hey! it's been a while since my last proper life update so it's about time for another! 🌸

Soo I started a new job on sunday and it's going rly rly well! I work at a bagel store, and I used to work at a different location for a few months right before covid and while it was by far the least stressful and least bad job I'd had overall, after working here for three days I realize that at the other store we had been understaffed like 99% of the time and that this job is actually a lot less stressful when there's a reasonable number of people working. so I'm glad that I'm working here now! everyone I've met so far has been very nice and it's just overall a very nice and chill atmosphere, I am genuinely so pleased :)

alsooo i started learning "je te veux" on piano a few days ago and according to the sheet music it's supposed to be played at 176bpm and so far I've learned half the song at 120bpm and honestly it still sounds delightful. 176 seems unnecessarily fast. like maybe I'll get it up to 150 but idrc about getting it that fast rly lol. it's been fun tho! the last song i rly took the time to learn all the way thru was "the very last night" over this summer and that was also fun but je te veux is like an actual song lol and it's very festive and jolly so im having a good time with that!

also I've been doing a lot of reading lately! here's some brief reviews!

- the world cannot give, tara isabella burton; fun read, cool vibes. i read another book by her called "social creature" which i also read in two days and was pretty compelling

- when we were young, richard roper; also a fun quick read! definitely had some laugh out loud moments. it was enjoyable although i think his other book "how not to die" had a more developed story and characters and i liked more in general.

- family of liars, e. lockhart; a pretty good sequel for "we were liars" which i read a year ago or more, but i feel like this had a similar vibe and voice to the first book, and overall the story didn't feel like a forced prequel, but held up just fine on its own.

- currently i'm reading cards on the table by agatha christie, which is the 15th book in the hercule poirot series lol. i started the series earlier this year and altho it's not always very riveting they are pretty quick and fun reads, and it gives me something to read when i don't feel like im the mood for anything else, ya know? also it's kinda interesting to read about domestic life (and death! Lol) in early 20th century england. this book is called cards on the table cause it took place during a game of bridge, and i think if i knew anything about bridge id probably appreciate it a little more though it's been a solid book regardless.

also i read the play "who's afraid of virginia woolf" a couple weeks ago and i finished it cause it was pretty short but it was meh. like. just meh.

anyway! that's my once in a blue moon life update dump lol. would have to say im currently not doing too bad! the rest of the year has been pretty stressful and just miserable but at least the last couple months of 2021 are turning out ok!

Hey all!

First of all, Happy New Year~

For those of you waiting for an update on my main fic, and who manage to find my Tumblr, I just wanted to let you know that I am still working on it!

I know it's been quite a while, and I apologise, as I know it can be quite disappointing when stories don't update for ages.

I've had various things going on, including a combination of writer's block, some family issues, and some health issues (plus my work tends to make me super tired lately because it's just been so busy).

I'm OK though, and I do try to write when I can.

I'm slowly getting over my writer's block and hope to contribute to the VerLady Week later this year, so I hope to update soon.

Not sure how many people will see this, but if you do then thanks for being patient with me and for your continued support. I hope to have an ending to the story for you eventually haha~

Backstory: Born and raised in somewhere in Metro Manila, Philippines, En or more commonly known by the undercover name she had once she had joined Passione as Paella Visconti (often shortened to Ella or Elvis as Mista and Formaggio would call her), she had a relatively normal and quiet life in her hometown where she was raised by her father’s parents inside the walls of the very same home her father and his siblings had grown up on. But En knew she was destined for a life that was just more than normal. A natural born stand user, En was initially unaware of her abilities as a stand user and has been subconsciously using its abilities from the start, En’s stand managed to manifest itself physically at the age of 16, triggered by her intense emotions during her days as a junior high student. Flaws: En, while highly self-aware that she can overthink, has this certain tendency to keep her thoughts to herself and bottling it up due to her upbringing and her fear of being a burden to people. Though while this is mainly solved and is making progress of keeping in touch with people she cares and trusts enough, the habit is still there. She also has the habit of apologizing when there's no need to and also thinking that she's invincible but not to the point of tomfoolery especially when it comes to dangerous or high-risk situations but rather, this manifests as mostly in completely mundane things such as her sleeping and eating habits. She also has this internalized vindictiveness to her that sometimes shows itself from time to time but this is regulated.

She also has this habit of offering sage advice to people but never follows her own advice, thus calling herself as a 'walking contradiction' due to this, she also developed this habit of taking care of others, making sure their needs are well met and forgets about her own, sometimes her 'mother hen' like habits can be smothering but manages to keep it on the low. Despite of her flaws, she is currently working through these issues to the best of her abilities.

History: Heroes is a close-range/long-range natural humanoid stand of En Flores who possesses a range of abilities focused on air/weather related abilities. Though she’s been with the user from the beginning, Heroes makes her first physical appearance to a young En at the age of 16 after the latter had experience a bout of strong emotions, most particularly emotional distress over something that happened during En’s time as a Junior High student (which, funnily enough, happens to be En stressing over her History test) and has been with her ever since.

Personality: Noted by some of En's friends and enemies alike, Heroes, while seemingly looking like as if she has no innate personality due to her stoic disposition, has shown bouts of intense protectiveness over her user, En and by extension, those who En holds dear to her heart, mirroring the user's mother bear habits. While it's not very obvious to some, Heroes seems to sometimes have a separate consciousness from her user and has been noted to have mannerisms similar to that of a curious owl or a playful and mischievous feline at times.

In battle, she remains as composed as she is in general, barely showing any emotion unless En herself feels a strong bout of them, which Heroes would mirror. Another thing that not most people know much about is that Heroes can speak for herself but instead of a normal voice, those who aren't close with En get to hear the sound of every storm, howling winds, and blizzards and a banshee's* *combined but En understands her perfectly. However when a connection is formed, Heroes' voice becomes crystal clear, speaking in a voice that's similar to her user's but much more ethereal, airy and echoey with the hints of the previous sounds and her way of speaking is mentioned to be very polite and smart.

Physical Description: Heroes is a humanoid Stand of a feminine figure, resembling its user in some of its proportions. Often characterized by its free flowing golden locks tipped with silver, blue winged helmet-like mask with the Christian cross in the middle, obscuring its eyes and the upper half of its face, and pale silver skin and the motif that its sporting being a notable mix of a valkyrie, a ballerina, and Elizibethan fashion judging from its collar and overskirt.

