Investing in a Venture
Starting with coffee and then expanding business – Image by Pexels from Pixabay I am sure no one is following this or believes what I say after so many false starts. Online courses, music promotion, editorial publicity, websites for artists, organising artshows, how to guides and carboot sales with help organising homes. Now I have a chance to focus on one thing – a business – and to test my…

routine building for after school : optimize and make ur time work for you⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🎀
Tumblr media
this is how to build a solid after school routine, requested by an anonie (yk who u are) a routine that'll not only help u to be as productive as u can but to also do so in a way that doesn't drain u bcuz school is exhausting.
do ur homework as soon as u get home : dont put it off and do it during the nighttime, or the day thats its due. do ur homework as soon as u get it (aim to finish homework during school) but if u can't do that then as soon as u get home do ur homework.
Tumblr media
if u find it difficult to stay focused and do ur homework as soon as u get home bcuz ur so tired and exhausted from school, i would recommend going to a cafe, or the library, a place where u CANNOT fall asleep so that then u have no choice but to get ur schoolwork done.
a little boost of energy : for me, i do pilates in the morning before school because it releases endorphins and gives me energy to start my day. if u need some extra energy, go for a walk, go to the gym, or take a short power nap. dont consume caffeine in the afternoon -> evening period bcuz it usually makes u unable to get quality sleep
make an agenda : i have an agenda for every single day of the week with important things i need to get done in order to manage my time well. spread our ur tasks throughout the day. some helpful agenda tools that i like to use are : notion and the notes app
put a big chunk of time towards urself : do all of ur tasks so that then once they're finished u have a huge chunk of time for urself. to practice a hobby that u have, practice self care, or just simply relax bcuz making time to do those things is just as important as ur studies
depending on how much time u have to work with you'll have to adjust accordingly but the basic formula to make an effective after school routine is : homework or studying (complete at school if u can) + replenish energy + time for urself, ur hobbies, and things outside of school.

How to be more disciplined?
HOW TO CULTIVATE SELF-DISCIPLINE:
Know Your Why: Always Keep The End In Mind
Keep Small Promises To Yourself. Make Them Non-Negotiable.
Create And Consistently Log Your Progress
Take Temptations Out Of Sight
Find Indulgences To Help You Focus On Your Goals
Know Your Why: Always Keep The End In Mind
Decisiveness drives discipline. You need to clarify and define your goals. State them clearly with their authentic purpose in mind. If you seduce this end goal into your life, what desire are you truly fulfilling? Ex. If you want to lose 10 pounds: Is it to feel healthier? Look better in a bikini? Fit into a certain pair of jeans? No matter how superficial, identify the genuine reason why you want to achieve a certain goal. Whatever reason elicits a visceral and emotional reaction. Sometimes, especially during a busy work day, your reason could be as simple as wanting to lessen your anxiety and ease into a more relaxed state. Any purpose that resonates. Once you have an emotional response tied to a goal, it becomes infinitely easier to motivate yourself to take small steps towards achieving it. Where energy goes, energy flow. Simon Sinek goes more in-depth with this concept in Start With Why.
Keep Small Promises To Yourself. Make Them Non-Negotiable.
Think of performing self-discipline rituals as confidence-building exercises. This action helps you trust yourself, establishes a sense of integrity, and builds self-confidence. For example, if you stick to your meal and workout plan for 5 days a week, you build trust in knowing you're more powerful than your cravings and are capable of taking good care of your body. If you complete a project on schedule (personal or professional), you prove to yourself that you’re efficient, build confidence in your ability to finish tasks you start, and self-affirm that you follow through on your ideas. Finishing that book this month reflects confirms that you value yourself enough to expand your mind, learn, and expand your knowledge base. Eventually, through enough consistent repetition, these rituals into unconscious habits that you do effortlessly in daily life.
Create And Consistently Log Your Progress
You can’t manage what you don’t measure – your finances, calorie and step counts, workouts, productivity, etc. Tracking data related to your habits – such as your spending habits, eating or workout patterns, writing word count, and task completion – on a given day or week – allows you to understand and analyze your current behavior. What habit cues, environmental or other situational factors are keeping you from sticking to the current task at hand? Do you leave your running shoes stuffed in the back of the closet? Junk food in the house? Work from bed or with your phone by your side? Are you avoiding certain emotions? Does this data change when you’re stressed or tired?
Awareness is the first step towards redirected action. Analyze these data points to see your pitfalls and strategize how to help yourself.
Take Temptations Out Of Sight
Set yourself up to win. Get the phone away from your workspace, remove any junk food or soda from the house, delete apps, or silence notifications from people who distract you from your goals. Self-discipline becomes significantly easier when you have to take additional steps to indulge in your vices. Replace these temptations with helpful cues to help you build healthier habits that lead to self-discipline. Give yourself visual cues to move you toward your goals. Keep a journal with a pen next to your bed. Leave your workout clothes and shoes out near your bed. Write a quick to-do list right before finishing work for the following day, so it’s easier to jump into the first task right away the next morning. Cut up some produce or do a 30-60 minute meal prep once a week to eat more healthful meals. Find ways to make it easier to stay on track than give in to temptation.
Find Indulgences To Help You Focus On Your Goals
Self-discipline shouldn’t feel like deprivation – of certain foods, pastimes, or activities you enjoy. Buy cute workout clothes you feel confident in. Create the most dance-worthy playlist. Make it a priority to buy your favorite fruits and vegetables every week. Rotate a selection of your favorite healthy meals. Leave your sunscreen out – front and center – on your bathroom counter. Find a big, beautiful water bottle to keep on your desk. Purchase aesthetic notebooks, pens, planners, journals, and other office organization items. To make self-discipline feel like second nature, you need to marry indulgences and your desire to meet your goals. Discover the habits that work for you and find small ways to make these tasks more enjoyable.
Go easy on yourself. Build one habit at a time. Self-discipline is like a muscle. It requires time to build and grows in increments. Try to stay on track and more focused than yesterday. Your only competition is your former self. Find pleasure in the process. Focus on the immediate task in front of you while also keeping your future self in mind.

