hello lovely anon SO i did answer a little bit here but i'm going to elaborate on some things under the cut, bc i've had a lot of messages about it recently and i dont want people to be like disapointed if it's not what they think it is

basically, it is not going to be subtle! it’s not like a squint and you’ll miss it fic, it is very much age play heavy. not to the extent of like nappy (diaper if your american) wearing for example, (not that there’s anything wrong with that at all, just not where i’m taking it). but there will be scenes where like, max uses a dummy (pacifier if your american again lol), plays with rubber ducks in a bath daniel runs for him, cuddles soft toys daniel buys for him and those are just scenes i have written rn. there are also going to be sexual scenes where max is in that same ‘little space’, and a lot of the time he is essentially very non-verbal. also, in the begining, it’s not something they’ve had conversations about, very much something they muddle their way through together, max feeling safe and daniel getting to feel happy he can give that to max. it is all consensual but it is not like the ideal way to go about it ofc.

then, like i mentioned in the post before, something happens that makes daniel question a lot of what theyve been doing and how good for max it really is, which sparks them being sensible and having a conversation about it (which dm me for more details please if you want to know, or about anything to do with this fic really that you wanna know :) - but im not 100% on the details of this yet so im not gonna go into details now on the dash, and also dont wanna ruin the flimsy plot this has lol).

Something that I have noticed is I know almost nobody my age that goes to a food pantry. I know people who regularly run out of money for food and in general have to eat an unsuitable diet because that’s what they can afford and they still don’t go to a food bank, im not sure if it’s because they’re embarrassed or maybe if you didn’t grow up going you don’t know much about it but if you’re financially struggling I really recommend it. And look into other options for food assistance too like community fridges and gardens and other programs that can assist you, where I live Salvation Army pays for an allotted amount of grocery delivery for low income people every month, in the summer farmers take excess produce to the library to be taken by anyone who needs it, etc. There are a LOT of resources for free food that you can look into especially if you are literally not eating because of your financial situation
