WIP WEDNESDAY
The people have been reacting well to cunty dame so have some more :)
~~~~~~
All this to say – Nicky leaving was putting a major crimp in Dame’s lifestyle. She plucked a glass of champagne off a tray, taking a long sip and surveying the room from her perch near the window. Tia and Kam were deep in conversation next to the food table, while Nicky — as the guest of honor — was in the middle of the room, surrounded by a gaggle of their coworkers.
Kam walked over a moment later, a small plate of hors d’œuvres in hand. “So, are you planning to go talk to your girlfriend?” She asked conversationally.
Dame rolled her eyes, plucking a canapé off of her best friend’s plate and popping it into her mouth. “Nicky’s not my girlfriend.”
“Try telling her that,” Kam retorted, giving Nicky a polite wave and a smile. Nicky smiled back at her before turning her gaze to Dame, smile softening.
“She knows,” Dame said. “I’ve told her. I’m not the girlfriend type. It’s just a bit of fun, nothing more.”
“Yeah well, the trail of brokenhearted girls you leave behind shows that well enough,” Kam shoved her playfully.
Dame pursed her lips to hide her smile. “You’re just jealous,” she teased, finishing off her champagne flute and stepping forward to greet Nicky who had made her way over.
Dame leaned over, placing a ghost of a kiss on each of her cheeks. “Nicky,” she murmured. “Lovely party. Shame it's goodbye.”
“It doesn’t have to be. You could come back to Paris with me.” Nicky looked up at her hopefully.
Dame plucked another flute of champagne off the tray of a passing server, letting out a noncommittal hum as she looked away, meeting eyes with the Spanish woman who worked in reception, flashing her a wink and a smile. “Better not, I’m quite enjoying London,” she said flippantly.
FIRST TIME SMUT OKAY IM SORRY
18+ only pls if you’re younger avoid this?
Warning: Smut but also it’s really badly written I’m so sorry
Summary: a little misunderstanding Tony’s new AI leads to a pretty pleasant conclusion.
It’s not really dubcon because everyone has feelings for each other but they act on it before talking about it?
I wrote this in an hour and it’s my first time writing smut I’m sorry it’s not that great but I’m trying my hand let’s see.
X—X—X—X—X
“I think it would be better if we tell her now” Natasha told Wanda. The both of them sitting in the kitchen while Wanda made breakfast for the team.
“What if she’s too scared? What if she says no? What will we do then? I don’t think I can handle that rejection, Nat” Wanda replied to her girlfriend, not looking her in the eye.
“You know that’s not going to happen, malyshka” Nat assured her.
It was no secret that you were hopelessly in love with the witch and the ex-assassin. Everyone knew about it. You weren’t exactly subtle when it came to it. Always avoiding to spar with both of them, flushing red anytime somebody even remotely teased you about it. Not to mention the fact that Wanda could always hear your thoughts about the two of them, never failing to blush at just how utterly smitten you were. It was getting ridiculous, why wouldn’t you just tell them? Could you really not see how they were flirting with you? Did you think that they would let just anyone cuddle with them during movie night? How about the fact that in the event of a nightmare, both of them would leave their shared room and ask to lay down besides you. Was that not clear enough? Could you-
Ms. Maximoff. Ms. Romanoff. Ms.Y/L/N appears to be in distress and calling for the two of you. Tony’s new beta AI ‘Wednesday’ interrupted the conversation.
Her vitals indicate increased heart rate and raised body temperature. She also seems to be repeating your names.
Sharing a concerned look they both rushed to your room
They were about to knock when they heard a loud ‘FUCK’
Not waiting, they barged into your room without knocking.
You yelped as the two of them entered. They noticed you were trembling, face flushed, and practically hyperventilating.
“W-what are you d-doing here?” You stammered, wide eyes darting between the two of them. “Detka, Wednesday told us that you weren’t doing well and that you were calling for us” Natasha said as she sat down beside you, causing a whimper to come out of your mouth. She noticed how your knuckles were white as you gripped the bed sheets. She was about to put her hand against your forehead when she glanced at your unlocked phone beside you. As soon as she saw the app that was open, she realised where the slight buzzing was coming from and put two and two together. Hiding her smirk she glanced at Wanda, and pointedly looked at your phone. Wanda’s eyes widened when she realised what was going on and grinned. Wanda slowly made her way towards your other side.
