@mitchmotch and i decided its not that wwx was in the business exactly, but more that he spent those 13 years trying to Find actual lwj because he loves and misses him, before getting involved with the wens distracted him until he completely lost all traces he had of lwj. so he eventually gave up the active search, but always hoped to one day hear news about him

it wasnt until things got incredibly difficult for the wens that they resolved to more desperate measures. in this au, wwx never lost his golden core, BUT he still developed gui dao as a necessity after he moved the wens to the burial mounds as the first safe place he could think of. he tries not to use gui dao too much, as he's not yet 100% sure how to ensure it doesn't fuck with his golden core OR send him into a qi deviation lol. so staying in the burial mounds is. Not The Best

this all means: he and the wens Need food and money to move somewhere far far away, Somehow. theyve got little a-yuan to take care of, after all!

so when they run into zhen yazhu(amnesiac lwj) and wwx sees the similarities and the reward, he knows what he has to do. it takes about a day and a half to convince wen qing, but she knows perfectly well they won't last much without some form of help, so she gives in. wwx tries to reassure her by saying thats totally lwj, trust me jie, if anyone knows him, its me, dont worry about it. but even he has trouble believing himself fully at first (even though it really is lwj!)

🥹 tysm!! i’d been chewing over that gorgeous photo of lando where he looks like a cyborg for ages, so it was fun to finally get the art spark back and do something with it, and i’m so happy w how it turned out!

yesssss let’s talk about oscar!! the fic is actually from his pov and centres around his career. he’s still racing for mclaren (only they’re called McLaren-Tech now) and, like in real life, he had a very promising junior career and is managed by mark webber. as an active driver, his cybernetic implants are heavily restricted by the FIA, so he has the following:

a standard neural link with ocular chip that allows him to do things like use his DNA signature to authenticate things (e.g. purchases, contracts), make payments and credit transfers, and the ocular chip is like an augmented reality overlay to his left eye that allows him to make video calls, see maps etc. the FIA mod to this also gives him essentially a HUD overlay of what he’d see on the steering wheel display

palm smartlink sensors that link him to the car and allow the car to react to him on a pre-conscious level (e.g. before manual input) — this works in conjunction with a headset he wears beneath his helmet (called a “wreath”, cribbed from cyberpunk 2077 parlance) that allows the car to read his brainwaves and anticipate his input using things like his direction of gaze and intention

various bits of FIA-approved McLaren-Tech software, some of which are semi-permanently installed in his brain via his neural chip and some are able to be taken in and out at will, using the ports (like USB slots) he has behind one ear.

he’s not really allowed anything else because the FIA controls it all tightly, which is why he’s fascinated by how tricked out lando is and how much more cyborg-ised (??? lol) he is. he’s quite sheltered in many ways — in this ‘verse he still went to the renault academy but it was like a residential program and he’s never really known anything but being a kid and then being a racer, whereas lando has had this whole few wilderness years (in my head they’re a bit older than they are now, lando around 28 and oscar around 26) after he had to quit racing and kind of went a bit feral for a while before he got serious about becoming a race engineer/coach. oscar’s never really had much of a life outside of racing, he’s never had a real relationship and doesn’t really have any hobbies etc, his life feels a bit empty and lonely although he hasn’t really characterised it to himself like that — he just doesn’t really think about it, until lando comes along.

‼️i ise the "curve" thing to edit screenshots most editing apps have it but the specific one i use is called photo editor amd has a blue icon

im going to use a melty kitchen screenshot as an example since its an old mv and doesnt have any special shaders or filters

these are 2 different settings i have saved (made for mitsuru) ‼️

theres these different tabs with little circles ‼️ some things i always do are using the rgb center circly to make the colors more intense and move red upper right corner circle slightly to the left to make it feel more "alive"❓but the rest depends a lot on the picture ‼️ generally green is for making the colors more intense but shouldnt be used to make it lighter because it leaves a green tint / i dont always use blue when i do its to add a little purple 🤔

the little circles control different parts of the image but i dont know how to explain 🤔 its mostly experimenting i think but i can share more screenshots for you to copy (i got this phone in october so only edits made after that 🙁)

i consider blonde hair the easiest to edit theres almost no way to make it look bad while for mitsuru and tsukasa its important to keep the contrast

orange and black hair are the hardest 😢 light blue is mostly about not using too much red to avoid it becoming white (but i love red ..

heres a more complicated one ,‼️ settings made for newer mvs (since hajimari no fantasia) dont look good on everything even if its the same character since theyre more specific

I love every Newt story you write but I find myself coming back to I Still Exist and Have you ever seen a happy ending a lot. I relate to the reader in ISE so much, in how she can feel abandoned and lonely and forgotten, even if it is because of some trivial thing like Queenie cancelling their cafe trip. And the happy ending in the HYESAHP just!!!! How caring and worried and protective Newt is in the underground station and the fluffy ending just makes up for all the pain earlier lol.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH this is such a sweet message. Thank you so much for sending it. I’m glad you found some joy in that series!! It’s really near and dear to my heart, and honestly one of my favorite series that I’ve finished. TRCNG is a group that debuted on October 10, 2017 under TS Entertainment. Their name, TRCNG (some pronounce it as 'tracing', but apparently, it is supposed to be T-R-C-N-G; lately, a few members have been shortening "ti-al-si-en-ji" to "tyalssenji" ) is an acronym for Teen Rising Champions in a New Generation.
