Hi, I hope you are well:) can we get more headcanon or a luffy dragon story?
dragon!Luffy getting jealous, sounds too funny
Hi, I'm fine, thank you for asking. I hope you are well too :)
Dragon!Luffy is a treasure, and I hope you get to enjoy his jealous side!
Jealous - Luffy, Sanji, Zoro
Tumblr media
Dragon Luffy
If Sanji was flirting with you, he doesn't mind. He trusts his crew and knows that you belong only to him. Moreover, you are all part of his treasure.
However, when you are away from the ship, he keeps an eye on his treasure…unless something catches his attention. He still drags you along. Despite all that, he pays attention to you, but he can't always tell what it is.
You were just on a new island and you were gathering supplies for a new voyage. You were at the market with Luffy, looking at the stalls. Luffy was at the fountain watching the water spray to the beat of the music.
You watched with him for a while before you noticed a stall with marinated cured meats. There was a young quite handsome young man who, when he noticed you, tried to attract you closer.
You knew he was interested in you by his words and how he looked at you. He also gave you samples to taste and you had to admit that the meat was excellent. You tasted it and thought you could snag it for a discount.
Once the fountain finished, he looked around and saw you laughing at some joke with the salesman. In addition, the seller offered you a piece of meat and tried to feed it to you. He didn't like that and was at your place in no time.
“Y/N there you are!” he shouted, wrapping his arms around your waist like an octopus. He was smiling at you, but you noticed the murderous look he was giving the shopkeeper. Plus you heard him growl softly.
“Luffy, what do you think of this meat?” you asked him innocently, taking the piece the vendor offered you and shoving it into Luffy's mouth, he immediately calmed down and chewed contentedly.
"It's good, isn't it?" you smiled Luffy with his mouth full and offered with from the tray. He took all the pieces and stuffed them into his mouth, seeming to have completely forgotten what had upset him in the first place.
You bought several pieces of meat. Luffy took one bag in his hand and took your hand with the other and you made your way to the ship.
As you were leaving, you heard a noise. You turned over your shoulder and noticed that he had demolished the booth in question with his tail. You heard him chuckle in satisfaction.
Tumblr media
Corpse groom cook Sanji
Sanji was jealous almost every time but it depended on the circumstances. When he saw that someone was bothering you and that you were not comfortable, he wasn't afraid to get his feet dirty.
He could simply see them, but he didn't want you to see him like that. He knew you didn't mind, but he didn't want to expose you to it unnecessarily.
However, when he sees you with someone alive, with whom you are comfortable, and how you smile contentedly, it breaks his heart.
He saw you happy and that mattered to him. Therefore, he lowered his head and was determined to let you go with someone alive, with whom you will be happier.
On the ship afterwards, he kept pointing out how happy you were with another man and the like. He told you that you should follow your happiness, that he doesn't want to stand in your way, that he doesn't want to hinder you and the like.
It annoyed you a little, because you only had a place in your heart for him, but he was so deaf. He didn't listen to you at all and kept talking to himself.
That's exactly why you had to show him. A hug worked best for him, but a kiss on the cheek was enough to stop thinking about it and return to normal.
If you wanted to bring him to his knees and shut him up 100%, you kissed him on the lips. You didn't have to worry about him bleeding to death since he was already dead, but sometimes you did worry if you were overdoing it.
Tumblr media
Tiger Zoro
Zoro thought to himself that he wasn't the jealous type as he trusted you and knew he could count on you.
If it was an annoying cook, he made his jealousy clear and wasn't afraid to fight because of you.
Most of the time he didn't mind when you were making out with a stranger, but if it went on too long or there was any touching or flirting, he got worried.
He was watching you from afar, and if the situation didn't turn out to his liking, he could easily step in.
You were just talking to a young swordsman who seemed to think he had a chance with you and who even kissed your hand. That alone was a warning sign for the tiger.
Zoro stood to the side leaning against the house, never taking his eyes off of you. He had confidence in you, but he didn't like the swordsman at all.
Another exclamation point appeared as you were about to leave and he kept hovering around you like an intrusive insect.
Zoro immediately walked over to you and you could tell he didn't like the situation. He had black streaks all over his body and one hand rested on the hilt of his sword.
“Hey Y/N, everything okay? he asked you, standing next to you. His tail wrapped around your leg lightly. Although he tried to appear calm, he couldn't control the snarl tearing its way from his throat into words.
"Absolutely. I was just saying what an amazing boyfriend I have," you replied, hooking his hand before smiling at him. You were quite glad that he came to you and helped you from this poisoning.
As you calmly returned to the ship and crawled into your room Zoro followed you. You were lying in bed and you noticed that the tiger was much cuddlier than normal. As soon as you asked him if he was jealous before, he denied everything.

Tumblr media
You started awake, sweat coating your skin and sheets a tangled mess around your legs.
A dream. It has just been a dream. Is what you tried telling yourself. What you told yourself as you yanked and pulled the sheets back over yourself tight, tucking them just under your chin.
A demon’s face. Bloody screaming and crying. The undead. Your friends turning their backs on you.
It had been more than some dream--it had been a nightmare. A mix of all your worst nightmares mixed into one. Nightmares you had started having more often after joining Luffy’s crew.
After seeing your nightmares come to life--seeing that they were living realities that existed in your world.
Nami, whose bed lay just across the way from yours, murmured in her sleep, rolling over onto her other side. It broke through the deafening silence of your shared quarters like some blessing, but as soon as she settled back in, that silence surrounded you again.
Silence like the tomb. Like the dead.
Your nightmares flashed through your eyes again and you shoved yourself upright, chest heaving up and down as fear crawled its way into her heart.
Too dark. It was too dark in this room. Too hot and too quiet.
Did something just move in the corner? No. That was just Nami’s treasure chest. A figure standing by the stairs? No. Just the lamp.
A loud noise sounded through the room. A sound that had you clutching at your sheets tighter at its sudden echo.
Snoring. It was just one of the boy's obnoxiously loud snores piercing through the walls of the Merry.
Your mind thought over the collection of bodies stuffed into the room just next to yours. Your captain must have been the one whose snore was monstrous enough to filter into your room, having found he was the most notorious snorer.
It couldn’t have been Sanji’s or Choppers, both of their snores too breathy to ever truly reach you. Usopp was the next runner-up, his snores nasally with a tendency to get stuck in his throat.
Zoro’s snores were loud and chest-rumbling, but this particular snore, which shook through your room once more, was definitely your captain's.
And those it was your captain’s snore, you thought of the green-haired swordsmen. Of how you had found him a month ago wandering around in the backyard of your home looking for the docks, which had been miles away. He had been very adamant about not being lost, though he hadn’t denied your offer to show him the way.
He was a man of little words, but his humor had been dry and you couldn’t help but laugh--to gravitate towards him.
The docks had been a mess when you two finally made it there. A mess of pirates looking to raid your home and to kill off Zoro’s own crew. He had taken them on with ease--protected you against them, though your being with him had only brought the first of your nightmares to reality.
By the time you had helped fend off the pirates from invading your island alongside the Straw Hats, your home had been burned to nothing but ash by one of the pirates who had slipped away.
And despite the rest of the Straw Hats being wonderfully supportive, Zoro had been the one who had been by your side every step of the way. Had sat with you while you cried for your losses. Had taught you a special way of remembering and respecting the dead, which you two partook on the dawn of each week.
Your room fell silent once more. A silence that had your eyes scanning over the room for every last little monster that could be lurking in the darkness.
Zoro fought by your side--kept you from harm's way and he was the only one you could think of to run to when the demons and shadows came calling for you.
With a mighty breath in and out, you hopped out of bed, feet running over the soft, robin’s egg blue carpet that lay over the floor, shifting to polished hardwood just before the stairs. You rushed up them, feeling as if clawed hands were just inches away from grabbing you around your ankles and yanking you right back into the darkness you were fleeing.
