#tommy and tubbo have a fight over the discs
Text
Tumblr media
I still think about the dead silence when tommy realized what he said to tubbo during that fight
[image ID: a digital drawing of character tommy. he holds an enchanted netherite axe, raised but held loosely. his expression is shocked, with tears in his eyes.
his hair is sun-bleached, but growing in darker at the roots and it's tied back in a short ponytail. he has a scar on the right side of his lip stretching up toward his cheek. he has another scar across his nose stretching under his right eye. his right eye is starting to bruise to form a black eye. his nose is bleeding and the blood is smeared as if he tried to wipe it away. his lip is split and beginning to bleed. there are bruises on the sides of his neck in the vague suggestion of hands. a still healing burn covers his right forearm. his knuckles are split and bleeding from the fight. He wears a blue cloak with a white fur hood and gold claps and chain, a green bandana, a white shirt, brown cargo pants, and a darker brown belt with a pouch. His your tubbo compass hangs from his neck with the red needle pointing down.
In the background is the ruins of the community house. The wood plank floor darkens where the falling wall of water soaks it. The water foams white where it hits the floor. Behind the water are the crumbling remains of the stone brick walls. Behind that are the lake, grassy hills, and a forest.]

I'm not sure how many people know about this, but the entire script for the Green Festival was actually shown in Tommy's DSMP tribute video from last year. It seems to have been written by Dream (it mentions "I" at some point when referring to Dream), and it's pretty interesting to see how they planned out the lore streams and what changed in the actual streams.

Transcription can be found under the cut.
Transcription The festival is happening. Fundy, Tubbo, Quackity, Ranboo, Niki, and anyone else that is generally around lmanburg can attend. Everyone starts streaming early for the festival. Before the festival starts, Quackity Tubbo and Fundy (and ranboo? I'm not sure who was there originally), have a meeting about how they're going to kill Dream.
They talk about how Dream trusts Tubbo so Tubbo is going to have to be the one to do it. That they've become sort of friends since Tommy was exiled. Tubbo agrees, still slightly doubtful that it would work. Tubbo says that Dream agreed to show up with no armor to for the first time ever, honor lmanburgs laws.
The meeting ends and they start the festival, talking about how Dream said he would be a little late.
Tommy and Techno at this point have been planning how they're going to ruin the festival (and get back Tommy's disc from Dream). They know that Dream will show up, but they don't know how they'll fight him without him escaping. (Ranboo finds them on the outskirts of lmanburg and tells them that Dream agreed to show up in no armor? possibly?) That sparks that they can hide around lmanburg and ambush Dream when he's at the festival. Tommy and Techno improv and mess around while trying to build an "ambush spot" (all of this is sort of unimportant to the plot so can be adjusted to make funnier/better streams for those two).
Tommy and Techno start streaming about 30 minutes after the others.
After some festival activities have been done, Dream shows up in full armor, placing obsidian again in a wall formation. Everyone sees him and runs over confused about what's happening.
They hop in a call with dream (techno and tommy join too but tell eachother to be quiet before joining.) Dream starts screaming about what Tommy did and how he really screwed up this time (tommy is kind of afraid and is looking at techno for assurance), and everyone is confused about what Tommy did, especially tubbo. Dream yells about the fact that Tommy destroyed the community house, the longest standing structure on the server, and how he has to pay for it. Quackity and the others don't believe it and decide to go look with Dream. (Techno and Tommy follow stealthily behind (invis), no one should see them).
Sapnap and anyone else from the original Dream SMP can log on now or already be on and come over to see. (Awesam, Callahan, George(probably not), Sapnap, BadBoyHalo, Punz)
They stand in front of the shattered remains and everyone is shocked that Tommy would do this, and upset. Everyone is insisting that Tommy really screwed up and that it's horrible.
Tubbo agrees but insists that he and lmanburg had nothing to do with it. Dream says that as long as Tubbo has one of the discs, he has everything to do with Tommy. Tubbo seems shocked and thinks about what Dream said. All of the Dream SMP original members agree and are talking about how he should give it so they can burn it once and for all. Tubbo is reluctant but seems to agree that Tommy keeps doing things that would put lmanburg in danger, so he doesn't want association.
He seems like he is about to give the disc, so Tommy reveals himself (techno too) and gets into a screaming match with Tubbo about it.
--Tommy and tubbo fill in what happens here, but it's a big argument and fight probably mostly improv-
Eventually after both nearly dying, Tommy realizes that he's fighting his best friend and stops. Tubbo is angry and gives the disc quickly to Dream, saying that it's just a stupid disc. Tommy is hurt by that but realizes that he's been blinded and has lost friends because of it. Tommy realizes that Dream now has both of his discs, and that they're back at square one.
Dream has an evil speech about how Tubbo is an idiot and that he never should have given him the disc. That Tubbo was never the president of L'manburg, but that everyone else had more control than him of his own country, even Dream. That he's the worst president because he was no president at all. Expose Ranboo as a traitor that has been working with Techno and Tommy, and that he can't even keep control of his own people. Give Tubbo the book with proof. That l'manburg is weaker than it's ever been, and that the only thing stopping Dream from completely destroying l'manburg was the fact that Tubbo had the discs and so Dream had to befriend him.
Now there's nothing stopping Dream from completely obliterating l'manburg. Everyone seems shocked and tries to talk Dream down, but Dream screams and tells everyone to shut up. Everyone goes completely silent. Dream asks Techno if he has any withers left. Techno responds basically like "oh do III" because he has so many.
--Techno should add more here so he has more of a role-
Dream announces that tonight is the final night of l'manburg forever. That he and Techno will finish the job that Wilbur started, and that l'manburg will be blown all the way to bedrock at (TIME, the next day). He tells everyone to say their last goodbyes, and to not try and stop him because Techno and him will kill every last one of them.
Dream leaves.
Everyone is left in shock, (maybe techno has some funny monologue here like it's awkward that I just left him there with everyone or something)
No one knows what to say. They realize that Dream has gone completely insane and that he has to be stopped. (techno is gone by now) They realize that Dream made a mistake by telling them the time, and they decide that they will all plan to work together and stop them. If all of the server fights together they can beat Techno and Dream. They get hyped about it and Tommy and Tubbo agree to fight together, despite having 1 canon life, that they're willing to put their lives on the line for l'manburg. They kind of have a reunion.
--Possibly Tommy leaves or ends here?-
Quackity seems blood thirsty and wants to punish Ranboo for conspiring with them and being a traitor. Tubbo disagrees and Quackity and tubbo get into an argument, Quackity insists that he HAS to execute him because he was a traitor. Tubbo gets mad and flips out on Quackity insisting that he's not going to be like Schlatt and execute him next to his own festival decorations (call back), that they need to ALL be together, ALL of them, otherwise they will lose to Techno and Dream. As long as he agrees to fight, he will fight with them. Quackity still seems to disagree, Tubbo puts his foot down and mentions what Dream said. That everyone else always pushed him around, but no HE'S the president, and his word is final, anyone who goes against it is committing treason. Quackity reluctantly agrees, but says that what Tubbo said doesn't mean they can't deal with the traitors after they stop Techno and Dream.

