I just had a check in appointment with the surgeon to make sure everything looks good. No signs of infection, swelling is minimal, drains are good in color, no clotting. He re wrapped my chest in the bandage, it's a bit tighter than before. So it's a tad bit uncomfortable for now. But things are going well. My chest reveal is Thursday at 4:30. I will be recording it so pop in for that. Should I go live? Or record and post? Thanks for all the support. Today was my 50th shot of testosterone 💉. It's been quite a trek already, but I wouldn't want to change a thing. There's a lot of things you cannot prepare yourself for as you start this journey; socially and mentally. Body positivity post/T update!

I’ve been on T for just about 6 months now and I’ve been seeing so many changes; most of which I am completely ecstatic about! One of the main ones is body hair, but I have seen fat redistribution and loss, as my metabolism has spiked. I’ve also put on a considerable amount of muscle mass, which has in turn boosted my self confidence and has helped with my body dysphoria. My jawline has become more defined and I’m starting to see a small amount of facial hair coming in. My voice has dropped a couple octaves, which is very bittersweet for me. I love that my voice is lower, but miss my vocal range terribly. I hope to work back up as time goes on after my voice levels out, but for now I am content with the squeaks.

As far as the emotional level, I’ve noticed that I tend to internalize a lot more than I used to. Because of this, I’ve become a bit easier to agitate, but I get over it faster. I feel a bit more aggressive, but only when I’m feeling as though I’m being challenged or belittled. My depressive episodes don’t seem to last nearly as long as they used to and are so much less severe than they were prior to starting hormones. My anxiety seems to fluctuate from situation to situation, but has overall significantly decreased. I can also accredit this and the lessened depression to the fact that I got out of a highly toxic 4 and a half year relationship very shortly before I started t, as well as becoming attuned to Reiki shortly before the split. Without my energywork, I don’t know how I’d be able to get my feelings under control.

All in all, t has changed so much for the better over the short amount of time I have been on it. It has taken so many years of self doubt, extreme depression and dysphoria, tears, and inner turmoil to get me to this point, but I have come out of it feeling the happiest I have ever felt in my life.

It does get better, my brothers and sisters. You’ve just got to reach for it. You hold all of the faith, confidence and inner strength you need to reach your ideal self within you. Sometimes you’ve just gotta pull it out from deep beneath your fears and self doubt.

I may post a couple of voice comparison videos in a bit if I can find them, so if you’d like to see them, pester me into looking for them!

Transition Update: 01/09/16

I can feel my breasts growing already only three and a half weeks in! They’re already very sore and my body hair is growing in thinner. Also injections are a million times easier than they started out ^-^

My sternum area is in a lot of pain. Swelling is slowly, very slowly, going down. But I couldn't be happier and more comfortable in my body. It's so surreal having this chest be mine. If someone would have told me a year ago that I would be where I am now. 10 Month Update

Today is day 307 on T! I’m going into the 5th month of the 5mg dosage. Here's the update:

-Voice: Getting deeper and deeper, it's cracking a lot. I definitely think this is one of the changes that is picking up now. My vocal range feels pretty small right now, can't hit very many high notes and don't quite have comfortable access to the low notes.

-Acne: kind of intense right now. Mostly on my face. I haven't been doing a very good job of washing my face regularly :/

-Libido: a bit mellower than last update

-Body Hair: This has kind of mellowed out. Maybe only a bit more growth on my chest...

-Work out gains: I haven’t been working out at all.

-Body Shape: I don’t think I’ve noticed any change here in the past month.

-Face shape: I also don’t think I’ve noticed any chage here in the past month.

-Facial hair: This is another one of the changes that is picking up. I had to shave my moustache this week after about 10 weeks of growth, because I went home to see my mom. It's been 5 days since I've shaved and the stubble is probably 1/4 an inch long. The rest of my facial hair grows in patches. Some areas have no hair and some areas have 5-10 dark hairs that grow VERY quickly. I shave them about once per week.

-Appetite: don’t think I’ve noticed any change here since the last update.

-Menstruation/nether ish update: I had a period this month. It was on time for a 29 day cycle. I’m really hoping it was the last one, as usual. I've kind of taken up the mentality of not buying tampons in preparation as a way of communicating to my body that it should stop menstruating. It's not getting the message yet. Fingers crossed for this month. Nether ish is large (maybe 1.5 inches... and maybe(?) still growing.

-Chest: I realized I haven't been posting about this. Since starting T I have noticed that my chest appears to be flattening. This has been a gradual change. I am not at a point where I don't still desire top surgery, but it has helped a bit with dysphoria, at least while I am wearing a shirt.

Well, that’s everything for now! Looking forward to being done with finals in about 2 weeks! I'll try to be better about posting (I've been kind of MIA this month), but no promises :/. Hope everyone is doing well

On May 8th 2018
