I’m SO tired of seeing ugly ass Homelander edits to the most boring rap/phonk and ton of filters/slomo.

Half of the Homelander hashtag on TikTok is filled with this dogshit and it pisses me off so much. Not just from an aesthetic point of view (which is an achievement itself, knowing how plain and hideous these videos are), but also from a story telling one. He’s not a “based sigma”. He is literally the most pathetic crybaby on the show with mommy issues. How do you misinterpret the character SO badly 😭 Season 4 literally ended with him crying on the floor, until a black woman, who openly calls out racists, saved his ass and became if not his equal, then his boss. I’m like 99% sure idiots who make this shit either don’t watch the show or skip like half of the scenes HL is in.

I do know that ugly and boring edits is a thing for the majority of the boys TikTok fans (since most of them are men), but I genuinely haven’t seen this amount of cringe alpha edits with any other character, except HL. They also attract the worst possibly imaginable kinds of “fans” on the show, who bullied women like Erin. And the thing is, these corny ass tiktoks overshadow really good and talented creators, who actually put effort into their HL edits and don’t see him as a Fortnite skin. We seriously need more coquette HL edits to scare them off + bully editors of the “sigma” HL tiktoks, so this atrocity would stop and the actual good edits would come on top

My thoughts on the triple header:

I don’t even know where to begin, I think we all got overdosed by lestappen content in the last three weeks. Starting with Charles’ Pole in Austin and with him and Max talking before doing their interviews and clicking the picture for the top three in qualifying. 

Mexico was a total banger with lestappen being posted and mentioned on RBR socials, F1 socials, Max’s inchident tiktok (that man knows it by heart, obsessed he is). And we also got lestappen podium. The smiles they had on their faces during that podium. 

Brazil qualification, fantastic (although extremely chaotic!)

Lestappen P1-2 and not to forget, Charles’ Austin 2022 sunset lap finally got a parallel, with Max’s Brazil 2023 storm lap (he was sunshine, I was midnight rain- these two are so Taylor coded). And the post qualification debrief? All that chit-chatting, Max ignoring the interviewer cause he was busy talking with Charles. Charles after finishing his interview, immediately walking towards Max, who was literally staring at him and not to forget that when Max was getting interviewed, Charles was just three feet away from him. Charles reaching out for Max’s waist during the top three qualification picture?? I can’t believe Charles initiated it this time. Poor Lance though, he now understands what third-wheeling is. Let’s all welcome to the third-wheel group with Checo, Lewis, Carlos, Lando and whoever else has faced it. 

RBR having Charles’ data on their pitwall? What is going on? Lestappen being mentioned on F1 official page again? Ferrari posting the inchident meme on their socials. MAX CALLING CHARLES, “CHARLIE?” I always knew that Max is the typa guy to call Charles, “Charlie!” It’s one of my headcanons. “Charlie, I have some space for you,” this is gonna be ingrained in my brain forever.

Also, when Charles came in the top three for sprint in Austin (I think), Max had his arm wrapped around Charles’ waist and today when Lando and Checo were in the top three, Max held his trophy instead of resting his arms around them. SUS IF YOU ASK ME. 

Now, as a Charles fan first and foremost, this triple header was not at all good. The disqualification cause of the plank issues, FUCK YOU FERRARI. The only good thing out of the disqualification was the rise of 1644 nation. I absolutely love the development in their relationship. With the collaborative post and with Charles’ weird ass blue filter on it too. Lmao. And then the picture of Lewis took of Charles in Mexico, WHICH HE POSTED ON HIS MEXICO DUMP. Insane! And Charles even said that him and lewis have to definitely play chess together someday. I’m gonna cry, I like need a pic or video biblically of that.  

And now the booing that Charles faced in Mexico, absolutely disgusted by that behaviour. It was not Charles’ fault. He didn’t deserve the booing. He couldn’t even celebrate it properly on the podium. 

And Brazil today, did I mention, FUCK YOU FERRARI?? I’m literally one more vein popping away before I fly to Maranello, Italy and stab the people responsible for today’s disaster. What has Charles ever done to you? For him to receive this sort of treatment? Honestly, half of their team should be fired, ASAP. 

Out on formation lap is just embarrassing from Ferrari’s side, why the fuck didn’t they check the car?? “We’re checking” is not a good answer. 

I’m literally writing an email to Piero Ferrari after this rant. Strict action has to be taken at Scuderia Ferrari, starting with firing Xavi and everyone who created sf-23. I don’t give fucks at this moment. Happy to know that Charles has stopped wearing those ugly ass fuck red quail pants though. I’m loving him in the non-ferrari merch.

I always make comments to my friends about how ugly I am in photos and videos but I don't think they truly understand or comprehend how truly disgusted I feel with myself after seeing them take a picture or video of me.

It makes me want to crawl out of my skin because is that how I actually look to people. It makes me feel so fucking ugly and disgusting. It's worse when they look fine and then there's me. It genuinely makes me very uncomfortable but they think I'm exaggerating/ joking. It's fine if they use a filter but they insist on no filters and flash cameras.

Been a double handful of hot minutes, hasn't it? That's always been my problem wiv blogs and social media-y type stuff, unless i'm doing a thing that has reporting built-in, there's just not all that much going on in my life to talk about. And as for the world, better hands than mine have said their piece, and there's not much more that i can add except for fuck's sake watching Gaza be turned into an abattoir and know that my own country has sunk itself in the blood way past eyeballs deep is... i don't even have fucking words it makes me so angry.

i haven't touched LBP in, i dunno, whenever i wrapped those LBP3 plats. Burnout from that little adventure, plus the lack of a thing-to-do-for-others, and just the crushing weight of pretty much everything going on; it's hard to feel that spark that lets me just sink time into making something.

i did have a neat idea, a project that's really too big for my abilities, but more importantly for my time/energy reserves, but it is a neat idea, so i throw it out to y'all, and if anyone wants to run wiv it, well, i had my chance.

