while I sympathise with all the artists that left, I loved downloading your cc.

This witch hunt to take down tsr is getting annoying. what tehy did was bad, yes. But preying for the downfall of tsr is not the way to go, what about all the other artists. You all claim it was like a family, but a lot of the fired artists are just wishing that the rest of teh family should be fired too.

I can not speak for every artist involved in this. I can only speak for myself. And I do not pray for the downfall of TSR. I am not religious in any way. (But just so its said, I do respect people who are religious, it's just not something for me) And personally I do not wish for the downfall of TSR. There is still a big part of my family left there working for the site, and for the Artists left there I wish they keep doing the work they like, provide the amazing quality content they have always made and do what they can to bring back the former glory TSR once had. And I know a lot of my fellow artists I have spoken with feels the same way. After all, we are one big family that's sadly been split up by poor management.

Personally, I will always be on the artists side, fired, left on their own or still working for TSR. In the end, that don't matter. They are still my family and I love and appreciate all the good times we had together💜 What I don't wish to be on the side of, is big corporates coming in, not knowing how to run a creative site and ruin it. And yes, I have been sharing my story along with other artists that got fired , to show the community how unfair a big chunk of us have been treated. What I wished for doing this, was to let the community know that the current management does not care for their artists like the former management did. And of course let my followers know where they will find my content in the future.

hii first of all thanks for all you do here! this blog has been a life saver for me <3 sorry in advance if this is a stupid question/one you don't want to answer- feel free to ignore. i was just wondering if you knew what the general opinion on reuploading content from tsr is? specifically older content that you can *only* find on tsr. at least these days the content is free but it's such a pain to wait on every file and i know a lot of people just skip downloads from there altogether (1/2)

i have a ton of stuff from there and don't mind the download wait times as much so i had the thought to potentially reupload stuff with direct links, but if that's not something that i *should* do then i won't lmao. just curious if you would have some insight! thanks again :) (2/2)

I would say the general opinion of re-uploading stuff from T$R is 100% green light. I think we all hate T$R and I for one absolutely despise it with all my heart. So I say go for it!! I even recieved an ask some months(?) ago asking for content on T$R to be hosted elsewhere (sorry anon for not replying, it wasn't something I felt I wanted to spend my time doing. I can barerly stand being on that hell of a website long enough to download one thing haha).

I wasn't exactly thinking of kissing when I said that... But well, it can sort of get in the way of that too. I can't kiss head on without my nose squishing upwards to reach. It's doable but usually some tilting of the head works better. This doesn't stop anyone from wanting to try, they tend to recognize how beautiful it is as they should and tell me it's "cute..." ////

Talking about casino’s, since it’s canon that Tails is banned from all of them for card counting, how would you see that going down in the picket fence timeline?

I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't personally consider things from Team Sonic Racing to be part of the actual canon. To me its story feels way more like it's just set dressing for a kart racer and different enough from how Sonic Riders operates that it doesn't feel like a story that's... real xD I don't really know how else to explain it, it's mainly a vibes thing. But I also don't consider the Sonic Origins' rewrites of past events to be canon either, so I'm fully aware that my preferences are not supported by the current lore, lol.

But back to the casino question! If something like that did go down, it'd be because Sonic and Tails used games like poker and blackjack as a way to make easy money when they were homeless. Counting cards isn't technically cheating - casinos just frown upon it because they want to win at the end of the day. The games are always more in the House's favor so that they make a profit. Even if the casino doesn't belong to Eggman (I couldn't find out if Casino Park is an Eggman casino... I don't think it is, and that's the one Tails says he's banned from lol), I think Sonic and Tails would get a certain degree of satisfaction out of winning as much from a casino as possible just on principle. I'm sure it's not the only casino that caught onto Tails counting cards, but once that happens, he's probably just asked to leave and never come back.

Not to mention, I think Sonic and Tails are able to get away with it in seedier establishments that don't care about a couple of kids sneaking in as long as they can pay and make good on their bets. I feel like Casino Park cares a bit more about their image and what it would mean if kids were caught gambling there though. The card counting might've initially grabbed their attention, but then they noticed that Tails was a child and just kicked him out xD Still, Tails would think it's way more funny to say he got banned for counting cards, and Sonic would absolutely encourage that.

If Casino Park is Eggman's casino though, it makes sense that Tails would get banned from all of them xD Eggman doesn't want him anywhere near his actual casino games, just near his casino death traps, lol.