Every great life that you have admired has one thing in common:
It was built.
A decision was made.
Effort was applied.
Grit was applied.
Discipline was applied.
Hard times were pushed through and overcome.
It's not just you that has to do these things.
It's everyone.
You.
Me.
Everyone.
Nobody "falls into" a great life because of chance or circumstance.
That is the single biggest misunderstanding that people have because it makes people believe they don't have to fight for it because it's chance.
It's not chance.
Nothing exceptional comes without you fighting for every inch of it.
Anyone who suggests different doesn't have a life you would want for yourself.
Guaranteed.

{ 19.12.24 } · { 50 days of routine } · { day 50 }
Hey guys, sorry it's been a while since I did a proper challenge update! I don't really see the use of doing a to-done list when I already have a to-do list I cross things off of. But my finals are now over and I can finally rest! I know I haven't been very consistent about posting, but thank you all for the support during my worst moments this semester, especially @academicfever and @lazar-codes for your encouraging comments and @zzzzzestforlife for knocking sense into me when I'm going insane 😅🥺💗
And, um, I also kind of have a big-ish life update...
I've decided to not transfer to health sciences anymore (which means i get to return to a lighter course load and catch up on the rest of my life woohoo), and I also won't jump straight into grad school after life sciences. There's a bunch of reasons for it. Most of them are just practical, from finances to "I just don't feel like I understand enough about how the real world (outside of formal education) works" and since the only way to learn is to live (that's another quote from the midnight library hehe), I've decided to do just that. And so if I ever do grad school (which I, right now, still hope is in future me's cards...if I can by that point actually, finally exercise the agency to do it and my surrounding life circumstances and my mental/emotional state make more sense), I will be doing it as a mature/non-traditional student a couple years down the line. The idea that you should have done xyz by certain ages is just...not very useful at some point. In a way, it's useful for planning ahead, but ultimately, it's completely arbitrary. It's something I've been slowly coming to terms with this year and will no doubt have to come to terms with again and again throughout my life.
In the meantime, I'll still be moving forward, just not in the way I expected, and it doesn't mean I'm falling behind while my peers go on to complete various higher degrees straight out of undergrad. It's going to be okay. I will make the most out of every opportunity I have so that I still end up with the fulfilling life I seek.
Anyways, I'm signing off for the year now. Wishing you the happiest of holidays! 🎄💗
See you some time in 2025! 🙂

