stupid rant dont mind me.
its almost definitely the autism in me, but oh my god if theres one thing i hate its when people misunderstand characters or situations in media. i don’t know what it is but it just angers me to no end.
i don’t expect everyone to be a huge psychology nerd like me, or to even be interested in seeing all possible sides to a situation. but its just…you really cannot make an informed decision, or even have an opinion on certain things without the right information. humans are multi-facted, and if you’re dealing with actual complex media that showcases this, you need to make sure you fully understand something (or someone) to have a valid take.
maybe im too critical, but honestly imo this goes for real life as well.
i mean it’s perfectly fine to have a negative opinion on anything, feelings are valid regardless of what caused them. but jesus christ. isn’t it better to know all of the facts first? even if it doesn’t change your opinion?
its just so annoying i don’t even have the words for it.
anyways, rant over. byebye

YES this is a depressing and whiny personal post but:
sure wish people were more honest about:
a) being 26 with very little serious dating experience is often going to be a mark against you because:
i) lack of confidence is not sexy and lack of experience often leads to lack of confidence ii) people may wonder if you have not dated previously bc you have some flaw that makes you a bad partner, which makes them more wary iii) some people in their mid/late twenties are just plain not interested in being someone's first boyfriend
b) dating is also partly a numbers game and at a certain point the numbers are just not in your favour anymore
i) after graduating, in many cases it is harder to meet people your own age just in general ii) people who want to be in serious relationships and who are good partners are desirable to other people too, they aren't just sitting around waiting for you, and getting into a serious relationship removes them from your dating pool

𝟓𝟎% 𝐎𝐅𝐅 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐄 ON ALL OF MY CHART READINGS!, YOU CAN BOOK YOUR OWN VENUS PERSONA CHART ANALYSIS!.
Check the first part (𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄)
𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐑: 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐦𝐲 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞, 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫/𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬… 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞!.
𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄: thank you for 𝟐,𝟓𝐤 aww even when im not active you guys still consume my content like crazy that’s so sweet!! + 𝐁𝐔𝐂𝐊𝐋𝐄 𝐔𝐏 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀 𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐀𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃!.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 in your chart tells you how you approach relationships and how’s your outlook on them!
For example having a 𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭 may point that you put romance on pedestal, you have a dreamy perspective of love, very spiritual and almost unrealistic, you also believe that making sacrifices for your lovers is a must, while on the other hand having 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 may suggest that you take relationships seriously and very strictly, you take no bullshit and with the slightest hint of disrespect you’re out!.
𝐏𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 natives are blessed by god truly, their beauty is out of this world im not joking, sirens, they are sirens!.
𝐋𝐞𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐧 𝟓,𝟏𝟕,𝟐𝟗, means iconic and timeless beauty, like Naomi Campbell.
She also had a 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐬, which may indicate lots of gossip about you and your beauty!.
Also most of the models charts i took a quick look at had at least one of their 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐬𝐢𝐱 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞, which indicates that their health is exactly as important as their beauty, maybe even more, they mostly had 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞, which may indicate EDs.
I noticed that bold make up usually don’t really suit people with 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, they themselves might like wearing a no-make-up make-up look.
On the contrary if you have 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐢𝐨 in your venus persona chart you might focus on enchasing your eyes more than the rest of your other features, you may wear lash extensions, bold mascara or prefer a smokey eye look!.
𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐨 𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐨 𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭 gives you that old money clean beauty, Monica Bellucci has both of these placements.
𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 on the other hand may lean towards a look that draws attention to their mouth more— bold lipstick is their bestfriend, they may prefer it more than anything else and it’s usually red, god how i love your smiles!.
𝐒𝐮𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 may mean that you like to keep your income a secret, people could never know what you do for living and the details of your earnings if you don’t elaborate about it yourself, otherwise good luck for them finding out.
On the other hand if you have 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 it may be known that you work for/with your parents, i saw it in most of the Nepo babies charts, their mother figure or their older sisters are known, and usually their families have real estates, restaurants, or a known line of something.
