okay okay so jumping to special occasion drink, walk with me here: there's this boba/tea shop near my house that makes like. truly god-tier drinks. i'm talking "ruin you for all other offerings" type beat. all of their teas are made with real tea leaves, not powders, their fruit teas/drinks have loads of real fruit in them, all their toppings are made fresh daily, and if you try something new and don't like it they'll make you something else free of charge. i love them.

for all that they are literally five minutes from my house i... do not go as often as i would like, because it is possible i have the slightest touch of agoraphobia. now that i am thinking about it though i am craving it so bad and might try to go soon ≽^•⩊•^≼ ₊˚⊹♡

I want to know what mcs the ros prefer

I'm a bit hesitant to answer this sort of ask, since I don't want to alienate anybody's MCs!! The ROs can (and will, obviously) fall for any and all MCs regardless of the specifics...

...but also, I do think the ROs have turn-ons/traits they find appealing. So!!

Beck- people shorter than he is, MCs with high reckless/playful/brash stat, and high charisma MCs. They also would think tattoo artist is the coolest MC job, and find the monstrous magic path the most attractive!

Croft- MCs with high brash/cautious/believer stats, as well as high weird and high smarts MCs. They also find high skeptics strangely interesting (and also annoying lol). They like journalists, law students, & tattoo artists! They prefer the necromancy magic path.

Jay- also people shorter than they are (though taller MCs make them blush so it isn't that much of a preference), MCs with high genuine & friendly stats, high composure and charisma stats, and low weird. They like teachers & firefighters. They don't like any magic, so inherently prefer the resistant path.

Perri- MCs with high friendly & playful & believer stats. Preference for high composure and weird. They, of course, like podcaster MCs the most out of all of the jobs--but also find journalists interesting. They prefer precognition when it comes to the magic types!

Ravi- he likes brash MCs and aloof MCs--he likes anyone who will fight with him. He also finds high genuine MCs sweet. He prefers high weird, high tough, high composure. He finds low charisma MCs funny. He has no job preference, and likes fog-touched magic best.

I was thinking about the language barrier's reader a bit and thought that the inclusion of certain types of jewelry on reader looked odd to Hylians was really neat! So I looked around to see what types of jewelry Hylians could wear and the most I see them wearing are gold necklaces, bracelets, and the occasional jewel earring. Which isn't a very diverse jewelry set, but it is interesting. It got me thinking if the reader wears more gothic or alternative types of jewelry like studded rhinestone belts or spiky chained collars or even an industrial piercing on one if their ears. It can also add to the group's suspicions since they're timelines are a lot more fantastical and dark/gothic elements are more see of as apart of the evil side. They could've thought that reader was a spy or smthn! Thoughts?

anyway i posted those cz of the purpose vs death thing. this interests me. i have always found the classical depictions of good and evil to be Strange coz theyre just so reductive of concepts that honestly dont even actually exist? imo at least. this is all opinion stuff frm here obviously and while im interested in philosophy im not super well read on it, im just some guy in its bedroom saying words in an order. so take it with a grain of salt. however i too am prone to long inner monologues about existence so adam warlock is NOT special. good and evil dont exist. to me. theyre a mishmash of nuanced topics tht are literally just 'idk man it depends' and it all depends on a LOT of factors and then theres personal reasoning and personal perceptions of the world and ofc its easy to look at people irl and be like 'this guy is just evil' and sometimes it is very hard to argue with that bt i think pinning that sort of thing on just 'theyre evil' is genuinely defeating the point. which is that literally anyone can do any of that shit, good or bad. theres nothing inherent in anyone that is good or evil. i love adam because hes such a literal depiction of that idea, hes not good and hes not evil. hes perfectly neutral, who then CHOOSES to do good because he believes that its right and that its his duty, theres no outside force or inner quality forcing him to be that way. (keep in mind for the next part that i havent properly seen the goddess yet. ill be coming back to this after ive finished those comics probably) to me, the goddess and magus are parts of him that he subconsciously chose to partition based on his own perception of good and evil. especially since in his own words 'good and evil do not exist, there is only purpose or death'.

now heres where i get to the point: the magus and the goddess have ambitions and a will to live and goals because they have purpose. their 'goodness' or 'evilness' is totally irrelevant. warlock excised all ambition from himself. i think thats the part he has issues with himself for, because hes seen what his ambition can do in the future. THATS the problem, to him. if hes happy with what he has and only works towards his duty then he'll never do anything 'evil'. so yes. warlock has no will to live, no dreams, nothing to live for, because he forcibly removed the parts of him that did so that he could be a better messiah.

for magus specifically, and god this fucks me up a little honestly bt i just rly love magus im not even gonna lie to u gang i might be a little kinnie about it. thats a whole other topic wrt gender and having pride in being socially unacceptable or a 'monster' tht is for another post if anyone does want to hear. the point is just i have thought abt this A Lot.

