oh my gosh building instruments would be such an incredible job though!! my dad is a woodworker and he was researching how to build a ukulele for me and it was very intricate

as expected i bought a cheap violin and i'm not happy with the sound quality because that's how i roll, not that going from an intermediate/advanced instrument to a cheap student one was ever going to like. go favourably 😂

I got a bit crazy and manic and in 5 days I built 2 low flutes and a tagelharpa cello with no prior knowledge on how to build any instrument.

The crush has come.

My body aches all over, my right arm is about to fall off, I don't think I can hold a pen for the next week, I'm overwhelmed and tired, there's sawdust and chipped wood everywhere, I've cried for the past 15 minute, I want chocolate.

I love signs painted with gold leaf, outlined in black. They are so classy. This sketch is a detail of the reference photo (taken in 1989) for this series. Luthier (Sam) Rosenthal passed away in 1968, so the shop that bore his name must have been passed down to new owners. I don’t know if his shop still exists, but a search on the internet reveals that some of his violins remain in…
