Steven Moffat has admitted that he intended for Petronella Osgood to be the daughter of Tom Osgood, the UNIT soldier who worked with the Third Doctor.

However, he never stated this explicitly, as he wanted the fans to decide for themselves who she is or could be.

Ingrid Oliver, who plays her, has confirmed she made her own decision as to who survived out of the original Osgood and the Zygon copy.

But she refuses to tell anyone, including Moffat, so "you can make your own mind up."

Jo is quite possibly my favourite companion, along with Sarah and Harry. The Doctor treats her as is she was his daughter; protective, all caring, constanly telling her not to worry about him just when he's in terrible danger, and when he's back... a huge hug he recieves! And if that wasn't enough, in The Green Death, by the end when Jo was getting married, he was literally in the verge of tears. I love that shot of him getting into Bessie, while guarded by sheep, his face all moved, the sunset falling, his hearts rather torn.

Unfortunately the Doctor's God-knows-how-old-they-are cheeks don't get many kisses. He once kissed Jo's forehead in Colony in Space, and that scene is incredibly sweet. C'mon, it's Christmas! Get a mistletoe at UNIT HQ with these two together and draw the cutest bloody thing that ever existed in the headquarters! And reminder - Kisses under the mistletoe don't always have to be on the lips.

i feel so passionate everytime i see any form of media that captures tobio's story so well. there's so much more to him than what meets the eye, and when i see an editor/artist/writer understand him so well it makes me so happy!!! kageyama tobio is an incredibly talented AND hardworking character that never gave up on his dreams. even when he felt like an outsider in middle school, lost his grandpa who showed him the world of volleyball, and was terrified to be excluded from a team again, tobio never ONCE gave up on volleyball. tobio knew what he wanted to do with his life and nothing was ever going to change that. he worked hard, not just physically but also mentally and emotionally. he became someone thousands could look up to. he grew to be such a fantastic person loved and supported by so many people in haikyuu. he's just such an amazing character that i love dearly <33

I read that book when I was like 10 and it totally rewired my brain and how I saw the Doctor Master relationship! It’s SO SO GOOD! Here are some select quotes from it I found on tumblr!

“Well, for a start, he’s tried to kill you on several occasions! In really horrible ways!”

The Doctor could not bring himself to answer. And she would never have expected him to offer her a consoling lie, anyway. The Doctor had too much respect for Jo for that. She knew how he saw her. With affection, certainly. A companion he valued, whose opinions and instincts he had come to prize. A necessary foil for his own vanity. Someone he enjoyed showing off to. Beyond that, though, she was under no particular illusions.

The Doctor was fond of her. But only the Doctor and the Master knew what it felt like to be the Doctor and the Master. No human being in history had ever come close to an understanding of how they experienced time and eternity. Not even Einstein on the best day of his life.

Oh well , Jo thought. At least the Doctor didn’t actively disdain her. That was something. And of all the people now alive, only she got to spend a significant part of her existence in his company. Only she got to see some of the things he spoke of. That also was something. But being around the Doctor could burn as well.

Synopsis

Okay admittedly I haven't read this book in years and have a bad memory. However! Such a good book. It is thee Doctor x Master book imo. So if you enjoy them (especially if you enjoy Three/Delgado!Master) you should definitely read it. Quote: ""We are what we are, Doctor. If I did not exist, the universe would soon fill the void left by my absence. You could almost say that the universe requires us. We are order and disorder. We balance each other very effectively."" Hello, friends! I know we've been a bit radio silent as our between-season break stretched on and on and on - on the plus side, I am feeling gorgeously well-rested after almost four months off 😅 The good news is, Matt and I are finally getting our arses into gear, and have a Big Serious Planning Session in the diary for tomorrow afternoon, where we'll put a firm launch date on Travelling Light Season 2 and figure out what all we need to do to get there.

TL;DR - TLS2 is coming, and sooner rather than later! Thanks so much for your patience as I lounged on the sofa and Matt did busy, actually-very-important things at his grown up job 💕

To all the women, people of colour and different cultures in America, I’m deeply sorry for the outcome of this election.

I’m not even American, and so I can’t begin to imagine the fear, pain, resentment, oppression and all other complex emotions you must be feeling. This is truly a horrible result, and I’m not going to lie and say I think this chapter of americas history will be good or easy.

All I can offer is my absolute empathy and the fact that my inbox is always open. Don’t take this out on yourself: you did the best you could, and are doing the best you can and so many others did too.

I know it’s not today, and I know it’s hard to hope, and it’s easy for me to say when I’m removed from this awful situation you’re facing. But one day, all the fighting you did and that you continue to do and that you will do will change something. It will.

And until then, however I can I’m here to support any of you and hope that you can stay strong however you can. I hope you’re feeling better or that you can soon.