Tips For Writing C!TommyInnit, From A Loser With Brainrot
Tommy is LOUD. Whether he's angry or excited or playing around, he's usually yelling. He is not aware of how loud he is unless he's specifically raising his voice to overpower the conversation (which he usually only does when he's angry at someone/thing, or to make a point). He's only quieter when he's serious, at peace, or very very sad
TOMMY IS SMART!!! He thinks things through when he has time to do so. He is strategic and considers other people's behaviors when he plans something out (ex building the tower overlooking the prison slowly, so Sam didn't get as suspicious, and making a point to only inhabit it when it was dark to be less noticed). Tommy knows how people act/think if he's familiar with them, and he uses that to his advantage.
However, Tommy's very impulsive, and his emotions overrun his brains very often. This happens the most when he's angry or scared.
Tommy lets people take pity on him 80% of the time. Unless it's a serious situation and he's trying to prove himself, (ex Logstedshire) he LOVES free shit and he very easily falls into the "oh poor little TommyInnit, he has no family to his name and is dirty and cold, won't you spare some netherite for his poor soul?" narrative.
Tommy is childish. He bickers over things that don't really matter and is the epitome of "he started it!!" when he gets in trouble. He also constantly nags at people until they cave to get what he wants. I have no idea how CC!Tommy plays being a youngest sibling SO WELL since he's an only child but that is exactly who C!Tommy is
Tommy is not brave. He hides behind people to avoid danger and he runs away from conflict if he can. The times where this didn't happen (Exile, Final Disc Confrontation, November 16th) were because he was backed into a corner, literally or figuratively, and was forced to fight back.
more under the cut bc this got very long lmao
Tommy is not very private UNLESS it concerns his past trauma. He will talk about what he's doing, every thought in his head, and what he thinks of everything he sees, UNLESS it's recounting what happened to him. Getting information like that from the source is like pulling teeth, even for people he trusts completely. The reasoning for this (best as I can tell anyway) is that he simply just doesn't want to relive it.
Tommy has a very black and white way of thinking about his allies. If someone helps his enemy, they are his enemy too. He doesn't really care about personal motivations or reasonings unless they're close to him (Tubbo) and he does not forgive easily.
However, he also recognizes power. When Tommy ran from Logstedshire, he ran to the person who killed his best friend because he knew Technoblade was very powerful against Dream. Another example is when he ran to Phil when Dream escaped prison and went after him, even though Phil destroyed L'manburg WITH Dream AND killed Wilbur, two things that Tommy vehemently hates him for. Tommy seemed to not be thinking very clearly when either of these events happened, so this may have been a purely impulsive decision made out of fear.
Tommy squirrels away his riches. He only breaks into his ender chest when he really needs the resources, ie diamond armor and weapons for a showdown. He actually has quite a lot of diamonds and gold if I recall correctly, but he still resorts to stone/iron tools and no armor in his day to day.
Kind of related to above, Tommy keeps momentos of people he cares about in his ender chest, where no one can reach them but him. He is terrified of losing these things because they remind him of when times were good, and he had people he loved. (This was actually said by him, I just don't remember the stream sorry ;;w;;)
Tommy is very stubborn. He doesn't cooperate very often and views the way he does things as the best way. The only time to my memory that he defaulted to someone else was when Wilbur was alive (L'manburg, Pogtopia)
Tommy likes maintaining his surroundings. This includes harvesting crops and replacing them, patching up creeper holes, and replacing missing blocks from his house or the Prime Path. He does these things without anyone telling him to, on his "down time" if you will, and doesn't really call attention to it
TOMMY LOVES ANIMALS. He doesn't like killing them and tries to eat carrots instead of killing for meat (although he doesn't seem to have qualms with eating meat that other people give him)
Tommy has a soft spot for kids/small creatures. He tried very hard to hate Michael because he was bitter about Ranboo and Tubbo's friendship but he broke almost instantly if I remember correctly. He fawns over "cute" things and gets thoroughly distracted from whatever he was doing if he notices a baby chicken or something
Tommy is rarely still. He almost always is doing something with his hands (ie building, chopping trees, etc) if he's in conversation with someone. The only times where he actually sits down and stops is when he's watching the sunset on his bench, or having a self reflection moment/processing heavy information.
I'll stop here, but I plan on making another post that more goes into his speaking mannerisms and whatnot. I hope this helps somebody trying to write C!Tommy, feel free to send me an ask if you have specific questions!!

Dream SMP is officially over. And weirdly enough, I’m not crying about it. On the contrary, I have the stupidest grin on my face.
God what an experience. No words can describe the craziness of it all. It was wild. And in a good way.
I started watching Dream SMP with BlueberryTV’s edited videos on YouTube, but the moment it really ticked for me, the moment that made me love it was the first Disc War. Seeing TommyInnit and Tubbo hunting Tommy’s discs, fighting Dream, Tommy doing this INSANE block clutch, that’s when I thought “Fuck, this is what everyone’s freaking out about!”. And I started to love it more and more.
Then there was L’Manberg, and GOD this whole arc was one of my favorites with the Exile. This is when I started loving the lore but also the content creators and their characters. This is when I started loving TommyInnit’s content, and now he’s my favorite YouTuber!
This server changed my life. I met people through it that I now consider my best friends, and I have some of the best memories of my life with them.
Dream SMP helped me get through what was probably the hardest part of my teenage years, as 2021 (the year I started watching) was the year I started high school, and I also went through a lot of personal issues that were, honestly, very shit.
I love this server to bits. I loved every single part of it and if I were to do it all again I wouldn’t change a single thing.
Thank you so much to all the fanartists and animators that inspired me and pushed me to become better at my art, and to want to be an animator even more.
Thank you so much to the fanfiction writers who made me cry, laugh, who put a smile on my face with their godly written fics that made me stay up ridiculously late at night just to finish a chapter because the story was just so good.
Thank you Minecraft for just being an amazing game in general.
Thank you so much to all the content creators who put their heart and soul into making the best, most down-to-earth, funniest Minecraft roleplay I have ever seen.
Thank you Tommy, Wilbur, Quackity, Tubbo, Technoblade, Ranboo, Dream, Awesamdude, Eret, Niki, Karl Jacobs, Badboyhalo and everyone else for creating the most amazing stories ever. My hands are literally shaking I can’t write everybody’s name.
Thank you, Dream SMP. Thank you for the laughs. Thank you for the tears. Thank you for the memories I will always cherish. Thank you for the indescribable joy you gave me.
Thank you for everything.
It was meant to be.

So a few of my irls were talking about how c!dream never targetted c!tommy and or had a dependency issue and I just wanna correct that.
c!Dream at the start of the series (since now the start is considered canon) constantly went after the discs even when c!Tommy told him he wanted to have a truce and that they were allies even wanting to play them together with c!Dream. c!Dream agreed to those terms but then attacked him 5 minutes later anyway.
Not forgetting the first disc fight where c!Dream targetted c!Tommy the whole time and only gave c!Sapnap and c!Ponk and c!Alyssa a slap on the wrist.
c!Dream spent a good portion of a Tommy stream donating him msgs to play the discs.
A couple of early streams of c!Dream trying to get c!Tubbo o someone else against c!Tommy.
Not really targetting but he said "Tommy is under my protection" which is that dependency thing idk it counts.
c!Dream built a tunnel to c!Tommys base.
c!Dream during L'manberg arc seemed more against c!Tommy than c!Wilbur and the others more often than not.
c!Dream focused on getting c!Tommys friends against him, such as most notably c!Tubbo and c!Wilbur in pogtopia arc.
c!Dream betrays c!Tommy in pogtopia arc after initially helping c!Tommy out. He tells c!Tommy this is due to 'business' he also tells him, 'that he put something better over friendship' (aka the revival book he got from c!Schlatt) (either way, he still betrayed him.)
He tells c!Tommy at the end of l'manberg blowing up that 'everythings just getting started', and makes it out as if c!Tommy was in the wong.
A few weeks before exile. c!Dream and c!Puffy went around destroying everything including c!Skeppys home and then framing it on c!Tommy with signs. c!Dream in particular is excited for people to log on and for them to get mad at c!Tommy.
The above was confirmed canon when during Exile trial, c!Dream says that c!Tommy had blown up c!Skeppys house (or he infers it), showing the damage that he himself did.
In Exile trial, I'm not gonna lie c!Tommy totallyyy fucked up here by burning a little TINY tiny small tiny bit of c!Georges home and then trying to fix it. And then he lied about it. (/sarc) But, c!Dream was provoking him in the whisper chat with ":)" and "have fun on probation :)"
During exile, he focuses on putting all blame for his problems on c!Tommy. Not just saying that to c!Tommys face but on other people's streams, he was there talking about how much of a nuisance c!Tommy is and what not.
In exile, he proceeds to get c!Tommy dependent on him so c!Tommy will help with his goals later on. But the way he goes about this is to a severe extreme like how he snaps at him and hits him with an axe or arrow, he takes great enjoyment in bullying c!Tommy and getting others like c!Lazarbeam to bully him too, he makes sure c!Tommy is completely lonely even sending c!Ghostbur away who was memory loss so how could he break c!Dreams plans exactly?, he gasights c!Tommy into thinking that c!Dream didn't kill Mexican Dream, he blows up c!Tommys base despite never telling c!Tommy the rule about how he can't have chests underground.
He goes onto track c!Tommy down. And again, its more the way he goes about it.
Once c!Tommy is back in L'manberg, c!Dream blows up the community house and frames it on c!Tommy. Getting everyone against him and he tells c!Tubbo that he is affiliated to c!Tommy based on the disc that he says is 'Tommys most prized possession' which is him getting c!Tubbo to go against c!Tommy once more.
After Lmanberg gets blown up again. c!Dream tells c!Tommy "I'm not done with you. Our stories not over... Our stories not over" c!Tommy says "Our stories not over but it will be... It will be soon" and c!Dream replies "I don't think our story will ever be over, Tommy. I think that you're just too fun. I don't think It'll be over."
In disc finale, he proceeds to act like that c!Tommy is his main target, calling him the key to the server and going after him more than c!Tubbo. And puts the idea in c!Clingyduos heads that he needs all the possesions to control the server. (now even though c!Dream staged this whole thing and wasn't actually saying his motivations, c!Tommy never knows that he lied about that not at this point at least. It further riles c!Tommy up and has him believing that c!Dream really is obsessed with hurting him and since c!Dream never explains why properly, it comes off to c!Tommy that he is obsessed for no reason.) (Also possible for it to be half staged making the motivations semi-true)
Then, c!Dream causes c!Tommy to get stuck in the cell with him by controlling c!Ranboo to do that (which this is confirmed that he really did do this, confirmed in the final lore stream and in dream xds video)
The point of c!Dream allegedly lying to make c!Tommy think c!Dream was after him all the time is further solidified when in the prison arc. c!Dream refers to c!Tommy as a light, and key and keeps going on about studying death with him. I know a lot of this may very well be real and a result from him being mentally ill from isolation, but theres so many lies sprinkled in here like telling c!Tommy that he never tested out the revival book before when he had (btw correct me if Im wrong here, I could of got the dates mixed up)
c!Sam also claims that c!Dream kept going on about c!Tommy in the prison, c!Sam also says that c!Dream was practically manically laughing after he killed c!Tommy. (Obsession, putting on an act of obsession, mentally ill from the prison sure maybe all 3)
After c!Dream escapes prison, he immediately goes after c!Tommy. (Which sure is to scare c!Tommy into no longer going after him or whatever it could be an act) But he's still putting the idea in c!Tommys head that he's obsessed with hurting him, and don't say that he did this unintentionally because we already have the 'you're too fun line' and several other moments to prove otherwise. He also then puts signs around c!Tommys home saying 'watch your back' and ":) I'm watching" and he makes a trap for c!Tommy to fall into playing back a messed up disc. Don't say that this was apart of c!Tommys delusion because c!Eryn saw it too and a few others did from what I remember-unless thats retconned idunno.
In c!Wilburs finale, c!Dream can't stand the idea of the discs being burned. (The discs are affiliated with c!Tommy as c!Dream has said before, and has said that the discs are c!Tommys most prized possesion) He still cares about them even now. He also watches c!Tommy for majority of the time.
In Dreams space, he claims that his character was not solely torturing c!Tommy for the sake of it, but that he still really enjoyed hurting c!Tommy. Its to vague to tell if Dream is denouncing the 'c!Dream is obsessed with c!Tommy' theory or not. I believe he is saying that it is half true- as in that his character is, but that he has reasons to do so, and or that this wasn't his only plan.
During the final lore finale, c!Dream claims that he wasn't targeting c!Tommy and that he had left him alone however that contradicts with everything I wrote above, so 1. He thinks he left c!Tommy alone, 2. He was referring to the present where he did leave him alone and purposely/or accidentally ignoring the past, or 3. he knows he didn't and is just trying to rile c!Tommy up. Either way he goes onto admit that he did cause c!Ranboo to get c!Tommy stuck in the prison. He also confirms later on that he genuinely believes c!Tommy is the cause of the ruining of his server. "Why are you ruining everything all the time" "You deserved it (torture)" "I am (a villain), I tortured you."
And not to mention. Out of everyone on the server that gets c!Dream to give up and somewhat open up, its c!Tommy... because ofc it is. No ones surprised.
I think that's everything. as always I'm happy to debate with people and stuff preferably in dms but idm. If anything is wrong, correct it. If anything is missed, let me know. ty

