I did do some writing today!!! I was hanging out in the library with my friend and we were vibing to my rainy day playlist IT WAS SO VIBES and while she did hw, I did some writing :D it's not a lot but I enjoyed writing it ^-^ it's the first time I've written first person in years, I used to swear against it but recently I've read a few first pov short stories for class n stuff and I've realised it can actually be used very effectively :0 so I wanted to try it!!

Leaves of auburn and ochre painted the sky above me, their scent of sweetness and musk pungent in the wind.

I sat there, listening to the soft creaking of the trees swaying, thinking of how small I felt in that moment. To these tall oak trees, who had all loved hundreds of years, my life was a simple speck, nothing more than one of those dew drops that they felt on their leaves in the early morning.

But it was too late to turn back now, his hand knocked on your front door and he patiently waited for someone to open it. He heard shuffling from the other side and the turning of a lock

The door handle shifted and the door opened, revealing Y/n. Hunter was stunned, his jaw almost dropping as he stared at you with wide eyes

"Oh, Hunter. I didn't expect you to come so early." You chuckled, making a h/c lock out if your face

"You look stunning." Hunter said under his breath, you bother looked at each other with stunned expressions. up first, Ma!

she's the youngest (and shortest) of the Stalwart Generals, and based off a lar gibbon. her main color is green (duh), and metals are always silver (because op loves color-coding stuff).

personality wise, i envision her as more of a playful type. she's funny and a little chaotic, and really popular amongst the island's youngsters. she tends to be pretty blunt at times and isn't afraid to speak her mind when the situation calls for it. usually, Ma's pretty quick to drop any pretenses of formality amongst her fellow generals — she sees her responsibility as huaguoshan's marshal less like a burden and more like being part of the King's extended family (which, let's be honest, it kind of is). she's rated a 6 out of 10 in mihou's uncle/aunt scale. only because she's a liiitle too loud for him

her weapon of choice is a shangshou dadao — basically, a real big sword. how does she wield it considering she's really short? she's got loooong arms. where does she store it? think something like Azure Lion's sword — it's got a magic pocket dimension of it's own. or something.

he's like. the second tallest of the generals, and looks-wise, mostly based off on new gods: nezha reborn version of wukong — while some other elements, like the red marking on his face come from snow macaques. his main color is teal, and metals (except for his jian) are champagne gold.

personality wise, Liu is very stern and reserved. he's extremely serious about his "job" as marshal and scarily orderly in everything he does. he might seem a little cold or distant at first, but he would kill and die for anyone he cares about (which, somewhat unfortunately, includes the entirety of ffm's inhabitants in one way or another). pretty soft spoken, Liu literally cannot raise his voice past a certain volume — that doesn't stop him from being the biggest gossip around. and that puts him down as a solid 9 out of ten in mihou's uncle/aunt scale. he's absolutely aware of that fact and cherishes it, even if he could not care less at first.

Liu's weapon of choice is the Jian. another type of sword, that while not as flashy as Ma's, certainly does its job. everything about it is pretty traditional; he's even got a whole scabbard getup for it, a tassel for tying at the pommel, et cetera, et cetera.

anyway, that's about it for the marshalls! next are generals Beng and Ba. they very much are developed but there's no art ready yet D: keep an eye out for them, because they will be posted too...eventually!

Hello! YES of course you can ask me questions abt the spongebob musical, that shit is my living breathing muse! I first got into it in 2017, would you believe, I had to put up with dodgy looking promo pics and grainy recordings of the Chicago run, terrible costumes n all before it finally came to Broadway :D I have memories of being in maths class and having I'm not a loser playing full volume from my alarm (a humbling experience). Favourite character is a tricky one, but I love Wesley Taylor's plankton so dearly, cringefail loser man <33 Also a big shoutout to patchy, underrated king - originally played by John Rua who also appeared in Hamilton, fun fact! There's far too many scenes I love to count, notoriously every bit of chemistry between Plankton (big guy) and Karen, Spongebob wearing his lil dress throughout daddy knows best, every reference to the show (lemon scented!) that makes the audience lose it. Also the entirety of bikini bottom day. Everytime. At this point I've watched it in English, German, and Portuguese and it still hits every single time.

I finally got to see the show live on tour in the UK last year and when I tell you it was the most ethereal experience of my Life!! I think I quite literally ascended at the chorus of Simple Sponge. Every friendship of mine is tested by whether they can sit through a 360p slime tutorial whilst I try to look like I'm not having the time of my life in the corner.

