You let out a confused little 'huh?' at the sudden contemplation, looking over to the eel-mer with furrowed brows as you process what he's said.

"Where'd that come from?"

"I'm just thinking, my dear." He hums, and there's a glint in his eyes like he's amused by how you seem unable to decide how to react, if you should be embarrassed or not. You don't think you can love him any more than you do, but he just keeps surprising you. "I'm ever so lucky to have you in my life, darling. I'm wondering what good deed I possibly could've done to deserve you."

"Have you ever even done a good deed? Seen one, even?"

Your disbelief forces a huff of laughter out of Jade, and he's grinning at you now, even as you make like you're genuinely trying to puzzle it out.

"No, really, Jade, when could you have possibly? You're so busy being in the like, fish mafia. I don't believe it. You do care for your mushrooms and terrariums, but I hardly think that caring for nature counts as a good deed."

"Really? I think it should." He plays along, mirth clear in his eyes even if his smile is the same as always. You know him enough to know that he's more than amused by the derailment of his affectionate sentiments. "And fish mafia? I'm hurt, my dear."

"You know I'm right!"

He laughs again, and you think it might be your favorite sound.

"Just don't let Azul hear you say that, my love."

omg quite a few things actually HAHA ummm main thing is this lit review <3 i hate it. i hate it soooo much ren oh my god. and it annoys me that i can't concentrate on it, and it annoys me even more that i know i wont be able to concentrate on it until i'll absolutely have to. i'm also irritated by the weather! it's humid and grey and overcast and i'm not into it

52: Do you believe everything happens for a reason?

HMmm honestly i don't think i do :-( at the risk of sounding cynical and jaded, i tend to not really believe in anything as a universal truth, if that makes sense. and as much as i would love to believe that everything happens for a reason, to maybe make sense of the seemingly inherent chaos and unfathomable-ness of the world n universe, i just don't think i do. i think everyone's experiences influences their understanding of these ideas, and for some ppl, everything happening for a reason probably brings comfort, but for me and my life experiences, it just doesn't. but while i think there's no real sense to it, i think it's beautiful that people are drawn to finding meaning in it xxx

4. what’s a wip that’s fairly easy for you to get back into writing? why? 

whatever chapter of nsmap i’m working on 😌😌 it’s just my most recent story and i’m deeply obsessed with the three of them and also i can do whatever the hell i want Literally. like there is no plot and there are rules that i have to stick to, no worldbuilding, no word minimum, i do not have to think. and i am enabling myself to make them as neurodivergent as possible which makes it that much more fun <33333

And then came the doubt.

She was never quite good enough offensively and, while she knew she had a place on the team and she wasn’t useless, she felt it. She hated to watch them on the sidelines, every fiber of her soul egging her on, telling her to help, and yet unable to do a thing.

(autism rin chapter of nsmap SJDJSKJF <333 she goes through a Doubt Period before kannabi because her team is So Great and she…isn’t. at least not in a way where she can help in the moment, yk??)

20. how do you usually come up with story ideas? 

for nsmap i just jot down things i’d like to write about :3 for actual full-length stories, i’ve either just watched something, it came to me unbidden, or i thought about southwestern folklore too much and started Researching DJSJFDKD

i also use pinterest boards. pinterest boards help sometimes <333

24. do you have a writer you look up to in terms of writing routines/style? 

ummm i gotta be honest, i’m not really good at telling the different between styles of writing unless they’re STARKLY different (like. huckleberry finn to pjo DKKSSJDJ), and i definitely don’t research writing/how to write things so,, no, not really. sometimes i’ll read a poem or something that’ll Get Me In A Mood and i’ll take inspo from that, but that’s as far as it goes tbh lol

Maybe these aren’t toxic so much as hard parts to grasp about their personalities but

I feel like it would be hard sometimes to be with Jade because you never really know what he’s thinking or when he’s being genuine. Jade is very independent, and that means he’s fine going a week without talking to or seeing you. If a fight occurs, you’ll be falling apart and he’ll look to be perfectly fine, never losing his polite smile. It’s not so much that you think he doesn’t care, but more so that it hurts not being able to tell. You know he’s not the type to show his emotions, but it’s hard when it feels like you’re the only one who even cares in the relationship. Seems like he’d be just fine without you, even if that isn’t the reality. Even if you expressed this to him, he’d try to soothe you with his saccharine words, but you’d have to wonder if he means what he says, or if it’s just to appease you.

This isn’t a new thought, I’ve seen a lot of people discuss Floyd getting bored in his relationship, but I imagine it’s more likely that he wouldn’t necessarily break up with you or anything, it’d be more like: you had a dinner date? Guess what, Floyd doesn’t feel like it so he doesn’t show up. He forgets to tell you too, so you wait by yourself for hours, feeling humiliated. Floyd doesn’t see what the big deal is, either. You fell in love with Floyd because he was so different to everyone else, without really realizing that his unpredictability would affect you too. It’s hard to remember that his actions don’t come from a place of malice or not caring, this is just how he is.

random headcanon: i like to think that she crocheted a baby blanket for each bau baby :,) jack was the first to get one, as well as a handful of handmade clothes, and she and hayley definitely cooed over that when she brought jack to visit the bau. then after henry, michael, kate’s baby, hank, and so on. i’m thinking specifically those big chunky blankets with granny squares that have different animals in the middle. she makes them more crochet gifts (usually sweaters) for every holiday

unpopular opinion: idk if this is unpopular tbh but goth penelope was the best look on the show. i prefer it to goth emily (even tho both are <333)