You burst out of the door, shutting it behind you as quietly as you could so as to not wake Nami up.
The storage room was just as dark--just as threatening and you rushed for the door that led into the kitchen.
Though moonlight shone through the four, arching windows, illuminating the space dimly, you still felt those clawed hands reaching for you. Hands that sent you rushing once more out of the kitchen and onto the deck. Chilled, salty sea air hit your nose as you crossed the course floor, all but lunging for the hatch just next to the mast.
You flung it open, taking your time to carefully find your footing on the ladder that was built into the mast, which continued downward into the belly of the Merry.
Descending downward, you were met with more darkness, though a small night light had been set up, giving off enough light for you to see around. You seemed to remember the boys arguing with Usopp about it’s being there, but you weren’t quite sure of its true origins.
The air was never once still as you silently hopped to the polished floor, snores of all kinds filling your ears.
The boy's room was cramped. There was no better word to describe it.
The small room had been fitted with two couches and a table you didn’t think the boys truly needed. Swinging in the far corner, layered on top of each other like sardines, lay the fast-asleep men of your crew.
As you grew closer, the louder the snores grew and the less you could think about the nightmares that had chased you out of your bed in the first place.
The first row of boys, closest to the far sitting couch, was made up of three hammocks. Chopper, being the smallest, lay in the top hammock, snoozing away like the precious angel he was. Next was Zoro, who slept with his hands behind his neck and his ankles crossed over each other. And below him lay Sanji, whose long limbs spilled out over the horrible, near burlap sack-like material that made up their hammocks.
You made a mental note to make them all some proper hammocks as soon as you got supplies from the next island you all landed on.
As carefully as you could, you climbed up onto the fine, blue fabric of the couch and walked over it so you could stand next to Zoro’s hammock. You looked him over. Looked over his is peaceful features--his slack jaw, which rumbling snores fell from and his sleep-tousled hair.
Carefully, as if approaching a rabid dog, you gently laid a hand on his hard-earned bicep and gave the swordsman a firm shake.
“Zoro.” You called on a tone just above a whisper. When he didn’t stir right away, you shook him a bit more harshly, his name falling from your lips in the same manner.
“What the hell--” He began on a hiss, but when his dark eyes snapped open to find you standing there, he huffed out a heavy breath. “...can I help you?” He asked, his voice rougher and deeper from the sleep you had just pulled him from.
“I…” You started, biting your tongue from finishing your thought. You felt yourself grow embarrassed. Embarrassed that you had run all the way down here. Embarrassed that you had woken Zoro up from his deep sleep which he needed.
It was childish really. You couldn’t handle a silly little dream? You were a grown adult. You could deal with it yourself.
A demon's face. Bloody screaming and crying. The undead. Wicked, clawed hands. Your friends turning their backs on you. Your family’s death--
“I had a nightmare.” You breathed, your voice wavering the slightest bit. Zoro blinked at you. A long blink that looked as if he was slowly thinking over your words.
“...okay.” He said after what felt like an hour had passed you by.
“Zoro.” You huffed, annoyed at his absent-mindedness.
“What?” He asked, equally as annoyed. Asked a little too loud for your liking. You shushed him, placing a finger over his lips which he only swatted away, ever the more irritated. “I don’t know what you want me to do about it.”
“You’re insufferable.” You whispered harshly, eyes narrowed down at him. “This was a mistake.” But before you could make your way back over the too-nice fabric of the couch you stood on, Zoro grabbed your wrist.
“You know I’m not a mind reader.” He said, his voice growing softer as he pulled you back in. Your body, despite you wanting to still be huffy and puffy with him, relaxed against his strong hold. “Just tell me what you want me to do about it.”
“I just thought…I think I would sleep better in here.” Zoro watched you for a moment, dark brown eyes scanning over your face carefully as if to catch anything he might be missing.
“Like on the floor?” You huffed and Zoro rolled his eyes. “Where then?”
“You’re going to say no.” You went to pull your hand from his grip but he held firm.
“Just say it already.” He urged you, that annoyance filtering back into his voice.
“Can I sleep in your hammock--with you? Please.” You blurted out before you could think too much about it again, “You make me feel safe.”
A sharp yelp escaped your lips as Zoro reached over, grabbed you around the waist, and hosted you up into his hammock.
You heard Chopper stir above you, but soon his soft snores fluttered from his nose once more.
Zoro tucked you into his side, wrapping you up in his strong arms and resting his chin on the crest of your head, a deep breath escaping his nose.
“Next time, just say that first. Could have been back asleep by now.” He grumbled, his voice evening out as sleep slowly fell over him for the second time that night. You nestled deeper into his broad, scarred chest, feeling instantly at ease in his arms. Feeling safe--protected from the demons waiting in the darkness for you.
“Thank you.” You whispered, brushing your fingers over the warm skin of his side.
“Whatever. Go to sleep.” You did as you were told, letting the rock of the sea, the chorus of snores, and Zoro’s strong presence lull you back to sleep.

Idk which pirate crew to choose but what about a fem ghost child who lives on an island or ship. Their pretty lonely since they died alone and all they want is a family. So when a pirate crew shows up she kinda tries to keep them from leaving. Kinda angsty? Maybe the crew ends up adopting her??
Hunger and Solitude (Brook x f!child!ghost!reader x Sanji)
A/N y’all I cooked right here, I ‘ll be homest when I read this I was like UM BROOK 100% but then I was like thinking of the plot and the backround of Reader for the story and I was like I need Sanji here. This story is more on the heavy side and unlike my other ones this is not the squealing like a little kid type as it includes themes of death and starvation but just as wholesome in my opinion
Reader here is replaced by Dokucha which stands for reader in japanese
Dividers by @/saradika

Brook found himself walking around the cabin his crew had ended up in, attempting to take shelter from a snowstorm that raged on the island they were visiting.
The abandoned cabin, if one could call it that, didn’t seem abandoned at all; it seemed weird to the skeleton. Usually, he would be against abandoned places, lest they find a ghost or other undead beings, but this place seemed taken care of; everything was in order, no dust, no cobwebs, no roof caving in on itself; it seemed like a typical house, but yet not a soul could be found.
“Brook, you noticed it too, right?” Sanji says, walking up to him, the usual cigarettes resting between his lips
“Yes, this place… it’s abandoned, and there isn’t anyone here or around, yet this place is immaculate,” he replies, glancing around the room
“There has to be someone here,” The chef concludes
Dokucha looked down at the two men, studying them from the rafters up above
Brook paused at the sound of a childish giggle, slowly looking up and spotting a small girl looking back at him
“…”
“…”
“A GHOST!” He cries, pulling out his sword from the cane
“You’re a skeleton!” Sanji hollers back at him, annoyed
“Stop!”
Brook stills for a second, taking over the ghost that was, at this point, in front of them
“You’re a child…”
“I’m sorry! Please don’t hurt me!”
“Hey, Hey, it’s okay; we have no intentions of hurting you,” Sanji said, kneeling down to her level and trying to ease her down
Brook sheaths his sword once again. He looked around once again, still perplexed at this place
“You live here, don’t you?”
“Yeah,” she said, sniffling
“Where are your Parents?” he asked, despite deep down already knowing the answer
“They all died, rain never came, and food ran out.“ she cried
“I stayed, but I saw momma starve, I saw papa starve, and no one came back.”
Brook and Sanji, both still at that, memories both flooding their minds at the story of the small girl
“So you stayed here, alone, by yourself, all by yourself,” Brook muttered
“I am deeply sorry, little Madam; I know the feeling very well.”