I'll forever mourn the fact that we never got a full Broadway cast recording bc they rlly did change the whole shebang when it came to adapting it from the Chicago run, justice for the voice of Jai'len Josey, she literally gives me chills every single time I hear her :,) I honestly adore the spongebob musical, sm that I intend to get a tattoo of the flowers in the backdrop in honour of it someday, I just won't mention certain pop culture events (ahem, ETHAN) when people ask abt it <3 Ty!!!

The month before your wedding passed by quick. You enjoyed all the planning for it you thought planning the wedding would be slow and extremely boring but with Sabine at your side it was quick, fun and easy. You talked with every tailor of the kingdom looking for the perfect wedding outfit. You spent some time in the castle kitchen tasting every cake the bakers came up with so you could choose the one you liked the most. But your favorite part was seeing the decorations of the ballroom and the flowers that would be prepared the day of the wedding. You spent every night of the month excited for your wedding. You dreamt of it and how both you and your fiancée would look and how perfect your wedding would be. And now you stood in front of your mirror dressed in all white you looked wonderful. You let out a happy sigh twirling a bit to get a full look at your outfit. Your father was in the room with you, and you saw him smile from the mirror. The king walked behind you and he held your shoulders looking over one at his and your reflections in the mirror. “What do you think? Good?” he was asking about the outfit you shook your head it wasn’t just good no it was “perfect” you looked to him. you kissed your father’s cheek thanking him for helping you pick out this gorgeous outfit. Avalon sighed this moment was bittersweet “it feels like just yesterday I was holding your hand while you were learning to walk and now-“ he paused clearing his throat. “I’m going to walk you down the aisle” he laughed softly shaking his head “where has the time gone.” You looked back at the mirror studying your father’s reflection you raised your hand to your left shoulder holding his hand. “don’t be sad father ” you looked back at him not wanting him to be sad if he cried you would too the man nodded “I’ll try not to my dear.” The king backed up and you turned around “ready?” your father asked, and you took a deep breath you were terrified but yes…”I’m ready.”

Your father walked you all the way to where the wedding would take place. As you walked the both of you talked about random memories and once you were in front of the doors of the room where the wedding would be you frowned. The king was about to knock lightly so the guard’s who stood on the other side of the doors would open them, but he noticed the look on your face. The man nudged you “what’s wrong?” he wondered what made you upset. You looked at him wiping your hands on your clothes they were sweaty. “I’m nervous” you confessed “this is such a big day and I’m so nervous” you had acted like you didn’t have any fear about the wedding but in truth you were terrified. Avalon raised an eyebrow “are you having second thoughts?” you quickly shook your head “no! no!” you raised your voice a bit out of panic which you quickly apologized for before you said. “I’m just terrified about how big all of this is” you sighed “I didn’t expect to have so many people here today and all those eyes will be on me and Sabine it’s terrifying to think of.” Your father smiled knowingly he understood your stage fright and he spoke about it “I understand I was the same too” he looked back at the doors “years ago I was in this room too all of the kingdom staring at me and my soon to be spouse” he looked back at you. You smiled nervously he kind of made it worse saying that all of the people stared at him back then too. When he noticed he spoke again “but as soon as I saw my spouse walking down the aisle to me nothing else mattered.” Avalon looked back at the doors again “focus on what matters my dear it might help your stage fright.” You took the advice and nodded wiping your palms again you knew what your father was talking about. You felt it in the arena with Sabine in that moment it felt like no one else existed just you and her. Your father gave you a few seconds to think before he said “ready?” you shook your head you weren’t saying no you were just shaking the nervousness away “ready.”

