Assassin's Creed characters height versus mine - Part 2

A/N: Once again in case Part 1 wasn’t seen I’m 5’7 and three quarters but I go in the 5’7 category lol. On this list I think I’m only taller than/equal in height to one person.

Kassandra of Sparta is quite tall and stands just under 6'0 tall. Looking at her I'd say she's either 5'11 - 5'12 (Longlegs could certainly be a nickname for her looolll she's tall!)

Alexios of Sparta is also just under 6'0 feet tall. Would also say he's around 5'11 - 5'12 as he and his sister stand about the same.

Leonardo da Vinci was 5'9 in real life and in the game he’s just a bit shorter than Ezio who stands at 6’0.

Adewale is said to be around 6'0 tall and we allll know that he’s taller than Edward.

Yusuf Tazim's height is unknown, but he stands quite similar in height to Ezio is known to be 6'0. Giving a guess I'd say that he's about 5'10, not quite 6’0 but still tall.

Malik Al Sayf's height is unknown, but he's not far off from Altair's height of 6'0. I'd say that he's just a tad shorter standing at about 5'10 - 5'11. Perfect height for smacking the Novice LOOOLLL

Henry Green/Jayadeep Mir is said to be 6'0 (I honestly do not know if this is accurate, but I looked it up and that's what it said). He is taller than Evie who is 5’6, and has a seemingly long and slender form so it makes sense.

Bayek of Siwa is said to be at least taller than 5'6 but no taller than 6'0 feet. The man is quite tall, so I'd say he's at least 5'9/5'10, he’s built like an Egyptian pyramid and tall like them too!

Eivor Varinsdottir/Varinsson is said to be around 5'7 (although they're head cannoned to be taller around 6’0 and plus - THO I did see one that said Eivor is around 5’6)

“C’mon, just ask me!”

You glanced at him, your lips pursed into a tight line. “No.”

“Why not?”

“Because I said no.”

Shuji pouted. “It’s just a stupid question. All you have to do is say it and that’s all.”

“You’re right, it is a stupid question.” You agreed, faking a sweet smile. “That’s exactly why I’m not going to ask it. Besides, I already know what your answer is going to be.”

He crossed his arms over his chest. “No you don’t.”

Your frown deepened. “Don’t lie to me, Shuji. It’s not attractive.”

“But you don’t! You haven’t asked the question so you don’t know what my answer is going to be!”

Sighing, you leaned back in your office chair. “You’re going to be insufferable all night if I don’t ask, aren’t you.”

“Obviously.”

Glaring, you stood up and said. “Fine.” Pointing to your chair, you snapped. “Sit.”

Excited, the frightening executive sat. “Do you have something you want to ask me?”

Placing both hands on the back rest next to his neck, you leaned in close enough that you were a breath away from his lips. “Shuji, after work, would you like dinner, a bath, or perhaps, me?”

His already eager smile stretched wider. He leaned close to you and started kissing and sucking on your neck. His hands found your waist, which he gave a teasing squeeze. You rolled your eyes at his antics.

“Oh doll, you know exactly what I’m thinking.” He muttered into your neck before giving it a teasing nip. “I want you.”

“Nope, try again.”

All of Shuji’s movements stopped. He leaned back a little to look you in the eyes, confused. You held your smirk back.

“What?”

“You heard me. Try again.”

His mouth opened and closed several times before he finally stuttered out, “Well, if you don’t want to do that, how about a bath?”

Shuji’s eyes became half-lidded again, all his dirty thoughts returning. He leaned in to kiss you. You pressed your hand against his lips to stop him.

“Nope, try again.”

“But, but, but.” He whined against your hand.

Through gritted teeth, you hissed, “Try. Again.”

He swallowed thickly. “Dinner?”

You smiled brightly and pecked his cheek, barely even touching him. “That sounds like a great idea, baby! I’ll order your favorite take out! You picked well! Thanks baby!”

As you skipped out of your office, leaving him shocked and confused, a devilish grin overtook you. It served him right anyways. If he was going to play stupid games, he was going to get stupid prizes.

Besides, you were starving!

Cleaning out my files and found this unfinished WIP~

I don't think I'll ever finish it, but I actually still like it so here yall go. Its basically an idea of some of the beyburst cast going on vacation. Wanted to write SKtrio so there's some interactions between them too. Its a few months old, like I think I wrote it in july or august, so its a bit rusty.

