In early celebration of my Saurondriel/Haladriel fanfic "THE TRIALS OF MAIRON" turning two years old on October 14th, I have assembled a little commemorative Visual Guide.

Most of the images in the full 16-page guide were created using prompts from the fic and an AI-image generator to get as close to what I had in my head when writing as possible. It aims to serve as a visual aid for first time and returning readers to be consulted throughout the read if so desired. As such, it contains SPOILERS for the entire fic.

Visual guide for my game

Tumblr isn’t letting me reply to messages , so @oppositely-yes here you go! It’s better as a post anyway so I can properly hyperlink stuff. Also thank you for the comments on my build

For build/buy mode, I use a lot of default replacements and conversions specifically from Lord crumps. You can get for example all 4t2 wallpapers, doors and windows. Honestly teaaddicts video does a good job of providing information on that see here.

For the general aesthetic of the game , I use dreadpirate-gunmod’s lighting mod, it makes the game look aesthetically pleasing. There’s some caveats though, for example when you want to modify the terrain in neighbourhood view, the green highlight that appears when you’re modifying the terrain is invisible. Your modify terrain tool isn’t broken it’s just invisible now. I play the legacy edition so this is the one I personally use. If you play the ultimate collection there’s a different download I think it’s this one.

I also use skyboxes to have that open world feel, and this too to make the environment look more lived in. I also use tvickie sims default replacements for all the terrain paints in build mode. I use Honeywell’s default replacements for the trees in neighbourhood view. There’s also a good video on YouTube by accottonsock on making your game look really good. If your computer isn’t very powerful be careful with what you pick and choose from the video.

I use a combo tvickie sims and criquette’s rural charm default replacements. I use this version specifically because when you have them you don’t need to place road overlays. See here.

Furthermore, some of these default replacements are high poly(skyboxes and terrain paints for example). so watch out for that .Honeywell’s tree replacement aren’t high poly though,. Read all the instructions for each mod, it’s important or things may not show up properly or worse crashing. I hope this helps 😊

I've not posted in AGES but i'm planning on a lot more guides for illustrating and writing disability, given the popularity I might do some more for everything and release similar guides like my wheelchair guide for free online and sell more in-depth versions for people who are wanting to write or illustrate in a much more in-depth manner? I don't want to be all shallow but I think there's loads I could add but it takes me a long time to research and make the guides, would love to hear what people who enjoyed the last guide think!

Currently working on a walking aids guide (walking sticks, crutches, rollator a etc) and after I'm going to make some on prosthesis, bracing, facial and limb differences, and maybe visual impairment/blindness.

A Visual Guide for Drawing Flutes

Many artists like drawing their favorite characters playing flutes. And sometimes, there are errors. Especially when not all artists are musicians.

Well… I have 2 years total of flute experience. Some months of learning, some months of playing for fun, and 1 school year of marching band. But i haven't play in about 10 years. I play concert flute. The meTallic kind. Not the wooden/ bamboo kind. But the hands are the same.

FOR VISUAL GUIDE: On my left hand is a red wristband/ bracelet. On my right hand is a black wristband/ bracelet and black paper claws.

First! I hold flute in set/ attention position (as known in marching band).

NOTICE: The flute is position on my right. My left arm is across my body. My left palm is facing in, the wall. My left hand is closer to my body. My right palm and fingers are facing out, toward you. My right hand is farther out away from my body.

This applies for any and all fandoms. I know that QSMP and Hetalia have characters who canonically play flutes. I originally made this post for the qsmp fandom.

A visual guide to how i open trash bags fast

because nobody asked but i do this whenever I have to replace trash bags.

Step one:

Get a good grip on the bag. It should be a bit open too, and hands opposite eachother.

Step two:

Bag begind your head. Start getting on your tippy toes because its almost the last step.

Step three:

CRANK IT down. As far down as you can. Just whip the bag downwards. This is technically drawn inaccurately: you would be doing this forwards and straight down, but the drawing is different to show what will happen with the legs. Basically, your position will switch to pushing up and back, rather than just up.

Your knees shouldn't actually be going in, its just an example of the repositioning of your feet. They'll turn inwards. Also, when whipping the bag down, try to keep it as far away from you as your arms allow.

But yeah, repeat maybe two or three times and the bag should be open.

I Thought it was Spring Already?

Maybe it seemed like it between the unseasonably warm winter temperatures and Punxsutawney Phil's prediction of an early spring. But on March 19, the astronomical winter ends and spring begins. It's also known as the vernal equinox – when day and night are the about same length almost everywhere on Earth.

When the vernal equinox takes place on Tuesday evening in the U.S., it will already be March 20 for most of the world. A March 21 equinox won't occur on the continental U.S. during the entire 21st century, according to The Old Farmer's Almanac.

Here's what happens on the first day of spring.

When is the Spring Equinox?

The March equinox comes at 11:06 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, the precise moment the sun's rays shine directly on the equator. Meteorologists actually consider March 1 the beginning of spring.

Tuesday is one of two days of the year – the other is the day of the autumnal equinox in September – when the Earth's axis is tilted neither toward nor away from the sun, resulting in roughly 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness almost everywhere on the planet.

What Causes the Seasons to Change?

After the spring equinox, the north pole continues tilting toward the sun until summer solstice, or the day when the northern hemisphere receives the most sunlight. After that longest day in June, the north pole begins its six-month retreat in the sky toward winter.

The word "equinox" comes from the Latin words "aequalis" and "nox," meaning "equal night." On the autumnal (and the spring) equinox, day and night are roughly 12 hours long each in most of the world.

Day and night aren't exactly 12 hours long on the day of the equinox because the Earth's atmosphere refracts, or bends, light in an optical illusion that brings more daylight than there really is. Because of this, the date when day and night are of exactly equal length is usually a few days after the spring equinox.

What's the Difference Between an Equinox and a Solstice?

Equinoxes – when day and night are roughly equal – occur in March and September and mark the astronomical beginning of spring and autumn in the Northern Hemisphere.

Solstices occur in June and December, which mark the beginning of astronomical summer and winter. The summer solstice is when the sun is at its highest point in the sky and the winter solstice occurs when the sun is at its lowest point in the sky.
