Hopping over to the sofa, you hold back a cry as you Natalie stands in front of you, her arms crossed.
“Natalie, it’s fine.” You assure her, not daring to look down at your ankle as her brows remain knitted together in concern.
“Babe, I think it’s broken.” Natalie states with a short sigh, looking past you and over to David. “We’ve got to get her to a hospital, now.”
“It’s fine, it’s a sprain honestly.” You comment, trying to stand up on both feet as an involuntary cry sounds from your lips and Natalie forces you back down, her hand holding yours tightly.
“Nope, that isn’t a sprain.” Natalie tells you, watching as your jaw clenches. “David put the fucking camera down and go start the car.” She yells across the room, taking you by surprise.
“I know I’m in a lot of pain right now but that was hot.” You mutter to Natalie, smiling up to her, catching her eyes rolling.
The front slams open and David runs back in. “I’ve got the car ready, you good to go, Y/n?” David asks hesitantly, his eyes widening at the sight of your ankle now swelling dramatically.
“As ready as I’ll ever be.” You breathe deeply as you stand up, keeping your foot up as Natalie wraps her arm around your waist, helping you toward the front door. “God, this is shit.” You chuckle as David appears on your other side, helping you out the front door to his Tesla.
“You fell down three flights of stairs at Scott’s house, Y/n.” Natalie reminds you. “You’re lucky.”
Shrugging your shoulder, you slide into the backseat of David’s car whilst Natalie sits in the front. “But you got it on camera, right, Dave?” You laugh, hearing David chuckle in response whilst Natalie glares at him, cutting his laugh short.
“You do realise you’re going to have a cast babe.” Turning her head, she pouts at the sight of you in the backseat, spread out with your leg resting on the other seat as you hold back tears forming in your eyes.
“Yep.” You curtly reply, your adrenaline now wearing off. “Are we almost there? I think I’m gonna pass out.”
Natalie stretches her arm out, grabbing your hand in hers as she rubs her thumb over your hand. “We’re almost there, okay. Just keep breathing.” Natalie softly tells you, the soothing motion providing some comfort as you watch the city pass you by.
“We’re here.” David announces, and you sigh in relief as they both help you out of the car.
“Hey, David?” You speak up before you hobble through the doors.
“You okay? I’m not hurting you am I?” David asks, but you shake your head.
“You better have your camera on you, this is content gold.” You joke, and Natalie shakes her head in disbelief.
“Sometimes I worry I’m dating a David clone.” Natalie states as she looks to you.
“But you love me anyway?” You pout as you enter the ER, David leaving your side to go and speak to the front desk.
“Yeah,” Natalie squeezes your side lightly. “whatever you say.”

Perfect Fit :David Dobrik:
Tumblr media
Summary: David ponders on how easily you fit into it
David was watching Y/N again, sitting in his living room he watched as his girlfriend managed to perfectly fit into the chaos of his life. Laying on the couch he watched as she easily navigated the turbulent conversation with Jason and Trisha while skipping around the kitchen cooking at the same time.
He used to be nervous about his friends showing their full crazy around her, the sweet, calm and normal girl, he was scared the constant bickering, roudyness and general craziness would scare her off.
See for the first month of dating she was just his, she didn’t know his friends, never heard of his channel. It was like he found his own little space in her apartment, where he was normal, not famous just himself. She bought out a calmer side of him, a side he liked.
Y/N glanced his way with a smile and small wink as Trisha continued her story about her and Jason’s ruined Hawaii vacation. She looked perfect, clad in a blue clickbate hoodie, curly brown hair bouncing around her shoulders, small shorts showing of her tanned soft legs.
He looked around at his house, he had always loved the place surrounded by comfort but as Jason had said, it was a bachelor pad. Now small items dotted the surfaces, trinkets that meant the world to him, a small white orchid lived next to his bonsai tree, his previously bare kitchen now held a full wooden spice rack and the couch had 3 different fluffy blankets strewn over it.
He had worried for a while that she wouldn’t fit in, that maybe his friends would overpower her quiter personality. As much as he had truly believed she would be the one, he knew it would be doomed if they didn’t get on, his friends are his family.
Watching now as she sipped her tea, smiling and laughing as she listened to another crazy Trish story, the smell of her homemade apple cake wafting delishously through the house, he knew she was it for him.
The boy stood from the couch taking the blanket he was wrapped in as he plodded over to wrap himself around her resting his head on hers, she smiled brightly up at him as he placed a soft kiss on her hair.
He would marry her someday. Someday soon.

The sky glazed a deep purple as you drove down the freeway with the roof off in your convertible car so that you could feel the wind on your face. You knew David hated to be the passenger but for you he would do anything. The music on full blast, the light heat of the Californian night, the stars shining overhead; the tune changed and so began the chime of your favourite song. Suddenly overwhelmed with confidence and excitement, “I love you.” You confessed.
David simply smiled. “I love you too.”
And so it began.

I Deserve Better
Jeff Wittek Imagine
Jeff x reader
Tumblr media
Y/n P.O.V
I was over at David's house, he was filming something in the back so we went to go see what he was up to. I just watched not wanting to be David's next victim.
Once david got all the footage he needed we were all heading back inside, before i could enter the house someone lightly grabbed at my hand. I turned my head to see Jeff, i haven't spoken much to him since i caught him in bed with another chick.
"Can we talk?" He asks looking nervous.
I dont say anything i just cross my arms and nod yes.
He stays quite for a while looking like he's considering what to say. "I miss you...us." he says staring down at me.
I stare up at him with a blank expression not knowing how to reply to him.
"We used to be inseparable we used to talk about everything and anything, we had the greatest times together. Now look at us." He says.
"Don't do that, don't sit here and act like you don't know what happened to us. You! You fucking happened! You forgot you fucking cheated on me! You did this to us Jeff, you ruined everything we had." I yell getting angrier and angrier.
"Y/n-" he sighed.
"No Jeff you hurt me and you know that i've been there for you through everything and you go out with your friends and you couldn't keep your dick in your pants, i've tried to be the bigger person specially with our friends so its not awkward but here you are acting like i just switched up on you. I'm tired Jeff, i'm tired of feeling like this, i'm tired of going back home crying because everytime i see you i think of you and her together again."
"I said i was sorry." He says his voice raising a little.
"Sorry?!? Your sorry?!?! Yeah Jeff cause you saying sorry for cheating on me is going to fix everything, it makes me feel so much better. Fuck you and your sorry Jeff! You hurt me and you're the one getting pissed because i won't take your fucking sorry, no i'm sorry Jeff i'm sorry i ever fucking trusted you, that i ever loved and cared for you. I gave you everything, i poured my heart and soul into you and our relationship and yet that wasn't good enough for you. I deserved better than THIS Jeff. "
"Y/n look i know I fucked up and i know sorry isn't going to make up for what i did to you. Trust me not a second goes by where im not regretting what i did to you, i hate that i hurt you Y/n, because you do deserve better. You deserve the world." He says stepping closer to me.
"Then why do it Jeff, why cheat? If you were happy with us together like you said you were." I asked generally wanting to know since i never asked being to angry and upset to ask him anything
He was silent for awhile "I-I don't know, i wish i had an answer like you deserve but i dont. I was buzzed and she was all over me and it just happened." He says avoiding looking me in the eye.
"Then you never loved me-" i start but he interrupts me.
"No i did, i do ofcourse i do love you Y/n, how could i not love you? You are perfect inside and out there is no one better then you." He say hands reaching out for mine but i quickly step back.
"Bullshit Jeff and you know it you don't cheat on someone you love. Just admit it Jeff... admit i wasn't good enough admit i wasn't what you wanted... what you needed. Can you at least do that? Why keep lying Jeff? Just stop lying it won't change anything there will never be an us again so just tell me the truth so i can move on with my life." I say getting frustrated.
"Babe come on don't say that... i'm not lying to you Y/n. It had nothing to do with you, you are more than enough. I just fucked up, i'm a fucking idiot."
"Yeah you are, look Jeff i can't do this i can't sit here with you and everyone like i'm not hurting, its to much. I'll go they were your friends first anyways." I say turning to walk back into David's house to get my purse and keys.
"You dont have to do that, they're your friends as much as mine." He says voice low, sounding like he was going to crack any second.
It hurt seeing the tears in his eyes because after everything he's done to me i still love him. I will always have love for him but i deserve better, i deserve someone who will have eyes for me and me only. I deserve to be someone's top priority.
"Goodbye Jeff wish you the best of luck." I say looking back one last time before stepping inside and saying bye to the everyone for possibly the last time.

our little secret
Tumblr media
person: Jeff requested: yes  - you guys are dating and you’ve kept it from the vlog squad and it gets revealed on the skotcast and like Todd and Scott are offended that they didn’t know because you’ve know them for 10 years genre: fluff, angst  cw: nope
I’ve never been good at keeping secrets. If I am excited about something I want to be able to tell everyone. When Jeff and I started hooking up, I was fine with not telling everyone. I understood where Jeff was coming from. At that point, we weren’t sure what was going to happen. I’ve gotten used to guys just getting tired of me and being in the same friend group, we didn’t want to make a big deal out of it if it were to end. When Jeff told me that he had real feelings for me, things felt different. I was so excited I wanted to call everyone I knew. So, when Jeff told me he still wasn’t ready to tell the guys that we were dating yet, it was tough.
Natalie figured it out when Jeff and I kept showing places at the same time, or she’d catch his hand resting on the small of my back a little too long. At a party she saw Jeff give me a quick kiss when we thought no one was watching. She ran over with a huge grin on her face.
“I knew something was going on between you two!” Natalie screamed.
Jeff immediately covered her mouth and shushed her.
“We’re not telling people yet!” Jeff whispered.
“Why?” Natalie said matching his volume. “Everyone will be so happy for you.”
“I just want to be able to enjoy spending time with my girlfriend in peace. These guys make a huge deal out of everything and film things. I don’t want this relationship to be as public as my last one. That’s the reason it fell apart.”
I looked over at Jeff and felt my heart swell. With how hard his last break up was, I understood why he just wanted to keep this to himself for a while. I wanted our relationship to have a strong foundation as well. I wanted this to last.
Natalie helped us keep our relationship on the down low for the next few months. Jeff and I were incredibly happy, but it was getting hard not being able to tell our friends, especially Scott and Todd. They are Jeff and I’s best friends and they are the people that introduced me and Jeff in the first place.
Todd has been one of my closest friends in the world for almost 10 years. We went to college together and bartended at the same bar. We would compete over who got the most tips and he would come to my aid when the gross guys that frequented our bar got a little too persistent. He’s been one of the most consistent people in my life and I’ve been lying to him for months.
One day before Jeff, Scott, and Todd were doing the Skotcast, Todd and I were talking about my life.
“I know you like Jeff, Y/N,” Todd approached me.
“What?” I said, nervous.
“I know you too well, dude. I see the way you look at him.”
“You’re crazy,” I said walking away.
As they did the podcast, the subject of love lives came up. Scott was talking about how to maintain a healthy relationship.
“I need a notepad,” Todd said. “I gotta take notes.”
I was just watching and laughing as I always do.
“Jeff, we’ve talked about hard, public break ups before.” Todd added.
“Yeah, Todd, we have. Honestly, I’m so scared of public break ups that it made me scared of dating period,” Jeff said.
