The Tragic Story Of Tiny Tim and Tiptoe Through The Tulips
This song is not just famous on TikTok and it's not creepy. It's cult. Its story is tragic though.

Why do you hate the Daisy Bell animation so much? Just curious
Because it feels like it desecrates the song, not to mention that it just feels rushed to me
It desecrates it by being filled with so much unnecessary gore, the original song was a love song, and the song had so much cultural significance to vocaloid, as the first computer to "ever sing a song" used that one, and that was the version Mob used for that video, it had no need to be considered "creepy"
It's like how people relate Tiny Tim's "Tiptoe Through The Tulips" with the film Insidious just 'cause it was in the movie, and it makes me sad 'cause it really shouldn't be that way (especially in that example, his music is really pretty and shouldn't be just known for being in a crappily written horror film). It's the same thing with this song
The background noise with the baby crying throughout adds to this as well. It felt totally unnecessary and ruins the atmosphere for me
The animation is... Fine? But it's repetitive, mainly just William laughing or his pupils moving around. You could consider it mostly just a slideshow, except with glitch effects instead of fade transitions (in which... Yeah, there's a few fade transitions in the end as well), which is why I consider it rushed
... That's why

New Bern, NC — VoicePlay live performances
Even as they were swiftly approaching the completion of nearly 100 shows at Disney World for the season, VoicePlay popped up to North Carolina for a full holiday concert on the weekend before Christmas.
.
youtube
With the amount of travel Americans tend to do between Thanksgiving and Christmas, this comedic medley is extra relatable during the holiday season. If only all of our family sing-a-longs sounded this good.
Details:
title: Road Trip
original songs / performers: [1:27] "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" by Tiny Tim; [1:45] "Orinoco Flow" by Enya; [2:03] "Cum On Feel the Noize" by Quiet Riot; [3:12] "Big Shot" by Billy Joel; [3:25] "I Wanna Rock" by Twisted Sister; [3:34] "Voices Carry" by ’Til Tuesday; [3:52] "Shout" by Tears For Fears; [4:07] "Why Can't We Be Friends?" by War; [4:17] "That Smell" by Lynyrd Skynyrd; [5:00] "Hard to Say I'm Sorry" by Chicago; [6:25] "We Just Disagree" by Dave Mason; [6:45] "Hello" by Adelle
written by: "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" by Al Dubin & Joe Burke; "Orinoco Flow" by Eithne "Enya" Pádraigín Ní Bhraonáin & Roma Ryan; "Cum On Feel the Noize" by Noddy Holder & Jim Lea; "Big Shot" by Billy Joel; "I Wanna Rock" by Dee Snider; "Voices Carry" by Robert Holmes, Aimee Mann, Michael Hausman, & Joey Pesce; "Shout" by Roland Orzabal & Ian Stanley; "Why Can't We Be Friends?" by Papa Dee Allen, Harold Ray Brown, B.B. Dickerson, Lonnie Jordan, Charles Miller, Lee Oskar, Howard E. Scott, & Jerry Goldstein; "That Smell" by Allen Collins & Ronnie Van Zant; "Hard to Say I'm Sorry" by Peter Cetera & David Foster; "Hello" by Adele Adkins & Greg Kurstin
arranged by: Geoff Castellucci
performance date: 20 December 2015
My favorite bits:
Eli starting to doze off and tip over until he's startled awake by Earl's yelp
Tony using his flowy jacket as a blanket
sleepy Geoff rubbing his eyes as he's rudely awakened by the bickering
Earl's little bunny nose sniffing
the exchange of annoyed watch tapping
Layne almost getting Eli to break with the different interruption
Trivia:
VoicePlay made a professionally filmed version of this medley / skit during the 2014 Sing-Off tour.
Layne usually interrupts with "Royals" by Lorde, but sometimes changes it up, as he does here, to try to make the other guys laugh.
.
youtube
These guys love The Nightmare Before Christmas, and have recorded several songs from its fantastic soundtrack. But this was the first one to join their live show repertoire.
Details:
title: What's This?
original performers: Danny Elfman as Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
written by: Danny Elfman
arranged by: Layne Stein
performance date: 20 December 2015
My favorite bits:
those lovely opening harmonies
Tony excitedly getting in everybody's personal space
the alternating pliés and relevés to emulate the carolers' vehicle in the movie
♫ "I might possibly go daffy…" ♫ followed by Layne putting a quack in his percussion line
slo-mo snowball fight!
♫ "cozy in their dre-eam ⇓ laaand ⇓" ♫ "That was weird." "Sorry."
their monster walks as they regroup
that sharp, clean final chord
Trivia:
This song was a staple of their holiday shows for many years, particularly during their Disney World residencies for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
They finally recorded it with J.None for their 2017 holiday EP "Warm Up", and filmed a video to go with it that they released at Halloween of that year.
.
youtube
This bouncy tune is a great way to get an audience dancing in their seats, and VoicePlay alway performs it with gusto. Meet the guys, and hear a little of what they can do.
Details:
title: For Once In My Life
original performer: Stevie Wonder
written by: Ron Miller & Orlando Murden
arranged by: VoicePlay
performance date: 20 December 2015
My favorite bits:
