This translation of Jeeves and Bertie's "Eulalie" conversation in the German The Code of the Woosters is so charming omg. I am so charmed. Having Bertie sound out the name "Eulalie" and Jeeves clearly ready to drop an entire lecture on the meaning and origins of it is such a cute little gag. None of this is in the original, where Bertie just repeats the name to confirm it and Jeeves says yes sir (Wouldn't work as well in English, I think. Don't ask me why. Maybe I'm just amused by the string of umlaut letters in this extremely British book)

(This might also have been a set up for later when Bertie is reminded of the name by a word Aunt Dahlia says - "you" in English, "NÖÖÖ" in German. THAT I'm actually not sure I care for.
