i saw ur recent post :) i know nothing abt dc and booster gold but what sort of superhero is booster gold?? feel free to ramble hehe

ooh this is interesting. you see people tend to stereotype booster as either a time travelling hero, or a self absorbed sell out. and sure hes got elements of both, but he is way more than that

he kinda acts like a classic golden hero -- I mean he took a lot of inspiration from superman originally -- but he does sponsorships and advertisements and whatever because he was also a football player before, and athletes do that all the time, and he figured why dont superheroes do that? and that's the thing that most people dont understand -- both in canon (either intentionally, like in the original booster gold comics, or unintentionally like newer stuff or when he gets represented in shows a lot) and just in the general fanbase -- hes perceived as shallow and barely a hero, if anything just a laughingstock. but at his core, hes selfless and he wants to help people. he likes money, sure, he loves being rich, but he also grew up poor, so it doesnt take that big of an adjustment when he loses his funds. basically, booster gold is very heroic and can be very selfless, hes just kind of perceived as a glory hound

and then the time travelling element is fun, but I don't really like it as his main focus. nowadays hes just brought in because theres time travel involved, but I much prefer his original time aspect presented in booster gold 1986 and time masters 1990, in my opinion the aspect of him always meant to time travel back, as well as the methods of travel and the rules put in place. going to the 80s and saving people, as well as just being stuck there because the time sphere broke (and not being able to time travel instantaneously) and then we he did get to time travel forward he learned that 1) you can only use each time travel method once, which adds a fun barrier to time travel but still makes it fun and 2) he was always intended to go to the 80s and save the president, which also adds a build up to what happens in time masters which expands more on time travel and ties these two elements together in a way I really enjoy. him discovering that being booster gold, the hero, is his destiny is also a plotline I really enjoy. I feel by removing this element and restriction of time travel it kind of removes his important character arc with this

but also, the other thing that drives his character is his lack of secret identity. nobody knows his real name, sure, but he doesnt have a real real name anyway. he lives as booster gold, not as a "michael jon carter" (which he does not!! go by btw). his identity is tied so strongly to being a superhero he doesnt know how to live without it. when he loses his suit or even just power in his suit, he has no idea what to do. in booster gold #13 when his suit is drained of power and hes injured and sickly from the previous issue, he is so glad to get his flight ring back even if it's just a hint of his previous powers, and the entire time he is just struggling without the powers he was accustomed to because of the suit. on top of that, the issues in #25 that he has from not being a hero, where he doesn't know how to live normally but also considers going back to the 25th century because he cant live in the 20th century anymore (for multiple reasons) but that was also when he has to accept that being booster gold is his destiny, and he cant get rid of it (he doesnt know how)

anyways I dont know if this makes sense at all or actually answers your question but I just think that booster gold and like how he is perceived by the public and by himself is very interesting and I just love a hero who's secret identity is so tied up in being a hero (where they dont even have a secret identity) that they don't know how to not be a hero, especially when its tied with being a celebrity and having fame and wealth, while also caring deeply about being a hero and helping (if I had a nickel...) idk i just love that kind of hero

pomni is on... less than ideal terms with erzip. theres just something about pomni that erzip doesnt like. pomni tries to be cordial, but still typically tries to avoid her and as a result, the two aren't really the closest.

ragatha is more of an acquaintance than anything. she's nice, but erzip fully believes that she can handle herself and doesnt turn to ragatha for much. they just respect each other. its not tense or awkward or anything and they often have pleasant conversations, its just that they aren't as close as they could be.

i walk over to a near bench and kneel on it with apologetic look. i bring the phone up to my ear. 

“hello..?” 

“im sorry” junghoons deep voice says on the other end. 

“i must have startled you by suddenly grabbing you arms.” 

“n-no! it wasnt because of that! its only that.. when you got close to me, i was startled.” i slightly panic, reassuring him that wasnt the case. 

“also, becaue i mentioned you smiling at me… to be honest, i just wanted to know if you were upset with me..but i asked the wrong thing! thats why i was so startled!” i ramble truthfully while fidgeting a bit. 

“me? upset with you?” he questions. 

“y-yes.. because you always put that serious expression whenever you look at me..” i answer looking down. 

“oh.” 

“what did i do? i'll apologize right away!!” 

“no, i just didnt smile at you because i assumed you were afraid of it.” 

“huuhh…?” 

“it because of what happened last time, in the classroom. when you told me you got startled.” he explained. 

“ah! no! i didn't say it with the intention of saying you scared me!!” i quickly stand up with widen eyes. 

“then why?” 

“because um..” 

‘if im being honest… i’m not sure why i reacted the way i did..’ 

“hello?” 

“oh! anyways, it wasn't because you smile scared me. why would i think that?!” 

“really?” 

“of course i really dont think its scary at all.” i reassure him, while sitting back down on the bench.  

“alright thats a relief. then, instead of avoiding me, come talk to me tomorrow.” 

