“I’m assuming the mission went well?” you smile, feeling Tsu’tey place another soft kiss on your temple.
His chest presses into your back, hands resting gently on your waist, while you’re occupied with peeling the fruits he likes. He was gone for only a few hours but was acting so needy, you start to wonder if anything happened.
“Tsu’tey,” you nudge him for an answer, but he only hums in response, now planting small kisses across your cheek and jaw.
“‘Was good,” he mutters, not wanting to bore you with the details.
“Were you safe?” you try to turn around to examine him, but Tsu’tey grunts, holding you in place.
“Just missed you.”
You guess that there’s something weighing on his mind, but you don’t push him. Tsu’tey often has moments, when all he wants to do is to hold you in his arms and listen to your soothing breathing. Eventually, he’ll give you a few hints about it anyway. So, you just pat his arm lightly and return to the task at hand.
Tsu'tey stands with you in silence for a while longer before finally speaking up.
“Neytiri is showing.”
“I know,” you nod, “It suits her.”
As you struggle to reach for another fruit from the basket, Tsu’tey huffs in annoyance and loosens his grip on you. He takes a step back, hating the distance between your bodies, but decides to allow you to finish your work in peace. You can feel his eyes fixed on you, observing every move you make.
“You’re very quiet today,” you turn around to face him, abandoning your task.
Tsu’tey only shakes his head, disagreeing to voice his concern. You rest your hand on his shoulder, gently pushing him down, until he gives in and kneels on the ground. You crouch down next to him, resting your hand on his thigh.
“Talk to me, tìyawn,” you murmur.
Tsu’tey gazes at your hand in silence. But when you lean in to kiss his cheek, he turns his head, catching your lips with his instead. It’s not long before he snakes his arms around your middle again and pulls your body onto his. You giggle, as he sits you down in his lap, enjoying the closeness between you two.
“Right now?” you quirk your eyebrow at him, knowing exactly where he is leading with this.
Tsu'tey's lips find their way to your neck, and you let out a soft sigh as his warm breath tickles your skin. You tilt your head to the side, giving him better access, and he trails a few more kisses before nuzzling his face into your neck.
“‘Aani said that Ti'ung is with a child too,” he whispers, catching your attention.
The two of you have mated before Eywa almost a year ago but Tsu'tey never pressured you into becoming a mother so soon. Just for a while, all he wanted was to have you all to himself. To enjoy restless nights with you without a worry of hurting you or having to share you with anybody else. The first few times you mated, you watched him struggle, as he was holding off the unbearable pleasure, before pulling his member out of you and releasing into his hand instead. Presumably, it became a thing he did every time, and you’ve grown so used to it, that you never once paid a second thought to it.
He was always so respectful and gentle with you, loving every bit of your body, every sound that would escape your lips. And despite his readiness to move into the next stage of your lives, Tsu'tey never allowed himself to impregnate you without earning your permission first. But what he failed to realize is that while you were trembling underneath him, reaching your orgasm, you were never able to think, let alone speak about wanting him to release inside of you.
“What are you hinting at, Tsu’tey?” you pull slightly back to look into his eyes.
“That it might be nice if, growing up, our child is surrounded by a few good kids,” he answers.
“Well, I’m sure Neytiri’s and Jake’s child is going to be just as good as they are,” you nod, agreeing, “And Aani’s and Ti'ung’s too.”
Tsu’tey hums, grateful that you finish his thoughts for him. That you know him so well, see him through and through. Being a man of a few words, he would often get irritated when others failed to understand his thoughts. But with you, it's different. All he cares about is that you see him for who he is, no one else.
“We need to catch up then, huh?” you grin.
Tsu’tey feels his chest swell with love by the way you look at him. So excited, so desperate to create a life with him. He pulls you in for a kiss, pouring all of his gratitude into it, as his hands reach for the ties of your loincloth. You don’t hesitate to reciprocate his desire, and soon the two of you become lost in each other.

all parts - next part
┌────── ⋆☆⋆ ──────┐
It was all you had dreamed of since you landed on Pandora. To be with the people, to walk beside them. Well, behind them. You weren’t exactly welcome.
You still remembered the day you were chased through the forest with Jake, jumping into the waterfall on nothing but a will to live. You remembered Neytiri jumping in front of you, saving you both, you had never been more thankful and terrified of someone in your life.
You remembered how a group of men on direhorse threw ropes around your feet then continued to lead to the Hometree. It was surreal, to be with them. To live among them. But it wasn’t how you had hoped.
You hoped to meet with them, learn there culture and be able to retell your findings when you returned to your natural form. Yet, it was nothing like that.
It was because of Jake. He was the warrior of the ‘Jarhead’ clan. God, he was so intolerable but yet he was the one person who could understand your struggles of being with the people because he was right there beside you.
But with all you efforts over the years to learn about the Na’vi, it was nothing in comparison to him being tutored by Neytiri.
On the night when the Olo’eyktan decided to keep you both, it was rather a keep the man and his dog. They thought nothing of you, just another sky scientist. So, you weren’t entitled to Neytiri’s teachings, you were entitled to stare from far away and hope that maybe you could gain a bit of knowledge from observing the pair.
That’s what you were doing right now, crouching down hiding behind a lush shrub looking at the two talk to Tsu’tey as Jake sat in a puddle of mud. Maybe you weren’t missing out on too much?
Resting on the balls of your feet and long fingers keeping the bush apart you peered onto the ongoing scene. But Tsu’tey had disappeared. He must’ve gone off in a hurry, it wasn’t like he enjoyed the company of you two aliens anyway.
“You. What is wrong with you?”
“FUCK!” You jumped in fright falling to the ground looking up at an unimpressed Tsu’tey from above you. Your heart felt like it was beating out of your chest as you tried to regain your composure, shying away from the looming figure.
“Go home. You will not embarrass yourself like that there.” You desperately wanted to go back to your human form, but it wasn’t worth it. This, what you were experiencing was ground-breaking to your studies. Plus, Grace would skin you.
Pushing yourself off the ground, brushing the dirt off your grazed knee your stared up at him. How do you even respond to him? He was terrifying. Such a powerful figure it seemed stupid to stand up to him.
You were no Jake. You wouldn’t ridicule the future leader, and you were no ‘warrior’. You were truly just a useless being to them. Nothing to learn, nothing to gain.
“Tsa’hik has medicine for that. Go” You wished your feet would move. God, this is so embarrassing! Are you really paralysed in fear? Because of Tsu’tey. It’s laughable. You tried to move, but all you could do was stare into his unimpressed eyes and wish your link failed so you could escape this hellhole. “Are you ill?”
“No.”
“Then why are you not moving?” Sometimes you were grateful you learnt Na’vi so you could have more in depth and intellectual conversations with the people. This is not what you imagined your conversations would be.
“No. I am.” Tsu’tey scoffed at you. Fuck. What if you just died. Didn’t come back. Met Eywa and apologized for the inconvenience.
“You alien, should go. Fix whatever is wrong with you.” Yet he wasn’t leaving. You pleaded that he would leave in a huff, upset at stupidity. But he still stood there!
“I am afraid of you.” It was a meek whisper. Something you should never of said as your heart beated aggressively against your ribs as if it was trying to escape its chamber.
Tsu’tey let out the heartiest chuckle as he stared down at you. Crapcrapcrapcrapcrap. Oh how you wished your feet weren’t bolted into the ground. He was genuinely amused. This was easily the funniest thing that had happened to him recently. And it was definitely going to be a story he was going to retell later on.
“So are children alien. You are like a child.”
“Thankyou.” You sneered up at him, still too embarrassed to meet his harsh gaze.
“Do you know where Tsa’hik is?” He tilted his head, his long braid falling over his shoulder as he peered down at you.
“I do not.” You tried to shovel down the shakiness in your voice, you could definitely cry right now.
“Of course, you don’t. Because you don’t belong here. I will take you to Tsa’hik. I would do it for a child.” He motioned for you to follow him as he rode off towards the base of the Hometree. “Hurry up alien child!” He laughed at his jokes as he pointed to you as he looked at other Na’vi also giggling at you as well.
What the fuck is your video log going to be today. ‘Got made fun of! Great find!’ This sucked! While Jake is learning the way of the people, you’re the people’s newest comedy act.
Dragging your feet to the Tsa’hiks room you were ushered to sit on a woven colourful mat in the middle of this section of the tree. Adorned in decorative items and many medicines and herbs you found yourself being stared down by Mo’at.
“She grazed her knee falling from a squatting height Tsa’hik.” Tsu’tey still managed to find a way to make fun of you even when he was talking to a superior.
Mo’at scoffed at you, mumbling something under her breath you did catch a few words. But they’re not necessarily for repeating. “How did you fall?” Mo’at’s intimidating voice caught you off-guard. You didn’t think she would speak to you directly.
“I- um. Tsu-. Tsu’tey startled me.” It was an insane struggled to get out, to admit you had a slightly serious graze because the man chuckling behind you scared you shitless.
“Ah.” She couldn’t find it in her to hide her disappointment apparently. Shaking her head, she applied a pungent medicine to your knee. Surprisingly, it didn’t sting the only sensation was that it was particularly cold for a paste that had been sitting in the open. “Maybe it is useful to do some stuff around the village. We do not welcome demons, especially not parasites.”
Parasite? That is what she thought of you. Oh, that’s just lovely. It felt like your stomach decided to go skydiving and take a miles high leap out of your body.
“Send her back. She is parasite, not needed.” Tsu’tey said this sentence in English. He needed you to understand it, it was his every intention to. It hurt for some reason. Well not some reason he had said something incredibly hurtful. But it was so deserved, so justifiable. Didn’t mean it wasn’t incredibly upsetting to hear.
“We cannot. Jake is an odd dreamwalker. A new demon. She must stay as he does, it is Eywa’s will.” He was silenced at the mention of Eywa. No one would question her intentions not even yourself. “She must learn. You will teach.”
“What?!” Tsu’tey voice boomed out echoing throughout the hollow tree. Is this how Jake felt that night? Because the taste of bile was growing in your throat as you stared at the huffing man. Nononono. He cannot teach, he’ll slit your throat the minute he has the chance.
“She will not be a hunter, no warrior. But she can learn the ways of the people. Teach her Tsu’tey do not question my decisions young one.”
“….yes Tsa’hik…”
Times like these you wished you could go back to your human form. So that your emotions wouldn’t be so easily understood with the swish of your tail and movement of your ears. Still sitting on the floor of the Tsa’hik’s area your ears were pressed against your head and tail swishing quite frequently.
“Go to the river to wash off the paste soon. It will stain your skin.” Mo’at told your before you were being harshly stared at by Tsu’tey. You were yet to understand the way Na’vi must telepathically communicate. It wasn’t even a millisecond after Mo’at finished that she had gave Tsu’tey the look to take you to the river.
You just wished you could understand those looks as well. “Come now. We walk.” He was so assertive it was frightening, the way he commanded you with a single order, you were so respectful of his place in the clan. It did make him like you slightly more than Jake.