Nepo babies also had 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 or a strong moon, for example Lilly rose deep where her 𝐒𝐮𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐣𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐂.
Tumblr media
The sex appeal 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐣𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭 𝐀𝐂 natives carry around is not a joke, they are known to be femme fatales.
Having a 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐧 in short could mean that your mood defines your self worth, a friend of mine has this placement, she told me this and i quote ‘the way i see my beauty depends on how i’m feeling at the moment, that’s why whenever i’m a bit gloomy i avoid mirrors because i’m not letting a disastrous day or a situation change my pov of myself’.
Also 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐬 gives you the ability to pull any look or style, for both genders, like a woman would rock a tomboy style, and a man would have an alluring slightly feminine look on him.
People with 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐣𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭 𝐉𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐫 𝐉𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐂 had the best post marriage glow up i’ve ever seen truly.
Having a 𝟏𝐬𝐭/𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐧 𝐨𝐫 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐬, 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐒𝐮𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐣𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐬 indicates that you may profit from your image, your face and how you look, you may gain popularity from your looks.
Same thing for 𝐉𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞!.
If you have any 𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐧, 𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐧, 𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐲, 𝐣𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐫 𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐬) i believe that you should think about starting any online business that has a thing to do about that planet meaning.
For example i have 𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐲 and i sell my knowledge basically, 𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐣𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫? you may start teaching a thing you excel in, and 𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐬?, please tell us your beauty secrets!.
𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝐬𝐭/𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 may indicate that you have some problems with your self image, especially when you go into a relationship you may be afraid of how the other person will perceive you constantly, you’re always worried about their point of view of you!..
However it’s in your hands to heal that toxic mindset once you learn how to truly love yourself, because your looks or your image don’t determine your value, beauty is diverse, beauty has always been from within, and you’re actually worth more than some unrealistic beauty standards and expectations.
𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞/𝐀𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐮𝐦? Go red hair!, or any warm tone it suits you!!.
Having 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐀𝐂 may suggest that you have a long slim face, or like you’re just tall in general, I noticed that alot their faces are longggg, they also tend to match every trend somehow, also i noticed that they have almond eyes!.
Your 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 in the chart could tell us also about your style in general, how you prefer your perfumes, your clothes, and your make up look!:
Breaking it down 𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐬 suggests that you like to keep it bold, make a statement with your outfit and your scent, sandal wood is always a great choice for you, while a 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐬 will tune it down a bit, they like nude and calm colors like brown, gray, black!, they also like to keep it basic, which is drastically different from scorpio venus whom focus more on looking magnetic and seductive, they love black tight clothes. 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐬 keeps it edgy, even if they’re 70 you’ll see them keeping up with the trends, taurus venus loves old money aesthetics!, and 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐬 are all about clean floury scents and make up!.
𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐫!.

May encounter a lot of inner tension in their close relationships. But having an open mind and bouncing back from rejection helps them grow in wisdom.
Moon Square Jupiter: Can manifest as overoptimism, exaggerated emotions, or conflicts between emotional needs and excessive desires for growth. Balancing emotional depth with realistic optimism is key for growth and fulfillment.
Mercury Trine Jupiter: Has a sharp mind and can't resist a deep conversation or study. Can balance paying attention to the details with seeing the big picture. Mercury Opposite Jupiter: Could be overly skeptical in their life OR the opposite and not have good judgment. May overestimate their knowledge and can be overconfident in communication. But a great desire to learn can guide them in life.
Mercury Square Jupiter: Can give into overthinking, overpromising, and exaggeration. Can get stuck in a closed mindset. May confuse wisdom with intellect and vice versa. Feels a lot of inner conflict with their beliefs and how they are taught things growing up. Growth comes from varied experiences for these individuals. Being more adventurous and curious may be good.
Venus Trine Jupiter: May have a very positive outlook on love and relationships. Known for being a "lucky" placement for love and romance. Can be a giving and appreciative lover. Having a happy romantic relationship is a high priority in their life. May need to be careful of having rose-colored glasses towards partners sometimes or jumping into relationships too quickly.