“Do you think you're ready? Maybe it’s time to put yourself out there a bit?” Todd said winking at me.
I had a bad feeling that this wouldn’t go well.
“Well, to be honest with you all here,” Jeff started slowly. “I didn’t think I was ready until I met, Y/N.”
There was a lengthy silence in the room. It felt like it went on for hours, when in reality it was only about 15 seconds.
“Do we have to edit that out?” Scott whispered.
“Y/N have been dating for a few months now and it’s been great. Every fear that I had is gone. She’s the most wonderful woman.”
Todd laughed uncomfortably.
“That’s crazy because, Y/N would have told me!” Todd said in disbelief.
“Yeah, I mean Y/N is always keeping things from me so I’m used to it,” Scott said shrugging.
“Alright, guys, maybe we should take a moment,” Jeff said standing up and putting down his mic.
Todd immediately got up and walked over to me. Jeff and Scott followed close behind.
“Dude... why?” Todd said crossing his arms.
I started to speak, but Jeff immediately cut in.
“Don’t get mad at Y/N. It’s my fault. I was so scared of being in a public relationship that I didn’t want to tell anyone. I wanted us to keep it to ourselves,” Jeff said putting his arm around my waist. “So, I could fall in love with her without people telling us how to live our lives.”
“Oh, you two are too cute for me to be mad!” Scott said.
“It’s just... Y/N is like a sister to me. It hurts that you couldn’t just tell us, but I understand. I am happy for you guys,” Todd said going to help Scott reset for the podcast.
“Surprise?” Jeff said turning to face me with his arms around my waist.
“I love you too,” I said leaning in to kiss him.
He gave me a sweet passionate kiss back and put his hands on my cheeks.
“I’m really nervous, but I feel like I can take on the world with you,” Jeff said before kissing my forehead and going back to work.
I watched the boys do their podcast with a permanent smile on my face, feeling like the luckiest girl in the world.

Smile For The Camera ↠ Jeff Wittek
Plot: Jonah joking about your private parts and Jeff flips.
Request: hi i was wondering if you could write a imagine where jonah talks about the reader the way he does with corinna in the most recent vlog but the reader is dating jeff and he finds out and flips? thank you i loveeee ur imagines so much
A/n: she posted again????? sheesh, my apologies if this is shit, i don’t expect this to be any good as i’ve been slacking with the good stuff lately, but hey i’m trying :)))) this is based on the vlog “he confesses love to my best friend (cute)” where jonah talks about corinna’s tits, exept corinna is you and jeff is your boyfriend!
You, David and your boyfriend, Jeff, were all headed to the Antonyan’s house to spend the evening filming some new bits for David’s next vlog. David had picked you and Jeff up at Jeff’s apartment, and you were all set and ready to go.
“Did y/n tell you what Jonah said about her the other day?” David asked Jeff as he looked at you in the rearview mirror with a small smirk on his lips.
Catching you a little off guard, your heart skipped a tiny beat and you knew exactly what David was talking about. You anxiously shifted in your seat as you swallowed hard, hoping David wasn’t going to say anything.
“No, what’d he say?” Jeff questioned and looked at David.
You leaned forward in the seat and rested a hand on Jeff’s shoulder. “It’s nothing.”
“C’mon, I wanna hear. What’d he say?” he chuckled and looked at you and David with a funny expression on his face.
David cleared his throat as a big smile fell onto his face, excited to get a reaction out of Jeff. “He said he jerked off to your girlfriend’s tits, and I caught it on camera.” he laughed and threw his head back.
Jeff furrowed his eyebrows and looked at David. “What?! He said that?” he exclaimed as his eyes quickly turned dark, glued to David.
“It’s not that serious. It was just a joke, babe.” you stepped in, trying to calm your boyfriend down and assure him it was nothing but a bit for the vlog.
However, Jeff didn’t care, and didn’t care much about what you had to say in Jonah’s defense either.
“I can’t believe he fucking said that. What a dick. I’m gonna fuck him up.” he quietly muttered as the anger was evident in his tone.
What felt like an eternity was only just 10 minutes, but alas you had finally pulled up to the house. Jeff was the first one to unbuckle his seat belt and open the car door, getting out of the car as fast as possible.
You swallowed hard, once again, as you watched your boyfriend pace back and forth with both eyebrows furrowed, right outside the car.
“See what you fucking did, Dobrik?” you spat and rolled your eyes at David as you unbuckled your seatbelt.
David looked at you and smirked. “It’s all about content, baby.” he annoyingly smiled and unbuckled his seatbelt, too.
You grabbed Jeff’s hand in an attempt of holding him back and avoid anything bad to happen, but Jeff’s grip on your hand was loose and cold, too distracted by the surroundings to pay you any attention.
Three knocks on the door and Suzy finally opened it.
“Jonah, what the fuck is up?!” Jeff asked obnoxiously loud as he gave a very fake smile, rushing towards Jonah.
Jonah quickly turned around, his eyes wide as can be, and looked at Jeff in surprise. “Hey, man-“
Before Jonah could finish his sentence, Jeff had already spoken up about the situation.
“What the fuck have you been saying about my girlfriend’s tits, huh? You think that’s funny? Say that one more fucking time and you better sleep with one eye open.” Jeff hissed through gritted teeth as he tightly wrapped his arm around Jonah’s shoulders.
Jonah swallowed hard and his eyes landed on you. “It was just a joke! I was kidding, deadass!“ he explained, holding both of his hands on Jeff’s arm as Jeff’s grip around Jonah quickly tightened.
Jeff looked down at Jonah and squeezed him one more time before letting him go. Jonah stepped backward, almost tripping on the carpet as he had started to get a bit light-headed, and cleared his throat.
“Oh, yeah? Well, it’s not fucking funny! Shut your ass up before I do something that’s gonna send me back to jail, you hear me?!” Jeff threatened and pointed a finger in Jonah’s direction.
Jonah rested his hands on his thighs as he bent forward, trying to catch his breath as he swallowed hard, and nodded. “S-sorry, sorry, man. Won’t happen again.” he frantically apologized as he looked at Jeff with fear in his eyes.
Your heart was racing at a million miles per hour, watching your boyfriend put your friend in a chokehold over a stupid joke as your other friend was smiling wide and big behind the big camera.
Pressing your lips together in anger, you turned to David with a serious look on your face. “That good enough content for you, David?” you hissed and lightly slapped him across the chest.
You purposely bumped your shoulder into David’s as you walked past him and over to Jeff, grabbing his hand to step outside for a bit, allowing him to cool down before anything escalated.

Angel vs Devil (dd/imagine)
Tumblr media
a/n: okay this gif was coincidental but it made me happy omg anywayy: this is a story based off of Monster by Dodie, ngl it’s loosley based off of it. (y/n) is a devil while David is an angel and they both are the voice for a young boy named Jackson, although, when the boy finds a girl he likes, the angel and devil team up to make it happen...
word count: 1,836
“Your boring, you know that?” She told him, tugging on the fuzzy red fabric. “Excuse me! I think I am quite exciting!” He said, fixing his halo in the mirror. She sat in front of him, watching her horns poke through her brown straight hair. She wore a red sweater and black jeans with motorcycle boots, she watched him as he slipped into his blue suede shoes. “I call left shoulder today!” He laughed. The shoes matched his white shirt and powder blue pants quite nicely, though she would never admit that. “David, it's the same shoulder every day. You know that!” She sighed. “Well since when were you all for following the rules,” He said smiling. “Rules? David, it's not a rule, its common sense!’ She exclaimed. David’s smile fell, “Alright, right shoulder it is. I guess that's a sign” He said, brushing his hair. “A sign of what?” She said, her eyes squinting. “I’m on the RIGHT shoulder, which means goodness is always right,” He said, putting his hands on his hips. “David,” “Yes, (Y/N)” “You are delusional,” She said smiling. She put on her red lipstick and they were both finally ready for work. “Okay, suns about to come up,” David said. “We should get going,” (Y/N) said grabbing what they would need from the little bungalow they set up each night. David closed it all down and the two of them went to there person. Jackson Sault, a thirteen-year-old A honor roll student who has never said a curse word in his entire life. David credits himself with Jackson's success, although Jackson did have some little lies, which (Y/N) was proudly responsible for. David and (Y/N) flew down onto Jackson’s shoulders. He never knew they were there, it was more of a psychological feeling to him, but they saw everything he saw. As the sun came up, Jacksons 6am alarm went off, he needed to be in school by 8:15 and the bus came at 7:30. As his body stirred, David and (Y/N) adapted to his movements. “Ugh” Jackson groaned. (Y/N) was determined to get Jackson to do some odd stuff today, (Y/N) didn’t care about Jackson's own movements, she cared about David later. Some days, she could get David so riled up that he wouldn’t do anything but watch TV when they got back to the hut they shared. “Sleep in” (Y/N) murmured into Jackson's ear. “Just 5 more minutes!” She said. “No no, you gotta get up! You wanted to make pancakes today remember,” David said, trying to get Jackson to wake himself up. David did this every day, (Y/N) never let him have it easy. Yet, David wasn't complaining, somedays he could get her so obsessed with this, it almost became... cute? Ultimately, Jackson slept in for 5 more minutes, which turned into a solid twenty. “Yes! 1 for 1!! Take that Dobrik!” She giggled out to him, sticking her head up from Jackson's shoulder. David just gave a simple smile, yet on the inside, his heart was rushing against his skin, feeling a wave of pulse hit him. When Jackson finally got up, it was more of a routine. He got dressed, ate breakfast and put his shoes on. The bus would be on its way and Jackson grabbed his school bag and headed to the stop. There was the girl that Jackson currently found himself acquainted with, Karmen. “Psst, (Y/N),” David called out to (Y/N). Karmen waved to Jackson. (Y/N) looked over to David, nodding. Jackson waved back. “Hey, Jack!” She said. Jackson smiled. “Say her name” David whispered to Jackson. “Hey Karmen,” He smiled. (Y/N) watched intently as David helped the young boy make the right choices in aiding Karmen to the bus and in a bus seat, even talking to her on the way to school. As the day went on, both (Y/N) and David made advances and disadvances. Finally, Jackson was laying down in his bed to sleep, peaceful as can be and a resting pulse, when (Y/N) and David pulled away to go home. “Well, that was fun!” David said, taking his shoes off at the door. (Y/N) walked into the house with her shoes still on, dirt getting everywhere. “Meh, same old shit,” She said, zipping her boots off. “I mean you got him to cheat on his science quiz so,” David said, trying to cheer (Y/N) up. “Yeah,” (Y/N) said. David made a weird face sitting next to her on the couch, “Okay, what’s wrong?” He asked her. “What? Nothing's wrong,” She said. “You’re lying, I can tell,” He said. She sighed, “I just feel weird,” She said. “Weird how?” “Like, my stomach hurts, it's like a pit in my stomach and when I think of Karmen and Jackson my body tingles a bit,” “Your nervous,” David said. “You care about Jackson and Karmen,” His eyes went wide. “What? I don’t even care about Jackson!” She argued. “No, you, you’re feeling nervous for him!” He said, jumping up and down. (Y/N) got off the couch, “You are crazy! I-i don’t feel those things!” She said. “I think you do” He smiled. “No, your forgetting who I am! I don’t feel things, I want one thing and its to watch this kid ruin his life,” She huffed, turning her back around, feeling the spikes grow out of her back. David came over to her, sitting her on the couch. “Take a breath (Y/N), your spikes are showing,” He said. She took a breath and let go. “I don’t feel these things” She stated coldly, her eyes a bloody red. Although, she was lying to David. She felt all the things and more, sure she was a devil, but some devils have feelings, some have changed of heart. David huffed, “Well, I have an idea. You may hate it, but If you could dig a little deep and find some love for Jackson, it may work.” For the next two hours, David spent time explaining to (Y/N) his proposal. It took some time, and some more fights, until ultimately, she