So Tommy has always struggled with the idea of either being the hero or becoming a villain.
Early on, he was actually excited, he wanted to be seen as a hero who can save the day. He was young and eager to be taken seriously and hungry for some glory.
But things changed. Wilbur would one day suggest to Tommy that they should be the villains. This horrified Tommy who could then not stop Wilbur's descent into villainy where he would of course blow up L'Manburg.
Over the course of his season 2 arc he struggles with both ideals, struggling under the burden of being a hero and fearing that he was doomed to follow Wilbur's path. And he gets very close to the latter after he's isolated and considers blowing up the server as well before rejecting it entirely and choosing Tubbo. He never gets near to that point again.
So, having rejected villainy is he doomed to follow Dream's script and play the hero in Dream's game? Disc finale comes and he confronts Dream so maybe he is forced into the role.
Now however, Tommy's been trying to take a third option because he doesn't want the responsibility. He wants to be out of the spotlight. He'll be neither.
So Tommy does nothing. And he waits.
All throughout the series, Tommy has longed for someone to guide him. He wants to follow someone else's lead, whether it be Wilbur or Dream or Technoblade or even Philza if he'd let him. But that's never worked out.
As Tommy says to Tubbo, they're not kids anymore. They can't run from responsibility. If Tommy hides away, he's never going to be happy. No one else is going to take care of Dream for him if he does nothing.
And as much as he hates the burden of responsibility he also knows no one else is going to save him. They're not kids anymore and they'll never get those days back.
So Tommy makes a plan himself. Because at the end of the day, he's willing to fight for his happiness. It doesn't matter how others label him.

---
VOD LINKS:
Aimsey
Eryn
Eret
---
[Archive of Previous Recaps]
---
- Aimsey reflects on his time on the server so far. He wishes he could have someone to talk to. It seems like everyone is gone. Eryn, meanwhile, listens to the disc “Mall” alone as he mines blocks underground
- There is one person who Aimsey has still become friends with...sort of. They tried to break into a mansion together, but in the end had a good talk
- Aimsey goes to the Community House and finds Eryn's underground area. Eryn, meanwhile, has been thoroughly defeated by a skeleton
- Aimsey finds Eryn in his dirt house. He has spent ten weeks mining, because what else is there to do?
- The two go back up to the surface and head to Daisy Hollow for a hot chocolate and some heart-to-heart talking. Eryn’s tried talking to people, but everyone’s always upset all the time and that itself is upsetting
- Aimsey and Eryn go on a walk. Aimsey asks if Eryn’s talked to Tommy recently. Eryn hasn’t. Tommy’s been talking to Wilbur
- Eryn shows Aimsey the place where he killed BadBoyHalo, who then adopted him. They try to play a game on the chess board, then Eryn tells Aimsey he heard voices near the crater
- He explains that he woke up after he’d passed out in the water at the bottom, and doesn’t remember what happened next. The two keep asking each other how they’ve been and deflecting every time
- Ponk logs on. They say hello
- Aimsey asks about the voices. Eryn hears people dying. At one place, he heard Bad speaking at some sort of party and then everyone screaming. Eryn would still do anything for Bad. They’ve had a little chat about it
- Aimsey asks if Eryn has ever lost anyone. Eryn asks Aimsey the same. Aimsey tells him about Guqqie
- Eryn kills a llama
- Ponk jumpscares them. Ponk is in bad shape after running into a yeti
- They ask what happened to Ponk’s arm. Ponk asks if they know Sam. Aimsey thinks Sam is nice, while Eryn thinks Sam is evil. Sam is what happened to Ponk’s arm
- The three break into Puffy’s duck to find a bed. Eryn plays them Mall. While Ponk is sleeping, Eryn wants to find Sam and kill him
- Eryn accidentally wakes Ponk up. If anyone is going to kill Sam, it’s going to be Ponk. Aimsey doesn’t want more murder, just wants to know what happened
- Word on the street is, they say, Sam killed Ranboo
- Aimsey wants to go talk to Sam and find out the story instead of seeking revenge. Ponk tells Aimsey that the history of the server is violence. You have to fight to survive, and Sam is a threat
- Ponk and Eryn are going to hunt Sam. Aimsey still doesn’t want to be involved. They tell Aimsey to be ready for danger, and Ponk says goodbye
- Eryn tells Aimsey he’s half demon. He used to have horns, but they got ripped off
- There’s something Aimsey wants to do. The two say their farewells and leave. Eret logs on
- Aimsey returns to Daisy Hollow and looks at his note to Guqqie. Aimsey misses Guqqie every day. But, Aimsey has begun to accept her loss
- Aimsey goes to speak with Eret at the museum. Eret explains what happened with Sam and Michael the piglin. Aimsey didn’t even know Ranboo had a son
- Eret and Aimsey talk about past mistakes and moving on. Aimsey then asks Eret about Dream. Eret is surprised that Aimsey doesn’t know who he is
- Eret tells Aimsey a bit about what happened to L’manburg, and how Dream was put in prison. She then tells Aimsey the story of Exile
Eret: “As long as he wants it...there is no too high of a cost.”
At the museum, Eret has a recreation of the prison cell as well as Tubbo’s detective book with the timeline of Tommy’s visit
- Eret takes Aimsey to Puffy’s canon life graveyard. Aimsey sees Ranboo’s and Wilbur’s memorials
- Aimsey learns of Wilbur’s revival. People don’t stay dead forever here... Aimsey glances over at Ranboo’s grave again. Eret doesn’t know why Dream would revive Wilbur
- Aimsey is excited by the idea that they can bring people back, but Eret reminds him that that power is in the hands of the worst person. Still, Aimsey wants to bring people back. They have hope
- Long ago, Eret used to have a group called the Knights of Eret, with HBomb and Puffy. She thinks they might be able to put together a similar group against Dream
- Aimsey leaves and Eret goes to speak with H, telling him about the “Knights of Hope” and their new goals
- If H joins the Knights, he is welcome to Eret’s resources and his previous space at the castle
- Foolish claims to know Eret from a previous life, he might be a possible recruit
- H agrees to Eret’s deal
- Later, Eret makes a list of all the people she wants to ask. Foolish, Puffy, Michael, Ponk, and possibly more