The lower part of its face has these distinctive markings of two vertical lines across its eyes and a half circle under its lower lip which are painted gold.

Heroes wears a body suit of gold and blue with two elongated hexagonal shapes at the sides of its hips, a tear drop shape opening right over where its belly button should be, and multiple lines sewn onto it finished by the feathered blue Medici styled collar and overskirt detailed with thin, golden tendrils of pure lightning; it also wears knee-high boots where the kneepads baring some sort of resemblance to the frangipani flower, african violets, strawberry blossoms, and marsh marigolds with the stem pointed out as a blade in the middle of a ribbon spiral finished off with two-tiered pauldrons resting on its shoulders.

Abilities: Heroes is a highly versatile stand possessing the ability to control the weather. Though Heroes’ ability may be near similar to Weather Report’s, it’s not the same. Unlike Weather Report, Heroes can manipulate certain elements such as thunder and lighting and be able to create weapons out from the elements that they can control. One of Heroes’ featured abilities are giving its user the ability to fly and glide in the air, breath healing, controlling the atmosphere and the weather, aerokinetic invisibility, air attacks, and weather weaponry. It can also have control over any form of precipitation and storms and grant the user a banshee-like physiology.

Its range when creating large-scale storms is based on the location where the user is currently situated. The most notable example is that if Heroes and En found themselves in a city such as Venice, Italy, that would mean the entirety of Venice would be affected, and where both the stand and user are will serve as the main landfall zone where the storms are particularly worse than the rest of the location.

Okay so hi! First off the pic came from here and that I just edited it on my computer considering I haven't been able to draw anything as of late :"DD which would also explain why the picture I have for my sona lacks glasses ;u;

As for the timelines, there are at least two known variations of it! The main verse, which I will be calling as strawberries and cigarettes, and a secondary verse called which will be called as fulmine dorato [eng. golden lightning]!

So basically, in the strawberries and cigarettes verse, the events of Golden Wind + Purple Haze Feedback take place in the year 2015 as opposed to 2001. It also means that the events of DIU happened at less than a year before the events of Golden Wind basically making Josuke, En, and Fugo be the same age. Also this is a verse which basically reverses the deaths of Leone, Narancia, Bruno, and La Squadra but they all carry some form of scarring from the nature of their deaths and whatnot. I got inspired by theclockworkkid on ig and this one fic I read way back in 2020 something and it just stuck on me.

For the fulmine dorato verse, its basically the canon version of golden wind/purple haze feedback (no one dies in La Squadra and Bucci Gang bc I am a sucker and I want them to have happy endings HBVFHJASFB) and that En has been around Passione since she was 15 and was originally a part of La Squadra before being put under the custody of Bruno Bucciarati's team due to 'mysterious circumstances as of late' (basically, La Squadra protecting their youngest bc they're about to betray the boss after Sorbet and Gelato's deaths, only to find out that En would go down the same path as they did aka betraying the boss insert spiderman pointing meme here)

Home Sweet Haven - Part 1

/Finally decided to post this story I've written nearly a year ago and made edits to update some parts recently. This story will be split into three parts.

First week

Dullahan was a woman of many secrets and she doesn’t reveal them so easily to anyone. Not even to the man that was once a thorn on her side to becoming an acquaintance. He would soon be a partner in crime when fate would bring them together for missions into something a bit more when it involved motel rooms and diner dates. Regardless of anyone’s relationship with the hitman, no one knows anything about her, from her hobbies to what her favourite colour is. All they have is her personality they could describe about her and what she is to them. 

However, Jack Krauser knew some things people would love to use against her and especially for the fact that he had seen her face during their interactions in their second year. He was given her actual name since Dullahan can be such a mouthful and he rather uses pet names on her as she does with him using ‘Jackie’. Bit by bit he would learn more information about her with his own investigations until he got what he needed.

Her home address.

From afar in his rental, he watched Dullahan, or better known as Trish Odile, leaving her complex for her civilian job as a waitress at a local restaurant and bar via a motorcycle. A Benelli bike. It was a nice model she had there but it was not for him. He focused on what floor she was on from the glass window displaying the elevator, and how to exactly get upstairs as he soon learnt that she uses a keycard and a passcode to enter the building. The only option was the fire escape located inside the compound. It was an easy jump over the fence and he easily avoided the cameras while he managed to pick the lock of the grilled door to enter inside the fire escape and made his way up the top floor Dullahan is located itself.

The glass door was easily unlocked with his knife wedged between the locks and he was inside. Dullahan’s place was an industrial loft with its high ceiling, the tall glass windows, to the open second floor that is basically the whole bedroom itself led up by a spiral staircase. The kitchen was underneath the bedroom floor and the space was big enough to have the kitchen island across the stoves act as a dining table too, allowing more space for the living room. A large couch faced a large screen television mounted on the wall, a nice small rectangular table decorated with only a potted plant that looked to be orchids, to his best guess, and a red plush wingback chair on the left side of the couch and facing towards the glass doors, probably to enjoy the view of the outside at a distance.

Three bookcases lined against each other by a door that led him to a storage room and upon pressing the second switch thinking it was the lights, the wall at the end pulled away revealing a hidden room behind it. He found her weapons hung on the wall along with her equipment, and the sight of a mannequin wearing the infamous blue jacket, the right arm holding the pants, what was left of the left arm was replaced by the familiar black metallic sheen of her robotic arm, and the head wearing the helmet. A training dummy is located across the storage room and it went through quite a lot from the looks of it and from the amount of stitches she must have sewn to repair it looked to be done by a really sharp knife.

Krauser inspected the rest of the area near the glass door he came from and the kitchen and he saw that it was a little art studio. One easel was tucked away and the other one was standing with a canvas left unfinished of a still life of a vase of slowly dying flowers, a few books stacked on top of each other with the spine facing the person, and a half empty amber glass bottle. Against the wall were drawers and tables containing art supplies of paints of various mediums, colour pencils, palettes, palette knives, brushes, sketchbooks, and more he doesn’t have time to inspect. There were also canvases full of paintings leaning against the wall which were still lifes, landscapes, and some were portraits of people he wasn’t familiar with, possibly strangers she had encountered in her passing.

