I know we hate studio bones for the many changes they've made to bungou stray dogs story, but my biggest gripe is not actually about the main manga. It's the light novels.

They just interjected them into the story, in a way that bugged me. I don't know, I read the light novels after I finished the Guild Arc, and that felt better than how they were given to me in the anime.

We all know that Dazai Osamu's Entrance Exam was not adapted correctly, and I agree. However, no one ever talks about The Dark Era?

We lost Oda chasing after the van that's taking away his kids. We lost Oda thinking that he just might be able to save his kids. We lose Oda doing everything the get them back, even destroying cars to save them. We lose Oda questioning how they were even found since they were moved to a secret bunker. We lose Mori purposefully manipulating the situation so he knows exactly where Oda's kids are so he can send Mimic their location.

It's one of my favourite scenes in the light novel. And in the anime it's gone. That scene shows Oda's fighting spirit, followed by the moment it's taken away. And it was taken away from us.

I loved that scene. Oda loved his kids.

His kids were taken away from him. And his fight was taken away from us.

no because why did they remove any and all mention of ranpo’s parents in untold origins? The reason why he was so steadfast in that believing the world was full of monsters because he thought everyone could see what he saw was because it was his parents who told him that he wasn’t special. They wanted to raise him not thinking he was better than everyone else so that he’d grow up normally and they’d tell him the truth eventually but then that all ended when they died and he was left alone. He didn’t want to think his parents who loved him lied to him all his life, so that’s why he hated the world for not doing anything about what he saw. That’s WHY it was so important for fukuzawa to give him the answer that his parents weren’t wrong, that he had a special ability that awoke when they died so that’s why the world seemed like it was full of monsters.

Publisher Untold Tales and developer Wildboy Studios will release story-driven adventure / puzzle / rhythm game ATONE: Heart of the Elder Tree for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam on January 27, 2023, the companies announced.

ATONE: Heart of the Elder Tree first launched for Apple Arcade on September 19, 2019.

The Gods have abandoned Midgard. Once a prosperous land teeming with mythical beasts and beings, it now rots from the inside, tainted by unknown forces. Odin’s chosen guardians of the realm are gone. Key Features

Puzzles – Along the way, players must solve incrementally challenging puzzles that reveal insightful secrets, fantastical abilities, and hidden passageways. While trial and error is useful, patience is necessary. Not every problem allows for multiple mistakes and failure is most certainly an option. The answers you seek may be lost if you make the wrong decision.

Combat – Violence isn’t always necessary, but, when push comes to shove, ATONE: Heart of the Elder Tree‘s combat is a delicate dance of sword and axe. Combat is grounded in the rhythm game genre and the mechanics of titles like Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution. Music is a crucial component, with each fight receiving its very own song.

Music – ATONE: Heart of the Elder Tree‘s music and sound design are composed by Australian artist, Luminist (a.k.a. James Shuar), who blends a synth-heavy score with the digitally corrupted sounds of period-specific instruments.

Interactive Story – Estra’s path is fraught with difficult decisions and untrustworthy characters that can lead her astray. Her story is intertwined with the player’s ability to discern fact from fiction and to decide right from wrong. Avoid battle, help companions, save your people, but remember that the consequences are Estra’s to bear.
