CAS Background Replacement - TS3 - Bbygyal123

This set of 4 elegant backgrounds is by Bbygyal123 on Tumblr and Patreon. They are from the "Aesthetic Closet" set and the 2023 Advent Calendar set.

The lighting in game is much more neutral, less saturated and bright than the pictures. I took these before the lighting/weather situation got fixed.

Information

The background uses a 2048x2048px image so it may slow down your computer and look blurry if graphics settings are not on high. Use at your own risk.

The CAS Room Default will replace the CAS Room, Create-a-Pet room, and the Create-a-Bot room. You can only have 1 CAS Room Default at a time.

The Stylist Room Default will only replace the Stylist Room. You can only have 1 Stylist Room Default at a time. Requires the Ambitions EP.

hello everyone !! :D there is not much to say tbh, i haven't had time to convert/play ts3 for a while, but i'm slowly getting back into the groove i love this shirt sm and b0t0xbrat has the best cc i've ever seen, i wish i had some of these stuff in my closet lol sa i'm expanding on my 90's/y2k stylee

there shouldn't be any issues but for some reason there are some random mini holes in the front part, they are visible one the 2nd preset, but in the others they can barely be spotted

This upload is inspired by one of my favorite vampire tv shows, What We Do in the Shadows. (It was supposed to be my Simblreen gift this year, but I'm hella late cuz IRL suuuuuucks...blood. 😅)

Known Problems:

The capes clip with the arms when the sim moves their arms back a lot. Apparently TSM has some bones that ts3 does not, and the capes work fine there, but on ts3 they don’t work as intended lol. But I did my best and think these are the best results!

LIGHTING GLITCHES ONLY APPEAR ON CAS!

* Note that teens and elders have unsolvable neck gaps. This is sadly the price for having them available! for teens, try using this slider by gruesim!

Hope you’re all okay with that!

the asian sim (paxtion choi) is MTF transgender and is closeted. as a way to trick herself (she's in denial due to family beliefs) she tries to make herself look more "manly" by dressing masculine and getting loads of tattoos

paxton's girlfriend natalie (the black + white sim) is an out bisexual who is helping paxton become her true self and will always be by her side

I promised I'd answer these for the other two main couples, so now it's Tyler and Sharon's turn! (In case you were wondering, yes Tyler wears glasses. Boy sees shit but usually he has contact lenses.)

🍭 What's something they can never agree on (big or small)?

Whether or not running is fun. Tyler hates it, even though he goes jogging with Sharon sometimes. Obviously, Sharon, as a professional athlete whose job is literally to run as fast as she can, loves it. Tyler is like, you're absolutely batshit insane for that but I love you anyway. (He's very impressed by her. Doesn't understand how she can do it.)

🍫 Who is more likely to steal the other's clothes? What are their favorite items to steal?

I like to think that they share clothes all the time and it's not even stealing. My closet, your closet, nah. OUR closet.

🍰 What is 'their song'? Officially or unofficially.

Oh this is so niche and goes way back to one summer night in 2018, I was playing ts3, going through an 80s rock hyperfixation, listening to Bon Jovi and then bam, I just had to go and make an 80s inspired photoshoot of Shyler. The song Born To Be My Baby played and I've been associating it with them since. I went to bed at like 5am that night, I just couldn't stop obsessing about it.

Orion has the reputation as being the nice one but he teased his younger brother all the time about his love of unicorns and believe of magic. It didn't help either he was quite popular in school while his little brother was often the target of most bullies. Orion has a small scar on his on his right hand he received from a bully who he caught picking on his little brother. Usually he let River fight his own battles but this bully was older and bigger than River so Orion felt he had to take care of him.

Orion has two big interests in life cheerleading and chocolate. He liked to say he was a cheerleader because of the girls but he seldom noticed them once he and the head cheerleader started dating. But he hasn't seen her since she went away to school and never came back except for visits to the family. So they both kind of drifted apart over the years.

He also loves chocolate. Not that he can eat any of it. He's allergic to the rich chocolaty goodness. Still that doesn't stop him from becoming a chocolatier. He's well known in the area and he caters many weddings with his creations.

His other interests are cooking and horseback riding. He also loves organizing things. Sorting through piles of junk and organizing it fun and he can watch hours of shows that deal with organizing peoples closets.

If any of my TS3 followers would like to make him a sim he's currently unattached. It doesn't matter what gender. All I'd need is a brief bio to write them into the story.

i finally have these 2 icons in me sim bin omg

i tried to keep nina’s look as similar to her TS2 appearance as possible even though i am itching to change it. the black crop top and pink jeans/cargos... the bright berry lip with the smoky eye in the daytime... I’M SORRY I JUST DON’T GET IT! i threw on some coral blush to complete her look. why not. it’s just so much all at once. it reminds me of the 2000s before social media was big, and most people just did whatever they wanted with their makeup and outfits. it’s the complete opposite of the current clean girl/soft glam/natural, minimalist, highly curated and perfected look. nina cakes it on and she looks damn good.

she’s like if a 2000s barbie raided a bratz doll’s closet. i’ve decided that’s the direction i’m taking her in. 

so actually this look is very fitting for nina the character. i can see her putting this on at her vanity in the morning, clothes strewn all over her bed, music blasting. i feel like she just doesn’t give a fuck. she looks in the mirror and she knows she’s hot, end of story. i can respect that.

you know what nina, i retract my judgment. i didn’t see the vision but now i do.

more ramble abt them below

i feel like dina very much aspires to the stereotypical sugar baby/gold digger lifestyle while nina just wants to live each day to the fullest, have fun, and is less concerned with snagging herself a rich man. she’s the more obvious wild child of the two (dina is just sneakier about her activities). i feel like nina would go for more sportswear and streetwear type clothes while dina goes for the y2k, 2010s glamorous it-girl look.

dina actually seems more mature and more of an older sister to me than nina. i feel like nina’s personality is more straightforward/direct, impulsive, and emotionally driven, while dina is more two-faced, strategic, and more of a subtly manipulative game-player which you’d have to be if you were to be a successful gold-digger. she thinks ahead and considers different outcomes, making her the more “responsible” decision maker of the duo. at the end of the day, they are both women who put themselves first and go after what they want, they just achieve their goals in different ways.

it’s interesting that the sims wiki states that nina’s official description is the “brains of the operation” and wants to study medicine when none of her traits in TS3 and TS4 really reflect those qualities. if anything i think dina would be the more successful one in the medicine field because she’s ambitious, charismatic, and you already know she’d network the hell out of a room. nina seems like she’d be more of a yolo, fly-by-the-seat-of-her-pants type of person in school/work/life in general.

I’ve been feeling ill the past few days so I wanted to relax by doing some decorating/building in TS4.

I moved Elise and Setsuko to the proper neighborhood. As these 2 are my OC’s, and this TS4 playthrough is just for fun, this whole thing isn’t exactly canon, but I couldn’t resist at least 1 part of their canon lifestyles: large, penthouse apartments.