The lower floor was done and he made his way upstairs to the bedroom area. He was greeted with a king size bed, all for one person yet he found it perfect should he need to rest, a bedside table on the right side of the bed with a table lamp and a book on top of it. Upon closer inspection, he caught sight of a knife holster strapped to the front leg of the table and a gun holster strapped at the back, possibly for an easy grab for her to strike an attack if anyone broke into her home such as what he’s doing currently. He smirked from seeing it. Despite being safe in her own home, she was still well prepared. Smart girl, he thought as he moved away to briefly inspect her wardrobe, her vanity table and the full length mirror right against the wall before he moved on for the bathroom. 

It has both a bathtub and a shower with a glass door large enough for him to enter and the tub was big enough for him to sit in it, but he won’t be using it anytime soon. It’ll leave too much evidence. Krauser briefly inspected himself in the bathroom mirror, seeing the dark circles under his eyes, his pale skin, and the stubble that was slowly growing out. He hasn’t gotten a chance to rest properly let alone have a proper meal in quite a while. He doesn’t exactly have a home for himself since he sold his apartment and his safe house was in another country he hardly goes to anymore. If he’s lucky since learning of Dullahan’s home, he hopes she doesn’t mind him crashing her place whenever she’s not around for the time being.

Her office table was the last to be inspected after leaving the bathroom. “Of course you have a password.” He grumbled to himself upon opening her laptop before closing it and searched through her drawers where he discovered a single sheet of paper containing coordinates that looked important to be written down by her. He copied them down on a fresh sheet of paper he found in another drawer and tucked it away in his pocket. Another accidental discovery he stumbled upon was another hidden compartment underneath the coordinates he had copied from containing a file detailing her next mission. A smirk crept on his lips. It seems she’ll be leaving tomorrow and she’ll be away for at least five days by most. 

Perfect.

There was nothing left to investigate in her home other than taking a few things from her fridge and a bottle of water and it was time to leave. He found what was important and he’ll use it to his advantage when she’s away. 

He left it for day one so he won’t accidentally break in while she’s packing her gear to leave for her mission. It was only on day two he repeated how he snuck in with ease and let out a long heavy sigh of relief as soon he entered the empty loft. He dropped his large duffel bag containing his clothes and all of his necessities on the floor, a couple of plastic bags containing the food he purchased for himself to cook with her kitchenware on the kitchen island, and made his way to the couch to rest. It was plush but he didn't care. He got a place to rest and regain his strength. It’ll be his own little secret and he’ll make sure she never knows that someone like him was using her place to crash for the time being. 

Once he was well rested after a few good hours, he went straight upstairs to the bathroom and turned on the shower. Krauser instantly melted by the hot water running down his body, soothing away the tense muscles and aches he had on him, and washing away the smell and grime off him. The smell of her body wash and her shampoo was a bit too strong for him and too scented for his type. Thank god he brought his own products. It did however make him curious how it smelled like on her. None of the scents he smelled on her during their ‘close interactions’ were nowhere close to what she has in her bathroom. It’s a shame he admitted since he can be quite a curious man needing the answers straight away.

The shower was done and Krauser proceeded to shave his five o’clock off with his knife. It was quite sharp that he didn't need to use a razor at all. His knife can get the job done easily without a hassle. 

Sleep was what he wanted again but he was craving to get a proper meal in his stomach after being on the road for quite some time, living off on rations and granola bars until he found a mom and pop diner or a bar that made a decent good meal. The place Trish works at was made as a mental note to visit and eat there again. Only when she’s not there or maybe when he chooses to surprise her by his presence as usual. As of now, cooking his food was his main priority. 

Three months

Krauser doesn’t often sneak into her loft and when he does, he always made sure nothing of his was left behind, the place was deep cleaned free of his prints, he thrown out his own trash into a garbage bag rather than the trash can and dispose of it at the dumpster the next block over, wiped his fingerprints away on anything he touched and used, and anything in her name was not out of place or excessively used to indicate his usage on her stuff. 

Yet somehow Dullahan knew someone had been sneaking into her home. She told him that when they ended their mission in Krauser’s motel room. He saw that distant look on her face illuminated by the large neon sign outside his window, the way her eyebrows furrowed together, her cigarette hanging from her two fingertips, and that annoying knee bouncing she does when she’s agitated on the worn out pleather chair. 

“Why the hell are you telling me this?” He let out a grunt while he rubbed his sore neck from all the hair grabbing she did to make him look up at her face while she was riding him. He was actually glad she told him now that he’ll collect more information to be prepared for next time or lay low at one of her safe houses from the coordinates he wrote down. She has quite a lot in a number of countries and he wasn’t complaining, only the lack of specific necessities but it was simply a pet peeve. 

Dullahan took a drag of her cigarette, thinking on what to say, and blew out two smoke rings. Impressive. She gave him her answer after putting it out. “I know you’re quite an expert in traps and alarms so I’m asking as a favour for some of your devices.” It easily caught his full attention with a raised scarred eyebrow and long exhale releasing a stream of smoke. He leaned against the headboard, crossing his muscular arms against his chest and soon let out a deep chuckle.

“What’s in it for me?”

“It depends on what you want from me in return.” She was starting to dress herself all while keeping her pain subdue at her hips area. Damn him for grabbing them so hard his thumbs left bruises on them but damn does he fucked her so good. She swore could still feel his lingering touches on her skin and those sharp canines when he was marking her on her right shoulder. He always made her melt like a puddle with brute force and she always enjoyed it without admitting it to his face. “If you need me to collect any information for you? Fine. Return the same favour with my own devices? Sure. Name your price.”

Krauser let her words simmer in his head, a smirk almost gracing on his lips Dullahan quickly figured out what he could be thinking. “I need to know if you’re allowing me. If you say no then the offer is off the table. Got it?” “That sounds tempting, dollface.” He let out another chuckle as he leaned onto his knees propped up, cocking his head slightly in her direction as she finished dressing herself but not in that blue jacket and her helmet. Both of them were packed away in her bag and they were replaced with a black leather jacket and biker’s helmet. “I’ll think about it.”

“You have until tomorrow evening to tell me or else you’ll get nothing from me.” She straightened back her shoulders, almost wincing when the fresh bite mark brushed against the fabric of her jacket, forced to exhale softly through her teeth and catching his smirk grew a bit wider revealing part of those sharp canines. As she half frowned from the sight of that damn smirk, it sent a shiver down her spine. No matter what, it always got her. “Goodnight, Major.” She made her way for the exit, her helmet tucked under her right arm and her bag slung over her left shoulder. As soon the sound of his door was closed shut, he let out a heavy sigh to himself, leaning back against the headboard again, tapping the ashes out while smoothing his hair back. 

