aksel's guide to relaxing media
A lot of people have asked me to compile a list of my go-to depressing/dooming media, but I feel it would be irresponsible to give you that without an antidote.
Maybe this will be of help to you on an anxious night and instead of smoking a cigarette you'll turn to this or maybe its a nice cozy afternoon and you need something to maintain that feeling.. either way here's stuff that I consume on those days:
Film/TV
youtube
Joe Pera Talks You to Sleep
This is something I have recommended to most of my friends at this point and if you ever give me the opportunity I'll probably talk your ear off about this man. I have a very special affinity towards this video, as it randomly found me on a particularly stressful quarantine night and boy am I glad it did.
I'm not gonna talk about it too much further, but if you're feeling a little bit lost or anxious, even after my 250 watches of this, I end up feeling a little bit better. If you like it make sure to check out his show, Joe Pera Talks With You on hbomax as it's one of my favourite shows ever!! The episodes are short and easy to digest :)
Tumblr media
How to With John Wilson
It's hard for me to exactly describe this show, it's just one of those things you have to see for yourself to fully understand the appeal of it. For the most part, this show uses street footage of New York City and interviews with average everyday New Yorkers to convey some kind of narrative, usually disguised as a tutorial(hence the "how to"). There's a lot of absurdity, laughter and sometimes it plays with your emotions a bit, but sometimes it's nice to just unwind and learn about the insane industry of scaffolding in NYC.
youtube
Come and Visit Us Again
Okay, so this is probably one of the most niche things here.. Considering that it has 205 views as of me writing this and it's in estonian with no captions available.(Maybe someday I'll translate it)
As far as I can tell, it is a documentary short made by Liis Nimik, who at the time was a film school student. It follows the day-to-day of a village grocery store cashier and her interactions with the people who visit her store everyday.
Moms, dads, scary little kids and village bums.. It has it all and serves as this kind of a sweet time capsule of one particular week in this one Estonian village. I will admit this is probably extra comforting for me as I grew up near a village similar to this that also had a store just like this one. In a small village, the people who work at the local grocery store really become apart of your everyday life and I loved to see it captured like this.
I feel like even if you don't understand Estonian, it's nice background noise.
Tumblr media
Malcom in the Middle
Need I say more?
Youtube
If you know me, you know I'm a fiend for comforting youtube personalities. Here are some of my favorites:
youtube
Steve Wallis
Even if you aren't particularly interested in camping, you'll still probably enjoy these videos. Steve is probably one of the sweetest dudes I've found on YouTube and he really knows how to keep a conversation. All in all, just nice to throw on if you just wanna disconnect for 30 minutes
youtube
Shirley Curry
I've loved Shirley's stuff for years now. She calls her viewers her grandkids and posts vlogs & let's plays. I think that covers the gist of it.
youtube
Featureman a.k.a. Tom Willett
This is an older gentleman, who for the most part shows you different meals that he makes & tells you stories about his time as an actor in the 1980s. Every video feels like you're visiting your grandpa.
youtube
GIFGAS
I found them quite recently, but they're quickly turning into my favourite Youtube channel. Videos of trainhopping, which are so well shot and the music choices are soooooo gooooood. Every travel vlog should have a mandatory requirement of at least (1) shoegaze song.
youtube
Roger Hance
Found this guy randomly on my recommended and him only having 4k subs feels like a crime. He's a bird photographer, who vlogs his outings and talks about all the little birds he sees. super cute.
Music
Below are a couple of playlists and tracks I recommend for this occasion:
Mixture of ambient tracks and just relaxing instrumentals. There's no vocals. During the summer, I would always listen to this if I was sitting in a park or doodling.
This is just some of my favourite ambient tracks. If you've never really listened to ambient music before, check this out I guarantee you'll like it.
I have fallen asleep to this so many times that sometimes i just constantly hear it in the back of my head. Maybe thats not a comforting thought but it helps me sleep so that's a price I am willing to pay.
That's about it though.. I didn't include everything, because this is already pretty long and I have to keep some things secret, but I hope you find use in some of this. bye

🌺 - I am 18+ years old, however, this blog is SFW 💖 🌺 - Please keep in mind though, I can still choose to post things that might be mildly more mature. That will be very rare though, rest assured, but for anything that might be too sensitive/suggestive, I will tag accordingly! 🌺 - (And on that note, if anything else just rubs you the wrong way or makes you feel uncomfortable, it's okay to suddenly block/unfollow I will not take it personally. Please prioritize your health/safety/comfort!)
━━━━━━✦
🌺 - This is entirely a TWST blog (with a clear fixation on Jamil Viper for the most part afhdsljf though I do still love the rest of the game!) 🌺 - I may have occasional fandom crossover when i feel like it! 🌺 - I just do art here and there + the very rare fics and oc ramblings. And also just yelling about TWST in general.
━━━━━━✦
🌺 - I am mainly based on EN because that's what I play, but I also catch up with JP stuff. So my knowledge and preferences about TWST are very mix-and-match. 🌺 - This blog is not spoiler-free. And I tend to post things as soon as they come out whether they're in EN or JP. 🌺 - I will still tag JP content with #twst jp / #twst jp spoilers, so please filter those out if you do not want to see those posts! 🌺 - I also don't care about being spoiled in general unless I explicitly state so.
━━━━━━✦
🌺 - This is an OC x canon blog too!! 🌺 - I don't mind others who ship their ocs/mcs/yuus with the same canon characters as me! I genuinely enjoy seeing them actually!! 🌺 - (But if sharing is not your thing, I completely understand that as well, so feel free to block accordingly 🫶) 🌺 - The previous points go for canon x canon characters as well! I'm just a multishipper at heart.
━━━━━━✦
🌺 - Tagging me and spam is absolutely fine!! 🌺 - I read all reblogs and replies even if I don't respond to all of them! 🌺 - I also appreciate even you silent lurkers, likers, and rebloggers. You are all hella valid too 🫶 🌺 - Also also, I can be incredibly slow at responding (and sometimes I forget or just miss notifs), so please forgive me on that 🙏 (if it's important, I don't mind nudges if I haven't got to it in a while!)

Here are some things about chatting with in general! Also, please don't be discouraged by this looking long. I swear I'm very lenient, I enjoy talking to y'all :,3
━━━━━━✦
💌: Asks are always open! Feel free to send anything my way! (anon is always available if you prefer!) 💌: I welcome thoughts, questions, ideas, etc, and I'm always looking to chat or just gush about TWST! (I'm also okay with things that aren't TWST-related like just silly random asks :3) (<- sometimes I may randomly turn it TWST-related though if I can) 💌: (Requests/suggestions can be selective as my motivation has been varying lately ;;;) 💌: AND!!! If I haven't got to your ask yet, don't worry I'm not ignoring them! I'm usually taking time to give it the response it deserves (especially if I plan to draw for it!) so I apologize if sometimes it takes a long while. (You'll know if I decide not to answer!!) 💌: (And if I ever say I've answered all asks and you think I haven't gotten to yours, I might not have gotten the ask in the first place because tumblr may have ate it 😔 and if so, please feel free to resend!)

My goals for this blog in 2024
'Tis the season of overanalyzing everything about your life! So naturally I've been thinking a lot about the different spaces I occupy, such as this one, and decided I need to be a bit more intentional with how I spend my time online and offline. I'm trying not to overdo it though. Sometimes you also just have to exist.
Be transparent when I want attention. This makes it sound as if we're in a relationship LMAO, but honestly, a lot of the time I will pop in here with a random post, or a request for prompts, and it will be more a cry for attention than the actual need for prompts (although not always). Prompt + filling of prompt = validation and love and attention. But usually that won't be enough because I'm not always in the mood to write, or I'll write something short and not very good, and then I won't get the attention I was craving and I will get sad. Also not every fic will be a hit anyway. It's a fickle thing to base my emotions around. SO. Solution for this is to just tell you when I want attention, because that way I won't feel annoying and bad about myself afterward. Obviously this might not result in attention whatsoever, and also why is it your job to give it to me anyway, but that way I won't feel as desperate as much as I will at the very least feel authentic about my neediness. I am human. Sometimes I need things and have no idea who to turn to. I often turn to social media. It happens. I just want to be more honest about it next year. Maybe as a sort of therapy.
Kind of related. I want to be a bit more intentional with the fics I post. I've gotten better at leaving fics be if they're not working, rather than trying to finish every single project, but I want to let them take their time and not post fics just to post them if I'm not happy with them. That doesn't mean I can't post shorter, sillier fics I had fun working on even if they're not masterpieces. My enjoyment is just as important as the final product.
I'd also like to write more long, intricate fics, kind of like my Criminal Minds case fics. It's fun to challenge myself, as longer fanfic writing isn't my forte.
Figure out if I want prompts to mostly be open or not. I keep opening and closing them, mostly because I sometimes get in the opposite mood of wanting attention and get overwhelmed and don't want people to "demand" things from me (I know they're not demands, but you know how your brain sometimes gets). But I feel like the best prompts are the ones people will send really randomly because they suddenly got an idea. But maybe, if I stop making those "send me prompts!!!" type of posts I won't get overwhelmed by the amount of them. Does anyone have any input on this?
Stop thinking I need to do certain things to be a part of the community. I keep thinking that I should maybe interact with other people's fics more, or try to be a part of the community in ways I used to when I was younger, but the truth is that I'm not a fanfiction reader at this stage of my life, and rather than lamenting that I need to just accept it. Maybe that makes me a hypocrit, but I don't believe in forcing things like that. Maybe once I stop pressuring myself it will come naturally instead, but if not I need to just be okay with the fact that I'm mostly here for my own fics. Maybe that's selfish, but it's the truth. I have enough problems in my real life to create new ones for myself here.
Stop trying to restore the old blog. It's gone. I was the one to delete it, and with that a lot of followers who never returned, and everything I did on there. It's fun getting to give advice, but people don't turn to me for them like they did back in the day and that's okay. I'm not who I was back then. I don't have the same amount of time. Instead of trying to bring back traces of the old blog I just want to focus on what I want to do with this one, in the moment and in the future. This community has changed anyway. It's time I accept that. (this does not include my Throwback Project, which I will be doing as a way to honor the past rather than try to bring it back)
Do you have any goals? Did any of this make sense? Am I overanalyzing things TOO much? Let me know your thoughts if you have any!

Okay, is it just my cosy tumblr bubble or do AM and esp Alex take extra care to take the time and interact with fans rn? The amount of airport/hotel/bar etc photos cropping up atm is wild. And I mean they are usually so tight-knit, but with fans they seem to be quite open and sweet and patient.
What do you think? Esp compared to other artists?
Hmm, I feel like Alex (and the rest of th guys too) has always been quite gracious with his time when it comes to fans. Always trying to go sign stuff and talk to people and willing to pose for photos and stuff. And there are many accounts of people who say he is so nice and down to earth, and people who end up kinda randomly chatting to him when they meet him.
I suppose we had a bit of an influx of pics from airport/sightings in the wild when they were in South America (and tour in general), and I guess fans were super excited to see them, and for them to be in South America after so long. So many fans were seeking them out more, finding their hotels and where they went out to dinner, so that's why we have more of those type of pics. But also a lot of fans running into them in bars, and the whole band have seemed so happy to take a pic and chat for a bit, but I feel like they've always been like that.
They've always treated their fans well in that regard, at least I haven't heard anyone say otherwise. They treasure their fans, and they're very grateful, it seems to me.
Compared to other artists, I don't know for sure. There aren't that many other artists I follow to the same degree. Maybe someone who does can pitch in?
But I think they do a great job of balancing when they want to be seen and when they don't, and they usually manage to avoid the public eye when they don't want to be seen. I mean, there aren't many artists with the same degree of fame who can go a whole year without being seen or having their pic taken somewhere. We legit didn't see Alex for an entire year. Like, who else does that?
But now they're touring and they want to go out and connect with fans and people have an easier time knowing how to find them.

How far do go with divergencies when it comes to your canon muse? How do you create an OC? What are your steps for developing an OC? What are things you wish people would tag so you can block it? What are the trends when it comes to writing that you adore?
Questions for the mun.
How far do go with divergencies when it comes to your canon muse?
Answer from Mun: Most of the time I try my best to stay faithful to how the cannon characters are depicted in the source material (especially personality wise), so I'd say divergencies are usually minimal. But sometimes I am willing to make compromises and change bits and pieces if it's useful to the plot of the RP. This usually occurs when writing AUs.
How do you create an OC? What are your steps for developing an OC?
Answer from Mun: Okay, this one might actually be a little bit tricky to answer, but I'll try my best. I don't really have a specific process when it comes to creating an OC and most often than not, the Muses end up writing themselves, if that makes any sense? I usually create OCs for fanfictions and/or original stories and they either pop up born from a specific key concept for the story, or they are born based on the relationship and purpose they are going to serve to the main character of the story.
For example, my first AiB OC (her name is Misaki) was born out of the necessity of having a support character to the lead of my fanfiction, who was going to be Chishiya. I knew I wanted to have the action centered around Chishiya and that I wanted to showcase his personality and development through his actions, but I also needed a sidekick for him, someone to be a constant throughout his journey that would act as a catalyst for the changes in his development, someone who would help highlight those changes. And that's when Misaki was born, her idea popped up randomly in my head one day, maybe either because of the music I was listening to or because of some plot ideas I was browsing, but either way, she just appeared in my mind. And this is what I mean by the characters writing themselves, the ideas just started flowing one after another and without even planning it, before I knew it, I'd actually created like the perfect complement to Chishiaya's personality, the Yang to his Yin (even Misaki's appearance ended up being, ironically, the complement to Chishiya: black hair and blue eyes, while he has bright blonde hair and very dark brown, almost black, eyes).
As for the names of the characters, they are always carefully chosen to bear significance to the characters themselves. They hide secrets or hints to their destinies or where they came from, or act as a mirror for who they are.
And sometimes an OC can also pop up spontaneously, without me even planning on writing a new character. Like how Kukki came to be. I never actually planned on creating her, but one day, out of boredom I started interacting with a Niragi RP blog and from one random anon interaction to another, Kukki just simply started shaping herself, materializing as a new character until the interactions turned into an actual story with a cohesive narrative.
What are things you wish people would tag so you can block it?
Answer from Mun: I personally don't really block tags, but something I wish some people would do is tagging triggering topics with a trigger warning. And for the love of God, please put ANY mature content under a mature content label, because it's really awkward scrolling through your dash all chill and calm, minding your own business and suddenly being hit face first by an unwanted porn post someone reblogged for whatever reason (especially when in a public place, surrounded by other people).
What are the trends when it comes to writing that you adore?
Answer from Mun: I don't really follow writing trends, so I don't have a concrete answer to give here.