“..alright!!” i exclaim while standing back up 

“i'll do it as soon as i get there!!” 

i hear a small laugh on the other side. 

“…ok.” 

‘i hear him laughing!!’  

“i'll see you tomorrow, y/n” 

i blush at his words and say goodbye before ending the call. 

i look over a jinsik who has been waiting for me from a distance.

he gives me a thumbs up, asking if every thing went ok. i quickly shoot him a thumbs up back happily

“well then… did you both clear the misunderstanding?” jinsik asks as we sit down, waiting for the subway. 

“i did! he thought i was afraid of his smile.. but that wasnt it. i cant believe all of this confusion was cause by that!” i smile and close my eyes. 

“phew~~~ i feel so relieved ( ⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝)” i relax in my seat. 

jinsik laughs and sits back with me. 

“ thank you jinsik! you are the best for helping me out!” i nudge his arm and smile at him.

“well~ i'm glad you could talk  things out. hmm.. by the way, y/n..why are you smiling like that~??” he pokes my arm, teasing me. 

“hehe… ( ˶ˆ꒳ˆ˵ ) it's just that.. my hear was heavy because i thought junghoon was upset with me. and i couldn't stop thinking about the misunderstanding we had..” i explain. 

“ohh~ also.. theres something im curious about..” the brown haired boy says. 

i tilt my head waiting for him to continue. 

“you said that you ran away after junghoon got close to you right? if i’d gotten that close to you.. would you have ran away too?” he asks curiously. 

“uh i dont think so..why?” i try to figure out what hes getting to. 

“that's strange, you said that you didn't like him romantically.. but you do like his smile, you care about what he thinks of you and you get startled when he comes close to you. if we look at all these things… i think you weren't being honest with me~” jinsik lists his reasons, trying to connect the dots. 

“do you.. like kim junghoon?” he finally asks. 

i look at him in shock.

“uh..could that be it..” i think as i bring my hand to my cheek.

y/n was the type of peson who thought love could be found at first sight. so when she was in elementarty school, she got fixated on the first guy she liked. then in middle school, she did the same thing with the fisrt nice and attractive guy she met. lastly, she did the same with ham jinsik in high school. atlthough her fixation on those guys usually lated les than two months, she was always honest about her feelings during that time.  

middle school~

“y/n i think you,, are more like a fanatic.” y/n’s middle school says. 

“a fanatic?” 15 year old y/n questions. 

“yes its similar to when you see a cute dog and like them only becaus they are cute. but you dont want to dath him just because you thought he was cute, do you?” her friend asks refering to y/ns crush at that time.

i never have cared if we actually start dating or not. it always been enough for me to just like them from afar.

“i’m greedier thant that! if we’re friends, ill try to get closer to him! ill be totally serious about dating him!” jiwoon exclaims.

“love is all about the feels.. tht the most important part!” i explain.

at least, thats what i've always believed in. love should come at first glance! so i guess thats why i always had such clear boundaries between my friends and the guys i liked. a male friend was always a male friend to me. they couldn't be my boy friends because i couldn't let them cross my personal boundaries. 

kim junghoon on the other hand.. who i have always thought of as a friend. it has become more difficult to think of him solely as that. i have never dared t see past my own rules..until he broke my boundaries. i think i'm beginning to think of him as more that just a friend.

First day of writing my thoughts feelings and experiences here and whatever else. I heard tumblr works well as a journal/blog so might as well.

Even though I'm honestly still not entirely sure how this platform works (especially not on the pc ver) we all learn as we go, don't we?

Anyhow. I gotta get back home from school.. can't believe I'm sick again! Man, it's all the girl's fault for not being able to keep their asses home when they're sick. I confronted one of the girls about it and she really said "You would've gotten mad at me for not coming to help with the project" (we are unfortunately working on a group contest together — a group of 6 girls) like, no girl, no one would. She was the one that got mad at another person from our group when THEY were sick and told them to come to school. Darn hypocrite.

I hate this damn problem doe. Its so stupid. There are ups to it though. For example, i didn't have to attend a bunch of classes which is cool but then again im falling behind w all the lessons and shit so thats not great.

I just want it to be over fast. Cant stand working w some of these people no more. Fake asf

Rn im taking a bath! My favourite thing to do ngl. Its so warm and nice and cosy. Outside, in the parking lot behind our house theres people setting up the farmers market. Ive always found it so endearing and nice!! I love farmers markets and even if i dont buy anything, just passing thru it is nice.

On another brighter than all the other notes!!! My boyfriend got accepted into Uni here!!! We'll be breaking long distance soon. Its all happening so fast but im so glad so so glad hes coming home soon. I miss him more than anything. He's also going to come visit in a week or so!! I cant wait

Next week our school has this thing called 'Green week' where we take a break from normal school activities to instead do other things related to nature n shit. In concept it sounds nice but our teachers always pick the most boring activities for us...that sucks. For example, we'll be going to the Botanical garden for 4 hours!!! That'd be cool and all but we all know the botanical garden like the back of our hands from how much we visited it.. Theres plenty of other things to see, im sure, but most teachers don't wanna bother with actual interesting stuff, unfortunately.