A Custom Gadget For You!
Tommyinnit x male reader (Slightly geared towards romantic but can be seen as platonic)
Fluff
Prompt: M/N makes gadgets and after Tommy loses his discs he makes him something to remember them by
CW/TW: Cursing
M/N is used (meaning male name)
A/N: Just found out that it's L'manberg with an E not a U how did I not find this out until now??? 😭
"Wilbur..." Tommy spoke softly into comms. All of the citizens stood in the ruins of L'manberg, Tommy had said that he wanted to talk to Dream after their duel, so now everyone was waiting for Tommy's arrival back into the walls so they could get their stuff and leave.
"Yes, Tommy?"
"I've secured our independence." The tone of Tommy's voice sounded like he was completely drained, like he had lost it all.
Everyone stood there dumbfounded, staring at each other with shocked eyes. "Wha- How?" The confusion in Wilbur's voice was evident.
"I gave Dream the discs."
"Wait both of them?!" Tubbo spoke quickly.
"But I thought the deal was to only give him Mellohi?" M/N inquired.
"Yes, I gave Dream both Cat and Mellohi, in exchange for L'manberg's independence."
"Tommy my boy, get back here right now! We have to celebrate!" Wilbur shouted as everyone began to cheer.
[Time Skip to 2 days later]
After L'manberg was declared independent from the Dream SMP everyone started to clean up the debris and fill in the craters.
Or most of them.
"M/N where are you? Tommy and I don't want to be the only one fixing L'manberg." Tubbo complained, the sound of splashing water made it clear that they were probably getting the river water out of the craters.
M/N rolled his eyes and continued to work, ignoring Tubbo's complaints. "Why don't you ask Fundy to help? I'm sure he'll help y'all."
"What? You think I want to work with fur boy? Working with Tubbo's already annoying enough."
"Hey!"
"Okay, I'm leaving this VC before you two start fighting and blow out my ear drums, Ciao."
The signature sound rang through the boys' ears as they heard their comrade leave.
"I'm ringing him again." Tubbo pulled out his communicator, ringing the boy once more.
Tommy rolled his eyes and continued to shovel water out of the crater.
After a few minutes M/N picked up. "Tubbo, I'm busy!"
"With what? I'm gonna need a reason to tell Wilbur when he gets back and doesn't see you helping."
M/N stayed silent before speaking. "Is Tommy here or like really close by where he can hear you?"
Tubbo looked around and saw Tommy putting away some extra materials in a chest. "No he isn't close but why would that matter?"
"I'm making him a gift."
"A gift finally confessing your love?" Tubbo half joked.
"Ha, ha very funny Tubbo, but no, ever since he lost Mellohi and Cat he's been well, more moody? I know that he plans on getting them back but until then I wanted to help out, The both of us know how important those discs were to him."
Tubbo went silent for a moment. "Alright well hurry up, I don't want to cover for your ass."
M/N laughed. "Alright, I'm almost done so I'll be heading over in a second."
"Okay, see ya when you get here." The two said their goodbyes before leaving the VC and M/N alone with his thoughts.
After a couple of minutes messing with the mechanisms, M/N was finally done, he smiles slightly, proud of his work and lifted up the top of the box, inside on a small pedestal was two figure, both were of Tommy, though one was him in his normal attire and the other was him in his L'manberg outfit. The Tommy in normal attire held the two discs high in the air with a bright smile on his face while the L'manberg Tommy had one arm outstretched with both discs in hand, simulating Tommy giving the discs to Dream. Placing the box down, M/N twisted one of the cogs on the back and when he let go, he admired his work, the two figures were spinning slowly in a circle while cat played through the music box, after a few minutes the sound stopped and M/N twisted the other cog, this time, Mellohi played, the two figures spinning once more.
M/N smiled brightly and closed the box, halting all music that was playing and tied a red ribbon around it. He walked out of his house with the music box in hand, towards the walls.
Tommy was almost finished fixing the craters that were left over from the war, Tubbo had ditched him not to long ago for something he didn't remember so he was left to fix up the rest of the ground, which also meant, taking his time to walk back to his house to get some more dirt seeing as he had ran out. So now he was on his way back, he slipped past the trees and out onto the clearing where the broken caravan sat. He was looking down, not really paying attention to where he was going until he heard his name.
M/N walked towards the boy with a box of some sorta in his hands.
"Hey M/N where were you?"
"I was busy, why did you miss me?" The boy replied in a mocking tone.
"If by missing you, you mean that I missed the fact that I could've been done filling in these craters. Then yes I missed you." Tommy had a smirk on his face, using the same tone to M/N.
Tommy's eyes glanced at the box in M/N's hands.
"What's that?" Tommy questioned.
"Oh! This is for you, it's a gift." M/N handed Tommy the box, who had a puzzled look on his face.
"Why? I mean I'm not complaining free stuff is free stuff but why?"
"Well I noticed how down you looked after you lost your discs, so I made you a music box to remember them." as M/N explained, Tommy untied the ribbon and opened the box.
"Is- Is this me?"
M/N nodded and stood beside Tommy, turning the music box around, showing him the two cogs, one was green and the other was purple.
"When you turn the green cog, it'll play cat while the purple one plays mellohi." he explained
"And I know you're getting your discs back but until then, you have a way to listen to them." M/N smiled
Tommy pulled M/N into a hug, "Thank you."
M/N wrapped his arms around Tommy mumbling a small "You're welcome" back to him.
********
My apologies for this one taking so long, I honestly shouldn't have considering I knew exactly how I wanted everything to go it was just a matter of writing it. But it's here now! I hope you all liked it, just some sweet fluff, and I have another draft that I may or may not get out some time this week, who knows.

I don't know how many dsmp-ers agree with this, but from a storytelling standpoint, c!Dream is just. A bad villian. I think it's a big reason why the ending is so universally hated.
I think in the beginning, it was okay, because we were all expecting more depth to get added to his character later. I saw so many fancomics and theories and analyses that gave such good ideas for a solid character, motive, and overall, a good villian. But we never really got that payoff.
He starts off with a basic "control obsessed" trait. He opposes the L'Manbergians for a mildly valid reason, and then only gives up the fight for control over Tommy (the discs). Then, Schlatt gives him the revive book; he gets even more control crazy. It's a good setup, but it never pays off in the way we want it to. The ending is unsatisfying for many, and nobody really stops to pity Dream, even though that's what they're trying to do. They're trying to pull this "aw, what a tragic character" card, but it's ultimately unsuccessful. Why? Well...
As I said, the setup is good, but things get muddled in the middle. After Dream gets the revive book, there is not a single moment where he's protrayed in any positive light. In fact, after this point, people's view of him gets worse. He slowly becomes more and more unforgivable. The problem with this is that after a certain point, characters cannot have a redemption arc. Or, at the very least, it would be very, very difficult. Dream hits this point. Once he hits that, the ending that people are expecting for him likely ends in death, or worse. The most satisfying ending for the audience is for him to die in a dramatic fashion—kind of like what happened with Schlatt. Schlatt's a good villian with a good ending; it's a satisfying end for a villian while still making it clear that our protagonists' stories are not over. We expected something like that for Dream, and frankly, nothing else would make sense. He had become so evil that the only option was death. There was no pity.
After he escapes from prison, we were ready for this ending. Clearly, it was ramping up for some big finale. And then, he never shows up. I recognize that there were other things going on behind the scenes that led to the lack of content, but it got to such a point that I was beginning to doubt if it ever would get an ending. I started to think that the dsmp would just fade away, all because their lead villian would not show up. All that build up to a dramatic death was, well, dying off. It was taking too long.
And then, when the ending did come along, it only pushes his "evilness" more. He reveals his revive book experiments and his end plan for Tommy and Tubbo. For a moment, the fact that he was gone for so long disappeared. The tensity is back.
And then they pulled the pity card.
It felt like a cop-out. There was no build up to it, no extra scenes with him before this moment where we stop to see his stuggle. No earlier streams where we can see him in an even slightly positive light. It just doesn't happen. So, of course, when they pull the "why can't things just be simple?" we all are yanked from the illusion of the world.
There are a lot of problems with the ending, but the failure to understand Dream's character, role as a villian, and audience expectations for him definitely harm the ending more than others.
I'd love to hear if you guys agree or disagree or just have anything to add! This is just my opinion, so I'd love to hear if anyone thinks differently. I like analyzing <3