Loser=Lover
Tumblr media
Pairing: Gryffindor!Beomgyu x Hufflepuff!reader
Words: 2.9k
Warnings/rating: SFW, Hogwarts!AU, Friends/Annoyances to Lovers, Beomgyu is both chaotic and soft, breaking and entering occurs, reader is clumsy, Beomgyu is the Gryffindor Quidditch captain, brief appearance by Slytherin!Yeonjun, reader previously had a humongous crush on Ravenclaw!Taehyun (so that's fun), brief mention of Hufflepuff!Kai, I swear I also love Soobin but he didn't make his way into this fic (whoops)
Author's Note: This takes place in the same universe as my story Chameleon Boy, just several years later after the BTS crew has graduated. Loosely loosely based on Loser=Lover, in the sense that these two didn't get along but Beomgyu always wanted to impress her/liked her. Feedback is always welcome...enjoy!
-------------------------
“Good game, Violet.” Gryffindor’s shaggy black haired Keeper bumps shoulders with you, a smirk turning the corners of his mouth.
Still euphoric over the unexpected win your team had pulled over Gryffindor, you turn, eyebrows knit in confusion.
He reaches behind you and gently tugs on your ponytail, making you realize...oh. He’s talking about your hair. Freshly dyed purple at the ends, just to change things up for your 6th year. Wait, why does he think it’s okay to tug on your hair?!
“What is this, grade school? Leave my hair alone! And my name’s not Violet,” you huff, swatting his hand away.
He shrugs, the smirk still lingering on his face. “I know. You’ve got a lot of bite for a Hufflepuff, you know? I thought you were supposed to be kind or something…”
“I am kind. To people who don’t pull my hair.”
“Oh, lighten up, Vi. You’re clearly the MVP of the game, go celebrate with your friends. I’ll see you in class.” He bumps shoulders with you again, saluting you as he walks off to join his Gryffindor teammates.
Choi Beomgyu. Star Keeper for Gryffindor, team captain. Potions mastermind (to the chagrin of Slytherin house, which you had to admit you enjoyed). Prankster extraordinaire, second only to the legendary Fred and George Weasley.
You knew each other through Quidditch, though not very well. Usually you’d be the one telling him good game, as Gryffindor blew through the competition on the way to the Quidditch Cup. You supposed it was nice that he came over and told you good game...it was a good game. You’d made several spectacular saves that had cleared the way for Kai, Hufflepuff’s Seeker, to catch the Snitch early in the game.
But that didn’t explain why he felt the need to give you a nickname and pull on your hair. He was cute, and could get away with a lot, but this was too much. If he tried to say something else in class, you’d give him a piece of your mind.
-----------------------------------------
“Your Pygmy Puff matches you...maybe I should call you Puff instead of Violet, huh? Since you’re in Hufflepuff too and all.” Beomgyu sidles up to you, peering over your shoulder at the purple creature cupped in your hands. You can feel your eye twitching as you turn to glare at him.
“Do not call me Puff,” you hiss under your breath, quiet enough so you won’t draw your professor’s attention.
“Violet it is, then!” His eyes sparkle with laughter, and he’s clearly working very hard to contain himself from bursting with glee.
You let out a loud hmph, and turn away from the boy next to you. This does nothing to deter him, as he simply follows you so you’re making eye contact again.
“What do you want, Beomgyu? Is there a specific reason you’ve chosen to torment me, or did you just randomly choose someone when you rolled out of bed this morning?” You nod towards his mop of hair that is messier than usual. He hurriedly runs his hands through his hair, which does nothing except make it worse. You can’t help but laugh, which makes his own grin grow wider.
“Can’t I just spend time with my favorite Hufflepuff Keeper? C’mon, don’t be mean, Violet…”
You scoff. “We barely know each other, Choi. Quidditch is the only time we ever interact.” He rolls his eyes at your statement.
“I know that, that’s why I said you’re my favorite Hufflepuff Keeper, not my favorite Hufflepuff. You’ve got to work to earn that title.” He winks obnoxiously at you.
“Don’t get too cocky, you’re no Kill ‘Em Kim,” you reply, referencing Gryffindor’s captain that graduated two years prior.
“You think you’re so smart, but guess what? I know that too, Vi…I've got my own charms, I don’t need to copy Seokjin.”
“And what are those? Your hyena laugh and your need to piss off every Slytherin with your pranks?”
“So I am charming to you, then. Good to know,” Beomgyu cackles (like a hyena, as you pointed out). “Speaking of those pranks you mentioned, it’s been a while...wanna help me with my next one? Come with me to Hogsmeade and we’ll go to Zonko’s. I’ll show you just how smart I really am.”
You narrow your eyes at him. “Why are you so interested in hanging out with me?”
“I’m interested, because you’re interesting, get with the program. You dyed your hair, you must have known it would draw attention to you. So here I am, drawn in by the siren call of your purple strands. Don’t leave me to crash on the rocks, Violet...I’m just asking to go to Hogsmeade.”
There’s several beats of silence as you stare at Beomgyu. He doesn’t get uncomfortable, doesn’t look away. He just holds eye contact with you as if you’ve known each other for years.
“...fine.”
He whoops with delight, drawing an irritated stare from your professor. Beomgyu at least has the sense to duck his head at this, suddenly very interested in the Pygmy Puff in your hands, pink dusting his cheeks.
You can’t help the smile that fights its way onto your face at his reaction, and he catches it, looking awfully pleased with himself.
What had you gotten yourself into?
-----------------------------------------
A few days later, you’re trudging up the path to Hogsmeade with Beomgyu by your side. The two of you are trailing behind your best friend Evelyn and her nemesis-turned-possible-love-interest, Yeonjun.
“Five galleons on them dating by Christmas,” Beomgyu suddenly whispers in your ear, the sensation sending visible shivers down your spine. “Are you okay? Here, take this, I didn’t think it would be that cold today.” You suddenly are enveloped by a gold and maroon striped cardigan, the boy walking alongside you giving you a lopsided grin as he sees you relax into its warmth.
“...thanks,” you mutter quickly, too embarrassed to tell him you’re not shivering from the cold. You look ahead to see Yeonjun elbowing your friend in the side while laughing aloud. “I think you’re right about those two...she always acts like he annoys her, but I think she secretly enjoys the attention,” you gently poke fun at your friend.
“Junnie’s a good guy. Annoying sometimes, but he can’t help it, he’s a Slytherin.” You raise your eyebrows in surprise.
“How do you know Yeonjun? This is my first time meeting him in person, even though she talks about him all the time.”
Beomgyu leans in conspiratorially. “Well, funny you should ask, Violet...Yeonjun was the victim of my very first Hogwarts prank. It wasn’t as good as the ones I do now, but I did manage to turn his eyebrows pink.”
Your eyes widen in surprise. “Your first prank was on a Slytherin who’s older than you?”
“What can I say, I live life dangerously.” His eyes sparkle with laughter as his hand brushes yours as you walk side by side. Before you can reply, he’s grabbed your hand and is dragging you forward, breaking into a run as Hogsmeade comes into view.
“See ya later, losers!” He cackles as the two of you sprint past Yeonjun and Evelyn, heading straight for the entrance of Zonko’s.
--------------------------------
An hour later, the two of you emerge from Zonko’s surprisingly empty-handed. You had convinced Beomgyu that pranking the entire Ravenclaw Quidditch team was, in fact, a bad idea. He had whined at you continuously for being ‘too serious’ and ‘mean’, but you had stood your ground, promising to buy him a Butterbeer for his troubles.
“You just don’t want me pranking Taehyun...don’t think I don’t notice the way you look at him.” Beomgyu glares at you, bottom lip jutting into a pout.
You match his glare even while you feel the heat emanating from your cheeks. “I had a crush on Taehyun when I was like, 14!” you sputter.
“You didn’t even go with him to the Yule Ball that year, can’t have been that significant,” he shrugs.
The heat on your cheeks is now spreading through the rest of your body. “If you must know, I didn’t go with anyone to the Yule Ball because no one asked me.”
Beomgyu’s glare softens as he glances over at you, rubbing the back of his neck. “I would’ve asked you if I’d known you back then.”
“No, you wouldn’t have. We were both on our respective Quidditch teams by then, and you knew me. You went with that French girl, the 6th year? Beauxbatons champion?” you scoff.
“But I didn’t really know you...I just kind of knew of you. We hadn’t had a class together or anything…” he trails off quietly.
You can’t stop the snort of derision that comes flying out of your mouth. “Gyu, stop. I don’t need your pity, or anything else...now that you know me, would you really ask me to anything like the Yule Ball?”
“...yes?” Beomgyu’s eyes widen as he raises an eyebrow.
“Tell me why.”
“You’re cool, good at Quidditch, smart, way smarter than me. Funny. And you’re pretty, obviously.” He ticks off each adjective on his fingers, no trace of humor on his face.
You narrow your eyes, and he holds his hands up in surrender.
“What?! I’m just telling the truth!” he exclaims.
“...you are, aren’t you? You just...say what you think, all the time.” You stare in disbelief at the boy in front of you.
“Yeah? Why would I not? Sure, some people think I’m stupid, or brash, or whatever else. But the people who are important know me for who I really am. People like you.” Beomgyu elbows you playfully before locking hands with you, dragging you to the opposite end of Hogsmeade.
You’d deny it to anyone who asked, but you can’t help your stomach doing a flip as he intertwines his fingers with yours, a grin working its way onto your face.
--------------------------------------
Your grin leaves your face as you stumble into Beomgyu, who has suddenly stopped in front of a large, derelict house. The air feels stale around you, and the hustle and bustle of the village has been left behind.
“W-what is this place?” you squeak out.
“The Shrieking Shack...it’s supposed to be haunted. Voldemort used it as headquarters during The Battle of Hogwarts, and it’s where Severus Snape was killed,” Beomgyu breathes reverently.
Your hand is on Beomgyu’s arm in a vice grip, your knuckles turning white. “So why are we here?”
“We’re going inside, I wanna see what it’s like. It’s gotta be so cool!” The shaggy haired boy beside you looks genuinely excited, no trace of nerves. He walks toward a boarded up window, you following closely behind. He starts poking around the edges of the window, pulling gently at the boards at first, then with more force. Suddenly, there’s a large crack as one of the boards splinters in half, leaving a small opening behind.
“After you, Violet,” Beomgyu smiles at you, his hands cupped together to give you a boost up to crawl through. You swallow thickly before stepping into his grip, grabbing onto the opening and squeezing your way through, tumbling onto a dusty landing. You cough as the dust settles around you, Beomgyu calling up to you to make sure you’re okay.
“I’m fine...it’s just dusty!” you call back, scrambling to your feet. All of a sudden, there’s a loud noise from outside...as you try to peer out of the opening you just came through, you find yourself nose to nose with Beomgyu, whose head is hanging through the hole in the window.
“I took a running start, jumped and climbed up,” he huffs, his breath fanning out over your face from how close he is. You back away hastily, but stay close enough to offer him your hand to help him through the hole that’s too small for his lanky body. He shoves his hand into yours, and you pull while he attempts to leverage his long legs to his advantage. It feels like you’re playing tug of war with each other for a few minutes, until you’re falling backwards onto the floor in a mess of limbs.
Beomgyu’s long hair is falling into your eyes, he’s elbowing you in the side and your legs are awkwardly tangled together. As he pulls himself up onto his elbows, you find yourself gazing up into his eyes. The two of you freeze momentarily, not speaking and just staring at each other. Suddenly, he unfreezes himself, only to land a quick kiss on your cheek. He then offers you his hand as he scrambles off the floor, which you take, only to crash into his chest as he pulls you up. He grabs your arms to steady you, catching your gaze once again. Have his eyes always been this pretty?
A laugh makes its way past your lips, which leads Beomgyu to let out his signature cackle as well. “Let’s explore!” he exclaims, barreling off towards the staircase to the second floor. You follow closely behind, staircase creaking under your combined weight. The two of you peer through each doorway, nothing particular of note to see. Lots of dusty furniture, boarded up windows with streams of sunlight fighting their way through, and a general eerie vibe throughout the house. Deciding there’s nothing of note, Beomgyu begins to descend the stairs with you trailing behind. Just as you’re about to reach the bottom, your foot falls through a step, the rotted wood giving out underneath you. You windmill your arms, trying to keep your balance but to no avail. You fall headlong into Beomgyu’s waiting arms in what feels like slow motion. He had turned when the step broke, and prepared himself for the inevitable disaster that was to follow.
You look up at him, his arms tucked underneath yours, hoisting you back onto your feet. “You’re really falling for me today, aren’t you, Vi?” he smirks, helping you dust yourself off.
“You wish,” you snap, embarrassed in more than one way.
“Maybe I do.” He shrugs, giving you a smirk before heading towards the front door. “But right now, I think you owe me a Butterbeer?”
----------------------------------------
You stride over to your table, two mugs of frothy Butterbeer in tow. You slide one over to Beomgyu, who’s sitting across from you. He raises the glass towards you and then takes a large gulp. As he places it down on the table again, he’s left with a mustache made of foam.
You laugh at how goofy he looks, shaking your head at him. He raises an eyebrow questioningly at you, and in reply you lean over the table, swiping your thumb slowly over his upper lip, removing the offending foam. His eyes go wide, looking more shocked the longer your hand stays touching his face. As you go to sit back down, he catches your hand in his and holds it across the table. It’s your turn for your eyes to go wide.
“What are you doing?” you murmur.
Expecting a brash, confident answer, you’re shocked when the boy across from you matches your tone-quiet, unsure, and nervous.
“...I just wanted to hold your hand.” Beomgyu looks up at you shyly through his shaggy hair, a small smile gracing his features. You give his hand a small squeeze in reply, lifting your Butterbeer to your mouth to hide the smile threatening to take over your whole face.
--------------------------------------------
The two of you spend the rest of the afternoon hand in hand, exploring the shops in Hogsmeade. You make sure to steer clear of the Shrieking Shack, and any of the other old, possibly haunted buildings in town.
As the sun starts setting, you begin the journey back to Hogwarts, one hand filled with bags of candy from Honeydukes, the other intertwined with Beomgyu’s. Just as the castle is coming into view, you suddenly trip over a tree root in the path, losing your balance. Your bags go flying to the ground, your grip on Beomgyu lost as you flail helplessly, trying to keep yourself upright-but to no avail. The ground is swiftly approaching, and just as you squeeze your eyes shut...you stop.
You carefully open your eyes, and see the path several inches from your face. Turning your head, you see that Beomgyu has also dropped his bags, and both his arms are wrapped around your midsection, keeping you from hitting the ground. He gently squeezes you as he pulls you upright, concern etched across his face.
“Violet, are you okay?” He looks you over, checking for any injuries.
You can’t help the grin this time, and there’s no Butterbeer to hide behind. Before you can think too hard about it, you push upwards on your tiptoes and land a quick kiss on Beomgyu’s lips. You can feel your cheeks flaming, but you can’t seem to bring yourself to care too much.
“Just falling for you, Gyu. That’s all.”
Your reply paired with the kiss leaves a dopey smile on the boy in front of you’s face. He recovers after a few minutes of shock, leaning in close to you and surprising you with another kiss. This one’s a little longer, his mouth molding to yours and applying insistent pressure that leaves you slightly lightheaded. As Beomgyu leans back, he gives you a smirk matched with one of his signature cackling laughs.
“I knew it.”