Do you know how to fake a smile?
If you don't, learn.
The biggest lesson I've had in 2023 was to learn how to pretend everything was perfect with me when it wasn't. I had to go to class with two girls who had completely isolated me and then hurt me. I had to sit next to them and work and pretend as though I didn't care, when really, I was burning up with anger.
Learning how to present a calm and happy front is incredibly important. People don't like to see your messy feelings. That's for your mom and your best friend to see. The moment you show an ounce of weakness, especially to someone who has it out for you, they pounce on it and use it to their advantage. You'll be labeled hysterical, emotional, too sensitive because you can't take a joke Rachel made about you to everyone in class including your crush.
There are places where you cannot give any cutting replies to the people who bully or hurt you, like your workplace. You have to smile, and sit down, or plot revenge where nobody can blame you (my favourite tactic).
But in situations where if you try to show how you were hurt and it's only going to backfire for you, learn to make peace with the fact that all you can do is make the situation better for yourself.
So,
Big smile. Keep the peace. Take your revenge in silence.

sooooo that girl content? 👀
What do you think is the ‘checklist’ to be one?
Waking up at 6 AM or earlier every morning no matter what, and going to bed earlier as a result
Daily Bible and prayer time for at least 30 minutes, preferably longer. And intentionally pray multiple times a day
Self-discipline
Consistency
Routine and habits
Delayed gratification
Daily exercise
Highly limit social media- assess where it adds actual value to your life and cut everything else out ruthelessly
Asking who you want to be. Then seeing what steps you need to take to get there. Then do it.
Blocking out distractions
Saying no to people
Have a clean space
Drink water and eat healthy foods
Only have friends who bring actual value to your life. You don’t need thirty friends. A handful of ride-or-dies is all you need
Having a simple effective beauty routine. Rather than jumping on beauty trends or obsessing over your appearence, figure out how to enhance your natural beauty and stick with it. Genuinely teach yourself to love the way you look and be confident in it without becoming vain.
Treating yourself with the value and respect that God sees in you
Having beauty (inner and outer) and intelligence be your default setting
Keep your cards close to your chest, only share required information with people you trust
Always be learning. If you’re in school, achieve academic excellence. If you’re not, still be learning things each day and filling your mind with knowledge. Read books and articles, and listen to podcasts and watch informative movies and videos
People will always be smarter than you and wiser than you. Surround yourself with those people and ask them to teach you
Intentionally look for the beauty in everything and be thankful for it
You can always grow and improve more in every area
Set yearly, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily goals and break down the steps to achieve them and follow through. Focus on the proccess
Devote yourself to the things you love
Focus on the mindset > the aesthetic
Stop consuming self-improvement content and actually doing the hard work that self-improvement requires
Don’t tie yourself to anyone’s opinions but God and people who also follow His will
Work on your dreams. Actually work on them, don't just dream about them. If it seems impossible, do whatever you have to do to make it achievable
Kick laziness and procrastination out the window
Intentionally set aside time to rest and make sure that the time you rest is actually restful and fills you up. And when you’re not resting, you’re working.
Make a list of your priorities, in order. The ones at the top are what you spend the most time on, and things that aren't on the list don't deserve your attention
Hold yourself accountable for what you do every day. Celebrate your wins, and acknowledge your losses. What do you fail at, figure out why, and then take the steps to make sure that it won't happen again
Take care of your outer physical body and your mental health
Quit the excuses. There is a difference between having an actual legitimate reason for not doing something and just trying to beg off how you've failed yourself.
Develop a good work ethic
Do not shy away from hard conversations that make you uncomfortable and force you to change the way you think
Do small acts of beauty and self-care each day that only take a few minutes, but make you feel good and excite you
Forgive yourself for your past mistakes and failures but don't let it happen again
Be kind and humble and loving to everyone. But people who haven't proven themselves to you haven't earned anything from you
Motivation is wonderful. Find it, use it, harness it. But it isn't constant. Be able to work just as much with it as you can without it
Praise God for the work He has done in you and the prayers He has answered. What you have right now? That just used to be a pleading cry for help. Thank Him for it, it came from Him and not you, and make sure everyone else knows it.
Develop speech and debate skills
Develop a workout routine that covers all the bases and that you genuinely enjoy doing. The goal of working out should not be to punish yourself or your body, but to love to move your body and get physically stronger and more capable.
No screens for the first or last hour of the day
And finally, submit everything that you do to the Lord and ensure that it is His will. And if you are ever unsure if He wants you to take a course of action or not, just step out in faith and see what happens.
I know that this list sounds exhausting and utterly impossible. But it isn't. It has taken me three years from the time I decided to start caring about myself in this way and becoming a hard-working disciplined 'Christian That Girl' to today, but I am here. Every single thing on this list I actively do, I'm not just listing it to sound better than I am. I'm not perfect at it and I mess up sometimes. But I do intentionally do each and every one of these things. And guess what? I started seeing results from the immediate things after days. And a lot of these longer term things are only a few months of hard work away.
At the end of the day, if you don't have something you want that you could've had, that's because you chose comfort in the moment over success in the future. Of course, life and tragedy happens, but for way more things than you realize, YOU are in control of your life and everything that you do has consequences. It is up to you to decide if they will be positive or negative. Don't look back kicking yourself saying 'I wish I had spent my time doing that.' Instead, look back and say, 'Praise God I spent my time doing that.'

