I almost had an aneurysm at work the other day when my coworkers randomly started singing ✨the jingle✨

I begged them to stop.

They were confused as to why I was so adamant they stop singing the theme song of Hell.

I refuse to let them know why. I’m okay with them thinking I’m insane. I’m not okay with them knowing how bad it tortures me.

Why must I be tormented so.

I went back to work yesterday after a week off, and all day I was ready to throw hands. I tried to fight everybody. Lukcily for me, customers were more than happy to play along and they were trying to fight me first

Woman: But that’s not called Spring Rolls it’s called Haru Baki (that’s how she pronounced it)

Me: Yes ma’am it’s just fried spring rolls, that’s what we have as far as spring rolls go

Woman: But I want spring rolls

Me: …That’s the Harumaki

tbh i think the number one most important thing about jealousy in a relationship is trust. i think you can be as jealous as you want so long as you have trust in the fact that your partner would not lie to you and is devoted enough to you to remain faithful to you. jealous people only attack the people they see as “threats” to their relationship because at the end of the day they don’t trust their partner to stick with them. that could stem from a personal insecurity or having been burned before but at the end of the day the issue is not the third party but instead their own lack of faith in their partner

Chapter two is up! It took me a while to get it right. I'm learning a lot writing a longer story this time and I like it. I hope to be quicker about future chapters.

Excerpt:

A desk worker escorted her through a long hallway, the hall of fame. Full of paintings of famous singers, all people who’d performed major lead roles. Even though she knew she wouldn’t be here anymore, she couldn’t help but look for her mum’s painting. Like she expected, it was long gone. Maybe her own could hang here instead, bring some glory back.

They ended up in the backstage lounge. A large decorated room with multiple couches and a little bar. A few other people were already there and she could hear singing coming from the stage. She caught herself in one of the many mirrors and smoothed her outfit. Perfect. She looked perfect.

you would think that the fake kiss on stage would make me think of deetress possibilities but no. it was too playful and happy. that was not a deetress kiss. deetress would either kiss with the harrowed desperation of milfs or with a kind of fragile mediocrity.

This is going to be the first thanksgiving I’ve ever worked (as a server) and I have a feeling it’s going to be… interesting.

Customer: *literally yells across the resteraunt* EXCUSE ME!

Me, a waitress: “Yes ma’am is everything okay?”

Customer: “something is wrong with my shrimp”

-Customer had ordered a side of just hibachi shrimp but with no sauce at all-

Me: “Oh dear, may I ask what the problem is?”

Customer: “Yeah this aint hibachi shrimp.”

Customer’s husband: “Yeah you brought us boiled shrimp.”

*sighs in oh my fucking god*

Me: “I can assure you that is the hibachi shrimp.”

Customer: “How can you say that? It’s clearly just boiled shrimp.”

Me: “I’m sorry ma’am but that is just not possible.”

Customer: “And why not?”

Me: “We do not boil shrimp at any point in this restaurant.”

She was complaining because the taste is bland. She literally wanted no sauce or seasoning at all, JUST the shrimp. But she said it was bland. Okay.

On writing and money (part two).

Had a lovely day today going around and promoting myself! That’s something I don’t hear a lot of Authors discussing…

I didn’t know that once I wrote books I would then have to run around telling everyone!! I’ve always supported local business and ever since my physical copies arrived I’ve been spending the last few months leaving card after card! Introducing myself to people and essentially having to talk up both books and present myself in a way that gets those books on shelves! It’s a daunting experience for me as I’m not always the most confident but I am glad for it! I get to visit so many wonderful little shops and places! Along the way I was recommended two new books to read and had a lovely meal!!

I am just beginning the journey but hopefully soon all this hard work will pay off! Being a writer full time is 90% going places, calling people, and sending emails! It’s 10% actually writing your books! I wouldn’t trade this for the world…

I just want this blog to be a testament to how far I’ve come and how far I wish to go!