part two
——————————————————————————
most things rafe wanted, he easily got. it was a known fact. his parents were financially stable so they could afford to throw money down the drain for useless items that wouldn’t be used more than once. his popularity and name allowed him to get away with most things. except you. you seemed to not care about his wealth or his looks. you didn’t even care to give him the time of day. he took this as a challenge. he was destined to get you to like him if it was the last thing he did.
the first time he talked to you was during school. he thought his charm and popularity would make you swoon. instead, it was quite the opposite. he approached you at your locker, his smile bright. “hey. i’m rafe.” he extended his hand out to you. “hello, rafe.” you shake his hand back, before retreating your hand to your side. you stare at him in confusion. “uhm am i in the way of your locker?” you question, he shakes his head. “oh no, actually. i just wanted to introduce myself to you.” you nod your head. “well rafe, it was nice to meet you, i guess. but i’m running late for class.” you shut your locker, speeding off to class.
rafe stayed by your locker in awe. you really thought rafe was just waiting to get to his locker? it’s halfway through the school year, if his locker was by yours, you would have known by now. he embarrassingly walked away, heading to his first class. that awkward moment was lingering in his head, stuck on replay. your facial expression that showcased confusion stayed still in his mind. by third hour he was over it, not as embarrassed. he shrugged it off, excited to try again.
rafe actually didn’t know that much about you. he saw you in the halls occasionally. his interest in you peaked when he saw that you talked to topper a lot. since you were heavily associated with topper, he believed that it would be easy to befriend you. it’s clear to him now that isn’t the case. he can’t help but feel surprised at your lack of knowledge for him. everyone knows of rafe, and you should especially know because of how well you know topper.
regardless, rafe knew what he had to do. he needed to see topper, and investigate him. rafe pulled his phone out, texting topper to meet him.
topper met rafe in the boy’s bathroom before fourth period. they scoped the bathroom, ensuring to themselves that they could openly talk since they were alone. rafe didn’t hesitate, he immediately bombarded topper with questions about you. “what’s with the sudden interest?” topper asks, confused.
“i don’t know, i keep seeing her in the hallway and she stares at me.” topper nods, “well she does good academically, i know her because her family is friends with my family, she’s on the cheerleading team, i don’t know man. what info are you wanting?” the cheerleading team. rafe smiled to himself, you are a cheerleader. “that’s good enough, i just needed some info so i could know if i want to meet her or not.” topper laughed, “alright man. i gotta go.” rafe nodded, “see you later.” topper fist bumped rafe before walking out the bathroom.
you were a cheerleader? he had no clue. it dawned on him, if he had no idea of who you were, why would you know who he was? he shook his head at the thought, instead heading to class.
on the other side of the school sat you, fidgeting with your pencil as you struggled to keep up with the current notes. the interaction you had with rafe was confusing you. why did he suddenly want to meet you? it didn’t make sense. the whole class period you tried to wrap your brain around his actions, trying to figure out what his intention was, but you fell short.
at lunch time you sat at a table, you usually sat with friends but they were absent. it didn’t help they were absent the one day someone popular randomly takes an interest in you. you sit on the chair, pulling out your math homework. if you knocked it out at lunch, you had a high chance of not having homework. you start the first problem, but immediately halt when your family friend, topper, taps on your shoulder. “hi tops.” you smile softly at him, setting your pencil down and turning your attention to him. he smiles at you, “hey.”
you pick up a goldfish, plopping it into your mouth. “how have you been?” you question topper. he shrugs, “same old same old. family is still upset with me, per usual.” you nod, soaking up what he said. “dang, that sucks. it’s so annoying how people hold grudges. they don’t know how to forgive and forget.” you shrug, smiling up at him. he returns the smile, “i know right.” you place your homework back in your bag, assuming you wouldn’t be able to finish it during lunch.
“what did you even do?” you ask him. he smiles, “uh i accidentally pissed a pogue off so they got revenge by sinking my new boat.” your eyes widened, “what! holy shit you must have fucked up bad.” he frowns, “i didn’t really want to do it, you know how tricky it is with our reputation and who we have to associate with.” you laugh, “oh i know all too well of what that’s like.” topper rolls his eyes, assuming you’re talking about him.
“hey! i’m not too bad.” you laugh, “it wasn’t about you. you aren’t bad at all.” you look up, seeing rafe take his backpack off. you glance at topper to see he is confused as well. “hey rafe, what’s up?” topper questions rafe, who had just sat down at our table. “nothing much man, saw you over here and decided to join.” you laugh sarcastically, “inviting yourself to our private party?” you question, slightly joking. rafe felt an unexpected twinge of jealousy when you grouped yourself and topper together.
“i’m just kidding rafe… kind of.” you grin, topper joining in by chuckling with you. rafe awkwardly laughs along. he pulls himself together, thinking of things to say. “are you going to the football game tomorrow?” rafe waits for your response. you smile slightly, “yeah, but i’m a cheerleader so i’ll be on field.” he nods, “oh, that’s cool.” you nod awkwardly. “yeah.” he smiles subconsciously, excited to see you in a uniform. his smile disintegrates when topper confronts him. “what are you smiling for bro?” rafe stared at him, unamused. “nothing.” topper scoffs, “alright then.”
you steal looks between rafe and topper, still confused. you don’t ask any questions, you just continue eating your food. the bell rings, indicating that lunch is over. you gather up your trash, standing up. you notice rafes eyes lingering over your body. his eyes fixating between your thick thighs, and hips. you feel self conscious under his stare, so you quickly stand up and walk to the trash can. rafe follows after you, quick on his feet. he comes up to your side, much to your dismay.
“will i see you at the game tomorrow?” you turn your head to the side, “are you going to the game?” you return. he nods, “yeah.” you smile, “then you’ll probably see me.” he grins, “okay, cool.” he quickly turns around, leaving you by yourself. you were confused still, but hey, maybe having rafe as a friend would be good.
you got through the day quickly, heading immediately home. you work on homework, chores, and finally get ready for bed. before bed you prepare your uniform. you set it out, along with a jacket so you weren’t on full display at school. you wake up the next morning, putting on your uniform, along with a bow in your hair. you head to school, slightly nervous for your possible interaction with rafe.
when you arrive at school, you don’t see rafe. you only saw topper, who was eagerly heading in your direction. he smiled, standing still in front of you. “hey, good morning!” you smile, “hi tops.” the two of you talk for a bit, him walking you to class. “can i pick you up before the game?” topper asks. “sure, it has to be a little earlier than the fans. i have warm ups and stuff i have to do before the game.” he grins, “okay! just text me tonight when you want me to pick you up.” you put your hands in your jacket pocket. “okay, thanks topper!”
he walks away, and you walk into your first hour class. you go through your classes as usual, rafe not showing up. you couldn’t tell if you were disappointed or relieved, but either way it didn’t matter, you had a game you had to prepare for. you do your make up, and touch up your hair. you chug water, and began stretching. you text topper, saying he could pick you up now, if he still wanted to drive you. his response was quick and enthusiastic.
topper pulls up to your house, his music loud, and a large smile plastered on his face. “game day!!” you laugh along, repeating his words. “game day!” you open his door, hopping inside. “let’s go!” you playfully roll your eyes at his eagerness, “to the school!” topper smirks, stepping on the gas, and speeding out your driveway.
the two of you sing along to the songs on the radio, before it abruptly ends due to you two arriving at the school. he decides to stay in his car, planning on joining right when the official game starts. you skip down the field, joining your teammates. you stretch with them, before you practice the chants and dance numbers.
at six thirty, they start allowing people in. you immediately see topper hunched over the fence, him waving frantically at you. you wave back, jogging over to him. “you ready?” he asks, you bite your lip, “i guess.” he laughs at your nerves, excited for you. you glance over and see rafe. he hadn’t seen you yet. your breath gets caught in your throat, slightly scared and self conscious to see him.
topper gives you reassuring words, and out of the corner of your eye, you notice rafe had found you. rafe slowly makes his way towards topper, keeping his cool. rafe stares at you in your cheerleading uniform. his breath gets heavy, he stares, watching you talk to topper. jealously fills his chest, of course topper was here first. rafe quickly approached the two of you, eager to break the conversation up.
“hi rafe.” you smile softly, looking up at him. he smiles, “hey. good luck today.” you fiddle with your fingers, “thank you.” rafe stays silent. you hear the coaches whistle. “i got to go, i’ll talk to you when i can!” you quickly turn around, jogging back to the cheerleading circle.
rafe watches as you jog away, hes mesmerized by how well the uniform fit. he knew you would look good, but damn. he looks over at topper, who makes eye contact with him. “what’s up rafe?” topper stares at rafe, waiting for an explanation. “she is so hot.” topper scoffs, “bro, already whipped?” rafe rolls his eyes, but grins. “for her, yeah. i’d willingly be whipped.” the two boys sit on the bench, topper watching the game, and rafe watching you.
after sitting in silence, rafe speaks up. “do you think she likes me?” topper quickly glances at rafe, trying to see if he was joking or if he was serious. when topper saw he was serious, he genuinely contemplated it. “id say maybe, i mean she doesn’t shrivel up in disgust when you are around. that’s a pretty good sign.” rafe shook his head, “that’s true. that is a good sign.”
rafe admired you, you getting his full attention. on break you rush to the fence, excited to see rafe and topper. “hey!” you look up at them, “you are doing great!” topper reached down, highfiving you. “thanks!” you look over at rafe, something took you over because he actually looked hot. you bit you lip slightly, you were going to say something, but rafe beat you to it. “you look good.” rafe smirked slightly, causing heat to rise to your face. “thank you, rafe.”
you return to the group again, your heart racing. the idea of rafe made your breath heavy. you continue to chant, and preform. you occasionally looked up rafe, his eyes always focused on you. you had a low chance of being able to go to the fence again, so you focused entirely on perfecting the choreography. the crowd was cheering loudly, your hometown winning the game.
at the final quarter, your hometown won by one point. your team jumps up and down, ecstatic. you preform a final show, before you break apart. you chug water. you rush in line with the other cheerleaders, going in a straight line to high-five the football players. you smile brightly at them, telling them congrats for winning the game. most of them returned a smile, and thanked you.
after the bleachers started to empty, you decided to meet up with topper, and possibly rafe. you look around for topper but he was gone. you turn around, accidentally bumping into rafe. “oh i’m sorry.” he stares at you, “hey, by the way topper left, said he was going on a date with a girl from the cheer team.” you frown, “oh. he was my ride.” rafe smiles, “you can ride me- i mean ride with me.” you laugh lightly at his switch up, “okay. i’ll ride you.” your heart is racing, the after game adrenaline flowing through your veins, which was causing you to be bold. he smirks at you, “okay, i’d enjoy that.” you mimic his smirk, following him to his car.
he turns around, “are you sure?” you nod, “i’m sure, are you?” he is shocked by your question, “so fucking sure.”