“Do not kill her.” Mo’at said harshly to the tall man as you felt that bile rise to your throat again. Kill. What a word!
“I did not plan on it.” Tsu’tey smirked as he wandered off expecting you to follow but you didn’t. You just stared at Mo’at for reassurance. A simple nod to say ‘Yes! Big scary man won’t murder you!’ and she must’ve sensed your desperation.
Mo’at gave a curt nod and ushered for you to go with him with a flick of her hand. With the reassurance of the Tsa’hik you walked with Tsu’tey. Well, behind Tsu’tey to the river.
Every step was awkward. The past on your knee was starting to dry and made cracking noises every time you bent your knee. The crunch of the leaves under both of your heavy feet were the only conversation between the two of you. Eventually, after the short walk. Though it felt long due to the silence. Was finished at the sound of the flourishing waterfall meeting your ears.
It was so powerful, yet so beautiful. It reminded you of something. But nothing was coming to mind so you decided to just focus on the rushing sound as you ended your journey.
“Well done demon. You made it.” His deep voice rumbled in his chest, he thought he was hilarious.
“Thankyou.” You knew it wasn’t a compliment from him, but what else were you to say. Jake would of found a better comeback but you couldn’t.
“You are funny demon.” He said it so nonchalantly but to you it felt as if your heart bursts into a million butterflies. A compliment from a Na’vi felt so special, you felt slightly appreciated. And for it to be from Tsu’tey made it 100 times more meaningful considering how much distaste he has for you and Jake.
“Thankyou Tsu’tey.” Your genuine smile was one he had not seen yet. It was a new expression. Obviously, it looked familiar as it was on the body of a Na’vi but there was something so bright about your smile he couldn’t shake off. It was just something weird he assumed. Demons do weird things especially when they’re in bodies they’re not meant to be in.
“The paste must come off. Or else your knee will be yellow for weeks.” You nodded and hopped into the water. It was about knee height, so you had to bend to move the water over your knee completely.
“Is there a specific way to get it off. It is a foreign medicine to me.”
“It’s foreign because you don’t belong here.” Tsu’tey was just so harsh with his words, they were said with so much power, yet he felt sincere. It was odd. So odd. “Give me your leg.”
“What do you mean? HEY!” Tsu’tey had grabbed your injured leg yanking it into his arms making you twist and fumble trying not to go headfirst into the water.
His long fingers wrapped around your shin as he used his other hand to cup water into his hand and covering the yellow paste. Every time you fumbled trying to balance he let a ‘tsk’ leave his mouth. His fingertips felt as if they were being burnt into your skin as he gripped your leg tightly.
“Stop moving. I am getting the paste off.” He looked harshly into your eyes, his golden iris’ staring straight into your own.
“I’m trying!” it was an exacerbated statement. Tsu’tey saw the way your ears flicked down and you tensed all the muscles in your abdomen to try and stay still.
He felt a pound of his heart call out to him to not be so harsh. But why? You were nothing but a demon. A complacent one, but still a demon. You were better than Jake in his books. You listened stayed out of trouble, didn’t hang out with his future mate. But you were so odd. Nothing like any of the other demons. You were too complacent, too shy, too fearful. It was odd. Maybe that’s why his heart pounded.
With a final scrub the paste was gone and he let you leg down gently, an abrupt change to the quick and harsh picking up of your leg before. “Thankyou Tsu’tey.” He simply hummed in reply giving you a curt nod. This wave of confidence had overcome you. It was like you felt dizzy with courage. “Tsu’tey.”
The way you said his voice was weird to him. It was pronounced so clearly as if it was the only word you had learnt to say in his language. “Yes?”
“I know that..uh never mind.” The confidence vanished as soon as he stared into your eyes once again. His whole body facing towards you, his mind and soul focused on the words coming out of your mouth. It was too intimidating especially now as he waited for you to say more.
“Speak. What do you know?” His deep voice was memorizing, the way his chest rose proudly every word he spoke. He was so intriguing.
“I know that you don’t like me… and that I do not belong here. But I would like to help, I don’t want to be a p-parasite.” The word parasite stung on your tongue, and it was obvious how Tsu’tey winced at the word as well.
Truthfully, he regretted saying it so clearly to you. He only regretted when he saw the way your tail swished and the shine in your eyes. Maybe that’s why he felt crazy. Maybe that’s why he felt kind towards you. Maybe that’s why he agreed so fast.
“Only because you are smart, not stupid like Jakesully. I will teach you demon.” He reached out to grip onto your shoulder. It was a moment you don’t think you’d ever forget. The way his fingers held tightly onto you, his eyes looked so sincere and the usual scowl on his face had disappeared and turned in a stern look on promise.
This was the look of friendship, of teaching, you were about to learn the way of the people.

Tsu’tey looks over at the aftermath of the raid, some warriors were able to get out alive but some weren’t so lucky. He walks over to his ikran ready to mount him but he looks over to your empty ikran, his chest starts to tighten as he raises his hand to his neck and presses the button on his communication device.
“Yawne, where are you?” he speaks into the communication device. When you don’t answer, he presses the button again as if the first time, he was doing it wrong. “Tiyawn, can you hear me? Are you okay?” Still no answer.
He takes a deep breath trying not to think of the worst outcome. He rushes back onto the battlefield looking at all the bodies that were spread out across the ground. “Please be okay,” He repeats in his head as he searches for you. He doesn’t want to think that there was a possibility that you were gone, if he did then that would mean he would be truly alone in this world.
After losing Sylwanin, he didn’t think he would find love again but then there was you, a strong warrior that stole his attention, he tried not to act on those feelings but the time he spent training you, hanging out with you in his free time, seeing your angelic smile that always made his day better. By then he just knew he couldn’t ignore it any longer and courted you before any guy could snatch you up.
When you accepted his advances, he felt like he was the happiest man alive, he thought this to be his second chance at love and he wasn’t about to take it for granted. He starts to worry as he doesn’t seem to find you anywhere and tears start to form in his eyes as he begins to think of the thought that you might be dead. “She has to be okay… she just has to be,” he lets out a deep breath as his tail drooped sadly.
He clenches his fists as he fights the tears back, "I just got you in my life, I can’t lose you, great mother, please… I beg of you…" His ears perk up as he hears a distant cough and he looks around hoping for it to come from you.
He starts to run toward the direction the cough came from and when he does he sees you trapped under a piece of metal, his eyes widen in fear and he immediately rushes over, easily picking up the scrap metal and throwing it to the side.
He examines your state, you had wounds that were placed on your stomach and arms but nothing too serious, he drops to his knees carefully taking you into his arms, and softly embraces you as he silently thanks Eywa causing a small groan to escape from your mouth.
“Oops, sorry tiyawn,” he adjusts you softly in his arms to make you more comfortable, he places his lips on your forehead giving it a kiss before looking at your beautiful eyes.
“Tsu’tey, I’m so glad to see you,” you slowly raise your hand to caress his cheek, and a small smile appears on your face, he takes your hand kisses the inside of your palm, and holds it tightly as if he let go, you’d disappear.
“You scared me, tiyawn,” the tears that he held back finally spilling down his face “I’m never letting you go again, Nga yawne lu oer,” he kisses your forehead again making you smile but wince when you make a slight move.
“Alright, let's get you back so you can get treated.” He carefully picks you up and carries you in bridal style as he slowly makes his way to his ikran, again thanking eywa for bringing you back to him.

Hiiiiiiiiii! Can I make a funny T'su'tey request?
Im sure you know the lilo and stitch meme?
Tumblr media
the idea is after neytiri and jake mate and become the Tashik and Olo'eyktan, tsu'tey has the freedom to pick a mate, but struggles to find genuine love. So he pleads to ewya for a mate who is "calm, sweet, kind, gentle, soft". But instead ewya gives him the exact opposite XD.
Tumblr media
Pair: Tsu'tey x Human reader (why not <3)
Warning: None, tsu'tey being cute. Reader being a brat.
AVATAR MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
"Eywa…it is me again" says tsu'tey as he sits in the spirit tree. Sitting praying with all his heart. "I know I have asked this many times…but could you send me a being who loves me, someone who is kind. The best person you have…someone who will stay with me and not run away from me" says tsu'tey. After all this time, he was pretty sure he was ready to find his ideal partner. When he was younger, he used to be more relaxed about it, even falling in love with sylwanin. After that terrible event at grace's school, tsu'tey's whole life changed. He had now lost the love of his life and had to marry the younger sister of his now deceased beloved.
When jake came to the clan, it was also a big change for him. His whole world changed, and many bad things happened, but also some good things happened in that period. He no longer had to be with neytiri, not that he didn't like her…but they were like siblings. He felt more comfortable now that he knew she had her mate, and he was free. A year had passed since the confrontations with the people in the sky, and he felt it was time to start again. But everything seems to be going against him. No na'vi woman is fulfilling her standards…they're all wonderful. Amazing to be honest…but with none of them he feels that connection that he is supposed to feel when he sees her and knows that she is the one. He used to go pray to eywa to help him and light the way. He knew he was fooling himself, because she didn't work that way…but he had to try. Jake Sully had told him that Eywa had helped him and listened to him that time, why wouldn't she help a member of pure sage like him?
He took a deep breath and closed his eyes in surrender, he felt stupid. Very stupid… sitting down for the fourth time this week. "this is useless" tsu'tey thinks to himself, as he gets up from the ground. And disconnects himself from one of the tree's tentacles. Wiping his knees a little with his hands, he suppers and grunts with disapproval. Maybe he had to resign himself to the fact that he would never find his ideal mate…he would be alone for eternity. Tsu'tey didn't usually show his sensitive side with anyone, but this was affecting him a lot. Seeing the couples together….damn it, was mating season and he was alone. He starts to leave the tree and begin his walk home, again he was going alone to his hut. Walking slowly, lost in his thoughts. He was so immersed in his own being, that he barely heard the strange noises coming from above him.
It wasn't until he heard a loud noise that he stopped in his tracks and looked up. Out of nowhere and as if it was something sent from the sky. He saw a girl fall from a branch. How the hell did she get there? He doesn't know. And why is she here? He was going to find out. The girl fell very hard to the ground, and started moaning. "Shit…that!!! That hurt!!!" you speak, as you get up from the ground sitting on the wet jungle floor. You hadn't noticed tsu'tey's presence, so you were no stranger to being surrounded by tall blue men. So you are still very distracted by your punch, while the man is looking at you with wide eyes. This had taken him by surprise, he just stayed still watching you settle in and moan. You look up, making eye contact with him. "And you don't plan to help?" you speak, sounding rather haughty, how could you be so spoiled if you didn't even know each other. Tsu'tey says nothing and continues to stare at you quietly. "Aren't you going to talk? Ashhh hey YOU BLUE MONKEY HELP ME GET UP, I CAN'T FEEL MY BUTT" You yell, making gestures with your hands. Tsu'tey was in a state of shock, he knew humans were nasty, but you were on another level. No one in his entire life had ever spoken to him like that.