After the words had been spoken a sudden chill filled the air, snow beginning to blast around them as white began to cover the room they stood in
Sanji looks up at the spectable and back down at the girl, quick to understand the connection between the two
“Shut up! You don’t, you don’t know what it feels like!” She screams, eyebrows furrowed, eyes filled with both fury and pain
“Yes, I do,” The skeleton spoke
“LIAR” she growled as hail began to fall around them
“I cannot relate to starving to death, but I can relate to having to watch everyone around you die while you remain.”
“You’re lying!.” She hisses
“I am not lying to you, Madam,” He says calmly
“My whole crew died in front of me.”
The raging storm around them begins to lessen around them at the comment, furious winds going down to a cold breeze brushing against them as the girl stared wide eyes at the swordsman
“T-they died?” she said, stepping closer to the skeleton
“They did.”
She walks towards him
“But you stayed? Alone?”
“I did.”
With that the wind around them stilled, the snow that pelted them before now falling melancholically from the ceiling
“It hurts…” she cries
“I know, little Madam,” he says, opening his arms, signaling her to come closer
She runs to him, sobbing in his arms
“I miss Mama; I miss Papa!”
Brook wraps his embrace around the young girl, slowly rocking her back and forth
“Don’t cry; it will be okay. “
She turned her head to look at the blond man
“Did you stay behind, too?” She asked between her sobs and hacks
“Not quite,” Sanji replies
“I… I know what it is to starve, however,” He said, putting his hand over her head
“I got washed to an uninhabitable land with…my father. Our resources eventually ran out. I had thought father had more food and went after him only to find out he had given his rations to me, and he had taken to eat his own leg to survive.”
“It hurt so much, the pangs, I couldn’t stop them, I couldn’t get up,” she weeped
“I know…im sorry, i’m sorry” he whispered
Tumblr media
“Little Madam, this snowstorm, it’s your doing, isn’t it?” Brook replied, sitting down with Sanji and Dokucha next to him; once the girl had calmed down
“It is…I’m sorry I kept Mister Brook and Mister Sanji and their friends here, but… it’s been so long since I saw someone, and I got excited, but you were about to leave, and I … I didn’t want to be alone again.”
“Don’t apologize. Your intentions were not to hurt us, and I’m grateful because we got to meet you,” Sanji replies to the little girl
“How long have you been living here by yourself?” Brook asked curious
She shrugs
“A long time”
Sanji and Brook glanced at each other; at that moment, the two men had silently agreed to something; they were not leaving this place without the girl
“Dokucha, why don’t you come with us?” asked Sanji
“Come with you?”
Sanji nods. “Yes, you know a ship? Where we all live. A ship with a nice kitchen, and plenty of others that will always look out for you”
“You want me?”
“Of course!” Brook says, reaching out his hand toward her
“Come on, you're not staying.”
“You will love our Captain, you know? He won’t leave without you either.”
“Are you sure?”
The two men nodded with a smile on their face
“Of course, of course! Now, come on! Yohohoho,” Brook said, standing up, grabbing the girl, throwing her in the air, and laughing further when the girl let out an airy string of elated giggles at the action
“We won’t let you be alone anymore.”
“And I will never let you be hungry ever again, you hear?”
“Thank you, Misters, Thank you!” she cried, hugging the skeleton’s neck, more tears cascading down her eyes at the turn of events
“I have never been happier than I am now,” she confesses
“Yohohoho, I know that feeling as well, little Madam!”
“Don’t cry, and don’t worry, if you ever feel alone, if you ever feel lonely, you can always come and talk to us, alright?” He says to her
“The crew and us will always make some time for you, so you won’t be alone again.”

White Blood, Red Teeth
a story where Luffy is constantly found by his friends having overdoses. It's a terrible behavior that started after Ace's death and everyone thinks it's a horrible coping method and finally gets together to admit him to a rehabilitation clinic. It's against his will, of course, so he resists and has withdrawal attacks and it's so bad that he goes on a hunger strike and loses a huge amount of weight and subsequently ends up with deteriorating health. A year and a half later, finally, after all this, the clinic considers him rehabilitated, although he is still underweight and doesn't eat as much as he should, but everyone is sure that Luffy will never look for drugs again. They are wrong and less than forty-eight hours after being released from the clinic, Zoro and Sanji find Luffy having another overdose in the bathroom of the apartment the three share. This time, the two decide to take a more aggressive approach and go after Luffy's drug dealer. Luffy is always talking about the guy, whom he calls Torao, who supposedly helped him cope with Ace's death. Whenever asked what he's on, Luffy responds "Torao's white blood", which Zoro and Sanji assume is the name of some homemade drug or something. Whatever it is, this Torao guy, is clearly taking advantage of Luffy's grief. to make a profit, so they stop at the drug dealer's address, almost knocking down the door, ready to give this guy 'Torao' a good beating and deliver him directly into the hands of Luffy's grandfather, a half-crazy police officer. They are surprised when the person who answers the door is a guy who goes by the name Penguin, who, strangely enough, lets them in easily after discovering that they are Luffy's friends. The house is nice, clean, airy, comfortable and cozy, everything you don't expect from a drug dealer's house. The place looks practically sterile in a hospital kind of way, which makes sense when they are finally introduced to the infamous Torao, a tall, malnourished guy who walks around on an IV. They confront 'Torao', who introduces himself as actually being Trafalgar Law, about the drugs he has been giving Luffy and the effects it has on their friend and, strangely, are surprised when: Law says he has never given drugs a Luffy and b: Law is surprised and then irritated when he is told about the "Toraos white blood" thing. Law then sighs and surprisingly takes off his shirt and displays his torso, covered in deep, fresh-looking bites, and proceeds to explain the craziest story of all time: Vampires are real and Luffy was turned into one the day Ace died. Law found him, injured and starving, and saved his life. He then explains that he is sick, his blood was infected from a young age with amber lead and he was living on borrowed time, so he had no qualms about feeding Luffy his blood. But they were both taken by surprise by the fact that, every time Luffy fed on him, his condition unexpectedly improved. But Law had no idea that his blood caused Luffy to overdose. He knew that there seemed to be a factor that made him somewhat dependent and Luffy was always lethargic in the first few minutes after feeding, but he never thought that his blood was acting as a drug for Luffy's undead organism. That's why in the year and a half that Luffy simply disappeared, Law, and his friends, simply thought that the vampire had gotten tired of helping Law and had left. They had been surprised when, last night, Luffy appeared out of nowhere on their doorstep and promptly attacked Law, feeding on him until Law was barely able to stay awake. Furthermore, in the time that Luffy was gone, Law's condition simply deteriorated terribly and he was practically convinced that he wouldn't make it until the end of the year. And now, they have to find a way to balance Luffy's feeding so that Law can survive, but in such a way that Luffy doesn't suffer side effects either. Everything becomes a mess when Robin, a mysterious friend of Zoro, gets involved, announcing that in fact, Law has been cursed by a witch.

Do you think they attempt to dress up weretiger zoro, like how ppl do their pets? Or would that end in dead body???
oh, attempts are definitely made. their success rates, however? another matter entirely.
nami dares usopp to loop a bell around zoro’s neck once while he’s in tiger form; the whole crew watches him screaming his head off and bolting across the deck with zoro quite literally biting at his heels before he just gives it up and dives overboard to escape. nami and sanji fall over themselves laughing so hard they cry, and usopp manages to spin it into a story about how he escaped from a demon tiger from hell by the skin of his teeth after stealing from its hoard; it somehow involves jumping across gaping chasms of hellfire and defeating a whole horde of undead direwolves single-handedly AND various specific explosives that he hasn’t quite managed to invent yet, but he’s getting there.
and as for his human form, zoro tolerates sanji wrangling him into outfits necessitated by dress codes. one time they’re sent as luffy’s delegates to some fancy-shmancy royal event and the dress code is black tie; sanji buttons him (against much protestation and unsuccessful pleading looks) into a formal suit but within 30 minutes the cook finds him in the cellar, tie undone, waistcoat gone, jacket tossed over a wine rack and shirt open halfway down his chest.
the crew can TRY to dress him up, but believe me, zoro isn’t gonna put up with any of it for long. if he didn’t love them he wouldn’t put up with it at ALL. if anybody else tries to touch him in his human form they get a broken arm; if they try shit in his tiger form they lose the arm entirely.