Hyuga raced ahead on the sidewalk, bouncing in each step with a bag in hand. He waved his hand over his head to the other two still lagging behind and cupped the other around his mouth.

“Come on guys we’re almost there!”

Even with the sun beating down on the sand-infested concrete, it didn’t seem to affect his beaming smile and energetic bouncing steps as he raced by parking lot.

 Before they knew it, Hyuga was out of sight, and Hikaru was running right behind him.

“Wait up, I wanna see too!!”

With that, he disappeared as well, accidentally dropping a bag behind him. It made a plop as it hit the stone sidewalk.  

Lane looked at the abandoned backpack and sighed. He picked it up, tossing it over the many others slung over his shoulder.

He mumbled under his breath. “Why did I agree to this?”

Still lugging forward, Lane walked forward until he eventually found where they stopped, right in front of a pay machine in front of the entrance. Hyuga was already tapping buttons while Hikaru was squinting at the words right next to it.

“I think it says we have to press-“

“It’s not doing anything!” Hikaru turned and was horrified to see Hyuga pushing every button he could see.

“Hyuga! Don’t just start pushing buttons! We have to see what they mean first." He put his hand in front of the keys. Hyuga frowned.

“They don’t make any sense! I’m just seeing what works.”

"And what if you mess something up, what then?!"

"I won’t! Don't be such a worrywart!!."

"ME-?!"

By this point, Lane already caught up them and saw a clear view of the brothers at each other necks. Unamused, he went over to see the commotion.

"What are you two arguing about now?" he said, with a slight tinge of annoyance in his voice. They whipped their heads around.

"WE'RE NOT ARGUING!”

Lane glared at them and then towards the machine sitting in front. It had a keypad with two extra buttons on the sides and fine text to the left. It looked fairly modern; unlike the ones they’re typically used back home.

"Uh-huh, move over, let me see." Hikaru and Hyuga begrudgingly moved away, allowing for Lane to carefully inspect the weird tech. At the same time, a certain brown hedgehog popped out of one of the bags’ pockets and hopped on his shoulder to look, seeming to be studying the text too.

He stayed quiet.

“YOU DON’T KNOW EITHER.” Hyuga loudly accused. Lane scoffed.

“That’s ridiculous, of course I know! Its… uh-“

Hikaru crossed his arms in annoyance.

“This is pointless, let’s just wait for the Valt and the others, he was the one who drove us here anyways, this is his job.” Hyuga turned his head from its original spot over Lane’s shoulder.

“And how long will that take?”

 Hikaru contemplated. Initially, they were all planning to head into the sandy beach together, after driving for what seemed like hours. It was Valt’s idea naturally, suggesting that they all get a break from training, so it wasn’t long before invites were thrown left and right.

The crew ended up being him, Hyuga, Lane, Valt, Free, Rantaro, Ranjiro, and Aiger.

With 8 people to go, they had to use two cars to drive them all to the destination, with Valt and Free being the two separate drivers.

When they got there, Valt admitted to having forgot to bring sunscreen, and said that he would walk to a nearby store to buy some. Free agreed to come with, wanting to buy snacks and drinks, and Rantaro as well, to get a new bag. For some reason, his had gotten completely soaked on the way there. Aiger and Ranjiro tagged along to use the restroom.

That left Hikaru, Hyuga, and Lane to enter the beach.

“They shouldn’t take too long.” Hikaru looked around the parking area. It was fairly big, with many rows of vehicles lined up on each side. Beyond that were the strips of stories dedicated to various things, mainly beach wear, but there were also a few restaurants and cafés, and the unusually out of place grocery store at the very end.

“It’s not too far, we can just wait nearby.” Lane stood up straight and glanced around the endless rows of buildings sitting around them.

“We’ll enter one of the restaurants and sit there. You can text them or something, tell em we’re waiting.” Hyuga slumped, turning longingly at the sandy hills and crashing waves. Hikaru took notice and placed a hand on his shoulder.

“We’ll be there soon, how long can they take?”

Hyuga looked up and put on a smile.

“Okay... But I’m choosing the restaurant!”

“In your dreams, that’ll be me.”

“Nu-uh Me!”

“I’m choosing it.” Hikaru and Hyuga turned to glare at Lane, who was already on his way. They chased after him.

“And why is that?!”