POST ABOUT THE GODS AU I CANT CARRY THIS BURDEN ALONE
you would be the one to ask 💀 I've been tormenting you for YEARS with this au
okay so since this is going to be a massive word vomit post ill put it under a cut after I give a quick summary of the basic premise
so there is a family of gods who are known to be cruel. who have a hatred for all mortals and will use them for their own entertainment as some sort of sick punishment for the wrongs of the past
philza, the God of death, and his sons techno, wilbur, grian (you can ask about this LATER), and tommy. who are the gods of blood, madness, tragedy, and chaos respectively
now to give a brief summary up to right before purgatory (I will be skipping over the grian stuff but if you want to know more about that I will explain) meaning I'm not going into full detail, because if I did this post would be a novel
*disclaimer!!!!!! I HATE dream but unfortunately he is a big villain in this au so he is gonna get mentioned just be aware that he will always be the most vile person in any au I make
DSMP
SO it all starts when wilbur gets bored of his challenges (the 100 player challenges) and decides he wants to do something new. he takes tommy and they disguse themselves as mortals and go to the land of dsmp to spread their madness and chaos there
tommy pretended to befriend tubbo because he found him interesting and then the three of them created l'manburg. tubbo doing it for a place to be free and the two gods doing it to see how other residents would react
the revolution was exactly what they wanted, beautifully chaotic and allowed wilbur to let his madness infect everyone who opposed l'manburg
erets betrayal wasn't planned but it was wonderfully entertaining for the gods watching the revolutionaries get beaten over and over just to keep getting back up
in the end tommy makes the deal to trade his disc's for independence because he and wilbur had already planned an election
and the elections go exactly as planned with the betrayal of schlatt being planned since the beginning. you see schlatt was someone wilbur had previously turned mad and he knew exactly what would happen if he brought him in
in Pogtopia is where things start to go off track, because tommy starts to realize that maybe his friendship with tubbo isn't just pretend and he starts trying to convince wilbur that blowing up l'manburg won't be as entertaining and leaving it be (it doesn't work)
techno just makes things more complicated because he wants blood to spill, and to help his brothers with their little game
the red festival and tubbos execution creates a conflict between techno and tommy, and wilbur just thinks it's because tommy wanted to mess with tubbo more. to settle this argument they fight in the pit
November 16th is when everything goes ary. at first everything is according to plan, techno "betrays" them, wilbur blows up the country, phil is waiting in the wings to collect all the souls. but then something unexpected happens, tommy doesn't go through with his part of the plan and refuses to kill tubbo
the others have to improvise, because even though they could kill everyone there, tommy doesn't want to and they aren't going to go against family, they couldn't care less about the mortals but tommy is another story and if he wants to play nice they'll let him play nice (for now). wilbur and phil stay back to keep an eye on him while also playing the parts of father haunted by his dead son just for the fun of it
and tommy does well for a bit, keeping his chaos in check at least, and not seeing tubbo as just another mortal (he couldn't care less about the others), he does find the newcomer interesting though and doesn't immediately dismiss them
when his chaos reaches a point where he needs to let some out he takes the new guy (ranboo) and goes to rob the mushroom house, things get a bit outta hand and the house ends up burning
tommy takes the fall
he gets exiled by the same person he went against his family for
he is hurt
brought to logstedshire, he plays along with whatever, letting his chaos and wilburs madness infect dream, taking joy in watching it consume the man. when he finally gets bored he leaves and joins his brother at his cabin
not even a week later the butcher army come to try and execute techno, which doesn't end well at all. tommy stayed behind while techno humored the mortals letting them attempt their little execution than easily breaking free and killing quackity in the process. phil goes with him
doomsday is planned by the gods to get back at the mortals who hurt their youngest. tommy blows up the community house so he give the warning for what's to come
during actual doomsday they finally reveal what/who they are, so the residents of New l'manburg can see just how badly they fucked up
tommy is supposed to kill tubbo, before he can however tubbo asks him if it was all fake, and tommy is honest. tells him that in the beginning it was but at some point that changed, and he started caring and now he'd be lying to himself if he said he didn't. he can't even bring himself to kill tubbo
something shifts in tommy and he is no longer chaos, and instead becomes loyalty
phil, techno, and wilbur are blinded by rage towards the people who made tommy hurt and attempts to kill tubbo but something unexpected happens
for his accomplishment of doing the impossible, making a cruel God kind, tubbo is turned into a God. the God of forgiveness
the three leave once tommy runs up and hugs him, realizing Tommy's domain has shifted and that like it or not a pair of gods have just been born
ranboo ends up being taken to the cabin along with tubbo because he has no where else to go. it helps that the gods have all taken a liking to him
over the next few months tubbo along with ranboo start working with the gods to try and get them to see mortals as more than just tools for their entertainment (the two also get married and adopt micheal at this point)
everyone else on the smp believe beeduo got kidnapped by them and keep trying to "save them" and failing miserably every time
ranboo happily playing cards and winning with them, cut to quackity spying on them and thinking this must be some advanced torture technique
all is well until tommy and tubbo get attacked by dream using a god killing axe (he was angrey that tubbo took his only chance to become a god and now wants to kill him). while protecting tubbo and fighting back (killing dream twice) sam and the others arrive and think it's tommy who snapped and attacked first (they still think he is chaos)
he gets captured and put into the prison that was built to keep the gods imprisoned. tubbo runs back to the cabin and tells the others what happened, and while he is breaking down tubbos domain shifts from forgiveness to destruction and becomes cruel
Niki joins them at this point and the syndicate is formed
over the next few months while tommy is trapped in the prison, tubbo pretends to be glad he is free and roams the server letting off radiation and slowly weakening and killing anyone he comes across. just biding his time until the syndicate is ready to break tommy out
when they are ready they strike at night, tubbo gets in by pretending he wants to settle things with tommy and "get peace", once he is on the moving bridge he reveals his true colours letting his radiation kill the warden
he finds tommy weak and in chains, tommy who even after months in prison, has not gone cack to chaos. wasting no time tubbo destroys the chains and breaks down the "impenetrable" walls with his destruction. meeting up with the rest of the syndicate who were waiting on the outside
ranboo and Niki were told to stay behind at the cabin incase tubbo couldn't control his power, unfortunately that's what dream was expecting. so while the gods aren't there to protect them, dream attacks, they hold him back long enough for the others to get back but right as they get there ranboo is struck with the same axe dream used against tommy
niki takes tom so tubbo and wilbur can go to ran, while techno and phil fight off dream. wilbur plays a song to keep ranboo calm, while tubbo tries to stop the bleeding. in this moment they are not the cruel gods they are known as, and like tommy months earlier, their domains shift
madness becomes music, blood becomes protection, and death becomes family
dream is killed for good this time, ranboo is healed by phil who refuses to let his death take him, and they leave for good with the few people they care about. they can learn to be kind later for now they need to heal
between dsmp and qsmp
there is about a 1000 year gap between the two. and the first 400 of those years is spent happily traveling together and leaning to be kind with ranboo and micheal, who have been made functionally immortal by phil (he asked beforehand of course)
wilbur is the first to split off wanting to play his music for the world and distance himself from his past madness. then tommy leaves because he wants to explore the world, techno goes with his for protection
leaving phil to look after the _Beloved family who have made a little home for themselves. tubbo has to leave occasionally go preform whatever duties he has as a god, but he always comes back. and micheal goes on his own adventures for years, even decades at a time, he too always comes back
after 200 years of this little routine ranboo asks phil the question he's been dreading for 600 years. he waits until tubbo is out of the house and asks if he could take back the immortality. says that he's been thinking about it for a long time and now that he's lived such a long life he's ready. when phil asks if tubbo knows, ranboo can only say his expression would make him change his mind
after explaining that ranboo would still have to live out the rest of his natural lifespan and that ranboo has to promise to tell everyone sooner rather than later, it is done, and ranboo is mortal once again
the first ones told are micheal and tubbo, who comes home a year later, the tears are expected and there are a LOT of tears, it's almost like ranboo would drop dead any minute and not live nearly another 100 years. tommy, techno, and wilbur find out not long after and their reactions are similar, with lots of tears and hugs
they all promise to make as many memories in the next 100 years as possible
and once those 100 years are up, phil personally escorts ranboo to the afterlife to be taken care of by his wife, the goddess of death
ranboo would be joined by micheal not much later
NOW FOR QSMP
qsmp is set long after the gods have learned to be kind (thanks to the efforts of ranboo and micheal) now the family is off doing their own things and trying to atone for their pasts. their old domains will always be a part of them and they still have power over them, but they don't abuse that power
wilbur and phil just so happened to end up on the same train to quesadilla island together. little did they know the descendants of people they once knew (and tormented) would also be on the island, along with foolish and slime who are the same people from the smp
they both end up finding foolish and slime and apologizing for what happened in he past. slime doesn't really care cause the gods never messed with him much, if anything he was one of they few people they were kind to, and foolish had no problems since what they did never really effected him 💀
of course neither of them reveal what they are to any of the other residents (that don't already know) and just go on with their lives on the island, well wilbur goes off island for a while so he can go off and spread his music and phil stays behind giving small blessings to the islanders
when the kids come it becomes increasingly clear why phil was drawn to this place, he is the God of family after all. and to his surprise all of the kids have been blessed by various gods given to the residents to be raised as new champions, and of course the one phil ends up with just so happens to be blessed by one of phils own sons, techno
when wilbur comes back he can feel the presence of the young champions, but there is a stronger presence that he couldn't explain, at least not until he meets tallulah
because unlike the other egg children, tallulah isn't blessed by a god, and she wasn't born from the dragon like the others (I WILL BE MAKING A SEPARATE POST ABOUT THIS BECAUSE I DO NOT WANT IT GETTING LOST IN THE MASSIVE SUMMARY POST)
while the other eggs are simply blessed by gods, tallulah is one, and she's not just any god, she's a god born from music itself, from wilbur
he's not sure about being her father at first, he's too scared his lingering madness will infect and ruin her, but when he helps her paint her first sunrise he knows he will never be able to let her go
when he has to leave again he promises to send her the prettiest birdsongs every morning so she knows he will always be there for her. phil promises to protect her with his life while wilbur is away
the nightmare that happens isn't actually a nightmare, it really happened, and it's the first time phil uses his influence over death in centuries. he refuses to let his kids die like that, but if something like this were to happen again he wouldn't be able to bring them back. not without the other islanders finding him out
and everything goes back to normal, or as normal as things could be, until Bobby's death. and there's nothing phil can do, his domain may be death but even he has rule he must follow and he's already broken them once, he cannot do it again. the most he can do is bring Bobby's soul to the living world and allow his parents one final goodbye
and no one does find out, at least not for a while, when the Brazilians came a few of them seemed to know something was up but couldn't quite place what it was.
when tallulah gots attacked by the code phil got carried away and death slipped from his grasp causing tallulahs death
he can't help but feel guilty for not being able to do more for the grieving parents of the island
when the codes disguse themselves as Phil's kids he is pissed, and he can't help it when death surrounds him. if he uses an excessive amount of power while fighting them, the only one to notice is etoiles who had only seen philza use this kind of power once before
finding tubbo had been a surprise, and phil hadn't expected the warm hug he got. not after he left 300 years ago, after the loss of his family. but as it turns out he missed phil greatly and was excited to see him again
introducing him to tallulah and chayanne was easy, and they took to him quickly. phil was quick to make him their godparent (pun intended)
one day after putting the kids to bed with him, phil could tell there was something on tubbos mind. he didn't have a chance to ask what was wrong before tubbo spoke, saying he hadn't put a child to bed like this since... he couldn't even finish his sentence. sometimes he would see micheal in the egg children and it was just too much for him
and once again things seem to be going back to normal until the eggs are taken away. phil knows they aren't dead, he would have known if the were, but still their absence drives him mad. he has half the mind to think wilbur is behind his madness but he knows his son would never
the birdhouse is much like the prison tommy was once put in, and with the stress of losing the eggs, phil starts seeing things. and he really starts to wonder if some of wilburs old madness was re-emerging
tubbo is a mess with them gone, he doesn't want to lose another family
wilbur comes back to the island as soon as he stops seeing tallulahs paintings in the sky, and when he finds out she's missing... that madness he's been running from sneaks back up on him. he leaves before it can infect anyone else, and when phil finds him later he doesn't mention it
when he finds the recording of his song with tallulahs turtles, all of the madness disappears. perhaps it's his music that will reach her
.
.
.
and that's all the notable lore bits up till purgatory (I am begging someone to send an ask about purgatory cause I have many thoughts)
^this is a lie, there is so much I left out, like the entire backstory of why they were cruel in the first place, or how any of the dsmp backstories play into this, and also Kristin's whole role in this, and I completely left out ALL of the Hermitcraft and life series stuff that has to do with grian
I just put the bare minimum and this is still monstrously long 😭😭😭😭
genuinely anyone who makes it to the bottom of this post good job, it took me days to write because it was all off memory 💀
anyways please send me more asks about it because writing it all down has made me brainrot over this au again

