just saw this tweet over on twitter
and my academic-with-a-special-interest-in-charms-placed-in-household-liminal-spaces ass is over here like
Wreaths, bunches of flowers, charms, souvenirs of special significance, religious items, etc. On the door, beside the door, placed above the door, buried beneath the threshold... Even in your yard leading up to your house. Anything, really.
If you put something that you associate with some kind of religious/cultural/family tradition or protective significance at a point of entrance/exit to your home, my nerdy ass would love to know about it.
Is it year-round? Seasonal? Something only associated with specific events or holiday? Where did you pick this tradition up?
And yes -- please, please tell me all about it in the tags. I'm so fucking nosy.

not gonna lie I sometimes feel strange posting baldi art in 2023. Like I know is not my fault that I didn't know about fandoms and stuff but seeing some old posts of fans having fun when baldis basics was so popular and posting arts and stuff and seeing people interacting with each other with their baldi blogs and...i don't know. I feel like I missed so much fun. I feel like a fake fan because I didn't join the fandom sooner and when I see people mention some events that happened in the fandom I just. can't say anything because I wasn't there (or either I don't remember that much?)

Congrats me for going on a stupid little walk for my stupid little mental health.
While I was on said walk a nasty little thought popped into my brain, saying I needed to pack up and go home. For good. I was thinking about how Im having trouble identifying my thing to look forward to, remembering how my trips to melb were always exciting, not just for home cooked pasta but for getting to do other fun activities and live the lifestyle I want, when all of a sudden the "i need to go home" appears. It was weirdly upsetting and anxiety inducing and i dont know if its true or not.

i think about that tik tok that had its rounds around here about, i believe, German vs Vietnamese hospitality? Where the German thought the dinner would be done but the Vietnamese thought the host and guest would be cooking together. And I present a third option where I’d love to help you cook dinner but if you hand me a rainbow cuisinart knife and a glass cutting board i am killing myself in your kitchen immediately except the blade is so dull i have to do it real sloppily and its going to take a while
