#charcuterie saga #The original version of this was a watercolour but unfortunately I left it behind while travelling...#Along with some of my comic pages and my scripting notes (that's why I have yet to post more pd-mdzs...I funked it up big time)#This board was made on Dec 30th and I am very thankful to the people who helped donate various components to make it possible.#I took a few variations on the composition and while this one has some flaws - I think it has the most personality!#True Charcuterie fans will look at my choices and weep but I never promised good charcuterie!!! I promised accuracy to the poll!#Some elements stand in as 'double counting' in categories. Which was a survival technique for me.#I had to learn a lot of new things to make this possible! My skills like in making the physical wooden board - not the arrangement of food!#Rosemary was hotly debated as I personally do think it counts as edible (so not a valid pick for 'decoration').#I also thought tomato sauce could count as a fruit and spread.#My cursed hand has fingerprints in other parts of this tragedy. Beware looking too closely.#Of course there is a version of reality in which I have the disposable income to buy 20+ different kinds of cheese and-#-make this baby absolutely massive. really unpopular opinion but if ur trans u should probably lie to ur doctors. not all of them necessarily, but like you could and should especially in the er/urgent care, specifically if what youre having treated/checkups for has nothing to do with your transition. i had chest pain from binding for years that wasnt addressed because i was told it was just anxiety, until the first time i stealthed at the er. suddenly they wanted to run tests on me and said that my ribs were fucked up but they didnt know from what. ive had chest pain for years and i thought i was binding safely but i was also binding for 6 1/2 years before my operation and youre not really supposed to do that

also, even if youre getting gender affirming care, they do not need to know all the details. gay/lesbian/st4t? they dont need to know. transfem top/transmasc bottom looking for srs? dont tell them that. nonbinary/nondysphoric /otherwise gender nonconforming? dont fucking tell them that. a lot of trans people that arent t4c heterosexual and binary trans people, or just trans people who dont follow traditional gender norms during sex/in general are discriminated against all the time. you cannot lie to your doctors about everything, but theres a lot of things that you honestly should just keep to yourself when seeking care as a trans person. as far as your doctor is concerned, youre a binary trans person who isnt comfortable disclosing their personal sex life and its none of their business. letting them think ur a binary trans t4c heterosexual is the smart thing to do

#i mention st4t specifically because the people (doctors) who expect trans people to conform to gender roles also expect them to date #cis people of the opposite gender #in my personal experience #and obviously you dont have to follow any of this advice #also if you can its smart to say youve lived as ur desired sex to the best of ur ability for at least 2 years #even if its just online or not true at all. just dont mention it lol #i understand that a lot of people are deluded into thinking that doctors are the smartest most insightful people in the world #but also every trans person i know including myself has been withheld competent care for being trans #and a lot of the time our transness didnt even need to be disclosed #the average doctor that isnt involved in trans healthcare specifically is not trans informed #they probably heard that trans people exist for like an hour in their schooling and that was it #not every doctor needs to know youre trans to give you competent care #and unfortunately a lot of times if they do know #they will not give you competent care #stay safe out there #trans #t4t #st4t #transmasc #trans man #transhet #t4t mlw #transgender #transsexual #transfem #trans lesbian #trans woman #trans gay #gay t4t #lesbian t4t