Green Sky Highway
Phic Phight Phic for @deuynndoodles
.
The Fenton Ecto Cell Bettery (aka the Better Battery) was designed to draw power from not only an internal, pre-charged store of ectoplasm, but also from ambient, atmospheric ectoplasm.  This meant that it would never run out of juice so long as it was in the Ghost Zone.  The Specter Speeder was designed to travel in the Ghost Zone.  Thus, the Betteries were the perfect power source for it.  In theory.
In practice… Well, that just wasn’t working out, and Maddie didn’t know why.  She gripped the underside of the dash and tried to push herself deeper beneath it to get a better view of the machinery.
“Maddie?  You see anything?” asked Jack, who couldn’t fit under the dash.  He’d been inspecting as much of the engine as he could from the inside, which wasn’t much.  The Speeder wasn’t designed to be serviced while free-floating in the Ghost Zone.
Which, now that she thought of it, was a serious oversight.
“Everything looks fine,” said Maddie.  “Except that it doesn’t have any power.  Nothing’s lighting up, but all the connections look good. You?”
“I can’t get anything to work.  Anything.  It’s like… we’re in some kind of technological dead zone.  But that doesn’t make sense.”
Maddie pulled herself out to see Jack vigorously scratching his head and shedding dandruff everywhere.  “Ghosts do tend to disrupt technology.”
“But we fixed that.  We designed all our weapons to work with that.”
“We know there are things we don’t know,” said Maddie, “and it’s always good to find new things!  Though not pleasant to find them out like this…”  They should really test their inventions more, honestly.
But it had been over a year of testing since they opened the portal.  They had to jump in at some point, didn’t they?  That was the whole point of the portal.
She sighed.  “Well, we didn’t have a lot of forward momentum when the portal cut out.”  She looked out the window.  “We could see if we can get out and engage our jetpacks.”
“Uh, about that,” said Jack.  He swung open the door to the jetpack cabinet.  The empty jetpack cabinet.  “I may have forgotten to put them back after refueling them.”
“Jack…”
“I know, I’m sorry.”
Maddie massaged the bridge of her nose with her mostly-clean knuckles.  This was a repeat of the handle inside the weapons vault.  At least he wasn’t pushing the blame for it back onto Danny or Jazz.  That would definitely have started a fight.
On the other hand, there really wasn’t any guarantee the jetpacks would even still be functional, so maybe it was for the best. For certain values of best.
She groaned.
There was a knocking sound.  “Is that coming from the engine?” Maddie asked.
“No…” said Jack, slowly.  “I think it came from the door…”
They both turned to stare.  Something moved outside it.  They shifted to get a better view out the window.
Phantom was out there, tapping on the door with a ten-foot pole.
“That little unnatural abomination,” cursed Jack under his breath.  “He’s going to scratch the paint!”
Phantom apparently saw them and waved.  “Hey!” he shouted, just loud enough to be heard through the walls of the Speeder.  “Do you guys need a lift?”
Jack and Maddie turned to each other.
“How did he know we were here?”
“I don’t know,” said Jack.  “Do you think he followed us?”
“It wouldn’t be difficult, but I’m surprised he didn’t show up on our detectors.”
“He does seem to have the ability to drop off of them.”
“True,” said Maddie.  “So, how do we handle this?  Fenton bat?”
“I don’t know, Mads.  He might be, uh, sincere?  That time with the ectofiltrator he did help me.”
“That’s one, single, datapoint.  He’s a been a menace every other time we’ve encountered him.”
“I don’t know that we have much other choice,” said Jack, nodding towards the dead engines and the empty jetpack cabinet.
Maddie huffed out a sigh, then looked back at Phantom, who waved again.
“Fine.  We still have to decide how to deal with him while we’re cooperating with him.  Or if he decides to show his true colors.”
“Good idea.”
.
Danny knew this had been a terrible, terrible idea the moment his parents opened the door to the Speeder armed to the teeth.  Why did they always feel the need to do that? None of the weapons, with the possible exceptions of the Fenton Bat and the Fenton Crowbar could even work here.
How his parents had, on their first jaunt into the Ghost Zone, managed to run smack into the Time Locked Lands was beyond him. They had to go to the one place in the Ghost Zone that the Speeder wouldn’t work and after coating the Speeder with some kind of anti-ghost spray that Danny absolutely refused to touch again.  Ever. Especially in ghost form.  Except with a ten-foot pole.
(If they’d left the spray off, he could have just pushed the Speeder back out of the Time Locked Lands.  But, no, they had to make everything as difficult and painful as possible.)
“I am not carrying all that,” said Danny, flatly.
(Especially because it would all turn back on once they left the Time Lost Lands, and if there wasn’t a Specter Deflector under all that, he’d eat his own belt.)
“Then we aren’t going anywhere with you!” proclaimed Maddie.
“You’re stranded in the middle of the Ghost Zone. I don’t think you have a choice.”
“We do!”
“I could literally just fly over there and snatch you right now.  Plus, again, stranded.  Do you even have any food in there?”
“Of course we do!” said Maddie.  “We aren’t incompetent.”
Jack looked guilty.  Danny decided not to bring it up.
“Okay, but still, you’re going to run out eventually, and then you’ll still be floating in the Ghost Zone with no way to get out.  You aren’t going to get another friendly ghost coming by.”
“I’ve never seen a friendly ghost to begin with!”
“Maddie…”
“I can just leave, you know,” said Danny, planting his hands on his hips and bluffing for all he was worth.  He was not leaving his parents here to be used as hostages or who knew what else.
Hopefully, they wouldn’t call the bluff.  They shouldn’t.  No sane, reasonable person would.  He was their only way out of this mess.  On the other hand, his parents had never been completely sane, reasonable people.
Danny thought his odds were about fifty-fifty.  Which meant he could hope.
Jack and Maddie had an intense, whispered conversation. This, thankfully, lead to them divesting themselves of most of their visible weaponry.  Which meant that they still had more guns on them than most professional soldiers during a firefight.
Well, it was better than he’d expected.  But it was still too many.
“Take the Specter Deflectors off,” he said.  “What do you think will happen if I try to carry you and you have those on.”
There was muttering.
“Come on, come on,” said Danny, snapping his fingers. Which really shouldn’t work through his gloves but did anyway.
Sometimes ghost nonsense was good for making lasers fly from your hands, and sometimes it was good for tiny aesthetic breaks in physics. It was a grab bag, really.
“Alright,” said Danny.  “I’m going to fly over and pick you up.  Don’t hit me.”
Oh, jeez, he was not looking forward to carrying them all the way over to the portal.  Sure, he could bench press a school bus, but there was a difference between holding up a school bus for a minute and carrying two people who hated his guts a mile through enemy territory while flying slowly enough not to give them windburn.
Sure, it’d probably only take a few minutes, even then, but those would be the longest few minutes in his entire life.  Not counting his actual death.
.
Being carried by Phantom had to be the single worst experience in Jack’s entire life.
It wasn’t the speed or the lack of control – he loved carnival rides – or the height – Jack couldn’t tell you how many buildings he’d jumped off in pursuit of ghosts – or even the fact that Phantom was a sinister specter, and ectoplasmic emanation, a putrid piece of protoplasm – he’d been carried by ghosts before, usually ones who were a lot more upfront about wanting to kill him.
Actually, Jack didn’t know why he didn’t like it. He just didn’t.
Maybe it was just how uncomfortable it was?  But Jack did way more uncomfortable things. Like interacting with his sister-in-law. Brr.
Maybe it was the lurking feeling behind every interaction he ever had with Phantom that there was something he just wasn’t seeing, some hidden truth that would make everything about Phantom, every contradiction, every confusion, make sense.
Nah, that couldn’t be it.  Maddie would have figured it out by now.  That’s why they made such a great team.  He noticed the things she didn’t, and she noticed the things he didn’t.
“You’re going the wrong way,” snapped Maddie.
Just like that!
Wait.  That was a really bad thing.
“I’m not going the wrong way,” snapped Phantom.  “I’m avoiding Walker’s prison.  I don’t know how he didn’t catch you on your way out, but I’m not eager to be thrown in jail for a thousand years.”
“Ghosts have jail?” asked Jack surprised.
“Depends where you are,” said Phantom.  “Walker isn’t really a sheriff, though.  There’s no government behind him and he just makes up rules randomly so he can lock up anybody he doesn’t like.”
“Like you,” observed Jack.
“Why doesn’t it surprise me that you’re even wanted by whatever passes for the law here?”
“First, rude.  Secondly, there are realms in here that are just as organized and civilized as any country on Earth.  Just because you opened your portal into the equivalent of post-apocalyptic Detroit doesn’t mean it’s all like this.”
“I’ll believe it when I see it,” said Maddie.
“I could arrange that, you know,” said Phantom, stilling.
Jack laughed nervously.  “Maybe another time?”  The ghost would do what it would do, but they didn’t need to encourage him to bring them even deeper into the Ghost Zone.  They were currently banking on Phantom’s obsession with heroics to get them home, but if they changed the equation…  Yeah, Jack didn’t want to deal with the consequences of that.
Ghosts were like computers that ran only one program. One homicidal, destructive program.
It was like that thought experiment about an AI whose job was to maximize the number of paperclips.  It’d just keep on making more and more paperclips until nothing was left.  Which was why they had to be stopped.
Easier said than done, as Jack and Maddie had learned.
“You don’t have to be so freaked out,” muttered Phantom. “It isn’t like I’m going to kidnap you or anything.”  He pretended to sigh.
What was the point of that?  He had to know that Jack and Maddie wouldn’t fall for his tricks. Actually, come to think of it, he was miming breathing, too, and had been the whole time.
Maybe that’s why Jack was so uncomfortable.  The constant undercurrent of deception.
Hmmm… something to think on.
“What’s that?” asked Maddie, pointing.
“Uh,” said Phantom, who did a double take.
Ooh, that wasn’t reassuring.
.
Danny clenched his teeth, his parents’ reactions to him weren’t reassuring, and even less reassuring was the way Pariah’s Keep had moved from its usual creepy location and to this new creepy location. Not that there were any non-creepy locations in the Ghost Zone.  It was part of the place’s charm.
No, really.  Some part of Danny craved the creepiness.  He was half-ghost, after all.
(Even if his idea of creepiness was, according to his friends, sort of lame.)
But back to the main point.  The keep really, really shouldn’t be here.  And it was creeping him out.
It should be okay to just… fly past it, though, right? Just being in its airspace in the past hadn’t done anything bad.  So, flying by with his parents in tow shouldn’t do anything either.  Right?
Danny put on more speed, just in case.  This coincided with a bunch of large ghost ravens (or were they crows?) dive bombing them and forcing him to land to defend himself and parents.  The only land around being the rim of the island that supported the keep.
He knew something like this would happen. Maybe not exactly this, but he just knew he’d be attacked and everything would devolve into nonsense, and—
Huh.  The birds weren’t attacking him, just his parents.  Oh, these were racist (mortalist?) birds.  Gross.  Trust Pariah Dark to have bigoted birds.  He called up a shield to protect his parents.  Whereupon they shot him in the back, shouting about how he betrayed them to the birds, because why not?
Why was his life like this?
He pushed himself up off the ground.  Starbursts twinkled behind his eyes.  Neither his parents nor the crows were in sight.  The crows could have gone anywhere.  His parents on the other hand…
There was only one place they could have gone.
Well.  At least none of the nonsentient traps would work on them, seeing as they were humans. What were the odds that they’d run into one of the sentient defenders?
Well… considering the ravens?
Yeah.  That’d be about one hundred percent.
.
“Maddie, I don’t know about this…” said Jack, examining the tall, vaulted ceiling.
“We had to get away from Phantom.  This was the only way to go.”
“But he came here for a reason, Mads,” whispered Jack, tip-toing.
“Yeah, this is definitely a trap.  But what can we do?”
“Jack?  Maddie? This is not a place you want to wander around in! Oh, holy—” There was a loud thump.
Maddie grabbed Jack’s hand and pulled him forward. “We have to get away from him.”
“Come on!  This is a floating island!  I’m your only way off!  Why are you like this?”
“He has a point,” said Jack.
Maddie stopped.  “I guess he does.”
“This is literally the worst place you could have picked to run away!”  A sound like a very large door opening and closing reached their ears.  “This is Pariah Dark’s place!  Where did you even go?”
“Mads?”
“Yeah?”
“Who’s Pariah Dark?”
“I think that was the name of the ghost that sucked the town into the Ghost Zone a few months ago.”
“Please, guys!  I’m trying to help you here!  This place is ultra-dangerous!  You could accidentally – yikes! – wake up Pariah Dark.”
“Maybe we should…”
“Yeah,” said Maddie, “maybe we should.”
“Phantom!” called Jack.  “Phantom!  We’re over—” The floor opened up underneath them and they fell into the dark.
.
Maddie woke to a dark room, tied to a chair.  She noticed the faintly glowing ghost in front of her and jolted backwards.
The ghost wore a set of painted and engraved plate armor, a pair of lavender-white eyes glowing from behind the slats of its visor.  A knight, of sorts, Maddie supposed.
“You…” droned the ghost in a painfully stereotypical ghostly moan.  “Enemies of the king… why have you come here?”
“Huh?”
That was Jack’s voice.  He was tied behind her, apparently.
“We don’t have anything to say to you,” snapped Maddie.
“Uh,” said Jack.  Something twisted behind Maddie.  “Are you a friend of Phantom?”
“A friend?  A friend?”
“I’m going to take that as a no,” muttered Maddie.
The door of the room flew off its hinges.  “Fright Knight!” shouted Phantom, pointing a glowing finger.  “Wait, you aren’t Fright Knight.  Who are you, and what do you want with my- With, uh, the Fenton ghost hunters?  Who I don’t know very well at all. Promise.”
“What,” said the ghost.
“What,” said Maddie.
“What,” said Jack.
“Okay, forget everything I just said.”  He gestured at the ghost.  “Who are you?”
“My name is Paladin, my liege.”
“Okay, okay, cool, cool.  I- Wait, what?  What did you call me?”
“My liege?”
Phantom looked like he was having an existential crisis.
“Maddie was right!” exclaimed Jack, who couldn’t see Phantom’s face.  “You did lead us into a trap!”
“What?  No?  I’ve never even met this guy before!  You are a guy, right?”
“Yes, my liege.”
“Right.  I’m going to put that on the backburner and freak out about it later.  How are you- Why are you—” Phantom shook his head.  “Why are you here in Pariah’s Keep?”
“It’s your keep.”
“Since when?”
“Say what now?” asked Jack and Maddie at once.
“Look, this is news to me, too.  But, back to the question.  You.  The keep. Why?  I mean, you weren’t here before.”
“That is because Pariah sealed me, my liege.  When you defeated him, I was released and immediately swore fealty to the true king.  You.”
“I am so freaking out right now, but we’ll revisit that. Later.  Right now, I have to get these guys home.”
“But they have hostile intentions towards your person, my liege!”
“Everyone has hostile intentions towards me.  I’m honestly surprised you haven’t attacked me yet.”
“Ah.  My liege, perhaps you should seek the services of a priest, if all your experiences with new people are such.”
“Is that the medieval equivalent of a therapist?”
“I fear I do not know what that is.  Why do you ask?”
“Because the last time I talked to one of those, they purposefully picked at every one of my insecurities and then tried to murder my, uh.  Someone close to me.”
“An evil counselor, then,” said the knight, gravely.
“I want to agree with you, but somehow I feel like you’re talking about something completely different than the image in my head.”
“That may be true, my liege.  Doubtless, you are very wise.”
Maddie was… lost.
Very lost.
Even so, her prerogative was escaping.  She started twisting, trying to get to the knots around her wrists.
“Did you, uh, pilot the castle out here?”
“Yes.  I sensed that mortal enemies of the king, that’s you—”
“I will debate that as soon as my brain stops screaming at me.”
“—had entered the Realm.”
“Right.  Yeah. Thank you.  But I can handle these guys.  And I need to get them home.  Please. I made a deal with them.”
“With these?”
“Hey!” said Jack, offended.
“I mean, I use the term deal pretty loosely.”
“Hey!”
“But yes.  Please.  Just.  Dang.  How did you tie them up that quickly?”
“It’s a hobby.”
“Do you mind if I take the chairs?”
“They are your chairs, my liege.”
“I’m still not used to that.”
“Are you quite certain you want to take them?  And just… Let them loose?  The dungeon here is very functional.  We even have an oubliette.”
“Raincheck.  But thank you.  Really, I mean it.”  Phantom flew behind Maddie, and she protested as the chair she was in was yanked upward. “Uh… I might have gotten turned around a time or two, so if you could…”
“Of course!  The keep does seem to have sustained some damage, so we will have to take some detours.”
“Phantom!  Phantom! Put us down and untie us.”
“Nah, I think I like this better.  Your kids can untie you once I bring you back!”
“You’re going to drag us all the way through the Ghost Zone?”
“That’s the plan.”
.
The rest of the flight was surprisingly pleasant. No one attacked, and his parents were much easier to carry in the chairs.  Sure, they struggled, but the struggling was much more manageable than the wriggling from before.
They were mad at him.  But they were always mad at him.  So.
No loss, really.
With the utmost carefulness, Danny set them down in the middle of the lab, still tied up, and then began zapping then tossing their most troublesome inventions into the gaping maw of the portal while they screamed at him.
Normally, he wouldn’t do this, especially after successfully rescuing his parents and hopefully raising their opinion of him, but some of those inventions were painful.  Like.  A lot painful.  And dangerous.  Also, he was doing his level best to avoid thinking about the whole ‘king’ thing.
Which he couldn’t do forever.
Especially since Jazz walked down the stairs, probably drawn by the screaming, to see Danny shoving half of the Ghost Catcher through the portal sans-strings.
“Uh,” said Danny.
“Get that ghost, Jazzy-pants!”
Danny vanished and fled upstairs.
.
Jazz had seen many strange things in her life, but that scene was one of the weirder ones.
It took some time to untie her parents, longer to extract herself from the ensuing rant and their attempt to salvage their equipment from Danny’s all-too-explicable rampage.  Honestly, she was surprised Danny hadn’t snapped earlier.
She opened the door to his room.  It was empty.  She squinted. He was not just leaving her hanging like that, with no context to what happened other than their parents’ ranting.  She opened her door.
Danny was lying on his side on the middle of her rag rug, hugging Bearbert Einstein.
“A ghost told me I was king and that I needed a priest.”
Oh boy.