Venus Opposite Jupiter: Can struggle to be realistic in their relationships. Gets carried away, easily flustered, and maybe easily discouraged in love. May desire stability and safety but pleasure is a big temptation for them. On the flipside, can be an extravagant and passionate lover.
Venus Square Jupiter: Excess and running before walking can hinder their close relationships. They always find themselves being impulsive in love or being overly selfish. When they do give to others it can feel out of control, unpredictable, or even disingenuous somehow. Independence and separation help them gain better perspective on things. Moderation and self-awareness help them to become a better partner or to select better lovers.
Mars Trine Jupiter: Ambitious and bold! Two lively planets are in harmony in one's chart. This person can be very hungry for success. They build up their self-confidence at a young age or understands the need to grow their confidence when younger. May be a lively, energetic, or competitive individual. Can easily lose sight of softer or slower parts of life and the simple things that matter.
Mars Opposite Jupiter: May be rash, overly assertive or competitive, and get obsessed with ambition. Could be a combative person or have a love of conflict that becomes destructive or irksome. May not see value in patience, humility, and service. But this individual does have a good grasp on holding their own in conflicts and competition. With ego work and by slowing down they can gain a lot of insight into managing their own drive and purpose in life.
Mars Square Jupiter: Can deal with struggles where everything Mars does become excessive - competition, ambition, anger, conflict, desire, and passion. Anger problems and selfishness tend to be common manifestations for this aspect. However this placement can be looked at as a place of strength for willpower and libido. Even a calmer person with this placement may struggle with recklessness and/or lots of burn out. A tip is to learn to save up your energy for when it is needed.
Jupiter Trine Saturn: This individual learns their lessons quickly. They may have a good balance of optimism and skepticism. Can have a strong work ethic or healthy amount of ambition. Known as a favorable position for finances or going after your goals. May have good relationships with authority figures or becomes an authority figure themselves quickly or early in life. May struggle with impatience at times or favoring discipline over impulsiveness or vice versa to an unpredictable extreme.
Jupiter Opposite Saturn: Stuck on a rollercoaster of high optimism and low pessimism. Can run into a lot of frustrations or delays in their plans for life. Can easily overexert themselves and face burn out. Associated with both financial struggles and success, is commonly cited as a position that goes through booms and busts throughout their career. Learning strategic long-term planning can help them cope with these struggles. Relying on practicality and discipline can be very useful for these individuals. Battling self-doubt is common, they can have big dreams but must KEEP GOING to achieve them.
Jupiter Square Saturn: May struggle with a lack of responsibility or discipline. Can experience push-pull dynamics where they feel caught between their aspirations and the practical realities. Can be conflicted between their desires and a need for freedom. However when they win in life, they tend to win big.
Jupiter Trine Uranus: An innovative, charismatic, independent, enthusiastic, and inspiring individual. This aspect is known for being favorable for unexpected opportunities. Can be very open to growth and self-improvement. Their desire for freedom can be large and even domineering, causing some frustrations in life.
Jupiter Opposite Uranus: This person may feel like they live a chaotic life and/or have a chaotic self. A deep feeling of restlessness may exist. When these two planets meet sudden growth or opportunities may happen, but with the opposition this can also mean a lot of sudden upheavals and disruptions. These individuals may have grand visions but find themselves questioning or challenging ways of achieving them. This can result in a pattern of starting ambitious projects but having difficulty following through to completion. They may frequently challenge or be challenged by authority and conformity. But they can also be highly adaptable people who grow in confidence and cleverness over time.
Jupiter Square Uranus: Runs into excitement and intense growth as well as instability and unpredictable challenges. Can be a restless, impatient, rebellious, risky, and erratic individual. Can really struggle with authority figures. Can be overly independent to where it hinders their ability to get close to others. However they can be bold and willing to break boundaries. Can also be a role model to living your own life, being your own authority, and nurturing independence.