“Because I’m the more capable of the three of us.” He turned and smirked at the clearly riled up Hyuga, with Hikaru not to far behind him.

“That’s not true, I’m plenty capable!”

“Yea, what he said!”

“Come on I wanna pick!!”

“I said no- HEY GET OFF.”  By this point, Lane’s patience had run out, the very little he had for being low energy from the long car ride. Hyuga had grabbed on his sleeve, and was now tugging it like a spoiled kid.  

“I. WANNA. PICK!”

“WHAT PART ABOUT NO DID YOU NOT GET?!” He yanked his arm as much as he could, but it wasn’t budging. Despite being significantly shorter, the runt still clung like a parasite. To make matters worse, Hikaru seemed to have joined in too, tugging even harder until he could barely keep his balance. The bags on his shoulder didn’t help either. Which gave him an idea.

Lane threw a pack on the floor. For a moment, Hyuga and Hikaru got distracted by the thud. That gave him enough time. He snatched his arm away and bolted for the sidewalk, not bothering to turn back. Stunned, Hikaru was the first of the two to notice.

“HE’S GETTING AWAY.”

Hyuga blinked. “HEY!”

They bolted right after him. Lane cursed under his breath as he heard them not too far behind.

“TRY AND TUG ME NOW RUNTS, YOU CAN’T-”

That only got Hyuga even more riled up. “I’LL SHOW YOU WHO’S A RUNT!”

“OH REALLY NOW?”

“JUST YOU WAIT I’LL SHOW YOU!”

“I’D LIKE TO SEE YOU TRY- “

“WHAT THE-“

“ACK-“

CRASH

While turning the corner, Lane had run straight into Aiger and Ranjiro, who were just barely making their way back. He snapped back.

“HEY WATCH IT.”

“WHAT- YOU RAN INTO US!” Ranjiro shouted back.

“LANE!!” The three of them turned as Hyuga ran straight into Lane, sending them both to the ground. Aiger and Ranjiro looked down as Lane struggled to get Hyuga off him, but he wasn’t going so easily. “TAKE BACK WHAT YOU SAID!”

“Aiger! Cap’n!” Another turn revealed Hikaru running towards them, with the abandoned pack in hand. By now, the two boys were very confused.

“Hikaru, what’s goin’ on?” Aiger side-eyed the pair on the floor as Lane tried to get back up, only for Hyuga to pull him down again. Despite being clearly preoccupied, Hyuga answered back.

“HE DIDN’T LET ME PICK.”

“WHY SHOULD I? YOU’LL PROBABLY PICK MCDONALDS OR SOMETHING.”

“SO WHAT HUH? WHAT IF I DO?”

As the two continued bickering, Hikaru took the liberty of answering his question. “There’s a weird machine in the entrance, so we can’t enter.” He looked back and only now realized how far they ran. The entrance was on the completely other side of the parking lot, and they were at the second street corner out, a good 2 blocks away.

“It had like a weird keypad and some buttons.”

“Oh! It must be that thing Free told us about!” Ranjiro said. He turned over to Aiger, whose cogs were turning until a lightbulb shined on his face.

“Oh yea! He told us something like that. Like a pay machine? I don’t know, he said Valt was going to take care of it. Something about him having more brain cells.” He shrugged and crossed his arms.

“Oh.” Hikaru looked around. “Where are they?”

“Still shopping. Rantaro’s takin’ forever, so we left while we could.” Ranjiro said. “Too bad we left Valt and Free behind.” Aiger snickered.

“Yeah, sucks for them.”

Meanwhile

Valt: C’mon Honcho, the others are waiting for us.

Free: Yeah, just pick one and leave. I wanna eat...

Rantaro: SHH it needs to be PERFECT. Nothing less!

Free: … we’re never going to leave are we

The cold is sharp, each breath a huff of fog into crisp air that returns to his lungs with the pinch of a sharp blade punctuated by the crack of a thinly layered snow under black boots. They’ve been walking for days, shoulders cowed against a wind that aims to either freeze the three men mid stride or blow them all the way back to London...and each morning, waking on a hard ground that’s been painted thrice over by frost, Lucas has watched with a wary eye as their Irish companion shivers his way into clothes that never seem to be quite warm enough, arms wrapped around his middle as if willing whatever heat remains to stay within. Today is exceptionally hard - the sun hides in a cloud covered sky, allowing only the faintest edges of light to filter through branches heavy with snow and Killian’s cheeks are pale and tinged with the pink of a bitter wind no matter how he laughs and tries to pretend he’s as warm as the man who currently walks beside him. 

