Feeling some type of way about Leo deciding Jason is the one who needs saving when Jason’s been the one saving people all his life.
The thing is, once they realize what the prophecy means, Jason decides if it’s him or Leo, it has to be him. He outright states this in his narration twice:
As much as Jason loved his life, he couldn’t let his friend die for his sake. He could never live with the guilt. ~ House of Hades
He knew the risks. But he wanted to take those risks himself, not put them on Leo. ~ Blood of Olympus
And the thing is, Leo knows this. Jason never tells him, but Leo still knows it. He doesn’t tell Jason and Piper his plan because he knows they’d never allow it. Because he knows Jason, stubborn hero leader that he was raised to be, would never let it be him.
Leo knows Jason would die for him and he will not allow it.
Thinking about how one of the first things Leo says when he manages to string words together after learning what happened to Jason in The Burning Maze is “He did what Jason always did. He saved the day.”

i need to stop thinking about when jason and leo realized that the to storm or fire line of the prophecy probably meant one of them was going to die, this was jasons reaction:
"As much as Jason loved his life, he couldn't let his friend die for his sake. He could never live with the guilt."
And then that choice was taken from him, meaning, he was absolutely riddled with guilt. And then he was given another prophecy where it was him or a friend fated to die. and he was not going to let that choice be taken from him again.
At least they let him know Leo was okay right before he died. Even though they didn't get the chance to see each other again, he was able to make the choice and sacrifice himself for a friend with all his guilt lifted.

It’s just…so painful to watch Armand readily submit in order to obtain the love he so desperately craves. And while it’s most assuredly a manipulative tactic, it’s still one borne out of fear and desperation. He cannot lose this person he’s come to love and so will become whatever they want, do whatever they want just so they’ll stay with him. But it won’t be enough. No matter how much he acquiesces or seeks to control (himself, others, the environment), he won’t be able to make Louis stay with him in the perfect life, perfect self he built in the hopes of finally being loved. It will all crumble with Armand left alone in the rubble of what he created, the author of his own abandonment.

Doodle || Harry (with a hint of Tomarry 😌💚❤️)
One of these days I'm gonna have to make an actual proper Tomarry piece with both of them *physically* in the same frame fffs.
Also ignore the distorted hand 😭

Wait so if Python ruling over Delphi = Python being able to interfere with the future and the Fates' design, then Apollo being back in control of Delphi = Apollo being able to interfere with the future and the Fates' design??? 😳

You ever stop and think about how every single one of Jason’s most important relationships was doomed?
His and Reyna’s friendship messed up by Aphrodite’s prophecy and then shattered when Juno took his memories. They never got to properly repair it.
His friendship with Leo was prophecized to end in one of their deaths before they even met.
As per Aphrodite cabin tradition, his relationship with Piper was destined to end in a broken heart. And after they break up, like that’s not painful enough, that’s the second friendship in a row fated to end in one of their deaths.
And Thalia, fundamentally shaped by the experience of losing her little brother as a child, is doomed to lose him a second time.