Earl and Tony starting to step-touch together, then just giving in to the groove
everyone else cutting out for Eli's ♫ "won't desert me-e-e" ♫ riff then coming back in behind ♫ "I'm not alone anymore" ♫
everyone getting a moment in the spotlight for an introduction
those jazzy scatting lines leading into the key change
and a lovely ending chord
Trivia:
This song had been part of their live shows since their 4:2:Five days. The earliest clip I've found is from a performance in 2011 when their friend Jarrett Johnson subbed for Ryan.
.
youtube
Listening to this song is certainly a treat, but watching them perform it is at least half the fun. Sometimes friends being a little competitive makes them all better.
Details:
title: Elvira
original performers: The Oak Ridge Boys
written by: Dallas Frazier
arranged by: Geoff Castellucci
performance date: 20 December 2015
My favorite bits:
Tony startling Earl by skittering his fingertips down the back of his head
troublemaker Eli encouraging Earl to take center stage
that glorious pop timbre in Tony's solo
Geoff reclaiming the spotlight with that extra deep ♫ "mow mow" ♫
the "Earl can go low, too" gag is never not funny
the other guys' expectant expressions in the back during the tense final confrontation
and that big ending is always fantastic
Trivia:
This number was a longtime fan favorite staple in their live shows, including the 2015 Sing-Off tour.
Because the visual component of this performance is such an interaction with the audience, they have never filmed a video for it, but there is an audio recording available through their Patreon.
Geoff also helped arrange the version that their pals in Home Free recorded with The Oak Ridge Boys earlier in the year.
.
youtube
Anyone who grew up watching the Rankin-Bass stop-motion animated holiday specials knows these songs. But most people have never heard them quite like this.
Details:
title: Frosty the Snowman & Santa Claus Is Coming To Town
original songs / performers: "Frosty the Snowman" by Gene Autry; "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" by Eddie Cantor
written by: "Frosty the Snowman" by Walter "Jack" Rollins & Steve Nelson; "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" by J. Fred Coots & Haven Gillespie
arranged by: VoicePlay
performance date: 20 December 2015
My favorite bits:
Layne letting his inner kid out during the intro banter
Eli's smooth delivery on the opening lines
the harmonic stacking in ♫ "when they placed it on his head" ♫
those syncopated backing vocals during Earl's "Santa Claus" verse
Eli flailing in the back when the other guys start rapping
that crunchy ending section
Trivia:
The boys started performing this mashup during their 4:2:Five days. The earliest recording I've found is from their stint as castmembers in the Polar Express Conductors holiday show at SeaWorld in 2011. (Go hear Layne sing bass!)
It was a staple of VoicePlay's holiday shows for many years, particularly during their Disney World residencies for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
They recorded a swingier version of "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" with their friend Michael Andrew for their 2012 holiday album "Peppermint Winter".
.
youtube
It can be easy to overlook even the most talented vocal percussionist in an audio mix. Your ears forget that all those beats are coming out of a human body. But those skills are undeniable when he's the only one on stage.
Details:
title: Layne's drum solo
written & arranged by: Layne Stein
performance date: 20 December 2015
My favorite bits:
that initial deep kick
the random squawk
dropping into a half-time groove before transitioning into a more electronic section
♫ "Ding!" ♫
and the big finish
Trivia:
Percussion solos are a time honored tradition among modern a cappella groups. It can also be fun to hear beatboxers' differing styles when they team up as they did during the 2014 and 2015 Sing-Off tours.
When Layne started up again at the end, he was transitioning them into the start of "A Crimpella".
.
youtube
VoicePlay don't just have one crowd-pleasing medley of phonations. They've also got a holiday version. There really are a lot of unusual lyrics in Christmas carols, and these guys make them incredibly fun.
(I think I caught everything, but if I missed a song, please let me know so I can track it down and add it to the list.)
Details:
title: "Most of the Songs" holiday medley
original songs / performers: "Mele Kalikimaka" by Bing Crosby & The Andrews Sisters; [0:06] "Pat-a-pan", French / English carol; [0:08] "Deck the Halls", English carol; [0:14] "Frosty the Snowman" by Gene Autry; [0:18] "Carol of the Bells", English carol; [0:27] "Coventry Carol", English carol; [0:41] "Welcome Christmas" from How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1966); [0:55] "Hava Nagila", Jewish folk song; [1:03] "I Have a Little Dreidel", children's Hannukah song; [1:08] "Angels We Have Heard on High", French / English carol; [1:31] "Up on the Housetop" by Gene Autry; [1:38] "Dominick the Donkey" by Lou Monte; [2:00] "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" by Gene Autry; [2:03] "Jingle Bells", American carol; [2:06] "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" from The Nutcracker; [2:38] "We Wish You a Merry Christmas", English carol