Sabine stood at the altar in the giant white and gold decorated room waiting for you. The wedding officiant got his things ready setting them up on a little podium while everyone waited for you to come into the room. Jay stood next to the knight at her right side and Katja to her left. Chiyo stood at the doors she would be flower girl. The squire wasn’t too happy about it, but Katja promised her some money for it. Sabine didn’t know how to feel about this moment she felt nervous, excited and scared. Fear came from her thinking about ‘what if’s’ the one that scared her the most was what if you bailed on her? You wouldn’t do that though…right? She bit her lip and Katja spoke noticing Sabine’s nervousness “quit biting your lip you’ll make it bleed” she whispered to the knight. Sabine looked to Katja when the woman pat her bicep the advisor decided to comfort the knight “whatever it is you’re thinking quit it.” Sabine groaned quietly “wonderful advice thank you Katja” the woman smirked, and she looked at Sabine’s outfit looking for any imperfection. “The wedding will go perfectly I know you’re nervous I don’t know about what but quit it everything will be fine Sabine.” The knight allowed Katja to smooth out an imperfection in her outfit. She smiled at the woman seriously thankful for 1) doing what she does best which is give some advice and 2) for catching the wrinkle in the outfit. Katja gave Sabine a few more words of comfort before the doors of the room squeaked and everyone looked to them. The guards on the doors held onto the handle of the door they stood at, and they opened them. Sabine felt her eyes get teary as she saw you walk in with your father. Chiyo walked in front of you both spreading flowers down the aisle. You looked to Sabine smiling and all her fear melted away and it was replaced with pure joy. She could hear people congratulate you when you walked down the aisle. Even the lord who Sabine invited to rub it into his face that she won, and he didn’t congratulated you and wished you happiness. Your father walked you all the way to the altar and once you both got there the king nodded at Sabine in respect and the knight did the same. Chiyo stood next to Katja, and she nudged her the advisor pointed to Jay and the general huffed handing Chiyo the money promised to her. The king took his seat next to his brother and King Sands and once he was seated the wedding officiant started speaking. You smiled at your soon-to-be wife holding out your hands you whispered “you look gorgeous” to her and she held your hands whispering “you look beautiful” back to you. The wedding took a while both you and Sabine listened to the officiant as he spoke and once he asked if Sabine took you as her spouse she nodded “I do.” The officiant smiled and he looked to Sabine “you may kiss your spouse.”

Sabine cupped your cheek, and she kissed you. The ballroom cheered raising their cups “cheers!” some said before lowering them and taking a drink. You were now celebrating your union in the ballroom. You both stood at the steps overlooking the room and everyone else danced and drank below the steps celebrating with you both. When she broke the kiss, you laughed you were so happy there were no words to describe the insane amounts of happiness you felt. The woman laughed with you she was just as happy as you were. You took her hand off your cheek so you could kiss her palm “want to dance?” you hadn’t had your first dance yet and you felt like having it now. Your wife nodded and she took her hand away from you so she could place it on your waist, and you placed your right on her shoulder. She held your left with hers and she kissed your forehead “you know how to dance right?” she was playing with you. You huffed “of course I know” you played along “do you?” Sabine shook her head, but she was still playing. You weren’t sure if the last part was a joke but when she started to lead your question was answered. You danced with her resting your head on her shoulder you let out a happy sigh and she smiled happy to hear you were happy as well. “I can’t believe I’m married to you” you closed your eyes letting her lead you. You put all your trust in Sabine, and she did not disappoint. The knight held you close to her, and she spoke “I can’t believe it either” she let out a hum she was thinking. “It feels like a dream” she kissed your temple and you nodded “like a fairytale I used to read as a child” you said. You opened your eyes looking to her “knight and heir cliché” she let out a quiet laugh and she nodded this was very cliché. “Well…I guess we are a little original” you closed your eyes again and she asked you how to which you answered, “no knight in my childhood fairytales rode a drake or had a plan as good as yours.” Sabine pats your side and you opened your eyes when you did, she backed up and you understood what she wanted. You backed up as well and spun around then you went back to how you were both dancing originally. “You thought my plan was good?” she asked you and you nodded “the greatest” you kissed her cheek. “For a plan that was badly and quickly drafted it turned out very good” your wife scoffed trying her hardest not to smile she mouthed ‘fuck you’ making you laugh. She was just playing with you and hearing you laugh made her smile she failed at pretending to be angry. You pat her shoulder, and you kissed her cheek again “thank you” you said to her, and she hummed “for what?” You answered her question “for your plan.” You looked down at the ballroom seeing the lord of the northern druids dance with a lady from his home “had you not come up with it I would have probably been up here unhappily married and dancing with him.” You looked back at her “thank you for all you did for me it truly does mean so much to me Sabine” you stopped dancing, and she stopped too wondering why you stopped. She watched as tears started to stream down your cheeks, she moved the hand on your shoulder to your face wiping your tears. Her care for you just made you cry harder you hugged her, and she hugged you back letting you cry. You then said something that made her want to cry too. In a shaky voice you said “I love you” to her. Sabine rubbed your back comforting you as you cried, and she couldn’t help but cry too. You wiped your tears, but it was no use they kept on coming you apologized for making her cry and she shook her head. She told you it was fine that she wasn’t crying because she was sad but because she was overjoyed. She kissed you and you kissed her back cupping her face with your hands and when she broke the kiss she said, “I love you.”