agreed. The next day approached, and as (Y/N) and David sat upon Jackson's shoulders, the two were ready. The plan: To make Jackson and Karmen fall in love. “Okay, ready?” David asked as the clock was 1 minute away from 6. “I guess,” (Y/N) said. She was unsure where she would come into this. Jackson couldn’t bully Karmen to get her to love him, she couldn’t hurt Karmen, she couldn’t do anything bad! Bad was all (Y/N) was used too. Jackson woke up, stretching out his arms. David got him to roll out of bed, get dressed and do his hair. (Y/N) stayed quiet, just watching David really help out Jackson. She can’t say that it wasn’t sweet of David, she admired how his smile would grow wide every time Jackson did something that David had wanted him too. David would steal glances at (Y/N) every now and then, making sure she was okay. He knew she felt lost in this situation and he wanted to make sure she had a say in something, so he led Jackson into the kitchen with 10 minutes until the bus comes. “Cereal!” David said. “You're gonna be hungry if you don’t eat it!” David exclaimed. Jackson looked at the time and then (Y/N) thought of Karmen! “No! No!, grab a roll and eat it at the bus stop or something!” She said. David sent a memory of Karmen to Jackson and he did as (Y/N) said. She thought David had lost it, although, David wanted her to feel good. As odd as it was, the Devil had just done something good while the angel had done something bad. Jackson went outside to see Karmen waiting there as usual. David mustered up the courage for Jackson to say hi, (Y/N) had to hide her wants to make Jackson say “Lets date, stupid!” Karmen waved to Jackson, and he walked over to her. “Morning Karmen,” He said, chewing on his roll. “Hey, how did you sleep?” The conversation went on and on, boring (Y/N) but making David swoon. As they stepped onto the bus, Greg pulled Karmen’s hair. “Hey!” She shouted. This alerted (Y/N) and David, they had never seen someone be mean to Karmen. “Wow, the cow does speak!” Greg said. (Y/N) began to seethe, David was confused looking all around himself. Jackson suddenly didn’t know what to do as Karmen’s hair was pulled again. “Hit him,” (Y/N) said to Jackson. David was still trying to find a rationale. “Hit him, Jackson!” (Y/N) yelled. That’s what he did. Hit him. Greg went to the floor and clutched his jaw, he got up and hit Jackson back. Then, the brawl began. “Left side!” (Y/N) said. He did as she said, guiding him through the fight, so much so that he won. The bus driver broke them up, told them both to sit and called the principle. “Jackson, are you okay?” Karmen asked him, pulling him into her seat. “Yeah, it was nothing,” He lied. Oh, it was everything, poor Jackson felt his left hand as heavy as a weight, with busted knuckles. “You didn’t have to do that,” Karmen said. “But, I wanted too. No one should say things that aren’t true,” Jackson smiled. From here, David took over. Jackson reached out to her hand, “Besides, your beautiful no matter what,” She smiled, grabbing his hand back. As they got to the school the principle waited outside, to grab both Jackson and Greg. Although, Jackson felt no hurt, even when his Mom was nervous, with Karmen in his mind it was all okay. That night, in the bungalow, as (Y/N) and David got ready for bed, they felt ecstatic. “We did that!” She laughed. “I have never seen you this happy about love,” He said to her, passing her a glass of water. “Well, I just never had the chance to do a good deed,” She said softly. “Hey, I think your deeds are good! Just coming from the wrong mindset,” He said, coming over to her. They both looked into each other's eyes, and for once, they both saw another person. “David, I’m feeling that feeling again,” She said. “I am too,” He said. Now, love is quite mysterious and the world works in odd ways. As the Devil drew in closer, the angel reciprocated. A kiss, innocent and sweet, merging to the two together. Both feeling a feeling they didn’t know they could. As they pulled away, the Devil wrapped her arms around him. He smiled, picking her up and laying with her on the couch. “Man, you truly are a devil,” He laughed. “What?” She asked confused. “You could be my devil, if you want,” David told her, pulling away. She gave him her flirty eyes, “unless you don’t wanna be that's cool-” She cut him off, grabbing his hand and intertwining it with hers. “You may be mine, but your still boring,” She laughed.

Date Night&City Lights With David Dobrik
Tumblr media
WARNING: Smut and fluff
(Sorry if it seems rushed, I wrote this story already and lost all the work, so this is a re write)
It's Saturday night, and you are on your second date with David. You've been friends with the VS for 8 months now, and while this is only your Second date with him, it feels like you've been together forever. You were so happy when he asked you on a second date, because that's when you knew his feelings for you were mutal.
You're wearing a red velvet dress with long sleeves and short bottom, the dress coming up to the middle of your thighs. David is wearing his usual attire, black t shirt, black jeans. He's not wearing his hat, and it looks like he actually brushed his brown curly hair. Youre driving in his tesla, his hands on the wheel, he's still wearing his green bracelet and silver ring.
You guys just got done eating at a restaurant of your choice, your riding in the passager seat of davids tesla, on the way to his house, when he makes an unexpected turn.
"Where are we going?" You ask
David response "just wait, it's a surpise."
Suddenly, david parks the vehicle on a cliff, the only lights around you is the lights in davids tesla and the City lights of LA.
You gasp at the view "wow, its- it's beautiful."
David smiles at you "I knew you would like it."
You look back at david, he starts to press his touch screen on his dashboard, and the fake fire place turns on, making the car warmer than usual. You laugh at davids attempt to be smooth.
"Wow you are so cheesy!" You laugh out loud.
David looks at you "I'll be cheesy, for you."
You blush at his words.
Then a song comes up from the speakers in the car, the song is Freak Me by Silk. You really start to find this amusing now. You both let out cries of laughter. It feels almost like david is trying to be funny, but then start to wonder if he's trying to be serious, so you try to change the mood and go with it. You start to step out of the car,
David questions you with a smile "what are you doing?"
"Dance with me." You reply
You step fully out of the car and wait for david to do the same. He gets out and walks around the car and starts to approach you. You stand still waiting for his hands to wrap around your body.
Finally he gets to you, and wraps both his hands around your waist, pulls you to him so your bodies are touching each other as much as possible. You wrap your hands around his neck.
"You know I can't dance, right?" He says looking down at you smiling.
"Just follow my lead. Don't try too hard, feel my body, and move with it."
You start to sway your hips, going to the flow of the cheesy song david put on not too long ago. You look into his eyes and reassure him he will be able to follow your moves. Then you feel his body sway with yours, you smile at him and he smiles back. The lights from the city are still just as beautiful as they were when you got there.
David grabs your hands and makes you do a spin infront of him, then pulls you back to him making You giggle. He then leans you back making you do a dip, your hair almost touching the dirt you stand on.
"Okay, too far! Too far down!" You laugh
He pulls you back up and you both start laughing again. You know this is suppose to be romantic, but you guys can't help but find this all too humorous. You both take a moment to catch your breath and stop laughing, you look up at david and his eyes suddenly darken.
David Leans down towards you and whispers "can I kiss you?"
You can't find the words to tell him yes, you were shocked at his sudden words, changing everything in that moment. So you just nod at him.
He then presses his warm, soft lips onto yours. Butterflies explode in your stomach, you grab his hair, deepening the kiss. You haven't kissed David before, and you're so happy you finally are. It's exactly what you dreamt it would taste like. Suddenly the atmosphere changes, you feel a shift in control, from david following your lead to you following his.
You feel him nudge you backwards, so you take a step back not releasing your lips from his. Then he does it again, so you take another step back. He nudges you back one more time, and you fall on top of the front of his tesla, and he falls on top of you. He takes his hands off your waist and grabs your legs, motioning you to wrap them around his waist. He breaks away from your lips and travels down to your neck. You think he's going to give you kisses on your neck, but instead gives you love bites first.
You moan out "fuck david"
He smiles into your collar bone "you like that Y/N?"
You grab his head and make him kiss you once more. Your heart starts to race, you start to feel hot, davids warmth making you feel even more turned on.
He then let's go of one of your legs, and sneaks his hand in between your thighs. He breaks away from your kiss again and moves back down to your neck, he starts to make out with it, and you invite the kisses. He starts to make circles around the outside of your panties, teasing your clit. You feel like you could cum on his hand any moment, feeling tortchered by his touch.
"Oh my god, david." You whine
This once cheesy and humorous moment, turned into the most sexiest moment of your life. You turn your head giving david more access to your neck, and you stare at your amazing view of the lights.
David stops kissing your neck and looks up at you "do you want more?"
You look back at him and whine "yes, please, s-so much more, please"
Suddenly the music stops playing, making david stop his torcher on your body.
He stands back up and smiles "okay, let's go back to my house"
You feel so sexually frustrated, you wanted him right then and there, but then you remember you are outside on a cliff. While it would be kinky to have sex with him there, it wouldn't be a good look for davids imagine to get caught having sex in public. David helps you stand up and guides you back to the passager seat. You try to fix your hair and not look so hot and bothered while you wait for him to make his way back to the drivers seat. Without missing a beat, the moment he sits in the car, you are already on the road again. David driving a little faster than he should be, you nodiced he is also sexually frustrated.
"You have no idea how close I was to fucking you just now." He says to you
You gasp, his words echoing straight to your groin
"Why didn't you?" You replied
He looks over at you and smiles "because.... when I have you in my bed, I can do whatever I want to you for as long as you want me to."
You don't really know how to reply to that statement. His aggressive words are too exciting to you to give him a response, so you just say "Oh, okay"
Moments later, you are at his house. He turns the car off and you both get out, he takes your hand and guides you to his front door, before he opens it,
he looks down at you smiling "are you ready Y/N?"
You make sure he knows what you've been wanting and waiting for "Fuck Yes, david"
He then takes your hand and walks you into his house and straight to his bedroom.
"Lock the door, baby" he commands
And you follow his lead.

the girl with fire in her eyes - j.w
a/n: okay, i am sorry that this is so long but i really wanted to explore the characters and the story and i love them. okay. i love this story so much and i hope you guys do, too. also, this isn’t edited that well
synopsis: requested jeff always had a soft spot for a girl back home and it was never their time, until it was.
word count: 8134
Jeff wasn’t always a bad kid, in fact, he was once a sweet boy that had a tendency of being just a little too reckless sometimes. He would come home with scraped knees from falling off his bike and scratches on his face from twigs that stuck out of the tree he had been climbing. He was a young boy, just looking for adventure and a thrill but nothing was more thrilling to a young Jeff Wittek than an even younger Ava Wilson, who sat on her front porch journaling as she swung on her porch swing.
He would spend his summers watching her. Keeping a close eye on her whenever he could so that the other neighborhood kids wouldn’t pick on her, not like they really tried. She had a fire in her, a fire that raged and sometimes, you could see it in her eyes when she looked at you. You could feel it when she spoke to you, her words filled with sass and vigor. The other kids never dared to bother her, not after Korey Windenburg tried to tease her for the butterfly berets her mom had put in her hair and she kicked him in the shin.