The idea was to set up an alternate world review show. Same format as my normal one. Building out levels (well, level chunks) playing through them as though they were on the servers, and then doing the takeaway. But, chopping out big cuts from the recording footage, and stringing it together wiv tv static segments, toss the video grain filter overtop (the one from ShareFactory, you know?), ugly it up to look like half-corrupted video files (or, more specifically Made-for-TV half-corrupted video files). Go wiv the conceit that "someone" was sending me these weird-ass things to my personal email, and i didn't know what else to do wiv them, so i put them up on my YouTube. Post the episodes "out of order" (since the LBsP/LBsA episodes all had dates in their titles). Build the story through little things mentioned during the gameplay/takeaway segments that they were from a world just slightly off from this one (i'd the idea that the point of departure would be Hinckley Jr.'s assassination attempt of Reagan having had been successful in that world, close enough to our own timeline that you probably don't wind up wiv too many major changes, and post-WWII so you don't end up wiv "and the Nazi's won... somehow... look... we're just strangely invested in the Nazi's winning WWII").

i don't really know where i'd go wiv it, which was one big reason i decided not to do it, but i like the possibilities inherent. Also that it's technically doable. You get those creepypastas about, like, a lost tv show, or movie, or whatever, but you've got to be able to make that thing, along wiv whatever else you're doing, aye? At least a facsimile of it. At least wiv LBP, all the making-thing stuff is right there. No need to worry about sourcing period-appropriate newsprint and figuring out type-setting to get your fake article to look right.

Course, there's also the other big reason i set the idea back down. Even accounting for knowing that i'd be cutting bits out of the video and therefore not need to make full levels that connect coherently, i'd still need to make enough of a level for, say, a minute-and-a-half of gameplay footage, plus any segments i'd highlight wiv b-roll in the takeaway, in a different style each episode (and, if i really wanted to shoot for verisimilitude, in styles appropriate for LBP1, 2, and 3, and for double-word-score verisimilitude, in styles appropriate to each game at particular points in their life-cycles). Like, that's an awful lot of work. It might be doable, and doable well, as a one-person project, but not as a one-risuko project.

But, yeah, that was the idea i was kicking around a few weeks back. i'd even got up to early scripting/world-building/sketching before, blessedly, for once, before i got tits deep into it, the parts of my brainmeats that don't want me to sink all of my time and energy and emotional reserves into something that, in the final analysis, is a very-involved in-joke shitpost stepped in and said "hold up lil' buckeroo, that looks like you're setting up a very convoluted way of self-harm, maybe wanna hold off a mo'". Which, you know, fair.

In happier news, i watched Tekkon Kinkreet again for the first time in forever. Goddamn, but it is still gorgeous.

Watched this Henry II docudrama while working on stuff yesterday and as u all know I love seeing what ppl do with the reenactor drama while Dan Jones walks around like a badboy at Chinon.

The thing is I've been so spoiled by the ugly haircuts and colorful stage camp toot toot music of The Devil's Crown that going to this SUPER grey and gritty modern realism filter is a whiplash haadjdjdidid. Also I realized they recycled a lot of this footage into the Secrets de Histoire video about Eleanor lmaoooo

The narrator talks in very serious voice about how THIS FAMILY DRAMA IS MORE BLOODIER AND DRAMATIC than FICTION which true I suppose but also to me it's Funny. It's Bathos.

We have Eleanor being the Evil Woman in the Yaoi shot here between Henry and Becket

Becket looks EVIL in all his shots and they play like the most foreboding haunting music it's like God damn u guys don't have ANY lighting whatsoever. Bc he comes across so sinister when they get to the part about Young Henry's dadson marriage coronation and they talk Abt Becket being uninvited it sounds like he's Maleficent or something..should show up in announced just to CURSE him (tbh he kind of did that with the excommunication lmaooo)

We get to see Henry Junior ofc which I'm always like yayyyyy it's my glup shitto...this doc really leans on that "Criticizing Henry re his interpersonal faults and internal personality" kind of motivation for his actions which I'm like ehhhh ofc things are more complex politically and I can't help but feel after reading Strickland's TYK book it's more hmmm. But anyways this distracts from the important things which is:

Narrator sticks pretty much to Actual Factual things that happens and the actor scenes follow suit BUT THEN! THERE IS SUDDENLY A FANFICTION (preceded by narrator going "one could only imagine what the heated conversations were like")

The dark ass lighting is annoying as hell but basically Young Henry bursts into Henry's room to be mad about Chinon (Mirabeau and Loudon) being given to John and they argue for a bit and then Henry gets mad and starts choking him???

But then he stops and then they're both like crying and hugging with this foreboding music. Anyways thanks timeline for the completely made up dadson bait for Me Personally

Okey so i wanna tell this story about something i went thru with a person i met on here

This isnt a callout post nor something terrible happened it just kind of a weird experience

So... A few years ago, a mutual started dming me in here asking questions about myself and whatnot, we quickly started chatting more and getting more acquanted so i gave him my other social media (Instagram and Twitter)

He was a bisexual boy and i'm not gonna lie!!! I thought he was cute but i started noticing how he turned normal talks to sexual things very easily... Kind of boy who called other gay men "holes" and girls bitches etc

Didnt take it tooo seriously but was 👀 sketchy about the way he ended up asking me for nudes and stuff like that, the friendship went up that way for a moment until i got a boyfriend around that time so i told him i would be no longer partaking in sexting with him lmao

Anyway, a few months go by, we don't talk that often cause even tho i was serious about my statement he kind of kept insisting about the sexting and stuff so i was avoiding him all together