It had put him in a bit of a dilemma if he chose to allow it to happen and yet it was his own device he created. Surely he will bypass it and note down where she would place them the next time he sneaks back into her loft. However, that is the problem. Two problems whether he accepts or rejects it. Accepting it, she’ll probably rework his traps and that’ll put him in a predicament. Rejecting it, she’ll find either someone else or make her own alarm system. That woman continues to be unpredictable and he was still impressed by it while there’s that lingering annoyance at the back of his head. 

He set up their meeting at the diner across the motel. By the time Dullahan arrived Krauser was already finishing his second plate and requested his third refill of coffee. She ordered herself a strawberry milkshake and curly fries. He had to witness her dipping the said fries into her milkshake and eating them like it was a normal combination. 

The hitman saw his irked expression and she gave him one of her teasing smiles towards him. “It’s good if you try it, Jackie.” “I’ll pass.” He grunted and then brought a small black briefcase onto the table and slid it across her. “Here. I did some quick modifications to it and whoever your intruder is will get a little something without needing to lift those pesky nimble fingers of yours.” Krauser casually leaned back against the booth while Dullahan inspected the traps and alarms with great curiosity. He picked up the remote from the case. “Once you install them, it’ll automatically connect to this once you press this button.” He tapped the green button with his middle finger. “Keep it on you at times, there’s no replacement so good luck getting back inside if you lose it.”

“This is quite kind of you to lend me your traps, Krauser.” Dullahan told him once she put the stuff back inside the briefcase and closed it, bringing it onto her side. “I’ll return it back to you when I have my own alarm system set up.” The milkshake was pushed away so her elbows can rest on the table. “Now for the favour.” She was immediately silent by the raise of his gloved hand.

“Save it. I don’t have anything to ask from you,” he told her, taking note of her expression by his rejection. The way her eyebrows knitted together and her lips pulled into a fine thin line if he was pulling her leg, literally. “Not yet that is. I’ll hold onto the offer until the time comes.” His promise wasn’t enough to satisfy her questions that were currently swimming in her head as she continued to stare straight at him. He casually shrugged his shoulders. “Take it or else I take it back.”

Her hand automatically went over the briefcase. “I’ll take it still.” She stuffed her hand into her pocket and pulled out a hundred dollar bill onto the table, paying for both her order and Krauser’s while tipping their server handsomely at the same time. “Thank you really, Jack.” It was very rare to hear his first name being spoken and the majority addressed him as either Krauser or Major, nothing more and nothing less. But not her. She calls him with only one particular nickname to either tease the man or annoy him for specific reasons as he does to her in return. At times she will address him correctly and very rarely she calls him Jack unless she was serious or sincere about it.

And she was sincere by what he has done for her.

His hand made a sweeping motion for her to leave. “Just go, Trish.” Simply by saying her actual name in return was his small sign of respect towards her. “And be careful with it.” “I will.” She assured him as she collected her stuff. “Thank you again. Goodbye for now.” 

The mercenary grunted his goodbye right as she left the diner and waiting to see her drive off, he patted the side pockets of his cargo pants to make sure he had given her the right remote which is actually a copy of the original that is in his possession right now. She will have her loft protected when she’s at work but when she’s away, he will still use her place and he can easily deactivate the alarm system from outside the door with the push of the button. He also installed a tracking ware in the devices so he can know where she would set them up. There’s three devices and he’s certain two of them will be installed by both doors and it’s only the third one he will need to check where she’ll place it when he’s there eventually for next time.

It's only when she bumps into an old high school crush, Lina Khan, off the pages of their many penpal letters and face-to-face for the very first time, that she finds hope that revival is possible. What she doesn't realize is that sometimes, she just doesn't dictate what survives, and what comes to a close.

Return of the Mermaid

2023’s 3rd Most Memorable Moment

If we had a dose of Vitamin C last January, we had an actual mermaid last December.

By Mermaid, I mean my very close friends, Monica, who immigrated to the US shortly after we graduated high school and has only been here in the Philippines for a vacation every few years—the last time was in 2019, and it was also a contender for my Top 10 Moments list for that year but sadly fell short, giving birth to our #JusticeForMermaids group chat.

Anyway, we had a better plan this year, that’s why it placed really high—and my 2023 wasn’t eventful, to be honest.

We rented an Airbnb rest house in Amadeo, Cavite, but before we headed there, we had lunch at Balay Dako. Some of the food we ordered were their signature paella, lumpiang sariwa, camaron rebosado, ginataang langka, and chicharong bulaklak—Monica had been craving this for days, and tried to order in two different restaurants she had been to recently, but they were sadly unavailable.

After buying some groceries, we then went to our Airbnb. The place was very cozy, it had a small, four-feet deep pool, and we had the entire place to ourselves.

When we’ve already settled, we had a mandatory photoshoot at the side of pool, then we went back inside our room to present our ✨ Life update ✨ presentations, which was Wilma’s idea. I created mine just that morning, right before I readied myself, and I simply copied the stuff from my blog and placed it on a pdf.

Wilma went first, then me. I also introduced to them the guy I was seeing who joined us via Zoom—they were so thrilled to meet him. Marjette, Monica, and Trish followed after me in that order. These presentations went on until 11:00 PM, and we finished one bottle of pink moscato—around 75% was consumed by me, so I was a bit drunk when it was Trish’s turn. And even though I’d love to share all their juicy stories here, they’d kill me if I did.

The following day, we played Cards Agains Humanity, and then went out for a while to buy food for breakfast. Then, we took dip in the pool right after eating.

Upon checking out, we hit the road going to Imus—we were gonna have lunch at Wilma’s house. It was a last minute idea, so her mom just prepared all the food she could get out from the fridge for us. We stayed and rested there for a while, then took a short drive going to Monica’s house for her dinner party.

We brought Wilma’s Tetris Jenga and played for one round, but we never got to finish it ‘coz we were already invited to eat. The moment we returned to our table with our food, the wind blew the jenga tower that we’ve built so far.

Our high school friends, Sarah and Jef, came to the party as well. And we sang karaoke while emptying the three remaining bottles of pink moscato—again, I think I may have drunk 75% of those, meaning I was more wasted then than I was the night before. My most favorite song that we sang that night was Rivermaya’s “You’ll Be Safe Here” because it was such a throwback, and we were harmonizing when we were singing.