Lucas leads the small group, brows furrowed in a scowl of deep thought as teeth nip at the frozen skin around the edge of his bottom lip. He wonders if they’ll find a village before the meager light fades, wonders if he’ll be able to convince his stubborn brother and his equally as tenacious tornado of a companion to get a room for the night. One hand, buried in the shelter of his coat pocket, thumbs at the small bit of money he has stowed away. It’s not enough for two rooms, not if they plan on eating again in the next few days... but one, for the two of them...

He has only the barest of seconds to realize he’s stopped being able to hear the low murmuring of the men behind him before a solid thwack leaves a patch of dampness in its wake and he turns, stormy blues seeking out the gaze that is always unnervingly familiar. Guy is grinning, watching Lucas with a cock of his head while Killian stands apart, head swinging from one to the other .. and briefly he wonders if the Irishman’s surprised expression resembles his own. There’s a beat of his heart  - one, then two... - while the entire forest seems to hold its breath. He isn’t sure what it expects, what they expect ... but he bends down, features as implacable as always, and then the peace they’ve somehow found explodes in a battle of snow, well fought. Later he’ll curl up somewhere alone, close enough to the fire not shift into a block of ice but far enough that the other two still get to enjoy their world for two that they’d carved without him. Later, he’ll replay every shout, every laugh .. he’ll close his eyes and let the memory of this fill all of those shadowed places that leave a bite far greater than that of the razor-edged wind.

Later, he thinks as a carefully thrown palmful of snow lands with alarmingly good aim against his brother’s chest. Killian’s laugh and appreciative whistle is a surprise, as is the high five he offers ... and Lucas meets it willingly, smiling with an ease that almost frightens him. I’ll worry about that later.

“Soo, you like him?”

“Yes. No—I don’t know!”

The question was simple, but you felt that it was frustratingly difficult to answer. You have known him for a long time; he was your childhood friend—used to be, anyway. There were times that you spent together running around the woods, getting lost between the bushes while the adults were busy with their own affairs. There were times that you spent training together, swinging toy swords and axes and wooden balls and making some good laughs out of them.

“I would like to marry you when we grow up.” You told him when you were five and he was eight, still with your innocence and naivete without any understanding of the weight of such words.

You remembered it very well, because it was a fond memory that you never wanted to let go.

You sat on the edge of the lake, hugging your knees close to your chest. “You know,” You leaned your head on them and turned to the woman sitting next to you, “when we were children, I told him I want to marry him when we grow up.”

She stifled a laugh when the confession left your lips. “Knowing him, I think at least three or four other women would’ve told him the same thing.”

A sad smile formed on your lips. You knew, of course you knew. There must be others that woo him—to get him to bed them, or at least to notice them. He was respected, reputable, and strong; who wouldn’t want to be able to proudly call him theirs?

“I know. It’s the reason why I tried not to have feelings for him.” You told her, shifting your gaze to the calm waters that reflected the shining sun on them. “Not anymore, that is. Eivor the Wolf-Kissed is too important for everyone—for all of us, now that he is our Jarl.”

Though it pained you to your bones, you believed that what you were doing, you did it to rid him of an unnecessary agenda.

It takes longer than usual for the quiet sound of Loki’s footsteps to come padding down the hallway. 

Typically, he’s like a moth to a flame from the minute your mixing bowl hits the countertop, unable to resist the baked goods that it promises. He’ll linger like a shadow around the kitchen under the guise of “assisting” when you know what he’s really doing is waiting to assault the baking tray as soon as it leaves the oven. Your lover has the most ferocious sweet tooth out of anyone you know, and where raw cookie dough is, Loki isn’t too far behind. 

Today, though, the apple pie you’re baking is already browning and you’ve moved on to scooping out the mixture for a dozen cupcakes - cupcakes that you’re only baking because you know they’re his favourite - when he rounds the corner, looking effortlessly beautifully even in a pair of plaid pyjama bottoms and a black sweater. 

You hear his appreciative inhale of the air that’s sweet with the scent of pastry and vanilla. “Have I died and arrived in Valhalla?” His deep voice rolls over you like liquid silk, and he’s swiftly crossing the small space of the kitchen to easily mould himself against your back and loop his arms around you. 