Habits sowing update:
24th February 2025
There's positivity surrounding me, yes. There's also some struggle, I slipped up again for a bit with my routine and daily rituals but I was going through my previous blog entries (thankfully none of those are depressive and sad, perks of being an optimistic and persistent) and it made me realize all I am capable of, yay!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We are in our habits sowing quarter, so we aren't panicking about being perfect, every day is a chance to do better. An opportunity to show up for myself from a better perspective.
I have successfully reduced my screentime to this average which was 9-7hrs average per week, so that's a win.
Tumblr media
My month end cycle and period is here so we can conclude what areas I need to work harder on (in case I forget) & some goals I have for March:
waking up at 4:30am
reading 150-200pgs everyday with break days
writing 500-1000 words a day (researched or freestyled)
working out 3-5 times a week, bare minimum for 20mins
These are some qualities I want to inculcate for life, not just now. I want these habits to build overtime and this year so that I can be a better person in one years time.
I hope everyone's doing well and is healthy xx <3

studying methods + tips⋆.ೃ࿔*:・✍🏽
Tumblr media
LEITNER SYSTEM ; an effective way to study with flashcards
create flashcards
all ur flashcards should begin with box one or whatever box number (check the example)
for example ; in a box/pouch you'd label it ; box one cards to be reviewed everyday, box two cards to be reviewed every other day etc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
review each flashcard, quiz urself on what u recall/explain the info on each side
if u answered correctly move the card to box two and if u answered incorrectly, move the card to box one
the time frame should be dependent on the amount of time before ur quiz/test that u have to study.
HOT TIP ; treat studying like it's a job and you're getting paid for it. work agreed hours and take arranged breaks as though its a real job.
MORE WAYS TO STUDY ;
add color or diagram your notes and if ur not taking notes, TAKE NOTES
summarize your notes and summarize concepts (if u can explain a concept, thats how you'll know if u studied it enough)
make a concept map
pretend to be a teacher and ur explaining a concept
HOW TO MOTIVATE YOURSELF TO STUDY ;
i watch time-lapse studying videos to motivate myself to study bcuz then it feels like im studying with another person. or i'll set up my phone and film my own time-lapse of me studying to motivate myself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
implementing something that u love into studying. for me i love pink and just being a girly girl so i implement pink into my studying by using super cute stationary and that rly motivates me to use my pink tools.
i dont always study in the same locations, sometimes i'll study in a cafe or in the library instead of just studying in my room bcuz sometimes, all we need is a change of scenery.

I'm always thriving in the things I love—learning new languages, exploring endless hobbies & just constantly growing .
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how quickly time seems to pass & it's a reminder to make the most of every moment. With the winter vacation still here, I'm using this precious time to focus on 3 main goals before the new semester starts:
1. Chinese Learning: As I’ve already been learning Chinese, my goal is to speak and understand it fluently.
2. Comic Creation: (bringing my comic ideas to life )sketching and working on my comic
3. Yt : consistency
By focusing on these goals now, I’m building momentum and making significant progress. Once the university resumes, I’ll already have a solid routine in place, which will help me balance my studies and personal goals smoothly.

Comic Creation: Start sketching the ideas , aim to complete the first 5–6 pages today
Yt : Film 2 clips & edit
Take a refreshing shower
Take my Snoo for a walk around 5 pm
[ I’ll add more once I tick off a couple of things on my Today's priorities ]
Today's Wins ~

Took a refreshing shower
Learned Chinese for 20 mins
( I've come up with a brilliant idea -learning Chinese while doing house chores too , I’ll just pop on some audio, it’s the perfect way to use my time more efficiently, even while getting things done(allowing me to learn even while multi-tasking )˚˖𓍢ִ໋🍒✧˚.⋆
Completed adding the phrases to" phrases to embody in 2025" ( will add more later )
Brainstormed my comic story and characters, and tomorrow, I’m all set to start sketching them into reality!