You know why I love this memory so much? I woke up the day after feeling a bit depressed ‘coz I just missed being with them. Stuff like this happens only once every few years, and we haven’t even been complete yet—Celine was missing here, Monica wasn’t present back in January.

Maybe we should plan for the next winter solstice, then?

Monday Night Raw (7/3):

Ronda Rousey came out to the ring, but was interrupted by her former best friend and tag team partner Shayna Baszler, telling Ronda that no one wanted to hear her talk. Ronda said that Shayna owed her an explanation for betraying her on Saturday at Money in the Bank. Shayna fired back, reminding Ronda that she wouldn't even be in WWE if it weren't for Shayna, and that unlike Rousey, Baszler paid her dues and worked her way up through the independent wrestling scene. She then went on to say that the only thing she owed was an apology for bringing Ronda into WWE. Ronda tried to choke Shayna out, but Shayna countered into an ankle lock, before hitting Ronda with a knee strike and walking away.

Sonya Seville & Chelsea Green won tag team turmoil to become the number one contenders to the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships. The match started with Sonya Neville & Chelsea Green taking on Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae. After eliminating Indi & Candice, they also eliminated Emma & Nikki Cross, before also facing and eliminating Dana Brooke & Tegan Nox. The final team to enter was Katana Chance & Katana Chance, who Sonya & Chelsea also eliminated to become number one contenders. match length-11:55.

Becky Lynch came out to the ring. She said that she can move on from not winning Money in the Bank, but that she can't move on from Trish Stratus. She called out Trish, telling her to come out to the ring so they could end things. Trish Stratus and Zoey Stark came out, and Trish said that she wasn't medically cleared to compete. Becky said that she would fight Zoey instead, saying that Zoey was better than Trish anyways, and a match between Becky and Zoey was set for next week on Raw.

Rhea Ripley defeated Natalya to retain the Women’s World Championship. The match opened with Natalya attacking Rhea from behind as the champion was making her way to the ring. The match was back and forth as both women were able to get in various degrees of offense. Natalya nearly made Rhea tap with the Sharpshooter, but Rhea got to the bottom rope. Rhea hit Natalya with the Riptide to successfully retain the title. match length-12:45.

After the match, Rhea continued to beat Natalya down, but the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez came to her aid. Rhea got out of the ring, and Raquel stared down the champion.

Backstage, Ms. Money in the Bank Iyo Sky came face to face with Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley. Iyo said she would see Rhea around, and the champion responded that cashing in on her would be the biggest mistake of Iyo's life. Rhea then complained to Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio about Liv and Raquel coming to the aid of Natalya, saying that she would make them regret getting involved in her business.

NXT (7/4):

Blair Davenport defeated Roxanne Perez. The match started off hot, with Roxanne attacking Blair from behind while Blair was making her way to the ring. After a back and forth match, Blair was finally able to put Roxanne down for the three count. match length-12:02.

Ivy Nile was being interviewed backstage, but she was interrupted by NXT Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton. Tiffany talked trash to Ivy, who reminded Tiffany that the whole world had seen her tap out to Thea Hail the week before at Gold Rush.

Kelani Jordan defeated Tatum Paxley. In her NXT TV singles debut, Kelani managed to defeat Tatum with veteran Dana Brooke in her corner. Kelani got the pinfall win after hitting a stunner out of nowhere on Tatum. match length-2:47.

After the match, Cora Jade came out to "congratulate" Kelani, before warning Kelani that any friend of Dana's is her enemy. Kelani challenged Cora to a match right then and there, but Cora said that no one tells her what to do, before walking away.

Lyra Valkyria defeated Jacy Jayne. Lyra was able to pin Jacy after hitting a spinning leg lariat. match length-8:54.

After the match, Jacy beat down Lyra, before tearing up her entrance wings.

A vignette was shown of Kiana James entering her office which had been filled with paint by Gigi Colin.

AEW Dynamite (7/5):

Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament first round: Ruby Soho defeated Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. Britt battled the numbers game of The Outcasts, with both Saraya and AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm at ringside interfering in the match. In the end, Ruby was able to roll up Britt, with Toni holding Ruby down to help secure the pinfall win. match length-10:07.

After the match, Skye Blue confronted Ruby Soho. The two women will compete against each other in the semifinals on next week's Dynamite.

WWE Main Event (7/6):

No women's matches this week.

Friday Night SmackDown (7/7):

A video package was shown, recapping the WWE Women's Championship match between Asuka and Charlotte Flair from last week's SmackDown, as well as Bianca Belair's involvement in the match which caused it to end in a no contest.

WWE Women's Champion Asuka came out to the ring, but was quickly interrupted first by Bianca Belair and then Charlotte Flair. The three brawled, before Ms. Money in the Bank Iyo Sky attacked Asuka with the briefcase. Bayley hit a Rose Plant on Asuka onto the briefcase, before Iyo hit the champion with a moonsault. Iyo told Bayley she was going to cash in, but before the official could ring the bell, Bianca attacked Bayley and Charlotte attacked Asuka. Bianca, Bayley, and Iyo (who is still Ms. Money in the Bank) were left laid out on the floor, Charlotte stood tall in the ring, and Asuka escaped with her title.

NXT Level Up (7/7):

Fallon Henley defeated Tatum Paxley. match length-5:53.

AEW Rampage (7/7):

Hikaru Shida defeated Marina Shafir. Shida defeated Marina after hitting the Katana. match length-3:31.

TBS Champion Kris Statlander was interviewed backstage, where she said that she would defend her title anywhere and against anyone.

AEW Collision (7/8):

Willow Nightingale was originally supposed to compete tonight against Athena in the Women's Owen Hart Cup Tournament semifinals, but it was announced on Twitter hours before the show that she had suffered injuries earlier in the week while competing on July 4 and 5 at NJPW Strong Independence Day in Japan. The match is being moved to the Friday, July 14, edition of AEW Rampage, in an effort to give Willow a chance to get medically cleared.

Julia Hart defeated Bambi Hall. match length-2:20.

Other news & updates from last week:

According to a report from Fightful Select on Monday afternoon, the rumor that had circulated leading up to Money in the Bank about Charlotte Flair replacing Zelina Vega in the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match was false. Charlotte's current program with WWE Women's Champion Asuka and Bianca Belair has been planned since before she returned a few weeks ago.