I think TSR played a big part in the "crybaby that wouldn't hurt a fly" perception of Silver. Silver in that game can't even comprehend other people's aggression. I think that combined with how meek and even fearful he's often drawn in IDW creates that impression of him(he cowers in fear at Blaze's flames and nervously holds her in Victory Garden and that isn't the only instance of him being frightened in that series)

About TSR, I definitely agree. Though, I looked into it more before to see if Silver would meekly let Lanolin scold him without talking back in IDW issue 63, and Silver actually does have good scenes in the English localisation! For example, he is shown at least twice to be right on Eggman's tail about what he is doing with Dodon Pa and the Ultimate Energy Engine, and even talks to Eggman once without immediately letting himself be shot down when Eggman insults him.

....But then the localisation put in that fucking Trash Talk Scene and UGH. I looked at the Japanese version, and especially Sonic is just so much more easier to bear there. The thing is, the essence of what the localisation seemed to want to convey in their conversation is absolutely there. Sonic is a bit teasing and competitive, Silver is somewhat awkward and cannot really convey what is bothering him. But Japanese!Sonic, you know, tells Silver multiple times to not worry. That they're friends who haven't seen each other in a while and that he thus would like to race with Silver because he enjoys it. He does joke a bit with Silver's worries, but when Silver expresses frustration he backtracks and goes right back to encouragement once more. None of that dumb "I'm gonna badly beat youuuuu" "I'm gonna make you look sillyyyyyy get your head in the gameeeee" "I'm gonna feed my car to youuuuu", and so on. That's not expressing happiness at being able to race with a friend who hasn't been around in a while, that's just being a smug jerk waving your self-confidence into someone's face who clearly is not interested. And then you continue ragging him on while he tries to talk about his worries, which you keep shooting down in favour of your bragging. Bah. One of English-TSR!Sonic's worst moments, imo. Not helped by Silver's altogether awful responses, like "I'm not hungry, but thanks", and not to mention the "I'm so gonna own you!" "Okay." from the racing start. Like Silv, bruh, you're constantly sneering at and mocking other racers on the track in multiple games, show some bite??? And, as seems to be happening with most of Silver's mischaracterisation by fandom, this one event gets cherrypicked to show that he's just Complete UwU Baby Who Cannot Trash Talk So Cute So Cinnamon Roll If You Look At Him Funny He'll Drown In His Own Tears.

....Yeah. Sigh. Even worse because he's got multiple good moments otherwise.

Anyway, onwards to my other current Silver-related dislike in the Sonic franchise, namely IDW! Because he can indeed be drawn strangely there, and definitely cowering like you said in your ask. Though, a Silver with huge starry eyes and shit when things go right for the heroes for a change is HELLA ooc as well. Give Tangle her stripes and tail back please :/

In my mind, Tangle was similarly starry-eyed in issue 9 as Silver in issue 26, but Silver is WORSE there. In what world is Silver more of a Manic Pixie Dream Genki Girl than Tangle???

And the annoying thing is that also in IDW he's got, in my opinion, great moments! The battle with Zomom in #28 is a no-nonsense, well-coordinated fight between Silver and Whisper wherein Silver can convey what he believes in when he gets jeered at, while showing off some slick psychic moves. In issue 30, Silver gets tons of moments to shine: he's a massive help in Sonic's attempt to reach the final Emerald with Metal Sonic on multiple fronts (carrying the Emeralds, using his powers to block the blows from that gigantic Zavok while not dropping them, getting to Sonic at the very last second so he can turn Super in time, etc.). And even if the Super battle against the gigantic Zavok goes by in mere seconds (which the comic lampshades itself), the scene wherein Sonic and Silver remove the Metal Virus from the world with Silver's PK is one I quite like as well. It shows further good coordination between Sonic and Silver, nobody is being a smug jerk, they know what they should do to save the world and do it smoothly. So also in IDW there are definitely moments to be found where Silver is just his IC self, where I would even go so far as to say that for a good 80% or so in issue 63 he is too.

...But, of course, people only look at the moments wherein he's Being Baby to support the fact that He Is Baby, so there's not a lot of people paying attention to those issues in favour of others that have him far more flanderised and dumb. For example, I quite like Victory Garden because I like the idea Silver would start a garden and seeing Blaze and Silver interact, but it doesn't give much respect for his powers (he can't even carry a bunch of equipment at once, or not slap himself right in the face with it?), throws in an obligatory It's No Use reference because Evan wrote this*, and adds some silly faces and poses here and there on him as well. And there you have it: uwu baby Silver! Not to mention the absolutely awful way Sonic treated him in issue 8, where I'd say the TSR conversation was actually bearable compared to that. Plus the fact Silver is just regularly drawn all throughout the comic as wide-eyed cute boyo in all sorts of goofy kid poses, to the point where Evan actually toned down some of her sketches for #8. (I believe there is a second example when he and Sonic first see Whisper, but Tumblr's search function is shit as always.) So yeah, both the art of IDW and the way Silver is written there tends to be on the meh side in my opinion and furthermore makes him a nice punching bag for everyone else, sigh, and those are the exact moments other fans seem to focus on for their idea of what Silver acts like in favour of actual more IC moments.

