Mehrunes Dagon kind of gets the rawest deal of the daedric princes, and I feel bad for him.
Dagon's not just the god of destruction, he's the god of change, he's the god of revolution (of all kinds). He's the embodiment of one of the most fundamental forces in the universe, and he's in the most thankless business in existence.
When the ayleid slaves were being broken upon the wheel, it was Mehrunes Dagon who whispered to Alessia, who gave them the strength to shatter their chains. And what did they do after all was said and done? They made a new wheel, new chains, and thanked
When a wrong is righted, it's always Stendarr who gets thanked for the justice that was served. Never Dagon for giving the courage to speak out against that injustice.
When the mountain blows its top and spews ash that settles into the soil of Vvardenfell and the crops of the dunmer grow strong and bountiful, they thank the Tribunal for the harvest, and never for the volcano that made the land fertile.
He's been there since the start, since the first daedron ate the first aedron and gave forth light. But everyone's only ever thankful for the warmth of a fire, never the fire itself. He's behind every chance ever taken, every redemption and desire to do better.
No wonder he's so pissed all the time. Has anyone ever just told him "thank you"? I doubt it.

Instead of saying "Good morning", my wife and I go straight into explanations of how badly we each slept.

meridia is homophobic. clavicus puts rainbow flags on his shrines during pride month and takes them down immediately after. sanguine is basically the patron god of being gay - this is known to the wise. now controversial take but i think azura would deadname you. she does this regularly to the nerevarine. malacath loves all his children, but especially the bears. hircine heard the word "bear" and they're a little confused but they've got the spirit. if you make a post about cannibalism as a metaphor for intimacy that is a prayer to namira. nocturnal. mephala... not actually homophobic but would out you just to mess with you. we are not discussing molag bal today. boethia is a genderfluid icon. peryite doesnt know what gay means but if you're spreading diseases its all good. sheogorath still considers gay people his children from when homosexuality was considered a mental illness. he's also happily married to haskill. i wanna say jyggalag is homophobic in contrast but hes actually very pro-homo. he wants everything to be homogeneous. mehrunes dagon... on the one hand he nearly destroyed the empire (based). on the other he tortured all those people. mildly problematic but he did make all those demons shirtless so
yeah thats all the princes right - oh wait fuck. ithelia is a terf.
edit: i literally had a list open on uesp when i was making this how did i miss TWO. this series has too many fucking daedra. anyway. remember that post about the extremely large drive filled with gay porn reviews on a charity shop computer? hermaeus mora has that now. originally i confused vaermina with namira (my bad, please no nightmares) but lets just say. she's a friend of nocturnal.

Do you remember that nightmare you had, mortal? Being chased by ravenous beasts in the middle of the night. Your breath short, your heart racing. Running. But never going fast enough. The burning in your legs starting to become unbearable. Stumbling over roots and through the brush. And despite your efforts, they are over you and as the teeth of the werewolf tear your flesh, you wake in cold sweat, heart pounding. Was it really a dream? Or did Vaermina and Hircine haunt your sleep? You will never know, even though your shoulder is still sore from the bites you swear were only in your nightmare.

Kaidan: Vaermina ey? Well that explains the horrid nightmare I had last night. Dreamt I was running through a city naked as the day I was born, nothing to cover my bits except me hands.
Taliesin: if you ever find yourself in that situation in real life and- something tells me, you have. I suggest covering your face instead of your genitals.
Kaidan: Erm, why?
Taliesin: do you want me to be honest or tactful?
Kaidan: tactful I think…
Taliesin: Your junk simply isn’t that memorable.
Kaidan: WHAT THE FUCK-

I installed a mod to make khajiit eyes glow because Sharaya's eyes barely showed up and when I took off a piece of armour her eyes disappeared.
Not the first time some creepypasta shit has happened to m through modding lol,
Tumblr media
Not sure whether to try and fix it or make it part of character lore, like she stole an artifact from a daedric prince and they took her eyes or something.
My best idea is that she spared Erandur from the vaermina quest and was stricken with nightmares the night after, her soul being sent to Oblivion but her body remained in Nirn, after some mind games and her stealing the Skull of Corruption, she was essentially Kansas city shuffled by the daedra, she tries to return to her body and wake up with the staff in tow only to find it's horns plunged into her eyes.
Cool idea, and would be a fun way to have my cake and eat it too with the vaermina quest.
Plus the idea of playing a blind archer/stealth assassin really appeals to me, that and as a double class into an Alchemist doctor/ restoration enchanter. I'm sure I could find a cool way to make her a ",third eye" with a circlet that she can temporarily magically use should the story context need it.
as much as I don't like the idea of disabled people being "cured" of their disabilities, the idea of an enchanter/Alchemist relearning their skills from scratch by smell, taste, sound, and spiritual attunement, is really fucking cool and inspiring, also ties into the whole "legendary" skill system in the game pretty nicely as well.