"Did you just call me blue monkey?" tsu'tey repeats what you just said, making sure he heard right. "Yes…blue monkey, are you deaf? With those big ears I doubt it" you speak, as you get up from the ground. You looked sore, your legs were shaking, the fall had been very hard and high. So your body wobbles a little, just as you were about to fall back to the ground. You feel a big hand holding you by your forearm. Tsu'tey holds you in place, observing you and analyzing the figure in front of him. You were a woman, you seemed to be almost his age. But you did not look like the other women he had seen in the human camp. Your hair was messy, your clothes were light, revealing more skin. And you had a few scratches across your face and arms. Where had you gone? "My name is Tsu'tey…nice to meet you" speaks tsu'tey, he had manners..so he was going to introduce himself properly. You feel him slowly let go of you as you regain your balance. "mmm your name is ugly" you speak, looking at him again as you had a cheeky grin on your face.
"Have you no manners or what?" tsu'tey sounds annoyed, moving a little away from you. You laugh, you knew you were teasing him and you really didn't care. "Yes…yes I do. But it's boring" you speak, as you start looking for something on the floor. "My name is Y/N" you speak, ignoring as tsu'tey approaches you again. I was analyzing you carefully, I had never seen you before, and if you were one of those bad humans? They were all supposed to be gone, so who were you. Tsu'tey kneels down to get closer, while he sees you still looking for whatever it is on the ground. He was getting so close, he's barely 1 foot away from you. "could you give me space… you strange thing" you speak, nudging him by his shoulder causing tsu'tey to come down from the clouds. And he will be back to his senses. "Who are you? I have never seen you before?" he speaks, you turn to look at him. He had his face to one side and his ears twitched with curiosity.
"You're not one of the bad guys, are you?" you look at tsu'tey, and laugh out loud. This one looks somewhat confused, and waits for you to respond. "No silly…" you speak up, ignoring him again. "But I've never seen you in that thing that calls it a lab" tsu'tey had to know who you were.
"I am the systems manager…I am not a scientist" you speak. Tsu'tey only understands half of what you just said, so she waits for you to explain more clearly. "Systems?" tsu'tey asks.
"Yeah…systems, these things (you touch the oxygen mask) and computers. Nothing special, I'm just trapped on this planet" you speak, now looking at the man in front of you. "Trapped? You wanted to go back to your homeland?" tsu'tey looked like a little boy, he didn't know why he was so curious about you. You were a damn home destroying human, why did he have to ask you all these things.
You sit on the floor, exhausted. You couldn't find your monitor, your back hurt and you were tired. "I can't go back…so I stayed here" you say, while trying to give yourself a self-massage on your back. "You are bad…and that's why you can't go back?" tsu'tey now copies your previous movements and sits on the floor. A few feet away from you. " Well if stealing 3 Walmart gift cards is being bad..well yes" you speak up. … … … "What is Walm?" tsu'tey was about to start talking, but you make a signal for silence. "Forgotten… I don't say anything. I have no one to wait for me back on earth. So I decided to stay here to help the team" you speak. "But you don't like the na'vi?" speaks tsu'tey.
"My area is technology…not wildlife" you speak, tsu'tey stands up straight. Aouch that had hurt him. He can see that you are still in some discomfort, because you begin to make a few pained noises." And what were you doing up there?" asks tsu'tey, as he sees your eyes move upwards. "I wanted to look for a signal…I wanted to see some videos of me…of my brothers" you speak, he can notice the sadness in your voice. He had no idea what the 'videos' were but he guessed it was something important. "I'm sorry" tsu'tey says, causing you to look up and look into his eyes. You had very pretty eyes, he sees you chuckle a little. And you look down again, now looking at the ground.
There was something about you that attracted his attention, if he felt lost. You looked, and he could sense that you were lost. Like you weren't quite right, for some reason he was worrying about you. And only 15 minutes ago he had met you. The silence was noticeable, you both just lay there…keeping each other company. It wasn't until a seed from the spirit tree slowly approached your body. Tsu'tey noticed their presence and followed the seed with his eyes. Watching as the creature moved from side to side, slowly falling towards your bare knee. It stares at you as you look at it, somewhat surprised but calm. He was about to speak until …..
slaps
"Are you crazy?" shouts tsu'tey lifting your hand from the seed. You had crushed it, you almost broke it. "that was going to sting me!!!" you shout too, watching as he takes your hand and lifts it carefully. Watching as the seed floats back up and flies towards your nose. Tapping it, you bring your free hand to your nose to touch it. "What is that?" you are still surprised. You've never seen anything like this before…you never used to leave the areas you were allowed to. "It is a seed from the spirit tree…they are part of eywa" says tsu'tey seriously. You had heard something about this tree and this eywa. "And it was going to sting me? Those things itch" you begin to speak, tsu'tey still holding your hand. "It won't sting you…eywa doesn't hurt. She wants to communicate" says tsu'tey.
"Well I don't want anything from her…besides I think I was going to get itched" you speak, crossing your arms. Tsu'tey snorts a little, ahhh you were unbearable. "Well…help me get back to the human zone. I have no idea where I am" you speak. Tsu'tey takes a deep breath and gets up from the ground. "Come…I will guide you" he speaks. Watching as you quickly get up jumping up and down in happiness. But you stop, and hold your back. You seemed to be in pain. You both set off to where the village was, the human area was not far from the village. So the direction was the same. Tsu'tey couldn't help but notice how your posture changed every 2 minutes the more you kept walking. "Are you in pain?" speaks tsu'tey. "A little…well a lot" you speak while touching your back.
"I know someone who might be able to help with that. Sure, if you want?" tsu'tey gives you a look, hoping for an answer. He hears you sigh. "It's okay" you speak, you had no choice…in the lab there wasn't much equipment to soothe the pain you were feeling. And you had heard that Navi medicine was very good, so you accepted the help. It wasn't long before you arrived at the navi village, and as you entered you noticed how everyone started to look at you. You were not a familiar face, to be honest it was the first time you were in the village. You had never been there before.
You had come to pandora 2 years before the altercations, and you were from grace's technical support team. You were basically grace's baby, and she loved you so much. You became close friends with Jake and supported your team's cause. You had stayed at the base with max, providing support from the inside. When the humans were returned to earth, you stayed. You had no one to wait for you at home…you were alone. And now you only had your team left, because you had also lost grace. You were never interested in what the Navi were doing, you knew some things. But you weren't aware of everything, like max, norm and jake. But now…everything was new to you. You see how several Navi kids come up to you and touch your clothes. And they laugh. "Hello" you speak, in a low voice. As you followed the annoying navi man who was going to help you. "There it is" says tsu'tey. Pointing to a hut, you could see it was quite crowded.
You both approach the hut, and enter. It was dark, but cozy. And it had a great aroma of medicinal herbs. It wasn't annoying, it was calming. Mo'at looks up as she sees tsu'tey enter, she was going to greet him but is surprised to see who accompanied him. A human with tsu'tey? Something was going on. "Mo'at…we need your help" tsu'tey speaks. Making a sign to you to come closer, you had been standing in the door frame waiting. You were a little scared, everything was new to you. You approach, and feel tsu'tey's hand holding your head. "She fell out of a tree, now her back hurts a lot" says the man, moving you a little to get closer to the woman. You laugh widely, while mo'at grabs your arm to get closer to her. "And what were you doing in a tree….girl what's wrong with you" says mo'at turning you over to examine what you had, pulling up your shirt. "My whole back hurts" you speak, but let out a groan. When mo'at touches the large bruise on your back. "Here it is…look" mo'at says, as you watch tsu'tey reach over to look at your back.
You move and pull down your shirt. "You pervert!!!" you yell a little, mo'at had pulled your shirt way up. You were dying of embarrassment and now he was going to see you up close. Or not…not that. "What's wrong with you…come HERE" mo'at says, grabbing your arm making you sit up. You were small, so it was easy to handle you. Tsu'tey sits in one of the corners of the hut, watching mo'at heal you and take care of you. He laughs a little, watching you fidget and complain about everything. He even watches as mo'at taps you on the head. You were chaos, but chaos that captivated him. After a while, mo'at ordered you to lie down, on one of the mats she had. You had to wait for the paste to dry, plus it wouldn't hurt to relax a little. So she lays you on your stomach, and you close your eyes.
Mo'at approaches tsu'tey, who is still staring at everything with fascination. "That girl…that's a mess" says mo'at in a mocking tone. "eywa…she touched that girl" says tsu'tey while still looking at your figure. Mo'at falls down for a moment, and turns to talk to the boy. "I know…I could feel it. And it has to do with you" says the woman, tsu'tey looks at mo'at in surprise. "With me?" asks tsu'tey, what did he have to do with you, he was just helping you. "mmmm yes….eywa gave you what you were asking for, that's what I could interpret" says mo'at, as he sees tsu'tey's eyes widen. "What's wrong with you?" mo'at is getting worried, tsu'tey was in a state of shock. What did mo'at just say? Eywa sent him…no no no no.
"Mo'at…I asked for a mate" says tsu'tey. Mo'at is surprised and gives him a look at the lying figure of Y/N. "I don't know what to tell you son…I don't know" mo'at doesn't know what to tell him or do, this is very strange. Even for her.
Night came quickly, and tsu'tey decided to stay and watch over you. He could not ignore what mo'at had told him. How could it be possible? Was it possible? He sees you start to get up, sitting up a little on the mat. You were going to touch your eyes, but you bump into the oxygen mask. "shit" you speak softly, as you listen and watch as tsu'tey sits down next to you. "That word I've heard so much these past few years" tsu'tey says in a mocking tone of voice. You roll your eyes, and decide to ignore him. "Feeling better?" asks the man, you turn so you can answer. And you can see how he was sitting. His feet were crossed, his hands were holding his feet nervously, and his tail was wagging from side to side. He looked adorable. "Yes…thank you" you speak, shifting your gaze quickly.
There was a small silence, until he began to speak. "Mo'at… she told me that the seeds of the spititus tree had chosen you" Tsutey says.
"To sting me? Yes" you speak, Tsu'tey sighs, laughs a little. "No…she chose you to" tsu'tey pauses, waiting for you to make a move. He can see, as you look at him slowly. "For what?" you ask. He takes your hand, and gives it a squeeze. You stiffen slightly, and look straight into his eyes. They were bright yellow. "For me." You move your hand, so that tsu'tey releases it. And you move away a little, moving hurts your back a little. So you stop, and tsu'tey tries to help me. "Easy…I" tsu'tey starts to speak, but he feels you push him away. "Don't touch me…you weird blue monkey" you yell a little.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you" tsu'tey says, moving a little away from you. Leaving you more room. He wasn't going to give up. Tsu'tey knew that eywa had chosen you for a reason, maybe you were the one who was going to help him find your ideal mate. "Yes…well you did, you idiot. And if you touch me again I'm going to poke your eye out with my own teeth" you threaten him a little, lying on your side with your back to him. He laughs a little, maybe it was you he had to find.