For a while now i've wanted to make a post promo-ing my fics consolidated in one place + to help me be proud of my oldest fics even though i've come very far! They are in chronological order, so here you go!
None of my fics are RPF, all are DSMP/OSMP/or AU's inspired from DSMP/OSMP characters.
I apologize for the bad summaries...they're better on ao3 :)!
1: Dream SMP Reconciliation series [To the East, He's my little brother your honor]
This series is set post ctommy revival. it is a canon divergent fic where tommy moves thousands of blocks to the east post revival and cjack (to the east) and ctechno (hes my little brother your honor) go out to visit with him and healing/reconciliation is to be had. These are my first two fics i've ever written for the fandom, there is definitely some things i dont take as canon/like to write about now (like cSBI as family).
2: Some Blood just isnt meant to be spilt
canon divergent fic in which c!clingy are gods, cTommy the blood god, and ctubbo the god of death. Follows canon from pre-doomsday all the way until the final disc in which c!clingy plan to fight off cdream once and for all.
3: Guess we really are brothers
I dont really write fics like this anymore but this is a csbi as family and canon divergent fic in which c!tommy manifests into a piglin hybrid! Cbedrock reconciliation fic :) + some cbench moments.
4: the letters we forget to send
Canon divergent c!allium fic. c!tommy moves into the mansion with c!beeduo and cranboo runs into some of c!tommy's old letters through the ages. The fic centers ctommy's letters and his processing of trauma post revival, from cranboo's POV.
5: Antarctic SBI God AU [the gods of the arctic, lets make our little misfit family, i was nothing before i met you]
DSMP inspired SBI god au. The first fic is from cdream's POV as he navigates a feud between the SMP Kingdom and the Antarctic Empire that results in him learning more about the SBI family and their godlihood. The second fic is a prequel in how SBI became found family. Third fic is a prequel before fic two in how ranboo met tommy and tubbo which led up to tommy's hibernation before the 2nd fic. There is still a WIP planned for this series about this universe's "exile" and how cbedrock had conflict as well as a fic into how ranboo and tubbo formed snowchester.
6: These scars I have remind me
A short canon based fic character study into ctommy through his scars over the years. Some cbench interactions as well.
7: Ranboo's investigation into soulmates (and bringing them together too)
canon divergent/dsmp soulmate au. Cranboo doesnt have a soulmate and he begins investigating them resulting in some cbedrock reconciliation.
8: Purple Hyacinths and dark pink carnations
Probably my favorite fic that i've written. A canon divergent ctommy god au, in which c!Tommy is the exiled god of the Overworld who accidentally gains a few new followers. This is a fic about healing.
9: little chickadee
sbi as family hybrid au. c!tommy is a chickadee.
10: and for you i grow thorns
a short canon divergent c!crime hanahaki fic pre-ho16 but post the stream when tommy found out wilbur invited ranboo to make the van. No major character death and this is a ccrime reconciliation fic.
11: Wilbur Soot and His Familiars [Wilbur Soot's Guide to being adopted by familiars, wilbur soot's guide to creating a family]
DSMP inspired SBI witch/familiar AU. Wilbur is a human, or so he thinks, until he accidentally welcomes three familiars into his home upon which he realizes he's a powerful witch. Part two is a 10 chapter fic about Wilbur coming to learn more about his powers and save tubbo and ranboo and thus tommy from Dream and the SMP coven. There is a planned prequel to how wilbur finds his way to live in the forest.
12: My Sunrise
c!crime reconciliation canon divergent fic in which c!wilbur finds out c!tommy is an android. I've thought about making this a longfic but im not sure.
13: To Adopt a flock
SBI + tubbo and ranboo hybrid/family AU.
14: She said goodbye to me in the winter time
SBI God au in which they are seasonal gods. Phil is the God of Spring and loses someone dear to him and blames it on the God of Winter and grows resentful of his godly counterparts. This is my longest fic about c!wilbur healing, learning to set roots, learning to forgive and be forgiven, and also at the whole, reconciling with c!tommy and learning about how he wound up here in origins. It is going to be finished very soon just 2 more chapters :)! There are plans for a shorter prequel between the end of the DSMP until c!tommy sees wilbur and co. on origins.
Enjoy :D!