The summer before the sixth grade, Ava’s parents bought her first bike. She had spent all the summers before that watching the other kids ride and feeling a green pit in her stomach. She had begged and begged them for a bike of her own so that she could feel that same freedom that everyone else had been feeling for years and that summer, she finally did.
She had a sweet taste of freedom right before she got a sour taste of the cement and her knee colliding as she fell over. She unclipped her helmet and tossed it on the ground with rage, the sound it made hitting the pavement catching the attention of all the other kids playing in the road. Jeff was the only kid that came up to her. He walked his own bike, not bothering to use the kickstand but instead, he just let it fall on the grass and he offered his hand to help her up. “Thanks,” she mumbled, accepting his hand and standing up.
“Do you know how to ride?” He asked, glancing down at her bike and then at her scraped knee and then at her face that was still red with anger. His question was innocent but Ava’s it was like adding salt to a fire.
“Yeah, I know how to ride,” she snapped. She smoothed out her clothes from the fall and picked up her helmet and then her bike, getting ready to jump back on like nothing had even happened. “I just hit a rock in the sidewalk.”
“You wanna ride with me?” Jeff asked, catching Ava off guard and she hesitated before answering him with a head nod. Jeff wasn’t dumb. He knew that she had never ridden a bike before because he had been watching her ever since she moved into the house next to his. If not for that, it was painfully obvious that she couldn’t ride because she was wobbly and unstable and there was also the sheer look of panic in her eyes every time she had to round a corner.
Jeff kept an eye on her though, as always, making sure she knew of any bumps in the path and he didn’t ride too fast so she could keep up with him and always told her when he was going to stop and he walked his bike across the street instead of riding so that she didn’t have to struggle to stop and start again. By the end of the ride, she had gotten the hang of it and no longer needed his help but the next day he still asked her to ride with him again.
It had quickly become a routine of theirs. Every morning Jeff would go to her house and wait for her. It was like clockwork, the two of them. Every morning she’d walk her bike out from the backyard to where Jeff was sitting on the stoop waiting for her and they rode around the neighborhood for hours until they were both exhausted and then Jeff would spend the rest of his afternoon with the other kids, climbing trees and playing football and Ava would sit on her porch and watch silently. Every night, he’d come back to her porch and tell her goodnight until the routine continued the next day.
When fall hit and school started, the two had parted ways but only during the hours of 7am and 3pm, when school was in session and Jeff started turning into the bad boy that everyone envied and Ava remained the quiet girl that people were too afraid to approach but they each had their respective places and neither of them minded and the other wasn’t there all the time. They’d smile and wave in the halls and when Jeff would pass her when she was at her locker, he’d whisper in her ear that he missed her. She’d throw him a look of annoyance and disgust and he’d wink.
After school, they’d sit on Ava’s porch swing and do their homework which mostly consisted of Jeff copying her papers but she didn’t mind because she thought it was cute how he’d lean into her slightly to see a little better and when she’d glance at him, he quickly moved away and cleared his throat. She liked that he sat so close to her and he liked that she’d scoot her paper a little closer to him.
Jeff would go back home for dinner and Ava would sit with her own parents and pick at her vegetables that she hated but every night before bed, Jeff would throw a rock at her bedroom window and she’d go to it, open the curtains and there he stood, smiling like an idiot. When she opened the window, he’d lean in, whisper goodnight and then sneak back to his own house.
Despite middle school being the years that defined them, the years that made them the team that they were, Jeff slowly descended into complete and utter chaos. It started with fights out in front of the school and staying out too late without telling his parents where he was going and by the time he hit high school, Jeff was smoking a lot of weed and selling even more of it. It had went from little kid fights in front of the school to keeping weapons in his leather jacket and instead of staying out too late just fucking around, he was staying out too late smoking cigarettes and stealing from the corner stores.
That type of behavior wasn’t unusual for Staten Island but it was unusual for Jeff and it seemed as if he had picked out the worst of the worst and those had become his friends. Every night he’d still come to Ava’s window and sometimes he’d even sneak in and lay on her bed with her with their hands folded over their stomachs and she’d tell him about the stuff going on in her life and he’d tell her how his parents were fighting again or how he was failing math class and he was still her Jeff but that didn’t change the fact that when he left, he was going to sell drugs when he told her he was going to bed.
When they were 15, right when Jeff was getting really bad, Ava looked out her living room window to see Jeff sneaking into his mom’s car. Ava’s own mother followed her gaze as she cleaned around the house and the two of them watched as Jeff pulled out of the driveway with his mother’s car, fear of getting caught all over his face. Ava’s mom let out a sigh of disappointment as she went to the phone to call Mrs. Wittek. “Wait, mama,” Ava called for her, jumping off the couch and putting her hand on her mom’s arm to stop her from dialing their phone number. “Don’t call her, please.”
“Why shouldn't I? That boy is 15 years old, he can’t be driving,” Ava’s mom told her, crossing her arms over her chest. She had been noticing the behavior, too. The sneaking out of his house really late at night and coming home just before the sun came up. That and her and Mrs. Wittek talked a lot. Their favorite topic of conversation since the pair became a freshman in high school was that Jeff was going off the rails and Ava was only moments from following in his footsteps but Ava knew better than that. She had that fire in her chest, that determination in her soul that told her she was better than that.
“He’ll just get in more trouble, please ma,” Ava begged, her hands folded in prayer but her mom shook her head. That was the problem with Ava. Her undying devotion to Jeff Wittek. He had literally picked her up off the ground so how could she let him fall without even trying?
“When are you gonna get it through your brain that that boy is no good? He’s gonna get nowhere, Ava. And he’ll drag you down with him if you let him.” Ava’s heart ached at her mom’s words, fearing that they were true but Ava knew deep down that that wasn’t Jeff. When he was in her room, he wasn’t a drug-dealing thug and when he was smoothing the hair out of her face he wasn’t a petty theft. He was Jeff.
He still leaned against the lockers next to hers, pinched her side and gave her that smile that would win her over time and time again. “What do you want, Wittek?” She’d ask, giving him a look of affection that would win him over time and time again.
“Just came to see my favorite girl,” he teased. They were the talk of the school. More specifically, Jeff was the talk of the school. He wasn’t there a lot, but when he was, his attachment to Ava and vice verse was undeniable.
Girls gawked when they walked down the halls together because he was Jeff Wittek and he had been arrested and there was so much gossip circulating about him that the only person who truly knew him was Ava. And she loved him.
She would do anything for him. She let him copy her homework and she’d give him the synopsis of all the books they were forced to read so that he wouldn’t have to read them himself and she quite literally carried him on her back his entire high school career.
She was the one to pick him up when he was wasted at a party and she was the one to pick him up from the police station and she had more encounters with the police before the age of 18 than most people probably had in their entire life but it was all for Jeff Wittek and when they graduated high school and he left for Miami, the fire that once raged inside her got put out.
Ava cried and she cried and she cried the day that Jeff left. She cried for fear that he’d never come back to her, she cried for fear that he’d never turn his life around without her there because the truth is, without her he wouldn’t have graduated high school and without her he’d have been in jail a long time ago but he called her every night still, even from so many miles away. Without fail, the same time: there he was, waiting for her to pick up the phone.
Their late night rendezvous in her bedroom turned into late night phone calls and skype calls. It was hard to miss him when they were in constant contact but she still ached to feel his hand on hers and his breathing down her neck. It wasn’t the same coming from her boyfriend. His hands weren’t as bony as Jeff’s and his voice didn’t hit her heart in the same way but he was there and Jeff wasn’t so there wasn’t anything she could do. She spent the next three years trying to replace Jeff with the boy who took her to prom and held her hair back as she vomited in the hotel room after the after party but three years was a long time to pretend you didn’t love somebody even if you hadn’t seen them.
The day Jeff called her from jail was almost earth-shattering. She could tell he had been crying a little bit just by his voice and the way it had cracked when he said her name. “Please come to Miami,” he begged. “I got in serious trouble, A.”
He was in serious trouble and Ava’s heart was broken seeing him locked away. He held his hand up to the glass like they do in the movies when he saw her for the first time in three years and she put her hand up to his and when he said her name again through the muffled jail phone, she couldn’t help but cry. “Don’t cry, Av.” Jeff wanted to wrap his arms around her so badly. To smooth her hair out like he had done so many times before. To kiss the top of her head. To comfort her.
“How long are you gonna be in here?” She asked. She had spent the last week since he was arrested avoiding all the newspaper articles about it, avoided listening to her mom talk about it to her friends over the phone. She didn’t want to hear about it, she didn’t really want to know what he had done but he told her anyway. He told her every last detail down to the fact that his bail was almost $60,000.
“I might be in here for a while,” he admitted. His eye contact was unwavering. Begging her to look up at him, look into his eyes but she couldn’t. She stared at his hand that was still lazily pushed up against the glass. Their fingertips so close but so far away. It seemed that he was always just an inch away from her.
Ava was about to open her mouth to speak when a guard called Jeff’s name and that was time’s up for the duo. They were taking him away but Ava wasn’t done with him yet. She called his name, begged them to let him stay but the guards grabbed his arms and lifted him out of the chair and he mouthed and I love you to her as he was dragged out of the room, leaving Ava to slump back into her chair, sobbing.
She tried like hell to get him out. She scraped together every penny in her savings account and begged her friends to help her with fundraisers. Ava even sold her car but it wasn’t enough. She didn’t have enough. “Please, just take it. This is all that I have,” she said to Mrs. Wittek. She looked distraught and tired but it had been years since Jeff had come home and she was tired of his antics.
“I’m not taking that, baby girl,” she said, shaking her head.
Ava shoved the money closer to Jeff’s mom. “I need someone to take it. Put it towards his lawyer or something, please. Take it to help him,” she begged. Mrs. Wittek sighed and looked at Ava with pity and sorrow. She took the money and hugged the girl who started crying once again. For months, all she could do was cry and worry about Jeff. Helping him was all consuming for Ava, now more than ever. The job that she had worked so hard to get was falling apart around her because she was less focused on that and more focused on Jeff.
It was only a month later when Jeff called her again. She was sitting in her apartment with The Replacement when her phone rang and she answered it without hesitation. “I’m out. They let me out, Ava.” Ava let out a sigh of relief and she started crying again. She was exhausted and stressed but those four words seemed to have lifted the world off her shoulders. If Jeff saw her now, saw how her eyes were sunken into her head leaving dark circles around them. If he saw how The Replacement had his arms around her shoulder and the fake sense of happiness radiating off of her, he’d shake her until whatever screws in her brain that got loose fixed themselves because that was not my Ava.
“You’re coming home?” She asked, hopeful that now was the time. That maybe he’d come home for her and that he was done with all the bullshit and could finally be the man that he was meant to be but he told no, that he was moving out to Los Angeles. “Well, when can I see you?”
“Av, I haven't got any money. I’ve got just enough to settle down but I’m gonna start cutting hair again, remember? Like I did back in high school in the basement,” Jeff laughed at the memory of his friends sitting in a chair and Jeff butchering their hairline. Ava, sitting on the couch off to the side with her helpless commentary.
“And then what?” She asked. There was no lack of relief and hope in his voice which, quite frankly, shocked Ava. She thought that he would be upset, angry, want to come home but he was excited and ready to turn his life around and that was a good thing but all Ava could think was please fucking come home.
