Why is there no easy way to add a horizontal line in my posts??? There used to be a button for it. Damn you, Tumblr. Even after switching to HTML and adding <hr>, nothing happens.
Anybody getting royally FUCKED trying to edit a post? Ive been attempting to update a Master List (its been five months) and it won't save a fucking thing
Has anyone else’s ability to put images into a grid/side by side in a post just... completely broken as of late? Because mine definitely is and I have no idea why or when it’ll be fixed lmao
does anyone know why tumblr's editor just?? fucks up your text color in this very odd and specific way sometimes?? or has anyone besides me even encountered this?? i hope this screenshot from a post i have in my drafts is enough to demonstrate what i mean:
i used the editor to color this whole block of text blue. it looked perfect. i saved the draft. the draft then loaded like this, with only the last two letters randomly uncolored, instead. when i go into the html editor the coding itself is now changed so that the blue color doesn't apply to the last two letters even though it was there before i saved. i get this all the time and it seems like the only way to fix it is to just not color the text until i'm ready to immediately post the post, but that can be really annoying when i want to use gradient text on the caption, because then i have to be on my PC to do so and sometimes i still have to mess with the html coding a bit which then takes extra time. this drives me absolutely insane every time it happens. i want the legacy editor back.
i was obsessed the first time i saw someone post leon on that stupid panda rocker but i was never able to find raw footage of it lol, so i decided to compile leon with all the playground interactions because i love him <3
Hello y’all! Happy first week of Pride! For episode 2 of my series of edits of LGBT+ characters I decided to make an edit of Raphael Santiago from Shadowhunters
for the most part i do like the new editor but if you post to multiple blogs, the editor being based on the last blog you posted to is inconvenient lol
keep posting stuff intended for my main blog to my art blog and it drives me a bit nuts. if there was a way to toggle between the current "last blog" setting and just set on your main blog by default (as in the old editor) that would be nice
Why I switched to legacy editor: In order to better manage my conversations and co-authored writings in my writing group, I need to be able to see the most recent reblog. However, the post-trimming deletes all previous replies and defeats the purpose of trimming the conversation just to its current state.
If you can add an option to delete reblogs up to a certain point (like how you delete paragraphs), that would not only be helpful but take a huge load off of us writers and other users.
Changing the reblog trimmer to something closer to the paragraph trimmer instead of the "all or nothing" eraser button would be a HUGE help for us.
@ everyone else, if you guys want to, definitely feel free to send Staff editor designs and suggestions so they can fix the mess that is the New Post Editor. I know having no way to control which reblogs we delete has made things aggravating and made Tumblr hard to use. So definitely let Staff know and make your voices heard!
I'm a gif-maker, and I honestly do not get the outcry on the new editor when it comes to gifs. What do you mean the new editor lowers the quality for gifs??? I've been uploading my gifs just fine, and I see no noticeable loss of quality whether on the dash or on my blog theme...