when tsu’tey entered the shared hut, he watched you with a look that could only be described as a predator watching his prey. once wrong move and he would pounce.
as you stared up into his golden eyes, you could only see need swirling in them. despite the lingering weight of his duty on his shoulders, his eyes held the want you knew where echoing back from yours.
in an instant the two of you were meeting in the middle, mouth slamming into one another as quick hands tore clothing from one another. as your lips fought for dominance, you could feel the need radiating between the two of you. eager hands roamed across each other‘s bodies, as tsu’tey slowly walked you backward to the pile of shared furs.
before you had the chance to descend to the ground, he slowly kneeled before you.
“my yawne let me please you, I want to make you feel good,” he spoke. large, calloused hands slid delicately across your waist as he kissed and licked and sucked at your neck.
Unable to keep your hands idle, you slowly caressed his shoulders. Marveling at the muscles that seem to twitch under your touch. Your hands settled at the nape of his neck, and as you gently played with his braid he let out a small groan. it was then that tsu’tey began:
“my beautiful girl” a kiss to your neck.
“so smart and strong” a kiss to your collarbone.
“light of my life, blessed by Eywa” a nip at your breast.
“the one made for me” a quick lick across your peaked nipple.
your whimpers and moans gradually increased as tsu’tey worked his way down your body. tracing the stripes that littered your abdomen with his teeth, teasing you beyond belief. heat spread throughout you as he descended to the place you wanted him most, but you had the entire night for that.
slowly you pushed him away and settled yourself on the ground before him. placing a gentle kiss above his heart, you felt the hitch in his breathing as he pulled you onto his lap. when you felt his hard cock resting between your thighs, you briefly forgot your plan. with a subtle roll of your hips, both of you sucked in a harsh breath but there would be time for that later.
returning your hands to their precious position, you began to knead the taut skin of his neck and shoulders. feeling his body relax from the pressure, tsu’tey burrowed his face in the crook of your neck to bask in the comfort you were giving him.
“my beloved tsu’tey, my strong warrior. thank you for providing for the clan. for taking care of us. our mighty olo’eyktan. but let me care for you tonight, my mate.  let me please you too,” each sentence punctuated by the slight roll of your hips. each roll of your hips leaving you both panting.
tsu’tey shifts you ever so slightly in his lap and that’s when you feel his throbbing head against the entrance of your cunt. without asking you quickly grabbed his queue and connected it. a shiver of lust  licked up your spine as the two of you stared into one another’s eyes, no question needed as he pulled you harshly down onto him. entering you in on quick movement. the slow teasing of the evening gone as he withheld the primal urge to fuck you.
hands grabbing and scratching at his shoulders you were so overwhelmed by the feeling of both of your pleasures coursed through the bond. Tsu’tey pounded into you harshly from below, his strong arms lifting you easily to get the depth he wanted.
the small hut was filled with grunts and the lewd sound of slapping flesh. and soon, too soon, you could feel your orgasm approaching. you knew he could feel it too when he slowed his thrusts and smirked upwards at you, “not yet my heart, we have all night.”

tsu’tey - face sitting
content: face sitting , eating out , fem!reader & tsu’tey
his fingers dug into your waist, tongue working tirelessly at your swollen clit while you sat with a contorted yet satisfied face above him. your hips shamelessly bucked into his face, grinding your cunt on his face while tsu’tey lapped up every inch of you. his hot tongue flicking between your folds and occasionally slipping inside of your hot hole. your fingers found their wait to his braided hair, desperately bringing his face closer, yet it wasn’t even possible unless you intended on suffocating the large man beneath you. “so good, so so good.” you whined, mouth agape as your shoulders tensed from the bundle of nerves being toyed with in your mates mouth. tsu’tey focused on your clit, sucking on it while his tongue flicked at it, holding your hips in place when you attempted to pull away. the soon pleasureful encounter turned into an overwhelming attack on your cunt. “m’gonna cum, please, no more!” you moaned out, feeling your hole clench each time he ruthlessly groaned into your cunt. coming undone on his face, you covered your mouth to suppress what you could only assume would’ve been a bloodcurdling cry. tsu’tey lapped up your arousal, taking his time in cleaning the white liquid away from your inner thighs and his own lips. his hands rubbed soothing circles into your body, all over your stomach leading down to your thighs. “good girl, such a good, pretty girl.” he praised, giving your clit a small kiss as if apologizing for his brutal stimulation from earlier.

THE GREAT WAR I: bruised like violets — tsu’tey
Tumblr media
— when accompanying dr. augustine, norm spellman, and jake sully to explore the pandoran forest, you and sully become separated from the group. you barely survive the night before a na’vi woman rescues you.
INCLUDES fem!reader, dreamwalker!reader. mentions of tom’s (jake’s twin) medical history and death + his (purely platonic! brotherly!) relationship with reader, near death experiences. 3.7k words.
NOTE my knuckles were WHAT? 🎤 for the sake of this fic and my sanity, let us pretend time dilation is not a thing because that complicates all sense of logic in this fic’s timeline.
SERIES MASTERLIST | part ii
Tumblr media
The familiar darkness of the link unit’s space shrouds you as you open your eyes, mind still reeling despite your countless ventures in your Avatar. Pushing the link’s cover open, you slowly sit up, wiping the sweat lining your forehead.
Dr. Max Patel greets you with a clipboard in hand.
“Grace is waiting for you.”
Your eyebrows jump. “Did she see me and Txur’ii shoot Sari seeds at the other kids again?”
Dr. Patel steps back, gasping, pointing an accusatory finger at you. “You said you’d stop doing that!”
“They started picking on him again!”
Txuri’ii is the Na’vi kid you almost plowed into the first time you tested your Avatar. He’s smaller compared to other Na’vi boys his age; a little thinner than usual too. It’s the reason you didn’t immediately see him that first time. He’s grown to be the source of entertainment for the other Na’vi kids, picking on him and bullying him.
When you learned of this, you dragged the kid and gathered all uncollected Sari seeds you could find. Borrowing two straws from the lab, you then hid behind the bushes as you preyed on Txur’ii’s tormentors.
You showed him as you stuffed the Sari seeds in your mouth and brought the straw to your lips. As the tallest of the bullies turns his back in your direction, you blow a seed through the straw, hitting the kid on his nape.
Txur’ii’s delighted squeak almost gave away your hiding spot.
One time, Dr. Augustine caught you and Txur’ii, and she berated you like a little kid when you got back in the lab.
You jump down the link unit, fixing your rumpled up shirt. You bid Dr. Patel goodbye, squashing down your smile with a finger to your lips and an obnoxious “shh.”
There’s a familiar face in Dr. Augustine’s vicinity. You stop short in your tracks, squinting your eyes as if that will help you understand the situation better.
You glide your palms over the edges of tables as you wade closer to where he’s talking with Dr. Augustine and Spellman in a wheelchair.
Last you heard, he’d been caught in a mugging incident. No one wanted to talk to you about it and the rumors you’ve heard said he was in a coma.
You suppose those were that — rumors, since he’s here, in the flesh, right in front of you. But what the hell happened?
“Tommy?”
You seem to have interrupted Dr. Augustine’s litany. All three of them turn their heads toward you and you get a perfect view of his face. He looks so different; definitely a lot more mature with the scruff. With your eyes trained on Tommy, you don’t see Spellman’s forlorn gaze as the realization dawns upon him.
“It’s — Jake, actually,” Tommy says. He offers a hand to you. “Jake Sully.”
Jake Sully.
Your eyes flit back to the head scientist, noting the way her eyes are quite softer than usual. Her cigarette hangs forgotten between her fingers.
“Another Sully?” you murmur. You recall Tommy mentioning a twin brother back when you were still on Earth but never meeting him in person.
He has exactly the same features as him but he doesn’t have Tommy’s calm and friendly aura. You don’t know if that’s the reason he kind of irks you suddenly or it’s something else.
You prop your hands to your waist, looking around. “Where’s Tommy? Has he recovered?” He hasn’t returned your video calls. Just last week, you tried contacting him again, hoping he’s woken up. All you received was an automated response, which made sense if he was traveling halfway through the solar system in cryo, though you would have preferred if he sent you a little heads up.
Jake Sully’s eyebrows reconnect, quizzically looking at the two scientists before saying, “Tommy’s dead.”
A sigh is caught in your throat. You want to ask him to repeat that but if you once again hear what you thought you just heard, you don’t know how you’ll be able to take it.
“Right.” You clear your throat, swallowing the lump that’s making your eyes burn. “Yeah, of course, I knew that.”
The sarcasm makes the dents in his forehead deeper, tilting his head to the side as he watches you.
“How do you—?”
“I gotta get back,” you suddenly announce, already walking away. You don’t bother sparing them another glance as you walk out of the laboratory, a lone tear trailing down your cheek. You’re quick to put your exopack on, a humorless chuckle escaping your lips at the betrayal choking you the way not even the Pandoran air could.
Tumblr media
You’re evasive of the other scientists for the past week. Even in your Avatar form, you avoid any interaction with Dr. Augustine and other Avatar drivers.
Their silence about Tommy’s death makes something ugly curl in your stomach. You haven’t seen him since you were 14. Your stubborn mind refuses to accept what Jake Sully said about Tommy because that is just impossible. If anyone deserves to live the longest life they could on this godforsaken moon, or even back there on Earth, it would have been Tommy.
Tommy, who you basically grew up with. Despite being under the Colonel’s wing, there still wasn’t much to life. It was only then that Tommy started hanging out with you did you come out of your shell.
“Y/N!”
Dr. Patel’s familiar voice cuts through your peace. He jogs over to you, worn clipboard in hand. You don’t think he has ever put that thing down. It looks three seconds away from disintegrating.
“Grace is looking for you.”
You say nothing but follow the scientist back to the lab. Inside, you see Jake Sully, Dr. Augustine, and Spellman huddled together.
Dr. Augustine greets you before gesturing towards Sully. “Marine’s coming with us.”
You raise your eyebrows, making an effort to not look at any of them.
“For the research,” she adds. “Norm’s coming too.”
You say nothing as you move and get ready, settling in your own unit. You see Spellman give Dr. Augustine a withering look and you roll your eyes.
To your left is the other Sully’s link unit. You watch as he methodically hauls himself up the machine, lifting his upper body first before hooking his arms under his knees to position his legs.
As you settle and close your eyes, you wonder how he ended up like that.
Tumblr media
Spellman’s excited chatter grates at your ears. Tommy used to be like that. It was what you bonded over in the first place. And usually, you’d be more than happy to be out here with Dr. Augustine but you’ve been off-kilter ever since Jake Sully ceremoniously dropped the news.
The forest of Pandora is still a wonder to you despite residing here for the past six years. Though Dr. Augustine had been here much longer than you have, her stacks of files are endless about the Pandoran flora and fauna. It seems like the moon spits out new species every single day.
You huff as the two scientists crouch over a braid of roots, injecting a needle to see the synapses transmit on the small screen Spellman holds. You turn around and realize Sully is nowhere to be found.