Another small something is that i have recently started playing Star Rail again! Its great!! I would say im doing quite well, advancing through the story and stuff... I still have to properly build my charas doe oops! Thing is, i came back for this new character called 'Boothill', truly a charming gentleman. Haha! I managed to farm around 100 wishes in a week with a bit of help from my boyfriend as well~ I will get Boothill guys trust!! I kinda gave in though and pulled for Aventurine as well ... and i got him. But theres around 40 days left to farm for Boothill so im sure ill be gucci!! Ill be pulling for both him and his lightcone... and hopefully more copies of him hehe~~~

Todays weather was kinda shitty. The weather has been shitty recently actually. Its so cold and it keeps raining even tho not too long ago it was all nice warm and sunny, like how spring should be! I miss the nice weather, i hope it comes back soon so i can wear my short skirts, long socks and cool graphic tees!

Hmm~ I might hop back on here later mayhaps mayhaps to write some more stuff but for now ill be signing off!

Great Marius analysis! I'd like to point out that Marius telling stories as an outsider is arguably something he's been shown to do since his character PV before the game's global release. He's not Marius the human in the PV, he's a cat. And just like the instances listed in the analysis where he talks about serious things in a detached manner, so too is he talking about being seen as a symbol of wealth and power not as himself, the human young man, but as a cat. I was wondering if there was a reason why his PV was so different than the others, but now I might understand why.

If this is the case, is that kiss that turns him from a cat to a human by mc at the end of a PV symbolising not them getting together, but mc finally getting him to drop the storytelling and confront what has happened to him directly...?

hes been tackling the concept of his vulnerabilities and truths in a story/storybook format ever his frigging character pv introduction

you say "arguably" and i say argument accepted! how he frames all this in his pv is pretty clearly in a playful storybook/bedtime story kinda way, both in the visual execution and writing. i always adored his character pv for being so different and cute and playful, but now in light of how The Rest Of What We Know and what i mentioned in the analysis, it's now way more interesting and...sad

i use this screenshot in particular because theres the distance and disconnect shown blatantly. while this part of the pv does this in regards to how the public sees him as a symbol instead of a being (and thus distancing who he is from like, his inherent Being A Person), marius also does it to himself by virtue of telling the story and walking away from it, albeit cutely, as he is a cat

i adore your conclusion as well because i agree.....the end of the story having the cat transform into a clearer image of Him, Marius is rlly striking. hes still telling a Story, but it makes sense for him to b doing that early on since this pv was his intro. but even then, theres a clear show that mc meets him on his level and her kindness and love on the character of the story brings that character closer to Being Marius

Here's some funny gossip to pass the time while you deal with your horrible roommate!! But on a totally unrelated note, I´m not that good of a red agent as David, but I can always give it a try…

Well, did I ever tell you how my high school started a rumor that I was gay? 😂

Allow me to elaborate and keep it short: Middle school, I had a group of friends of like 5 girls, but in high school all groups got mixed and I ended up in a class with just one of them. We all promised to remain close friends, but things happened (I genuinely don’t completely remember the reason but it was really stupid) and we stopped talking to each other. That girl in my class became my best friend for those years, and we made our own group (they were nice but we were never inseparable).

Anyway, my mom once found out there was a rumor that my best friend and I were both gay and dating. She asked me about it and I obviously denied everything (that was probably one of the reasons why it took me longer to figure it out, I lived in denial :))

Looking backwards, that rumor wasn’t entirely stupid, because we both acted like a couple sometimes… We held hands, were never seen without each other, called each other all sorts of nicknames (honey, sweetheart, love, queen, you get it). Our vice principal once thought he saw us kissing, but we were just sharing an ice cream reaaaaaaally close. Don't @ me lmaoo

She told me she was bi at some point. Aaaand she was also the first girl I liked and my gay awakening basically. I liked her and looking back I’m pretty sure she liked me back, but we were both too scared to do anything about it. Sad story? Yeah but anyways it is what it is :)

Well, lately I’ve been talking with my mom about high school and I just found out like half the people there kinda hated me??? Wtf?? And I also found out a lot of them were constantly talking shit about me behind my back and that there were more rumors about us that were started by that group of girls we stopped talking to for revenge maybe????

I mean it's been a while so it doesn’t affect me, but it is kinda frustrating finding out about it through my MOM. And it's also frustrating the fact that HALF MY HIGH SCHOOL KNEW I WAS GAY BEFORE I DID!!!

As you three make your way more down hill and get rid of those monsters you see an unconscious man with grey hair back and orange clothing too "hey guys quickly come here there's and person here!" you yell out to your co workers as you put down your swords and guns
