Xiyu's tumblr would be so funny. Tan, charcoal grey, light green, light blue, and white as the color scheme. It starts off minimalist & "~aesthetic~" with just a left sidebar and a one-column scroll. Simple bio. Totally dedicated to posting her poetry. And then as it gets popular, it pivots into a writing help askblog of sorts. She's put her truncated FAQ as the right sidebar (with a link to a miles-long, hyper specific FAQ) and like the status of her inbox and what requests she's open for. Occasionally she reblogs her friends' calligraphy. and you Know she's got a dedicated tagging system. I would say she goes off in the tags but she doesn't hide ANYTHING in the tags. Elle's blog would be all blurry, low to the ground, kind of strange photos scanned from instant camera prints. They're both kind of unsettling in their contextless nature but also sort of whimsical and charming. 5. If you could make only one of your OCs popular/known, who would it be?

This is SUCH a hard question. Because like. On the one hand, of course I want to make my OCs known because I love them to death. But at the same time I just. I WORRY about them being tossed to the dogs. I'm going to say probably Ora since I've developed her the most and she could hold her own against anyone who would be weird about her.

A Man On Fire - Chapter 36

“Nooooo, I don't want to get out in the cold anymore, let's stay here forever” she whined as Jared got up and held open her coat for her, “ok, stay here where it's busy and crowded, or sacrifice half an hour and walk ourselves warm to end up in our cosy, warm room with comfortable couches and a ridiculously warm and soft bed?”. Harper rolled her eyes “You don't play fair” she sighed, “all is fair in love and war” he grinned and grabbed her hand as he guided her out of the coffeeshop where the icecold and windy street greeted them. “So, going home..that's quite a big deal, are you absolutely sure you want to do this?” he put his arm around her shoulder and held her tight to his side walking down the street, “yep..it's not that I want to, but I need to know..I need to know why they hate me so much..why they always treated me differently than my siblings” she sighed deeply, her warm breath mixing with the cold air formed a foggy cloud “it's not gonna be your average 'meet the parents' moment, I can tell you that much”. The despair in her voice was almost unbearable “I think it's real brave what you're doing” he squeezed her shoulder “so any tips on what aristocratic families do these days? Maybe I should get into golfing or cricket or something? I want to blend in because I don't think your parents will be expecting some long haired musician/actor as their son-in-law”. Her hiccuping burst of laughter wrapped a warm blanket around his heart “son-in-law? Uhm no, my parents certainly won't be expecting that, ohh wait, maybe we should tell them we're married, they'll go ballistic!” she kept on giggling. “And you? What do you think about marriage?” he blurted out, he needed to know, Harper stopped in her tracks all serious of a sudden “Marriage? Nothing but heartache and misery, I swore to myself a long time ago that I'll never be nobody's wife, I've never felt the need to be ayone's possession which is basically the definition of marriage, isn't it?”.

Jared didn't know whether to hug her or be dissappointed, he'd never given marriage any thought but hearing her say the word, triggered something hidden deep inside of him, what would it be like to grow old with her? it definitely wouldn't be boring, on the contrary, it would be adventurous and very rock 'n roll, he could actually see his unborn children in her eyes, really beautiful kids if they looked like their mama. “Yeah, I guess it is..do you make any distinction though between marital possession and sexual possession?” he pulled her against his body with a very dirty grin, “now you're talking! I'll always submit to such an exquisitely skilled lover of your caliber, although I think you're holding back where I'm concerned, I think there's so much further you want to go where sex is concerned, don't you? Let's say that I'm convinced you're into something a whole lot more kinky than just spanking my ass” she wiggled her eyebrows. Why not push all my fuckin' buttons at once, you little minx? Dingdingdingding! “oh really? You're convinced, huh? Well, that's for me to know and for you to find out, so if I were you, I would get that sexy ass to our bedroom RIGHT NOW!” those last shouted words made her giggle “ohhhh goodieeee” she clapped her hands in delight, wasn't she just amazing? A girl that was so excited and looked forward so much to getting thrown and pushed around a room and a bed was an absolute keeper, his heart beat so hard in his throat and his groin ached behind the zipper of his trousers seeing her giggle and skip away from him, he quickly caught up with her breaking down in a fit of laughter when he saw her lose her balance on another strip of ice.