I’ve been thinking abt this since yesterday- tangled au! (major spoilers for tangled and tangled the series/rapunzel’s tangled adventure!)

so. for those who have watched tangled the series (tts) know that rapunzel has the power of the sundrop flower and that the flower has a counterpart, the moonstone. flower has healing, stone related to black rocks everywhere. this au has them swapped.

basically, Hugh is rapunzel. Sarah is eugene (goes by “adaman” instead of flynn), Ghetsis is mother gothel. (also pokemon exist bc why not)

when the queen is dying, instead of the healing potion w the flower, Ghetsis advises the king to get the moonstone and grind it into a potion. shabang, it works, Hugh is taken as a price, you know the story.

instead of rapunzel being used for her hair, Ghetsis trains Hugh to wield the power of the black rocks. He plans on making Hugh a soldier of some sorts when he’s 18 (he’s only 14 in the story). He shows Hugh pokemon battling, Hugh has a crazy strong team for someon his age. He stays in the tower w his pokemon.

Sarah is an orphan (her parents and sister are killed, rip) and she runs around stealing to live. She’s unaware of any other family she has, instead running from city to city. She’s got sparkle and solstice, but no other pokemon.

When she encounters Hugh in the tower, he’s outright hostile. She’s like “bro ur uncle ghetsis sucks, ur stuck in this tower dude,” and he refuses to leave. So, of course, she kidnaps him. Like a normal person. He uses the rocks to try to stop her, but injures her while she’s running away. He feels bad and fixes her wounds in that cave.

basically the rest of the plots the same so skipping to tts-

Hugh moves back into the castle w Sarah. His “attendants” are Gladion and Silver, who both play the role of Cassandra and Varian kinda. Sarah’s aunt lusamine is the royal advisor in the palace, meaning lillie and gladion live there too. Of course, when Sarah realizes that they’re her family and never took her in, she’s angry and spiteful towards them. Arven is dragged in later as Lance, who Sarah had worked with in the past. They also learn they’re related (small world right??) and he’s invited to live in the palace too.

Instead of Varian betraying them, it’s Silver. He learns abt Giovanni being something evil (whether it’s like a mob boss or like a god I haven’t decided) and feels it’s his destiny to betray them. He rlly doesn’t want to, but Giovanni speaks to him in visions/dreams and convinces him.

skipping forwards again. the keeper of the sun drop (whose the moonstone guy and Eugene’s dad originally) is Adaman, revealing that he was Sarah, Gladion (, Lillie), and Arven’s ancestor and that the power of the flower has kept him alive.

Anything having to do with touch. I'm a sucker for physical gestures, so anything that involves details like brushing someone's hair out of their eyes, hooking a tentative pinky around someone else's hand, it doesn't need to be overt to get me in my feels every single time.

😈 Has there been a point in a story where you did something just to be playfully mean to your readers?

Yes! I threatened a major character death in [though I've closed my eyes, I know who you pretend I am] late in the final (12th) chapter lmao

I knew that being that late into the fic most people would've forgotten what the specific tags were and even less would be willing to scrolling all the way back up to check lol

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

Like I said in the first Q, touch is a big thing for me. Eyes and anything having to do with vision also tends to be a big one, if you read a fic with both of those elements there's a decent chance I wrote it.

As far as overarching things, I prefer to write scenery over dialogue, and put a heavy emphasis on describing what the characters are feeling/thinking over having them verbally express it.

🎢 Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?

I wanna say my [detroit become human au] has shit hit the fan pretty quickly. The fic opens with the conflict and it takes a few chapters for the reader to get any context, but once you've got it, going back to the start just makes your heart break.

I had a sculk!Grian fic from like, I wanna say October last year that I was 1k words into that just. Disappeared. No clue where it went or how I lost but, but in hindsight, it wasn't my best work.

I'm still a bit sad to have lost it, but considerably more proud of the things I've written since.

💖 What made you start writing?

Wayyyyy back when I was 12/13 I used to be big into rp, and I came into the realization that the rps I was doing could just as easily be formatting into fics.