Jupiter Trine Neptune: A highly intuitive and potentially spiritual individual. Idealistic, compassionate, imaginative, giving, and highly values their integrity. They might have a strong faith in the "goodness" of life or of others. Can be prone to escapism, toxic positivity, or being overly trusting.
Jupiter Opposite Neptune: This aspect can lead to unrealistic expectations and over-optimism. There is a heightened risk of deception or being misled, as the influence of Neptune can blur boundaries and obscure reality while Jupiter expands, jumps, and indulges. Might struggle with unhealthy escapism or avoiding responsibilities, preferring fantasy over dealing with practical matters. This aspect can also lead to heightened creativity and imagination, fueling artistic and spiritual pursuits. It encourages compassion and a desire to help others, promoting altruism and empathy.
Jupiter Square Neptune: Can struggle with confusion, poor judgment, being used, impracticality, and falling for illusions throughout life. Disappointment and disillusionment may be a familiar friend unfortunately. But this aspect can stimulate profound thinking, depth. They can also have a large heart. They may master living in a world where sharks and con artist are around every corner, learning to spot a liar or a fake.
Jupiter Trine Pluto: A whole lot of inner strength. This aspect fosters a deep sense of purpose and the ability to influence and inspire others, making it easier to effect positive change on a larger scale. However their intense drive for success and transformation can sometimes lead to an obsession with power or control, potentially causing strain in personal or professional relationships.
Jupiter Opposite Pluto: Can indicate someone who deals with a lot of explosive power struggles in life. May be manipulative or power hungry themselves. Can give into obsession and extreme behavior of all types. Has a great ability to empower themselves by facing their inner demons head on.
Jupiter Square Pluto: May be a dogmatic, closed-minded, judgmental, and overly harsh person, especially in their beliefs. A desire for control may manifest through philosophies or religion somehow. But this person can have a lot of determination and depending on their ethics may be a great force to change the world around them for the better.

alright curveball what typical archetype would boothill be in a high school setting and what would he be like with his partner >:) (hc format please)
Boothill HS AU headcanons:
OMG OMG nonnie, that’s such a cool ask. I honestly would’ve not thought about this concept myself, cause school was so so long ago for me, but I’ve got the vision of HS Boothill right away when I read it💖 CW: none, g/n reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So Boothill as the archetype would be ‘the classmate who looks like a local thug but is actually the kindest soul.’
Imagine your classmate who is not really studious and can disrupt the lesson by loudly laughing and talking in class and does this 5/5 days per week. He’s loud and brush and sometimes vulgar.
Once, he kicked and cussed out the vending machine out in hallway so loudly when you passed by that it made you physically jump. Even though he’s noticed that and tried to apologize to you, calling out your name through the hall, since that time you’ve decided that you don’t like him.
You are slightly annoyed by this and never approach him, but he’s got a big presence in school, so you see and hear things about him from time to time, though you don’t know which rumors are true and which are not. Some of them sound crazy: once he beat 4 to 5 upperclassmen alone. Some say it was 10 of them. Some say he’s got something on the principal; hence he doesn’t get in trouble with anyone. Some say it’s cause he’s the principal’s kid. Or lover. Those all sound crazy and unrealistic, but who knows?
Once you see him really beating up someone behind the school building with your own eyes. You stand there and watch for a bit, thinking about reporting this to someone, but then you notice Boothill coming up to a smaller kid, sitting on the ground not far away, comforting him and picking up his bag, helping the kid to pack the contents inside. You just hear never-ending ‘thank you’s in between small sobs and Boothill’s warm laughter afterwards.
Another day, you hear him quarrelling loudly with a teacher, which sounded again completely disrespectful from his side. Later, from murmurs around school you learn that he stood up for the shyer kid when he thought that they were unjustly reprimanded.
Once you saw him in the street after school on the day when he was missing, presumably staying in sick or something. He shouted out your name from the tree, causing you to flinch again. Turns out, he spent hours trying to get one stubborn kitty to come to him, skipping classes cause of it.