(he’d let sanji put a collar on him tho. just sayin’.)

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sky was dark as Zoro sat there on the shop floor his blood soaked blade on his lap, he couldn't bring himself to move in anyway, but he knew yours and Sanji's bodys where next to him, it felt so unreal, he couldn't cope only one thing flooded his mind as he raised the blood soaked sward above him, Shusui the beautiful black blade that caused so much death and destruction he begged and pleaded in his head for this to have never happened to bring you two back before bringing the blade down.
"Zoro, Zoro get up, were going" Your voice yells out as a hard kick hits his leg. Zoro's eyes shoot open as he gasps out of shock, where was he? is this the after life? It was warm but the breeze was cold as he sat up looking around to find that he's on the grassy deck of the Sunny "Zoro, we're ready to leave come on" Your voice makes him jump a little but look your way, you look fine, no bites or blood, no sweaty yet pale skin but you were wearing the same clothes and that bag, the bag you tried to fill up with food before "Y/N" Zoro yells out getting off the floor and hugging you tight, your real, your alive "Zoro, hay Hun what's wrong?" you ask but your words fall on def ears as the swordsman looks over your shoulder at the town, the town you were all just in "What the fuck is going on?" Zoro whispers as you push him off you "I was about to ask you that, you ok? You look hell" You comment noticing his sweaty and shaky stature. "Your alive, thats all that matters" Zoro smiles placing his lips on yours, there soft and smooth and a little warm not like how he remembered before you passed. You lean in letting him have this moment to calm him down but when he pulls away he's still nervous and shaky.
Sanji walks back onto the Sunny, he was waiting for you to wake Zoro up but it was taking too long "Hay, come on already" The cook yells with an annoyed tone, he was sick of hearing Luffy complain about wanting food and just wanted this trip over and done with but was caught off guard when Zoro runs at him and pulls the cook into a hug "Zo-ro" Sanji pats the man on the back hardly able to breath form the overly tight hug which soon loosens but the swordsman doesn't let go instead the pulls the cook away form the bridge leading down to the village "Ok your acting really strange what is going on?" You ask walking over to the two "We're not going into town, where leaving and never looking back" Zoro's voice is demanding which throws you both off guard "We need food" Sanji try's to push the man off him but to no avail "NO" The swordsman yells getting Chopper and Usopp's attention while their working on something along with Robin who was sitting reading a book. "We-" Sanji yells back only for Zoro to pull you both closer to him "I'm not losing you two again. We can service for a few more days, Luffy's gonna have to suck it up" You and Sanji gasp a little at his words looking up the the distraught swordsman.
You place your hand on his cheek rubbing your thumb under his eye to wipe away a stray tear "Hun, it just a dream. Everything's ok now" you try to keep your voice calm but his look told you it wasn't ok "No it wasn't, i don't know what it was but i felt everything, you two got bit by some undead things and then you got sick and - and then you died and come back trying to kill us. i-i" His grip on you tightens as he talks looking down at you like your were a ghost not alive in any way "I had to... i felt your blood on my hands the pressure from my sword and your limp body falling into my arms" Zoro turns to Sanji a look of fear in the cooks eyes, you both had no idea if this was real or not but the way he was talking about it made you both think maybe it did happen "You wanted me to kill you but i couldn't, i couldn't do it but when you died in my arms i-i had to, i didn't want you coming back like that. i couldn't watch you turn into one of those things and then i-i couldn't go on i just co-" You cut him off by hugging him feeling his tears wet your shirt as you press your face into his shoulder while Sanji places his forehead against the swordsman's "It's ok, its over now, were all alive" The cook reassures getting Zoro to stop panting so hard.
Chopper and Usopp walk over soon followed by Robin "How about we make some tea to calm down, lets make sure no one leaves for now ok" Robin instructs Chopper and Usopp who head off to pull up the ramp and tells the others to stay on the ship while she heads off to the kitchen to make some tea. "Thanks Robin" Zoro whispers holding you both close. You run your hand through his hair kiss his neck before pulling back to look at him, the tears have stopped, and he looks much calmer but you can sense something is off, the feeling gets worse when you wrap your arm around his waist touching the hilt of his swords. You know a little about his three swords mainly from what Zoro's told you but are they supposed to feel like that "Zo, your swords off" you comment making him look down at his waist, he was too emotional before to senses it but now that he's calmed down he can feel the strange aura coming off Shusui as if it was calling out to him. "Come on lets get inside and figure this ok" Sanji pulls of Zoro's arm getting the man to walk with him to the Kitchen, Zoro takes your hand not willing to let either of you go yet but you don't mind and follow along.
It took Zoro almost an hour to explain everything that happened and the detail shocked you, he knew the name of the village even though there was no sigh for it even close to the sunny and described the shop and Supermarket in detail. It scared you a lot especially with Shusui on the dinning room table still giving off that strange heavy feeling, Sanji said he could feel it too while Robin, Chopper and Usopp couldn't as they sat across from the three of you listening to everything. Robin suddenly got out of her chair making you all turn to her "I'm sure i've seen the towns name before, I'll check the liberty" As she leaves you turn your attention back to Zoro who seems a lot calmer but still won't let you or Sanji out of his sight "You ok?" You ask running your hand over his cheek while he's clutching the cup in his hand "Hu? oh! yea, i'm fine baby" Zoro sighs putting the cup down and placing a hand around you pulling you into him while his other hand is holding Sanji's "Hay Chopper have you heard of anything like this?" Sanji asks wondering if Zoro hit his head or something, anything would be better than him actually living it "Not that i can think of, i've heard of that thing people say but its nothing like this" Chopper sighs sitting back in his chair "You mean deja vu?" Usopp asks getting a nod from the doctor "As for the symptoms you described these are a few viral disease that match it but none of them can bring people back from the dead" Chopper shivers a little scared to think back to the last time they saw a dead man walking on Thriller bark.
Sanji leans over to Zoro and lays his head on the mans shoulder as the kitchen door opens and Robin walks back in with a very old book "I knew i had heard the name before, it's a very old town that was used for experiments" The black haired woman sits back down opening the book and showing a small map of the village, the supermarket and shop were on there. You all look closer the feeling of sickness over taking you but you manage to not show it too much, the thought that it really happened is strong in your head "The last experimental had to do with bringing dead soldiers back to life, but they couldn't risk using it on real solders, so they tested it again on this village, the people who lived there were criminals who would have a home, job and comfy life if they agreed to be a part of the trials. Although the book said it worked but things got out of hand fast. The dead became hungry but only for living things, the virus could be passes on through a bite and it spread fast." Robin looks up with a small smile seeming to enjoy talking about it in some way "What you described about the supermarket was correct, The solders locked up the dead inside the back intending to find a cure but that never happened, they just abandoned the place" Zoro's grip on you and Sanji got tighter, he knew what happened was real, but he hopes he was wrong, it really did happen but how?
Sanji hugs the Swordsman tight, he may not remember what happened, but he believed Zoro and for once he thought to hell with the food, they can last a few days on what ever he can scrounge up. You on the other hand couldn't take your eyes off Shusui, the aura it was giving out felt a lot lighter and faded in and out in the rhythm of a heart beat. "Shusui came from that Zombie swordsman right?" You ask catching Zoro off guard who turns to you pulling you closer to him and away form the swords laying on the table "Yea." The swordsman states now noticing the change in aura from the sword, it calls out to him trying to tell him something "What does that have to do with anything?" Usopp asks raising an eyebrow "I don't know, it just feels like, maybe its connection to the undead has something to do with it" You shrug "I feel it too, its weird" Sanji sighs looking over the sword "Some swords bond with their wielder and can influence them so its not a stretch to say that Shusui had something to do with all this" Zoro chimes in making you feel less crazy for thinking it "I remember you talking about something like that, maybe it was some kind of vision" Chopper smiles standing on his seat at the doctors words the sword's aura becomes intense before disappearing as if telling you thats the answer.
