tumblr auto-labelling posts as mature content as of 10 apr. 2025(?)

recently, i and many others have noticed that, when submitting a post whether that's a gifset of a girl group, plain text posts or even just pictures of your pets, tumblr has now begun to auto tag posts as mature content even when there is no mature content to be found. while it isn't as bad on desktop, it is bothersome on mobile, and as a gifmaker, this is incredibly annoying, and often the appeal process can take days or weeks. you as the viewer might also just not be able to see our gifs, gfx or cat/dog photos because of this if you have the show mature content setting switched off.

it'll look like this on mobile, and probably desktop in some cases:

under the cut i'll show you where to turn this back on, at least until they manage to reverse the mass mature content labelling.

there are two ways of doing this, one on mobile and one on desktop, i'll show you both.

desktop: to access the setting, go to settings on the left hand side of your page directly under account, and on this page, scroll down past your email, password, birthday settings etc until you're at the subtitle heading content you see. after filtered tags, you'll see two settings, one for show mature content and another for blur mature content. i have show mature content enabled but blur isn't. it's up to you how you want it set up.

mobile: go to your blog, press on the cogwheel icon, then go to account settings, and find the settings content you see. show mature content will be on the bottom of the page. follow the steps of the gif below:

hopefully this helps temporarily until tumblr issues a fix for their machine learning auto-labelling everything!

I'm surprised I missed the eight-planet Frog Temple - but that eight-planet session in Act 2 was a hell of a spot.

I was initially going to say that it might not necessarily be a reference to the post-Scratch session, but its presence in this pre-Cascade panel suggests otherwise. WARNING, SPOILERS.

I have no doubt that every now and then, especially in the beginning, at the end of a long day or when they are tasked with doing something they've never encountered... they look at each other and say ...

And it allows them to laugh it off. They said they were making memories they could look back on while doing their service. What a fantastic period of time they had to create these memories.

This ending scene of the last episode of Are You Sure? has changed the way I think about that moment of them from the Bangtan Bomb of their enlistment day.

On their enlistment day we were so sad and were convinced they were too. And they were. But at that time we had no idea the fun they had during these three fantastic trips, they ate some wonderful food, drank a lot of beer, saw sights they don't have time to see when they are traveling for promotions and performing, spent a lot of "just being" time together which is obviously something they enjoy doing.

And knowing that at the end of Jungkook's I Am Still documentary, there was a scene of him showing Jimin his shaved head... it's as close to seeing it all play out as we're ever going to get. Piece it all together and you have a clear picture of this strong connection they have with each other.

Like Hobi said in his recent Weverse letter, I hope Jimin and Jungkook have come to realize by now it will all be ok. 27 days left until Hobi is back. 8 months, 23 days until Jimin and Jungkook are back. 38 more Mondays.

And they gave us a tiny bit of hope that this isn't the end of Are You Sure.

Delulu time: They have a lot of time to scheme and plan a reboot. Planning the next trip can also help them have something to look forward to. Like Jin did, they can do a quick live at the Hybe building before jetting off to Bora Bora or Alaska to start filming the reboot of AYS. They can make it happen if they want to. It will be another ten days after their discharge before Yoongi is free too and the group can be one again. They can go away for a few days, get comfortable with cameras and civilian clothes again. Get busy, Universe! Please?

All along, Jungkook was expressing his love for these trips, his excitement for the experiences, his enthusiasm for the good food and his easy-going vibe because he's with someone who fits him so well. Jimin enjoys the vibe of being with Jungkook and enjoys watching Jungkook be immersed in everything that brings him joy. He said if we watched these episodes, this is what its like at home.

They made it clear there are no other people on earth either of them would rather be with than each other for these trips. Jungkook said it himself: these were the best trips of his life. Jimin teared up a little when it was time to head to the airport. This was a chapter closing in their lives. If it impacted them this much, they will for sure somehow try to do it again after military service.

