Hear me out. I don't give a fuck that Sebastian cut his hair.

Now I don't mean that in a bad way, so don't throw yourself at me.

All these people are complaining that he cut his hair.

A) Are you Sebastian? Should it really be any of your business what he chooses to do with his life in the first place? No, but this is what fame does to a person! If Sebastian wasn't famous & didn't have a whole bunch of people chasing after him, would you give a shit if he cut his hair?!

B) It was for a movie, a Romanian movie, no less! I think it'll be great!

C) Sebastian has spoken out about body dysmorphia before!! If you don't know what BDD is, be my guest and look it up. (and people wonder why many celebrities don't use social media!)

D) Am I the only one who find people sexualizing Sebastian disgusting? Maybe it's for his looks, but like, Sebastian is a real person who has a life. If you have nothing better to do than judge his decision to cut his hair, you clearly don't have enough of a life to be a decent being. I don't care if you don't like it, keep it to yourself. Think of Tumblr as a library of thoughts. Not everybody wants to hear your every word. Let the haters be haters offline. If you don't have someone nice to say, don't say it. And this isn't just about Sebastian. Tumblr in general has issues with being able to respect others and avoid ordeals.

E) It's fucking hair. If you're so worried about it, remember that hair grows back, & people can do what they want with their bodies without requiring criticism, thank you.

So you know how the Wilhelm Scream is in a ton of films as a soundtrack in-joke? It was popularized by Ben Burtt, who was a sound editor on a ton of ton of Lucas films, like all the Star Wars and Indiana Jones films.

Well, he cameos in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. That's him there. His only screen time is getting knocked over a rail, and he does an imitation of the Wilhelm scream as he does it.

i'm not super impressed with this nintendo switch 2 direct.

yea, okay, it looks like the hardware has been beefed up quite a bit, fingers crossed their games actually run smoothly on this console bc it's been rough for a few games on the original switch over it's life time.

however, i think it's really dumb they added a 'mouse' mode to joy-cons. how many people are sitting at a desk or a surface playing a console, not to mention a LOT of people who have basically turned the switch into a 'cozy game' console are playing handheld so now there's just games and features that aren't available to many people bc they wanted to be cute and make a feature no one asked for or needed? how about address whether or not the JOY-CON DRIFT is fixed after it's been a lifelong issue for the original switch? how about make better motion controls so i can finally play taiko no tatsujin with motion controls and pretend i'm banging a drum and it ACTUALLY work and be responsive to my movements. i'm wary about the magnetic joy-con connection, too. a mouse mode was unnecessary. this would've been something useful back in the wii days when u could actually access the internet via the wii.

my other major gripe with this new console.. i'm astonished they made the decision to add live voice chat AND camera capabilities to their console that probably has the most youngest audience members than any other console. this is a danger to children. there's already small, minor children live chatting on fortnite with strangers who have absolutely no filter or mindset to NOT share all their personal details online. not to mention all the grown, crybaby men who whined and cried about desperately wanting live chat capabilities through the switch.. so they could SCREAM at children on pokemon unite for playing badly. this is a bad and dangerous decision bc now predators know they can access a lot more children much more easily this way. and let's face it, parental controls don't work unless a parent actually cares about monitoring their child's activities and set them up, which i doubt a LOT of parents are doing these days considering they hand their kids iphones out the womb with full, unsupervised access to everything on it. if adults wanted live chats and video chats, they already knew how to access that, most likely via discord, phone calls or facetime. again, another useless feature that could've been scrapped for better performance from the system or focus on improved joy-cons etc.

the last thing that kinda just made me lose interest in watching the rest of the direct and skip through whatever games they were talking about (might watch back in a bit to see how many they were announcing cos i just got bored) was all the games that have already existed for years. enter the gungeon? i've had that for at least 5 years now if not more. i was hoping for more NEW title announcements cos this has been a major gripe of mine since the original switch came out and something that made me take SO LONG to even BUY a switch cos i was like.. there's hardly any new original nintendo titles being advertised for this system. i already have all these ported games they keep showing off as 'brand new' games for the console. not to mention, in showing these ported games, i'm assuming they're trying to encourage people to buy them from the e-shop bc most do not have physical switch copies OR they're rarer to find, which again, they could've spoken about how they're improving the e-shop experience bc as of right now, everyone is tired of shopping it due to all the shovelware/ai slop or the NSFW hentai games that overrun the shop. which AGAIN, should also be their responsibility to protect children from coming across and no, parental controls do NOT stop kids from seeing the thumbnails of these games at the very least.

i'm also annoyed they're saying the new switch will require a SPECIAL sd card to expand storage space as i just in the last year caved a bought a big, big sd card so i wouldn't have to worry about running out of space for sometime but now if i want expanded storage on the new console i need to buy THEIR special card instead of swapping my currently owned card to a new console? (didn't apple get sued for this kinda of 'exclusive' accessories thing forcing consumers to purchase their specific thing to use their devices and that's why they have to make USB-C chargers now?)