“And, I’m not sure. I’ll figure it out but listen, I’m so excited and once I have enough money maybe I’ll come home. Or maybe you can come to visit me, wouldn’t that be fuckin’ sick? Anyway, I gotta go now but I love you, alright? Give what’s his face my hellos from the free world!” Jeff exclaimed. Ava mumbled her goodbyes and hung up the phone, feeling weird.
He didn’t know. Jeff didn’t know that she had poured her heart and soul into getting him out. He didn’t know that she was poor, living off of The Replacement’s bi-weekly paychecks and frozen dinner meals. He had no clue and Ava intended to keep it that way.
Now that he was a free man again, Ava and Jeff were back to their nightly phone calls and at first, when Jeff told Ava he was pursuing the entertainment business, Ava thought that it was completely useless. She had little room to talk, though, because she wasn’t making any money at her dead-end job in Staten Island. Hell, at least he made it out of this shitty town but she was supportive regardless because he was Jeff again.
There were no more drugs and weapons and he was poor but at least he was safe. He’d tell Ava about the gigs he was getting and the money he was making and although, at first, it wasn’t a lot, it was something and Jeff was proud and the happiness in his voice made Ava happy and he’d beg her to come move to LA with him and live the dream like he is but she couldn’t afford it because she had given all her money away but Jeff didn’t know that.
Jeff didn’t know that she had no savings and hardly any income and he didn’t know that her mom was now falling ill, nearly bed ridden and alone and she was living back at home to take care of her but Ava could burn through all of those things easily but she couldn’t burn down his happiness. “I really can’t come to LA with you, Jeff,” Ava laughed with her phone tucked between her ear and her shoulder.
“Please, pretty please. The views are beautiful and I want to share them with you!” He begged, his enthusiasm making her laugh more. As she buttered the bread for her mom’s sandwich, Ava couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like to live in LA with Jeff. How different her life would be and then she started to feel sorry for herself, pity herself for the way her life was turning out. The words her mother used to say to her, he’ll drag you down with him, rang in her ears and maybe it was never Jeff’s fault. Maybe it was her.
“Work is so busy right now, I just can’t make it,” she lied to him. Her work wasn’t busy. “In fact, I’m working right now so I’ll call you later,” she told him and they mumbled goodbyes and hung up. She put her phone and continued making her mom a sandwich. Their conversations sounded a lot like that for nearly a year. Him begging her to come to him and her making up reasons why she couldn’t. She had no excuse for lying to him about her mom. It started off innocently, keeping it hidden so that his sun wasn’t blocked but now, years later, it seemed like a secret that she was guarding. Like it was too late to tell him.
Ava felt her fire dwindling. She felt it weakening as the months dragged by. Her eyes not shining as bright when she looked at the mirror, her voice not as sharp and witty as it used to be and her hands, idle. She was tired and she bored and she cut off all of her hair, quit her job and started writing more, putting her idle hands to good use. Channeling her energy into something that she had loved and then lost: writing. Slowly but surely it was coming back. The fire. It was coming back but then along came Cierra.
Cierra. Beautiful, talented, sweet, funny and she was perfect. She was perfect for Jeff and she helped build his career, more so than Ava could ever do from so far away and when Cierra came, so did the fame and the money and he was no longer the ex-con barber from Staten Island, he was Jeff Wittek.
Ava watched all the films he was in, listening to his commentary over the phone as she did. Asking her if she liked this part or that, begging to know what her favorite scene was and then giving her every detail about how they filmed it. He was proud, which made Ava proud, so she let it be. She let Jeff and Cierra be happy and it was just like Ava to defend Jeff until her dying breath and if she had to die without him, then so be it.
She called The Replacement to fill the void of Jeff. To numb the pain of him being with another girl but as she laid next to her high school sweetheart, she thought of Jeff’s voice. The way he laughed. The way his breath trickled down her neck. She imagined how he’d sneak into her house now. Would he use the front door now that they were adults or would he sneak through the window still because her mom still lived there? Those were the things that kept her up at night. The things that fueled the flames.
She spent another three years pretending she loved The Replacement instead of Jeff and for those three years, just like the first three, it was useless.
Those few years were the hardest few years of Ava’s life. There were too many lies, too much distance, and too much Cierra. The Replacement could never fully replace Jeff. He was a warm body that she could picture in her mind was actually Jeff and he was a quick fuck when she needed it but he never had her heart and he’d never come close to it but Jeff was in love with Cierra and not with Ava.
She was nearly thirty years old still living with her sick mother and fucking the same kid from high school and that’s what happens when you don’t leave your hometown but Jeff still called her every night and he boasted about his life and he’d ask her about her own and she’d lie and tell him that she was doing fabulous and couldn’t wait to see him and then he’d ask her to visit him again and she’d turn him down again.
“How are you and Cierra?” Ava asked him one night on the phone. She was lying in her bed, looking up at the ceiling just like the two of them had none a million times before in that exact bed and she pictured Jeff doing the same thing in his own, minus the Cierra part.
“We’re uh, not so good, actually,” he admitted. His voice sounded cold and distant. Muffled even, like he was shuffling some things around.
“Oh?” Ava asked, sitting up in her bed. She pushed the phone closer to her ear to hear his breathing and Jeff cleared his throat.
“How are you and uh, what’s his name?” He asked after a beat of silence. Avoidance was his tactic of choice when he didn’t want to talk about things. Jeff changed the subject while Ava just hoped and prayed that the topic never got brought up in the first place.
“We broke up. Again,” she told him. It was just under a month ago when his loud chewing got too much for Ava to handle. She slammed her hands on the table and demanded that he left. The Replacement looked at her, confused and shocked but he took his plate of food and left. “And how do you not know his name?”
“He was never going to last, we all knew that,” Jeff muttered.
Ava sighed, knowing he was right but wondering if he knew the real reasoning behind it. “What’s going on with Cierra,” she tried again.
“We broke up, too.”
After his break-up, Jeff was heartbroken, to say the least. He never told Ava why just that sometimes things don’t work out but Ava was always there to pick up the pieces. She answered the phone in the middle of the night when he called and she gave him gross, lovey-dovey advice that she’d never take herself but sometimes it made Jeff feel a little bit better.
When he didn’t want to talk about Cierra, he’d tell her about Todd and how he had introduced him to his group of friends that had almost completely changed his life. Sure he was heartbroken but when he talked about Todd and his friends, his voice got a little bit brighter and he seemed like himself again.
Without Cierra, Jeff’s career seemed to be skyrocketing. The fame, the fortune, everything that he wanted was now coming true and Ava lived vicariously through him. She loved to lay down in her bed and listen to his stories and forget about her sick mom for a minute. “When can I fly you out here?” Jeff asked her, again. “I’ve got money now and now that you and whatever his name is are broken up and I’m not busy with Cierra, you can come out and we can hang out.”
“It’s not really a good time, Jeff,” Ava said.
“You say that every time I ask,” Jeff laughed at her and Ava smiled to herself. “It’s been almost 10 years since I’ve seen you in person, you realize that right? The last time I saw you, I was locked in a jail cell and you keep making up reasons not to come to see me.”
“Why can’t you come home?” Ava asked him. The question always was why would Ava come to Los Angeles but it was never why won’t Jeff come home, although, they all knew the answer to that. “I’ve got a real-life job, Jeff. I don’t cut people’s hair and put it on the internet and post shirtless pics once a week and get a paycheck. I can’t just leave,” she told him.
“Ava, I gotta see you.” Jeff’s voice was low and husky and it was almost pleading with her. A sincere kind of pleading where if he went any softer, he’d be inaudible.
“I’ll work on it,” she promised.
Ava tried. She tried to figure it out, save as much money as he could but that didn’t change the fact that she couldn’t leave her mom.
She was so sick and helpless, sometimes Ava felt bad for even leaving the house for an hour without someone coming to check up on her.
Ava tried to enlist some of her friends, neighbors, some of her old mom’s friends to stay with her for even just a few days but no one wanted the full-time commitment that was taking care of someone that was on their deathbed. She just couldn’t make it work and as close as Jeff felt, he had never felt further away.
“Is that a knock on the door I hear?” Ava’s mom said, her voice just barely over a whisper. She was hard to hear these days, her hands were shaking so badly that she couldn’t drink without a straw.
“No, mama, you’re just going crazy,” Ava said, a small smile on her face as she smoothed out her mom’s bed sheets.
“No, I am not,” her mom scolded and then there was a knock on the door. It was quiet but it was there. “Told you,” she sassed her daughter who narrowed her eyes at her mom before walking out of the bedroom and into the living room. The lights were off so Ava turned on a lamp before swinging the front door open.
There he was. She couldn’t really process it at first. The fact that he was standing right in front of her, at her house, in Staten Island. “What- what are you doing here?” Ava stuttered, looking around Jeff for a hidden camera, someone to jump out and say it was a prank or that he was fake. A figment of her imagination. She was so far in her head about seeing him again, she was hallucinating.
“Are you gonna stand there or fuckin’ hug me?” Jeff asked, holding his arms around and Ava was wrapped in them in a matter of seconds. The hands that she had imagined for so long were touching her again, the breath that she craved to feel was on her neck again and his voice was whispering in her ear again. “You look so beautiful,” he mumbled in her hair.
“What are you doing here?” Ava asked when he pulled away from her. Jeff’s hands went to her hands, where he held them tight and spun her around to go into her house.
“Me and Todd came to surprise my parents,” he told her, nodding behind him where Todd was following him inside of the house. He and Ava exchanged their pleasantries and the boys settled in in the kitchen as Jeff and Ava spat back and forth like it was just yesterday they had been together. “Where’s your ma?”
Ava cleared her throat and closed the fridge that she was rummaging around in and turned her back to Jeff. “She’s just, uh, in bed. It’s super late and she’s sleeping,” Ava told him. It wasn’t really a lie but her stutter and lack of eye contact was a dead giveaway that she was a liar.
“Then what are you still doing here?” Jeff laughed. When Ava had first moved out, she couldn’t stop boasting about how free she felt, how alive she felt and Jeff couldn’t help but find it suspicious that she’d be willing to spend any more time here than needed.
“Good thing I am, huh?” Ava smiled, pulling out the chair next to Jeff and sitting down. She put her hand on top of his and he tangled his fingers with hers, a habit that took its natural form even 10 years later.
Jeff took inventory of the house. All the dishes in the sink, more than enough for two. The throw blanket that Ava used to wrap her body in when she was cold. Jeff recognized it from their countless facetime calls and he never realized that the wallpaper that was always behind her was the same one plastered in her living room.
He saw all her pairs of shoes lined up against the wall and her coats hanging next to the door and he leaned in closer to her and lowered his voice. “Are you livin’ here?”
Ava batted her eyes and looked over to Todd, who held his hands up in defense and pushed himself out of the chair and excused himself to the bathroom. Now that they were alone, Jeff squeezed her hand. “What’s going on? Why didn’t you tell me you had moved back home?”
“It’s not that big of a deal, really,” Ava told him. With his hand around hers and his face so close to hers, she was seconds away from breaking down and crying and telling him everything and all it took was for him to smooth the hair out of her face for that to happen.