Besides the fact the two loved creating this, the series has been ranking high in viewers which would help sway any decisions as to whether a reboot is worth the expense. Of course it is!

Questions: I guess the behind episodes will also be on Disney? Why would they be submitted for ratings if they were only going to be on BangtanTV? Or maybe they'll be on Weverse too?

With the purchase of the photo book, there is a digital code for 52 more minutes of footage. We'll begin seeing clips of that on Sept. 29 when people begin receiving their copies. Got mine! Can't wait for it to get here!

In honour of Katniss’ birthday yesterday, I invite everyone to also remember the real-life men, women, and children in Palestine enduring unimaginable suffering in the midst of an actual war. To be aware of the censorship being deployed against protesters of this violence by corporations at the hand of unjust governments.

As you may or may not know, on the 6th of May, Macklemore released a song called "HIND’S HALL" in support of Palestine, where 100% of proceeds from streaming will go to supporting UNRWA.

Hind Rajab was a 6-year-old girl from Gaza. In January 2024, she and her family were shelled by the Israeli army while in their car. Hind and her 15-year-old cousin, Layan Hamadeh, were the only survivors, trapped within the car. They called the Palestinian Red Cross Society, with Layan saying, "They are shooting at us. The tank is right next to me. We're in the car, and the tank is right next to us." The PCRS sent a team to rescue them. However, after 12 days, on February 10th, when the Israeli army withdrew from the area, Hind Rajab and her six relatives were found dead in the car, along with the two paramedics sent to rescue them, who were also found dead nearby.

The song is not available on Spotify yet. It is not available on Apple Music yet. It’s available only on Youtube, where—for the first time in the 15+ years i’ve been using Youtube—they have placed an 18+ age restriction on the video that includes multi-step age verification, where viewers must prove their age with a government ID, credit card, or submit a photo of themselves to an AI age recognition program (that oftentimes won’t even load).

This is absolutely abhorrent of Youtube/Google to censor this video, especially in the light of the recent attacks on Rafah, where thousands of Palestians have been cornered in what was previously considered the final "safe" zone.

Macklemore has since reuploaded a second video including audio only which has not been age restricted (yet), but the lack of imagery greatly alters the impact of his message. Many people may not feel comfortable verifying their identity to a corporation we know to be corrupt. Others may not be "old enough" to see it, though as the next generation of voters, as the primary group fighting for peace, you all deserve to see the truth of what’s happening in the world. I have screenrecorded the video and attached it to this post, but if there’s any of you who have already verified your age or feel comfortable doing so, please visit and interact with the original video here to contribute to aid efforts. Where do I begin with this submission? I was introduced to Nicole by a follower and I had a thoroughly enjoyable time seeing all of her posts on IG.

It’s not hard to see that Nicole definitely spends a good amount of time working out and keeping herself fit. Her lovely toned abs are proof of that and she’s not shy to show them off either, rocking some sexy crop tops and blessing us all with the wonderful view of her midriff.

For a girl with such a fit and petite figure, Nicole is also blessed with a pair of perky and full boobs. The swimsuits and beach photos sure had me hot around the collar with intrusive thoughts making me wonder just what they’d feel like in my hands. Most viewers surely join me in pondering whether this fit babe has sensually luscious brown nipples or tantalising pink ones.

According to the follower who submitted this request, Nicole seems like a sweet girl who enjoys working out, baking, and days at the beach. She’s got very pleasant energy and gives me the sort of vibe that has me wanting to go on adventures with her, both outdoors and in the bedroom.

Contemporary Swiss artists Gerda Steiner and Jorg Lenzlinger hung flowers, seeds, and branches in a 17th-century church in Venice.

