i did an art challenge a little bit ago, comparing the first drawing of one of my OCs to the latest drawing of him. my art has come a long way, i think 😅

his name is Aster 💜 he’s from my upcoming webcomic!! 💠 he’s also gone under a bit of a personality change since i first made him: from a reserved, posh, pretty-boy, to a wry, braggadocious, jock 🤭

i plan to post more OC content here as i continue working on the first chapter of my comic!! 😁✨

I'm new to digital art, at this time (I used to do what was called 'Computer Art' in the late 90s/early 2000s). It's been a major learning curve, like how there are specialized brushes one can purchase and download into one's software of choice. I'm poor right now and needed to make one of my secondary characters' braids stand out. And as a Black person, to showcase our protective styles in a fun and authentic way.