It was a bit awkward when you started dating, cause being in his orbit meant that you too became more known in school and began noticing stares and hearing whispers about you.
Boothill is a total sweetheart with you, even though he can be slightly obnoxious and is not good at reading the mood from time to time. It doesn’t matter since his positive outlook and mostly always good mood is oh so infectious.
He’s also very physical, not minding the pda at school. Walking with you holding your hand, hugging from behind etc.
He doesn’t mind spending the whole day at school attempting to study, especially if you’re a diligent student. Though he is a student who’s always ready to and will bail classes and will try to talk you into skipping school with him cause it’s just too much fun stuff happening outside that seems much more important to him.
I see the dynamic as a he’s a good influence in terms for teaching his s/o to be more assertive and confident in themselves and in return being the one who needs to be stopped and calmed out a bit when he acts on a whim.

i do think that the most satisfying (romantic) ending for eddie would be him getting with buck, because nothing can really beat 6 seasons of development. however. i also don't think it's impossible for him to find happiness with someone else in a way that would feel real and organic to the audience. eddie's issue has always been, first and foremost, placing unrealistic and rigid expectations on himself, and having a very narrow outlook on what a relationship should look like. most of this is informed by his trauma and grief over how things went down with shannon. once he breaks free of that mold—and dating a man could certainly be the catalyst for it—it actually wouldn't be that hard for him to find genuine happiness with someone and even let them into christopher's life. obviously nothing would be as satisfying as him and buck getting together, but that says more about the way their relationship has been built up, and the way the seeds have been planted all along, than it says about eddie as a character.

Let’s talk about this scene…
Tumblr media
I’ve seen some really unfair takes on this so far and I can only conclude it’s because some people either want completely flawless characters or cannot use a little bit of critical thinking…
First the one thing we should all agree on - this is not ok, this is misogynistic, this is unsympathetic and this is unfair.
However, it is also realistic, there are a few reasons for this:
1. His Trauma
It’s absolutely not a coincidence that we learn Kazuki never knew/met his own parents before we see this scene, it’s also not a coincidence that we know from previous episodes that he was almost a father but that horrifically his pregnant wife and unborn child were k*lled before he had the chance to even get a flavour of what it felt like to have a family.
Tumblr media
He is being faced with a woman who has a living child, who has had the chance at family he has never been able to have and she’s rejecting it. Now I’m not saying it’s right but it’s understandable that his anger pours out here, he has these unrealistic ideals thoughts about motherhood/parenthood because he hasn’t lived them but he has so so desperately wanted to, has had that taken away from him and of course it really f*ckin hurts. Yes he disregards her reasoning, yes he’s never been a woman but if you think this traumatised man with absolutely no baseline for family values is going to say the exact right thing (or not the completely wrong thing) in a heightened emotional confrontation about family then you need to have a re-think, this was never going to be a pleasant healing encounter.
2. Miri
Something people also seem to be forgetting, he’s there to return her daughter. The little girl he is already besotted with/devoted to, the little girl he doesn’t want to give back (set up nicely in the episode by Rei repeatedly calling him a lousy liar). He’s faced with her mother saying she always wanted to hit her, no matter who you are do not tell me in the heat of the moment you wouldn’t be getting up and yelling about how they should be a better parent, his reaction is defensive, his words are lofty and that line is unfair but his empathy in the moment is not for this stranger who’s saying she wants to hit her (his) daughter, it’s for Miri, the little girl he fed breakfast and chanted ‘bananya’ with in the kitchen that morning.
Tumblr media
I think Miri’s mother is written in a way that we are supposed to feel some empathy for her, and I do 100%, but I also think that empathy needs to be extended to Kazuki’s character here too. At the end of the day these are two flawed and deeply traumatised characters having an argument - what comes out of their mouths isn’t always going to be pretty.