Zoro laughs before grabbing the sword and putting it back on his side "I think you hit the nail on the head Chopper, now can we please leave this place" Zoro leans back as Usopp stands and nods "I'll go tell Nami, Luffy isn't going to be too happy though" The sniper rubs the back of his neck before leaving soon followed by Robin who offered a helping hand "Are you ok?" Chopper asks noticing Zoro's blank stare "Yea Chopper i'm good, Why don't you go and help them" Chopper nodded seeing that the swordsman wanted to be alone with you two so headed out the kitchen door. "I'm sorry" Zoro sighs as you and Sanji look at him "I know you two didn't see it but, i couldn't do anything to help." Sanji turns to the swordsman and places a hand on the mans leg "You did what you could, you couldn't stop any of it from happening at the time but you stopped us from going" Zoro looks at the cook with a sad look "You begged me to kill you but i couldn't. I let you suffer before dying, it was selfish" Sanji shakes his head and leans in placing a kiss on the swordsman's lips "I know its still fresh, but we're here, we're alive and thats all thanks to you" The cook smiles pulling away seeing a small smile form on Zoro's face. "Thank you Zoro, your amazing and its all over now" you lean over and place a kiss on the swordsman's cheek.
Zoro turns to you and places his lips on yours giving you a short kiss before the sunny starts moving. The swordsman breaths a sigh of relief, their leaving this island and never coming back, you two are with him and it'll stay that was for as long as he can help it. "Come here" Zoro pulls on your waist band making you get up, pulling you over to his lap where he pulls you in and holds you close while his other arm holds Sanji "I love you both" The green haired man relaxes at the feeling of you two with him your heads on his shoulders and your steady breaths on his neck "I love you too Hunk and you dear" You smile kissing Zoro's neck then looking to Sanji interlocking your fingers with his. "I love you both too... my lovers" Sanji relaxes into the swordsman and holds your hand taking in the feeling of love and care. The nightmare is over and if it weren't for Shusui's connection with the dead then he wouldn't be here with you two, he doesn't know how to thank the sword, but he'll have to find a way. As for right now you and Sanji are the most important thing, and he's not letting you two out of his sight anytime soon.

I'm still thinking about vampire Usopp w/sanuso btw, just like
Sanji insisting Usopp come to him whenever he's hungry, for multiple reasons, but primarily bc he's the cook, it's his job to keep his cremates fed above everything else. And Usopp going along with it, asking for blood around the same times he used to ask for food. Thinking Sanji would tell him if he ever took too much.
Sanji, however, is a fool. A very kind, but large fool. He doesn't tell Usopp when he's taking too much or too frequently. In fact their whole arrangement barely lasts a few weeks before Sanji collapses in the middle of food prep.
Like, just the idea of the guy who gives and gives and, yeah it feels nice to give, but can't fathom the idea that there are others on the crew able to do the same. That he doesn't have to give until there's nothing left.
Idk just. Physical manifestation of his problems with accepting unconditional love without having to give anything to earn it. As in, the more he gives without bounds, the more he's literally killing himself.
And then. And then.
Usopp coming into the galley, ready to sheepishly ask for a snack, just like before this whole thing, and finding Sanji on the floor.
And he yells for Chopper before looking Sanji over. Coming to the realization that this was him- this was his fault. He took too much. Asked for too much. Asked too much of Sanji.
And he's just kicking himself the whole time, telling himself it was stupid to ever think Sanji- Sanji of all people- would ever deny him a chance to fill his belly.
He comes to the conclusion he can't ask Sanji for blood anymore. He can't ask anyone for blood anymore. He couldn't risk this happening again. To any of them.
After Sanji got a transfusion and isn't at risk of falling over anymore, he and Usopp begin an agonizing back and forth routine.
Sure, Sanji can't give blood for a while- doctor's orders- but there are some rather big fish in the aquarium, and Usopp has always loved the taste of fish. He drains the blood out of a few, stores the excess in the fridge, and offers a glass to Usopp to make up for the lunch portion he never got.
Usopp says something or other about grabbing a bite from a sea king earlier and waves him off. Sanji frowns but doesn't say anything.
And this same bit continues and continues and continues, until Sanji puts his foot down. Literally.
Kicks Usopp's ass to the galley. Has an infuriating conversation with him. Continues to try and get him to drink. Ends up coming to a conclusion that Usopp only liked drinking blood from the source. A passing thought making him consider that there was only one source- one person he'd drink from.
Usopp- tired and fuzzy and hungry, so so hungry- is trying his damnedest to keep Sanji satisfied with lies he doesn't have the energy to make believable. He's trying and trying but Sanji is bulldozing through each one, not taking no for an answer and-
Is it me? Sanji asks, his voice far, far too hopeful. Do you only want to drink from me?
And if Usopp wasn't tired- wasn't literally starving and finding it hard to keep his thoughts from slipping away- he would examine that voice. That tone. Run through his own daydreams with different words, different contexts, being implied with those words.
But he is tired. And he is starving. And he needs to get a grip before he wavers even more in his resolve.
And so, it's surprising yet all too expected when Usopp declares Sanji's blood as the nastiest thing he's ever tasted. Says he never wants to get within smelling distance anymore, it's that bad. Too late, he realizes his smelling distance, now, covers the entirety of the ship and then some.
Sanji stays silent. Usopp contemplates taking it back. He doesn't.
Casually, Sanji reaches over to his knife block. Despite his current status as a member of the undead, Usopp fears for his life. He wonders if Sanji was just as skilled with a knife as Zoro was with his swords and desperately hopes that's not the case. Aloud, he tries to calm Sanji down while subtly trying to put distance between them.
Without any warning, practically without sound, Sanji tilts his head and cuts a thin line near the juncture from his neck to his shoulder. And all of a sudden, Usopp's filled with another, far more terrifying, kind of fear.
It's just like Boin, Usopp, he thinks to himself, eyes glued to the spot where dark red beads of blood well up on pale skin. Just like Boin.

Hi, I hope you are well. Once again, one of your faithful followers (Luffy Dragon fan 💖) comes with a new request (if you can, obviously).
the last chapter of op made me realize that Sanji ignores and is less gentlemanly towards women who show signs of liking him. I wonder if we can get something where the reader is obviously in love with Sanji (corpse of the boyfriend) and he is completely indifferent or clueless about it, while following his behavior in love with other girls and being a great "dude, look what you have in front of you" "
xo ♥️ congratulations on the 2500 likes
Hi, I had quite tought week, but I’m better now. Hope you are well too. I’m happy to hear from you. You have really good request. ❤️
Hope you enjoy this.
Tumblr media
Dude, look what you have in front of you- Corpse Sanji
You were head over heels in love with Sanji. Everyone on board knew it, but the only cook was completely blind to you. Yes, he treated you almost the same way he treated Nami or Robin. Although sometimes you had the impression that he took you more for granted. As a sidekick and nakama.
How you wished he felt for you the way you felt for him. To try to woo you like he tried to woo other girls who rejected him when they found out the truth.
You were sorry to see him melt over the other girls. How he got down on one knee and kept asking for their hand in marriage. You knew that was one of the main reasons he was among the living. His biggest regret.
When you saw him with other girls, it always made your heart skip a beat and you had to do everything you could to not let it show on yourself.
The new island was a new opportunity for the chef to find a new girl. You were out shopping and you passed a small square with a small group of beautiful girls among the people.