None of those fics were ever published, but getting to learn how to edit and rewrite scenes that had been planned out with another person made me want to start creating stories of my own.

💌 How do you feel about comments and feedback?

Love love LOVE comments and feedback. Literally getting a comment is like a serotonin boost directly into my veins to write more, esp comments that'll point out specific scenes or moments/lines they liked.

someone pointed out that they liked the way I described fresh hickeys like blooming violets and I haven't been able to stop thinking about that comment ever since.

❌ What’s a trope you will never write?

That's a good question.... I'm trying to think of one that isn't like, a blatantly obvious icky trope.

I'm not sure if it counts as a trope, but Y/N fics. Not only are their primary function to act as fan service, they end up coming off very RPF to me which I'm not a fan of.

Oh, also RPF. Any fic i write has to do 100% with the characters those people portray, not the real person.

🧐 Do you spend much time researching for your stories?

Depends on the fic! For my [actor au] I've just been kinda flying by the seat of my pants, doing the occasional googling but not much. The opposite of this would be my [detroit become human au] where I literally rewatched jacksepticeye's d:bh playthrough and scoured wikis to make sure i'm describing androids correctly.

tl;dr: generally no, only as needed unless I get fixated on it.

🦅 Do you outline fics or fly by the seat of your pants?

Fly by the seat of my pants, but i'm trying to change this! For my multi-chaptered fics I've started actually planning out future events, and even for this one big one shot im working on, i've got an outline in the works.

...though generally, i don't plan. it's a bad habit.

👀 Tell me about an up and coming wip please!

GLADLY so speaking of that big one shot, it's going to be a boatem superhero au, i've started outlining it and getting my concepts together, i'm very excited for it!

here's a snippet:

It was fairly obvious that the Mayor had pulled some strings to get Scar to this stage; once a nobody vigilante who seemed more preoccupied with dazzling the camera over saving lives, Scar's public image had taken a hard left turn during the past few campaigning months.

The situation was more of an open secret— it was all too convenient for Scar, who practically lived in the Mayor's pocket, to be joining the city's most elite crime-fighting team.

it's VERY early in development so don't expect this one for a while tho

🤗 What advice would you give to new fanfic writers that are just getting started?

I'd say figure out your character's voice is a big one. It's easy to fall into fanon tropes and while they're fun, they can cause lots of warping in the way you write your own fics, which might make them sound off.

So look out for fanon tropes! Personally I've run into people who make Scar very sweet and innocent, to the point of dusting his hands clean of blame. It's an easy hole to fall into, and no one should fault a writer for falling into tropes.

There's a line to walk, and I find that watching content relating to that character really helps shaping that "inner voice".

Also, get someone to proof read your work who is willing to point out your mistakes. Editing/betaing is never meant to be a personal attack, but rather to make sure that the fic you present to the rest of the world is cohesive and clear.

💞 Who’s your comfort character?

Scar! He just gets me fr. He's one of my favorite guys to write because of how versatile and how much variety he has. He could be a silly salesman one minute, and a quietly scary assassin the next. Whatever the bit or joke is, he fully commits to it, often to the detriment of himself, but god does it make for good content.

Also he has a really good narration voice ok

Grian, mostly because he comes easiest to me! There's such a sense of endless potential when I get ready to write him, and like, idk what it is, but longing too?

We've been getting it pretty heavy w/ his whole "I Miss Mumbo" campaign but like, grian to me feels like someone who's always thinking about reaching a hand out, and pulls it back at the last second. It's very relatable.

🤯 What’s a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?

Weirdly enough, it's fluff. I always feel compelled to write stories with some level of conflict or it's not "satisfying" to me. I love reading the genre, but for whatever reason when I write it, I get in my head about if it's "good enough" or not without conflict. I'm working on that lol

💔 Is there a fic of yours that broke your heart?

i'm going to give two because i do what i want. the first being [It's Only Logical by TSTrashCaptain] which is a sanders sides fic that to this day, i can only dream of writing something so good. tw for themes of abuse and nsfw at times, but god. just reading the title again puts a knot in my heart in the best way possible.

now, this fic. [your heart rots in my hands by thepigeoncat]. this fic slaughtered me the first time i read it. i left a long ass comment on it. tw for major character death, but this is the perfect last life scarian fic.

it's beautiful, and tragic, and it makes me feel as though the world has truly ended /pos. please go read it.