This turned out way longer than I thought it would but I needed to get it off my chest! Yes it’s a bad take, but it hasn’t come from nothing. I think it’s likely a bit of a set up so we can see him move from these kind of ideals to a more realistic outlook.

One thing that sucks about the FE support system is that characters are never* able to undergo character development that would actually change their feelings/attitudes/outlooks on the world as a whole because that would interfere with the plots of other supports and sometimes paralogues or story segments too. I feel like it just leads to the conclusions of supports often feeling kind of unsatisfying. It basically makes it so that characters are only allowed to decide their support partners are exceptions to the rule of their worldview rather than letting them... change their worldview. I feel like it's mostly a thing in Three Houses (especially a certain character's supports) but I can think of a few examples in other games as well.
*It's either that or they ARE allowed to undergo development, but then because obviously they can't just rewrite supports depending on what supports have been completed, in other supports it's like they never underwent it at all.
There's obviously no good way to remedy this, the only possible way I could think of would be writing alternate supports and dialogue that changes depending on if certain supports have been completed, which is very unrealistic and would require a lot of work that I am positive intsys isn't willing to put in. So I'm kind of complaining about a problem that literally cannot be solved. But I just kinda wanted to talk about it I guess.

Arguing for realism in Stranger Things
So whenever the take "Mike and Will can't be together because it's not realistic" comes up, usually from twitter or reddit, I often find it met with the argument on here of "Well, this is a supernatural show about monsters so who cares about realism!" or something similar along those lines.
While I understand the the sentiment behind it, and yes advocating for realism in a sci-fi fantasy show may seem silly, but I find this argument to be kind of flawed.
The initial take isn't coming a genuine advocacy for realism, but instead using "realism" as a flimsy cover for their homophobia. The more appropriate response should be to question why they believe a happy resolve for homosexuality is unrealistic in the first place. You countering their argument by claiming that the show is unrealistic is only backing up their belief that a happy ending for gay people is also unrealistic.
Stranger Things is a realistic show.
And, okay, ST does not fall into the same category of cinéma-vérité-dogme-95-esque-hyper-realism that a show like Succession may fall under, but it does try to capture real emotions and real experiences using supernatural elements as a vehicle to explore such things. Sure, alternate dimensions and tentacle monsters are not realistic, but the American government trying to coverup and undermine the suffering of queer people, as well as the constant fear of an encroaching foreign power, is incredibly realistic to that time period.
It's not often caught on from the casual viewer because it's carefully placed under layers of subtext, although in the show's defense for some of these viewers the Reagan/Bush signs from season 2 are purely just set pieces and don't have any further meaning. But the supernatural elements are not arbitrarily placed and the show doesn't take place in the 80's simply for the nostalgia factor, these facets all work together to speak to real experiences.
And sure, sometimes even the non-supernatural elements can come off as exaggerated, such as the Russian storyline, but one could argue that this is a dramatization of very real Cold War anxieties that did exist at this time.
So, when it comes to displaying realistic emotions, why should the way the show handles queer identity and relationships be any different?
And the show does handle queerness in an almost tragically realistic way. The show’s queer characters must adhere to the precedents of the 1980’s, and the supernatural element is one way to exemplify some of those fears. Will lives in fear of something slowly taking over and killing his body, while the Reagan Administration government scientists treat his possible death as a non-issue.
If then, the show is realistic and aiming to portray queer experiences as such, does this mean that byler can’t happen because that would be unrealistic?
Well, I think that people might he conflating “realism” with “pessimism.” I think if the show wanted to have an ending with a pessimistic outlook, then I could see byler not happening. Yes, there are plenty of gay people who died during the 80’s. But there also plenty of gay people who got in relationships and lived too. What people consider realistic may also be influenced by the type of media they have consumed in the past as well. “Well, gay people usually die/end up alone, so that must be what the realistic outcome is.”
So, with all that being said, when considering the ending of the show, it now just comes down to everything else. What is the show trying to say thematically? How has the show handled other character’s storylines in the past? How is the show being written? What kind of ending is being foreshadowed? What type of ending would best serve to fulfill the needs of the themes and storybeats, while still maintaining relatability?