As soon as Sanji saw the beauties, he dropped his shopping bags and headed towards them. He showered them with compliments before getting down on one knee and asking for their hand in marriage. The girls were just giggling.
You picked up your bags and walked to the side with them when the wind picked up out of nowhere. This wind was a bad omen for Sanji as it blew his bangs to the side, exposing his eye. Or rather an empty socket where the eye should have been.
The girls he had been focusing on until now ran away screaming and left him kneeling on the ground alone, with a completely broken expression.
The cook walked over to you brokenly, lit a cigarette and took your bags, saying he would take them on the ship. He hated these reactions. It reminded him so much that he was no longer alive. Just a corpse waiting for a miracle.
You wanted to somehow improve his mood, so you used this opportunity and went to the shop you passed on the way. To a shop that sold prosthetics. From limbs, dentures, and eyes. You knew what eye colour to choose for him. No one else you knew had eyes as blue as his.
On the boat you gave him your little gift, like a little thing, a souvenir you would call it. The others were there too and they all saw how happy Sanji was. Heart in his eyes, he hugged you on his knees.
You and everyone else had already started to think that this would make the cook notice you and see how you felt about him. Nothing could be further from the truth as nothing has changed at all. As soon as another girl flashed past him, or Nami and Robin, his head was in the clouds.
Despite all this, you had the impression that it would end like this and sighed in disappointment. You felt like you were chasing an even more impossible dream than your captain was chasing.
You saw that things with Sanji were difficult and apparently impossible and you slowly gave up. You didn't even know how, but you found your solace in the swordsman and the doctor.
Both of them supported you and Zoro even offered to knock some sense into the cook. It sounded tempting, but you talked him out of it.
This small change didn't go unnoticed by Sanji and he got the impression that you had started something with the swordsman. He didn't understand at all what you saw in that mosshead. That's why he also went to see him, what was his problem, that you spent so much time with him.
Zoro didn't understand at all. It was the chef's bad luck, he had his chance with you. And even though you tried to act like you got over it, Zoro knew full well that you would do anything for a cook.
“Dude, look what you have in front of you,” he said instead, pointing over his shoulder at you. You stood with your back to them, playing the new board game he got in town with Chopper.
Sanji looked at you and he had no idea what mosshead was talking about. Robin, who heard everything, joined in. The two of them then explained it to him.
When Sanji finally saw through it, he made you a dinner with everything you liked as an apology and asked you out on a date. You could see in him that he was serious and so you decided to give him one more chance.

I’m here to post shit and have fun!
In honor of Halloween! Here’s some stories to have fun with!
Anime: One Piece
Character: Sanji Vinsmoke
Monster: Vampire
Warnings: Blood, suggestive themes, Sanji’s killer looks.
~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Vampire
Baratie was only opened at night.
The vibe and jive of the place were always phenomenal and the food was just as divine. It’s been serving meals and games for as long as the city was constructed.
Sanji would often oversee the dinner service at Baratie. His eyes would focus on the smiles and tug of the lips as people tried the food and enjoyed the drinks until 11PM.
The restaurant would take a brief pause in order to empty the patrons with ‘Goodbye’s and ‘Please come agains’.
After 12 AM, midnight: the guest who would come in would be a little more…special.
The lights and ambiance would change according to his clientele. The furniture would shift and the waiters would be able to offer more things that were off the menu.
Such as exotic meats, rare spirits and your choice of blood types.
Pure, from the source and voluntarily given blood.
The restaurant that he worked so hard to maintaining and hold up the caliber he and his adoptive father created: was now a nightclub for the undead, the lurkers and form-changers.
There were three rules in his establishment:
No fighting.
No gambling.
No humans that did not consent to be there.
He enforced the last one aggressively. Kicked and banned many before just for breaking this particular rule. He was once human and he knew how cruel the world could be, violating his right to exist.
As a vampire he would make sure that humans under his care would be safe.
“Sanji?” He heard someone say his name so sweetly.
His ears picked up on the softness of her voice. Corners of his mouth tugged upwards, fangs poking slightly from his lips as he turned around to his private room.
There she was.
The object of his affections.
“Mon Ange…you should be resting.”
“I know but…I want to feel you in my arms again, Mr. Vinsmoke.”
“How can I deny such a request? Especially when Mon bébe looks so exquisite in pearls and vermillion silk?”
She felt the chill run down her spine when he shifted towards her. Nose against her throat and arms wrapping her legs around his waist.
The squeal of delight heard when he gently pressed his lips against her throat, near her jugular, was tempting him to sink his teeth in. Drink from her just to hear the sweet moans and feel her become more needy for him.
Hoping she could scratch the itch as he feasted upon her a little and just really showed her how much he really loved her company.
“W-We have a meeting with- Ah~ t-the investors in an hour.”
“Plenty of time, Mon Amour. Let me hear those pretty lips as they sing me your symphony.”
And she did.
Every time he bit her and every time he touched her she sang for him.
It was just another night at Baratie.

Sanji the Supreme King 👑🔥 (Sanji CoC Theory 🧵)
source : twitter . com/bigdannyfr/status/1679970343325167617
Tumblr media
First, we have to understand what makes a Conqueror. Some people think you need a kingly ambition, but not all of them follow this criteria.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kingly Ambition such as Pirate King or WSS can’t be used as a flat criteria for CoC. Whitebeard, Hancock, Katakuri, Yamato, and Ace did not possess Kingly Ambitions. Whitebeard never wanted to be King or find the One Piece. He simply wanted a family. Not a Kingly ambition.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So what really makes a Conqueror? The truth is that there is no real criteria. Conqueror’s Haki is given to a select few characters with extremely strong wills. Wills so strong that they can be imposed upon others. That’s all.
Tumblr media
danny 💫 @bigdannyfr · 23h Sanji’s will is SO strong that in Thriller Bark, after Sanji was turned into a zombie soldier controlled by Moria, he STILL upheld his morals.
Not even someone who has taken his shadow and turned him into a undead soldier can suppress his will.
Tumblr media
Sanji’s will is so strong that even on the verge of death, he doesn’t stray an inch from his morals. Sanji possesses Kingly Qualities. Sanji’s immensely strong will and kingly qualities make him a very good candidate for Conqueror’s Haki.
Tumblr media
Sanji’s Leadership Conquerors are natural born leaders. Sanji shares this ability as well. Examples such as Zou and Enies Lobby show Sanji giving orders to the crew, proving that he is a calculated leader. He is also shown leading people who were initially enemies.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sanji’s Development Sanji’s development in the story is very unique. His mental journey in One Piece is accepting and prioritizing himself, something that he has struggled with several times due to his trauma that was explained during Whole Cake Island.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The point of Sanji’s backstory was to highlight his psychological state throughout his life. I believe his trauma served as a mental block. Sanji has overcome his traumatic past and prioritized himself, this is the perfect opportunity for him to awaken Conqueror’s Haki.
Given these Kingly traits that Sanji has shown throughout the series, and knowing he’s one of the main characters and part of the 3 strongest crew members… Why would he not have Conqueror’s Haki?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sanji unlocking Conqueror’s Haki will launch the Monster Trio to new levels.
Monkey D. Luffy: The Pirate King
Roronoa Zoro: The World’s Strongest Swordsman
Vinsmoke Sanji: The World’s Fastest Man
All Supreme Kings. The most dangerous trio in history 👑
Sanji being a Conqueror would fit so well for his role, his development, and his character in general.