Your company is too preoccupied with their discovery so you leave them be, following the ruffles of footsteps against fallen leaves. Pulling back a giant leaf, it reveals Jake Sully tapping away on a bunch of Helicoradian plants.
You don’t make yourself known, watching from the sidelines as a smile spreads across the man’s face. Sully is more… tolerable, you’d say, in his Avatar form. Though the aura you cannot place is still emanating off him, he also has that air of innocence.
You startle as the walls of Helicoradian vanish from his ministrations and instead reveal a crash of Hammerhead Titanotheres, one of which notices your acquaintance and releases a loud cry. They’re like giant rhinoceros, a spattering of blue and purple with thick armor.
You curse under your breath, stepping forward to get closer to him but still hidden from the animal.
“Don’t shoot!” you bark when you notice him grip his gun, finger on the trigger. “Don’t you dare shoot, Sully! That’s got armor thicker than your skull.”
The Titanotheres rakes its foot on the forest floor before charging, letting out another cry, leaving a flurry of dust in its wake. You’re helpless and frozen on your spot as Jake Sully stands his ground, leveling the giant’s cry with a shout of his own.
This seems to deter the animal, skidding to a stop. You think it whimpers. Sully is as surprised as you.
“You son of a bitch!” he spits. He huffs out a laugh and you grimace at the air of arrogance surrounding him. He spews out some more nonsense as the Titanotheres cowers and scurries away… until you hear something worse than a Titanotheres.
Behind Jake Sully stands a Thanator. Its cry pierces the air, sending shivers down your spine.
“Okay, now, what do I do?” The marine asks, gauging the animal. “What do I do?”
Oh, you’d beg Eywa to bring that Titanotheres back.
“Jesus fucking Christ,” you grit out. “Run!”
Jake Sully runs, abandoning all sense of dignity as he sprints — toward you. The Thanator charges and chases Sully and you have no choice but to run too, unless you want to be a predator’s lunch. You hear a distant, “what the hell is going on?” from Dr. Augustine as you run past her and a wide-eyed Spellman.
In your head, you’re cursing Sully in the darkest pits of hell. You are not fit for running. Your lungs strain as you fight to breathe, legs already aching and you pray to all the gods you know that your ankles will not give out on you this time.
“Shit, shit, shit, shit,” Sully chants. The Thanator growls and you think you can feel it breathing just behind your neck.
“There!” Sully points to an uprooted tree. You don’t question his decision, partly because you don’t have a choice. The two of you burrow under the thick roots, dirt on your hands and knees as you try to crawl further down the shallow hole.
The animal roars, sending a giant claw in your direction. You try not to scream as the roots practically disintegrate on its assault, a shower of wood falling over your heads. Jake Sully tugs on your hand, moving out of your hiding spot and taking off again.
“This is your fault,” you wheeze out, greens and blues flying by your peripheral. “Stupid shit.”
He doesn’t hear you or maybe chooses to ignore you. You don’t care. If you weren’t on the brink of death, you’d kill Jake Sully with your bare hands.
“We gotta jump!” He shouts over his shoulder.
Though there is a giant deadly animal chasing your asses, you skid to a stop, making the marine stumble.
“No.”
He ignores you again, pulling on your wrist hard enough to pop it. The Thanator unleashes another cry, sounding closer than ever.
“We jump on three!”
It’s then you hear the wild splashes of water. You’re running head on on the edge of a cliff. You’re going to die and Jake Sully is the last person you’ll see. It’s enough to make you want to cry.
“One!”
“No!” You try to pull your wrist free from his hold but his grip only tightens.
“Two!”
“I said no!”
“Three!”
“I can’t swim!”
You don’t jump.
Jake Sully does.
But he hasn’t let go of you. His momentum drags you along and you’re free falling to your death first and sinking beneath the waters next. During your fall, Sully’s hold on you disappeared. Your chest tightens in more ways than one.
The panic creeps in and your lungs constrict as you take a deep breath, choking on water and going blind in hysteria. You thrash, mind reeling and trying to open your eyes but between the choking and the drowning and the dying, you can’t find it in you to think.
Something wraps beneath your arms and pulls. You break out of the surface, sputtering and blinking away the water, to find Jake Sully in front of you.
“Hey, hey,” he shakes your arms. Stray strands from his braids are clinging to his face. “Are you okay?”
You hear a faint cry from above, the Thanator peering down at you.
“Can we—?” you cough, eyes stinging and nose burning. “Can we get out of the water first?”
Sully hauls you off the river and into land. You fall to your knees and heave, getting water out of your system. Your clothes are drenched and you assume he lost his gun along the way. There might be no Thanators here but the forest still isn’t safe.
You shudder, running a palm over your face to get rid of the rivulets. It’s no use since your palms are wet.
“This is your fault,” you say again, glaring at the man shaking his arms as if it will dry his clothes faster. Whatever vulnerability you showed when he pulled you out was already gone. “If your stupid little ass didn’t wander off, we won’t be here right now.”
“Hey,” he protests, walking over to where you are, boots leaving behind a damp trail. “I just saved your ass back there.”
“Okay, and?”
Sully blows out a breath. You can see the frustration seeping through his façade.
“Get up, we need to find our way back.”
You roll your eyes but don’t protest, knowing he’s right. He doesn’t bother to help you up as he walks away and you don’t bother calling his name as you stagger behind, sniffling and coughing still.
Trekking the forest is much harder with your clothes sticking to you uncomfortably. You’ve never explored this part so it was much harder to navigate, though Jake Sully doesn’t seem as worried as you are. Your legs are tired and your nose still has not recovered from the water you inhaled. You’d love nothing more than to be back in your human form and actually breathe.
It’s nearing eclipse and the two of you are still deep in the forest. Your clothes have not fully dried but not as damp as before but as night creeps closer, the temperature slowly drops and you shiver every now and then.
“We won’t make it back to camp in time,” you say, pushing back leaves in your way. Sully, ever the gentleman, doesn’t so much as help you jump over rocks, letting you clamber your way up like a soaked baby koala.
“No shit.”
“You are so fucking annoying.”
Sully huffs, turning around to look at you. “So are you.”
You jab a finger in his direction, growing more aggravated each passing second. “Shut the fuck up. If it wasn’t for your sorry, stupid as fuck fucking ass, we won’t be here, okay? We could be back in the lab right now — I could be back in the lab right now and resting on that very stupid and inconvenient bunk but no! I am stuck here with you of all people!”
“Hey—”
“I could have died and it would have been your fault.”
Jake Sully stops and you try to swallow the emotions, try to stop the burning sensation behind your eyelids. You are far more collected than that, far more articulate and definitely far more level-headed if it were a better day but you nearly died. Every breath still hurts your lungs and your body aches in places you never thought it could hurt.
He holds up a hand between you, as if conjuring up some healthy boundaries. You think he looks a little conflicted and it’s a fresh look on him.
“Listen kid.” Oh, you hate that condescending tone. “You and I, we need to work together, alright? If you wanna survive, you follow what I say. You don’t want to? Okay—” he makes a grand gesture of spreading his arm, as if giving you liberty, “—I’ll leave you out here to really die. Your choice.”
You scowl at him, fighting the urge to just reach up and grab at his face and squeeze so hard his eyeballs would pop out. But between the two of you, it’s the marine who knows more about survival skills than you ever could so you comply, grumbling after him in the darkness.
“This better not include more cliff jumping,” you remark, kicking pebbles along the way.
“We need to make a fire,” he announces. You stare at his back, wondering if he hit his head when you jumped off.
“How the fuck are we going to do that?”
“Do you have matches?”
You mutter some more nasty comments as you tap on your clothes, checking the pockets. You find a box of it on a pouch on your chest, pulling it out to find it dripping.
“Well,” you hold it between your fingers, watching as water drips, drips, drips on the dirt, “isn’t that lovely.”
Jake Sully curses, searching his pockets. He stills when a growl comes from behind the bushes, and the sound glues you to your spot. You unconsciously take a step toward him, listening intently as he mutters a silent victory, fishing out a lighter.
“Quick, rip a seam off your shirt.” He’s already plucking dry branches off a plant to his left.
“What?”
“We need to make a fire.”
You tug uselessly on the flap of your shirt. “How is this going to help?”
Sully stares at you with wide eyes, his jaw clenched. “Fucking Christ,” he shoves a branch on your hands and grips your clothes. You gasp as he rips a good portion of your polo, leaving you in tattered cargo and an undershirt. “You won’t survive a day out here.”
You push the stupid branch back on his palms. “I wasn’t made to survive here, I’m a scientist. If I asked you what a Loreyu is, you wouldn’t know a single shit about it too.”
He ignores you. You watch as he ties the fabric on the end of the stick, dipping it on a curved leaf that has collected sap. He hands it to you before doing the same thing to his own piece of clothing and stick.
He flicks the lighter on and brings it to the saturated fabric. It catches fire immediately and you see a lot better now.
Another growl resonates, closer this time. Sully says nothing else as he grabs your wrist, torches in hand, and runs.
It seems all you’re meant to do this day is run and to be frank, you don’t think you have it in you to do so. Your legs give out as you reach a clearing, a pond shimmering in the night. It is a pain to admit but you’re thankful for Sully’s grip on you or else you would have dug your face on the forest floor.
“Shit, kid—”
“I’m alright,” you heave, dragging your feet so you’re kneeling. “I’m alright.”
Your reprieve is short-lived when something pounces behind you. You choke back a scream, ignoring the twitching pain on your ankle and scrambling to stand up. There’s a blur of black dancing in your peripheral and soon, there’s a whole pack of them surrounding you.
Jake Sully snarls, swishing his torch in a wide arc. You do the same, your back glued to his, your heart beating an erratic rhythm in your chest.
“Viperwolves,” you say.
“How do we kill it?”
“I don’t know!” You thrust your weapon forward as another one of them attempts to jump on you. “With a gun?”
“We don’t have a gun,” he grunts.
“As if I don—”
You scream as a Viperwolf pounces on you, sending you skittering away from your partner. Your torch is nowhere in sight and you’re far too panicked to think straight. Its large mouth is right at your face, sharp teeth inches away from your face.
This is it. Six years on this moon and you meet your fate like this. What a gruesome, sad ending. You don’t bother fighting, closing your eyes and flinching as it lets out a snarl before attacking you.
The pain never came.
You think you hear something, hear it whimper and the others scuttle off, but Jake Sully is already dragging you away.
There’s a ringing in your ears and his voice sounds so far away but your eyes are clear. You see him so vividly. Tommy.
“Hey, hey.” He makes a show of snapping his fingers to your left, to your right. “Talk to me, come on.”
It was the same thing he said when you almost drowned in a pool back on Earth. You were eight and stupid, taking a dip unsupervised, feeling like such an adult as you tried to imitate the others who were learning to swim as a part of their Avatar Training Program.
Tommy had found you nearly unconscious, calling and shouting for anyone as he rubbed and slapped at your back, throwing up water.
“Hey,” he had said, wiping away water on your face, “talk to me, come on.”
You had burst into tears right then, clinging to him and never letting go until you fell asleep. For a long time, he had been the only safe place you ever knew and seeing him in Jake Sully in the same situation makes your throat close up.