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
"He's the most disgusting person I've ever met,"
Kaylee announced to her best friend seeing the boy with sun blinding hair and ice shards for eyes.
Hermione shook her head with a sigh.
"you know if you hate him all that much, why do you even pay him attention? Some might say it's suspicious." Her friend giggled, making Kaylee raise a brow.
"what is it you're implying exactly?" Kaylee asked with crossed arms.
"Nothing, nothing at all." Hermione continued to laugh unbothered by the glare on her friend's face. Unnoticed by the two girls was a group of boys sending them unpleasant looks.
The leader of the group as some would call him was flipping his wand in deep thought.
What was so funny? He Wondered.
"Draco, if you keep glaring you'll get frown lines," his minion said, snapping him out of his gaze.
"And how would you know that crabbe?" He questioned, knowing the boy was dumb and didn't have a thought in mind.
"That's what my mum says!" He told Draco confidently but the blonde did not share his pride.
"Oh, so I suppose I should believe her right? Hm?" He said sarcastically, making Crabbe wonder himself why he had believed his mother's words.
Draco left his friends or whatever you'd call people who stood around nodding in agreement with everything you said. He decided he needed to pay the girls a visit so he swayed over like his robes were too heavy, a smirk on his face noticing how quickly the girls looked unhappy with his presence.
"Hello Kaylee, see you're over here enjoying yourselves. Thought I'd come see what was so entertaining," he grinned, leaning onto the table.
Kaylee frowned before saying "nothing you'd understand with how empty your head is."
Draco's smile dropped as quickly as it came.
"Well if you find it funny with your low lifestyle I probably won't sense some of us can afford actual entertainment," he recovered, shoving Hermione's books into her glass sending orange juice across her studies. A gasp left the brunette as she and Kaylee scurried to grab and save the work.
Malfoy left proud of the trouble he caused, laughing as he sat back down.
He knew deep down that ruining Hermione and her friends' lives wouldn't satisfy him but it kept everything on the surface neat and pretty for the outlookers and that was what mattered most…to his father and his father was who he needed to please.
Kaylee didn't care for Draco and his problems. She was so upset with the boy and his decisions that caring about him made her disappointed. She wasn't sure why it mattered but she was the type of girl who needed answers and soon answers turned to caring or maybe that's what it always has been.
He didn't deserve it or did he?
That's what she couldn't figure out, for what reason was he such a-
"Bitch!" The word was out and the push to the ground came next.
Kaylee was both shocked and confused, so much so that she didn't move fast enough to avoid the blow to her side.
"You can pass the message to your friend for me, don't ever make me look like a fool in class again," the girl told Kaylee before her shoe came horrifyingly quick knocking her unconscious.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The day's were slow for Hermione as she waited for her friend to awake. She felt like she was to blame because had she been there Kaylee wouldn't have had to take her beating even if she didn't deserve it.
The day they came and attacked Kaylee Hermione had won against the girls who jumped her. Hermione was given an award and was praised for her intelligence but the girls didn't take defeat too well and took their anger out on Kaylee.
She didn't know if she'd forgive herself until her friend woke up again
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
He didn't know what he'd do if she didn't wake up again. Draco snuck in and out of the hospital determined to make things right with the sleeping girl, more than that though…
He'd confess his secrets.
He didn't know that he'd have the courage till he realized he wasn't living his life; he'd been hiding in fear of what his father would do.
Kaylee being asleep like this gave him time to admire her and tell her all the things she didn't know. With her hand in his, cold like he was, Draco couldn't help but think this was what drew him closer to her. She wasn't anything like him, warm where he was cold, soft where he was solid.
He let tears fall and his thoughts slip as he squeezed her hand in hopes that she could feel him there and wake like in a fairytale but he knew nothing about their relationship was loving…at least not in ways she could tell.
