Prince Tomato

Rank: Royalty, Soon-to-be King Kingdom: Slugs of the Garth Quote Title: “For a blessed day it is for the golden child, for they shall taste the finest flesh of fruit till the end of life.”

Family: Queen Spud (Mother) Queen Chickpea (Mother)

Biography: Prince Tomato is the shining pride of the Slugs of the Garth. He is the youngest Garth slug to acquire his Quote. This praise is what especially annoyed Queen Mulch of the Timberland slugs. Prince Tomato knows, and finds amusement in this disdain towards him, prodding her for a reaction. This led Queen Mulch to call Prince Tomato, "Tomato Wretch".

Though, some of Mulch's harsh thoughts about him aren't completely unfounded. He was spoiled his whole life, given all kinds of delicious fruits and riches, he expects everything to be handed to him on only the finest platter. He takes pride in his abilities, bragging about his talents to his peers, unknowingly (or knowingly) putting down their own accomplishments.

But, such high amounts of praise for his talents were the result of his hard work. Well, the hard work his mothers made him go through. It left him tired, but was made to "Keep going and stop slacking". Being seen as high-achieving, carrying pressure that everyone (and himself) places onto him, and other factors led him to gain "Gifted Child syndrome". He shuts down when he doesn't succeed, panicking at the worst outcomes that he can imagine. Fears of failure haunt the young prince.

However, a feeling of dread and unease is looming over the Garth. The young prince may soon be forced to shove aside his mental state in order to quickly mature, risking self destruction.

A few days ago I noticed someone had been chewing the newest shoots off my buffalo bur but hadn’t seen anyone big enough to do it so I shrugged and forgot about it. Today my father shows me someone has done the same thing to basically all of the top shoots of his tomato plants. And then mom found this huge tomato hornworm. Buddy you’re fucking huge good job