suna x y/n
in which youve liked suna for years, suna is a tsundere, and tsukishima is a little shit.
includes tsukiyama, best friends tsuki & yamaguchi, mentioned miya twins, tsukishima is a shit stirrer and we love him for it.
warnings: smut, public funking, big cock suna, stupid suna, a little spit, uhhhhh, also my fics are never beated all mistakes are my own 🥴
wc: 4.1k
The first time you saw Suna Rintaro was at nationals. He was easily one of the prettiest boys you have ever seen. All you wanted to do was introduce yourself to him, but seeing as how they lost to Karasuno… you didn't think he'd give the time of day to a student there.
You debated following him on his socials… but ultimately went against it.
There was no way he'd be interested in you anyway.
The second time you saw Suna Rintaro, you were eating lunch with Kei and Tadashi.
You were midchew listening intently to Tadashi's story when you looked up and saw him.
He was walking with his friends, the twins, and you started choking.
Kei glanced at you while Tadashi fussed to make sure you weren’t dying.
He also happened to glance in the direction you were looking and saw the reason for your sudden choking.
“Y/n, oh my god, are you okay??”
“Tadashi, she's fine. She just so happened to see her four year crush.”
You punched him in his stupid gut.
The third time you saw Suna he was in one of your classes. Along with one of the twins. The one with yellow hair… What was his name again?
You were seated near the back, always keen on avoiding human interaction if you could.
And, of course, they both decided to sit directly in front of you.
Not that they paid you any attention.
Which was fine.
Until your professor told the class they should get someone elses contact information.
Since you were alone, and no one was near you except for Suna and Miya, you had no choice but to give it to Miya when he asked.
“Yo, I’m Atsumu! This is Suna.”
You looked up at, ah his name is Atsumu, Atsumu and smiled shyly.
“Hey! I’m Y/n…”
You took a chance at Suna but he's looking at his phone, not even bothering to give you another glance.
Unknown to you, he was already looking at you, but decided to look away before he got caught by either you or Atsumu.
You offered up your email and number to Atsumu, looking over to see if Suna wanted to as well.
He didn't even look at you, which may or may not have bummed you a bit, but you decided it was better this way.
You and Atsumu exchanged at least which was better than nothing, you suppose.
From then on, you and Atsumu became fast friends. You would try to talk to Suna, but he would just grunt at you or not even bother answering. So you gave up on trying. Which kind of fucking sucked, but if he wanted to be a prick, then you wouldnt bother with that.
Has your crush dwindled? No, of course not.
Atsumu was always talking about Suna and the stuff they were up to and he seemed so wonderful, so it sucked that he wouldnt even look at you.
You're crying about Suna to Kei and Tadashi; you're so distracted you don't even notice them walking in.
But Kei does, and right before you say his name he decides to be nice and cut you off.
“Shut up. Look who’s here.”
You look to glare at Kei and then you look up and, oh my god, of course it's him.
Suna and the Miya twins.
Atsumu notices you and starts walking over to you excitedly like a little puppy.
As annoying as he is, it's so endearing, you can't help but love him.
“Hey, Y/n!”
“Oh, hey Atsumu. Whats up?” You crinkle your eyes at him and in the most subtle way a tick appears in Suna’s eyebrow.
No one notices, except Kei.
He mentally grins.
“Oh, this is my brother! Osamu! We’re twins!”
You laugh and Kei puts his arm around you.
“Wow, really? I would've never guessed.”
You slap your hand on Kei’s leg and tell him to be nice.
He turns to whisper in your ear, “Leave your hand there. I'm testing a theory.”
You look at him with a question in your eyes but decide to listen anyway. Let him have his fun.
“I didn't know you had a boyfriend,” someone who definitely isn't Atsumu says.
You look up, why is Suna talking to you?
“Hmm?” You're staring at him curiously and then he just stalks off.
Atsumu starts to cackle. “What the fuck. He doesn't talk to you at all and then says that shit?”
“Y-yeah. What the hell was that about?”
Osamu is looking at you with sparkles in his eyes and you're about to ask what that means when he's suddenly walking away, “Sorry, gotta go and make sure he doesn't accidentally hurt himself! It was nice meeting you, Y/n.”
“You too…?”
Atsumu catches up to them to see what the fuck that was about.
They're sitting on a bench outside and Atsumu walks up to them trying not to laugh.
“What the fuck was that, Suna? I thought you didn't like her!”
“I don't.” He rolls his eyes, but there's a faint blush to his cheeks.
“Oh my god. You fucking like her.”
“Shut the fuck up, Tsumu.”
“LMFAO.”
“Atsumu, why the fuck did you just say that out loud?”
“Suna, you’re such a fucking tsundere. Why don't you just talk to her, idiot?”
“Why would I do that, when she clearly has a boyfriend?”
“Well, Rin, you didn't even let her answer before you stormed off. Maybe if you actually talked to her, you might find out the truth.”
Suna blinks at Osamu and gives a gentle smile.
“This is why you're my favorite twin.”
“Fuck you, Suna. You can't even talk to the person you like.”
“What the fuck was that. Kei? What the fuck was that?”
You're kind of having a little breakdown. Why did Suna randomly ask that, out of absolutely nowhere. He doesn't give you the time of day, then all of a sudden asks if you have a boyfriend? In what universe is Suna Rintaro living?
Kei is smirking.
“Babe, I think Suna likes you.” Surprisingly, it's Tadashi who speaks.
“Suna doesn't like me, Tadashi. He's clearly an idiot who knows nothing.”
“No, yeah. He totally likes you. He looked like he wanted to kill me.”
“Kei! You can't go antagonizing people!”
“Yes. i can. Especially assholes who think they can say shit when they don't even bother to talk to you.”
You smile wide. Fuck. “Oh my god, Tadashi! Kei loves meeee!”
He blushes and pushes you. “Fuck off, no one even likes you.”
You wrap him in a hug and he's groaning the whole time, but Tsukishima Kei loves you.
Thankfully, it's friday. Which means you're not going to think about school for the next two days.
Unfortunately, Tadashi is dragging you to a party. Originally, he was only taking you because Kei refused to go. But now there's a change in plans.
You're whining into the phone, “Tadashiiii, if Kei is going then why do I have to??”
A voice, who is most certainly not your sweet freckled baby, answers instead, “Because your stupid boyfriend,” “I dont have a boyfriend, Kei” “is going to be there, and my job is to piss him off.”
“Why do you live off of chaos? What do you get out of it?”
“Pissing people off is one of my favorite pastimes, midget. Get ready.”
And the mother fucker hangs up on you.
One of these days, you swear you're going to kick him right where it hurts the most.
You walk into the party, Tadashi holding your hand and Kei's hand on your back. It's nice. It's comfortable. You feel like everyone thinks you’re fucking them both. You're not. They’re fucking each other, but that’s a whole other thing you’re not going to get into.
Tadashi goes to get some drinks and Kei takes you to a wall and cages you in.
You blink up at him so prettily, he thinks, if he wasn't in love with his boyfriend, you would've been his next one.
“Kei?” You say so softly and he smirks like the demon he is.
“Saw dumb, dumb and dumbest playing beerpong. I think one of them saw you, so I’m just doing my friendly duty and pissing him off.”
You roll your eyes good naturedly at him and see Tadashi making his way over to you guys.
“Yummy! Give me, give meee!”
Tadashi smiles at you so sweetly and leaves a soft kiss on your forehead.
“I love you, sweetheart!”
“Babe, I'm gonna blush, you womanizer!”
He blushes at that. Tadashi is much too sweet for your teasing but you love seeing how red he can be.
“Shut up, you little brat!”
Suna noticed. He always notices you. He saw the moment you walked in. He narrowed his eyes the moment Kei caged you next to the wall. He also saw when Tadashi kissed you.
The math aint mathin, he thinks to himself.
Atsumu notices his glaring and wants to see what has Suna so angry. At a party.
Then he sees you and who you're with and he laughs in Suna’s face.
“What are you angry about? You never talk to her, idiot. Why don't you change that? Actually, lets go.”
He grabs Suna by his wrist, dragging him across the room to where you three are.
“Y/n! Hey! I didn't know you came to parties!”
You blink your pretty eyes towards them and you smile wide.
“Tsumu! I don't usually, but they wanted me to come and I love them so… Here I am!”
“What, you're not gonna say hi to me, too?”
Now. normally, you would blush and brush it off. But unfortunately, you got some liquid courage in your system because of Tadashi.
“Oh? What's this? Suna is actually making an effort in talking to me?”
You smile so cutely at him and his eyes widen. Is that a blush?
Before he can respond, Atsumu is laughing his ass off.
“She’s got a fuckin point there, Suna!”
“Shut the fuck up, Tsumu. Whose side are you on anyway?”
“Obviously, Y/n’s side.”
You start laughing loudly at their interaction. Kei has a tight grip on your waist and Suna is glaring at the offensive hand.
“You got a staring problem, Suna?”
You glance up at Kei and see a mischievous fire in Kei’s eyes.
“Can you be nice for two seconds, Kei?”
“He's glaring at my hand. Am I supposed to say nothing?”
“Maybe you're just imagining it, hmm?” You say sweetly to him.
He’s about to tell you how stupid you are when someone speaks up, “Hey, Y/n. You wanna go outside? Me and Tsumu are gonna go get some fresh air.”
Kei raises a brow at that, “What, just Y/n? Not us?”
“Nope.” He says, popping the p extra loud.
“Yeah, sure. It's stuffy in here. I'll be back okay? Try not to murder anyone. Love you, bye!”
You make your way outside and find a nice little secluded spot.
It feels so much better than being inside a cramped party where everyone is breathing the same air.
“Wow, it feels so nice out here, huh?”
You have such a pretty little smile all Suna wants to do is kiss you until you're giggling just for him.
“You're really touchy with your friends, aren't you Y/n?”
To your utter surprise, it's not Atsumu who is talking to you.
Atsumu is trying to hold back his cackle; sometimes Suna is too blunt for his own good.
“Hmm, I guess so. I've also known them forever, so it's natural for me to be like that with them. Why, you jealous, Suna?”
You're sitting down squished between Suna and Atsumu and it's giving you butterflies.
Suddenly, Atsumu’s phone is ringing.
“Fuck, its Samu.”
“Yeah? What's up? What? Why did you leave, you stupid… Alright. Stop. Osamu, stop, I'll be right there. Jesus.”
“Sorry, guys. Osamu is drunk and is attempting to walk home alone for whatever reason. I'm gonna go get him. See you guys later?”
“Hopefully! Let me know when he's safe, okay, Tsumu?”
“Yeah, of course, sweetheart!”
You blush, Atsumu has never called you sweetheart before.
Suna knew he was a fucking liar and only doing it to get a reaction out of him. Fucker.
He clears his throat, “We’re friends, aren't we, Y/n?”
You hum, thinking over what he's asking. “Are we, Suna? How can we be friends when you never speak to me?”
You smile oh so sweetly at him and he wants to bite it off of your face.
“We’re talking now, aren't we?”
“I suppose we are, Suna…”
“Call me Rintaro.”
You stammer at his bluntness, “O-okay… Rintaro…” It feels like candy on your tongue.
You’re so fucking cute, he thinks.
“Are you shy? Like a cute little… bunny.”
You stare up at him, eyes wide, face red.
“B-bunny?! Do you go around calling all unsuspecting girls, bunny, Mister Rintaro?”
“Nah. Just the cute ones named Y/n.”
“You're very bold for someone who I just became friends with, aren't you, Rin?”
He puts an arm around you and pulls you closer.
“But, you're so cute, bunny. I can tell you like the nickname. Should I keep calling you bunny? Hmm?”
You're trying to fight the heat on your face, but he's so cute. His words make your insides jelly and you want to kiss him.
“Should I keep going, bunny? Or go back to Y/n?”
You whine at him, “Noooo, Rin…”
Suna can’t help but think how cute you are. He can't help but want to pull more reactions out of you. He manhandles you onto his lap and you're squirming around a little too much.
“Watch it, bunny. If you don't stop you're gonna make this hard for the both of us.”
You stop squirming and cover your face with your hands trying to fight off your blush and embarrassment.
“Rintaro! You can't just say shit like that!”
“Oh? So you want me to get hard? Bunny, you're nasty, aren't you?”
He wraps his hands around your back and snuggles you right next to him so he can whisper naughty things into your ear.
“Bunny, if you wanted me that's all you had to say. I'm all yours, yeah?”
He brings his mouth to plant sweet kisses onto your neck and you're so embarrassed and in shock this is happening to you, you don't react immediately.
Then you feel his teeth sinking into your skin and you let out a breathy moan.
“Oh? What's this? You like being bitten, little bunny?”
“S-shut up, Rin…”
He huffed a laugh against your skin and continues to kiss and nibble at you. He's determined to mark you up so everyone can see just who you belong to.
He moves his hands so they are under your clothes touching your soft skin and it feels so good to have him touching you like this.
“Rin, more, please…”
And who is he to say no to a pretty little bunny?
He gives you the sweetest kiss which is all the warning you get before he's thrusting his tongue into your mouth.
You moan into the kiss and he soaks it up. Your tongues are battling and you've never experienced such euphoria in your life. If you could die right now you would be happy.
He removes himself from your mouth and you whine out a protest.
“Hush, bunny. Open up, yeah?”
You look at him questioningly but do as he says anyway. You open your mouth wide and loll your tongue out just a little bit and he groans at his obedient little bunny.
He stares you dead in the eyes and slowly drops some of his spit into your mouth.
“Don’t swallow until I tell you to, bunny.”
He watches the way his spit runs down into your throat and his dick swells tremendously.
“Okay, sweet baby. Swallow for me, yeah?”
You start to grind down onto his clothed cock and, fuck, it feels so good.
He grabs your hips and helps you rub your tiny little cunt all over him.
“Feel good, bunny? Hmm?”
“Y-yes Rin, feels so good… More…”
“More? Here, bunny? Are you sure?” He laughs into your skin.
You're so delirious with lust it doesn't really occur to you where you are, just that you need to feel him inside you.
“Are you sure bunny? I don't know if your little cunt can take me like this…”
You pout at him, “I can do it, daddy…”
He stiffens at the name. That's new.
“Daddy, please…”
Suna is pretty sure you have no idea what you're saying to him but how can he deny you when you're begging him so sweetly?
“Alright, pretty bunny, let daddy take care of you, yeah?”
Your eyes sparkle in utter happiness and he's struck back for a second. You're going to be the death of him, he thinks.
He goes to move your panties to the side and scoffs. As if he could even call these panties. It's basically a piece of string covering your little cunt.
So, he rips them in two.
“Rintaro! You can’t just rip my fucking underwear!”
You’re pouting at him and, fuck, he wants to shove his cock down your sweet little mouth. Another time, perhaps.
“Hush, baby. I'll buy you more. Not that it was covering much anyway.”
You're about to give him an earful before he's shoving a finger into your sopping cunt.
“Wow, bunny. You're soaked. Is this all for little ol me?”
He's leisurely pumping a long, thick finger in and out of your cunt and it has your thighs quivering.
“Yes, Rin, all for you, always for you,” you cry into his neck.
And all too soon he's taking his finger out and you look into his eyes and watch as he sucks your arousal off of his finger.
“Alright, bunny. Take my cock out.”
You're reaching down to his jeans and just seeing his bulge makes your cunt throb. Fuck, you cannot wait to have it inside you.
You slowly take his cock out and of course it's big and pretty just like him. Can't really say you're surprised about it.
He watches you as your eyes widen in excitement and softly stroke his pretty cock.
“You like what you see, bunny?”
You don't even spare him a glance while you lick your lips and nod softly. You very much do like what you see.
“Alright, sweetheart. It's gonna be a tight fit. Are you sure you want this here?”
“Yes, yes. Rin, please, daddy, please if you don't shove your dick inside me soon I will explode!”
He laughs at your word vomit. You're just so unbearably cute and there is no way in hell he can ever deny you.
“Alright, sweet bunny. Get ready, okay?”
Even when hes about to fuck your brains out, you cant believe how sweet he actually is.
He spits on his dick and lifts you up ever so slightly so he can slip the head inside your quivering hole.
Not that he needed the extra lubrication, he just wanted to make sure it was extra sloppy.
The fat head of his cock makes its way past your folds and you close your eyes with a silent, open mouthed moan.
“Shh,” he coos at you, “look at my sweet little baby, taking my cock raw. Does it hurt, bunny?”
He thinks he hears you growl more at him and he chuckles into the night.
And then he’s sinking you lower and lower and lower, until he's inside you.
All of him is inside you and, fuck, he wants to live in your cunt.
“You take me so well, sweetheart. Were you made for me? Is this cunt made only for me?”
You're babbling a symphony of yes, more, all for you daddy and it's doing everything in his power to not pound you like an animal.
“Rin,” you whine into his ear, “if you dont start moving now im going to walk away and never look back you stupid-”
He grabs your hips and lifts you till he's barely inside you and slams you down onto him.
You're squeezing him so tight, your cunt fluttering around his cock and he's trying not to finish right then and there.
“You're on top bunny, come on, show me, help me out, yeah?”
You can't hear anything; you just have this raw, vicious need for his cock to split you in half.
You start moving up and down as hard as you can and it's the most beautiful feeling you've felt in months.
He's helping you so he reaches a little deeper, you are involuntarily squeezing his shaft, so lost in pleasure.
No one has ever fucked you like Suna Rintaro is currently fucking you.
You're pretty sure no one else will ever measure up to him.
He's sucking hickies all over your unblemished neck, a feral growl in him knowing he's the one who's gonna have his marks all over your precious body.
“S’at feel good, baby? You like when I bite your neck and slam you on my thick cock, bunny?”
“Yes, daddy, yes I love it so much, please more!”
And then he really puts you to work.
He's slamming you down onto him as hard as he can. Your heady arousal is absolutely soaking him. It's so filthy and nasty and perfect and you wouldn't have it any other way.
“God, fuck. You're perfect, bunny. Touch your sweet little clit for me?”
You're so lost in pleasure you don't hear him through the haze of your arousal.
He growls into your ear, “Touch your fucking clit and make yourself cum on my cock or you’re never getting this dick again, bunny.”
You whimper out into the night sky and sluggishly move your hand to your poor, throbbing clit.
You press your finger gently onto it before matching suna’s rough pace.
“God, how can you get any fucking tighter. Its like fucking a virgin, at this point.”
Which makes you rub your clit faster, “Daddy, daddy, please m so close, wanna cum all over your pretty cock!”
He wraps a pretty hand around your throat and demands, “Cum, bunny.”
You cum so hard you see white.
You're moaning and he shoves his tongue into your mouth.
Your cunt is fluttering around his so fucking deliciously he cant help but slam you down one last time and fill your guts with his semen.
You're still shaking in his arms from your orgasm and he just holds you and kisses you through it until you finally relax.
You blink up at him, trying to get some clarity in your eyes.
“Either you're an angel, or you're sent straight from hell. How can the best fuck of my life be at some shitty college party?” You ask him. And then it hits you.
“OH MY GOD, Suna! Why did you let us fuck at some shitty college party?!”
He laughs loudly at you.
“Bunny, you asked. I delivered. Shouldn't you be thanking me?”
“Oh, yes. Thank you so much, Suna-sama, for defiling me at a nasty frat party!”
“Baby,” he smiles mischievously, “anything for you.”
You're laughing into his skin when all of a sudden someone is throwing a towel? at your head.
“Hey, what the fuck-”
You turn to look at the offending fucker and you just see a blushy Tadashi and smirking Kei.
“Kei! Tadashi!” And then you remember Suna’s softening cock is still inside you.
“I cannot believe you nasty fucks couldn't wait until you were at someone’s house. Outside of a party. You're kidding.”
“Shut the fuck up, Kei. Mind your business!”
Suna pulls you protectively to his chest.
Kei laughs at him and rolls his eyes, “Relax lover boy, Tadashi is all the ass I need.”
Tadashi turns into an even blushier mess and hisses at him, “Kei! You don't have to be so lewd!”
They're turning to leave when Kei graces you with a parting gift.
“Good job, Y/n. It only took you 4 years to talk to your crush.”
Fuck. You're going to murder him in his sleep. You know where he lives. You have his key.
“What does that mean, bunny?”
You groan into his chest; you were hoping to avoid this topic forever if you could.
“Ughhhhh, I saw you when you played against Karasuno at nationals and I've just kind of had a crush on you since then,” you say really fast hoping he'll drop it.
Unfortunately, he does not drop it.
“Well, I guess I have a lot of time to make up for then, don't I, sweet bunny?”
Your heart flutters and you place a heart stopping kiss to his soft lips.
“Can we go now?”
You laugh and yeah. You guess you’re kind of glad you came to this stupid frat party and had a class with Suna Rintaro.

Some September 1st Updates
the READING SPEED difference of a novel at my level! I read the first chapter of 撒野 yesterday and this author is at exactly my reading level right now. I hit 0-2 new words each pleco page, which is usually the sweet spot to either guess the word or if I look it up I can pretty quickly adapt to recognizing it in context. Its also the sweet spot where if I only rely on guessing for new word meanings, on a second pass through I can fairly well guess the meaning quickly.
It was a 32 page chapter in pleco and I read it in 20 minutes. Compared to the 20 pleco page per chapter pingxie fic i just finished (like 124k characters! WOW I read and FINISHED that much!), which was taking 30-40 minutes per chapter (mainly because of number of new vocabulary per chapter being a bit higher). If I’d wanted to speed read saye I could have, I’d have missed some small details but I could have tried if I wanted.
Then I did a second pass later in the day with the audiobook just following along with the text. Realized 1. I knew most words in the audiobook and did not follow as well as i thought - but those first listen throughs without having seen the chapter I did manage to figure out the main character just broke up, just travelled somewhere, ran into a girl and somehow the girls brother showed and the two guys interacted a little and someone was being somewhat helpful, then the main guy met his father trying to ‘pick him up.’ Which is a true but very rough summary of what happens in the first chapter. By reading I could confirm the words I thought were names AS names, figured out WHY the girl was interacting with the main guy and that there were actually two girls in chapter 1, and figure out who helped who and who was the girl’s brother. Also somehow before I looked at the chapter text I never caught that the audiobook mentions a motorcycle despite me knowing that word and it SOUNDING like mota-che/motorche! it sounds like the word and i knew it and didn’t hear it! Then later following the audiobook with the text I realized another issue I had, is I’m not used to listening to soft voices with such faint pronunciations of the final sounds. I’m much more used to deeper crisper pronunciations and being able to rely clearly on initials and finals AS much as tones to recognize the words, whereas this particular audiobook i needed to mainly rely on tones and initials to figure out what word was what - that probably threw me off a bit. It’s probably good for me to get practice listening to such a different voice to what I’m used to. I have definitely learned the deeper the voice, the more I have a far easier time figuring out what’s being said. Also standard accent more like beijing but without a huge amount of ‘er’s just some, and taiwan accent are the easiest for me to hear when i’m not pa
For anyone curious, here is the audiobook for SaYe I’m listening to: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2w27tfjeeaySbMK272NpXwUtsBc-e3YN
Also here’s a chinese audiobook youtube I found: https://www.youtube.com/c/%E6%9C%89%E5%A3%B0%E5%B0%8F%E8%AF%B4%E5%90%AC%E4%B9%A6%E4%B8%96%E7%95%8Cyoushengxiaoshuo/playlists
Which includes The King’s Avatar: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTJaWZoVPdT1ZhIQIKxVci7fVEHr-oX6k
And ErHa: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsxEOGKlBMaFa6CS6Hf5ndy6qTtUL0Au_
Anyway, its a great book right now for reading practice. It’s very much around my level. I will probably stick with this author for a little while and solidify what I know/my base reading level.

