Single Out the Shadows
[Image ID: A tiny Yugi stands, backlit and barely visible, at the end of a long, dark hallway. Most of the lights and parts of the walls are broken, with loose wires hanging in loops from the ceiling. Nearest the camera, on the left side of the hall is a room labeled "Inhabited Child," and through its glass door a small, hunched-over girl in tattered clothes can be seen. The room across from it is labeled "Paranormal Fungus," in which a large, bizarre pod is visible.
Strewn across the floor of the hall is broken glass and debris, as well as a few facility members' corpses. One has a creepy doll sitting on its torso, and another is pinned up on the far wall by rebar. Stretching along the length of the floor, starting at Yugi's feet and ending in the light cast by the closest rooms, is the ominous shadow of Yami Yugi. His Eye of Anubis, used for judgement and Penalty Games, is glowing bright yellow within the shadow's head.

Bakura: Where's Your Heart That Beats for Me?
Yugi: Single Out the Shadows
Marik: Waiting Silently for Hours
The Nursery in Secret World Legends is a horrible nightmare facility, with plenty of places to put poor Yu-Gi-Oh! kids, via "possessed child" crossover shenanigans. So after I did the screenshot edit with Bakura, I figured I'd go ahead with doing Yugi and Marik, as well. After all, they each fit the "Inhabited Child" experiment.
There is actually a tiny child that stands in that doorway in-game, I just drew Yugi over her. She also doesn't have the dramatic magic shadow…just hovers ominously, and skitters off when you step into the hallway proper. If you were to turn and look over your shoulder here, you could see the last remaining bright section of this hallway, and the isolated room Marik is in.
For those unfamiliar, Sleepless Lullaby is the quoted song—and is the only thing that plays in the Nursery, on loop, as a way to (try to) condition and pacify the kids.
(As you can see, it did not end well for the folks running the facility.)

ID: two digital colored illustrations featuring legolas, gimli, and aragorn. 1) legolas and gimli riding a horse together, with gimli sitting behind legolas in the saddle. legolas is a pale, skinny elf with long pale blonde hair, a big pointed nose, and long pointed ears. he wears green layers and a grayish cloak that matches gimli's and aragorn's. he's holding the reins and looking ahead with a deeply flustered and slightly bewildered expression. gimli is a short stout dwarf with ruddy, long curly hair and beard. he's wearing a helmet, red sleeves, matching cloak and an axe on his back. he grips legolas' sides for stability and looks away in the opposite direction with an equally flustered expression. 2) two drawings of aragorn on his horse. he's a slim man with tanned skin, stubble, and dark brown jaw-length hair. he's wearing a matching cloak and silver vambraces. he's holding the reins and looking behind him with narrowed eyes and an expression of annoyance. the second drawing is him in the same position with the same expression but he's rolling his eyes. end ID
re-reading the two towers again and decided to dig up and color these old sketches

Very self-indulgent design idea time!
When I was redrawing my timeline for Apollo’s life, I gave him horns as a kid, both as something he inherited from his mother and a nod to his place as the god of shepherding. I said that they were broken after his first battle with Python, and never regrew. Well, what if after his second battle with the same foe, they came back?
This is kind’ve tied to a little idea I’ve had for a while about how Apollo ascended in ToN. Bc I’m pretty sure Zeus did not restore his godly powers lol, that man was pretty intent on Apollo dying. I imagine that Apollo had some immortal powers in reserve (hence all the power boosts earlier in the series) that Zeus didn’t notice. And Zeus didn’t notice bc these powers were from his titan side, not his godly side. So when he fell into chaos and all that, those powers truly kicked in as a survival instinct, and he ascended to Olympus as a titan, not a god. Is this what happened in canon? Absolutely not! But I like to use it in my head as a silly little explanation lol.
Anyways Apollo and Leto with horns bc it’s cool and all of this is an excuse for me to slap horns onto their designs.

“alicent making homophobic remarks the night of laena’s funeral isn’t cool considering laenor was shown to be heavily grieving his sister and didn’t deserve to be attacked during it (not to mention it was an obvious ploy on alicent’s part to divert attention from her committing literal treason).”
“b-bUT WHAT ABOUT DAEMON AND RHAENYRA FUCKING-“
i’m not gonna lie i don’t particularly care that they had sex that night. was it disrespectful? for sure. did it harm anyone for them to do it? it, in fact, did not. two consenting adults having sex away from prying eyes and keeping to themselves < an entitled boy purposely calling a girl at her mother’s funeral (whom he had never interacted with before) a pig and ridiculing her grief. laena’s storyline was cut short because the writers decided she wasn’t important enough to make into a proper character that isn’t at the mercy of other characters (it’s something i’m forever going to be salty about, daemon and rhaenyra loved her with all their hearts and were absolutely devastated when she passed) but out of those two scenarios who do you think she would be more upset with?
the people who bring this up in retaliation cannot handle alicent taking any criticism whatsoever. in all honesty i wouldn’t even care if her fans would just say ‘yeah, it was shitty. don’t really care though.’ it would at least save me the time of reading think piece after think piece on why alicent deserved to get her lick back against rhaenyra for her lot in life (caused by otto and viserys) by focusing on her pain rather than her son’s. these are the same people who try to claim that most of rhaenyra’s children and step children secretly hate her, due to wanting ‘complex and nuanced relationships’ to occur (they actually also can’t handle that rhaenyra was a great mom all around to all of her kids, and that maybe they need to be focusing those feelings on the green kids with their parents instead). let’s be serious for just one moment: it makes more sense that the children who were neglected by one parent and abused by the other having complicated familial feelings than children who were (for the most part) raised in a relatively stable and loving environment.

Here's a riv!
I wanted to make my design for them more unique than what I had been doing so here!
I really like the idea of having side frills that connect to the arms, as well as the axolotl tail. They have extra gills near their ribs as well!
Their general body shape is similar to an otter's because i like the shape and then also they are both water creatures. Also tiny ears because most water animals have short ears. kitty.