There’s nowhere else on earth you’d rather be. Not when his arms have become your safe space and his laughter is now your favourite sound. Not when…well…

You push your hips back gently against his. “Took you long enough to notice,” you tease him, whacking his hand away when he tries to dip a finger into the raw cupcake mix. 

Rascal.

His laughter rumbles against your back and, god, the sound of his joy is so infectious that you find you can’t help but secretly grin. “Darling, the last time you baked, you explicitly told me that if I continued to bother you, you would beat me with your rolling pin.” 

With a quiet “tut” and shake of your head, you continue to smooth out the last of the batter into the little paper stands. “You know I wouldn’t actually beat you with a rolling pin, dummy.” 

I love you too much. You want to add. 

“That’s not a chance I’m willing to take,” he teases back, but then lightly kisses your temple. “What’s on the menu today?” he then asks, resting his chin on your shoulder. 

You wriggle back against him. “Apple pie because it’s almost Halloween, and peanut butter and chocolate cupcakes because…because I know they’re your favourite,” you reply, trying to sound casual while scraping the last bit of batter off the spoon. 

He’s never told you outright that they’re his favourite, but you’ve noticed. You know that he prefers to shower at night and that he’s grown fond of sitcoms. You know that he hates green peppers but could eat an orange one whole. You know that he’s not ready to talk about the nightmares that have him waking in a cold sweat, but that he’ll relax instantly when you twist yourself around him beneath the sheets. 

You know that you love him. 

The three words have been on the tip of your tongue for weeks and you want to tell him, but you don’t and you haven’t because what if…

“I love you,” he murmurs gently into your hair. It’s soft and simple and filled with so much truth that your heart swells in your chest.

How long has he known?

Gently, he takes the utensils from your hands and pulls you around to face him. His eyes are glittering like stars as he looks at you, like he can read the secrets of the universe between each line on your face. 

“I love you,” he repeats, placing his palms on each side of your face and tracing gentle lines with the pads of his thumbs.

He’s smiling down at you and you know he’s been wanting to say those three words for as long as you have. Happiness is flowing through every vein that this beautiful man loves you back, and with three words your heart and soul are his for as long as he’ll have them. 

Your voice is shaky when you speak, but you have no idea if you’re laughing or crying. “Thank god. Because I love you too.” 

You’ll love him with everything you have, until your lungs give out and the stars fall out of the sky.

You and Sasaki were sitting in a field as usual, resting after a fun-filled day. Sasaki was gently rested against the large oak tree, his eyes closed. The gentle breeze pushed his hair, the grass around him following suit.

His eyes fluttered open as you stood up from your sitting position, standing infront of him in the sun. Your eyes were wide and full of playfulness.

“Mister Sasaki..! Wake up!”

He smiled, sitting up.

“I’m up kid, i’m up.. Are you ready to head back home?”

He watched as you grabbed his hands, trying to pull him off the ground.

“Yes yes! I want a piggyback ride!”

“A piggyback ride? Oh lord, kid..”

He chuckled and stood up, walking over to you. He soon squatted down, waiting for you to hop on his back. He and you laughed and laughed as you rode on his back all the way back home.

The large Demi god stopped in his tracks, looking over his shoulder to see you running towards him. Your bright smile and small legs hurdling towards him. He was quick to turn around, squatting down to your level.

“Hey kid!”

He opened his arms wide, pulling you into a tight hug. Hercules stood up, spinning you around in a circle before setting you down.

“Miss Hilde told me where to find you!! I haven’t seen you ALL DAY and i miss you!”

He chuckled at your antics, your slugged down, rolling your eyes about how long it had been since you had seen the god. You quickly made ‘up oy’ hands towards Hercules.

“I wanna be with you! Can have a piggy back ride?”

He smiled and nodded, grabbing you swiftly and setting you on his shoulder.

“I know this ain’t a piggyback ride, but it’s just as cool!”

Adam walked around Eden with you, you both holding baskets of fruits. You both had been roaming around, feeding animals and having fun in Eden. Adam noticed you getting tired over time, slowly trudging behind him in the fields.

He looked down at you as you slowly trudged up the hill, your forehead covered in sweat.

“Mhm.. i’m.. im okay..”

Adam waited patiently for you to catch up to him, his hair swaying in the wind. As you met him at the top of the hill, you sat the basket in your hands down. You took a deep breath, sitting down in the grass.