“M’fine,” you warble. You don’t see the woman who saved you speaking softly as she holds a palm to the Viperwolf that nearly bit your head off.
When you hear faint footsteps retreating, you think Jake Sully has left you out here, but he’s crouched over your form, looking over his shoulder.
He pushes you up despite your protests, shy of dragging you on the dirt by your arms. He’s got a hold on your wrist again, dragging you through the forest again. It is disorienting, all of it. From being chased by a Thanator, jumping off a cliff and nearly drowning, to being attacked by a Viperwolf — paired with your fatigued body, your knees rattle as you blindly follow Sully.
You hear him talking, a string of slurred words. The forest is melting, a spiral of blues and greens, until your vision vignettes and there’s nothing at all.

Distance
Pairing- Tsu'tey x reader
Summary- Tsu'tey has become distant and you're determined to find out why.
Pt.1 Pt.2
A/N- this is shorter than usual but I didn't really have anymore ideas but this was a request by the lovely @the-fanart-girl I hope you like it.
Tumblr media
Tsu'tey has been distant, any hunting trip you go on he withdrawals from, anytime you step into the room he leaves and at first it was confusing why was he ignoring you now your hurt. He was your mate, in the eyes of Eywa so why was he ignoring you. And now you've finally got him alone.
"Tsu'tey." You say. He turns around and it was as if he was angered by your presence. "What do you need?" He asks putting his bow over his shoulder. "Well I wanted to ask why you have been avoiding me." You say looking at his body reactions it was just tense. "I haven't been avoiding you." He says before inhaling sharply. "Yes you have anytime I enter the room you leave immediately after, it's like you don't want to be around me." You say your own words making your stomach twist and turn.
"Because I don't."
As soon as the words left his mouth it felt as if all the love that has grown for him over the past left you, you turn on your heels ready to walk out of his home. "Was I too much or not enough?" Was the only thing you said to him. His ears perked your voice wasn't filled with sadness, not even anger. "I- I just um." He was a stuttering mess trying to think of the right words but that was all you needed to hear before you walked out of the home and didn't look back once.
You stayed in your home for many days, Neytiri snuck you food which you barely ate. And finally you decided to talk to the Great mother. Walking up the soul of trees you sit down Infront of the bioluminescent tree and connect your queue, bonding with one of the vines. Sighing at the whispers of your ancestors you smile.
"Oh great mother," you began feeling tears take over your eyes. "I do not know what to do, Tsu'tey doesn't love me anymore and we bonded before you and I just I just don't know what to do it hurts so, so much." You say putting your hands to your chest.
And it was a Eywa herself helped you stand putting you on you feet, "I'll have to find worth in myself." You whisper before smiling. "Thank you thank you." You say before disconnecting for the tree and running home.

Tsu’tey was always a reserved man, never someone who openly displayed affection, at least, not for others to see. Known for his cold demeanor in the clan and never really minding that, Tsu’tey kept mostly to himself. That was until he fell for you.
The union between you two came gradually but swiftly, hidden in the unspoken words and lingering touches, like a precious gem that needed to be protected from the prying eyes. And Tsu’tey struggled deeply, because all throughout him courting you, all he wanted was to be consumed by you - to touch you as much as he could, to be immersed in your scent, to hear your voice and make you smile. But there was always the fear of scaring you away, so he contained it and locked it away, waiting patiently until the day you would be officially his - when you would truly choose him, the way that he had chosen you.
And when you did eventually mate, and the realization dawned that he no longer had to keep his heart caged, the love for you spilled out of him uncontrollably. His hands were eager to explore every inch of your being, lips trailing soft kisses all over your skin, as if etching the memory into his mind. So within the initial days after the blissful mating, both of you preferred to seek privacy, never leaving your home to enjoy the newfound connection. During these days, Tsu'tey became inseparable from you, clung to you like a second skin, obsessed with the way you were consuming all of his thoughts.
But as the day of reemerging into the public eye arrived, you suddenly felt intimidated by the idea of getting attention from the clan. Having already inherent innate insecurity, being openly with the chief added a new layer of complexity. After all, he was highly respected within the clan, and the standards for his chosen mate were high, casting a shadow of heavy expectation upon you. And as you returned to your communal duties now together, you attempted to make yourself small next to him, hoping that shrinking in his presence will keep you hidden from the eyes of the others. But his scent lingering on your skin announced the news of your mating loudly. You were naive to think that keeping a distance with Tsu’tey in public and minimizing the touches could be enough.
And while it was unfortunate that it didn’t work, what was worse was that it breathed a wave of insecurity into Tsu’tey. That perhaps, you didn't feel about him as strongly as he felt about you. At first, he tried to write it off to your reserved nature, thinking that you were probably just getting used to his affections, but the more you flinched whenever he tried to reach you, the more worrisome he grew.
As you sat together during the communal dinner, you were anxious, feeling as if you were being watched at all times.
“Yawne, you look… stressed,” Tsu’tey made an observation, reaching for your hand, which you instinctively pulled away from his grasp.
The surge of overwhelming emotions within Tsu'tey turned from pure desire and love to a perplexing mixture of confusion and pain. Even this slightest withdrawal in your response caused his heart to clench, piercing amber eyes searched for the reason behind your hesitance.
“Yawne?” he glared down at your hand now tucked between your thighs, as if trying to shield it from his own hand finding yours, “Are you ashamed of being with me?”
“No, of course I am not ashamed,” you shook your head firmly, surprise flickering in your eyes, “Why would I ever be ashamed of being with you?”
“I don’t know, Y/N,” Tsu’tey’s frown mirrored your own, as if it was a puzzle both of you desperately needed to solve, “Why do you pull away when I try to touch you?”
You shrank under his gaze, ears lowering in defeat or perhaps embarrassment, preparing for a vulnerable confession. Cautiously, you scanned the surrounding crowd to ensure no one was listening in. Tsu’tey reached for you once more, resting his hands over your shoulders, as if trying to snap you back into the conversation.
“It’s just… I don’t want to draw attention to us,” you bit your lip, wishing that you could take words back, “I know that everyone already thinks you are too good for me, so I don’t want to remind them of that.”
His expression softened, hands moving from your shoulders to gently cup your face.
“That is not true, no one thinks that,” his tone was serious, trying to convince you that he meant every single word he uttered, “And it shouldn’t matter, yawne. When it comes to you, I cannot hide my feelings. I have yearned for the moment to hold you and touch you ever since my eyes first laid on you. Please do not deny me that, yes?”
You nodded weakly, ears flattening against your skull in a mixture of embarrassment and flattery. Tsu’tey barely spoke more than a few words, especially when it came to his feelings. But he just wasn’t used to it, if he could, he would have screamed at the top of his lungs about how much he loved you. A mischievous smile then curved upon his lips as his mind raced with an idea to convey his affection to you openly, even without the need for spoken words.
A loud yelp escaped your lips, slicing through the air, as Tsu'tey unexpectedly scooped you up the ground and stood up, throwing you over his shoulder. It was so sudden, that your face almost collided with his back, and you had to frantically cling to his body to grip onto him. Your legs dangled helplessly in the air, desperately searching for the solid ground that had become too far away.
“Tsu’tey! Put me down!” you hissed angrily, swatting at his back, but he only chuckled.
The gesture, of course, drew the attention of the whole clan, and curious gazes fixated upon the scene unfolding before them. Annoyed by the unexpected display, you swatted at Tsu'tey again in an attempt to free yourself from his grasp. But instead of releasing you, he turned around dramatically and spoke loudly.
“Everyone, my beautiful mate and I will leave the dinner earlier tonight,” he announced, still holding you tightly, his hands gripping onto your thighs, “Please enjoy the rest of the evening without our presence.”
You could have sworn in that moment that you were probably turning purple from all of the embarrassment. Your heart raced, adrenaline rushing through your body, as Tsu’tey began to walk through the crowd with a snicker. Yet despite your expectations, there was no judgment in the looks you were receiving from the clan members. Still hanging upside down over his shoulder, you could see them only chuckling and nodding with smiles at the sight of Tsu’tey, always cold and unemotional, finally letting himself relax with his mate.
“Tsu’tey! Everyone’s staring,” you whispered shyly, as he continued to walk, carrying you effortlessly.
“Let them stare,” he chuckled weakly, delivering a soft smack to your bottom, making you gasp in shock, “They need to see the pure joy you bring into my life.” You bit your lip in amusement, his words were clearly aligning with the reactions you were getting. Tsu'tey's carefree demeanor and the accepting murmurs of your clan members reassured you that your bond was something to celebrate, not hide.

oki i have a req now !! can u make a fic of #18 and #19 with tsu'tey and reader (i have a big fat crush on him) where they're on a date night laying down somewhere just cuddling and enjoying the moment. while cuddling, reader confesses that they've dreamt of having a family before, meeting and being mated with tsu'tey and just indulging with all the love they have at that moment but then also shares to him that they're scared that it'll get taken away from them soon and that sometimes it feels too good to be true (either bec of sky people or for other reasons). hehe its straight up fluff with a hint of angst but you can add more details abt their family status like are they just newly mated or are they already established for n years with kids or with their standings in the clan (olo'eyktan/tsakarem) and etc.
ps. specifically wanted #18 cause i get lucid and prophetic dreams too and they happen way too often for my liking -🐬

Tsu’tey had many sides to him; fierce, strict, and even cold. But there was a side to him that was unknown to most of the clan. It was the side that had captured your heart, the side that had made you so irrevocably in love with him.
Gentle.
You watched from afar as Tsu’tey played with the children by the river, their giggles and laughter filling the forest each time he splashed them. Most knew him as a ruthless warrior of the Omatikaya, even more so after the recent destruction of the sky people. He was recognized as one of the finest hunters your clan had seen in years, his skills and talents surpassing most of the men his age.
But you knew him as him; kind and patient Tsu’tey. Even in your younger years, he was always softer with you – like he had some built-in switch in him everytime he interacted with you. Needless to say, the match between the two of you was fate.
Tsu’tey’s voice roared as he found two of the kids hiding behind the rocks, each one encircled by one of his arms as he carried them. They laughed even harder as he spun them around, the other kids coming up to him with fake attacks.
“Now!” One of the girls yelled to the group as the sounds of little feet splashed loudly towards his direction.
“What is this! Have I been ambushed?” He said, a mocked expression of surprise painting his face.
Though your husband was a mighty warrior, not even he would be able to withstand the strength of energized children. He fell back into the water, the kids in his grasp landing on top of him as the other children continued to surround him. You couldn’t help but laugh along with them as you finally made your way to them.
“Oel ra’un! You have bested me, you sly hunters!” He said in feigned desperation.
The children yelled in victory as he moved to sit up properly, his smile gracing his features. He ruffled one of their heads, the small child giggling as he did so. The girl who had led the ambush spotted you then, her eyes lighting up as soon as she saw you.
“[Y/N], [Y/N]! Look, we have defeated the river demon of the forest!” She exclaimed, her fist pumping up as she continued to wield her makeshift blade.