In an Instagram caption on Monday, Ronda Rousey noted that the length of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship match at Money in the Bank had gotten cut 3 times. The match ended up being 9 minutes long. This isn't the first time that Ronda has been vocal in her criticism about the amount of time given to women's matches, as she expressed similar frustration after her match with Liv Morgan at SummerSlam 2022 was only given about 4 and a half minutes.

In significantly more exciting news regarding the women's division in WWE, the July 3 edition of Monday Night Raw, nearly every member of the Raw women's division was featured on-screen in some capacity. 21 of the 23 women on the roster were featured, plus an appearance by SmackDown superstar Iyo Sky. The only 2 women who weren't on the July 3 edition of Raw were Piper Niven and Xia Li.

On Wednesday, July 5 at day 2 of NJPW Independence Day, Willow Nightingale lost the NJPW Strong Women's Championship to Giulia. For those who aren't familiar with Giulia, she is one-third of the current Artist of Stardom champions in the Japanese all-women's promotion Stardom.

According to WWE, the June 30 edition of SmackDown and WWE Money in the Bank (both of which took place at the O2 Arena in London, England) generated a combined gate of more than $5.4 million. Additionally, the June 30 episode of SmackDown was the highest-grossing SmackDown of all-time, and WWE Money in the Bank was the highest-grossing arena event of all-time.

WWE also announced that this year's Money in the Bank marked the highest-grossing arena event for venue merchandise in WWE history, and sponsorship revenue was up 9 percent versus the record set in 2022.

Viewership for this year's event jumped 17 percent from last year's record, as well as surpassing the viewership of the last U.K. premium live event (Clash at the Castle) by 30 percent.

On Friday, WWE announced that this year’s Survivor Series event will take place on Saturday, November 25, 2023. The announcement included no mention of the WarGames theme from the 2022 event. Both the Survivor Series event itself, as well as Friday Night SmackDown the night before will take place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. This is the same building where several other WWE events have been held, including NXT TakeOver: WarGames in 2019, Survivor Series 2019, and most recently hosted Hell in a Cell 2022.

Dave Meltzer's ratings for WWE Money in the Bank 2023 have been announced. The WWE Women's Tag Team Championship match between Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler and Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez received 2.75 stars, while the women's Money in the Bank ladder match was given a rating of 4 stars. Additionally, the Women's World Championship match between Rhea Ripley and Natalya on the July 3 edition of Monday Night Raw received a rating of 3.75 stars.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Vince McMahon was backstage at Friday Night SmackDown on July 7 at Madison Square Garden. It is worth noting that MSG isn't far from WWE HQ in Connecticut, and Vince has been known to be backstage at shows close to where WWE corporate offices are.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported on Sunday, July 9 that the upcoming July 21, 2023 edition of Friday Night SmackDown will be airing on FS1 instead of Fox, due to Fox coverage of the FIFA Women's World Cup. This week's show on July 14 is still set to air on Fox as usual.

After last week's confrontation, Becky Lynch will go one-on-one with Zoey Stark this Monday, July 10, on Raw.

This Tuesday, July 11 on NXT, following an exchange of harsh words between Ivy Nile and the NXT Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton, Ivy will step up to the champ in a non-title match.

This Wednesday, July 12 on AEW Dynamite, Skye Blue and Ruby Soho will face off with a spot in the Women's Owen Hart Tournament finals on the line.

OK but for realz I have had a BUSY few months. Also just... where does the time go in general? We're halfway through JULY. Is this just what adult life is now?!

Ahem anyway. I'm sorry this took a little longer than expected, I tried to make sure it was a longer chapter than usual to make up for it. So long in fact that while I'd planned to include the fight sequence in this chapter, I realised it would probably be better in its own one. Sorry, I know I mentioned combat last time, hopefully next chapter will have it for sure! (I mean technically Trish did kill something so...)

Thank you to all the loyal and patient people who have stuck with this and waited for me to finally update. We're definitely reaching the end now, and I'm hoping the next chapter won't take as long as this one. >.<

9/3/2023 Update: I really don’t want to private or delete this post because it’s helpful to see a reflection of how judgmental I am when I need to just trust the process. I thought I was failing in life when I wrote this. I just set incredible high standards for myself, and projected that onto Trish’s work because she is someone that I have always looked up to. I do not watch wrestling consistently unless Trish is on screen, honestly.

My health has been damaged by perfectionism, trauma, and not paying attention to the smaller things in life. Like drinking water! Now I’m picking up the pieces, having awful days nearly every day. I just feel like a failure.

This feud with Becky Lynch has been very bumpy, but the payoff was outstanding because last night was one of the best steel cage matches ever. I’m shocked, even though I know it’s a totally Trish Stratus thing to do is go out there and prove to HERSELF that she can do it.

Who knows how that match could have gone, but it processed phenomenally. I feel more uplifted being in the dark now.

Just very proud of call Trish a mentor I’ve never met.

I adore Trish Stratus, but this heel run is losing steam. Her promos remind me of her debut promo with T&A. There's no confidence in her presentation and line delivery.

Trish's mellow voice could work if she embraced some condescending, unhinged mother-like character reminiscent of Faye Dunaway in Mommie Dearest.

Like you just KNOW that something sinister is boiling inside of her. And Becky referencing the barking incident could have been the perfect introduction. But instead, Trish's feud with Becky is a retread of the tired 'I was a legend in my era' storyline she had with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. It could help if WWE stops introducing her as a Hall of Famer and just as a seven-time women's champion. She's not a "nostalgia act," yet she comes out with her protective mask, which feels so shallow. It worked in 2004 because her intense feud with Lita culminated in Trish being the well-deserved target of Lita's violent breaking point.

