you know what kills me about the TMA/TMP universe parallels? It's the fact that even with old characters showing up in the new series, we'll probably never hear from Tim or Sasha again. They were both long gone before Celia ever came along. She wouldn't have known about them - hell, most of the cast hadn't known about them by the time they joined. Nobody except Jon and Martin knew them, knew who they were and how their story ended. Their memory died with them both.

And maybe Sasha and Tim do meet again someday, somewhere else. Maybe their story doesn't end in tragedy this time. Maybe they're out there somewhere in this universe, living their own separate lives. Maybe Tim is happy again, without the grief of losing his brother and his best friend to the things that go bump in the night. But we'll never hear about it, so we'll never know.

Hello!! I've been using tumblr a bit more recently and so I was wondering if anyone wanted to be mutuals! :D

My interests include the magnus archives/protocol, malevolent, sherlock and co and sherlock BBC, good omens, madoka magic, gravity falls, toh and more (lots of anime, cartoons and podcasts)!

The music I like is Will Wood (I recently got into his music and omg it is consuming me) and music like Queen, the Beatles, some Nirvana and idk sorta just Dad music ig? (well the music my dad listens to at least)

I will mostly do brain and art dumps here but I also like to cosplay, rollerskate, do makeup, try crafts and music, read, sometimes write and more but my brain's too dead to think rn! :')

TO CLARIFY WHY I THINK CELIA IS DEFINITELY CELIA FROM TMA

Same name same voice actor, even Jonny isn't that bad at naming people

Obviously knows of the fears in someway

Its likely that Celia was told the fears during the eyepocalypse, probably so the "cult members" could better prepare themselves for any domains if that knowledge was ever needed.

She recognizes Chester's voice, and seemingly had a negative reaction to it, given it probably reminded her of the eyepocalypse

Clarification in the Clarification, I believe Celia doesn't remember the past world, as if it's been blocked off from her memory, and it'd make sense as well given she lost her original name in some way possibly related to memory loss if I'm remembering stuff right

So therefore Jon's voice was possibly a trigger for those barred off memories, especially since his voice was so important for it all.

Once again tying to the comments on the fears she makes far too many specific references to tma, 4 people in a basement reading spooky stories, tape recorders and folders, buried alive and flesh.

Of course this is likely Jonny and Alex teasing us, but with several of these comments it's becoming a pattern.

SO, OVERALL, it feels like itd be total bullshit if this isn't Celia from tma. Saying it now. Nobody teases and baits this hard with such specific lines that clearly reference tma. OF COURSE if this isn't the case I'll live, and there will hopefully be an explanation but at this point Jonny and Alex are just spelling it out so if it isn't her it'd feel like a lame cop out. Still love the magnus series, and this feels like it can't be a red herring.

As much as I want Jon and Martin to be okay in this universe, to be safe, to only have done a voice acting job for Chester and Norris… I also want them to get dragged into it.

Jon would obviously be curious. Even if they’re from the tma universe, he’d still want to know WHY Sam finds it necessary to find out more about to institute.

Martin would obviously be against this. He was always harder for the eye to control. But Jon would probably go behind his back and do some of his own research. I don’t think it’d be a full redo of season 2, but I do think if Martin didn’t sit down and have a long talk with Jon, he’d still do some checking up on Sam.

In short, I want them to be okay but I also want them to get torn to shreds all over again.

I have a question relating to one of my hyperfixations. Of the cast in both TMA and TMP, who do you think would be the most willing and who would be the most interested in sitting through my ten hour long rant on long-term nuclear waste disposal? My bet is Jon would be the most interested and either Martin or Alice would be the most willing.

It would be me. Like actually me, on condition we get into nuclear semiotics and heavy water etc.

Does anyone else feel like the fears are a bit more overlapping than before? Like maybe being extruded into a new reality made them less separate entities or 'Gods' and almost like elements (like the alchemical stuff we keep hearing about - Celia talks about it in the context of her transportation, Sam knows about it, Colin rants about it before smashing Alice's phone) that can form alloys and compounds with each other?

Like, the investment app that has you destroy your life for money feels very Devastation (specifically Jude's story) but then the guy gets swarmed by what the content warning suggests are bugs - and gambling is very the Web, as it's a type of addiction. (Ditto the violin story and the dice).

Mr Bonzo feels like the Stranger because it's that uncanny 'guy in a costume' thing but also Filth because he's described as having these pustules and being gross and rotting.

The guy who rots into the garden is very Filth aligned but also the Lonely (continuous night, very obviously being alone and hallucinating). And the whole garden thing is reminiscent of the Flesh garden.

The millennium dome site feels a lot like the Buried but again has that strong Filth connotation and the creation of doubles, like the Stranger.

There were always overlaps and that was sort of a key point in TMA's eye ritual storyline - that the entities do cross over and share common ground. BUT, it feels a lot more pervasive in TMP and the shift towards alchemy and the ideal of 'balance' is also new.

And we also have a new categorisation system, instead of each statement being about one fear, the OIAR has 2 categorisation 'slots' per piece of evidence. And this has changed how the wiki works as well. So it's almost like the structure of the story (and we've seen this before with the conceit of narration becoming a crucial part of the world building and story and not just 'because it's a podcast') now supports the notation of multiple entities per statement.

Anyone else feel like the fears are more...conjoined than before?