Tsu’tey turned slightly, clearly surprised to see you here. He was not upset, though, as you were already aware of these excursions he had with the village children. He smiled even wider, glad to have your lively aura grace the younglings.
“I see, ma’evi.” You said, stroking your head as you looked down at your defeated mate. “How very noble of you, the village is safe!”
Tsu’tey only stared at you as you spoke, his smile never faltering. You held your hand out, pulling him up out of the water. Once he was stable, he pecked you quickly on your temple as his hands came up to stroke your back. The children cringed at his affection, and you only laughed.
“It is getting late, ma’eveng.” Tsu’tey paused to let go of you momentarily, crouching down to be level with the little ones. “You must return to the village before Tsahik scolds me.”
Their groans of protests and pleading whines made your heart melt; you were always swayed by children and the light they brought to the harsh realities of life. You almost pleaded with them, almost begged Tsu’tey as well if they could play a little longer.
But you knew he was right, the children needed to be back soon before it got too dark. The forest was home to many beautiful things, but it was also home to luring dangers. They all looked up at you, their eyes wide with childlike wonder. You only nodded in agreement with Tsu’tey’s orders, and they finally gave in once they realized they wouldn’t be able to persuade you.
You waved them off as they started making their way back, their disappointment fizzling away as quickly as it came. You felt Tsu’tey grab you by your waist then, a more intimate gesture now that the kids were gone. You smiled at him, your ears pinning back as you made yourself comfortable in his grasp.
“I didn’t know you were coming, yawne.” He said, stroking stray hairs away from your face. “I have a persona to live up to, you know.”
“Persona of what? Being the river demon?” You teased, and he nudged you lightly.
“You know what I mean.” He said with a knowing tone. “I cannot let you have such leverage over me, I am the Olo’eyktan-in-waiting!”
You laughed at him as you moved to place your hands on his shoulders. He was as dashing as always, even more so in the warm light.
“The children love you, that is not leverage.” You replied seriously, though you knew he was only joking. “It is admiration.”
He only hummed before he closed the gap between the both of you. His lips were so plush, so soft. It felt like heaven every time he kissed you. His passion engulfed you fully, and your hands came up to cup his face as he moved to wrap his arms around your lower back. When you finally pulled away he pouted, and you stroked his bottom lip with a smile.
“Come,” You said as you stepped back, arm outstretched for him to take your hand. “I want to fly tonight.”
Tumblr media
Flying on your own was always an exciting feeling, but flying with your mate was something entirely else. It was an experience that you wished upon everyone. The sky people would call it love, but it was more than that. Txasunu was what best described it; to do something you enjoyed tremendously with the person you loved greatly.
Your laughter filled the night sky as you sent Tsu’tey and his banshee a gust of wind, flying under him to avoid his own retaliation. You sped forward, sending him yet another blow.
“Skxawng!” He yelled, though you knew he meant it lovingly.
You looked back at him through your visor, your fangs showing as you beamed brightly. You swerved upwards then, flying over him as you were suspended upside down. Tsu’tey had never gotten used to your skill as a rider, and he figured he never would. Amazing would not even begin to describe you; you were brilliant.
He laughed as he finally moved to be level with you, the both of you spinning around each other before dipping back down to fly over the hanging vines that connected the floating mountains. You yelled out into the air as you both made it over the rocks, your laughter never fading.
His hand gestured for you to follow him as he yipped, and you quickly flew to the direction he had pointed to. He was ahead of you now, navigating the both of you up to one of the grass plains that grew atop the mountains. He landed swiftly, and you followed soon after.
He held you by your waist as you hopped down, his grip secure so as to not let you slip. You thanked him quickly before removing your visor. You could see clearly now, your eyes adjusting to the darkness of your surroundings. The grass glowed as you stepped on it, illuminating your movements.
“That never gets old,” You said, spinning out of his hold. “How is it that my father chose you as Olo’eyktan-in-waiting when you can’t even beat me in flying?”
“Because Eywa has blessed you with abilities so strong that it leaves you unbalanced.” He smirked at you, grabbing your arm to pull you close to him once more. “Your father chose me to balance you out.”
You smiled at him before he pulled you down to rest, his back leaning against one of the smoother rocks. You sat in between his legs, your back pressed up against his broad chest. He let out a heavy sigh once you were comfortable, wrapping his arms around you. Your hand went up to hold one of his arms, your thumb tracing small shapes on his skin.
“Now this,” He breathed out. “This never gets old.”
You laughed lightly as he nuzzled your neck, his lips pecking your shoulder.
“You are awfully affectionate today,” You paused to tilt your head up to him. “Not that I am complaining, though.”
He chuckled lightly against your shoulder, still peppering kisses along your skin. Your heart was happy in this moment, the solace of being safe in your mates arms quelling your tensenes away. You leaned further against him, closing your eyes as you matched his breathing.
Though you were recently mated, your bond with Tsu’tey had stretched back all the way to when you were still young. He was never good with expressing his feelings – his real feelings. You were aware of the expectations his parents had set for him, and you always did your best to relieve him of the weight of it all.
He did the same for you, just not outright. But anyone who knew him knew that he only had eyes for you, and that he would quite literally go to hell if it meant that you would be safe. You were grateful for him, grateful to the Great Mother for allowing you to meet someone who cared for you as much as you cared for them, if not, even more.
Now that you were one with him, you felt it was your duty to make sure he was free from shame, free from the torment of never being good enough. None of it mattered to you anyway, in your eyes he would always be perfect. You kissed the inside of his forearm, right on his pulse.
And while your efforts seemed to have worked to keep him steady, the suppressed concerns within your own heart had started to take over your mind once again.
“Tsu’tey?” You whispered.
“Hm?” He replied, his head now resting atop yours.
“Can I tell you something?” You looked up at him, watching him as he still kept his eyes closed.
“Anything, yawne.” He whispered back.
“I dreamt of this once.” You said softly, your hands still holding onto his arms. “Dreamt of being with you.”
He looked at you now, confused. “Why would you have to dream? Surely you could not have doubted my promises to you-”
“It is not that, ‘Tey,” You reassured, turning your body to face him fully. He did not let go of you, only adjusting his arms to rest on your lower back. “It’s just- I was afraid. And I still am, sometimes.”
“What is it that troubles you?” His confusion was now replaced with concern. “Tell me and I will do everything in my power to stop whatever it is.”
“I believe it won’t be that simple, yawne.” You said as you shook your head slightly. “My fears concern the sky people.”
He hissed at the mention of the demons, infuriated by the fact that they have been clouding your thoughts. You sat upright then, grabbing his hands to place them on your lap. His lips had formed a slight frown, his expression troubled by your worries.
“This fear has been brewing inside of me for so long, Tsu’tey.” You said, your tail laying flat as you confessed your feelings. “The day I lost Sylwanin, my baby sister, I was changed. I thought I was going to lose everyone to the sky people – I thought I was going to lose you.”
He sighed as he moved to hold your face, his eyes looking deep into yours. You had no tears in your eyes, only a pensive look as you continued to tell him your thoughts.
“I pushed these fears away by dreaming, dreaming of what life would be like without the sky people – without all this tragedy.” You said, your hand coming up to grasp his wrist. “I dreamed of a lifetime of happiness with you, dreamed of having our own family one day.”
“[Y/N], please hear my words as I say this,” His expression softened. “You do not need to dream, because I am here. I promised your father that my sole purpose to the Great Mother is to make sure you remain happy, remain safe.”
Your heart swelled, a wave of relief washing over your senses. You knew deep down that it was pointless to worry about such things, but still it troubled you. Nobody could ever be sure of what the future held, not even your own mother. The will of Eywa was absolute, and it could be cruel just as much as it could be divine.
But you didn’t linger on your worries for much longer, finally smiling once again. You leaned forward to kiss him, relishing in his comfort. He was gentle with you, his hands moving to rub your back as you held his face closer to you. The scent of the forest still lingered on him, fresh and earthy.
You pulled away to rest on his chest, one of his hands coming up to caress your head. You heard his heartbeat then, steady and strong. You laid a hand directly on top of his heart, and he held it as you soothed yourself of any more troubling thoughts.
“So,” He said, breaking the peaceful silence. “A family, you say?”
You smacked him lightly as you laughed, your spirits lifted from the dull emotions you had been feeling only a moment ago.
“Yes, a family.” You said as you stared up at him, a smile gracing your lips once again. “Two children, if we are lucky.”
“Oh, we most certainly are.” He replied almost immediately. “Our first born will be a strong Olo’eyktan, I am sure of it.”
“Or Olo’eykte.” You added, already firm on your decision of succession.
He hummed, smiling as he did so. “Of course. A girl would be a fierce leader – just like her mother.”
“And a boy would be a mighty warrior.” You said, still beaming up at him. “Just like his father.”
He held you closer, and you felt content – you felt at home. You yawned then, your body starting to succumb to your tiredness. He rubbed circles on your hand as he lulled you to rest with a melodic tune; his songcord.
“Sleep, yawne.” He said quietly, his own fatigue starting to take a toll on him as well.
You felt yourself smile once more before you finally drifted off, his voice the last thing you heard before falling into a restful slumber.
“I am here.”

Looking over the crowd everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time. Everyone but him. Tsu'tey would never admit it aloud though. There was shame in admitting you'd rather be anywhere but your own engagement party.
Eyes briefly scanning over you entering the crowd, he quickly stopped for a double take. The sight of you caused his breath to catch in his throat.
It was foolish really, to think you wouldn't show up. Of course you would be there. The celebration was for the future Olo'eyktan after all, everyone would be there. But still, seeing you caught him off guard.
Looking up you caught his gaze. Tsu'tey's intense eyes were locked on you, leaving you feeling exposed before him. Offering him a small smile you watched as his rough exterior melted slightly. Only you had that effect on him.
Gracefully you weaved through the crowd. Your radiant smile was on full display as you greeted people. Tsu'tey felt his heart pinch at the sight. He wanted to be the cause of your smile.
Before he could think about it his feet began taking him towards you. He stood before you not saying a word, he resembled a lost child.
"Oel ngati kameie Tsu'tey." You gestured towards him. Your smile never quite reached your eyes.
"You're here." He breathed.
"Of course. You are my future Olo'eyktan and my friend. I am here to show my support." You nodded.
Friend.
The word stabbed at his heart. He didn't want to be your friend, not when you held his heart in your hands.
"Can we talk?" Fighting the urge to touch you he kept his fists glue to his side.
"Tsu'tey." You sighed. "We can't. Not with everyone here."
"Then let's leave." He pleaded with you. "Please Y/N."
"I don't think that's a good idea." You looked up at him pained. "You know it will change nothing. We can't go back."
"I don't know how to go through with this without talking to you first." His eyes clouding over with tears.
"We knew this would happen. No regrets, remember?"
"I know what we said, but-"
"Go back to your party Tey." You interrupted him. "Your betrothed is waiting."