“I’m- shit- I’m fine” You muttered weakly. Closing your eyes, trying so so hard not to combust on the spot.
Without you realising, Wanda had taken your phone and increased the vibration setting to the second highest.
“Holy fuck.” You eyes widened as your chest started heaving, gripping the bedsheets even more.
“What’s wrong kotenok?” Wanda asked with faux concern. Running her finger up and down the side of your arm.
“Nothing. Just.. p-please leave. I’d like to be alone right now” You said, not looking at either of them in the eye. Trying so hard not to come right there. The vibrator inside you not doing you any favours. Why the ever-loving fuck did you not lock the door. You were going to kill Tony and his stupid AI.
“Are you sure you want us to leave, malyshka?” Natasha asked sweetly, looking at you as if she was going to eat you up-
Nope. Nope. You can’t think like that. You weren’t going to last and thinking like that definitely wasn’t going to help things.
“Holy fucking shit” You exclaimed, as the vibration jumped even higher. (Thanks to wanda. Not that you knew anyway)
“You know..” Wanda started
“If we did leave right now.. there’s something that we wouldn’t be able to tell you” Natasha continued.
Trying hard to control your breathing but failing. You were so close. You looked up at them in question.
They both leaned right next to either side of your head, their warm breath tickled against your neck.
“This is what we wanted to tell you” Wanda whispered
Natasha looked at her smirking and bit your neck.
“Come for us, baby” Wanda stated right next to your ear.
That’s it. That’s all it took. With a scream, you came. Your back arching, waves of pleasure leaving you writhing on the bed as they both helped keep you still. You just kept on coming, screaming their names until your voice gave out.
“That’s it, baby. Such a good girl for us” Natasha praised against your ear, earning a loud moan. The vibration just didn’t stop, and soon enough, you were coming again. This time however, the vibration stopped.
You felt like you were about to pass out until you realised where you were and whom you were with.
Your eyes shot open as you began to apologise when you saw their hungry looks. Your words died in your throat. That’s when you saw your phone in Wanda’s hand.
“You- you di-“ you started weakly
Wanda shushed you.
“Just enjoy this sweetheart.” She said as she stroked your forehead.
“You’re not upset?” You asked feeling vulnerable.
“No, baby, we’re not upset. We were deciding to how to tell you that we feel the same way when Wednesday told us you were calling for us.” Natasha said
You blushed, turning your head into the pillow and groaning in embarrassment before you turned your head in shock at the two of them.
“Wait. You like me?” You asked, hopeful
“No baby” Wanda said chuckling.
Natasha slapped her arm when she saw your hurt look and hurriedly continued. “What she means is that we don’t like you, we love you”
Your lower lip trembled as you looked at them.
“I love you so much too” you whispered, each hand caressing their cheeks. Your heart melted when they both simultaneously nuzzled into your palms.
Unable to hold herself anymore, Wanda practically fell on you as she enveloped you in a hug, only pulling back when you let out a loud squeak. She looked at you in concern.
Your face burned as you explained “It’s.. um.. it’s still inside me”
Both of them looked at each other and laughed, much to your embarrassment.
“Guess we’ll have to do something about that” She replied with a smirk, slowly leaning towards your face.
You were going to kill Tony. Maybe just hug him too.
X—X—X—X—X
I’m not a writer and definitely haven’t done this before. Pls tell me if you liked it and all thank you for reading.
love and its lethal consequences / tom riddle
pairing: tom riddle x fem!reader
content: muggleborn!reader, dark!tom, mild swearing, violence
summary: tom grapples between his dark desires and his unlikely affection for you. it’s deadly.
a/n: part 3 to this lil series :> pls lmk if u guys r enjoying so far!! idk how long i want this to be but we shall see where it goes
read the previous parts: one two
Tumblr media
⋆ ࣪.  ⁺⑅ ⋰˚ *.゚ .˳⁺⁎˚ ˚⁎⁺˳ . ༺ ˖࣪ ˖࣪ ∗
Tom has decided. And once Tom decides something, nothing will get in his way.
You are to be his.
The murder would be the easiest part of all. Twice, now, he’s done it. First with that disgusting, grumbling Myrtle and second with his nasty father he can’t even be bothered to think about.
Third time is always the charm. He has it all figured out.
“Tommy!” you beam, following the daily routine. You slide over a treacle tart. “You liked these ones last time.”
