no one seems to have brought this up yet but if you play in windowed mode, pizza tower actually has unique title bar statuses for pretty much every area/event in the game; i've compiled them all to the best of my knowledge here.

misc: opening cutscene, main menu, level complete

tower hub: entrance room+tutorial, john gutter hall, tower lobby, western district, vacation resort, slum, staff only

floor 1 levels: john gutter, pizzascape, ancient cheese, bloodsauce dungeon, vs pepperman

SO I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT PIZZAHEAD. AND THAT ONE POSTER IN DON'T MAKE A SOUND. Forcing you all to look at my ideas I'm rotating them in my brain all the time. Ask me about them I'll infodump I swear LMAO

To me, the conflict between Peppino and Pizzahead is kinda like.... small businesses vs big corporations, and said big corporation is trying to get rid of the little guys so they stay on top. Pizzahead in his tower has his own business, and I think all the bosses are apart of that. Pepperman makes designs, Vigilante is security, Noise makes commercials, and... Maybe Fake Peppino/Bruno was an effort to copy the good skills Peppino had to use for themselves?

Pizzahead wasn't always a pizza head here- He started off like a regular guy. But him becoming a pizza guy is kinda like. symbolic. like he changed as he changed- Got so into the company and greed and such? I forget how to explain it but I hope you can get the gist of it lol

Either way, think it'd be interesting if Pizzahead DID have a brother considering the Pizza Bros poster. And then I went down a wild rabbit hole making him and I really like this backstory,,

Tower Scramble Final Boss: Vs Pepperman

Decided to try a different style with this one to make it look painted, since Pepperman is an artist (and I just thought a visual style change for a final boss could be neat)

First phase is near identical to Pizzaface, with Pepperman inside his mech dropping enemies to attack Vigert. Second phase is the boss rush rather than Pepperman himself, since Pepperman doesn’t want to get his hands dirty unless absolutely necessary. Third phase is Pepperman throwing various obstacles from prior levels into the mix as well as splashes of paint and erasers, still not directly fighting hand-to-hand. Final phase would have a very angered Pepperman acting very similar to Pizza Tower’s Pepperman, charging in recklessly. and throwing himself right at Vigert.

so you know Pizzaface’s Fight? And how it’s only Mario who seems to have broken out? And how it’s probably gonna be a Mr. Puzzles vs Mario fight for the movie?

plausibly someone could mod Peppino to be Mario and Pizzaface to be Mr.Puzzles and it would be the closest thing to canon of the probable official fight.

Pizza Tower played a Key Part in the puzzlevision Saga setting up Mario’s Pizza Shop and Marty and Mr.Puzzles has hired people before like the Inkling goons.

Pizza face and Mr.Puzzles have the same Aesthetic.

Tv studios usually require a Signal Tower sooooooo.(I know he’s promoting a streaming service but still)

including a possible Mario Copy and Tari/Clench possibly taking the place of Gustavo there are around enough people to take the roles of the bosses: “IGBF”SMG4=Pepperman, “WS”Meggy=Vigilante, and SMG3=The Noise.

take these ideas and run with it since we got less than 24 Hours before Puzzlevision so I hope someone makes something with this I dunno.

while im posting tonight. i think about that ptg doodle thats peppino vs pepperman in presumably a 2d fighter a lot so heres my thoughts on how most of the pt + sugspi cast would play in a traditional fg

i posted this in the sugary spire discord and many ppl didnt know the terms. this is alright! i dont mind. i made a little in-depth explanation of the terms i use and break down a little bit more of what i want for each character. pasted under the cut if you would like to see (watch out! its long)

peppino: zangief- very traditional grappler, peppino actually already takes some poses from him while doing certain grabs in pizza tower +rtemkin- considered to be the "best" (in terms of tier placement) incarnation of potemkin, a guilty gear grappler with a lot of really cool tools that really shine at high execution. "grappler with a shoryu" - a shoryu, or a shoryuken/DP is a reversal with an invincible startup. peppino's uppercat animation resembles a shoryuken, hence he gets one. grapplers dont usually get these for balance reasons

noise: kohaku- meddling trap-placement character in melty blood, big trickster that puts things around that youll run into trying to get to her essentially, though shes got really good offense on her own faust- item toss character thats really good at keeping you at whatever range he wants you at onscreen midrange zoner- wants to keep you away, but not at fullscreen, so he can keep putting you into bullshit