Alex Anderson; "Pat-a-pan" by Bernard de La Monnoye; "Deck the Halls" English lyrics by Thomas Oliphant, set to 16th century melody from Welsh carol "Nos Galan"; "Frosty the Snowman" by Walter "Jack" Rollins & Steve Nelson; "Carol of the Bells" English lyrics by Peter Wilhousky, melody from Ukranian New Year's song "Shchedryk" by Mykola Leontovych; "Coventry Carol" 16th century English Christmas carol; "Welcome Christmas" by Albert Hague; "Hava Nagila" by Moshe Nathanson & Abraham Zevi Idelsohn; "I Have a Little Dreidel" English lyrics by Samuel S. Grossman, melody by Samuel E. Goldfarb; "Angels We Have Heard on High" English lyrics by James Chadwick, to the traditional French tune "Gloria" as arranged by Edward Shippen Barnes; "Up on the Housetop" by Benjamin Hanby; "Dominick the Donkey" by Ray Allen, Sam Saltzberg, & Wandra Merrell; "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer" by Johnny Marks; "Jingle Bells" by James Lord Pierpont; "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky; "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" modern arrangement by Arthur Warrell
arranged by: VoicePlay
performance date: 20 December 2015
My favorite bits:
Tony's little salsa groove as the beat kicks in
the adorable swaying choreography during "Welcome Christmas"
some Hannukah representation for the two Jewish band members
Geoff's robust "ho ho ho" 🎅
Earl's wonderful braying for "Dominick the Donkey"
Eli's exaggerated air bass at the start of "Sugar Plum"
that final descending drum fill from Layne
Trivia:
This medley also dates back to their 4:2:Five era and the SeaWorld Polar Express Conductors show. (Go hear Geoff beatbox!)
It was a staple of VoicePlay's holiday shows for many years, particularly during their Disney World residencies for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

I was talking about the singer, Tiny Tim the other day and a younger generation person had no idea who I was talking about. So, I YouTubed a video of Tiny singing “Tiptoe through the Tulips.” I’m not sure what the young person thought about it. Probably wondering why the hell I was showing it to them. To me, it was riveting to say the least. I did this illustration to show what the song feels like.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bu9IOCpd3CM
"Tiptoe Through the Tulips", also known as "Tip Toe Through the Tulips with Me", is a popular song [...] written by Al Dubin (lyrics) and Joe Burke (music) and made popular by guitarist Nick Lucas.”