“Why didn’t you tell me any of that?” Jeff asked after she finished her rant about her mom. The entire time she spoke, Jeff wiped the tears off her cheek as they fell and she squeezed her hand when she got choked up and he pulled her into a hug before she could answer.
“I didn’t want to bring you down. All this drama here, it’s what ruined you in the first place,” Ava told him. Jeff’s heart broke at the sight of his girl so broken. Hatred for himself flickered through his heart at the fact that he had left her for so long and he was so oblivious but all he could do was kiss her cheek and tell her that he loved her.
“You’re not gonna bring me down, we are a team,” he told her. Certainty in his voice. Jeff’s mind flashed to only a few hours ago when he sat at his own kitchen table with his mom. She was going on about Cierra and Todd’s ex-girlfriend and she said that relationships were teamwork and instead of being sad about Cierra, he was consumed with Ava.
Hearing his mom talk about what a relationship should be: a team, a partnership, growth and building each other up. That wasn’t what he had with Cierra and in that moment, he realized that. It was never Cierra, it was always Ava.
His trip was short and sweet and in what little time they got together, they spent it completely consumed with each other. The time he wasn’t spending with his parents,  they were with each other. They went back to the park that they grew up playing at and Jeff tried to ride the bike that he was too big for and they laid in her bed staring up at the ceiling and she fell in love with him all over again. It was like all the feelings that she had suppressed over the years, came flooding back.
When he went back to L.A, it was like Ava’s home was empty again. It was just her and her mom, their routine as boring as mundane as it always was without Jeff’s dry sense of humor and the way he just made Ava feel better no matter what. When looking at her mom got too much to bear, Jeff would wrap her in his arms and rub her back and he wouldn’t even have to say a word for to her feel better but now all she had was her blanket.
It was 5am when her phone began to ring next to her bed. Her first thought when she woke up was that it was Jeff and he was back in jail and her life was going to crash down again but when she heard birds chirping on the other line, she let herself relax. “It’s 5am, what do you want?”
“Were you asleep?” Jeff asked innocently. Ava’s voice was husky and low from her sleep and she had to rub her eyes to wake up a little bit. “I’m calling from outside the prison. I’m picking up Cody,” Jeff told her. Cody. He was Jeff’s best friend and had gotten in just as much as Jeff had in the past but he got caught a lot worse than Jeff did.
“Today’s the day?” Ava asked.
“Today is the day,” Jeff confirmed. He was sitting outside on a curb while David and Jason hung by the car, talking amongst themselves and they were just waiting. Ava was sitting in her dark bedroom, her lap illuminating her side table with a photo of her and Jeff in high school sitting on top of it. “I’m kind of nervous, ya know.”
“For what? Cody’s your best friend. You should be over the moon,” Ava reminded him. Jeff chuckled and his laugh was muffled but Ava felt like it was happening right there in her bedroom. With the lights off, she could almost see him sitting with her.
“You’re my best friend,” he corrected. Heat rose to Ava’s cheeks. “And anyway, I am excited I just am kinda nervous I’m gonna go back to my old ways, ya know. Bein’ here with David and all the guys, I feel good. I feel like I’m better but what if bein’ around him makes me not wanna be better anymore?” It sounded like Jeff was whispering and Ava could hear the worry in his voice and all she wanted to do was put her hand on his cheek.
“You are better, Jeff,” Ava reminded him. “Seeing Cody again isn’t gonna change that.”
“Promise?” He asked. Ava laughed a little under her breath but she told him that she promised.
“And if it does change that, I’ll kill you,” she said, half-teasing and half not.
“Good to know,” he said and they hung up the phone a few moments later and Jeff texted her letting her know that Cody was out and he was good and Jeff was good and Ava told him: I told you so.
Now that Cody was a free man, it was Jeff’s mission to get the three of them back together in L.A and with the money Ava had saved from the last time she told she would try, she could more than afford it but then there was the issue of her mom again.
Jeff offered up every solution in the book from his parents staying over to care for her to sending her to a hospital for the week, all which Ava said no to. She couldn’t justify putting anyone out for her to have fun in L.A but then Jeff offered to pay for a professional to stay at her house and even that put a pit in Ava’s stomach.
“I’ll be fine, baby girl. Go to California and see him,” her mom told her one day as Ava ran the idea by her. She told her mostly as a joke, as a can you believe he had that idea? Like we can afford that, conversation. “Besides, if he’s offering to pay how can you say no? Your boy is rich now.” Her mom winked at her and Ava flushes at the words your boy.
“I can’t let him pay for that, ma. It’s way too expensive. You require a lot of work these days,” Ava joked. Her mom tried to laugh but she ended up just choking on her spit so Ava helped her sit up and held a straw to her mouth so she could drink some water and she tried to picture anyone else doing it and she couldn’t.
“A professional can handle it,” her mom told her once her coughing fit was over with and she could breathe again. “Tell him yes. And go to L.A and get your man once and for all.”
“He’s not my man,” Ava told her, shaking her head and cleaning up the mess from her mom’s  lunch. Anything to keep her busy and distract from the conversation and her mother’s eyes.
“Oh please. I have seen it from day one. When he picked you up off that cement. You two are made for each other, you’re just too dumb to see it,” her mother scolded, shaking her finger at Ava.
“Then how come we spent the greater part of my life arguing about him? Huh?” Ava asked, suddenly feeling defensive. She had shoved whatever feelings she had for Jeff in a tiny box a lot time ago because of her mother and her friends and now that she’s telling her to go and open that box, Ava was angry.
“Because he was a hooligan. He wasn’t a good kid, Ava and I wasn’t goin’ to let you go down that path but he’s got his shit together now,” her mother told her. She closed her eyes and shuffled in her bed and shook her head. “Just go, okay? I’ve kept you in this shitty town long enough.”
Ava’s mom was right. She had been stuck in that town for too long, so she gave Jeff the contact information for the best home nurse in the area and he set them up to stay with her mom for a week while Ava traveled to California.
She had never been on a plane before and the entire time her hands sweat from the nerves but when she landed and saw Jeff waiting for her, any nerves she had gone away. Nerves about the plane, gone. Nerves she had about her mom being without her, gone. Nerves about meeting Jeff’s new friends, gone. He had completely soothed her entire mind like he always did.
The whole week he could tell when she’d start to get anxious. She’d be up really late in his bed, twiddling her thumbs under the covers and he’d wake up and ask her what’s wrong. “Just thinking about my ma,” she told him.
“You talked to her only a couple hours ago,” he reminded her, his voice filled with sleep. He threw his arm over Ava’s body and pulled her into his chest.
“I know, but still,” she said. Jeff kissed her shoulder, mumbled for her to go to sleep and held her until she actually did.
That’s what her trip mostly consisted of: laying in Jeff’s bed and watching movies and talking. He took her out for a few hours a day to show her his hiking trail that she begged him to take her on and he took her to The Grove because the novelty of it was not lost on Ava but when they’d come back to Jeff’s apartment, they’d get comfy on the couch and turn on a movie and not move until they had to.
It was a lot different being with Jeff in person than talking over facetime or over the phone. Ava could feel his breath, his hands, his love. Jeff’s visit home was dedicated to his parents but Ava’s visit to L.A was dedicated to Jeff and they took full advantage of that.
Ava took her box off the shelf and she opened it while she was there. She didn’t even have to think about it, it just happened. Laying in bed with him when she couldn’t sleep, watching him snoring next to her. Watching his expression as he watched movies and seeing him interact with his friends.
It happened for Jeff, too. It hit him like a ton of bricks that she was the one. Being with Cierra was like a flame in his heart but being with Ava was like an explosion in his chest and he didn’t realize how strong it was until she was in his bed, at his home. She fit so easily in L.A like there was never any question about whether or not she belonged there.
When it came time for her to leave, the day was somber and filled with sad looks exchanged between the two and quiet whispers about how much they’d miss each other and as she packed, Jeff sat in his bed and watched her. “Are you  sure you’ve gotta leave?” He asked.
“Yes,” she told him, giving him a sad smile as she zipped up her suitcase. “I gotta get home to my ma,” she said.
“I know. I’ll miss you,” he said. Ava sat down on the bed next to him. Jeff took her hand and put it in his lap, playing with her fingers. “Promise me that we’ll visit more often?”
“I promise,” she said. Jeff didn’t look at her, he kept his eyes trained on their hands together but she took her free hand and lifted his head. “I promise.”
The drive to the airport was quiet and sad and they didn’t talk much the entire walk to her terminal. Jeff walked her as far as he could go, holding her hand the entire time. He pulled her into a hug, holding her as close to his chest as he could and she wrapped her arms around him and buried her head in his chest. She listened to his heart beating in his chest and wondered if it was beating for her.
Jeff rubbed her back and he whispered into her ear, “I’ll see you soon. So soon, okay?” Ava nodded and tried to hold back her tears but it was almost nearly impossible and when Jeff pulled away, he cupped her cheeks and wiped her tears. “It’ll be okay.”
“I know,” she said and nodded. Jeff’s thumbs rubbed her cheeks and whatever tears were falling down and his fingers tangled in her hair and he kissed the top of her nose. “I should go.”
Jeff nodded and he pried himself away from her and she adjusted her bags and started towards her terminal. She walked quickly and didn’t look back at Jeff. She was scared that if she looked back, she wouldn’t get on her plane and she needed to go back home. She couldn’t stay, could she?
She was lost in her mind, worrying about her mom and excited to see her but terrified of leaving Jeff and she could have sworn that she heard his voice clear as day in her mind. Her name repeated over and over again, getting clearer every time. She turned around and it wasn’t in her head, it was real and it was Jeff calling after her.
He was breathless and his face was red, a security guard holding him back. Ava could see the guard saying something to Jeff but he wasn’t listening. He was trying to push the guard off of him and calling Ava’s name and when he saw her turn around, he smiled.
“What the hell?” She called back to him, laughing and throwing her hands up in the air. Jeff laughed back and Ava started shaking her head at him. Jeff was panting and red and hot but he didn’t look distressed, he looked hopeful.
“Stay. Move to L.A with me!” Jeff yelled back. Ava kept shaking her head and she started to try and convince herself that he was joking, that this was just a last minute attempt to make her stay longer but she wanted it to be real so bad, even if she couldn’t.
“What? I can't, you know that!” She yelled back. People were starting to stare and Jeff tried one more time to try and get past the guard but he wouldn’t let him get any further than he already was and Ava didn’t want to go back to him in case she missed her flight so they sat in the middle of the airport screaming at each other like fools.
“Please. I need you to stay here with me,” he said. Even from a distance, Ava could see the hope in his eyes and how they pleaded with her to stay but she couldn’t stop shaking her head.
“Why?” She asked. Her heart was pounding and so was his. It felt like the moment that their entire life was leading up to. The moment where all the years of suppressed feelings came to the surface but Ava couldn’t say yes, no matter what he said next. She couldn’t leave her mom and she couldn’t stay with him, no matter how badly she wanted to. She repeated in her head: it doesn’t matter what he says, it doesn’t matter what he says, it doesn’t matter what he says.
His eyes went soft and his voice got a little lower, relief in it and Ava knew she was fucked. “Because I’m in love with you!”

To everyone who knew you in the squad, you were definitely the Mom. When you were first introduced, you could tell everyone was unsure about how Jeff, an ex convict ended up with a sweetheart like yourself.
The thing is, it dates back further than that. You and Jeff met in High School during Chemistry class. Both of you were paired to do an assignment, and after causing almost several chemical burns and three trips to the ER, Jeff asked you out.