pepperman: "big body but not a grappler" - big bodies usually have more health/defense and "armor" on their moves in exchange for slower movement and better payoff "maybe hes doing some tekken shit" - yeah "definitely has counters" - a counter move is a parry that automatically grants you a counterattack

gustavo and brick: relius- guy with good offense who controls a second body on a separate resource meter to lock down pressure

vigi: keepaway characters traditionally have less health than others to make you REALLY worry about getting caught; the noise prefers midrange but vigi prefers full-range and has efficient tools for arena escape

feppi: "what if rainbow mika was dan hibiki" - ok this one has layers. rainbow mika is a disciple of zangief and thus plays somewhat similarly, with more emphasis on speed and such. dan hibiki is a joke "worse" version of ryu command grab rekkas - rekkas are moves in multiple parts/moves that branch into multiple paths. like A->B->C or A->B-or-C->D. rekkas tend to give characters really cool routing abilities and a more free-flowing playstyle command movement- a move that makes a character perform a special action rather than necessarily an attack, like a teleport or a dodge

pizzahead: i mean hes there(*)

noisette: a "shoto" is a function like ryu or ken, very much the white bread of fighting games but always welcome and usually very fun and expressive to pick up. usually has a projectile and a shoryuken, at least

pizzelle: shoto was explained on the noisette slide 👍 chipp and millia are both characters that focus on incredibly pressure and high combo counts, but have low health and poor defense to balance it out. basically speed demons

pizzano: SUPER ARMOR means you can hit him but it Will Not Stun Him. characters that super armor through shit are usually seen as Scary as Hell but also tend to be slower, big-body damage sponges. i think pizzano can move tho "this mf has divekicks" - this mf has divekicks "what if viewtiful joe was big and scary" - viewtiful joe is generally regarded to be a lower tier character in Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3: one of the smallest and slowest characters, with a lot of quirky bullshit that requires a lot of high execution but also a tv pose spotdodge (spotdodge: stay in place and avoid an attack). making vjoe 1. big 2. move better 3. not die instantly the second he gets touched by a magneto would create a horrifying force

gumbob: honest footsies gumbob he has a raging demon

stinky: usually characters with executional difficulty are higher up on the tierlist of a game (like arakune from blazblue and johnny and i-no from ggxrd), but sometimes this is not true (like angel from kof, who is the hardest character in the game to learn but considered one of the worst despite it all) i think stinky would be somewhere in the middle; a character that gives you arthritis to play and has a lot of expression, but gets shut down easy and can have his setups blow up in his face incredibly easy

if anyone else out there has any thoughts on this matter i would love to hear them. im insane.

(*) i dont actually hate pizzahead or anything i think hes really fun. he just baffles me in the way that hes popular and i think im just tired of seeing the popular depictions of him. godspeed pizzahead lovers do not hurl bricks at my window

Anyways, here's Jude's au design lineup.

We got the Judith herself, obviously.

Joan the Spoonskeeper, a pastel-loving, caramel drop wrapped in a see-through wrap, is the Sugary Spire counterpart. She is a swap of Jell's Pascal, so she inhibits his shy and soft personality. Much like how Pascal is a barista, Joan is one as well- but being in the Sugary universe, she also does milkshakes and hot choccy. Joan loves small thin silverware, but she doesn't make them, she only collects.

Judas, Jude's genderbent. There's litteral 0 difference between the two other than the goatee, and that he probably sweats slightly more. Just slightly.

Goth Folk!Jude, from @xbeih 's Music Au! She's a very laid back, talented guitarist. Unlike most Judes, she does have a slightly bigger ego- but she is more interested in the indie scene since she prefers that atmosphere more. She can be eccentric like Pop Pepperman, but also loves folk. and rustic aesthedic like Country Vigi.

Jude the Armsdealer, from @bobmirum 's Mafic Au. She is a brooding, more stoic weapons dealer with incredible marksmanship and crafting skill, but sadly, also a LOT of baggage. As a teen, she escaped from Pizzahead's casino and her family, and changed her identity. When she became an adult, she met and befriended Vigert, whom she looks up to as a father figure and helps with clue finding due to her past connections. She is also Pascal's twin sister. There's a lot more in both their stories, but I have to keep this brief for now 😭

And the last two are just what Jude would look like in the form of the vs! artworks of the bosses in the game, and also her as a normal human.