Gerda Steiner and Jorg Lenzlinger design site-specific installations that envelop the viewer. Falling Garden is a world in which botanical curios are suspended from the ceiling of a 17th-century church in Venice. It's a botanic tableau in three dimensions, against a backdrop of richly decorated Italian marble. The piece immerses visitors in a magical reality of dreamy conceits—if a blossom had a mind, this is surely what it would look like. Falling Garden becomes the visitors' collective dream of botanical liturgies and ecclesiastic whimsy.

The artists installed "Falling Garden" inside San Staë church, on the Grand Canal, at the 50th Venice Biennial. According to the artists, the church was built as a mausoleum for a 17th-century doge (duke), who was entombed in the center, under an arrangement of skeletons and a grinning skull. To view the installation, visitors lie on the floor, or, as the artists suggest, on the gravestone's bed. It's the best seat in the house, a house of cascading flowers and cherub carvings. Having thus submitted, the visitor's thoughts are free to drift, as "the garden thinks for them."

To further extend the installation's dimensionality, consider the geographic distance it spans: Falling Garden is a collection of botanical tokens from many different places, including baobab seeds from Australia; beech, elder, and magnolia branches from Switzerland, silk buds from Sweden, celery roots from Canada, seaweed from South Korea, and plastic berries from India.

Louis drinks from 'Rashid' (1x05)

1x05 begins with Daniel reading out Claudia's diary, which describes each of her victims and records their final words. He looks up, with a disturbed expression on his face, at Louis who is presumably across from him, but the camera doesn't pan to him for a moment. When it does, it shows Louis and Armand (as Rashid) sitting next to each other, Louis drinking from Armand, who is clearly enjoying the action. Armand then replies to Daniel's comments, his speech slurring slightly from the blood loss. He then attacks Daniel for what he is doing, "chronicling a suicide", but Daniel looks on, uncaring. Looking into Daniel's mind, Louis answers his questions unprompted, letting Daniel know how much 'Rashid' weighs and what he tastes like. To a first-time viewer, this scene is intriguing, making the audience question the importance of 'Rashid' and why he is so protective of Louis. Knowing it is Armand, the viewer can now see the resentment between the two men, engaging in a strange voyeuristic activity, but Armand still hating this game they're playing. "I care for him more than he cares for himself. And I wouldn't let you near my neck if you were..." "Sixty-two and a half kilograms." "What?" "One hundred and thirty-eight pounds for the metrically challenged. Daniel here was wondering how much you weigh, Rashid."

Walking by the Seine (2x03)

Louis and Armand take an evening walk by the Seine, Louis taking photos as they walk. Armand starts to question and unpick Louis's lie about his maker, 'Bruce', but keeps the conversation light. Louis also reiterates the fact that he doesn't want to join the coven, shutting down Armand's talk of the other members. As the conversation turns to flirting, Dreamstat appears on the other side of Armand, making fun of the pair, as Louis attempts to ignore him. Armand can sense Lestat's presence, but Louis makes him disappear with the click of a camera. Once Dreamstat disappears, the two vampires smile at each other, continuing their flirting. Louis is clearly enjoying his newfound openness of his sexuality, free of Lestat, but Armand is still worried, still thinking of the coven. Armand envies Louis's freedom, but also cannot fully understand this wish to be with humanity instead. The scene is scored by Daniel Hart's 'A Vein Winding Through The Heart Of Paris', a slow and romantic piece, increasing the romance of the scene. The audience must note, however, that this is from the perspective of Louis and Armand at the height of their act for Daniel, and so the romanticism may be exaggerated for this performance. "I'm out here finding myself." "Then what room is there left for me, if you have not found yourself?" "Hmm. Oh, there's room."

His sense has always been outstanding when it comes to music, so it makes sense he’s skilled at keeping to a song’s rhythm, but… I’ve rarely seen him dance solo, so it’s really fresh.

And, NiceP is exceptionally talented, as someone who was originally a solo idol… You couldn’t have guessed from his comedian-like appearance that he’d look this unthinkably cool.

Fuyume: Old man Nice looks surprisingly cool when he dances, huh.