HP Book 1 - Chapter 3
HP + The Sorcerer's Stone Chapter 3 - The Letters From No One
First Line: The escape of the Brazilian boa constrictor earned Harry his longest-ever punishment. New People We Meet: We get a brief meeting of Mrs. Figg instead of just a mention. Mentions: Dudley’s gang - Piers, Dennis, Malcolm, and Gordon.
In this chapter, the muggle school year ends and summer begins. Dudley gets into the prestigious Smeltings Private School and Harry is enrolled into Stonewall High Public School. Harry is left with Mrs. Figg for a day whilst Petunia goes out to get Dudley’s new school uniform and he actually has a nice day with her, minus the chocolate cake that tasted like she’d had it for several years.
As Harry’s 11th birthday is approaching, he starts receiving strange letters that seem to know his exact location, even down to the finest detail of where he slept in the ‘Cupboard Under The Stairs’. Seeing that location on the letters actually makes the Dursley’s feel shameful about keeping him in such a confined space and they allow him to take the smallest bedroom that was previously used to house Dudley’s extra or broken toys. Unfortunately, Harry doesn’t get a chance to read these letters. Vernon confiscates and destroys them. But they don’t stop coming. Every day, Harry receives more and more letters. With every day that passes, Vernon nails up more of the house until nobody can get in or out. Vernon finally decides that he’s had enough with the blasted letters and decides to pack up the family and move them to odd places in the hopes that the letters will stop coming, but he was wrong. Vernon takes them to a hotel, a strange place in the woods, and finally an old sea shack which they had to borrow a boat to get to. They settle in to the cold, moldy sea shack and eat their rations of one banana and one bag of chips each. As the night comes to an end, Harry lays on the cold, stone floor under a raggedy blanket and counts down to the second that he turns 11. Just as the clock strikes midnight, a very loud sound is heard at the door of the sea shack. Trivia facts to remember: 1. Some of the broken things in Dudley’s 2nd room: video camera, a working tank that Dudley used to run over the next door neighbors dog, television set which Dudley put his foot through, a birdcage that once held a parrot that Dudley swapped for an air rifle, the air rifle itself, and shelves full of seemingly untouched books. 2. The hotel they stayed at was called The Railview Hotel and was located in Cokeworth. 3. For Harry’s 10th birthday, the Dursley’s gave him: a coat hanger and an old pair of Vernon’s socks.
Some things I learned/googled about: 1. Whelk - Marge’s postcard mentions that she got sick from eating bad whelk. I learned that Whelk is a type of snail. So basically, escargot!  2. As Vernon was boarding up the house, he was humming ‘Tiptoe Through The Tulips’. This is a song by Tiny Tim and if you’re curious, you can watch/listen to it here.

Blu-ray Review: Blood Harvest
Tumblr media
Tiny Tim made a name for himself as a musician in the late '60s with his unusual, high falsetto voice and accompanying vibrato. While his success as a novelty act was short-lived, modern horror fans ought to be familiar with at least one of his songs, perhaps unknowingly; his haunting rendition of "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" plays during a memorable scene in Insidious.
As his fame continued to wane throughout the '80s, Tiny Tim tried his hand at acting. Of his few screen credits, his lone leading role came in 1987 with Blood Harvest. Tim headlines the low budget horror film as a mentally unstable clown that calls himself The Marvolous Mervo. There's something inherently creepy about Tim, who's rather physically imposing, before he even puts on the clown makeup; he possesses all of the makings of a memorable horror character.
Tumblr media
The problem is that Blood Harvest is not a killer clown movie. It's a standard slasher, for the most part, but Mervo is curiously not the one slicing and dicing teens. Instead, the killer dons a boring nylon stocking over his face. The story is set up as something of a murder-mystery at first, wherein the viewer presumes the crazy clown is responsible for the string of deaths, but there's little mystery once the killer - who is clearly not Tiny Tim - is shown onscreen.
Filmed in Wisconsin, the regional horror offering works the farmland into the plot. It centers around Jill (Itonia Salchek), who returns home from college to the rural farming community in which she grew up, only to discover her house vandalized and her parents missing. Her only ally is her ex-boyfriend, Gary (Dean West), who's brother is the aforementioned Marvolous Mervo. Peter Krause (Six Feet Under) makes his film debut as Jill's current beau.
Tumblr media
Blood Harvest is directed by Bill Rebane, best remembered for silly sci-fi/horror B-movies from decades prior, like The Giant Spider Invasion, The Capture of Bigfoot, and Monster a Go-Go. Blood Harvest would have greatly benefited from some of the camp that was so prevalent in his earlier work, but the script - written by Ben Benson and producer Leszek Burzynski - takes itself too seriously and becomes much too sleazy.
Tiny Tim's singing is smartly worked into the film. Among the character's idiosyncrasies, the unhinged Marvo often sings ditties in his signature falsetto. Tim also croons the end title song, although he does so in his lesser-known baritone voice. The special effects are quite good for the budget, with Robert Johnson (Poltergeist III) serving as one of the artists, but the body count is low. There are long stretches in which nothing happens, usually interrupted by uncomfortable depictions of sexual assault.
Tumblr media
Blood Harvest is available as a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack with reversible artwork from Vinegar Syndrome. Originally released straight to video, it has been restored in 4K from the 16mm camera negative. The discs feature an audio commentary from Burzynski, which is dry but provides a few anecdotes about working with Tim; and 71 minutes of Tim at the Great American Circus in 1987, including performance footage, behind-the-scenes video, and a candid interview. A booklet featuring writing about Blood Harvest from Justin Martell and Alanna Wray McDonald's 2016 Tim biography, Eternal Troubadour: The Improbable Life of Tiny Tim, is included.
If utilized properly, Tiny Tim could have been the poor man's Joe Spinell, as Blood Harvest shares some DNA with Maniac. Adding the clown angle, his Mervo character also evokes John Wayne Gacy. Unfortunately, the film's lone intriguing aspect is squandered. Once his brief role as a red herring is complete, Mervo serves as little more than an incidental character. Blood Harvest is a sleazy, regional slasher oddity with a missed opportunity looming over its head.
Blood Harvest is available on Blu-ray/DVD via Vinegar Syndrome.