Much like Pepperman in his vs artwork, she's a giant, humanoid Bell Pepper. She also has an outer layer of cheese like usual, except its drawn a bit more grotesque and she's also covered in burns from her smithing. I like to imagine when this version talks, her voice is more distorted and gargly from the cheese.

SO, i've been thinking about this for a little, and i don't want to ignore it because these are valid questions.

what i WILL say, is aside from some characters i'm debating on ponifying, there's a list of characters i think don't need to be ponified and would fit just fine in the ponyverse.

that list is:

the toppins (though the sausage may be replaced with a vegetable-based ingredient that is used in place of sausages)

vigilante & any other cheeseslime

literally like all of the enemies you fight in the tower

the reason i don't see the point in ponifying these guys is because they're already VERY inhuman. and because of that, if you put them in a horse world, they wouldn't really stand out. we have a shitload of weirdos in the pony world as it is that aren't equines of any sort, like casper from the movie. y'know, the cat. and whatever other creatures in there i don't wanna list all of them

pepperman (if i go w/ this, he will NOT be a pony but some other creature)

i... think that's it? yeah. i will be honest though i'm heavily leaning to not ponifying pepperman because he's a fuckign Pepper and i think it would just be funny. but since he DOES have a human-esque VS portrait i do wanna give it a try. i LOVE pepperman he's a dumbass and i want to make shit relating to him

with gerome and john, they fit in with the already nonequine cast of the ponyverse, BUT i have ideas! i can see them being like, stone ponies. ponies made of stone. they don't even have cutiemarks, cause they don't exactly need it. they're stone bitches. you know?

Appleberry (Pepperman) paints the tunnels of the tower with crushed berries and stuff, but since he's the lowest ranking guard in Crustears' ranks he's always raring for a viscious fight.

P.P.P.P. VS:

(yes PPPP means Peppino Pizelle Pizzano Pepperman)

The group entered the arena staring at the walls, causing Pepperman to gasp in horror

Pepperman: “My paintings! Th-they’re ruined!”

The paintings were torn and had had holes put in them. Some had even been painted over and some looked like they had been used for target practice.

Pepperman: “I’m going to KILL whoever did this!!!”

He stormed ahead with fire in his eyes, eventually coming across a figure in the distance

Pepperman: “You! This must have been your doing!”

???: “Look like we got some visitors.”

???: “And what do we do to visitors?”

???: “We give em a walloping!”

Two more figures appeared as the third revealed himself. One of them looked like Pepperman if he were coated in caramel and had a stick in his head. So did the other, although instead of a stick, he was missing an eye and looked like a cross between Pepperman and The Vigilante and the third looked like a gumslime version of The Vigilante. The sight of them caused Pizzelle to shudder

Pizzelle: “Sh-Sheriff… G-Gumbob… Applejim?”

Applejim: “What? Surprised to see me?”

Pizzano: “Yeah. We thought Coneball kicked you out because you were a fucking bastard? Also, hey guys!”

Applejim grumbled while Pizzano waved to his old friends

Sheriff: “Well if it ain’t Pizzano! Long time no see!”

Gumbob: “Yeah! And why’re you hanging with that Pizzelle fella?”

Pizzano: “It’s a long story.”

Pizza Tower: The Series Episode Concept

Title: "Beach Please"

Season: 2

Summary: The cast goes to the beach because GOD DAMN they need to cool off in this summer heat. Join them as they take dips in the sea, have a sandcastle contest and possibly almost murder each other. Oh, and don't worry about Vigi. He finds a way out of this.

Notes: The A-plot focuses on most of the cast having fun with various beach activities. Noisette and Gustavo have fun splashing in the ocean. Mr. Stick and Pepperman have a sandcastle contest (which promptly gets cut short when a big wave ruins their hard work), and The Noise buries Peppino in sand, and he almost suffocates before being rescued by Fake Peppino.

The B-plot focuses once again on The Vigilante VS Maria Nara, but this time Vigi actually welcomes this fight due to it giving him an excuse to leave (he'd never been to the beach before but he instantly regretted trying once he saw the ocean and remembered why). Maria is confused at first, but the two end up actually having a lot of fun in their fight. Thanks to a timely ice cream truck, the two take a break to get some ice cream... and then Maria looks around confused before realizing Vigi got away in the crowd.
