Brain Eating Amobe and The Promised Neverland's Demons Reference

(repost bc i can't explain what i'm saying and have a bunch of writing mistake)

I found a reference about Naegleria fows (Brain eating Amoeba) and Demons in our beloved promised Neverland world

First of all i explain Demon's functions and then connected them to brain eating Amobe.

Demons can evolve with horizantal gene transfer. Demon's eat creature's brain ans evolve with brains. Also this Eating necessary for their lives but  human brain isn't necessary for them. Even human brain isn't necessary for their life demons want to think and reach humans brains. Norman says, in beginning Demons have bacteria-like appareance then shift with transformation

Naegleria Fows similarties with demons ( Brain Eating Amobe) These Amobea not an real Amobe and have a  bacteria-like appearance . Neagleri Fows actually a shape-shifting amoeboflagellate

In the start they have bacteria-like appearance (Demons have it too)

Norman says

Amoeboflagellate means a one-celler creature who have characteristics found in both plants and animals.

It have functions which found plants and animals

Amoeboflagellate have a group which is names by prosist and in this group multiceller creatures doesn't have cells differentiated into tissues. This means if a tissue can heal by cells other tissue can heal with its own cells too(in the creatures who regenerate with mitosis all cells can do mitosis if this creature is one seller). For example human's retina cells can't heal but if we have same cells in all of our body parts -well this isn't working for human's lives- but retina tissue can heal. Because other tissues can heal

Naegleria Fows can do shape shift and have a life-cycle which build about shape-shift. Amoebas and this Amoeboflagellate doesn't have a specific shape

Naegleria Fows can kill a human by brain effected . They live in waters, make sudden and fatal brain damage.

There was a place named Goldy Pond where child die before they can't understand what happened

In the end, want to hear a real theory ?Ray read about Brain eating Amoeba as a child and decided Demons eating brains. In Grace Field Ray talk to Norman about it but they both don't know Demons "need" eating brains or Demons evolve. In Lambda, Norman remember all Ray said and explore Demon's ecolvs

This just came to my mind from the first time i learn naegleria Fows. Hope this logical in its own because i think i even can't call this a theory

ray isn't completely useless post escape - no one else could've been a better second in command to Emma. Norman would justify heropinions too often. Ray calls her out when needed.

Speaking of that, Ray should've had a traitor scene pt. 2 w Norman

Gilda was also wasted potential and I feel like she's one of the best characters in a way?? Or could've been. she's rational like ray but motherly and frantic at times and I'd love to see a spinoff or something about don and Gilda.

One of the fan favorite GP kids should have died to make fans actually care about the losses in the raid, and as much as I hate to say it, Chris should've died in Emma's arms. Or even Gilda's, Ray or Dons

This one is gonna have some ppl after me but! Norman is overrated and was SO boring in the first arc like the second episode was so boring until They started arguing about how many kids to rescue all he did was Yap </3 and there are so many characters like him 😭 his genocidal persona was so much better and interested me.

Ray should've figured out the truth to the seven walls instead of Emma. Please give him the limelight. I also think it would be cool if ray and Emma alternated turns with the amulet and argued over who makes the promise. (This one sounds weird, I know -- but imagine, Ray is sick and tired of watching his best friends throw themselves away the moment he's able to protect them again. What if he genuinely tried to get Emma to at least share the reward with him or do half the promise)

The lambda team should've rebelled against Norman, they switched up so unrealistically. They had valid reasons to hate the demons to the extent they did.

Also, the lambda team doesn't deserve the hate many ppl give them

Leuvis was probably not actually "good." at the end, he wanted to hunt the kids naturally with no farms.

Rayanna, Donemma, and Oliemma make no sense and Oliemma is illegal

This one is controversial too, but I think Ray or Gilda should've been a bit darker skinned, and Emma should have freckles

If Susan was the same age as the trio she would be a really cool lead

love love love the way clothing in tpn is used as a symbol of oppression with the plain pure-white gendered dress code at the farms but also as a symbol of rebellion and liberation post-escape with the bunker uniforms that, while still plain on their own are no longer subject to a rigid dress code and can be modified by the kids however they please, such as gillian altering the longer skirts into short pleated ones to suit hers and other girls' styles and covering hers and the younger kids' shirts in patches and even smaller things that set kids apart like don's short sleeves and nat keeping his shirt tucked in etc etc.