Since then, you’ve always been together, through thick and thin- even when he was sent away for six months.
“Hey guys, I brought coffee!” You announce as you walk into David’s, seeing Natalie with Todd, Ilya, Erin and Carly. “Oh, and Jeff. “
Jeff walks in behind you, rolling his eyes as Todd waves to him whilst Natalie chuckles under her breath.
“You’re such a sweetheart, you know that?” Jeff asks you once you’ve sat down on the sofa, sipping your own coffee.
Removing the cup from your lips, you simply nod in response resulting in Jeff to wrap his arms around your waist, pulling you onto his lap as you laugh light-heartedly.
“Why is it so hard to find what you guys have?” Carly sighs as you smile sympathetically toward her.
“Carly you have a boyfriend.” Erin nudges Carly whose eyes widen momentarily.
“I take back my previous statement, judge, please forgive me. And Nolan.” Carly comments before returning to her laptop, busying herself.
“Sometimes I can’t believe you have been together for eleven years.” David pitches in, lifting his head up from behind his laptop to look up at you both.
“Does to me.” You whistle, receiving a playful jab in your side from Jeff. “What? Does it feel like yesterday to you, huh?”
Jeff shrugs his shoulder. “You’re just as beautiful as the day I met you.” He tells you and both Carly and Erin fawn over how sweet Jeff can be sometimes when you’re around.
“Honestly if you do not get married and let us be bridesmaids I’ll be pissed.” Erin states. “I mean bridesmaid for bridesmaid, right?” She reminds you, and Jeff’s grip on you tightens.
Looking down at the floor, you hum in response. “Yeah, I mean, I might not fit into my bridesmaid dress, that’s the only thing.” You speak up, slowly glancing around at everyone.
A series of confused expressions meet your eyes in response. “You’ve not gotten fat in lockdown, Y/n.” Todd chimes in, and Jeff nods in appreciation.
“Not like that, Todd.” You tell him, starting to form a smile on your lips as you look down at Jeff who smiles brightly back at you.
Natalie focuses on how Jeff’s hands glide across to your stomach, and she pushes herself off of Todd.
“No, shut the fuck up.” She blurts out, rising to her feet. “You’re pregnant?”
Her question has a domino effect as joyous looks spark on everyone’s faces, except David who is lost in thought until Natalie hits his arm.
“Ow,” He mutters, rubbing his arm. “what did I miss?”
“I’m pregnant.” You tell him as everyone remains in a state of shock, no one moving as Erin stares at you with wide eyes whilst Carly is rendered speechless.
“Nice work, buddy.” David reaches out to fist bump Jeff who gladly accepts.
“Of course that’s your reaction.” Natalie sighs and you rise to your feet, accepting a gracious hug from her. “I can’t believe you’re going to be a Mom.” She states.
“Neither can I,” You laugh nervously.
“How long have you guys been hiding this?” Todd asks as he pulls away from a hug with Jeff.
Jeff looks back at you before scratching the back of his neck. “Like, three months? I mean, we’ve been planning for a while, hence why we moved.”
“Why didn’t you tell us sooner?” David speaks up whilst you and Jeff share a look.
Resting his hand on your back, Jeff answers on his and your behalf. “We just wanted something private for a while, make sure that we knew this was real.” He explains, having been there the moment you found out to your first scan. The entire experience so far has been an ordeal, but one you wouldn’t take back for anything.
“I was scared something might happen, and everyone would know.” You add, a sad smile lining your lips momentarily. “But it all seems okay, and we wanted you guys to know too.” Your smile brightens as Erin wipes her eyes before hugging you once more.
“I can’t  believe you’re actually gonna be a real Mom, like not just looking after us kinda Mom.” She blubbers, and you laugh along as tears well up in your own eyes. “But you’re going to be an amazing Mom, Y/n.” Erin adds, squeezing you lightly before pulling away with a guilty look.
“You didn’t squeeze too hard, don’t worry. The baby won’t pop out of my vagina if you hug me too tight.” You joke, resting your hands on your small bump.
“I can’t wait, does this mean I’m God Father?” David beams at the thought whilst Todd points to himself, nodding to Jeff who shrugs his shoulders.
“Do you know what gender they are yet?” Natalie asks and you shake your head in response.
“We kinda want it to be a surprise.” You tell them, Jeff smiling down at you, now able to see your bump more visibly as opposed to hiding it. “But whatever happens, we want you guys to be apart of their lives, and ours still. If you’ll have us?”
David scoffs lightly, “We can’t get rid of you guys!” He announces. “Especially with a child on the way, gotta afford to get the little fella off to college.” He mutters in a baby voice, and you can’t help but long to hear that from Jeff.
“Fuck, Jeff’s going from daddy to dad.” Carly laughs, and Jeff frowns lightly before you turn back to him, away from everyone else.
“You’ll always be a daddy in my eyes, baby.” You whisper to him before turning back to your friends, feeling Jeff’s hands never leaving your bump.

A/N: based off of this song by the wombats:) and also sry if this is pretty shitty, I wrote it all in one go and didn’t bother proof reading bc it’s one of those kinda evenings ehehe
summary: you’re david’s second assistant and he has a biggg crush on you but you don’t realise so you’re always hooking up with guys to take your mind off of him.
warnings: angst, swearing, fluff
Tumblr media
“Going out again, Y/N?” David asks with a slight hint of frustration in his voice as you come into the kitchen, heels on and makeup done up with your new black dress showing off more leg than necessary.
“I can stay at a friend’s if it’s an inconvenience?” You reply, his tone taking you by surprise. You were hoping to catch his eye, not make him angry. After all, the only reason you were dressing up every night was in the hopes of one day him somehow falling for you.
David shakes his head, picking up his Chipotle order and throwing it on a plate. “I ordered some for you, too. If you’re home before the sun comes up, lock the door, yeah?” And with that he’s walking off back to his room, leaving you standing in shock as you hear his door slam. Tears threaten to prick your eyes - why was he all of a sudden acting like this? He always seemed somewhat distant with you, but never usually angry. Lost in your own thoughts, you hadn’t realised just how long you’d been stood at the kitchen counter, tears rolling down your cheeks, until you see Natalie sit up on the couch.
“He didn’t mean it, ya know.” She begins; you supposed Nat knew David best - after all, she has been his friend since they were kids. You look up from the floor, making eye contact with her. A frown immediately appears on her lips when she sees the tears. “Oh Y/N.” Nat jumps up from the sofa, walking around the kitchen counter to envelope you in a hug.
“Did I do something wrong?” You ask and Natalie pats your back sympathetically.
She knew exactly why David was so angry, but it felt wrong her telling you instead of him. “You know how he gets when he’s stressed.”
**
“Fucking hell.” David mutters as he rolls over in his bed, hearing you laughing as you open up the front door. He checked his phone - it was 3am - and he felt hopeful that maybe tonight you hadn’t brought anyone back, but his heart dropped when he heard a deep voice muttering sweet nothings as two sets of footsteps lazily walked back to your room. “Please, no.” He whispered, but your door slammed shut.
Once, just once, he wished you’d just stay in with him instead of going out with your friends. He wasn’t concerned that you were in it for the drink, because nine times out of ten you were sober when you came back to the house, but he was more concerned that nine times out of ten, you also brought someone back with you. Why couldn’t you see that he was there? David was there with open arms, ready to have you whenever you wanted him, but it seemed you never did. Natalie had told him on countless occasions that it was because he wasn’t exactly warm with you, but he didn’t know how to act cool around you. He didn’t know what to say to you to get you to like him; with Liza, it was different. He knew exactly what to say to make her laugh, but you were so different and he loved that, but you were mind boggling to him.
Sighing, he shut his eyes and tried to block everything out. He tried not to make a habit out of listening to your moans; he knew it was wrong and besides, he hoped that one day he’d be the one causing them. A few minutes pass and he was almost drifting off until he heard some commotion. “Just fuck off!” He heard you shout and he immediately jumped to his feet.
Waiting a few moments, he heard your bedroom door open up and heavy feet retreating down the hallway. “Fucking frigid bitch.” A low voice mumbled. David opened up his bedroom door, noticing your own door wide open right opposite his. The front door slammed, indicating the guy had left.
“You okay?” He asks, the sound of your sobs filling the room. You were sat on the side of your bed facing the wall, looking down at your feet. David made his way over to you, sitting down on the bed and wrapping an arm around your shoulders to which you leant into his embrace. It killed him to see you in this state - any inhibitions of him messing up had disappeared and all he cared about was making sure you were okay.
“I’m a slut.” You whispered in between cries. David’s heart broke and he held you tighter. “And don’t say I’m not because I know you think I am.” He remained quiet for a few moments, unsure of what to say to you.
“I know you’re not. A slut wouldn’t be able to admit it to herself.” Your cries ease up and you let out a sigh. Finally realising the situation you had managed to get yourself into, you felt a wave of embarrassment wash over you. “I don’t know what exactly what you’re going through right now, Y/N, but know I’m here for you.”
David’s arms tighten around you and you take in a big breath of his shirt, only managing to smell the shampoo he uses. “I do it for you.” You suddenly utter out, shock filling your body as you realise what exactly you just said. Breaking away from David, you manage to look him in the eye for the first time since he came to you. “I get with all these guys to hide the loneliness I get from you.”
David’s eyes break away from yours, switching to look down at his feet to avoid you seeing his eyes begin to fill with salty tears. “I don’t mean to be so distant from you.” He replies, voice cracking slightly from emotion. “It’s just it’s easier not to say anything to you and not mess up my words.” Your heart flutters - was he really saying all of this?
“I thought you hated me.” You whisper, grabbing his hand and rubbing small circles over his knuckles. He finally looks at you again, chuckling.
“I could never hate you, even when you bring awful guys home. It hurt me, yeah, but I never opened myself up to you, so I guess I deserved it.” David replies, a small smile playing at his lips. The warm light from your bedside lamp made all of his features jump out at you. He’d never looked so perfect to you.
“You didn’t deserve it.” You began and lifted your hand up to his face to push some of his hair out of his face. “None of them meant anything.”
David chuckled again, wrapping his hand around your arm. “Your moans definitely said otherwise.” Shaking your head, you looked down again.
“When you’re trying to get rid of a guy, you’ve got to be convincing.” The two of you sat in silence for a minute or so, just enjoying each other’s company, letting your hands circulate small movements on one another until David began to stand up.
“Well I should probably head back to bed–”
“Please stay.” You interrupted him, gently grabbing his arm. Your eyes interlocked for a few seconds before he got back down onto the bed, this time following you as you crawled backwards to get underneath the covers. He copied, laying down and opening up his arms for you to lay in between them, your head resting on his chest as his arms wrapped around you.
David peppered the top of your head with gentle kisses, your body immediately relaxing. “Night, Y/N.” He whispered, his hand resting in your hair as you felt his chest rise and fall with his soft breathing.
“Night, Dave.” You mumbled a reply before drifting off into a sleep, feeling like you were exactly where you needed to be for the first time in forever.

Bend Into A Break (1)
Summary: Not one, but two vlog-squads came with the death of Vine. And the rumored beef between you two is absolutely true! So, you and David (begrudgingly) set up a month long-retreat among your groups to film team challenges and go against each other. Y’know. For views. Pairing: David Dobrik x Readers, Enemies to Lovers, living together. Warnings: Profanity
1 | 2 | 3
“Y/n…I, I don’t know about this.” David sighs and pushes back your iPad.