Road Trip — VoicePlay music video
youtube
The life of touring musicians can be stressful. Like anyone else in the midst of a long drive in a cramped vehicle, they can get on each other's nerves and argue over what music to play. With this dramatic comedic reenactment, VoicePlay gives their audience a peek inside the tour van. After years of performing this medley / theatrical sketch, they finally got a chance to record a professional video in a live setting during the 2014 Sing-Off tour.
Details:
title: Road Trip
original songs / performers: [1:30] "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" by Tiny Tim; [1:50] "Orinoco Flow" by Enya; [2:05] "Cum On Feel the Noize" by Quiet Riot; [3:12] "Big Shot" by Billy Joel; [3:24] "I Wanna Rock" by Twisted Sister; [3:33] "Voices Carry" by ’Til Tuesday; [3:50] "Shout" by Tears For Fears; [4:06] "Why Can't We Be Friends?" by War; [4:15] "That Smell" by Lynyrd Skynyrd; [5:10] "Hard to Say I'm Sorry" by Chicago; [6:34] "We Just Disagree" by Dave Mason; [6:54] "Royals" by Lorde
written by: "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" by Al Dubin & Joe Burke; "Orinoco Flow" by Eithne "Enya" Pádraigín Ní Bhraonáin & Roma Ryan; "Cum On Feel the Noize" by Noddy Holder & Jim Lea; "Big Shot" by Billy Joel; "I Wanna Rock" by Dee Snider; "Voices Carry" by Robert Holmes, Aimee Mann, Michael Hausman, & Joey Pesce; "Shout" by Roland Orzabal & Ian Stanley; "Why Can't We Be Friends?" by Papa Dee Allen, Harold Ray Brown, B.B. Dickerson, Lonnie Jordan, Charles Miller, Lee Oskar, Howard E. arranged by: Geoff Castellucci
release date: 22 May 2014
My favorite bits:
Layne's deliberately-obnoxious-sibling energy when he re-locks the door the second time.
five grown men making vroom-vroom noises and other sound effects as part of their job
Tony singing ♫ "Why? Why? Why?" ♫ in annoyance instead of ♫ "wild, wild, wild" ♫, and his smug smile at cutting off Eli's accompaniment
Eli excitedly throwing the horns only to be met with Tony's completely unenthusiastic "rawk". 😒
Geoff's growl note as Eli's "shout"ing wakes him up
Eli watch the rooOAAAD!!!
professional singers using their talents to set up and deliver an elaborate fart joke (I am completely serious. It's magnificent.)
Earl's adorable muppet snoring 💤 , and his bashful expression as he apologizes
Tony wiping the pretend aerosol spray off his face (whatever it may be… air freshener? hairspray? breath freshener? floor wax? dessert topping?)
the pitch pipe / seat belt alarm gag — such a clever way to reset after the evacuation interlude
and, of course, Layne's incredible solo
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Trivia:
Layne sometimes changes the song he busts out at the end in an attempt to make the other guys laugh and break character. I've found audience recordings where he goes with "Baby" by Justin Bieber, "Hello" by Adele, and "Let It Go" from Frozen.
VoicePlay have been performing and refining this medley / skit since their 4:2:Five days. The earliest full version I've found is from 2010, with Ryan and Danny in the front seats, but an even earlier clip appeared in their 2009 promo video.

They did make an in-studio version with a real car in 2013. It's currently only available through their Patreon.