IN OTHER NEWS:
I am apparently living proof listening-reading, heavy emphasis on re-listening a TON in the background as you work or type or walk/drive whatever, works for learning new words.
I re-listened to guardian chapter 1 audiobook at least 20-30 times by now, just a tremendous amount. Chapters 1-10 I’ve listened to at least 5 times by now random chapters at random days, and some probably also 20 times.
I have listened to these chapters enough, that I can officially follow so much that I know nearly every freaking word I hear, I know it immediately on hearing in at least 3 different audiobooks, and the few ‘less familiar’ words I recognize a second after hearing (like hearing ‘audacious’ or ‘glum’ in english it just takes me a second to re-remember), and the very few still forgotten words/specific details I learn From those words I can actually pick up from the context of listening.
I hear ‘powei’ and somehow forgot it AGAIN? Oh it means ‘rather’ in this context. ‘anli’ well i always hear ‘anlishuo’ as in ‘people say/generally speaking’ so ‘anli’ in this context must mean ‘generally/generally speaking.’ chuanghu? can’t remember it because i was just typing this JUST now and only hearing a few words from the audiobook in the background - well in context its obviously window, but out of context my brain said window and i just couldn’t remember if it was window or curtain but felt curtain had something more complex than ‘hu’ as the second half - just looked it up and my guess was right, even with no context which i’d have had if i’d been listening better and it had been clear it’s window, it still made me think ‘window’ immediately just hearing the sound. ‘xiang yi ge ren’ sounds like ‘looks like a person’ which is the next phrase i just randomly heard. ‘hua le yao ming’ shouted for their life/in awful terror? or that would be ‘huo’, so maybe ‘streaking toward him to take his life’? would make sense in context of a horror scene - i just looked it up and 划了要命 would be the second one. even IF i heard the wrong line, both of those are pretty close to a good guess in context and hua is the only unknown because without context i can’t place if it was hua or huo. i still confuse the words wu and wo for hold etc, but in context i can tell which one it is (wo is hold a hand, hold a face, etc).
I’m genuinely at a point where I can just completely follow the plot through at least the first 20 chapters from listening. And for most scenes, follow every detail too including stuff like guo changcheng spending half a year not working at home after he graduated, being so afraid of the phone, da qing being fawning to shen wei when they meet and rubbing against his leg, the specific conversation details when da qing runs across zhao yunlan’s car in chapter 2, what zhao yunlan’s room exactly looks like, etc. Its super cool to be able to follow the audiobook so well I can follow the story and details even when I don’t have time to read! It’s so fun! And it was not very hard!
It took 40 minutes of upfront study where you set time aside to focus: 20 minutes to have a program read the chapter aloud while you either see unknown word definitions pop up (like in Pleco) or look them up with some click dictionary as you listen. 20 minutes to go through and listen to the audiobook as you follow along with the text. Then after that, just play the audiobook chapters you’ve done this with whenever you want, either paying attention like when going to bed soon or walking, or in the background like when cleaning or doing busy work or driving. Since background listening can be done easily whenever all you have to do is remember to click play when you want something to listen to.
I’m honestly blown away by how much 3 months of studying mainly like this (which is quite fun and only requires me to carve out a small amount of actual study focused time) has improved my listening skills. I can now also listen to the 2ha audiobook okay and follow along (provided its a chapter I’ve read before so I have at least some prior context to help me out) - at least so far as that’s what I’m listening to right now. Basically, I can tell Guardian has both upped my vocabulary significantly and also improved my automatic recognition of many words I half-knew and learned since.
I recently found a new Guardian audiobook read by a deep voice and its lovely (and utilizes music and echo for effects, its lovely to listen to) I hope the poster keeps updating: https://fm.qq.com/show/rd002ED4aN0mYz2L__
I’ve been listening to it lately.

Also! Directions for using Pleco Android for screen reader:
1. To get any page bookmarked online:
Open a page in your mobile web browser you want to read. Click the menu, click share, click Pleco Reader (or ‘more’ or ‘...’ then Pleco Reader).
Go to Clipboard Reader. Now when you click text, dictate text megaphone will be an option.
*Since Clipboard Reader is free, you can do this to read in Pleco and have things spoken aloud with no money spent. (Though I find the Reader tool worth the money and add ons).
2. To have any text ‘dictated aloud’:
Go to Pleco’s menu, Settings, Audio, click ‘use TTS if no recording,’ then for Sentence Audio section area System TTS Setting click Speech Services by Google (you can also experiment by clicking other options I am just stating what worked for me, it didn’t work at first I had to make that my default TTS in my Accessibility-Talkback Settings menu on my main phone first and restart my phone before all this).
Then click the area right below to mess with speed and sound of the TTS voice.
(Note, to test if TTS is working you can go to any dictionary entry sentence, click the speaker next to the sentence and see if it plays audio. If it does not, you will get an error message and directions on what to change in your phone settings. That is what initially happened to me: I had to go to phone Settings, Accessibility, Talkback, TTS Engine, TTS Engine voice and settings. Pleco recommended I choose Speech Services by Google, and uninstall then reinstall the Chinese voice. Then restart the phone. That worked for me. An additional note: I have Talkback setting on ‘on’ and just have it in my toolbar to use if desired but am not actively using it. If you turn Talkback setting ‘off’ in the actual Settings area of Accessibility, I am not sure if it will affect Pleco’s ability to dictate).
3. How to put it together:
Now go to Clipboard Reader and read the page from the internet you wanted or text you pasted, or go to Document Reader and open the document you wish to read.
Click a word as a place to start. Now you should see both the loudspeaker (for pronouncing the single word) and the Megaphone next to it to start dictating all text. (If your phone is weird like me, you may need to press the megaphone a couple times before the audio works).
If you wish to change dictation reading speed, simply hold down the megaphone and select the speed desired.
Now that I’ve figured this out I really want to take pictures of my print book, make a pdf, and listen to all the changes.
(Now I just have to fix my weird dictionary in Idiom app and I’m all set on the new phone!)
---
All I’ve been doing the past august study wise is just reading pingxie fic and finishing, and listening to audiobooks. It’s been a busy time for me ToT
I do think it proved you can be lazy and still make some improvements though:
1. Reading in Pleco (or click-dictionary tool of your choice): pick something and read a chapter a day (that’s what I did, obviously the easier this is the less time you’ll need, but aim for around 30 minutes a day and reading material closer to your level if you don’t want to read too long)
2. Listening-Reading Method something above your reading level that you enjoy. Should take 40 minutes a couple times a week to several times a week to hours a week, depending on how intense you want to get with it and how much you’re going to alternate/include the reading portion. I did like 1-2 chapters a week so I was only spending 40 minutes to 1.5 hours a week doing this, or 3 hours one week no time another week. This is definitely something where you can do 6-12 hours one month then coast on it for another month just repeating older material’s audio/re-reading sections (which is what I did with guardian, doing 22 chapters then switching to just listening to audio a lot).
Once you’ve done a little L-R steps 2 and 3 (in either order, whatever works for you - and doing step 1 if you want more context prior to steps 2 and 3), then just make time during your days to play the audiobook chapters you’ve studied. You don’t need to be focusing every single time (although focusing on actually trying to follow the audio the first time you listen without text to aid you will probably speed up your comprehension a lot by giving you a lot of basic-context to help you comprehend more later). Aim to listen whenever you’ve got down time! Or time where you’d play music or some background youtube video or podcast - walks, exercise, drives, when cleaning, when browsing the web goofing off, when working if you have times when you’d listen to music with lyrics or a podcast in the background without issues, times when you don’t need to focus 100% on listening just putting it on to hear in the background).
That’s all I’ve done for study since May. It takes me about 30 minutes 5 days a week, plus 1-2 hours listening-reading actively a week. So 2.5 hours plus 2 = 4 hours of active study a week. Sometimes more like 8-10 if I got really into reading something or Listening-reading to several chapters. Then after that (very easy to fit into my life 4-10 hours per week of study) I just play the audiobook whenever I have downtime at work (that’s usually 0.5-4 hours where I just let it play because I forget its on while working on spreadsheets, updates, emails, etc, or play the audiobook while messing around on the internet in my free time at home, sometimes I put on music instead), while walking so 15-30 minutes maybe 3 days a week, while driving far so maybe 20 minutes - 2 hours per week. maybe lets say 2 hours*4 days a week (I don’t remember to listen every day) so 8 hours random listening+1.5 hours walking+1 hour driving per week. That’s 11.5 hours listening in the background or paying attention plus lets say 4 hours of active study a week. So 15.5 ‘study’ hours for chinese per week - an average overall of ~2.21 hours of chinese ‘study’ per day. This isn’t counting when I get into weibo and goof off, get into some chinese show with no english subs and just start watching it (I watched 16 episodes of Humans cdrama in August which is ~10.66 hours for a total of at least (15.5*4 weeks = 62 hours + 10.66 hours -> ~72.66 hours spent ‘with chinese’ in August at minimum. 4 weeks*7 days = 28, so over around 28 days or most of august I did 72.66 total hours/28 days -> or ~2.595 hours of chinese per day as an average. So... my guess that I spend at least 1-2 hours on chinese per day as the average was a decent guess. Looks like I’m usually 2 hours to 2.5 hours daily as an overall average. It’s not that hard to get in that much without a ton of time in the day once you get some listening skills built up ToT Deciding to build up my listening skills has been one of the funnest goals in chinese so far.
Notes on Listening Reading Actively - it also doubles as increasing your exposure to listening to your target language, and the more hours the better even if its passive in the background, just more hours adding up toward your mind getting a better ability to parse the sounds of the language is going to help your overall listening comprehension in general. So even if you don’t pay attention much and can’t follow the whole plot and only catch certain scenes, you will be improving at least comprehension of: hearing words you know, hearing colocations and common phrases and recognizing more automatically which will help with speaking/writing indirectly and reading recognition of those things, overall ability to hear things correctly in different combinations and getting used to the common combinations.
You will be surprised how much more you can pick up of plot and details the 3rd listen compared to the first, the 5th listen, the 10th listen. It’s wild. Like... I’m listening to the 2ha audiobook and even having never read it in chinese, just knowing basic context, the 2nd read through I caught so much more of the plot throughout just because I had forewarning of when scenes change a lot, what audio plays during some parts I recognized in previous listens, and so I have more focus for figuring out the new details I missed. Whereas the first listen, I didn’t always know WHAT the scene context was until I heard a familiar line or description I remembered from the english version of the scene, but on a second listen I now have a better guess at the scene the lines are probably taking place in before and after those lines I recognized in the first listen. And this continues etc each time you re-listen to something. (So yes, that initial context of knowing what you’re listening to with a previous read of its translation or target language transcript will definitely speed up comprehension pick up - but if you just wanna test what your basic listening comprehension to new content is then it works fine just going into new audio with no prior context its just more difficult at first lol until you build an idea of the context from listening).
The original Listening-Reading Method person did like 40+ hours a week, 8 hours most days, no wonder they made fast progress! They often included reading in some form (hence the name) and later translation, so they also were constantly working on listening AND some reading skills AND eventually often some speaking/writing skills. Doing it my way results in mostly listening comprehension of stuff you could already read to a degree, more automaticity in recognition, and for picking up new vocabulary both in listening and reading. I do extra reading on the side with other stuff to get more reading practice in an isolated way (since I’m trying to push my reading speed up above speaking speed). I always try to do it the way the creator originally intended, but I am not able to focus on things for more than 20 minutes at a time, 40 to a couple hours if I take a break every 20 minutes. So doing it 8 hours just doesn’t work out.
---
I’m fairly happy!
I am on plan for my main goals that started this style study plan:
1. Improving my reading level to get to start being able to extensively read actual danmei novels - we got there! I am at a reading level appropriate for SaYe at 98% comprehension when I checked, and at a bit above 95% comprehension for Guardian! I’m now continuing with that goal while adding on increasing reading Speed in general.
2. Improving listening skills so I have better automatic recognition of partly-known words from reading (working super well so far - I can tell because ability to watch cdramas in only chinese has improved noticeably and gotten much easier), and so I can start following the main plot and key details of audiobooks of things I’ve read before (working great for guardian, starting to work with other audiobooks provided I listen to the chapters a few times or several times if its brand new material I have no context for, however reading level matters and while things I have prior familiarity with are going very well - brand new materials are still quite challenging in that they require multiple listens for the full plot and several listens before I start picking up most non-plot-critical details).