If you aren’t convinced, I’m open to discussion if you have an open mind 🙏

Artwork by Yeimi Villegas
Banana Joe = Monkey D. Luffy (both are goofballs who aren't the sharpest tool in the shed, and fit with Ocho/Zoro and Tobias/Sanji as a trio, which we see little snippets of in the Gumball episodes like "The Moustache" "The Worst' and "The Pact")
Ocho = Roronoa Zoro (both are violent and edgy, and are humorously shipped with Tobias/Sanji by their respective fan-bases)
Tobias = Sanji ( both fancy themselves "ladies men" but never get anywhere with it; they primarily simp for Masami/Nami also, and shipped with Zoro/Ocho quite often as already stated; also both Tobias and Sanji tend to be the butt of the jokes)
Masami = Nami (both are materialistic, Masami comes from a wealthy family, and Nami loves money; they have atmokinetic abilities, and are scary when angry)
Clayton = Usopp (both have a habit of lying, and it's attributed to their insecurities and low self-esteem)
Anton = Tony Tony Chopper (admittedly the similarities are kind of scarce, but Anton has a cloning ability which is somewhat like a devil fruit, and both are susceptible to being in large bodies of water for too long on account of being a devil-fruit user, and Anton is a literal piece of bread and becomes soggy when left in the water for too long, also it fits aesthetically as their both small, brown little guys with high-pitched voices and both can occasionally be a little gullible and ditzy)
Clare = Nico Robin (both of them are gloomy and reserved, that's about it)
Bobert = Franky (not much to say in terms of personality, but both are pretty daffy; then there's the more obvious similarity in that Bobert is a robot, and Franky is a cyborg, those two things go hand in hand for obvious reasons)
Razor = Brook (They're both the undead, and have skull-faces; Brook is a musician and Razor is in a band called "Soldiers of Pain")
Rocky = Jinbei (Admittedly, I know that you could make a case for Darwin being Jinbei given that Darwin is a goldfish, and Jinbei is a fish-man, but Darwin is too cutesy for somebody like Jinbei; Rocky & Jinbei are like big brother/mentor figures to the Students and the Straw Hats; (yes I know Brook is technically older than Jinbei, but Jinbei’s the most mature) Also, Jinbei is the school’s bus driver, while Jinbei is the Thousand Sunny’s helmsman; Rocky is often seen hanging out around the school’s pool, has cosplayed as Darwin in “The Genius” and this is just speculation, but Rocky has similar mannerisms to that of a stereotypical surfer, so perhaps he does a little bit of surfing as a hobby? granted, Jinbei doesn’t act like a stereotypical “surfer” the point is I’m trying to describe how Rocky could be loosely associated with water for the sake of finding more connections between him and Jinbei)
Penny = Nefertari Vivi (They’re both just sweet and kind girls. nothing more, nothing less; also Penny has a pet spider Mr. Cuddles, who you could say he’s like Karoo)

Undead Unluck ch184 thoughts
[Shokugeki no Fuuko]
(Contents: immediate reactions)
War/Western, sci-fi horror, kung fu, medical drama, and now cooking! Once again, Undead Unluck refuses to be held down by the conventions of storytelling and enters a new genre. Kururu's idol arc is looking more and more likely by the week!
It's pretty funny to me that Enjin is a chef considering that when I was writing my One Piece Fandom Negators set, I gave Sanji Unburn as a way to justify him not being burnt by his own flames and used it to adjust temperatures at will. Maybe Enjin's new interpretation of Unburn will let him do exactly what I predicted!
I can definitely sympathize with Fuuko roaming the world chasing the high of a long-lost "ultimate ramen recipe," I'm still looking for curry to rival my usual from a local restaurant that closed in my hometown several years ago now. Of course, I'm not an immortal who was able to live through the major history of curry, so I can't exactly say I have the same level of dedication as Fuuko
As usual, I don't have too much commentary for a set-up chapter like this, as we don't have any of the key details yet. I certainly am immediately endeared to Enjin, as I always knew I would be given Tozuka's track record. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the themes of cooking tie into his story, like how the loss of whoever he was cooking for and the loss of his ability to cook at all are intertwined
The main thing that kind of confused me about this chapter was Enjin's response to the guy who found a bug in his ramen. Usually when a character says something like that, it turns out that it's a trick to either humiliate the chef or to extort money from them, and that seemed like it was going to be the case here since he was demanding compensation, but Enjin's response was that the guy should be willing to risk his life while eating his food rather than denying that he'd ever let a bug get in his dishes. That kind of implies that the bug really did get into the food, which is a shocking thing for such a proud chef to allow
For now I choose to believe that Enjin simply wasn't dignifying such a blatantly false accusation with acknowledgment and instead went straight to punishing him for desecrating the food. That feels like the kind of thing that a delinquent stereotype would do, so unless Tozuka confirms one way or the other, that's my headcanon for that scene
On a smaller note, love how chummy Gina is with Rip right off the bat. Her sitting on his lap was surprising considering that he's a married man and she clearly loves Fuuko, but again I choose to believe that a) she's just friendly like that and b) she knows she can't sit in Fuuko's lap cus she might trigger major Unluck. "If a lock of hair touching Rip summoned a meteor, what would happen if my hair accidentally brushed against Fuuko's face???" I'd be pretty wary of cuddling up to my crush if I knew how much they liked me would be proportional to the damage we might accidentally incur
Overall, this arc is looking like it'll be a relatively short and simple one to help us relax after the high tension of the Sick Arc and before whatever's coming up next, a nice little breather between the big moments. Whether it's big or small, though, I'm really looking forward to seeing Enjin in action next week
See you all next week, let's enjoy life

Bloodied hands scrubbed frantically at the marble floor, tears mixing with soapy water.
“Please, my Lord! Have mercy!” A slave pleaded to her master.
Misericors Toshinori only scoffed at the pathetic display. “And why should I? It’s not like she’s my daughter.”
Vera continued to scrub, the wounds on her hands stinging. She tried desperately to ignore the conversation happening behind her. Even at six years old, she knew better than to hope for kindness. Not from her stepfather.
“She’s just a child! Give her a chance to live, I beg you!” The woman dropped to her knees, groveling before the white-clad man.
“The illegitimate brat is lucky she’s even allowed to breathe.” Misericors sneered, hatred flowing like venom from his lips. “At the very least I should be able to profit from her continued existence.”
“Enough of this.” A firm, feminine voice interrupted the slave before she could speak. Praesentia Aenigmatica, the lady of the house, entered the ornately decorated parlor. An air of authority followed the woman. “Stop this wretched babbling and get back to work.” Her eyes crinkled as her attention shifted from the slave to her child, still scrubbing away as if she’d not just had her hands crushed.
Paper rustled as it exchanged hands. Praesentia’s scowl transitioned into a delighted smile upon reading the letter’s contents. “This is splendid, dear. Finally, someone willing to pay our asking price.”
Praesentia moved to exit the room, turning to address the slave who’d been pleading for her daughter’s arranged marriage. “And clean up the whelp. She’s smearing blood on the floor.”

“Excuse me, miss. But may I see your panties?” Vera stared at the skeletal hand outstretched toward her. The undead man had made the vulgar request with such decorum that the girl didn't know how to respond. Luckily enough, that decision was made for her almost immediately.
“Ow!” Bone could be heard breaking under Nami’s fist.
“Cut it out, Brook!” Anger morphed the ginger woman’s face into a monstrous expression. “Go be a perv somewhere else!”
The musician rubbed his afro-clad skull as he scurried away. “Sorry about him. Anyway, it’s nice to meet you!” As if the disturbance had never occurred, Nami’s features returned to a calm smile.
Vera opened her mouth, about to thank the woman for dealing with the offending skeleton when a boy bounded up to her, holding a straw hat firmly against his head. “So you’re a witch?!” The raven haired boy wore a toothy grin that scrunched his face.
Smooth fingers landed on Vera’s shoulder. “The genuine article.” Sanji nodded, lifting a newly-lit cigarette to his lips and inhaling deeply. “I thought a spell caster would make a great addition to the crew. Plus, she’s a trained maid!”
