Bedrock Bros exile fics!

Techno is hibernating! Months of this as Tommy takes care of his sleeping brother, it's very fluffy yet exile talk is present so watch out for the hurt/comfort. I really like this fic <3 8/10

If you hate Dream and love when he gets what he deserves this truly is the fic for you. He gets his shit wrecked x10

There's SBI healing and a smidge of clingy duo, mostly bedrock bros centric ofc but Phil and Wilbur are there :] 8/10

Fuck you canonical bedrock bros betrayal, Tommy deserves to be happy with his favorite people ty very much, over all more Tommy-centric but it gives me joy 7/10

I'd recommend to check the TWs in the end notes before reading however it's a solid fic, am rec-ing 6/10

Okay so this fic hasn't been updated in months and only has 2 chapters but I wish it had more. This author's writing is so addictive?

Like its in third person but is told as though its from Tommys POV.

It does have Bad Dad Phil as well as Dead Mom Kristen and such so be warned, even if it's not much so far.

What chapters that have been posted aren't to dialog heavy.

There's a playlist!! I like it so yeah.

Something I noticed in the second chapter is that Tommy refers to Phil as Phil, but Kristen is always referred to as his mother or his Mother showing her importance to him. Techno is there just kinda, not? Idk he's focused on his studies is all. Meanwhile Wilbur up and left at 18 and cut contact so yeah.

Pretty sure it's a modern magic au, Tommy is a shapeshifter, Phil is an avian and Techno and Wilbur are tagged to be piglin hybrids.

Even if there isn't much I love that way its written so I highly recommend checking it out.

The author of that also has a small one shot that's Tommy focused of an apocolypsed world and that ones angst heavy without a happy ending but is really nice so check that out as well

In the heat of this conflict, every other paying customer had disappeared, likely visiting a safer part of the city for a far inferior cup of coffee. Somehow six customers begin to support his entire business, three are the wealthiest men in the city and three are the officers charged with taking them down.

I am in need of long (don’t actually know what qualifies as long, 10k+ words?), complete (or not) dsmp (mainly sbi) or Life Series fanfic recommendations. I have read so many and I am trying to find more to soothe the brain itch.

Dream SMP (SBI)

tommyinnit’s clinic for supervillains by bonesandthebees (bonesandcacti) — [26/26 chapters, 189k words] aka “clinic”. A superhero au from Tommy’s pov where he’s just chillin with his healing powers and then he heals a villain and then gets sucked into it. He also gets attached to this Wilbur guy that visits the coffee shop he works at.

the world forgetting by the world forgot by bonesandthebees (bonesandcacti) — [21/21, 165k words] A superhero au from Tommy’s pov where he is the hero Dream’s sidekick and has terrible amnesia, forgetting the entirety of what happened the year before. The Syndicate, a band of villains, is looking for something that was stolen from them.

Hush Now (You Were Lost But Now You’re Found) by CorpseArt — [Incomplete, 56/?, 301k] A superhero AU where Tommy was Dream's sidekick and made it his entire person, and then Dream kicks him out of the Hero Corp. Tommy needs to figure out what the fuck is going on, bc there's no way Dream would just do that, even if he did protect the villain Siren. Their one rule is to not kill. Also he meets this funky man named Wilbur at a coffee shop and they become besties. (Pogtopia my absolute beloved.)

say you’re open by remrose — [9/9, 43k] A magic AU from Wilbur’s pov where he finds this kid unconscious on the floor if his shop after attending his mother’s funeral, obviously bearing the marks of intense chaos magic. He takes care of the kid. He also gets sold a mysterious object. The twinsduo here makes my heart sing. Also Phil is kind of like “you are mildly breaking the law” and Neapolitan trio just shrug.

Technoblade’s Entirely Average Babysitting Gig by opheliabloo — [3/3, 34k] A Techno pov fic where he is in college and needs money. A really shady family is offering like 20k for babysitting for 3 hours or something absurd like that, and him being a money-hungry college student, he ventures to this house in the middle of nowhere to take care of gremlin children that try to kill him.