BLOG TABOOS:
- I don’t tolerate hate. Full stop. If you’re actively harassing anybody, sending them death threats, hating on them for their fandoms or interests or literally anything else, I’m going to hardblock you. I don’t care if the other person sucks, I don’t believe that fighting hate with more hate helps anybody. By all means, give constructive criticism when necessary. But if the person doesn’t listen, block them. Don’t stoop as low as I’ve seen some people do. Be the better person.
- I do expect my roleplay partners to follow basic roleplay rules. Please don’t take control of my muse for me, or kill / seriously injure her without discussing it with me. There’s a chance I’ll be all for it considering I’m an angst fiend, but there’s also a chance I might want to take the thread in a different direction.
- I don’t get involved with fandom or RPC drama unless I want to. Please don’t try to drag me into it. I will speak up on things from time to time, but I try not to involve myself unless I absolutely have to. I don’t reblog call out posts and I don’t post them. I’ll simply block a person if they make me uncomfortable and move on.
MY PERSONAL BOUNDARIES:
- I am over 18, but this blog is strictly SFW when it comes to things of a sexual nature. First off, the most obvious reason- Noelle is a minor! All of the main characters from Deltarune are minors! They’re in, like, highschool. You should not be writing or drawing sexual content with these characters.
Aside from that, I’m very uncomfortable with sexual content in general, especially when directed towards me. This does include innuendoes and jokes. Please don’t send me anything of this nature, or I’ll more than likely softblock you. Especially if you’re a minor, you shouldn’t be interacting with that sort of content at all, much less sending it to a legal adult.
- Okay! As for romantic shipping, I don’t plan on getting into that too much. Noelle is a unique case in that she does have a canonical crush on Susie, but that’s probably as far as I’m gonna go with that sort of thing. I don’t currently intend on doing any romance-centric plots, so if that’s what you’re here for, this probably isn’t gonna be the blog for you.
- I usually don’t send rules passwords due to anxiety. That being said, please know I always read people’s rules before I follow them. That’s always the first thing I do when I’m scouting out blogs. I just get really nervous about sending in passwords to people I haven’t interacted with ‘cause I feel like I’m putting them on the spot to interact if they might not want to.
- I’d appreciate it if you’d have an idea in mind before you come to me for plotting. I’m gonna be honest, I absolutely suck at plotting when I’m prompted to do so. I try, but my brain often refuses to come up with ideas when I’m actively trying to come up with ideas. I will contribute what I can, but if you’re gonna come to me first about it, I’d prefer if you’d start it off. I’d rather you not message me randomly with something like “do you want to roleplay” because that does kind of put me on the spot. Just lemme know that you have an idea!
Also, as an add-on to this, I’ve gotten really bad at answering Tumblr IMs in general recently. If we’re mutuals, I’d much prefer you to add me on Discord for chatting and plotting! You can find me at CONSTANTLY SWITCHING FANDOMS™#0154! Just please let me know who you are via Tumblr first.
FOLLOWING & INTERACTIONS:
- This blog is moderately selective and mutuals only. I’m gonna be a little more picky on this blog than I used to be, because Tumblr RP was really starting to stress me out, and I realized that it was because I wasn’t setting enough boundaries for myself which was leading to me getting overwhelmed.
If I don’t follow back I will more than likely softblock. There’s no hard feelings towards you whatsoever if I do this- more than likely I just couldn’t see our characters or writing styles meshing well together, and that’s totally okay!
- When it comes to crossovers and OCs, these are gonna be the blogs where the slight increase in selectivity is going to be the most obvious. I’m still very open to interacting with other fandoms and OCs, but I will be a little more watchful about whether or not our fandoms really mesh well together.
Again, if I decide they don’t, no hard feelings. It’s mostly just to make sure my muse remains fairly high for all of my threads.
- Personals! Y’all can still follow me, I don’t care about that. Just so long as you follow some common courtesy rules. Don’t reblog IC posts or posts specifically relevant to this blog. Don’t like my starter calls, I only do threads with other RP blogs. Liking IC posts is fine, and reblogging stuff like fanart from me is also fine. I don’t worry about the notif spam thing too much, just so long as you don’t reblog things you shouldn’t.
ACTIVITY & RESPONSES:
- Noelle is a high activity muse for me, but I’m planning on making this blog more of a side project than my main focus, which means it’ll likely be mid-low activity. This is to keep me from getting burnt out with Tumblr RP again.
- My reply speed will vary drastically. Either I reply within 20 minutes or it takes me a week, no inbetweens (/hj). And I will have thread biases, muse biases, and even mun biases in some cases. Expect me to reply to threads with canon characters a lot quicker than crossover threads.
As for reply speed on your end, I don’t care! So long as I still have muse, I’ll probably be okay with continuing a thread even if it takes you two months to reply to it. Please don’t stress about replying to me quickly. Roleplay is supposed to be a hobby, and if you’re stressing out, there’s no point in doing it.
- When it comes to reply length, that varies drastically for me too depending on the thread. The longest reply I’ve ever written was 21 paragraphs, but my average tends to fall between 4 and 8. Please don’t feel the need to match length if I write you a novel. So long as you give me something to work with, it’s fine.
On the flip side, I don’t force myself to match length either. I write as much as I can handle writing at that particular moment, and that’s it. This, again, is so I don’t burn myself out with Tumblr RP again. That being said, I will never give you a one-liner in response to a full length RP post. That’s not cool. So don’t worry about that. Most times my responses will be over 3 paragraphs.
- I’m fine with doing mains, but not exclusives. I don’t want to limit myself to only writing with one version of a character. However, if I run into a mun or a specific portrayal of a character that I really click with, or that has a unique relationship with my Noelle, I’ll totally be down to be mains!
CONTENT & TAGGING:
The very first thing you should know about me is that I’m a top tier angst fiend. Always have been, probably always will be. I don’t have any strict boundaries when it comes to angst so long as it doesn’t break any of the rules I’ve already laid out, but I do tend to be a little cautious on Tumblr so I don’t inadvertently break somebody else’s boundaries.
Along with that, my Noelle’s main verse is from the single most traumatizing Deltarune route. Snowgrave is dark, arguably more so than the Undertale genocide route. There’s going to be mentions of character death and violence on this blog, and a lot of it at that. And I more than likely won’t be tagging canon typical violence and character death because there’s so much of it. So, if that’s something that bothers you, this probably isn’t the blog for you.
HOWEVER, I will be tagging any other trigger that pops up on this blog, along with anything personal to you. However, I’m only human and I may forget sometimes. So please let me know if I forget to tag one of your triggers!
My format for tagging is “(trigger) cw”! So make sure yours are blocked in a way that will catch that tag.
On the same subject, there are a handful of things I personally need tagged:
Anything that could be a health anxiety trigger, preferably tagged with the specific illness, as it highly varies what triggers my health anxiety and what doesn’t.
Controversial and stressful topics like politics, religious debates, and world issues.
Heavy criticism of my interests. (And by this I mean full on rants & fandom / character bashing.) + Fandom and RPC drama.
Sexual NSFW in any context. Visual gore (art / pictures). Vomiting and unsanitary things that could trigger somebody to vomit.
ABOUT THE MUN + CREDITS:
Hello hello! You can call me Color. I’m currently 19 as of 12 / 26 / 2021. I’m a cis girl and go by she/her pronouns. I’m self-diagnosed with ADHD, though I plan to seek out an official diagnosis when I have the ability to do it. I also have anxiety, like every other roleplayer on this website. /lh
Deltarune sucked me in way harder than I expected it would at first. I’m in love with the characters, the soundtrack, and everything else about it. And I’m super happy to have a chance to involve myself in the RPC.
The graphics on this blog are either (A) random stock images I pulled from Google Images or (B) My art. There’s not a lot of official Deltarune art AFAIK, so I was forced to improvise, Lol.
OPTIONAL RULES PASSWORD:
So! This is absolutely not required. Believe me, I understand being anxious, and I’ll trust that most people read my rules. But! If you want to give me extra confirmation, you can do one of two things:
(1) Like this post. Or (2), send me this password: “It’s difficult to see through the ice.”
Otherwise, thank you so much for reading, and I hope we get to interact soon!

Ranked: Hannah Montana — Jake Ryan Episodes
Tumblr media
Here we are at last: Jake Ryan.  I think you all probably could’ve seen this coming, but I had to keep you waiting (and gather my thoughts a bit).  Of Miley’s canon love interests, Jake (Leslie) Ryan is the one that gets the most screentime overall, and happens to be my personal favorite match for her, so it only makes sense to dedicate a Ranked post to him.  As per usual, I’ll be revealing these rankings from Worst->Best, in reverse-order of how much I liked them.
Which brings us to probably the most unambiguous “Worst” ever:
“The End of the Jake As We Know It” (Season Four)
Tumblr media
Yeah.  Of all the episodes on this list, this is the only one I actively dislike.  I don’t think this one was too much of a shock to anyone, but let me talk about why anyway:
This is the first and only time Jake shows up in Season 4.  He’s barely shown in Season 3, which we’ll talk about a little more further down, but he really just seems to appear solely to be dragged through the mud, and then unceremoniously shooed out so Miley can ride off into the sunset with Jesse. I don’t even necessarily have a problem with them breaking up.  I wouldn’t be happy about it, but you could at least give a better reason— you’ve done it before!  Twice!  And there’s a perfectly good reason right there in front of them: they’ve been apart for a while, they liked each other as kids, but now that they’re getting older and growing into separate lives, they’re growing apart.  But no, let’s just have him randomly cheat on her, because that’s totally a satisfying conclusion to a multi-season arc.  Calling one of your most beloved recurring characters a dick for 30 minutes is peak comedy, amirite?
This is also the only time in Season 4 that Oliver is actually an important part of an episode? He shows up for like 5 minutes in the Finale, but really, the Season 4 episode where he has the most screentime is this one.  And while there’s nothing wrong with how Oliver is written here, it just makes a little extra mad, because most of his screentime is focused on this dumbass plot development.  I can’t help but think, They brought back my man for this?! on both counts.
But let’s move on to less loathsome episodes, shall we?
“He Could Be The One” (Season Three)
Tumblr media
Okay, I might catch some shit for this.  I know. This episode’s very popular.  I am aware of that.  And I don’t actually hate this episode, like with the other one.  I like the song, I like Miley asserting herself to her dad when it comes to her dating life, Lilly and Oliver are on-point (although that does kind of apply to the last episode too), and I even liked most of the interactions between Miley and Jake.  That said, here’s why I’m ranking it so low:
THE ONLY REASON IT EXISTS IS TO SET MILEY UP WITH SOMEONE ELSE.
Everything from the start of the episode to the weird reframing of Miley and Jake’s complicated past to the focus on Miley bonding with someone else, thinking about that someone else when she’s singing to Jake, talking about how she wants to kiss that someone else so badly except for the inconvenient fact that she’s with Jake, to the episode treating them like equivalent options that are just so hard to decide between despite she and Jesse barely knowing each other and having no history outside this episode… every bit of it is designed to make you like the other guy better and root for the other guy.
And I guess if you haven’t watched the other episodes, or you have but it’s been awhile and you don’t remember them super-well, it’s easier to root for Jesse (ignoring all the problems that he himself has as a character, in this episode, even, but let’s not focus on that right now).  But this show can’t trick me that easily, sorry not sorry.
I “should” like this episode more, given that this is when they get back together, but they could’ve gotten them together differently.  Instead, we have Lilly berating Miley for going back to her ex after she rejects Jesse, we have Miley… tackling Jake?  Did anyone else find that odd?  Funny, yes, but weird as hell, and not really indicative of their dynamic.  And worst of all, we have them completely rewriting history and hoping we don’t notice.  It’s not respectful to list “we have so much history” as a reason to stay with Jake if you can’t be bothered to portray that history accurately.  So before we delve into that history a bit, let me make one thing abundantly clear:
Jake did not break Miley’s heart.  He’s also not the only one who’s ever fucked up or acted immaturely in their relationship. You wouldn’t know it from watching this, but she’s the one who broke up with him the only time they actually did date.  Yeah, it was kind of crappy of him to make her think he was marrying her friend so he could “Gotcha!” her on TV, and it wasn’t great of him to kiss her and then leave in Season 1, but that’s a far cry away from “breaking her heart.”  He literally never did.  The fact that they framed it that way is not only frustrating, but also some gross foreshadowing for what they ultimately did to his character later on.
That said, the way Jake actually is when he’s onscreen (i.e. when you look at how he actually acts and not just how other people are talking about him) is pretty in-character, funny even.  Miley and Jake still have their chemistry and their interactions are amazing apart from that weird tackling thing, and Jake reacting to the cat sweater was something I didn’t know I needed.  So objections aside, I do like this episode.  Just not as much as what’s to come.
“Jake… Another Little Piece of My Heart” (Season Three)
Tumblr media
So while my previous entry was largely dedicated to explaining why it was ranked lower, this entry is going to be a defense of sorts, explaining why this episode, yeah might not be the best, but is a lot better than people remember, or at least is one I’m still very fond of.
In Jake’s last appearance before this, Miley agreed to be “just friends” with him.  Here, we see them following up on that.  She calls him “one of [her] best friends,” and not only that, she shows that she knows him well enough to know why he, of all people, should not be getting married young.  “You change your phone plans every 6 weeks.”  How does she know this?  Because they kept in contact with each other.  They contact each other frequently enough for her to know that he changes his phone plan all the time.  They kept their promise!  They’re exes, yes, and there’s still tension there as we see in the end, but they genuinely do feel like friends, and not just like they’re awkwardly forcing it.
Miley is understandably pissed when he pranks her, but that’s only because she cares so much, and I do think there’s genuine concern there as a friend, even if she very likely was also jealous.  They’re comfortable around each other, they’ve gotten to know each other a lot better, and the hint that there’s still more lingering between them at the end is both promising and open-ended.  They don’t get back together right then… but they show that they could, because those feelings are still there, despite everything.
I wonder, though, if this episode would’ve worked better had it aired earlier.  We get indications that it was filmed earlier than some of the others, namely that scenes from it show up in the Opening Credits for that season, but for whatever reason, it didn’t air until much later.  I’m not sure why, but I do think things could’ve been better had they reintroduced her relationship with Jake (friendship with some lingering feelings) earlier on, had a few more “regular” episodes without him, and then given the two a proper arc later in the season rather than just one episode where they’re like, “We’re back together now!  But I also kind of like this other guy!  Oh no!” and then he’s not there the rest of the season.  But c’est la vie.
Now onto the good stuff:
“Good Golly, Miss Dolly” (Season One)
Tumblr media
Honestly, the way the entire Season 1 arc unfolds with them is so natural and beautifully done, I almost don’t feel like it’s fair to dissect them individually and split them up based on personal favorites, because they work best in order and as a unit. But I still have my opinions.
I’ve expressed previously why I love Dolly Parton’s appearance here and why she kills it, but in terms of Miley’s development with Jake, this one remains the most stagnant and frustrating. Painfully realistic, of course, and very in-character for everyone, but of all the Season 1 Jake episodes, this is the one that has the least Jake in it?  Which is not really why I’m ranking it lower, but it does put their dynamic into generic “girl clearly likes guy but is too proud and scared to admit her feelings” territory.  Which is necessary for their story to develop, but isn’t as fun as the episodes where we actually see why she hasn’t been “falling all over him” up to this point (meaning, her aversion to his personality).  And we pretty much end the episode right where we started: once again, Miley’s pining over him, wants to express her feelings for him, but feels like she can’t… only now she’s got a more solid reason not to.
“More Than A Zombie To Me” (Season One)
Tumblr media
I was torn at first between this one and the Dolly one, but I ranked this one higher for a few reasons. For one, the storyline is a bit more complex and nuanced.  Lilly teases Miley for being in denial of her feelings for Jake, Miley rejects him when he asks her out… but then Hannah Montana has to kiss him.  She makes a case for why she shouldn’t have to kiss him… only to realize she wanted to when they actually listen to her.  Jake respects her “no” and asks someone else… only for her to realize she wanted him after all.  Miley fights with Lilly for Jake’s affections… only for her to realize that her friendship with Lilly is more important than whether or not she “gets the guy.”
Beat for beat, Miley is always one step behind, not because she’s stupid, but because she has too much pride to see what’s right in front of her, to acknowledge her own feelings.  It’s not the most pleasant characterization for Miley, but it is very telling characterization, and it paints an interesting picture of her and her relationships to both Jake and Lilly— that she genuinely wants to mean what she says and say what she means, but her pride makes it harder for her to figure out what she actually wants.  She genuinely wants to be a decent, down-to-earth person, but sometimes she’s too self-centered to realize how she’s coming off and how she might be hurting others.
What’s most interesting here, though, is Lilly’s characterization and development in the Jake arc.  In this episode and the one before it, she’s among the girls who are “falling all over” Jake, even continuing to say “Sup” to him because he said it to her once like it’s their “special thing.”  She alternates between starstruck awe over Jake and amusement over Miley’s aversion to him, teasing Miley that she may be protesting too much, and shamelessly drooling all over him to Miley’s annoyance.  After this episode, we see her being the supportive friend and #1 Shipper On Deck for Jake and Miley… then firmly against Jake and Miley together after they break up the first time, and from that point on, genuinely over Jake and wanting what’s best for her best friend.
But this episode… this is where we see the switch.  This is where we see Lilly giving Miley a fair shot, then taking Jake for herself when the opportunity presents itself.  This is where we see her doing something for herself for once and going beyond that “best friend” role… only to realize it’s not meant to be. That Jake only ever had eyes for Miley. That she was the canned fruit cup he settled for after all.  It’s painful and heartbreaking, and perhaps a less strong friendship wouldn’t be able to withstand it, but theirs does.  Because Lilly does.  Because Lilly knows that whatever Miley says, being with Jake would make her happy, and Jake wants Miley more than anyone else.  And she’s willing to do whatever it takes to help them be happy together… even if it means she doesn’t get the guy herself.  I think Lilly’s role in all this is so underrated, and she deserves massive credit for the maturity and development she displays here.
And of course, we have more characterization for Jake, where he’s… very much himself, but also better than Miley initially gives him credit for.  Yeah, he’s still hiding behind his ego and bravado, and he does initially say Miley must’ve been nervous to reject him when he asks her out a second time on the beach, but we also see him accepting that she doesn’t like him back (or so he thinks).  We see that he’s sweet to Hannah as a coworker, and then he confides in her that he likes Miley because she’s “cute, funny, smart, down-to-earth,” and because she sees him as a person, not as a superstar. I do think “moving on” from Miley by asking out her best friend, right in front of her, is kind of a dick move (or possibly a jealousy play), and he could’ve made a little more of an effort to be loyal to Lilly as she was his date, rather than being so obvious that he preferred Miley, but overall, I think this is a good episode for developing Jake as someone with hidden depths, and someone Miley could realistically fall for.
(Also, the subplot is comedy gold from start to finish.)
“People Who Use People” (Season One)
Tumblr media
Their first kiss! Yeah, there’s no getting around it: this one’s amazing.  Their banter is just on point from beginning to end.  We have a continuation of Jake and Hannah’s pleasant costar relationship, a continuation of Miley’s ever-more-obvious feelings for Jake, and we have a culmination of the tension between the two in an incredible scene. Once again, this does one of my favorite things: it turns the narrative on its head.  We know Miley used Willis to make Jake jealous, but now it’s revealed that Jake was doing the same thing with Holly all along.
“Holly?  She’s not my girlfriend.  We have a movie coming out, so we’ve been hanging out, it’s a publicity thing.”
“Why didn’t you tell me that before?!”
“Uhhh… well…  I-I think I—”
“Wait a minute, I know why.  Because you were trying to make me jealous.”
“Was not.”
“Was too.  Admit it, Jake, you like me.”
“No, you like me, just say it.”
“No, you say it!”
“No, you!”
“No, you!”
*cue Big Damn Kiss*
They spar with each other like this all episode, meeting each other on the same level beat for beat. And Lilly eating popcorn in the background and falling off her chair?  Let’s not lie to ourselves, we were all Lilly in this moment.  Ultimately, this isn’t the story of “how they got together,” because Jake leaves for a movie, but even that makes some sense.  He feels good that he got to kiss her before he left and doesn’t have to wonder what it would’ve been like, she feels angry that he kissed her when he knew he’d be leaving soon, and ultimately his acting career comes before him having a normal life, as it always sort of has, which unfortunately means it also has to come before Miley.  But once again, we have an open ending, a clear “not now” rather than a “never,” and a question to be potentially answered in the future: Will They, Might They, and Would It Work Out?  And of course, what’s next?
But before we get into that, let’s talk about where it all began:
#3: “New Kid in School” (Season One)
Tumblr media
Who doesn’t love a good First Meeting, especially one that starts off with two prospective lovers starting off on the wrong foot?  What I love about them starting off on the wrong foot here, though, is that it’s not really due to misunderstandings.  On the contrary, Miley is the only person who knows exactly what’s going on— even better than Jake does, I’d argue, because he doesn’t even realize how arrogant he comes across, and Miley’s the only one willing to call him out on it.
This isn’t even particularly a shippy episode, apart from “Also, he thinks I’m cute, not that I care,” but I’d argue it’s better because it establishes them as characters first, and as Foils.  Both of them are celebrities attending normal school and who, in theory, want to be treated like normal kids, but while Jake talks the talk and still gets everything he wants, Miley walks the walk and has to lose her celebrity privileges in exchange for peace and privacy.  It’s understandable that Miley feels she’s gotten the short end of the stick, and it’s only later, after she’s opened her big mouth of course, when Jake confides in her that sometimes he really does wish he could be normal, it’s only then that she realizes she’s the lucky one.
But of course it’s not too late for her, it’s too early in the show for that!  So we see her family coming together in this hilarious scene where they pretend they’re all crazy celebrity-impersonators.  As a side note, I like to think they didn’t buy the Elvis costume for this, but that Jackson just had it lying around already and was itching for an excuse to use it.  (Maybe he was Elvis for a previous Halloween, idk.)
In any case, the reason I rank this higher is that even though it doesn’t show that Miley and Jake like each other all that much, it shows why they could like each other, which in my opinion is more important.  I mean, ideally, you’d have both, but this does a good job of introducing Jake as someone who seems like just another egotistical celebrity Miley can’t stand, but underneath that, is someone who just might understand what she goes through better than anyone, and Miley is the perfect person to understand him right back.
#2: “That’s What Friends Are For?” (Season Two)
Tumblr media
The return of not one, but two iconic guest stars in the best and worst way: together.  Months after their breakup, Miley finds Jake at her doorstep after sparring with Mikayla, and is sure he’s only there to get her back… but he just wants to be friends.  Great!  Good, no drama!  That’s exactly what she wanted… right?
Even better, he invites her on the set of a talk show so he can reveal his new movie… and his new costar, her archrival Mikayla.  The worst part is, he chose Mikayla out of courtesy.  He doesn’t know Hannah and Mikayla hate each other, because they act friendly when they’re on-camera.  He did it because he values his relationship with Miley, and doesn’t want to ruin their friendship by inviting her to play his love interest.  And Miley… well, we all know Miley isn’t as okay with this as she pretends to be, and it only becomes more apparent as the episode goes on.
What I love about this is the role reversal this puts them in.  For once, Jake is the one being mature, and Miley is the one that needs to apologize and grow, and admits it.  It’s framed that way and everything.  It’s almost bittersweet to watch, because this was such a good step for them, and probably the most mature episode involving the two. To see them go backwards in development after this, to see Jake be raked through the coals by the writers, all that good will between them forgotten and retconned and burned to hell later on, there’s just something very bitterly tragic about it.  This episode was so important for them, not just as a relationship, but as people, and I wish that good will they had towards each other had remained and gotten a proper follow-up.
Of course, this was itself an excellent follow-up to…
#1: “Achy Jakey Heart” (Season Two)
Tumblr media
Was it ever even a question? Jake Ryan returns in glorious fashion: falling from the sky, in a tux, down on one knee begging Miley’s forgiveness, with chocolates from the sky.  Say what you will, that man knows his way around a Big Romantic Gesture.  And he doesn’t stop there: muffins, “Jake steak,” a cardboard cutout, and barging in the front door in a literal knight costume, he asks what more he can do.   More importantly, he says, “You’ve dumped stuff on me, and you’ve yelled at me.  The one thing you haven’t done is tell me you don’t care about me.  Tell me that, and I’ll go away.”  Even after all this, he’s willing to respect her if the answer is “no.”  He just wants to make sure it’s “no” because she doesn’t want him, and not because she doesn’t believe he cares for her.  He does care for her, and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to prove it.
He gets tested for this pretty much right away, fails in private, and then passes in public when Miley least expects him to.  After telling Miley he can’t take her to a movie premiere because he’s pretending to date his costar, he rejects his costar on live TV to confess his love for Miley.  He doesn’t do it expecting her to come back, rather, he admits his fault and accepts that for him, there’s no happy ending.  And Miley responds in the best way possible, showing up with a “Who says real life doesn’t have happy endings?” and a Big Damn Kiss of her own.
This is also when they confide in each other.  Jake tells her his real name is Leslie, and Miley tells him she’s Hannah Montana.  They’re vulnerable with each other for the first time in their relationship, and they understand each other better than ever. Unfortunately, it’s understanding, or lack thereof, that also leads to their demise.
Jake wants to be a normal guy, or at least he thinks he does.  Miley feels to a certain extent that she is a normal girl, just a normal girl who happened to get famous.  And that disconnect, that difference hurts them.  Miley realizes that Jake doesn’t actually know what it’s like to be normal, and having to be with someone who can’t handle one night of it, as well as the pressure of being famous as Miley too, is what finally cracks them open.  I will say she could’ve handled it a lot better, and good on Jake for calling her out on her lack of communication, but in the end, their relationship is left with a mutual understanding: that Jake respects her secret, listened to what she had to say, and wants to improve.  Not so that he can get her back, but so that he can be “worthy of someone as terrific as” her.
This also has ONE OF THE BEST SUBPLOTS OF ALL TIME.  Cheese jerky?  Capitalist commentary?  Jackson rolling in money and Rico being mad about it? Oliver and Jackson doing a rap together? Are you not entertained?  Like its main plot, this does end up reverting to the status quo by the end, but it’s done in a way that’s both crushingly realistic and brutally hilarious.  Overall, this episode?  One for the ages.
Tumblr media
So there it is— every Jake Ryan episode, ranked.  I have a whole ton more I could say about Jake Ryan, Miley Stewart, and their overall dynamic (and probably will, this week lol nope), but I feel like this is a decent start that outlines my opinions in quite a bit of detail.  While not a perfect couple by any means, they sure as hell made the screen a lot more interesting.  And hey, the course of true love never did run smooth, why should they be any different?