He blinked at you a couple times, before squatting down next to you.

“We only have a bit longer til we see Eve. Can you make it?”

You slowly looked up at him, your eyes heavy and exhausted. You shook your head, wiping sweat from your brow.

“Can.. Can i have a piggyback ride Mr Adam..?”

He stared at you slightly before obliging. He sat you snugly on his back, carrying you the rest of the way back to the house.

He heard your pleas, his feet stopping completely. He turned to face you, his eyes looking down on you.

He cut you off, kneeling down to match your height.

“Mister Hades- can.. can i have a piggy back ride?”

His brows furrowed slightly, before he slowly nodded. He helped you on his back, then proceed through the halls to helheim.

“Yes.” You nodded. “I finally know what kind of pet I’m going to get.”

“And that would be?”

“I’m getting a cat.”

“Ah.” He went back to organizing the inventory.

You frowned. “What’s that supposed to mean? Besides, I thought you would be more excited for me. You love cats.”

He stared at you. “It took you four months to decide on a cat?”

Leaning over the counter you tried to smack him, but he just scooted away. “Hey!  There are a lot of different kinds of cats out there. I have it narrowed down to one specific type.”

Kazutora didn’t answer you, causing you to pout. He groaned. “Fine. What type?”

“A black cat!”

“Wow. So original.”

“Kazutora!”

He held up his hands to keep you from trying to hit him again. “Alright! I’m sorry! So where are you going to get this black cat?”

“Well this is a pet store, isn’t it?” You giggled. “Besides, Chifuyu was telling me all about this cute black cat here-”

“Wait, are you talking about Inky?”

You frowned. “Well, I was going to call him Midnight.”

Kazutora rolled his eyes. “That’s such a stereotypical name for a black cat.”

“And Inky is any better?”

He paused before folding his arms over his chest. “Either way, you can’t adopt him.”

Your jaw dropped again. “And why not?!”

“Because he’s mine!”

“Did you adopt him?”

“I don’t have the money for that!”

“So he’s not yours!”

Kazutora’s glare turned deadly, but you were one to back down. “He’s mine.”

“No, he is not!”

“They’re right, he’s not. He’s theirs.” Chifuyu stated, a cat  carrier and manilla envelope in his hand. He smiled at you. “All the paperwork is in order and the microchip is activated. Midnight is all yours.”

As soon as you placed your hand on the handle, Kazutora slapped your hand away. However, his glare was fixated on Chifuyu. “How could you do this to Inky? To me!”

He frowned, unimpressed by his tantrum. “You don’t have the money to buy him and they did. They used that money to buy Midnight, and now he’s theirs. That’s how business works.”

“But he’s mine!”

Chifuyu groaned. “Oh my God, you’re so annoying. Besides, aren’t the two of you friends? It’s not like you’re never going to see him again.”

Within an instant, Kazutora’s attention was back on you, but he was no longer glaring. He grabbed your hand and exclaimed, “I need to be there for everything! Every milestone, every step, every cute thing that kitten does! I have to be there!”

“I don’t know-”

“Just say yes.” Chifuyu butted in. “He’s going to be insufferable otherwise.”

You sighed. “Fine. We can co-parent as long as you admit he’s 75% mine.”

Welcome to the June 2023 wrap up! Tears blur their vision as they sob pathetically as sorrow and guilt rack through their body. “No, no. This is not supposed to happen. It shouldn’t have gone this way… Please, don’t go, MC. Don’t leave me…”

Santana

“It’s over, MC… You can finally be at peace. Please, tell your dad I said ‘hi’. And maybe one day, I’ll meet you there,” they choke through their tears as they smooth your hair out of your face.

Skylar

“No, no! Don’t go, yet. We’ll go there together one day, but not today, please… I can still save you,” they mutter over and over again as they carry you in their arms, flying over the city, desperately trying to reach the nearest hospital quick enough.

Luka

This must be another nightmare. He refuses to believe that this is happening. That he is going to lose another loved one. In his arms. Again.

But yet, the stickiness and warmth of his nephew’s/niece’s/nibling’s blood on his hands are very real. Taking them in his arms, he whispers hoarsely and urgently, “No, no, MC. Stay with me, please. Hang on just a little longer. I’ll save you. This time, I will save you…”

He closes his eyes and forces himself to focus on picturing his destination. Sterile white floor, the smell of the antiseptic, the click-clack of shoes on the linoleum floor and the faint beeping of machines, and the air of sombreness surrounding the waiting room.