Luffy’s eyes sparkled. “That’s so cool! Join my crew!” He waited with impatience for Vera’s answer.
She shook the cook’s hand off her shoulder and pondered her options. This group was far more eclectic than she’d imagined when Sanji told her they were pirates. The captain was barely an adult and acted more like an impulsive child. Did she really want to swear her loyalty to someone so boisterous?
Sensing her hesitation, a furry creature approached. Vera had to look downward, observing the form of a tanuki. With antlers? And a hat? It spoke in a child-like voice. “If you’re nervous, I can promise you’ll have fun here!”
The girl’s head rotated, her gaze meeting a large window. Trees bent in harsh curves, strong winds forcing them into unnatural positions. A thick haze obscured much of the village, rain falling in quantities so large that only the buildings nearest the hotel could be seen. Had she not ran into Sanji at such an opportune moment, she’d likely be out in this very storm. But thanks to that chance encounter, she was indoors and engaged in a conversation with the potential to alter her life indefinitely.
“Alright.” She nodded to her new captain, deciding an uncertain future was favorable to continuing the past.
“Woohoo!” Luffy raised a fist in the air, exclaiming his excitement. “That’s one more crew member and one step closer to becoming King of the Pirates! Sanji, start cooking so we can celebrate!”
***
Sanji in fact, did not cook upon his captain’s request. Being stuck ashore, away from his kitchen and pantry, the chef had nothing to prepare. Instead, the crew had raided the hotel’s snack bar. A banquet of junk food now spread amongst them, half emptied wrappers and tins littered the hotel room as lively chatter filled the air.
“And that’s how I took down a kidnapping ring using only a seashell, an empty book of matches, and my trusty slingshot!” Usopp struck a proud pose as his story concluded. The tale had been an obvious fabrication, but entertaining nonetheless.
“Yeah, yeah.” Zoro dismissed the other man’s excitement, a sake bottle hovering just short of his lips. “You sure your name isn’t really Pinocchio? That nose is long enough for it.”
“What’s a Pinocchio?” Chopper - who Vera later discovered was not a tanuki but actually a reindeer, and the crew’s doctor - asked through a mouthful of cotton candy.
“He’s calling Usopp a liar.” Robin answered the confused reindeer, her eyes obscured by a book recounting the island’s history.
“What? That story wasn’t true?” The doctor’s innocent eyes bore into his nakama, silently begging for the enrapturing tale he’d just heard to be true.
A snort brought the group’s attention to their newest crewmate. Vera had been taking a drink, the adorable scene being so out of place amidst a group of criminals that she couldn’t help the laughter now flowing from her drenched lips.
“For you, mademoiselle.” A clean handkerchief was offered to the girl, deep blue orbs seeming to gaze into her soul. She’d come to learn much about the StrawHat Pirates in the few short hours she’d spent with them. For example, the kind chef she’d seemingly been rescued by was actually a chivalrous flirt who pushed the line between simp and pervert on a regular basis.
“Thanks, Sanji. But I got this.” With a wave of her hand, the liquid disappeared.
“Woah! That was magic, yeah?” Franky, a large cyborg and the crew’s shipwright, pointed to Vera’s now dry form with a cola bottle. Upon receiving a nod, the blue-haired man continued. “What else can you do?”
Vera nervously rolled the hem of her apron between two fingers, looking down toward her lap. “Mostly just small spells like that. All I did was transport the water into a pocket dimension within the astral plane.”
“Is that where the book came from earlier?”
The girl muttered a quiet affirmative to Sanji’s question, uncomfortable with the number of eyes focused on her.
“You can send things to and from the astral plane?! Just think what you could steal that way! All the berries we’d have!” Nami’s eyes shone with greed, already cooking up a plan and counting the riches it’d bring.
“Or the meat! You’d always have food whenever you wanted!” Luffy joined the navigator in her daydreaming, drool running from his mouth.
“I’d use it for sake!” Zoro joined in, his cheeks already flush from the aforementioned liquor . “Nothing better than a constant supply of good booze!”
“Could you use it to hide dirty magazines?”
“You can do it with books? I’d love to have access to my library wherever we go.”
“Or sweets!”
“What about cola? Barrels of cola!”
“Hey! She isn’t our personal storage!” Sanji cut in, bringing his fellow Strawhats down from their imaginings.
“There’s a limit on how much I can transport.” Vera spoke softly, her companions barely able to hear the words as they came out. “The bigger something is, the more energy it takes to send or retrieve. And I only have so much energy to use before it gets dangerous.” Her eyes never rose as she informed the group of her limitations. “I can regain energy by eating or sleeping, but I can't really store large amounts.”
“Aww man!” Luffy fell onto his back, disappointment evident in his voice. “I really wanted that meat.”
“Could you not eat a huge meal and then transport something bigger?” Robin had closed her book and held a contemplative expression.
“How brilliant, Robin! Beauty and brains! What a blessing it is to be in the same crew as you!” Sanji held his hands tightly together as his eyes turned to hearts. He then turned to Vera, his enthusiasm unwavering. “And if it’s energy you need then I’ll make sure all your meals are packed full of nutrients! Of course I’d do that regardless. I’d never neglect a gorgeous lady’s nutrition! But I’ll put extra love and effort into yours!”
“Think of it like a glass of water.” Vera began, both surprised and silently delighted that someone actually cared to understand her powers. Before continuing, she held out a hand and whispered something unintelligible. An empty glass appeared which she placed on the ground.
“I’m the glass and my energy is the water.” She turned her palm downward, hovering above the cup’s open mouth. Liquid began to ooze from her skin, dripping down and landing within the vessel. “I can pour water in by sleeping or eating, but the cup stays the same size. So even if I sleep for a week or eat a twelve course meal, the amount of power I can store is limited.”
At this point, the glass began to overflow. The liquid’s descent abruptly stopped and began flowing in reverse, disappearing upon its return to Vera’s palm. “Plus, I still need energy to live and do normal, non-magic stuff.” When the cup had emptied, cracks began to form along its walls. “So if I try to do something that uses too much power, I could end up hurting myself.”
The glass disappeared as well once Vera had finished her speech and demonstration. Her eyes grew wide and she began to stammer, blurting out a hasty adage. “B-but I wouldn’t mind transporting stuff for you guys! As long as it isn’t too big or anything.”
The witch raised her eyes to meet kind smiles. Nami spoke, her voice soft and genuine. “We get it. Just got a little excited there. But don’t worry. No one here would try to push you too far or force you to do anything.”
***
A bright sunrise glared over the island. Birds sung, nature’s symphony signaling a new day. Tree limbs and shingles littered the streets. The storm had raged through the night, only ending a few hours before dawn. Though damages were evident across the village, no buildings appeared to have suffered structurally.
Vera yawned, stretching her arms into the air. She stood on a balcony, breathing deeply and relishing the petrichor. Her eyes surveyed the island - her home for the better part of a decade - knowing this would be her last chance.
“Coffee?” She turned to see a sleepy blonde chef, a mug of steaming liquid in each hand.
“Thank you, Sanji.” She took the drink happily, sniffing before taking a sip and humming her delight for the flavor.
The man smiled, coming to rest his elbows onto the railing beside her. “We’ll be leaving once everyone’s awake. Last chance to change your mind.”
Dark bangs tossed as Vera shook her head. “Not much to miss when it was never home to begin with.”
“Oh?” A swirly eyebrow raised. “And where is home?”
Vera turned away, her face hidden from the cook. “Far away. In both distance and time. What about you?”
Sanji took on a wistful expression, his gaze moving to the horizon. “I was born in the North Blue, but grew up in the East. Ever heard of a restaurant called Baratie?”
Memories flashed in the back of Vera’s mind. Cruel parental figures, a contract, and a boy from the North Blue. She shook the memories away, continuing the conversation with her new crewmate.