Are you watching lore? If so could you try to recap it? I’m so worried for my boy.
I am!! I'll recap the past three streams as briefly as possible, and tell you whether or not dream is a large part of it. this is longer than I'd hoped for so it's under a read more
stream 1 - tommy wants to talk to tubbo. tommy leads tubbo to a bunker he created under his house. he revealed that he has formed a sort of addiction to invisibility potions because they ensure his safety. he explains that he lives in constant fear, and dream is the reason. he says that while invisible one time, he saw dream enter the prison, so he figured that it was dream's home he wants to kill dream, and tubbo is on board with the plan. tubbo goes to eryn for supplies, and tommy goes to wilbur's revival spot and begins to speak to the sort of grave site. he explains that he's afraid that he's bringing tubbo into the wrong thing, and that he's scared but also excited to fight dream. he says that he knows that wilbur is proud of him. then phil approaches and they talk about wilbur briefly. tommy says that he loves wilbur, he literally says "I love him." (so awesome great moment). phil learns of tommy's plans and gives tommy armor. the stream ends in high spirits. dream is not in this stream at all.
stream 2 - tommy and tubbo enter the prison. it looks very overgrown and doesn't seem to be in commission anymore. they sneak through and eventually find dream, and the fight begins. they fight for a bit, and they notice how dream is much weaker than he used to be. at one point in the fight, tommy freaks out and enderpearls into the main prison cell, and tubbo follows. tommy accidently blocks them in, and they believe that the fight is over. however, tubbo finds a bunch of harming potions from the little chute in the back corner of the cell. he splits them with tommy, and they throw a bunch of them at dream, making him very, very weak. this allows tubbo to kill dream, taking his final life. clingyduo celebrate and leave the prison with plans to create a new country, called l'moonberg. they tell badboyhalo and sam about their win, and the two are excited to hear the news. they tell punz as well, and punz says that he has something that will be good for their new country. they follow punz into this weird, underground bunker. clingyduo catch wind that something is off, and punz reveals that he's not the only one with a revive book. clingyduo run away, but punz and the newly revived dream catch up to them. dream is in this one, but he barely speaks at all.
stream 3 - clingyduo, dream and punz are in the prison. dream demands that they drop all their items and empty their enderchests. they comply. tommy even gives away the book that wilbur gave to him before leaving. the only thing tommy keeps are the discs, because he knows that dream believes that they were burned by wilbur ages ago. the pair are lead to this platform surrounded by lava hanging from the ceiling. dream and punz are not in this room, but in a different one, where they're still visible. dream and punz explain that they have been experimenting with death, and that they want to live forever. through their research, (which was killing lazar and vikkstar repeatedly) they learned that limbo is determined by how you die. they feel entitled to this information, as if death HAS to be explored. they explain that because the world is so imperfect, they must kill everyone and potentially revive them, just to start over again. basically, they're causing the apocalypse. they want to see what limbo would be like for someone who dies via self sacrifice, so that's why they've trapped clingyduo. they made a contraption where if a pressure plate is pushed, an opening would be revealed and would set only one of them free; one must die for the other to live. dream and punz leave to get grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch (not kidding) and clingyduo are left alone. tommy reveals that he has the real discs to tubbo, and tommy tries to throw both of them on the pressure plate. tommy doesn't do this well and it's a blooper, but both tommy and tubbo are able to make it out of the prison, but both of the discs were destroyed. tommy is obviously very upset by this. tubbo takes tommy to snowchester and shows him the nuke that "went missing" all those months ago. tubbo suggests that they use it to kill dream and punz. tommy realizes that they have to be killed at the exact same time so one of them doesn't revive the other. tommy says that he will distract dream and punz and get them in the same place so tubbo can set off the nuke to kill them. tubbo is put off by this plan because it would kill tommy (literally eviscerate him) but tommy insists that it's the only way dream and punz can die at the same time. with some pushing, tubbo realizes that it's the only solution. the pair leave snowchester, and tommy is in very low spirits. he makes note of his last walk on the prime path, his last time passing the hotel, etc. tubbo tries to lift tommy's spirits, but isn't successful. they decide to visit l'manberg one last time, and they watch the flag wave. tommy asks tubbo to build the l'manberg flat up above the rubble for him, and tubbo agrees. they sit on the bench one last time, but in silence, because the discs are officially gone. they watch the sunset together one last time, and that's the end of the stream. dream plays a big part in this one.
hope this helps anon!!!

TW: Mentions of character death, vomiting
There was a time in exile where he thought about giving up the discs. He thought that if he handed them over to Dream—if he gave them up like he gave up all his armor every day—then he would be welcomed back to L’Manberg, then he could go home, then Tubbo could forgive him, and they could be happy again like were before Wilbur—before Wilbur died.
Now he knows it wouldn’t have mattered anyway. Dream would’ve just killed Tubbo sooner.
He croaks out a single word, the sound dying right as it escapes his throat. “Why?”
“I told you it wasn’t your time to die yet, Tommy.” Memories flit through his mind: lava bubbling and spitting flares far below; a tight clamp on his shoulder pulling him back under control; the stern, displeased voice that holds enough ice to chill his blood and bones. “I’m not letting our game end so easily.”
“It’s never been a game. Not to me. Not when it’s cost me and my friends, my brothers, our lives.”
“Your lives,” Dream muses. Dread curls in Tommy’s gut. “Are you sure it cost you those?”
“Of course it fucking did,” he says. “You killed me twice! You took—”
He stops, a breath catching in his throat. He can’t say it. You took Tubbo.
Saying it would make it real. Saying it would do nothing to fix it. Saying it would hurt.
He’s so tired of being hurt. He’s tired of people being hurt for him.
“I took them.” Dream takes slow, steady steps around the cell, moving away from the wall of lava. “But what if I could give them back?”
A strangled noise rises in Tommy’s throat. “What?”
He steps back, putting more and more distance between him and Dream.
Dream nods. “Did you ever wonder why I fought for Manberg? Did you ever think about what I got from JSchlatt?”
He extends his arms out, makes it a show for an unwilling audience of one.
“I have the key to resurrection, Tommy,” he says. “I can bring back anyone, even if they’ve lost all their lives. I can bring back Wilbur—”
“Tubbo,” Tommy croaks. “You can bring back Tubbo.”
Of course he’s the first to come to mind. How could he live another day without Tubbo? What is he except a vessel for his friends—a conduit for them to direct and command? What can he do with nothing else to live for?
“I can.” Dream tilts his head to the side. “But there are some conditions for that.”
“What are they?”
“You can’t leave,” he says. “If you make this choice, you’ll have to listen to me, no matter what I say—”
“I’ll take it.”
Because at the end of the day, the conditions don’t matter. Dream could make—and has made—his life a living hell, and he would do it if it meant Tubbo was alive. He would do anything.
Tubbo died because of Dream’s sick fucking obsession with him; he won’t let him rot because he wants to live.
Dream tilts his head to the side, and a cold sweat washes over Tommy’s skin. He knows the fucker is staring at him, probably smiling at him the way he used to in exile, but it doesn’t matter. Dream found everything he could use against him and twisted it, throwing him into a living nightmare. Even if he had chosen the discs over Tubbo, Tubbo would’ve died. Even though he chose Tubbo over the discs, Tubbo still died.
There’s nothing Tommy can do. As long as Tubbo’s dead—as long as Dream has the means to bring him back—he’s trapped. He’s walking into the snare of his own will, even when he knows the rope will snap around his neck and crush his throat. He doesn’t have a choice.
“Then we have a deal,” Dream says.
He slides something off from around his neck, then tosses it into the cell.
“I’ll be back to visit you soon,” Dream says. “In the meantime, keep an eye on that for me. You’ll know when I kept my promise.”
Somewhere in the prison, Sam does something to summon Dream back. (He must’ve—Dream can’t teleport. He can’t.) Tommy stares at where he stood for a long time, fighting the nausea swirling in his gut, before he finally peels his eyes away and finds the thing Dream threw at his feet.
As soon as he sees the scratched, yet intact glass and the faded blue ink, he hurls into the basin, gagging on what little is left in his stomach. He hangs over the bowl, waiting until his shaking settles down, then peels away and clutches the compass to his chest, brushing his thumb over the etching he memorized (and lost) months ago.
Your Tubbo.