Tsu'tey watched helplessly as you wandered back into the crowd. An arrow to the chest would hurt less than watching you walk away.
He knew this would eventually happen. He was chosen to be Olo'eyktan so he was to go through with an arranged marriage. But how could he when his heart was no longer his to give?
He loved you. He saw you. There was room for no one else.
Tsu’tey’s love for his people also ran deep. He felt that he was chosen for a reason; he couldn’t let his people down. No one ever questioned Tsahík for she interpreted the will of Eywa.
But there you were, beautiful as ever, freckles glowing under the bioluminescence of the night. The sight made him question his resolve all over again.
Tumblr media
You couldn't pinpoint when exactly it started. It had just always been him. Your heart beat for him and him only. The day you found out he reciprocated your feelings something inside you was lit aflame. The warmth in your heart had yet to subside.
The two of you had crossed the line of friendship long ago. Suddenly sweet kisses and hand holding were no longer enough. Your late night talks turned into late nights without much talking.
You slept soundly tucked away in his arms knowing that he was yours and you were his. Tsu'tey planned to take you as his mate, he all but told you so. He wanted you and no one else.
When it was announced that he was to be the next leader you felt as though your world was crashing down. Tsu'tey's future mate would be the next Tsahík and you were not her. You were just a common member of the clan; you weren't special or significant in any way.
The last thing you wanted was to break things off with him. But you knew what you had to do. Tsu'tey would be an excellent leader and you couldn't take that from him. You'd be damned if you robbed him of that great honor.
But there was a selfish part of him that refused to let you go. So every time you attempted to end things with him he never really listened. He was too focused on your lips to hear the words flowing from them.
"We still have time." He interrupted you.
"This won't last forever Tsu'tey." You mumbled. "We should quit while we're ahead."
Deep down he knew it wouldn't last forever, but that wouldn't stop him from trying to get there.
It went on like that for months. You would try to end it, but then he would kiss you and you melted. How could you ever say no to him?
"Tsu'tey." You wined as his fingers danced across your skin.
This was a dangerous game, you both knew it. You were playing with fire, practically daring your heart to break. But you couldn't bring yourself to care. Not when he whispered sweet nothings into your ear as his hand dipped into your loincloth.
You came completely undone under his touch. Melting like putty in his hands. You belonged to him. Body and heart you gave it all to him.
You treasured the nights spent tangled with him. Your love was untamed, the two of you completely blocking out what was to come.
One day these moments would become distant memories. You tried to live in the present as much as you could. Attempting to commit every last part of him to memory while he was yours.
Because you knew, it wouldn't last forever.
Tumblr media
Tsu'tey hadn't slept at all that night. It was becoming increasingly impossible after he became accustomed to sleeping with you in his arms.
The morning light stung his eyes as he stepped outside. His mind was on autopilot in his drowsy state. Tsu'tey didn't remember walking to your home, but that's where he found himself.
"Tsu'tey?" You questioned when you noticed him outside.
Guiding him in you made him take a seat. Your heart clenched at the sight of him. The dark bags under his eyes an indication of his lack of sleep.
"Are you alright?" You hesitantly questioned. He shouldn't be here.
"No." He grumbled.
"Why are you here?" You hated being so formal, but he was betrothed now. You no longer had any claim to him.
"I don't remember why." He mumbled.
Tsu'tey was lost without you. The distance was making him lose his mind. He started pondering giving up on his duties. He wouldn't mind if in the end he could have you.
"Oh Tsu'tey." You sighed. This was like stones in your heart. But you had to be the bad guy. The one to make the tough call. You wouldn't allow him to throw away his future for you.
"Do you regret it? Regret us?" He asked almost fearful.
“I regret the timing. The circumstances. But not you. I would never regret you.”
Nodding somberly he seemed somewhat satisfied with that answer.
“I keep thinking if things were different.” He spoke.
“No. Don’t do that to yourself. Don’t do that to me.” Tears clouded your vision.
“Yawne.” He whispered.
“Don’t call me that.” You whimpered. “Please do not call me that.”
Tsu’tey went to reach for you. His protective instincts kicking in the moment he noticed your tears. Immediately you pulled away from him.
“You act like this is not hard for me. This is killing me, but one of us has to take things seriously.” You said as your arms wrapped around yourself.
“I have accepted an offer of courtship.” You sighed.
“Who?” Tsu’tey asked through gritted teeth. He was seething with anger at the thought of someone trying to claim what was rightfully his.
You shook your head at him. You knew Tsu’tey like the back of your hand. You wouldn’t allow him to do something regretful in his blinded jealous rage.
Tsu’tey sighed in defeat. It felt real now. You were no longer his and he would never be yours again. His heart that once burned bright with his love for you now felt like a flickering ember.
He wanted to wish you the best, but he didn’t think he was able to. Selfishly, he didn’t want to wish you happiness when it wasn’t with him.
“I think you should go.” You wiped away a few stray tears. “I’m so sorry.”
Without another word Tsu’tey got up to leave. Turning he took one last look at you. Tears were still streaming down your cheeks. You offered him a weak smile.
“I hope you know I wish you happiness. I truly do Tsu’tey.”
In that moment he wanted to rip his heart out and offer it to you so you’d never be apart. It was already yours.
“Goodbye yawne.” He whispered before he left.
As he walked back towards home tree he realized that the two of you together now only existed in his memories. Your shared love now officially a thing of the past.
Nobody said that it would last forever

Days. Weeks. Months.
You no longer kept count, why should you when your heart has stopped beating the moment her hand touched his? Why should you be held responsible for keeping score of the days that had passed? Why was your heart the one to be consistently broken over Tsu’tey and Sylwanin?
You knew the blame you placed on him was not fair. It was not called for, yet that didn’t stop the anguish from rising in your chest every time you were a witness to their growing love. No matter how far you distanced yourself from the clan, there was always talk of their future Olo’eytukan and Tsahik.
Everyone was waiting for the day the two of them were officially mated, the day the clan would welcome the new leaders. But you knew in your heart, you would run away before you ever had to see it come true.
It was no surprise that you had changed dramatically since that night. You traded your bright beaded tops for dull feathered ones instead. No longer wishing to finally catch the eye of your oldest friend.
But it seemed no matter how hard you tried to hide away, Tsu’tey always noticed you. He was no fool. He knew how hurt you had been, the look on your face so raw and full of anguish. No one could have missed you running away towards the woods.
He himself would have been surprised if he hadn’t been told mere minutes before the announcements. It was a reminder that he could never fully choose his future. No part of him had ever craved to mate with Sylwanin, but every fiber of him ached to be with you. You who had stuck by his side through everything, through the fights with his family, his flight of passage, and every other challenging moment. You were a constant, you were his.
————————————————————
“Ah, Y/N, he is staring at you again. You must put him out of his misery,” Ninat giggled, lowly gesturing to the group of warriors across the way.
Eyes quickly darting upwards, your heart sank as you met the eyes of Orew. The slightest glimmer of hope, wishing your eyes met his.
“Ninat! Do not spread rumors you baby! I know nothing of this misery you speak of! Orew is nothing but a skawang, a foolish boy,” you hissed, face heating as she just laughed harder at you.
Bearing your teeth at your friend, you turned your attention towards the necklace you were making. Smiling downwards at the colorful gems you had spent weeks collecting in the forest. So absorbed in your work, you didn’t hear the footfalls behind you.
“That necklace is going to look beautiful on you,” a deep voice rumbled, spooking you from your inner thoughts.
Quickly looking up, you met the sparkling eyes of Orew. Heart racing in your chest from being snuck up on, a polite smile gently finding home on your face.
“Thank you Orew, it is quite pretty but it’s not for me. It’s for someone very special to me,” you answered sincerely, hoping he would just walk away.
“Well they are very lucky. One could only be so lucky to wear something you’ve crafted for them. I hope to one day be so lucky,” he spoke confidently, before sending you a striking smile and heading back towards his friends.
The moment his back was turned, Ninat tightly grabbed your arm and practically screamed, “He is so into you!”
Rolling her eyes as you pushed her away, you were oblivious to the tall na’vi watching you closely from the treeline.
—-------------------------------
One thing about the clan was that the minute a rumor was whispered, it spread like wildfire throughout the entire village. Whether it was true or not hardly mattered, as long as the members of the clan had something to keep their days interesting.
So it was no surprise to you when a rumor that Sylwanin was choosing to mate with Ayawon started to make its way through the clan. It wasn’t the first rumor of its likeness to be passed around. From the moment she came of age, every elder sa’nok hoping the name of their ‘itan would stick. The Olo’eytukans family always fell unlucky to the gossiping of small minded na’vi. When you heard this rumor you couldn’t help the hollow laugh that escaped your throat. The harshness of it surprising even yourself.
Deep down, you and everyone else knew that Sylwanin would never go against her fathers orders. She was promised to Tsu’tey and in order to be the next Tsahik, she would have to make tsaheylu with him. Why would she give up a lifetime of training for a mediocre warrior? When she had the finest warrior the clan had to offer and the future Olo’eytukan? She was no fool and knew the importance of the future of the clan.
Pushing the rumor out of your mind, you continued on with your day. Spending much of the morning helping forage for herbs with the healers before heading back to the village for syvue. As you walked towards the large fire, whispers flowed throughout the clan already gathered. Grabbing a bowl of tsngan, you found a quiet spot to enjoy your meal. The comfort of the moment ruined when a voice bellowed, “YOU DID WHAT?”
Looking up from your bowl, your eyes widened at the scene unfolding in front of you. There before you stood Sylwanin. Hand in Hand with Ayawon, but further than that, they stood with their queues connected as the final sign of mating. Beyond her stood a furious Eytukan, glaring at his eldest daughter.
Gasps rippled throughout the village as they watched with rapt attention. Rumors were one thing, but you could barely comprehend what was happening.
“Ayawon and I have mated before Eywa. It is done,” Sylwanin spoke fiercely, never breaking eye contact with her father.
“If you chose this Sylwanin, you can and will not be Tsahik,” Mo’at rushed out quickly, almost as if hoping her daughter would change her mind.
“I have made up my mind. I choose him as my mate,” she replied strongly, turning to smile lovingly at her new mate.
“Then that is how it should be. Sylwanin will no longer lead our clan as Tsahik. She has chosen,” Eytukan declared loudly, “Tsu’tey may choose my youngest Neytiri as his promised and keep his place as future Olo’eytukan or pick a mate of his choice and continue down his path as a warrior. Like Sylwanin, the choice is his.”
Your heart couldn’t take the implications of what just happened and you felt as though you would faint on the spot. Voices erupted from throughout the crowd as the other tute na’vi weighed the newest addition to the mating pool. Unable to stop yourself, your eyes scanned the crowd until they met the familiar yellow ones you adored. Tentatively Tsu’tey raised a hand in a small wave. To anyone else it was insignificant, miniscule in the grand scheme of things. But to you, it was a new beginning.
It was Tsu’tey telling you Oel ngati kameie.
You raised your hand to wave back and was on the verge of a genuine smile for the first time in months, when the ground shook and all hell broke loose.