He accepts the dessert wordlessly. He’s too deep in thought. You grin.
A few more moments of silence pass and you begin to be irritated by the lack of noise. You have to fill the air up somehow. “Have I told you about Murph yet?”
He’s almost sickened by the name itself. So much so that he can’t stomach the lovely tart your mother has made for him. You’re on a nickname basis now? “You have not.”
You haven’t told him anything about this boy, but he already knows everything. He won’t have to worry about this foul beast for much longer, so he’ll tolerate the giddiness in your eyes for now.
“We’ve just gone on a date. I think it went well, you know? He’s sweet. Opens the door for me, matches pace. That type of thing.”
Tom could do that too if that’s what you really wanted. “How wonderful,” he deadpans.
You’d be a fool not to notice the way his eye twitched when you said the word “date” or the poorly hidden sarcasm he laced in his speech.
“I think our next one is this Wednesday,” you continue.
He’s absolutely fucking repulsed. If he didn’t know any better, he’d march on over to that moron’s room and take care of it himself. But there’s a plan, procedure to be followed. And Tom is nothing if not methodical.
“I can’t believe it! The both of us have dates this week. What even are our lives now?” Camilla cheers, leaning back in her seat.
“I don’t think Tom is very happy about mine.”
She raises a brow. “That’s because Murphy isn’t pure. I’m telling you, Riddle’s lot is psychotic.”
“Okay, I’m not a fan of them either, but Tom knows I’m not pure. He’s been perfectly pleasant.”
“He hardly speaks!” she retorts.
You roll your eyes and urge her to continue reading her book. She complies. Camilla’s never been very argumentative.
As she settles in the pages, all entranced by the words, you lean back in your chair. It is a strange twist of fate that you’re now friends with Tom, but despite Camilla’s warnings, you can’t get yourself to leave. It’s a comfortable trap.
“Hello,” Tom says from behind you as you swing your feet on the railings.
You don’t skip a beat. “Hi!”
Tom knows by now that he can’t surprise you.
The echoing chambers of Hogwarts are bathed in soft moonlight, and no one else is around. Tom is usually by himself at this time. You only steal each other’s afternoons.
“You know,” you muse, breaking the comfortable quiet that settled between you. “You’re very important to me.”
Tom clears his throat. He’s never really been important to anyone. He swallows. “Likewise.”
He’s avoiding your gaze. You think it’s cute. His lips quirk into a faint smile, a rare glint of amusement dancing in his dark eyes, but it’s gone as soon as it comes.
Suddenly, you study his face, trying to unravel the mysteries hidden within. He’s more withdrawn recently. Even quieter, if that’s possible. You suppose it has something to do with Murph but you never can be too sure when it comes to him.
“You’re staring,” he says.
“I like the view.” He sighs.
Tom is not a good person. Far from it. Your friend realises it but you don’t. You’re a glimmer of hope in the darkness that threatens to consume him, that’s already consumed him. You’re both refuge from his despair and a constant reminder. He finds solace in your company and he hates it but now he has no choice. He can’t bring himself to kill you. He knows he never will and so it has to be this way.
It will hurt you, undoubtedly. It will make him more terrible than he already is.
Time is creeping up on him. You’re growing closer with that wretched Ravenclaw and the longer he waits, the more you will be affected.
“Murphy Atthill.”
He turns around at the call of his name and can’t help but feel uneasy. Tom’s presence tends to do that. “Riddle? What can I do for you?” he asks politely. He isn’t very good at masking his anxiety.
Tom casts the Killing Curse and he feels the unmistakable split of his soul as he recites haunting Latin incantations. He knows there’s no going back.
A chilling sense of finality looms over him and yet it weighs light on his conscience. All for the better, this is. In fact, it’s a twisted sense of satisfaction that he feels knowing that the deed is done. He knows he’s crossed a line with you from which there is no return,
But Murphy’s eyes lifeless are much prettier that way.
“You are not going out dressed like that.”
“I—Excuse me? This is literally the only night I can go out like this!”
He tugs on the front of his white, nearly see-through, frilly long and loose blouse with a gusto. His face is morphed into one of disbelief as he stares into your dead panned expression.
“No. I see you in that outfit every single day. Are you not aware of the time difference?” Your arms are crossed, hip jutted out that makes the slit in the side of your costume widen even more. As much as he fights it, he can’t help but let his eyes flicker to the overly exposed skin as his tongue darts out for a split second to wet his lips and play nervously with his lip ring.