Taxing Torquay trek tests temperamental tourist’s tenacity
12 July 2020 - alphabetical post #20
The next target in my series of parkruns was the letter T, the twentieth letter of the alphabet. It was a toss up between Toolern Vale in Melton and Torquay. I chose the latter because we could stay overnight in a friend’s beach house in town just three hundred metres from the parkrun start.
We travelled to Torquay together with our two whippets, Cliffy and Bolt. There was no shortage of suitable tunes to help pass the time in the tedious Friday afternoon traffic tangle. My T playlist for the trip featured Tina Turner, Tommy Tutone, Tanya Tucker and of course Tiny Tim, with his truly terrible song “Tiptoe Through the Tulips”.
2020 is a leap year, and 29 February fell on a Saturday. This would not happen again until 2048. Thus parkrunners world wide were being encouraged to mark the day by jumping into the air. Bolt threw himself into the spirit of things at the beach house - see video below.
It had been three weeks since my chemotherapy torture had finished, but there had been no tangible change in my state of health since then. The toxic drugs had taken their toll and I was perpetually tired. It was tempting to throw in the towel and skip this one, but I decided to grit my teeth and tough it out.
The Torquay parkrun course follows a trail parallel to Fishermans Beach and thankfully the terrain is mostly flat, with some twists and turns. As we joined the assembled throng, the weather was terrific: clear, windless and at a good temperature for running. After a tentative start, I tried to run at my threshold, and this tactic netted me a finishing time of 23:10, not too bad in the absence of training.
Unfortunately that morning I must have been suffering from “chemo brain”, which clouds thinking somewhat. I had trouble operating both my running watch and tiny cap-mounted timelapse camera. The camera is touchy and, like most technology, is useless if not turned on correctly. So unfortunately there is no video footage this week.

Afterwards runners and walkers took over the nearby Salty Dog Cafe, appropriately named given the tremendous number of dogs with their owners at the outdoor tables. The cafe offered some tasty treats, but I was happy with tea and raisin toast. Tugging on their leads and with tails wagging, our two whippets reminded us to take them to the beach, so we trudged behind them as they chased and tormented the local seagulls.
That evening we left our temporary home to travel back to Melbourne, back to our telephones and vacuous TV, with a twinge of regret that we could not tarry a tad longer in Torquay.
Course ratings - Torquay:
Course - out and back ****
Surface - gravel trail ****
Setting - next to beach, low scrub ****
Social index - Salty Dog Cafe close to the start/finish line *****
This post’s T count: 150.
The next post will be brought to you by the letter U.

A True Story
This is a real story that a close friend has shared this with me. This happened to one of his friends, so for the sake of privacy and respect I will not be sharing their real names.
Jerry is about my age, he is 28 years old and lives in a small house alone. About two weeks ago, he heard a noise coming from his living room in the middle of the night. Even though the noises seemed unusual, he attributed them to his two cats, who although were usually quiet, could have been the source. Yet, the noise didn't stop. Night after night he was woken up by what sounded like an object falling to the floor and being pushed around. He brushed it off, as the  next day there was nothing out of the ordinary. Though for the next couple of nights new, different noises began bothering him more and more; doors creaking, thumps and bumps. But nothing made him react until his phone went missing. Every night he connects his cell-phone to a charger with a short cable on a coffee table. But that morning his phone was gone. He woke up late for work the morning it happened, so he didn't really look around until he got home that evening. No matter how much he looked, the phone was nowhere to be found. He even asked his overly touchy neighbor to call his phone, but it seemed to be dead. The next morning he found his phone on the TV stand. The phone was charged, which was weird. He simply assumed that he perhaps overlooked it as it was the same color of the stand and he often forgets to un-mute his phone after work. Though a couple of days later, he was going through his pictures and noticed a video of him sleeping, and a dozen other weird pictures. This is extremely unsettling as I mentioned before he lives alone and he told my friend that no one else had been in the house that week.
Here is the video he found:

And here are the weird pictures:

He called the police, but they did not find any evidence of a break in, nor any fingerprints. No one had seen anyone and nothing was stolen so there wasn’t much they could do. He changed the locks and began to feel comfortable at home again.
That was until a couple of nights ago. Jerry was taking a shower and his Google Home turned on. He then heard a soft voice followed by google saying, "now playing Tiptoe Through the Tulips from google music. Before he knew it, the whimsical music started playing at maximum volume.

Song by Tiny Tim, from Godbless Tiny Tim
He sped out of the shower, barely grabbing a towel and made his way to his living room. After asking his Google Home to pause the music, he called 911, grabbed a T-shirt and shorts and ran out of the house. The police looked it up and down but the only thing they found out of place was a window that was left slightly ajar.
Was someone coming in from the window? But why would anyone go out of their way to do such things?
Honestly, I don’t think it makes much sense. He locked his windows and installed some security cameras. So far nothing weird has happened.