His Curse of Binding by bari_astralis (orphan_account) — [30/30, 144k words] A foster au from Tommy’s pov where he is reincarnated into different Greek hero stories and he needs to figure out who this time’s story is before his sixteenth birthday. Featuring: Complicated SBI bonding, (minor) Clementine being a girlboss, bench trio being absolutely precious, allium duo making fun of each other but alsok being so damn precious, Linda Smith and Miss Allingham bashing (you’ll understand when you read it, I hate their guts), and generally trying to find your peace in life.

Breathing’s Just a Rhythm by MollyPollyKinz — [53/53, 186k] A time travel canon-divergent fic where Tommy, Schlatt, Dream, Tubbo, and The Voices travel from Exile era back to Pogtopia-Manburg era, and they've gotta fix the shitty world and avoid Dream at all fucking costs. Relationship building happens, and the Voices are the best character to ever exist in all literature.

the from ice to water series by Drhair76, plantform — [12 works, 157k words] The main fic is icing those hurts, but my personal favorite is hailing on you. An ice skating au fic centered around found family and belonging in a place without harm. In the main fic, Tommy gets healed, but in hailing on you, Wilbur gets healed and it's so sweet <3

holding onto nothing by remrose -- [20/20, 71k] A mainly Techno pov fic, twinsduo centric. adhd and autistic techno, and his mom is a bitch. He goes to the Crafts for help and it's terribly sweet but also pretty angsty. At times this fic has literally been my lifeblood, like my support system in keeping me alive. I love it so much.

My Faithless Hoax by phantom_star739 -- [24/24, 105k] A supernatural? (fae, vampire, siren) crimeboys centric fic with mild political aspects. I don't really know how to describe it, but it's amazing.

i use tumblr for a lot of shit, like a lot. something i recently opened the app for was fic recs. which, okay. i’ve read a LOT of dsmp fan fiction. if it’s tommyinnit-centric there’s a 70% chance i’ve read it. if it’s bad-parent phil watson there’s 95% chance i’ve read it.

now, one thing most of these fic recs have in common is them leaving out vital information about the fics AND they’re not mentioning my favorites so i’m upset.

Super funny (see: the ranboo sigmund freud post), really touching, and I absolutely ADORE the worldbuilding on this one

Human Parts by teasdays (1 fic, 4 chapters, complete) - Ranboo centric fic where Ranboo lives on a post-apocalyptic earth, where he is the last human until cclingy crashes on the planet. really sweet, kinda sad, nice ending :] not much space exploration but its talked about enough so it counts

I can give you some fic recs of mine and if anyone else wants to rb with their own fics (self advertise pls!) or any fic recs they have go ahead! I recommend on ao3 just playing around with excluding and including tags and or sorting by kudos too! I usually sort by recent on the tommyinnit tag and just exclude stuff i dont like then see what there is each day!

But below here are some canon divergent recs though i generally read a lot of au's nor have i read a lot of fics recently, so sorry i dont have too many (and i dont want to self advertise my fics...haha)

1: vibrations by celestialwarden -> canon divergent fic where ctommy runs from exile off to another server kinda. There's heavy stuff in this and its a long fic!

2: valley of serenity by Interjection -> canon divergent csbi as family fic. very long, healing centric! Basically csbi leave the dream smp kinda fic on the 16th.

3: death takes us all so why wont it take me ? by nb_stories -> ctommy post revival comes back immortal. cphil and ctommy centric overall!

Opinion: I couldn’t describe the joyride this is. The action scenes are descriptive and frequent, we get a little bit of vigilante action, and Tommy isn’t completely oblivious! Definitely a BAMF type fic. This fic is a great storyteller and I highly recommend you read it if ur good with the tw’s in there. Definitely a major angst fic tho

thoughts - seriously awesome writing, very engaging. it almost felt like i was in tommy’s head with him a few times, it was wild. an amazing fic, i am not exaggerating. there’s a reason this fic is all over rec lists. fair warning, you’ll end up angry on tommy’s behalf a lot throughout this fic. and if you don’t like really intense, high-stakes suspense or cliffhangers, i’d recommend not reading until the author’s finished writing the fic. there’s some karlnap on the side with this one and, let me tell you, it’s so adorable!! really well written and karl and sap are so cute together.