He could trace his everyday steps and see where she appeared on his track. He bothered her because it was the only way it would appeal to others and fill the hole in his heart where she belonged.
What was others happiness if he didn't have his though. if he didn't have her.
He could feel the dried tears on his face and it irked him but he left it because he'd cry again, even as he pressed his head to her chest hearing her heartbeat.
Does yours beat for me, like mine beats for yours?
You're the reason, you're the reason I try. why I wake at night still willing to fight; Because I love you tomorrow and any time I think of ending my life.
He presses his lips to hers. He wasn't expecting her to pull him close or even kiss him back but she did.
Kaylee's arms wrapped around his neck, lips interlocking with him in a crushing kiss full of rage and Desire.
I still hate you but I also love you.
I'm angry I don't know why I do, but I can't stop myself from wanting you…
When the kiss broke they breathed heavily, not sure what to do with all the pent up emotions.
"I hate you, so much" she exhaled and he nodded.
"I know, I love you too"

hey there! I was wondering if you have any contemporary Marxist/even just leftist book recommendations for an annoying professor dad? he’s conscious of the, uh, enormous human suffering all around him, but unable to imagine anything outside capitalism. I am unfortunately not as academically educated as he is, and the more basic stuff I read isn’t impressive to him.
anyway I know you can’t magically fix my shitty dad, but any book recommendations you’ve got would be greatly appreciated. And thanks so much for all of the excellent Posting, I’ve learned a lot from you.
Academic doomers are the fucking worst! They read the material and concede the basic fact that this current system is rotten but turn that into a wholly negative outlook, refusing to imagine anything beyond it by painting all left wing politics and movements as uniformly “unrealistic.” It is pure cowardice. They are perhaps my least favourite kind of liberal, someone who mistakes their own (ivory tower, western) cynicism for pragmatism. They often tout the more ‘progressive’ version of “liberal in your twenties, conservative in your forties” to students, assuring any young person who makes demands for a better world that their pie-in-the-sky thinking will be beaten out of them one day. I have found historic accounts of past revolutions to be the most helpful for my own politics. Knowing about communist history keeps me from despair. Communism is not untested, it is not abstract, it exists in this world and it continues to exist despite the endless tide of imperial violence of capitalist countries trying to wipe it off the face of this earth. The conclusions the proletariat & all oppressed peoples continue to arrive at about their own exploitation cannot be destroyed, only delayed, and only for so long.
I would recommend reading up on a couple different revolutions - the Haitian, Cuban, and Russian Revolution. These are all proletarian revolutions, meaning they are worker revolutions (in contrast to the American or French revs, which were bourgeois, meaning property owners revolted against their own aristocratic/monarchical system for economic independence). For the Haitian Rev I would recommend the book black jacobins, and for the Russian rev I recommend the Russian Revolution by Walter Rodney. I don’t have any book recs for the Cuban Rev right now sorry! It’s on my to-do list of shit to read up on. Additionally, The Jakarta Method by Vincent Bevins outlines the anti-communist violence the US conducted around the world during the Cold War - I find this history useful to know as it helps counter the claim that communism “works only in theory but not in practice” or is “outright unrealistic,” as all communist programmes have been subjected to incredible amounts of violence and political & economic & social suppression by western countries in general and the US in specific. They have never been allowed to grow and learn on their own merits. finally, this isn’t a reading but a general recommendation, the podcast blowback is very good, it outlines the imperial history of the United States (a central pillar of that imperialist violence being anti-communist programmes). They cite history books and specific scholars in the podcast if you want to read more on specific events (their second season is about the Cuban Revolution!). I find it to be accessible, meaning they don’t use jargon, although the subject matter can be pretty horrific at times.
anyway I don’t know if any of that will help, I personally am skeptical of being able to save those types of people (ie people who have access to more critical scholarship than virtually anyone else on the planet but refuse to take it seriously - education is not a cure-all and the class interests of professors do a lot of work to inoculate them against left wing views), but who knows!