Truth is, I don’t get the difference between when something’s as a unit and when something’s solo. Is it all that different?

Tsukasa: Absolutely. You have only been active in a Unit for a short period of time, so you might see it as the same, but…

Dancing alone and dancing as part of a group are two completely different competitions.

Dancing as part of a group sometimes necessitates killing your individuality. Becoming part of the whole allows for a more versatile form of expression, however.

Dancing as an individual is about the body, and the presence that is exerted from it. It all coalesces into a single expression.

Leo-san typically Dances as a part of Knights, so it is a rare occurrence to see him communicate through Dance like this.

I’ve only competed against Leo-san a handful of times, but… The way he uniquely interprets music and expresses it through his Dance never fails to send a shiver down my spine.

To be “beloved by the god of music”—truly, this must be what it is.

Seeing this up close, it’s starting to hit me that this is a competition between individuals.

When it comes to idols who have always worked as a unit, being judged as individuals is a whole different ball game.

Which means, the usual rules of common sense no longer apply, and that includes the rules of Prince Castle.

Mao: (And it also means that I have to work hard as the solo idol Isara Mao, rather than as a member of Trickstar.)

(Is it even possible for me to beat those geniuses head-on? Something like that is—)

(No, no matter what the circumstances will be, I gotta pull it off.)

On January, I applied to @ float_magazine's call for entries for the virtual photography exhibition Whispering Shadows. I am deeply grateful to be selected alongside such great photographers and with one of the most beautiful curatorial texts I've ever been involved with.

In the interplay between light and dark, there exists a realm where stories are half-told, lingering at the edges of perception. "Whispering Shadows" invites viewers to step into this liminal space—where shadows, both physical and metaphorical, evoke emotions and narratives that are not immediately seen but deeply felt. Shadows have long been the silent witnesses to the human experience, and in this exhibition, we explore how they can be more than mere absence—they are both a presence and a mystery.

Shadows, in their physical form, are inseparable from light. They stretch, shrink, and shift, reacting to the world around them in ways that are impossible to predict. As much as they are tangible, they also exist as ephemeral, intangible things—fleeting moments, fleeting impressions, the echo of what once was or what might be. Just as the play of light can reveal intricate detail, shadows often conceal, leaving gaps that spark curiosity and imagination.

But shadows also take on a more emotional dimension. They are not just the product of a physical absence of light; they can also symbolize deeper, psychological spaces—the unspoken fears, hidden desires, or unresolved tensions that linger in our minds and hearts. In this way, the shadow becomes a metaphor, an expression of emotional landscapes that we might not always be able to name, but that we all recognize in our own way. The shadows that live within us are often the ones that speak the loudest, even though they remain unseen.

This exhibition is a celebration of that quiet, haunting interplay between what is visible and what is concealed. It asks us to pay attention to the things that are not immediately clear, the subtle gestures, the fleeting expressions, and the spaces between what we see and what we feel. The photographs presented here are not just images of darkness; they are reflections of emotional states, moments suspended in time that ask us to contemplate the stories hidden just out of reach.

Each work in "Whispering Shadows" evokes a feeling of mystery, whether through the softness of a blurred figure or the stark contrast between light and shadow. Some images hint at a narrative just beyond the frame, while others invite us to reflect on the absence, the pause, and the quiet spaces in between. The shadows, in all their forms, invite us to look closer, to listen for the whispers of meaning that lie beneath the surface.

Through this exhibition, we explore the power of what is left unsaid—the power of suggestion, of quietude, of what we cannot see but can still feel. The shadows that haunt these images are not passive; they are active participants in the emotional landscape, amplifying the sense of mystery and inviting us to search for the story that lies within.

"Whispering Shadows" is an exploration of the unseen, the hidden, and the subtle. It is a reminder that not all stories are loud, and not all truths are fully revealed. In the spaces where light and shadow meet, we find the most poignant moments of reflection, introspection, and discovery.