i.. am also kind raising my eyebrow at the disabled/wheelchair basketball game that requires two mouse mode joy-cons to play bc i'm just thinking 'oh, that's cool that someone's made an inclusive sport game' but how accessible is this for actual disabled people to play? what if someone doesn't have access to a properly fitting desk to play this? what if a lap desk isn't comfortable for a wheelchair-bound person to play this with? maybe i'm looking too much into it but it feels weird to make a game with exclusive weird controls about disabled people just to show off a new feature u added unnecessarily to play a game. i would hope at the very least.. they add like accessibility features and make it possible to play comfortably with a controller (the thumbsticks or bumpers could be used to roll the wheels instead) cos if not, it feels kinda ick to use disabled people that way, imo. (i'm not physically disabled myself but i know/have seen a lot of mobility aid users talk about how difficult it is to get access to things either in public or have homes that properly cater to their mobility needs so i can imagine some people don't have access to proper furniture to suit their needs as is)

(mario kart looked kinda cool, it better be a major improvement over the current one and SILKSONG 2025?!)

Imagine trans Steve Rogers

(Saw someone talking about how they headcanon him as trans on TikTok and honestly I fw it)

He grew up knowing something was different about him but he never could put a finger on it. He’d wear boys clothes and cut his hair short, but he had a thing with that Barnes boy so no one was really all that “worried” about him being “one of those queers.”

World War II roles around and he’s binding his chest, trying to make himself appear as a man so he could serve, but he kept getting rejected time after time after he was forced to take his shirt off. Bucky’s pissed obviously because why would you try to fight? You could just be a nurse. There are rules in place for a reason. Then he’s spotted by Erkinsine, and obviously he loves to see the determination Steve has, so he recruits him for his program. The original plan was for him to present as a woman to be a big fuck you to Hitler, but of course Erkinsine died and Sentator Brant took over and we can’t have a female Captain America, so Steve was forced to present as male.

But he secretly loved it. He loves being seen as a man and actually being respected as one too. He can finally look in the mirror and be proud of what he sees. Bucky obviously is ticked off. He has no idea about Steve’s secret feelings about it. He’s mad Steve has to pretend that he’s someone he’s not, but Bucky just doesn’t get it at this point. Of course they argue about it; Steve tells him it’s for the greater good, but Bucky just won’t hear it. He thinks it’s bullshit. Of course he keeps Steve’s secret but he’s secretly seething.

Eventually Steve crashes the plane and wakes up in the modern era and continues to live his life as a man. Of course he doesn’t have to anymore. No one’s forcing him. But he wants to. And then one day he stumbles across something about the lgbt community and he’s a curious guy so he looks into it. And holy shit. This “transgender” thing describes exactly how he feels. Not only is it more acceptable, but there’s also medical treatments he can go through to help alleviate his dysphoria. Plus he can actually afford them too?

He starts HRT as soon as he can and he actually cries. His doctor knew his assigned gender at birth, yet still respected him and gendered him correctly. He’d never experienced something like that before and it felt so good.

Eventually Bucky comes back and is face to face with the same Steve but he’s… different. He’s now sporting a five o’clock shadow, a deeper voice, and no longer binds his chest because there’s nothing to bind anymore. It’s weird at first but Bucky learns to accept it, and he checks out a lot of books at his local library. He’d never thought of himself as queer but he found himself still madly in love with Steve. If Steve was happy, he was happy.

After all he’d still love Steve even if he was a worm 😌

I'm so tired of this idea that trans/non-binary people are killing their past-selves by transitioning. I'm especially fed up with the term "deadname". You're implying that by figuring out a significant part of my identity, and by transitioning from my agab to my current gender identity, I murdered my past-self? I didn't kill anyone. I did not kill a version of myself that I no longer resonate with. Nor did these past versions of myself never exist. The little girl who lived in blissful ignorance, the confused teenager who was just starting learning about life and themself, they're not dead. I didn't kill them. They're just in the past, alive and well, happily enjoying a gaming session on Animal Jam or some shit.

When you're "deadnaming" me, you're not using the name of a person who once was, a person whom I supposedly killed by transitioning. You're just using a name that never belong to me, that I never resonated with even when I was a small kid who had never heard of non-binarity nor transidentity and who thought they were forever stuck with a name they didn't like. When you use my deadname, you're not referring to me, but to the false, preestablished idea you have of me, because you think I'm a cis woman. I was never cisgender nor a girl, even though that's what I believed for the longest fucking time because I'd always been told I was one.