'Bang' went their erotic bubble the minute they set foot inside the hotel, “there you are! We've got a million interviews lined up, you should be glad someone around here remembers the PR” Shannon came stomping over to them. Harper hung her chin against her chest, she just couldn't get a break around here, could she? All she wanted was to get some much needed lovin' from her man, who had kept his distance last night too, bleeegghhhhhh, what did a girl have to do round here to get fucked senseless??. “Sorry, I have..” he scrunched up his nose, feeling absolutely guilty as he cupped her face, “it's ok..you have a job to do, I understand” she tried not to pout, “I'd love it if you came along” he tried to twist her arm. “You kiddin? Get out into that cold again? nope, na-ah, no sir, no way” she shook her head trying to keep it light and funny between them, “alright, why don't you go warm up the bed then, be back late afternoon, we'll have some time together before the show” he whispered. “I don't want to be a wet blanket, but..” Shannon moved closer trying to get their attention, Harper took a step back and mouthed a silent 'go, it's ok', “alright, alright, ok, lead the way Mr. PR-man” he growled at his brother as he reluctantly turned on his heels and followed Shannon out with a sigh, signing to her to keep in touch during his absence. Ok..what to do? More coffee? Ugh no, her blood pressure was through the roof more than enough already, go to a museum? Nope..out of the question she went out into that cold again, then what? Read a book! Yessss, perfect idea, she hadn't read ever since she got to Europe, Jared and her job here had absorbed most of her free time, curl up under the covers and get lost into another world, she asked her key and almost ran to the elevator.

Oh those dreadful interviews with their copy/paste questions, he hated how he had always thrown up a wall around his personal life in the past, because right now he wanted nothing more than just talk about her, then he wouldn't miss her as much, hold it, hold it, hold it, take a step back, you are not turning into one of those ugly codependent couples you hate so much! You are so not! Fuck it, yes I am, ok ignore and focus back on the question and the interviewer, hope it's better than those ugly glasses she's wearing. 'Beep', no, focus on the question, before they think you're an absolute asshole, oh sod it they already think that anyway, he dug his phone out of his pocket and kicked Shannon's leg to answer the next question, he had a mail to read and that was far more important right now.

i’ve received a few asks wondering why i haven’t been all that active on tumblr the last few months and instead of answering the few that are sitting there, i thought it may be easier to make a post ❤

so, to start things off, i’m working ~part-time~ at a coffee shop right now. by part-time, however, i very much mean i am working full-time, but without the benefits (i.e. insurance, paid vacation, etc. that all the full-timers get). i don’t get my schedule for monday-sunday until the thursday beforehand. that makes it very difficult to plan ahead and figure out where my free time is so. it’s frustrating and tiresome and there is a very very veryveryveryvery good chance i will be giving my two weeks’ notice sometime in july because i quite literally cannot handle this anymore, especially with what i have going on.

my little sister graduated high school this year which is very exciting, but also means we have been consumed with all those last-month-of-grade-school festivities she’s had as well as graduation itself and her grad party. she now is turning eighteen in a little over a week so we are back onto the party planning less than a month later, only this time for a big birthday. my dad’s birthday is also tomorrow, coincidentally on father’s day this year, so we’ve been planning that as well.

i’ve been running. so much. i’m running about 15-20 miles per week (though this week has been an anomaly as it’s been a much needed rest-week and i’ve only ran 5 miles, but whatever). on top of the running i’ve also been doing my own grocery shopping, meal planning, and meal prepping to make sure i’m getting the right stuff in my body to keep up with the mileage and the races i’m training for. it’s been amazing and life-changing, but it’s also fairly time consuming.

i have done a lot of thinking this last year on what i want to do with my life and, as of last week, i have officially been accepted into a teaching license program at a nearby college and will start this fall in becoming a high school english teacher!! it’s very exciting and i’m setting up a meeting with my new adviser for sometime next week. but! that means i’m going back to school! i might die! but it’ll be okay!

