Free Frankenstein Typeset

So I did a typeset for Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. Well, typeset(s). I went through about three different versions trying to figure out a style or a theme, before I finally, finally settled on anatomical asses 😆. Anyway, this half letter (letter folio) typeset is FREE for your personal use! Bookbind it, print it out and burn it, what have you. Just please leave credit and consider dropping a like/reblog if you can!

IM FELL English used for the body font. IM FELL series is definitely one of my favorites for almost everything. And for the "body" bodies, I used some wonderful public domain illustrations by Reijer Stolk I found on rawpixel.com.

The Hand That Feeds Typesets

Here are the typesets for The Hand That Feeds by @rollercoasterwords​

I have put together a few different versions for this fic, all of which can be accessed in this google drive folder. More information about each version can be found below:

In the folder there is:

PDF files of the full fic, as well as it split into two parts. The PDFs marked as ‘pocketbook’ are the ones I recommend using if you are printing using a site such as Lulu. These are 114mm x 181mm, which is the same as most penguin classics, and I chose this because these have been specifically typeset for thisisanatydpage on tiktok, who is making covers for it (so go check them out!)

The other PDFs and word documents are formatted as A4 (so with lulu will print in A5), I make my typesets using a guide specifically for bookbinding, so print directly from the word documents if you are binding these yourself. They are in signatures of 24. The guide I use is by @armoredsuperheavy​. Also feel free to download the word doc and mess around with the formatting to your specifications. i feel like the way I typeset is quite specific (because I prefer to hand bind them myself) and might not work for everyone (font size, margins, etc) so I am happy to change some stuff if needed.

Page Counts (all are multiples of 24):

Part One (Pocketbook) - 768

Part Two (Pocketbook) - 648

Part One - 480

Part Two - 408

Full typeset - 888

If you prefer a thinner book, in the pocket book size, lmk and I can also split it into three parts instead of just two (with the current page count for the pocketbook size they are each about as thick as the penguin edition of the secret history). Each book also has an appendix at the end with all of the chapter summary's, start notes, and end notes.

If you want to print from the PDF files to hand bind (this can be easier if you don’t have access to Microsoft word) select portrait orientation, 2 pages per sheet, and flip on short edge.

If there are any issues with this typeset that I missed, or it doesn't work for your  creation method, let me know and I will see what I can do to fix it :D

I’m getting really into binding my own fanfics. The problem is I hate the typesetting portion of the task. I’ve been able to find some typesets for fics I like on tumblr and stuff from stumbling across them but does anyone have recommendations for people or accounts that often post typesets? Would love it if someone could help me out 💜

God this is a gorgeous way to start a book. I wish more authors and publishers had at least a little bit of fun with their typesetting like this.

A random, opinionated reader who believes others would be interested in their thoughts. You can find me on Goodreads, AO3, and the Storygraph if you care about some of the things I read and want to read. But I spend most of my time on Goodreads and The Storygraph. I also read almost anything, so feel free to recommend something in the "ask me" area. I also read ARCs (Advanced Readers Copy) on here, and I'll make a post specifying if I am reading an arc. Posts I make here will be published on Goodreads and The Storygraph.

I also like fanfiction and book binding, so when I make a typeset, I'll post about it and find a way to share it on here. Of course, all the type sets are free, and if I see anyone commissioning and charging for them, they will be taken down immediately.

Free Jekyll & Hyde Typeset

This is a typeset I did for The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson with a transcript from Project Gutenburg. It's set for letter quatro, and I used like eight different fonts for the entirety of this novella 😆. Anyway, here is the link to the typeset if anyone would like to use it for bookbinding! Ogni Parte È Viva (Every Part Is Alive) Typesets

Some lovely typesets for Ogni Parte È Viva (Every Part Is Alive) by @euphorial-docx. Thank you for the request and I hope you all enjoy. I haven’t read this fic yet but from what I saw while typesetting it looks amazing.

There are 2 MS Word Documents and 1 PDF in this google drive folder. One document is the typeset in A5 and the other is 6x9 inches. The PDF is 6x9.

The typeset in 6x9 has 480 pages, which makes signatures of 24. The A5 document hasn’t been adjusted for an even number of signature as that is the doc I use for all my early formatting and have left for you to make adjustments to.

Please use my typesets to print and bind legally. And as always if there are any issues with the typeset or other sizes that you would like please let me know so I can sort it out! Enjoy!

I don't know how everyone isn't also always constantly thinking about how burial rites seem to be potentially one of the few things Siffrin instinctively remembers about their culture. But rest assured. I am in fact always thinking about it.
