My headcanon on what the Dragon Hunter ship’s interiors look like!

I love how domestic it is. I imagine (if Hiccup had longer hair too) that they'd just braid each other's hair on a regular basis, just like this, I have this image/story in my head (of Toothless braiding Hiccup's hair too) and it's just perfect. Absolutely beautiful.

First time in a long while since I’ve drawn human!Toothless. But this is also the first time I’ve done Stormfly as a human. I absolutely love how she turned out. I was mainly inspired for their designs from the History Channel show Vikings. But I do have some lore

Stormfly, I wanted her to be bigger than Toothless in size. She is originated in the Nadder Tribe, where they’re known for their excellent battle tactics. Toothless is from the Fury tribe and his kind is spread out hidden, Berkians don’t know where at all Toothless’s tribe is hiding (I hate the idea of Toothless being the last of his kind so I’m sprucing it up). How Stormfly met Toothless was of course through Hiccstrid (Viking Percabeth) and Stormfly and Toothless began spending more time together. Toothless and Stormfly started dating. Mainly because Toothless and Stormfly’s tribes never interacted before. Which made the Nadder tribe shocked.

Anyways, I absolutely adore Stormless because they’re so adorable. They Percy and Annabeth. Sorry if the lore is messy or confusing I tried explaining it in the best way I can.

Omg, yes! I’ve thought of that! Maybe an unpopular idea but I think that Human Toothless would be black.

Oooh, cool idea: Toothless can change form at will from dragon to human and back again. Give me that weird shapeshifter-dragon romance!

Hybrid AU expect they’re not just humans with wings, they’re a whole separate species with their own biology, culture, customs etc.

Some extra details of this AU:

Dragons age slower than humans, but when Hiccup and Toothless meet they’re relatively around the same age.

Toothless is trapped in the cove after being shot down and can’t fly out because the fins on his tail affect balance and steering. He can’t climb out either because he’s in too much pain from the crash and has to heal.

Hiccup first realises that Toothless can actually understand him through body language and tone when he brings some food and Toothless offers him half as thanks.

The more they hang out, the more Toothless starts to understand human speech although he can’t replicate it. Soon Hiccup can fully talk to him and get responses through actions, as well as slowly starting to understand what each dragon noise roughly translates to.

At first Toothless won’t let Hiccup touch him, but as the trust grows, they touch hands (equivalent of the nose boop in forbidden friendship)

Hiccup quickly figures out that gentle head butting is like the dragon form of a cheek kiss, it’s a sign of affection.

Even after getting the new fin and being able to fly, Toothless chooses to stay because he doesn’t have anyone or anywhere to go back to, and he’s gotten too attached to Hiccup.

Dragons usually sleep in groups for protection and warmth, so once Berk makes peace with dragons and Toothless doesn’t have to hide anymore, he’s always trying to get under the blankets with Hiccup and goes all protector mode.

Dragons are fully sentient and understand emotions, right and wrong etc, they just don’t communicate like humans do. They still form strong bonds, will kick traitors out of tribes, protect their loved ones etc.

hey bestie if I told you I wrote a fic about Toothless becoming human and going through the cosmic horrors of experiencing true self-awareness would you read it? Okay cool cool. Before I send the link I feel obligated to tell you that there's a subplot where Snotlout falls in love with him. I know. I know. In my defense Snotlout doesn't know that he's Toothless. Also the chapter titles are references to plot points from American Classic Literature Book Flowers for Algernon. Yeah I have put a lot of thought into this thanks for asking. What was that? Tried to do a human toothless it may not be the greatest since it’s my first try but here have a little backstory about him

Toothless is his name ( he thinks it’s weird but he doesn’t mind it ) part of the lost night fury clan that’s it’s known for its powerful hunters , he doesn’t remember his real family , he was serving as a hunter for the queen like the rest of the people in her kingdom to steal the golden and diamonds that dragons’s nests had , he wasn’t a close range fighter but he shoot arrows from far distance that he put a fire purple on like the other hunters in his clan , one day a dragon sneaked behind him and pushed him from the cliff he was standing on he fall and got an injured that made him loss almost all his fingers on his left hand ( he use his left hand ) except for his thumb and index finger ( he can still shoot arrows but it’s way harder than before) as he was too weak to move the dragon came toothless though he will be killed by it but it didn’t toothless took his chances as he used what’s left of his energy to attack the dragon will an arrow Anesthetic for movement the dragon dropped but toothless couldn’t kill it so he tried to run but end up falling in a cove unable to climb it because of his disfigured hand