on a more somber-ish note, i’ve lost a lot of interest in spn over the last year or so. the show quality is saddening and the js are so quiet during hiatus that it’s hard to stay excited all the time. ofc i’m going to be watching this final season now that it’s been announced and i will forever&always have the biggest place in my heart for jensen and jared. i totally believe quiet is a good thing for them, but that doesn’t make it easy to look forward to content as it’s few and far between. i think the only j2 fanfic i’ve read in the last year has been keeping up with the underneath it all ‘verse which is very much a verse i will follow until it is 10000% finished by the author and then i will be doing a very significant reread because. brilliance. utter brilliance.

there’s also been a lot of time dedicated to reading and reading fanfic. it’s been so nice, so therapeutic, but, as you all know, time-consuming as our fanfic authors are out there writing 300k stories half of the time. it’s amazing. i’m also writing more than usual but ofc that means i’m writing maybe two stories every year, which is nothing so :))

and! as of last month, i’ve also been planning a vacation to italy for myself! i should be getting my butt over there sometime in 2020 and i’m literally going to sob.

so, yes, i’m sorry for the inactivity. i try my very best to keep my queue up and running, though my dedication there is slacking so badly atm, and i desperately need to go through my askbox and answer some things, i know i know i know. i thank you all for your patience and your support and your continued following despite my hopping around to a multitude of interests. you’re all wonderful and i still, even after all these years, find it odd that people have any kind of interest in me whatsoever.

edit: oh i also forgot to mention the car accident i was in back in april that very much gave me nightmares and whatnot and now!! a car payment!! yay!

5. I am not going to try to pass judgment on what you "should have" done. That's not productive. I don't like the phrasing of this question and didn't notice that until just now. However, the fic I'm most proud of and would really like people to read is Morality Is Grey. Most likely, though, everyone who follows this blog has already read that and is now passionately glaring at me through the screen to stop doing fic asks and start drafting.

It's just...being difficult. It's a big scene and the transition is being a bitch and I'm having to choose between creating a monster chapter that's way too long or a semi-awkward transition that doesn't entirely flow so I can have a chapter break. Plus, just...the holidays suck and I'm anxiously awaiting good news. Any good news. Literally anything. The tiniest nugget of an emotional break. Universe, I am begging.

19. First and foremost, I'm not here to tell anyone to stop writing what they like. However, I've grown...very, very tired of most romance tropes. Fake dating, Soulmate, One Bed, Coffee Shop...all of it. I recently realized I was aromantic and it gave me this stark wakeup call that I just...don't really belong in fandom space? Or fictional spaces at all? I'm not welcome. There's this passive antipathy that I run into wherever I go. I know it's not conscious or deliberate, but there's a lot of fanfic tropes that are very amatonormative and aphobic (soulmate AUs, ninety-nine out of a hundred, Hanahaki, even fake dating because it just kinda feels more realistic to me for an aro person to be looking for a fake partner to make the world shut up).

Obviously I don't want gay fanfiction to go away. God knows it's the only place we're getting our rep most of the time. It's just tiring to see it everywhere and so much. I feel inundated even in fandoms like Sanders Sides that are inherently romance- and sexless. Which isn't a bad thing. I'm not here to police what you write. I don't want you to stop writing things you enjoy, and I recognize that I belong to a very small percent of the population and most people think romance is really sweet, and sometimes it is. A well-written romance that starts as a friendship first is something I can enjoy, but usually not for the romance element. Just for the emotional intimacy and the support.

I might be inviting a lot of aphobia for this. I will block anyone who gives me shit. Unfortunately I have to say that given how many exclusionists seem to think I'm a psychopath (meaning the colloquial, non-clinical use of the term to mean someone who hurts people without emotion or empathy).

43. Basically anything that involves emotionally battering my characters? I'm also very, very, very, very veryveryveryvery fond of found family, but when actual legal adoption or the closest to legal adoption available are elements. Not just "oh, we're a misfit family that still call each other friends," like literally "this is my child/sibling/parent." No biological relation whatsoever and they couldn't care less. You are part of my plan and I will literally end the world to make you smile. That is my shit.