Trish impressively wrestles better than she did in her prime years, but she doesn't feel like a final boss. And she really could be if she could go the full distance and try something new.

of course, i must pay my respects to the esteemed araki and david productions for making this fever dream of a series. they not only brought me back into anime and manga, but also into creative writing. it was dry until they found me, not gonna lie.

thank you to the insanely talented fanfic writers on ao3 and wattpad who inspired me to write this fic. your imaginations are wild, and if anything, you made me fall more in love with the series. thank you as well to the wonderful fan artists. your modern au art of the gang gave me life and sustetenance.

thank you to all the luxury clothing brands out there. gucci, dior, louis vuitton. it's highly unlikely i'll ever own some of your pieces, but a good portion of the outfits in this book are straight from your runways, so thank you. if you're interested in checking out where i got my inspiration, poke around on the vogue site :DD

  honestly? it's been such a long time that i'm hard-pressed to remember the initial inspiration for this fic. i was actually working on a few other fics before I started this one. none of them wanted to fly, though, so now they're sitting dustily in my drafts.

i think the start of pseumino was this other vento aureo fic i wrote. it was pretty cool, but way out of reach for my inexperienced ass. i might go back to it one day, but i was like, can I write something easier and less complciated than this? i think I might have been reading some college thing, who knows, but the idea stuck, and here we are.

  for original concepts, i fumbled around with making y/n's stand ability the ability to flatten things (like zucchero, i guess). i got pretty far with it before i found the inspiration for white satin. (who was orginally going to be named paradise city for it's floaty, glimmery apperance).

some of you might remember when this fic was called "elaborate" and was a female reader insert. that was inspired by some song lyrics i found with the lyrics "elaborate lies". i thought it fit the vibe really well (at the time, anyway).

narancia, fugo, risotto and abbacchio were meant to be an opposing group to the sapiena elites. i remember planning some kind of power struggle and trying to get them to overthrow the elites somehow. eventually, it just became easier to lump them all together.

i don't think risotto was supposed to be in this fic, but he snuck in somehow.

  i'm gonna be real. this fic isn't quite 100% in my mind. it sort of feels like I took 3 different fics and tried to mash them together. (like, the sapiena elites, narancia and fugo, and then abbacchio and risotto feel separate and don't quite mesh). the original concept i had changed drastically, and i still feel that y/n's motivations to become noticed are petty and childish. i tried to expand on them, but it still feels clumsy.

ironically, the sapiena elites were the hardest ones to write for. it was easy to come up with scenarios for everyone else, but the detatched glamour that i attatched to mista, bruno, trish and giorno made it hard to get into their heads and find interesting scenarios to put them in. if i could go back, i would've scrapped the elite idea completely and just made them regular students.

going back to edit the entire fic was pretty grueling as well. i surprised myself with just how much my writing style and abilities changed within a year. if i could rewrite this fic, i would've changed the entire beginning. elaborating more on that supposed bizarre activity that was happening, fleshing out the relationships with everyone, really clamping down on the reader's flighty personality because i had no idea what i wanted it to read like (and it shows, i think).

this fic was rocky, and i appreciate your patience with it. it helped me to ground my writing style, and plunged me into the world of competent writing, characters and plot. i still have a way to go, but i'm glad i started here.

Mentions of: Panic attacks and talks of torture

The old movie theatre looked like it could fall apart as soon Krauser stepped inside. He doesn’t understand the appeal by the appearance of the boarded windows, the graffiti doors and walls, and the old withered movie posters that have never been taken down. The back entrance was broken in, giving him a clear understanding that people have snuck into this building before and still is. Inside the theatre, it did give him a sense of nostalgia of his own past. It felt like he was walking back into his childhood when his parents brought him to watch his first black and white film the building was playing. When he took his first date back in high school, he thought of Dullahan, wondering if she’ll enjoy watching old films with him in a cinema.

Four days have passed since Dullahan went missing and no one has made any update regarding her. As if she has disappeared from the face of the earth. It’s been six years after Operation Javier. Krauser never thought he would experience that one fear again: loss. His whole team wiped out like the snap of a finger, his arm seriously wounded that forced him into an early retirement from the army. He knew basically everyone from the group and he knew each and everyone of them either have family of their own, a loved one, or have no one. He had no one and he was the only survivor.

When he returned to the safe house with the evidence he could find that fully confirmed Dullahan was taken, he was shaking. Badly. He hasn’t had a panic attack in such a long time since the event and now today, he felt that tight constricting feeling in his chest, sweat dotting his forehead, his arm throbbing, and his breathing hectic. 

He couldn’t lose her too. He tried to focus on his breathing as he would have instructed her to do when she experienced her own panic attacks and literal body breakdown from the cause of it. He imagined Dullahan’s soothing voice instead of his own to calm the panic coursing through his body, telling him that he was safe in her arms, how the attack will go away soon, and how much she cares for him. God how much he missed her so badly and how much regret he’ll have if he has to one day discover the news of her death. The mythical Dullahan, his beloved Trish, the future with Natasha, simply gone. 

Krauser can’t recall what time he ended up passing out from all the exhaustion, but he does remember crying the whole time in bed, clutching Dullahan’s favourite item in his hands, burying his nose into the fabric to remember her scent and smelling the fear he had dreaded thinking when the time comes.

The sound of a gun clicking in the silent hall caught Krauser’s ears and his knife quickly reached for their throat, the blade kissing the skin with the intention to slit their throat without a second thought. The gun never got a chance to be pointed at his head and he grabbed the weapon out of their hands and tossed it away.

“First lesson: Knives are faster.” He growled, his eyes narrowing at the familiar fiery red pixie haircut. “You’re Nikki?”

Dullahan’s informant rose her hands up by her head, afraid to swallow the lump in her throat. “My name is Nicole Bernhardt, her informant.” Her hazel eyes flickered back and forth on the knife and Krauser. “I know who you are. Major Jack Krauser, United States Army, you also worked for the USSOCOM having led multiple successful operations in your force, callsign ‘Silverdax’, until Operation Javier-” The knife was pressed harder, nicking her skin and drawing a bit of blood. 

“You got a lot of nerves looking into my background.” Fury was burning in those blue eyes, itching to end her life in a heartbeat. He doesn’t need her help, he’ll find Dullahan on his own. “How did you know about Operation Javier?”

“Because I hacked into the government’s system on Dullahan’s request.” Fear was in her eyes, pleading with him to spare her life. “I used to work with her back at R.A.S!”

R.A.S.

Research Altercation of Somatology.

He had heard bits of information about the facility that supposedly did human experimentation for military weaponry purposes for how many years and it eventually shut down their operations due to a whistleblower. Dullahan never told him much about the place or the experiments they’ve done other than bits and pieces on what they’ve done to her such as removing her memories when her experimentation was a success.

Krauser pulled his knife away and sheathed it back into the holster. “I remember you…I saw you back at the bar a few months ago and clearly it was you I grabbed a month ago when I saw you at the cafe with her.”

“Yeah sorry for breaking your nose but I can’t let you mess up Dull’s plan.”

“You better tell me what you were talking about at the chatboard and what Dullahan was hiding from me.” Krauser practically growled his words at her. “Who is this Rat?”

“Do you have anything you found at her last known spot first? Anything?”