C!Tommy’s ending isn’t what you think it was: An Essay
So, what do I mean by that? Well people who believe that c!Tommy forgave Dream or that it proved Dream’s are just, well, wrong. That’s not what happened.
I want to start with some meta about Tommy’s story. I think we all know by now that Tommy was greatly inspired by other pieces of media, specifically marvel and especially Spider-Man. Tommy’s finale is very reminiscent of a classic principle of heroes. The no kill rule. All of your classic heroes follow this rule, Batman, Superman, Captain America- Spider-Man. The idea of defeating your enemy and showing empathy and mercy is a very popular heroic trait in modern media. C!Tommy and C!Tubbo spent the last three streams reiterating this point over and over, they don’t want to hurt anyone, they don’t want to kill Dream but they believe there’s no other choice because Dream can’t be reasoned with. Or can he?
That is what the real question of the finale was, could Dream be reasoned with. Was he just human or the devil. Throughout the series Dream is dehumanized, for an understandable reason mind you, but dehumanized nonetheless. He’s called a devil, a monster, a villain. C!Quackity pretty much outright confirms this in his finale, with the propaganda slideshow, showing Dream as we hear the words “how to think like a human.” Implying that Dream is simply acting human, and not truly human. The point is, that c!Tommy viewed Dream as inhuman, even if he hadn’t fully realized that. So of course he believes Dream couldn’t be reasoned with, he’s the literal devil! Dream doesn’t not help his case by dehumanizing himself, calling himself a god, and evil. He does this to create fear, because to him, fear is power.
That brings us to the final culmination of the confrontation, Tommy is in limbo watching Dream just enjoying being with his friends. Being happy to just live his life day to day. Embracing all the mystery life has to offer. Tommy saw that Dream was human. When Tommy returns he is armed with this newfound realization and we see Tommy’s character arc come to a close as shows empathy, becoming a real hero in the process. C!Tommy did not forgive c!Dream. Or even excused his actions. He appealed to his humanity, he found that one remaining part of him that just wanted to have friends again. Who was terrified of being alone, just like Tommy.
C!Tommy and C!Dream have always been the archetypical Arch-Nemesis. Down to the we’re not so different you and I conversation. Dream was always doomed to fall by his own fear, he pushed away everyone to gain power so he could hold everyone together. His obsession with Tommy stemmed from his fear of loneliness, Tommy had people who loved him and he loved in return. Tommy was never alone unlike Dream who had no one. He hated Tommy. He wanted to be Tommy. He wanted to make Tommy feel just as alone as he did, which was why exile happened; but, Dream didn’t want to be alone and this obsession morphed into a sick form of kinship. Dream couldn’t lose Tommy because Tommy was all he had. The one person that wouldn’t leave him, who couldn’t leave him. No matter how far Tommy ran, in the end he’d always go back to Dream, because they were fated to always fight. Dream needed the discs so that Tommy would always have a reason to hate him, would always have a reason to come back to him. This, is c!Dream’s motivations. He is sickenly, pathetically human. Not a god or a devil. Just a person.
Tommy said he understood why Dream did what he did, cause he did. Tommy had lashed out because of loneliness before as well. That doesn’t mean he forgave Dream though. He was giving Dream a chance to be better. A chance to start again. He did this because Tommy is a hero, and like all the paragons of comic books spanning from DC to Marvel, he gave Dream a second chance. No forgiveness. No excusing his actions. Just the chance to be better. To be good. To be human.

Wilbur believing that the last thing Dream could hold over Tommy was the discs kept bothering me during the stream. I think it makes sense that Wilbur thinks this yet he's objectively wrong. While the discs are something Dream could use to keep power over Tommy, he can also use Tommy's other attachments and his plain obsession with Tommy.
Tommy is attached to his discs, though he is attached to the people he cares for, such as Wilbur and Tubbo, moreso. Wilbur having Dream burn the decoy discs takes away one attachment, but Tommy has always chose people above those discs. These people are still alive and Dream can always get to them.
Dream is also just plain obsessed with Tommy. I don't have the exact quote, but I know he's said Tommy is too fun to not mess with. To Dream, Tommy is just a plaything, and he's the best plaything on the server to be exact. As long as Dream is alive he can find away to hurt Tommy because of this, even when Tommy is dead.
I think the only time we've properly seen Dream without most of this power is at the end of the Disc Confrontation when Tommy was killing him with the Axe of Peace. Tommy and Tubbo have secured the discs in an enderchest, there was a multitude of people there to witness what was happening and protect them, and Dream has been stripped of all weapons, armour, and other items. Tommy has put himself above a plaything for Dream because he can protect all of his attachments and he can now fight and *win* against Dream. Though we see that Dream still holds some power because he has the revive book. He still holds one attachment above Tommy, and that attachment is Wilbur. Dream continues to secure some sort of power because in the prison, he still has the revive book, Wilbur is still dead, and Tommy has nothing to fight against Dream but his bare fists while he's in there.
Wilbur is so caught up in this inherently selfish mission of rescuing Tommy from Dream that he can't see that he really hasn't. Tommy can't truely be safe from Dream unless Dream is dead. But Wilbur doesn't see that and he only holds himself and the discs above Dream. He threatens to kill himself to keep some power above Dream and has Dream burn the decoy discs to trick him into believing he's lost that power. This works in the moment because no matter how strategic Dream is, he's still human and he's blinded by emotion here. Dream decides it is better to lose a bit of ego and say L'manberg was a sovereign nation than it is to lose the power he holds above and through Wilbur, but then he must choose between holding power through Wilbur or the discs and he ultimately chooses to keep Wilbur alive. Wilbur thinks that Dream can only use the discs against Tommy and Wilbur against, well, Wilbur, but he fails to see that he can still be used against Tommy. In the moment Dream can't because Wilbur is threatening to kill himself, but I don't doubt that Dream will manage to find away around that later in time, with a clear part of the solution being the revive book.
To put this all simply, Wilbur has created a temporary solution. In the moment he has taken Dream down a peg by having him destroy "the discs", but he has failed to completely eliminate the problem because Dream still has supplies, armour, and weapons to fight. He can still reach the people Tommy cares about, and he he still has the revive book. Dream is still alive and therefore can still get to Tommy. Wilbur did this to "save" Tommy, but he really hasn't solved anything and hasn't properly made Tommy feel better.
I apologize if this makes no sense because as I wrote this I kept having to pause to write down other thoughts before I forgot. And I think this is the first proper analysis I’m posting so 👍

my little sister's rewatching s3 despite Also watching it yesterday and its just. so funny to me. like first off bc the fight against nine is paced like a rpg boss battle (which. nine also talks like an rpg villain so that tracks. he just keeps spawning minions and saying things like "you fools. bring me sonic")
also nine is just so. rotating him. id put him in the microwave but i do not think that would end well for anyone. BUT HES LIKE. "well i tried caring and it just got me hurt." and hes just so so scared of being hurt again, so he cuts everyone off and hurts the people he wants to care about him. bc he cant let anyone get close. robots are the only ones he can depend on, they won't turn on him because they can't. and he HAS to believe that sonic betrayed him, that sonic wanted to hurt him and never really saw him as a real person or cared about him, because if he does then he has to confront that He is the one lashing out. etc etc etc. i am one of those goopy eyed white grandma dogs and nine is the squeaky toy i am furiously shaking around and disemboweling.
ok so yes all of this.
nine just keeps doing such edgy boy anime villain in the background of a tvshow cover poses during this season.
nine is like. so cool to me. squeezing him like a stress ball. patting he on the head and giving him a nintendo switch and a hot chocolate. blasting a character analysis of him through my headphones at an irresponsible volume.
i have so many thoughts about him. like. so many.
most of them [many of them, not all] are like.
"hey nine is like [insert other character here] but [insert adjective here]" sort of. and like comparisons or situations and such.
for some reason after i realized "hey nine is like elsa but boy and technology" my brain immediately went: ctubbo dream smp
and i couldn't figure out why.
and then my brain went:
"hey nine is like ctubbo if he never had someone to lead him around places and just entered his 'ive been traumatized must build incredible technologies to defend self' phase wayyyy early."
so yeah i'm insane about him. because ive somehow made ctubbo connections to tails and nine now. [tails prime also he is like disc era-l'manburg ctubbo in my brain]
because like. he's a kid!!!!! that's a child!!!!! bro is like 8 years old!!!!!
he should be having beef with jessica over the swingset seat at recess!!!!! and instead he's getting horribly traumatized and left alone to deal with any injuries or fears on his own, feeling there's nobody else in the world like him and not seeing sunlight for years on end.
oh gee i just had more ctubbo nine thoughts dang it.
[tommy valueing the discs over tubbo even in the split second of an arguement and not meaning it really / sonic taking about the original people and green hill like he was this whole show despite the huge care he has for everyone in the shatterspaces]
IM NORMAL I PROMISE.