clothing as a rebellion against gender roles where the girls are always shown wearing skirts at gracefield even in the middle of winter, and how they're all dressed exactly the same as the boys during the escape. many of the girls choosing to wear skirts with the bunker uniforms but wearing pants in situations where its more practical or comfortable to do so. emma, the protagonist, never wearing a skirt after the escape. paula, violet, and barbara never being seen in a skirt at all. violet's entire character being a rejection of gender roles.

colored clothing as a form of rebellion in only seeing monocrome button-up uniforms when the kids are on the run and then getting to goldy pond, the first arc where they fight back against the demons head-on, and everyone is wearing unique, brightly colored outfits. how ray specifically is one of the people who have suffered the farm’s oppression the longest due to knowing the farm’s secret from the beginning, and how post timeskip he’s always seen with a blue scarf that sets his outfit apart from all the other black and white uniforms. seeing bright unique clothing again with the lambda squad while they go around blowing up farms and liberating kids.

clothing as a symbol of personal growth with norman wearing a suit during his minerva meltdown because he has taken on the responsibility of protecting and saving every cattle child despite the fact that he himself is only a child, and how afterward he is shown matching with emma, ray, don, and gilda again. main story ray wearing bright white because thats all he was able to wear vs post-canon ray who is always shown wearing black/dark colors because those are the colors that HE likes. i love clothes in tpn

182 Days of TPN - Day 99

Chapter 99: “Cuvitidala”

I dunno why Ray’s eyes aren’t colored black as usual in this volume but damn, he looks pretty like this too! And I can’t forget that big smile of his either, aww!

Mhhhmm yeah, it would make sense if Smee was the supporter since he’s so busy while at Lambda and therefore can’t really act out on his own with the many scientists and demons working there.

GF kids? Smart as hell. 28 year old man? Completely dumbfounded.

Even the GV kids are impressed. And I love how those from GF are all so interested to learn about new things, especially if it’ll help out their family’s goals. Isabella raised ‘em right.

Emma definitely has a point that it would be smarter for Yuugo to stay behind and look after everyone living in the shelter. Not only to help protect them in case of any enemies show up, but to also assist with the daily shelter stuff like hunting and teaching them new skills. It’s also so sweet how the duo gives praise to Don & Gilda. It means so much to them they burst into tears!

They’re so thankful they’ll get to help out in the field alongside RE and I’m so happy this grants them some more focus. As safe and carefree as the shelter is, I wouldn’t wanna wait around day after day either.

With Paula up and moving again (huzzah!), we get this quick panel of the GP trio one last time before Zack heads out on the journey as well. I bet she and Oliver miss him when he’s away.

No one can be a perfect father figure right away like you, Lucas. It’s fun to witness Yuugo embrace his bunker dad side though, ain’t it? And our boy Rossi following Lucas’ suggestion and learning morse code just in case the supporters call back is so cute.

Again, I love how confused and lost everyone from GV is when the GF kids are busy figuring stuff out.

This chapter is reminding me of the many reasons why I’ve come to love Yuugo. Even though he’s still concerned about the group that’s heading out to Cuvitidala, he decides to offer up a fair suggestion to them rather than dismiss Emma’s plan outright since he believes in her so much. Of course ya gotta love Gillian teasing him as usual too.

I think Norman considered going to the human world and thoroughly studied the problems there, or at least wanted to keep it as a backup plan. So when he called Emma out and doubted their acceptance in human world, it wasn't a blind fear, he knew how dealing with the humans can be more difficult than killing the demons. But I think he didn't expect to receive help from the Ratris, he doubted his own survival and, of course, he wasn't updated due to the lack of recent books.

I think saying "Norman was wrong for choosing demon genocide" undermines the weight of this decision. It's not like he was doing it because he wanted to play villain. It was simply the only choice he was left with.

Overall, I widely agree. I joke on genocidal Norman a lot, but I do deeply believe Norman wouldn't have gone for the eradication of demons if he thought there was another way- or better, if he allowed himself to believe there was another way. I think a lot of people tend to forget the factor that Norman thought he had a very little time left to live (less than a year), and was willing to do anything during the time he has left to make sure his family was going to be safe; according to the 5th chapter of the fanbook:

Shirai notes that Norman had a short lifespan and couldn't build the world Emma desired without killing the demons. Norman wanted to ensure a safe world for Emma and everyone. Shirai thinks Norman might've chosen a slightly different method if he wasn't running out of time.