Also I'm going to get drawn and quartered for this but I kind of really enjoy miscommunication. It's fun to write characters being such dumpster fires they can't even communicate properly and then literally beat them into submission by making them deal with the consequences of their failures until they actually talk (AKA literally the entire MGTBW series).

What are some interesting things about Brainiac 5? I never heard of him and I’m curious about him.

I’m not sure if these are necessarily interesting, but here’s some basic info about our nerdy green friend:

Stuff about Querl Dox, AKA, Brainiac 5

- He’s a member of the Legion of Super Heroes- He’s from the planet Colu- His superpower is that he’s very, very, veryveryveryvery smart (Twelfth-level intellect, I believe is the classification–humans in the DC Universe are typically at level six, and the average Coluan is a level ten.) - A descendant of the original Brainiac*, Querl turns to hero work to atone for his ancestor’s misdeeds- Invented the Legion Flight Ring and anti-lead serum that saved Mon-El- Pretty sure I remember Brainy playing DnD with a couple of other Legionnaires- Has a big ol’ crush on Supergirl- Depending on the continuity, he can be a bit arrogant and/or unhinged- Sometimes he has a space monkey- Wears a force field belt (that he built, natch)- I double checked and yes, Brainy does play DnD

There’s more, obviously, and again, depending on the version you’re dealing with, these items can change/differ. But those are the main points that I could remember off the top of my head–hopefully it was kinda interesting! :D

- at the end of basketball they were all sabotaging binu and throwing the balls at them and at the end they had a mini dodgeball game with them it was Aggressive & Adorable

- ramyung is truly such a rare but beautiful duo and i love them dearly

- eunwoo roasted us he was like “you all can sing You & Me but don’t know the dance!!!” it’s what we deserved

- jinjin calling himself the top visual the whole night WE ALL AGREE

- their ending ments 😭😭💓💓 SO heartfelt and beautiful

- eunwoo said (in english) that he was so grateful and surprised to know that they have so many people that love them all around the world

i remember that there is a dialogue ingame between ignis and prompto (i think? i cant remember) about why ignis likes to cook (or something similar) and iggy says something about he likes to watch people enjoy his food/pleasing them. so if you combine that with "cooking NOT being his passion" makes it even more sad since after going blind, ignis cant even see people's expressions. although if u want to keep it somewhat happy then maybe iggy learns to read people's emotions through their voice.

I am so upset because this is so true.

If cooking is nowhere near to being his passion, then maybe making others happy/satisfied is a little bit closer, what with him being and wanting to always be of service and aid. Perhaps it’s born from his own wish of making Noctis happy/satisfied, that of enjoying to see other people react as pleased. So it only makes sense that the part he enjoys most of cooking is looking up from his dish to see what people think of his cooking.

And it’s not that he’s pleased because that means he did a good job, he’s pleased because that means the other people are happy with the result. All this, of course, I theorize, not canon-ify, just a reminder.

So his ‘accident’ is quite the worst way of harming him because he wasn’t only taken from daily things like driving, it also took him from cooking and his liking of seeing people’s reactions.

He has no passion of his own, which is sad enough, but to also take the little things he does enjoy to some point from him?

Square Enix is the devil, or whoever wrote his story, or whoever came up with the damn brilliant idea of doing that to him. :’(

I do believe he becomes very, very, veryveryveryvery sensitive to his other senses when he’s 32, the sort of not even needing to hear somebody standing nearby to know where they are. I mean, he does fight amazingly, so it only makes sense he can sense around (alike to but not the same to Avatar’s Toph Bei Fong, if you’ve watched the series. Maybe not sense it through the earth’s vibration, but, and I’d dare say, by the ‘heat’ each body produces. He IS fire sensitive himself, so it could make sense).

So it also makes a lot of sense to think he can /sense/ people’s reaction to his cooking. Not needing words or sounds; he just /feels/ how they react before they can say anything.

Which is kind of not so tragic...but still makes me sad :’)