I do not know enough about what appears to be one of the root causes of this mischaracterisation of Silver: namely Archie, the stories of the various issues Silver was in, and the fandom's general mindset at the time. But I know enough to realise that Silver was just written plain awfully there, and it bothers me that Silver The Punching Bag (both by comic characters and writers alike, really) from that comic just seems to have gotten carried right over into IDW next. And now we indeed have fans see Silver as a massive cry-baby with half a braincell who won't be able to walk two steps without perishing from something, which is fine if that is how you want to portray him for your fanwork! But it is not what an IC Silver is like, yet especially the comics portray him like that too. I will readily say that Silver seems tough to get down because he's gotten a very 'dual' personality between rude determinist and friendly world-admirer, but the fandom, comic writers, and localisers alike focus far too heavily on that latter part and twist him into someone he simply is not. And since I like seeing both parts of that personality come into play and I do not like Silver being drawn like Tangle (wide-eyed, goofy, Silly Poses Of Enthusiasm) while displaying an altogether awfully unfitting personality (dumb, overly innocent with a complete lack of rudeness or smugness, constantly being set up to be mocked by other characters), I do not like how this characterisation is what has become so pervasive in the fandom's mindset, either.

this is probably unhinged of me, but TSR ch 47 The Truth of a Viewing

strong opening with parallels to Mat's tactics post-being-filled-with-men supporting Siuan's leadership qualities

the slow-rising horror for the reader as you realize how much information she has but both you and she know how little she can do with it. within the opening two paragraphs it's a dread that only ratchets up as the chapter carries on.

the hints to what's to come by the end of the chapter, "Three Sitters for three different Ajahs had proposed holding all plans close in the Hall" and thus ensuring that the general population of Aes Sedai would be unaware that Siuan had been (somewhat) transparent

how thoroughly her one safe space is torn away from her, and still she has the wherewithal to ensure she snaps her box of secrets shut.

layering on insult after insult, shielded and forced to watch the invasion of her chambers, the powers she'd always hoped might free her used to bind her instead

the internal monologue consistently downplaying the situation even as her physical reactions are amped up to the max, and still she's the schemer they make her out to be, running her mouth to give herself time to think and seed doubt in Elaida's party

the slip when Elaida reveals that this is personal. "Do you think I - we - would allow you to destroy the Tower?"

dragged out past her dying Warder and still turning immediately to planning. pushed and stumbling but refusing to lose her footing, still fighting not to show Elaida any emotion no matter what she does to her, even twenty years after that "training" bordering on torture. (the indignity she'll shortly feel in this streak having been broken)

the absolute asshole wording that is "Siuan opened her eyes, stirred, winced, and was still."

waking up stilled and immediately reframing her situation [the luxury of knowing she was still breathing]. another indignity in stripping her bare as they have stripped her of the source. unable to grasp saidar but at least she can grasp the physical pain. always always trying to focus herself, to regain control

trying to speedrun acceptance as she confronts becoming rudderless now, trying to face the bastards on her feet. getting knocked down and picking herself up over and over and over again, resilient, relentless

the response to the Tower breaking that Moiraine will mirror to Egwene in that TFOH chapter

plying Min for information and recalculating, recalculating, reframing, parsing all of it into something approaching meaning

kneeling for Elaida, knowing what must be done no matter if it kills her to do it

realising the oaths don't apply anymore and immediately using that as a tool, as a weapon, trying to internalize it as an advantage

it's just everything I adore about Siuan packed into a single chapter that finds her at her lowest point and tilts her head up towards the distant light of the surface.

Even now, after Elaida has stripped so much from her, Siuan is still buried in layer upon layer of ice and rage and purpose, flailing about beneath it all to try and keep her head above water. As long as she repeats it to herself often it will become truth. There are advantages to this, she just has to find them. It's horrendous, but she can't undo it, so she fights to move past it, fights to move forward, fights to hold herself together. She may have lost this battle, but the war has only just begun.