At the end of the day, I truly believe Norman is a genuinely good person at heart; the narrative displays pretty neatly how the act of causing the death of demons was killing him inside, and I do think he would have gone for another way if only he believed he had alternatives. You see, I think a lot of criticism towards Norman in the paradise hideout / royal capital arcs is for his will to kill demons, but maybe that's not totally fair: in the end, he never wanted to do it- he just thought he had no choice.

And I mean, that's the part I think people should focus on? That's Norman's real flaw: closing himself into believing there's no other choice. It's such a big piece of Norman's character!! “I've exactly calculated all the alternatives, and there's no other way”. It's exactly what got him shipped in the first arc, and Shirai made it a point to make the reader understand Norman hasn't changed since then.

Norman's approach is *so* different from Emma's, maybe it's one of the things that tells them apart the most. Where Norman thinks there's no other possible way, Emma builds a new way. Which leads us to Norman's other - and probably biggest - flaw: his inability to ask for help. His whole eradication plan was conceived that way because Norman never thought anyone, besides from him and his fellow Lambda death-sentenced, could have a part in it; let alone his most precious friends Emma and Ray. He wouldn't take Emma and Ray's help into finding an alternative solution to eradication. He wouldn't admit he was in chronic pain and on death row, because he was never willing to cry for help. One of the few firm points through tpn development was having Norman asking for help, because that's such big part of his character!!

And I'm so happy he got to!! I'm so happy he got to grow and learn he doesn't have to carry it all alone, and I think we shouldn't forget about that :)

Yo so I watched TPN S2 EP4.

To summarize real quick : I am hyped.

Listen, I wasn’t worried too much about Bunker Dad’s absence, just surprised. And now that it’s clear we are going on something new, Cloverworks has all my attention. It’s a great way to keep the story trending and keep people hype in my opinion, so I won’t judge that choice. And for now, the new premise they are going with got me ON EDGE. 

Basically, with how this is going, and with informations from the fanbook, I guess they are going for the prototype of the after escape plan, where the children joins a group of rebel before meeting Norman. WITH BONUS BADASS ISABELLA WOOHOO. I have been fantasizing badass military Isabella since the lambda arc and I assure you they got me when they implied it in the anime.

The episode was fun and good overall, though I feel like since they spent less time in the bunker, the assault felt less impactful than in the manga. But we got to see Ray firing arrows like a badass so I’ll accept it. The part with the children testing food was hilarious, and the fact we see more of the kids makes me happy to a no-ending point.

But here lies my first problem, and I expected it since EP1 because of the merch and stuff : the ambiant sexism. 

One of the amazing thing with TPN is that we can’t feel any sexism anywhere. Like... You could change the gender of any character and it wouldn’t change anything in the main plot, seriously, nothing at all, that’s how good it is. I don’t often talk about it, but Emma is a very feminist protagonist, and written almost like one, though I feel like it’s more accidental than anything which is even better. But the anime... *sigh*

The first part was pretty discreet since they adapted from the manga but...

First Ray standing before Emma, then only the boys going out to hunt while the girls took care of plants, the fact they kept their old uniforms, Don’s “you’re a boy so don’t cry”, Ray being the one to fire arrows...

It’s subtle, but because there’s none of that in the manga, it stands out even more. And I didn’t think it would bug me as much as it does, but here it is. Honestly the potential new plot has me hyped, but THIS, THIS is really going to determine what happens during the rest of the anime. And I swear I will throw hands if it changes Emma and Norman’s relationship because of that because I’m already tired of the sexism in this fandom so if they add it in the anime... Who knows what will happen. 

I’ll look forward to what they do with what they came up with, but I just hope this won’t affect the plot.

182 Days of TPN - Day 96

Chapter 96: “Welcome Home”

Due to seeing all the other poachers lying dead on the ground, I don’t think it clicked in my mind the first time reading this chapter that Leuvis wasn’t actually there, but it made a whole lot of sense as to why his body was indeed missing once ch171 was released. The hint that he was still alive was plainly obvious here yet my dumb self still managed to get caught off guard witnessing him return during the final arcs.

Bunker dad deserves so much praise for racing all the way back home to the shelter in just one day. Literally ran non-stop, keeping away from all wild demons chasing him with Emma on his back.