And you grit your teeth, stomping gently and saying “David!” With a whine. Your emotional tactics (no matter how playful) have never had any impact on him. He simply shrugs, and with the reminder that your fluttering eyes and pouty frown do nothing to affect his decisions, you straighten out and go back to your less inviting face. One of anger, disdain.
“David come on, you know this would be great for the both of us.”
“Well,” he fills his cheeks with air before quickly letting out, “ I know. It’s just…”
“There’s the fans, the views. I know you just love selling 40$ T-Shirts. Think of the merch! Contrasting team colors. We could recreate every piece of clothing we wear in our videos. Wear nothing but that for the few vlogs — you get an average of a couple million views a video, right?” He nods. Likewise, you point to yourself. “Th-this is a good idea. It’s great marketing! Nothing gets people more riled up than picking sides but if we play it off as a fun little Youtube thing then there’s no bad press. Only fan publicity.” He opens his mouth but — “Even if nobody gets along behind the scenes it’s what we get on camera that matters and you know just as much as me that when our groups hang with each other it’s actually fun.”
It pains him being opposed to something so genius.
Though he scoffs at himself for pairing together you and the word ‘genius.’ You’d probably like that, wouldn’t you?
The problem is if you’ll be able to get both of your squads to agree on not just this as a whole but a tiny, single thing.
Red for his team.
Blue for yours.
You could have bandanas, knee-high socks, and shorts for the more athletic challenges your two groups decide to participate in. If you go far enough you can even sell thermoses and Tupperware if you went ahead with color-coordinated eating.
Minus the formalities and getting ready for this event, the event itself would be fun.
He just wonders if he’ll be able to get through the initial torment of having to be around each other.
He rubs his eye and holds out his hand. He beckons the iPad and you slide it over. He’s yawning and couldn't look any more bored as he swipes through the presentation you put together for him. He almost looks a little too disinterested and bothered by it. You think to question but “I mean…yeah?”
He picks at his lips, puffing his cheeks up in ‘boredom’ but subsequently rubbing his palms all over them to hide their puffiness. “Gonna need to make some changes,” he murmurs.
And throwing your hands to the table you shout, “Well of course!”
His eyes jump to yours. He has his lips pursed, cheeks collapsed now which sharpens his jaw and cheekbones. His thick brows furrow too, and overall it is quite the good look. But enough about him — you’re genuinely happy you’ve come to some agreement, and he can’t deny it's a nice change in pace. Finally, you give him something real. For once.
You take your iPad from him and place it between you.
The presentation explains as follows: Over the course of one month, his vlogs would consist of at least one challenge per vlog (spliced between other daily shenanigans) on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Your channel too would consist of at least one challenge per vlog on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Somewhere in there you propose a live-stream or something your two channels could share on Sundays to aid the constant stream of content.
His team would dawn red clothes, and your team blue. You would be your team leader and he would be his team’s leader.
You had a photographer queued up (given David agreed) to take team-photos; a group photo for each, separate photos for each member, photos of each group’s corresponding members together, and an ultimate team versus team photo. So far the theme you had in mind for the photoshoot was sports (hence the idea for athletic shorts and sports T-shirts for merch). Your mind lingered over the possibility of a “War of the Roses” type situation but Zane Hijazi (who irks you purely because his jokes manage to bite so hard yet so effortlessly) organized the royalty-themed photoshoot for his 200th video.
Of course you guys watch each other. It’s the only way to keep your head in the game.
David picks at his lips again, imagining headbands, bandanas, knee-high socks, 70s shorts, even leg warmers. He isn’t focused entirely on the march or financial benefits of the event but he can’t deny both would wind up being fantastic in design and outcome.
“Uhm wh-what uh,” You dig through your bag and take out a notepad and pen, “changes did you have in mind?”
He reaches and makes an effort to sigh as obnoxiously as he can while scribbling some of his ideas down. Your brows twitch when you come across words you can’t comprehend, his handwriting so jumbled with how fast he wrote so he could get the hell out of here and think this over.
And you find his main idea quite…odd.
“An uh…?” Why on Earth would he want this?
He’s amused.
“You want us all to…what—a boarding school scenario?”
He blinks, previously lost in thought. “Yeah! Uh yeah just,” he takes the notepad and reads what he wrote over. Seems right. He slides it back and folds his arms over the table. His cheeks make even the slightest of smiles so incredibly poignant. It’s hard for you to tell if he’s casually smiling, grinning at your expense, or plain existing.
You admit it’s a good idea — two teams so notorious for being pitted against each other in the realm of Youtube not only performing casual competitions and questionable stunts for a minimum of two minutes a vlog each but in an environment where content is inevitable. Non-competition related stunts and shenanigans will still have a competitive spirit, and with you able to get content of the other’s team in a casual setting it’s going to be a lot harder to manipulate someone’s behavior through editing. Teams so notorious for being pitted against each other in the realm of Youtube living with each other, sure to hate one another’s guts for the entirety.
In this case, that entirety would be a month.
A month of shared living spaces.
A month of side-by-side editing.
A month of competing, a month of interacting.
David shrugs, shaking his head. “I dunno. We could find a place. I mean, we have what it takes.”
“Suppose we could, huh?”
He nods and writes more ideas down. You watch, fighting a smile seeing his little tongue poke past his lips.
He hums then leaves you in silence while collecting his thoughts.
Is this a good idea?
You know it is financially, career-wise. But like David, you wonder if the absolute torment your group will have to deal with at the hands of his own is worth any of this.
David gets up and hovers above his seat to collect his things. His eyes flicker and catch your confused face. He blinks rapidly, scrunching his face up and going “Oh yeah, uh,” before pulling out his phone and sending you a text.
Yes, you have each other’s numbers.
It’s a location (his home), time (1:30), and date (tomorrow).
“Bring your group.”
You stand with him. “oh no no no they uh — they have no idea about this.”
He shrugs and you swear he chuckles. “Well, neither will mine, so.”
David walks off but before he leaves he holds onto the shop’s doorframe. He turns and lazily gestures you and your space. “Good job by the way on all of this. Uh, actually a really good idea.”
Huh. “Thanks.”

merry christmas, i love you
Tumblr media
person: David requested: no genre: fluff cw: not really. Y/N could be assumed to be petite?
David and I have been seeing each other for a while now. We haven’t gone on a proper date and we’ve never asked each other what we were (we kind of just knew we were together once it happened). Our feelings were just kind intense and real right away.
I started hanging out with the vlog squad through a mutual friend. I was immediately attracted to David, but far too shy to say anything. After meeting at a party and David finding me funny, he just kept inviting me over to film. I didn’t think it meant anything, but a month later we starting running off to sneak kisses and having sleepovers that only Natalie and Jason knew about.
I thought of David as my boyfriend. We never really spoke about it, but I think we kind of just understand how we feel. There was never a big announcement. The viewers don’t know (although they speculate) and all our friends figured it out one by one.
He knows me better than anyone else in LA, he can just look at me and know what’s on my mind, and I’ve recently come to realize that I have fallen in love with him.
I texted Natalie as soon as December came around:
Me: what do i get for the boy who has everything?
Nat: is this about David?
Me: none other
Nat: he’s weirdly sentimental. like he genuinely won’t care what it is as long as it’s from the heart. the boy loves you.
Me: he what???
Nat: yeah, he told me a few weeks ago. literally just tell him you love him and he’d be over the moon.
I started the gift as soon as possible. I got a photo of us printed and framed. On the frame it said “to the moon and back”. Then there was a rope bracelet with a string from a blanket that David gave me as a housewarming present. I also got him a blanket with our faces printed on it for a laugh. I decided to wrap it in a way that had the blanket on top and then he would discover the sentimental items on the bottom.
The day of the vlogsquad Christmas party came. I was actually really nervous about it. I heard word that David went all out for my present. I knew from the  beginning that the gift he got me would outdo the one I got him, but he’s pretty easy to please and I know he won’t mind.
I was taking pictures by the Christmas tree with Nat and Carly, my best friends. Out the corner of my eye I could see David staring at me and whispering to Jason.
“Y/N!” David called after we were done with the photo. “Can you come here for a second?”
I walked over to stand in the doorway with him. Before he could even start talking I hear someone yell, “Mistletoe!”
I look over and see Corinna in the corner giggling. I look up and saw that David and I are in fact standing under mistletoe. I looked at him and cracked a small smile. He immediately lifted me up in the air and kissed me sweetly, but passionately.
After he put me down he whispered in my ear, “I want to give you something.”
“Me too,” I said.
We walked to his room hand and hand as our friends wolf whistled and hollered.
“I want to go first!” I said knowing I wouldn’t want to give him mine after he gave me his.
He grabbed the big box with a smile and tore it open to see our smiling faces blown up on a blanket. I was laughing and he was doing a funny kissy face in the direction of my face.
David’s face lit up at the blanket and he immediately started laughing the beautiful laugh I love so much.
“Y/N, this is unreal!” He said as he picked it up. Then he revealed the framed photo of us. A sweeter photo of our arms around each other on his couch gazing into each others eyes.
“To the moon and back,” he said with a sweet smile. He then picked up the bracelet and immediately recognized the black string. He put it on and pulled me into a hug.
“You’re such a good girlfriend,” David said kissing me.
“That’s the first time we’ve said that out loud,” I said beaming.
“Well, it feels right,” he said gazing into my eyes.
He then grabbed a small box from beside him and handed it to me. My hands were shaking as I went to open it. It had 13 (my lucky number) disposable camera photos of us from the day we met through the 5 months of us dating. On the back of every photo it had a sentence that David associated with the memory.
Photo 1: “I thought you were the most beautiful girl I’d ever seen.”
Photo 3: “I had this need to always be around you.”
Photo 6: “We were the only two left awake; I took it as a sign from the universe to kiss you. I was right.”
The 10th photo was a photo of us on the boat in Miami. I remember David holding me from behind and resting his head on top of mine. Natalie picked up the disposable and took a photo of us. It was so adorably cute. I hadn't seen the product until now. I silently wished I could post it. I lingered on the photo for a while remembering the sweet day. I fell in love with David during that trip.
On the back it said: “This was the day I told Jason that I thought I loved you.”
Photo 11: “I was right.”
Photo 12: “I do.”
Photo 13: “Merry Christmas”
Under the last photo was a little black velvet bag with the words Cartier written in gold.
“David, holy shit,” I said just noticing the tears streaming down my face.
I opened the bag to see a rose gold Cartier Love bracelet. I immediately put it on and attacked David with hugs and kisses.
“I love you, I love you, I love you!” I said grabbing him.
“I love you too, baby. Merry Christmas.”
We walked back out to our friends and the girls immediately rushed to me to see the bracelet. While David opened up the blanket and draped it across his couch for all to see.
“Great. Now I have to see that every time I come over. I feel like I just found out my kid has had sex before,” Jason said laughing.
I looked across the room to look at David and saw him mouth “I love you”. I mouthed it back and felt my phone buzz. It was a new photo on the disposable account. It was the one us on the boat in Miami. My heart swelled with happiness knowing that that meant David was in this for the long haul, and I was too. I was so happy with him and couldn’t believe I lucky I felt.
Best Christmas Ever.