weird question but, i hope its ok to ask advice on this one, if not thats totally ok
i was wondering if you know how to,, make friends? i joined so many chats and followed so many people but all i do is comment on their posts or just chat in the group chat. it doesnt get to the point where i pm them
while i do have acquintances in those chats that i recognise and talk to A Lot i just,,, feel like its not the same as a maybe close friendship? i dont know
i even made a friend application and talked to a lot of people but a weird situation happened where a lot of them left me on read randomly(which is ok im not mad at that) and i thought id text them later but then i didnt... so now im just occasionally dming 1 person but idk.
i dont know where im going with this but basically, i dont know how to make friends,, or how to get to the friend stage,, any tips? thank you
(please tag as frog emoji if ok)
Yeah it’s totally ok to ask for advice!
Oof,, making friends. I’ll admit that it doesn’t come to me easily either, and I especially struggled with making and keeping my friends a ton when I was younger. I hope talking about my own personal experience might help.
For me personally, when I think about who I consider a friend now, a lot of my online friends, or even my friends “from” school, are people that I talk to in Discord servers or group chats but don’t really dm. And surprisingly? I’m okay with that. I used to be at a point where I craved close friendships to the point where I was accepting treatment that wasn’t okay, but I’m not really there anymore.
And as for the people I do text or DM? Now that I think of it, all of them come from previous hobbies or interests that I don’t really do anymore.
A lot of the times, the reason I started out dming or texting people was for working on something, and not necessarily chatting. I have a friend from when I used to do activism, and we started texting to get work done. I worked with a ton of people, but I happened to click with her.
I think of that example as an “accidental” friendship, where I wasn’t really trying to get to know her, but we liked each other and became friends.
A lot of the friends I made actually came from a period in my life where I decided that I was done with my obsession with making friends, and I was going to spend some time completely alone. I talked about it here; I’d sit in an empty classroom reading during lunch and didn’t really talk to people.
Somehow, I acquired two friends I really liked during that time. From class, no less. I think part of it came from letting go of my expectations of what a friendship was supposed to look like, and being okay with being alone. One of those friends I made in a hard class where we exchanged numbers just to help each other with homework. The other I sat next to in a chiller class because no one was sitting at her table. We started chatting and I thought she was cool. I don’t really talk to either of them anymore, but I think that’s an example of how sometimes you can stumble across cool people after you stop looking for them.
I was in some online communities though, and I did tend to reach out to people a lot. Not necessarily because I wanted to be close to them, but usually because I thought they were cool or I just wanted to tell them something. Seriously, I started speaking to one of my online friends when he was asking about restaurants in my area and I didn’t feel like announcing my location in a big server. Lol.
And the thing is? The ratio of people I clicked with versus people I talked to was pretty low. If I reached out to, say, 100 people (it was less don’t worry lol), I became friends with fifteen and I’m still speaking to three.
And I’m okay with that! Since at that time, I’d “given up” on my desire for close friendships, I talked with those people just because I wanted to. And even with the people I haven’t spoken to in months, I genuinely enjoyed talking to them and I’m happy we started chatting.
I’ve also reconnected a group of online friends I first met when I was very young. I’m talking fifth grade, sixth grade age. I don’t DM any of them, but I consider it a pretty close knit group and I’m happy just talking to them through a Discord server.
Tl;dr: I personally used to have an unhealthy obsession with an idea of what I thought friendship was. In my personal experience, letting go of my need for friendship was not only freeing, but actually helped me in my interactions with others.
Of course, everyone’s different. This is my background as one neurodivergent girl who’s had specific experiences.
My question is, are you enjoying the chats you’re in? Please remember to have fun, okay? If you joined your chats or followed people with like, a specific goal in mind, you might get disappointed. But if you genuinely like interacting with them through Tumblr and through other communities, maybe that’s the type of friendship that’ll bring you the most happiness in that specific case.
When I was in fifth or sixth grade, my mom bought me a book called How to Win Friends and Influence People for Teen Girls, by Dale Carnegie’s daughter Donna. Obviously it’s targeted to a specific demographic, but I haven’t read the original and it might be a lot less accessible.
I thought it would “help” me make friends. It didn’t really; It took me many more years before I was happy with my social circle. But what it did do was give me specific stories and help me rework some of my beliefs around what friendship was supposed to be and how they start. It taught me super important things about how to admit mistakes and communicate with people. And honestly? Even though I didn’t really apply what I read until many years later, I think that information stuck around in my mind and contributed to where I am today.
Maybe it’ll be helpful to you, maybe it won’t. But I’d consider checking it out!
I hope some of this was helpful to you and I’m wishing you all the best! 💚

please now, tell me in your opinion what are the positives and the negatives of this episode?
Um... so the episode was decent, I thought. A solid episode. I was pleasantly surprised, in the sense that I went in, as I always do, skeptical, and I came out pleasantly surprised with what happened, mostly with regards to Iris really getting the chance to deal with her trauma and go through, first by burying her trauma and then slowly being okay with not being okay.
So the positives of the episode: Iris’s story, I thought, was good. I wish there was more with regards to her working through her trauma, but I hope this particular arc just doesn’t end with this episode. She said to Allegra at the end of the episode that she wants to reach more people in a big way, and so I’m curious as to what she means and how that arc will also help her heal. Candice was really, really lovely during that final scene: Iris’s voice breaking as she’s talking about what she went through, and then her finding strength and healing in those who went through something similar as her. I really loved how we got to see all these people really empathize with Iris; Iris never gets those kinds of stories, as she’s always just expected to be strong and to be okay, and it was so heart-warming.
The Westallen scenes were lovely, obviously. I loved the opening scene. “Usually we have to kiss before the ground shakes,” UM EXCUSE ME. And then when they lean back into the kiss, the lightning storm which they technically created last episode rattling outside their window. I liked the second scene at the loft in highlighting Iris and Barry ignoring their traumas. They just are so desperate to getting back to normal together, and so I liked what that scene conveyed. Also, Barry being like the dopiest in love husband is just so, so cute.
The Speed Lab Westallen scene was sweet, but I think this is sort of where we run up against the fact Iris needed that vice versa from Barry. Like this scene is so in character for Iris: she’s telling Barry that he went through this huge trauma, and that he cannot blame himself for what was done to him and how he was emotionally manipulated, and obviously there’s this sense of Iris also having to realize through the way she feels so much for Barry and his predicament and trauma that SHE cannot blame HERSELF for what she went through in the Mirrorverse. And that she has to deal with her trauma. But I would have liked a follow-up to this between Barry and Iris where Barry tells her that it’s not her fault what she went through and that he’ll be there, right by her side always, helping her through anything. Hopefully, we’ll get that in the next couple of episodes, but idk, I don’t know if we will, and it feels like this show just forgets about threadlines...
Which I guess comes to my main point which is that really while I loved seeing the portrayal of Iris dealing with her trauma, she’s dealing with it very much by herself. And to a degree it’s because she spends most of the episode having to come to the realization that she’s not okay and that she has to deal with her trauma. We really only see that towards the end of the episode, but I still think that there’s this sense that she’s dealing with this alone in this episode. It was nice to see Allegra there with her at therapy (I think Barry should have been there), but even wrt Allegra, it’s not like Allegra was necessarily someone in the episode helping Iris through her trauma. This was very much something Iris was dealing with herself. I loved the final therapy session with the Mirrorverse survivors support group because it was very cathartic, and it was really heart-warming to see so many people just empathizing with Iris and being so proud of her for working through her trauma. I just wanted to see Barry (and um... JOE... we’ll get to Joe in a moment) be there for her and help her work through her trauma as well.
Cisco and Chester are fun together. That’s a positive
Joe not caring to check up on Iris once is just... really infuriating to me. WHAT ARE YOU DOING @ FLASH TV WRITERS? Joe’s lack of care for Iris is so aggravating; like she’s been trapped for so long, and we haven’t even seen them interact since she got out of the mirror, and honest to god the misogynoir, which is narratively entrenched, most deeply affects Iris’s relationship with Joe. He’s written to be so uncaring of her in these last two episodes that I am actually flabbergasted, and i’m somebody who’s been very critical of this for seasons.
Abra Kadabra was great when he was just a chaotic villain. I’m sick of these sob stories for every villain. That man was not a hero; he didn’t die a hero. Sick of this nonsense.
I actually don’t really have any thoughts on the Caitlin and Frost split. Thought it was going to happen for a couple of weeks or so now, and I just find it funny how they do such random things with her: no build-up, just here’s the next plot development with some minor exposition next episode I’m sure.
The show once again trying to make a story about Iris and Barry’s respective traumas also about the villain and then randomly about the Team (???) is just so... annoying, please stop with this @ show. Let Iris and Barry have these stories to themselves.
There was way too much science fiction exposition nonsense in this episode.
Oh and the strength force stuff looks... interesting, but yeah again, the show is going to try and rush this story with the forces. It really needs longer than eight/nine episodes imo.
Aaaand I think I covered everything.