Made a faction for Skyrim based on the witch hunters from The Witcher and real witch hunters from the 1600s
So they are called The Witch Hunters of Skyrim aka The Witch Hunters (tho unlike Vigilants of Stendarr witch hunters that only hunt witches these witch hunters believe all magic users are witches) and they are made up of mostly Nords but there are other non Nordic humans in The Witch Hunters except for Bretons
The Witch Hunters were formed not too long after The Great Collapse of Winterhold they are a bunch of anti magic religious fanatics who worship Talos not only do they hunt mages but they also hunt any non human races as they believe them to be an abomination to Talos they also hunt Bretons due to them being half elf
They are obviously Stormcloak aligned and primarily operate in Stormcloak territory however they have been found in Imperial territory however they stay out of the cities
In Stormcloak territory they have free reign to detain any citizen they deem to be a magic user and publicly execute them in ways similar to the witch hunting methods of the 1600s
They however will not detain a jarl's court wizard without permission of said jarl but they do have schemes on attacking The College of Winterhold
Jarl Korir has given them full permission to take on The College however they have yet to do that as they know the gate will not open to them
The reason they have yet to detain Nelacar is because they think he is a Thalmor spy due to him being a high elf so they don't wanna take him out of the picture until Ulfric becomes High King so they don't tip off the Thalmor about him going missing they do not however know about Ancano
They also don't believe that Vaermina is the source of Dawnstar's nightmares and instead choose to believe that Erandur is using magic to plague Dawnstar with nightmares
Many NPCs in the base game are apart of The Witch Hunters such as Heimskr and some of the citizens (minus Benor as my HC of Benor is like how he is in Denizens of Morthal) of Morthal that don't trust the jarl or Falion and they believe Idgrod and her son to be practising dark arts but they know they can't attack them because they are in Imperial territory
They also forbid the use of any magical or enchanted items believing them to be evil
And they also believe any claims of Tiber Septim being a Breton is lies made up by The Aldmeri Dominion

The Dez Illusion / Salt in the Wound Voice Claims
youtube
THE VOICE CLAIMS ARE FINISHED FINALLY
This has been in the works for a loooong time. The hardest part was finding these DAMNED VOICES. By FAR the hardest voice to find was Rakell’s, but his game out very nicely!
Here’s some general notes I have for everyone, if you wanna read.
Erandur (Keith Szarabajka) - (TDI / SITW) No issues with his original VA. Gruff but very sweet and comforting.
Serana (Laura Bailey) - (TDI / SITW) Again, no issues with her original VA. Blunt and sassy, very capable of dry humor.
Miraak (Peter Jessop) - (TDI / SITW) I couldn’t not use his original voice, it’s just so dramatic and grumpy.
Sanguine (William Salyers) - (TDI / SITW) Originally went looking for a more smooth-talking, charming voice, but nothing I found could quite keep the same level of mischief that his og voice had. So, while I think the perfect voice is out there somewhere, og voice is still wonderful.
Ancano (Alexander Brandon) - (TDI / SITW) Love his og voice, it’s so pompous and entitled. In a perfect world I would be able to find something like this with a sailor/pirate accent, but this is pretty close.
Ego (Dan Avidan) - (TDI / SITW) When first starting this project, a bunch of buddies told me that Dan Avidan fit their voice, and it just kinda stuck lol. I think Dan’s voice works especially well in SITW, the only thing I could ask more from it is if it matched Erandur’s accent a little. But, it still adds a lovely charm and goofiness that Ego definitely needs!
Rakell (Grahame Fox) - (TDI / SITW) Like I said, my buddies and I went through a LOT of grief trying to find the right voice for him. He probably went through the most changes, from Stoic (HTTYD) to Sir Gideon Ofnir (Elden Ring). Eygon ended up being the perfect fit, with as low and growls as he was.
Iren (Richard Schiff) - (pre-TDI) What a wonderfully soothing voice, made specially to lull you into a false sense of security, but bleeding with wisdom.
Velehk Sain (Josh Keaton) - (TDI / SITW) A good commanding voice, though aired with a type of softness that he can’t seem to loose, like he’s trained his voice to be authoritative but it doesn’t always hit the mark. When it’s soft, it sounds the most natural. My only wishes are that his voice was a tad bit higher and had a pirate inflection.
Caspian (Johnny Depp) - (SITW) Wild, loud, and slurred, Captain Jack just worked so very well for Caspian.
Kyrahk (Scott Porter) - (SITW) The perfect level of arrogance, perfect vocabulary, perfect speed. His voice only throws me off because I wish it sounded a bit older or lower.
Molag Bal (Graham McTavish) - (TDI / SITW) Ironic that a vampire would voice the father of all vampires. Perfect all around, being dark, broody, and ever-intimidating, and sounds damn good when annoyed!
Mehrunes Dagon (Christopher Judge) - (TDI / SITW) Low, wise, blunt, and intimidating, very perfect for Dagon. I only wish he had a better yelling voice. While Kratos’ yells are short and change his tone, I always imagined Dagon’s yells as long and rumbly.
Hermaeus Mora (Dee Bradley Baker) - (TDI / SITW) This voice is the stuff of nightmares. Glorious.
Sheogorath (Wes Johnson) - (TDI / SITW) HE’S SHEOGORATH BABY!!
Vaermina (Ellen McLain) - (TDI) Proper and highly sassy, cruel and cold, but always sounding lovely. My only wish was to get rid of the robotic effect a little—not fully.