“Quite enough.” He pulled out what looked to be Dullahan’s signature blue uniform jacket torn up and covered in dried blood, part of her duel wielding weapon, the axe side, and her gun. He had been clutching her jacket when he was crying the whole night and he never let it go the whole time, fearing it would turn into ashes in his sleep. Nikki’s eyes widened from the state of the jacket, she practically went to snatch it but Krauser pulled it back from her grasp. “Don’t you fucking touch it. This is precious to her.”

“I know that because I’m the one who made it for her!” Nikki snatched the jacket from him and inspected the damages. “She designed the uniform when she got promoted to the high ranks, she wanted to stand out from the rest of us and she wanted to impress him.”

“The Rat?”

Nikki shook her head. “She prefers him to be addressed as ‘her creator’. He used to run R.A.S until the downfall of what Dull did. Then he disappeared when the special forces came charging into the facility. No one knows where he is and she’s been trying to track him down along with the rest of the team that went into hiding or separate paths.” She ran her thumb over the black patch sewn over the breast area feeling each bump of the white thick thread Dullahan had used to cover up her former affiliation. 

“The Rat is Dr. Alexai Rowland. Supposedly renowned regarding the brain in dealing with memories and how to…fix them. People with trauma, spotty kinds that still need more puzzles, those kinds of things. But I’ve seen what he mostly does. He specialises in manipulating the subject to obey better and to do that, he created a machine that removes one’s memories, painfully. Better than using viruses or B.O.Ws.”

It clicked in Krauser’s head when he connected the dots, his left eye twitched. It was like Spain all over again. “He’s turning them into puppets.”

“Almost, kind of, I don’t know. This is the kind of information I’m not well versed enough, but take Dull’s position.” She stopped when she caught sight of Krauser’s hands slowly flexing until he made her continue. “She underwent the process so many times for anything under the two reasons in his eyes that was deemed…‘imperfect’ and she would be sent to Dr. Rowland to ‘fix’ her. I-It’s like the process of how old movie editing works; they cut out a small number of scenes from the reel and paste the two ends together, so if let’s say she went completely out of character of her…previous personality…and does something out of line, they removed that moment and she won’t recall what she did while the rest knew what she did. 

“The second one is basically chucking away the whole film reel. I don’t know when exactly it happened but they have speculated it happened after the incident where she lost her left arm and Dullahan had, has, who the hell knows, a history of memory relapsing due to how much she went through because of her ‘behaviour’. It’s like she’ll experience a sense of deja vu and try to piece things together or figure out the sense behind it if something, someone, or a particular line of sentence triggers that supposedly removed memory in her brain. So if she’s starting to almost go off the rails, then yeah, that one whole day is gone from her head and she’s going on like nothing just happened but we know what happened.”

The whole explanation Nikki had explained to Krauser made him take a seat on the old dusty chair. It was all new information about her, a traumatic one more importantly. He was starting to understand those little moments she had done in front of him that ranged from suddenly staring off into the distance to sudden jerks of her body parts, specifically her head, and what she had been muttering underneath her breath. Sometimes it’s the same word over and over again to gibberish nonsense he doesn’t understand if he said something that set it off or what she heard. He can understand why she never properly brought up that subject. It was simply a painful memory for her. No matter how much someone can take away the bits and pieces for her to forget, she could never forget the actions they’ve done to her. 

Another new fear was instilled in him. She’ll forget about him now that Dr. Rowland has kidnapped her. She’ll forget all the years they’ve known each other, the moments they’ve spent together, the memories they created with each other, she’ll forget who she was to him. She’ll no longer be the woman that he knew. 

“How are we going to find this bastard?” He said, tapping his fingers against the armrest. “We’re running out of time if he does anything to her with his machine.”

Nikki shook her head, nibbling the corner of her bottom lip, her thumbs digging into the fabric. “That’s a problem. When I texted you thinking you were Dull at first, it was at that time Dr. Rowland somehow knew where she'd be and I ran through my what ifs had I knew this information early to warn her, or if I contacted her organisation regarding a leak in their system, he would somehow still get her without any of us knowing right under our noses. But, there’s a bit of good news, he doesn’t have his machine since Dull destroyed it in her havoc years ago and majority of his work was destroyed from what information I’ve found. So there could be a delay in his progress if he’s going to reprogram Dull again but I don’t know if he will have other methods. Unfortunately…”

“You don’t know where he is.”

She nodded her head solemnly. “Of his new location, yes. But not the previous location. It’s our only lead so far.”

“Our?” Krauser immediately stood up, overtowering her short stature, her legs became jelly and her knees shaking from the growl in his voice to the burning rage on his face. “I’m going there alone. You focus on finding him. If anything, I will have your head.”

“You will need me regardless.” Her voice was almost shaking. She has dealt with Dullahan in her previous life back at R.A.S due to her calm but cold nature and has undergone hard trials as a soldier, but somehow, being threatened by a former Major turned mercenary with her life if she messes up was a frightening experience. “I have connections, resources, and can go to places you can’t. Dullahan trusts me with this job. So please…trust me too.”

His nostrils flared by the word ‘trust’ thrown at him like that. He never trusted anyone with anything and how he lost his trust with the government that threw him on the side to keep things under the rug. Dullahan was the only person who has done right with that word towards him. 

“You better earn my trust when you make a breakthrough in finding him.”

“Yes sir.”

“Major.” He growled. She nodded.

“Yes Major.” Nikki pulled out a small note and held it towards him. “This is the address. There might be people who could have sheltered him during his stay or anyone who assisted him still lingering around. He would never come back to collect anything he might have left behind and instead get someone to do so.”

“Hmph.” The note was tucked into one of his vest pockets. Then he held his hand out to her. Nikki blankly blinked at him, confused. “Give me back her jacket.” He’s not allowing her to take what’s left of her belongings from him.

“I can fix it up for her.” She glanced back at the jacket in hand. The state of the blue jacket looked to be beyond repair with part of the left sleeve gone, the right sleeve missing a chunk of the fabric, the train having four symmetrical large tears that looked to be done by her claws, and a couple of buttons missing. “A lot of fixing and cleaning.”

“Do not make me repeat myself again, girlie.” He flexed his fingers back once. “Give it back.”

The jacket was returned to him. 

“You know she won’t like what happened to it.” She pointed it out.

“You said you made it.” He said to her, “Make her a new one. It still fits her after all those years. No changes, no upgrades.” He paused when he looked at the jacket too. “On second thought…Give it a couple of upgrades…”
