Monthly reminder to my T folks (and those in menopause) out there to make sure you’re not dealing with dry pussy for no reason. It’s painful and uncomfortable and can lead to an assortment of issues like UTI and tearing.
there’s a tangible difference in comfort and libido when I’ve taken my estrogen cream. Dry pussy is not a normal state of things and can be treated

honestly i see a lot of people using the fact that Dani is a female clone of Danny as 100% proof that Danny is trans. but she was the only one out of at least five clones that was female, and she was stated to be a weaker and more inaccurate clone, a single chromosome change could be possible. WHAT I THINK IS MORE SOLID PROOF is all the episodes where the clothing changes, in both the beach and the ancient Egypt episode Danny always has a top on. all the other males in both episodes aren’t wearing tops, just swim trunks in the beach episode and the skirt things in the Egypt episode. But Danny is wearing a tank top in the beach episode and his hazmat suit in the ancient Egypt episode.
even in an episode where we do see Danny shirtless (Eye for an Eye), right before we do Tucker makes a comment about how much Danny cares about his privacy and never lets anyone else see him shirtless

Happy Pride Month
here's a look at my current queer bookshelf🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
It's super small atm but it's slowly growing, most of them are either transition related or wlw related. Here's a list of all the books and their Goodreads links from top to bottom.
Gideon The Ninth - Tamsyn Muir. Lesbian necromancers explore a haunted gothic palace in space. I am kind of obsessed. I currently only have an e-book version but I liked it so much I'm looking to continue the series as physical books (I'm holding out hope for the books as a birthday present). Also butch rep. I am rabid for butch rep.
One Last Stop - Casey McQuinston. On my TBR pile. A romance that starts on a NYC subway but the love interest is trapped in the past.
The Girls are Never Gone - Sarah Glenn Marsh. On my TBR pile. Girl runs a paranormal investigation podcast and starts investigating a mysterious death from 30 years ago. The most recent book I bought that I'm looking forward to reading when I finish Children of Time.
The Lost Girls - Sonia Hartl. Holly gets revenge on her vampire ex by killing him and stealing his new girlfriend. I read this last year and I don't normally enjoy vampires but this book took me by surprise, lots of funny jokes about immortality and some empathetic discussions about emotional neglect and grooming that did make me cry a little.
Growing Older as a Trans and/or Nonbinary Person - Jennie Kermode. On My TBR pile. Insight and advice on being trans later in life in the UK. Reviewers have mentioned that it's mostly specific to the transfeminine experience but I still thought this book might be nice to look at.
Spectrums - Maxfield Sparrow. A collection of personal anecdotes from autistic trans people. Some bits are poetry some are more essay based, it was very heart-warming and affirming.
It Came From The Closet - Joe Vallese. On my TBR pile. A collection of essays on queer representation in the horror genre.

There are a couple tropes I really love in the space of Miraculous Ladybug fan works, but quite possibly my favorite is when the miraculous holders just get creature from using their powers.
Like yeah, I would say that hosting the power of an abstract concept given sentience, that got shoved into the shape of an animal and bound to a piece of jewelry, would kinda mess with your body a bit.
The little bit of this we get in canon is basically that Adrien loves being a cat and the whole Tikki munches incident.
But I love it when people give them ears and wings and tails, give them eyes that aren't quite human anymore. Fuck with their gender and their sense of body. Sometimes it's body horror, sometimes it's just aesthetic. Love it either way.
I just think it's so fun, a lot of the time it's combined with the like "when a holder and the kawami really respect and bond with each other there's nothing that can be done except having magic bleed into the holder" I think that's fun, but also just making the animal of the kwami a bigger deal is fun. Like if you're going to make it a ladybug you might as well give her wings and antenna and mirrored eyes.

sometimes i sit and think about how much queer identities have been demonised and vilified in media and our constant historical framing as somehow evil or monstrous or Other . and i know that plays into the popularity of horror and halloween and such among the community . but i also wonder whether that shapes our fascination with things like vampires and swords and fictional characters covered in blood . and that maybe you so often see ppl say that characters are hotter when they're splattered and dripping with blood because we're subconsciously connecting that visual of blood with our own identities, and the idea that when a character is covered in it they're more connected to us and being brought into our world . that all efforts to hurt us have turned back around to adoration and we're taking the efforts to make us Wrong and Evil and Dangerous and thinking "wow . this is mine now . this has been forced on me but i've taken it and held it to my chest and absorbed it" . blood becomes this symbol of the narrative they've tried to push on us and now we see the beauty in it because as long as it's there, as long as it's ours, we can still see ourselves and choose to love it for its endurance
or characters covered in blood are just sexy idk

I am incredibly lucky to have an 85 year old grandma who is a retired Methodist minister and writes all her letters to me with the prefix "mx" which she didn't know before I let her know "ms" wasn't right for me, in a very long but warm and accepting period of me teaching her the right language to use for me. she still slips up, but she deadnames me less and less, and misgenders me less and then catches herself and apologises. so many trans people don't have this and I count my blessings every day.

no but i LOVE 'undercover' queer horror. stuff you grow up with as weird cult classics that are widely regarded as goofy and campy and a little bit terrible but they're no less iconic and then you grow up and learn that the creators are queer and see the story through that lens and understand the specific nexus of trauma and rage and loss and loneliness and otherness and joy and power and passion and love and defiance and radical self-acceptance that feeds every character and monster and shapes everything from their choices to their forms. LOVE that shit.