I was never my deadname, so the name I was given cannot possibly belong to someone who's dead. The person who used to identify with this name (even though they never liked it and used it purely for lack of a better option) was real, in the past. No one died in the process of me finding my chosen name, or just me realizing I was genderqueer when I was 15. So saying that name belongs to a dead person is stupid. I was never that name, I was never that person, I just went with the lie because I didn't know any better.

It's like. A mythname, I guess. Cuz the idea of the person people associate with it is just that, an idea, a concept, a myth. It's fictional, and it's also a lie in some ways.

A study just came out from Harvard about how gender affirming surgeries are more commonly performed on "cisgender men/boys" than transgender and gender diverse (TGD) people.

But these men/boys have gynecomastia which, if they were born with it (and the study doesn't specify), they're not just "cisgender".

They're intersex.

How many times now have intersex people told us perisex (non-intersex) people to stop using the statistics of their surgeries just as trans talking points, while erasing intersex people on the whole?

We have no idea how many of those surgeries were forced, or coerced, onto these intersex people. Either from doctors, parents, or even societal pressure.

Perisex trans people need to do better. We have to be better allies to intersex people than this. It disgusts me just how much we have failed our own community, time and time again.

The study actually specifically excluded intersex people.

"Importantly, all surgical procedures among patients with indications of differences in sex development or patients with other medical indications for surgery (eg, cancer, injury) were excluded..."

I'm happy to see this particular study has taken care to exclude intersex people, since surgeries done on them cannot be compared to transgender surgeries, but please bear in mind that this is still just one study.

The horrible truth is that medical abuse against our intersex siblings is still heavily normalized within the medical industry. From using terms like DSD, to forcing kids and even BABIES into sexual binaries with non or dubiously consensual surgeries or HRT, these horrors that intersex people have to go through are all too normal for them. That's unacceptable.

it really frustrates me how being nonbinary is still seen as a such a gendered thing. like nonbinary is something that exists outside of the gender binary, male & female, and yet it is still so incredibly gendered and i hate it. 

like it’s either your a “girl nonbinary” or a “boy nonbinary”. and i’m not talking about the nonbinary person choosing whether they would like to present themselves more femininely or more masculinely, but rather other individuals choosing to actively ignore the fact that they are nonbinary simply because the present more feminine/masculine and continuing to push binary gender onto them, despite KNOWING that they don’t fit into those societal boxes. 

i don’t know maybe i’m just pissed off at people ignoring the fact that i’m nonbinary, simply because i present very feminine. i want to present more androgynous, but not every nonbinary person does. and androgyny should not be expected of nonbinary people. but like i’ll tell people that i’m nonbinary and use they/them pronouns and such, and they’ll just be like “cool anyways so, SHE is blah blah blah”. and it’s just like thanks dude, really shows how much you care about me and our relationship by you blatantly ignoring this aspect of my identity. really makes me feel loved, thanks. continuing to use specific gendered terms to describe me, after i have clearly stated to you that i do not use those and do not enjoy it, pisses me off. 

and i feel like being nonbinary isn’t really seen as a “real” thing. like oh yeah you’re nonbinary, but i’m going to choose to continue to think/speak about you in a binary gendered way because fuck you. like you told me you’re nonbinary, but you LOOK like a girl and you do girl things so i’m just gonna call you that because that’s easier than respecting you and making you feel like a person. i feel like often times people don’t believe me when i say that im nonbinary simply because i look so feminine. to their standards, i look like a girl so they’re gonna treat me like one and hold me to the ridiculous standards that they hold women to simply because, well i look like a girl, don’t i?

i fear that no matter how androgynous i look people still choose to ignore that. they’ll still find some way to shove my body into a box that doesn’t fit. hack off my limbs until i’m small and paletable enough for them. cram words down my throat that make me feel sick and inhuman. 

gender is a performance and right now i’m crying backstage in a costume that doesn’t fit.

Ok but can we talk about the tension in this scene??

Bucky already knew how Peggy and Steve felt about each other after getting back from Azzano, with the way they were looking at eachother with puppy dog eyes. But Steve was his friend? Why would he try to “swoop in and steal Peggy?” Bucky could get pretty much any girl he wanted. Why did he need to go and try to get with the one girl that Steve wanted?

He’d already set Steve up on dates before the war, but this is the first time a girl has actually shown interest in Steve. And Bucky doesn’t fucking like it.

He tried so fucking hard to peal her away from him, but every time she ignored him he seemed to get angrier and angrier. It was never about Peggy.

Look at how he’s looking at Steve. Steve is looking at Peggy with those hungry eyes and Bucky is so fucking jealous because he wants Steve to look at him like that.

But he’s looking at Peggy, and it’s not fucking fair. That was supposed to be him.

So he says he feels invisible. Because for the first time in his life Steve’s center of attention is on some other girl, not on him. And it feels like shit and he’s scared as hell.

and then after this scene Bucky gave him the most mouth watering toe curling back shots known to man. that’ll fuckin teach you how to dance, Rogers.