He feels a pull and when he opens his eyes, he’s in the middle of the floor, still cradling his nephew/niece/nibling in his arms. A few shocked gasps and shrieks before the nurses quickly rush towards them. He should be relieved that it works, but he can’t ignore the growing pit in his stomach that says that he’s too late. That his nephew/niece/nibling is already gone and that he has failed. Again.

Is this what Hell is? To constantly relive your greatest pain and failure over and over again until you snap.

Jackal

He tried. God knows he tried to save Luka’s nephew/niece/nibling… But he can see that it’s too late; there’s nothing he can do even with his haemokinesis.

“You did good, kid. It’s done. You can rest easy now. And don’t worry about your uncle… I’ll make sure to take care of him, alright?” he whispers hoarsely, heart sinking as he sees the light leaves their eyes. He gently closes the eyelids, sighing as he braces himself to deliver the bad news to his boyfriend. It won’t be pretty. He can only hope that his support would be enough for Luka.

Grandpa

Death. Once again. A familiar face. A curse. A plague that plucks his family away from him one by one until it’s only the husk of what it once was. First, they came for his oldest son. Then, his wife. And now, even his grandchild is not spared from their cruel indifference.

Patting their head one last time, he whispers hoarsely, “You’ll be one of the greatest Einherjar that have ever graced the halls of Valhalla, my grandchild. Please, tell your father that I’m sorry and that I love him…”

Even though tears trail down his face, he can only feel the numb pain and bone-deep tiredness as he lose yet another family member. Still so young too… He would’ve gladly died in place of his grandchild. But Death is a sadist bastard.

He wonders how long it would be until his other—and only—son is taken from him? Until he’s the only one left wandering this earth all by himself. Is it then and only then that Death will finally show him some mercy and decide to take him too?

Pavel Ivanovich Morozov has never been a religious man, unlike his father before him. But if Hell is real, then surely, this will be it.

Takashi

Takashi’s heart sinks as he kneels down and grabs the young Morozov’s hand comfortingly. “It’s done, MC, you have avenged your father’s murder. I pray you find peace now. And if you meet your father, tell him… tell him that I said ‘hi’… You can rest now,” he says softly, words choked.

As he sees the light leaves those familiar eyes, he couldn’t help but feel that the last trace of Viktor has also left the world. He lets out a bitter laugh. He’s truly pathetic, isn’t he? He couldn’t even do anything to save the child of the man that he loved-and still does to this day.

So I haven't been able to play AW2 myself yet but I watched multiple playthroughs and videos etc. But I always liked Saga's sections becos it lets you explore Watery & Bright Falls and I just rly love all the interactions u can have and even just observing the odd NPCs that inhabit these towns is super fun and intriguing <3

It kinda left me thinking a lot about these characters and their daily lives, how they interact together etc.

Which is why I think I rly like writing about them too and reading about some of the rarepairs and slice of life fics <3

(This might be the first game where I think so much about the minor NPCs, usually I remain focused on the main cast in a game/movie)

I've written a whole bunch of fics and drabbles and since it usually revolves around the Koskelas, I often add "OCs" to fill up the town.

Giving NPCs names gives them a bit more substance. Sometimes I keep the same names and characters through different fics that arent even related or set in the same AU.

Like, the Laughing Näkki shop you see in Watery? It's owned by Finnish couple Katja and Hannu.

In the alternate reality where Saga lived in Watery, they were always delighted for her and Logan to visit their shop.

In the Valhalla Nursing Home I added 3 cut characters back in: 3 elderly ladies who watch the koskela ads in their spare time and may or may not be having a crush on them.

There are Kalevala Knights who miss Jaakko so they sew on memorial patches to their jackets.

Watery used to be a thriving fishing place and lumbermill spot. The men working there inspired and aspired the Koskelas as young boys.

I'm reading the fic Momentum by Deafleader on ao3 and they've given various Cult of the Tree members names and personalities and **chefs kiss** I love when that happens. It makes the stakes feel even more real and the whole town comes alive.

@autisticwriterblog Ahti/Norman Saga also sheds fun perspectives into these characters' lives.

I also loved the friendship between Rose and the Koskelas in @entropicquilibriumofchaos works, giving u more insight on the festivities around Bright Falls etc.