And what an eventful six days it’s been for them.. from the dangerous trip to GP, to Emma getting snatched by poachers, which resulted in Ray going feral as he and Yuugo eventually follow her into the hunting ground where she’s been saving children’s lives left and right until she’s recruited by the GP resistance to partake in a master plan to destroy the place, then eventually taken even further underground where she and Lucas learn more about WM/GP/Lambda/Seven Walls/etc, before preparing for the big battle that actually happens way sooner than originally intended where she and everyone else fight for their damn lives, killing some poachers and scoring some major injuries in the process til Ray and Yuugo finally arrive as much needed backup, though our girl eventually gets stabbed yet continues to fight til Leuvis is defeated, only then does she proceed to totally collapse, but Emma and everyone else still receive enough medical attention to escape GP before it blows up. All that happens in just six days. Was it necessary to give a short version on the last couple arcs? No, but am I still salty over how the second season thought it was a good idea to leave all that out? 100%. Anyways, it’s nice to see all the escapees again. I missed them.

As intimidating and applause worthy as this moment is for Gilda, it’s not exactly the smartest thing since you can’t really blow up the shelter when you and your whole family is still inside, ya know? I do love how it takes Yuugo a brief moment to register what’s happening and how much trouble he could’ve easily been in. He’s been through a very hectic last couple days, I can’t blame him for not remembering her threat right away.

Thankfully any confusion and worry are momentarily pushed aside as they all come together to help save Emma’s life. Again, I dunno exactly how Ray knows such information regarding his family, but if anyone is gonna be a reliable and knowledgeable cheat code, then it’s gonna be him. And I love that for him, just as much as Don and Dominic stepping up with no hesitation. They’re all such good boys. Farewell to the GP outfit as well. It shall be greatly missed.

Kudos to this random lad for suggesting a guard swap because my poor boy has clearly not been getting any sleep with how worried he is over Emma’s condition. Three weeks is a hella long time to be away from someone who’s always been at your side throughout your entire life. Add in the uncertainty of whether she’s be okay or not makes it so much more stressful.

I don’t remember many double spread pages off the top of my head, but this one has gotta be one of my favorites! From the absolutely precious RE moment, to everyone’s tears of joy, their big smiles and the joy and relief they feel in seeing Emma wake up after a good month. Everything here is beyond wholesome!! It also shows us some of the resistance members like Oliver, Zack, Pepe and Sonya who finally managed to recover. Can’t forget about the tiny detail of Emma’s name on the pillow either.

The way she doesn’t question anything about herself or what happened upon first waking up, instead being solely concerned about everyone else’s safety more than anything else.

A long-awaited apology even though he’s so shy admitting it. Lucas probably finds Yuugo’s softer side entertaining to watch the way he’s glancing over too.

I don’t care how long it’s been, I’m still gonna use two u��s for his name. It’s also adorable how the younger kids drew many pictures for Emma while she was asleep to help make her feel better.

Poor girl is completely dumbfounded she’s been asleep for so long. Then we got Ray proving once again why he’s best boy. Now, Sandy’s injuries I can understand, since he lost an eye and got thrashed around by Nous quite a bit, but was Paula really injured that badly to the point where she can’t move? Sure, a spear was thrown at her with great force, but didn’t it just hit her shoulder? And there was a tiny panel of her last chapter where she was getting helped up to move as everyone was preparing to leave GP, but ah whatever. It just surprises me that Emma manages to get herself walking around shortly after waking up despite the brutal injury she received. Still cute that the younger kids drew pictures of Sandy and Paula as well.

Favorite panel/moment:

When Ray realizes how many children Emma helped during her short time at GP, not only because the defeated the poachers and escaped, but from the hunt the day before the battle as well. They all wish she has a swift recovery so they can thank her properly once they arrive home and it’s so sweet how much they all care for her already.

And look at that smile of his! Aaahhh!! He is so damn proud of Emma for everything she’s accomplished.

I'm so glad you're liking tpn!! This season has been pretty rushed and I think they ended it too soon so I hope you'll still read the manga, but your positivity has been so refreshing

Oh yeah there’s no doubt it was rushed LOL especially considering they crammed the entire Lambda arc into like. A two minute flashback. But overall the season has been fun to watch!

I do want to read the manga after this for sure! I’m glad I’ve been able to put a positive spin on this haha