magus' goal is the right to exist. it WAS adam, it FELT how miserable they were and wants out. its the selfish part of adam that he needs to stop himself from self flagellating, to take care of himself a little more. i dont have a screenshot bt thats what i rly loved abt the gotg game too, that warlock straight up says he misses magus. how r u supposed to function without the selfish part of urself. this is why i dont like the straightforward idea of sins or 'evils' because u need ALL of those things. being 100% selfless is not good, being 100% selfish is not good. etc. to borrow the christian sins, u need pride in urself for self esteem, u need sloth to recuperate and calm urself, u need lust literally because humans are animals and theres this thing called having fun, wrath can be a form of kindness on behalf of others and urself. etc etc. u get my point here. there is literally nothing wrong with any of these bad traits tht are seen as negative or unwelcome in society. adam just sees them as undesirable and treats magus accordingly, and then u can start having the nature vs nurture conversation and what they did with magus in gotg v5 and thats all a little beyond the scope of this post rn.

so yeah. warlock wants to kill himself and magus has hopes and dreams and a will to live and wants the right to exist. obviously hes still a villain and we love that for it, violence is always the answer etc etc, bt i think its a fun way to think abt it all.

yes i do...*ominous* i've been cooking this up over the past few days so buckle up mwehehe

🎸he has two stomachs, he grew it as he grew in size, hes constantly hungry (cant eat enough bc lack of food in the blacksite, also pre lockdown urbanshade couldnt care enough to give him more food aswell as give him food accustomed to his dietary needs, both human and animalistic- his esophagus also just cant handle big portions of food, its still relatively human sized unlike stomach) ,,, as he grew it he also grew partial animalistic appetite (craves meat a lot) but still has human appetite as well, like vegetables, bread etc. - because of his meat cravings he usually has to tear himself away from the bodies he scavenges from, he has very moral distrust towards cannibalism

🎸his hair is really gross LOL he was barely able to shower pre-lockdown and now its even harder,,, he only has his fingers and water, (he COULD use some stuff in the medkit but its unlikely??) the water is most likely salt which makes it even worse, he can filter it but filtering water by hand is very time consuming and he has to drink most of it anyways (idc that its canon that he showers, why would urbanshade keep their water running if they knew sebastian is still in the blacksite…/lh)

🎸his handwriting is very bad, his main 2 arms only have four fingers and are webbed, also have grown in size (very hard to hold a pencil, esp a normal sized one) his third arm has five fingers but he doesnt know how to write with it properly, also its injured duh

🎸his eyes dull when he sleeps, it almost looks like hes dead

🎸i feogrt the word for it but its this thing snakes do where they lift their bodies up to appear bigger, he does this when you enter his shop and it gives him major back pain o.:{ he usually moves close to the ground, like propelling himself forward with his arms (crawling?)

🎸he has pupils, they are very big all the time, but they dilate extremely with intense emotion (very tiny)

🎸his eyes and teeth changed first. his teeth changed over time though due to the amount of dna he was mutated with

🎸he hates the smell of disinfectant- it reminds him too much of his experimentation. the only time he can bare being around it is when he’s downing the bottles of rubbing alcohol to get himself drunk, regular alcohol doesn’t do the trick anymore due to his size

🎸 he HATES his teeth- how they look on him, how sharp and monstrous they are. he constantly tries to grind/crack/break them with bone or rock. it hurts, ofcourse (because why wouldnt it?) but anything to make himself just a tad more comfortable in his own skin (even if he knows it wont help him feel better at all) ^ this plays into his eating as well,, tearing so easily into the food he eats scares him. this applies especially towards meats / fish

🎸he’s only aggressive because he *has* to be. he is not a natural fighter- he is only defending himself, an example is when he shoots player/throws player when climbed on,, he doesn’t want to kill/hurt expendables (which is why he doesn’t shoot you at first when you flash him with the beacon ). he doesn’t want to be vulnerable again, especially to the people that are literally sent by urbanshade to take the only thing he needs to survive (crystal)

🎸he *hates* water , swimming is a very much hated task of his, he tries to avoid it unless necessary (being submerged underwater in general though is one of his biggest fears)

🎸sometimes he likes to draw on pai’s screen, he obviously isn’t very good but neither of them have protested…

💿 bonus: sometimes seb likes to hang out in p.ai.nters containment, he likes to put his head on top of pai and feel the hummmm. he also likes the warmth its nice to him :)

when Toriel says that this makes seven "weak", Undyne bursts in with a distracting display of strength, trying to dismiss the topic. you could make the argument that she just wants to defuse Toriel from being mad at Asgore, but she has a seriously pissed look on her face. as if she took that personally, but also didn't know how to argue with it...

I especially love the dilf duo 🤭 and I got me thinking about what if their little baby wasn’t in college but already in the work force? Like for example I went straight to work after high school cause my family couldn’t afford college. How would they go about their baby already being so independent all their adult life? Having their own place/bills to pay and a job that probably takes up most of their time? Someone who’s probably even more hesitant to expect that they wanna take care of everything cause it’s just not realistic to think about that when rent is due and the sink in the kitchen is leaking. Most fics only write about college!reader and I hardly see anything about the more realistic scenario of reader already having to work to put a roof over their head.