When his eyes meet yours he knows you’ve caught him in the act, if not for the elegant yet sultry way you walked towards his figure with a smirk adorning your red painted lips. The cape you were wearing framed you perfectly and only accentuated your beauty even more. As much as he hates to admit it, considering what your costume of choice pertains too. Them. His entire body cringes inwardly.
Your face rises to meet his, a feat that normally has you on your tip toes to complete the action, but not tonight. Tonight, your feet are clad in ruby red heels that give you the perfect amount of height and compliment your costume of choice for the evening — little red riding hood — knowing full well how much it would rile the centuries old vampire in front of you.
“And yet you have to choose a costume from a storybook that has to do with–,” his face scrunches, nose crinkling, and the corner of his lip rising into a small snarl that exposes one long, sharp, fang. “–wolves? I mean, really y/n?”
“What can I say? Hairy bodies are a turn on.”
A loud snort from him. Laughter bubbles in your throat. One coffin shaped, manicured hand lays over his chest. If he weren’t the undead, you have no doubt that it would be beating as erratically as yours currently is due to the close proximity, or maybe that’s just you and your ridiculous crush you’ve had on the vampire for a long time now.
Unbeknownst to you, the sound was like music to the vampire’s ears as he placed one massive tattooed covered hand over yours to squeeze it gently, it meant you had blood pumping through your veins, the vital organ still going strong.
You were still here.
You were still with him.
You were still alive.
Not like on the night where he first found your pale, nearly lifeless body all those years ago.
‿෴🦇෴‿
Then ~ Wednesday, October 31st, 2018 11:30PM
“Some friends they are.”
You crossed your arms tighter around your chest, attempting and failing to secure some semblance of body heat from the chilly, autumn night air. Leaves rustled in the biting wind, littering empty streets underneath the light of the full moon as you slowly and quite wobbly made your way back to your studio apartment. You regretted taking that extra shot before leaving the party, almost as much as you regretted entrusting your supposed friends with letting you know when they were leaving. Now here you were, all alone on Halloween night.
Your horror loving mind drifted to the many movies that started out on a night just like this, one’s where you previously scolded the character for making such a foolish life choice. Even going so far as saying that they deserved to be murdered brutally for their careless act. Look at you now, doing the same exact thing you once admonished with a mocking laugh at the tv screen right before the killer strikes and–
A twig snapping had your head whipping to the side, yet you saw nothing. The hairs on the back of your neck stood on end, however, as if there was someone or something out there watching you, tucked just out of sight behind the line of trees that led to the woods at the edge of town.
“Oh no.” You raised your voice to the dark woods around you with sarcasm. “I sure hope there aren’t any sexy vampires looking for prey out here or heaven forbid a captive!” Shaking your head at your own sense of humor, you snickered, opening your mouth to spew some more dark comedic gold that gets silenced by yet another twig snapping but this time it was closer.
Much closer.
Fuck.
Picking up your once slow pace, your heels clicking on the paved, stone walkway in a frenzied haste do you hear a more fear inducing sound from right behind you. A voice.
“When I let go, run for your life.”
It’s only when the disembodied voice breathlessly caresses the shell of your ear, do you notice how badly you’re shaking. Let alone the fact that there’s a a very pale, lanky, hand on your shoulder. True to their word, they let you go.
And you run for your fucking life.
Now you understood why those many characters would run straight into dark woods, rather than continue down the lit up street. In the woods, you could hide. On the streets, you were open and vulnerable. Wasn’t much of a tough decision when you’re the one being pursued.
Another thing you now understood, how it was so easy to–
The heel of your shoe embedded itself into the soft, wet soil and latched itself in between two branches sticking out of the ground with perfect precision and you tripped. Your arms flung themselves out haphazardly in a desperate attempt to catch your unprecedented fall. Hands, arms, legs and knees becoming scraped by various rocks and branches that poked out from beneath the ground.
Your hands immediately went to the strap of your heel and with shaky hands you barely managed to unbuckle the impromptu foot restraint, freeing yourself and pushing your exhausted body back up into a standing position. Coming to the conclusion you were better completely barefoot now, you freed your other foot from the speed hindering heel and chucked it angrily to the side. A heavy mist now clung to the woods, halting what little moonlight remained from passing through the already thick foliage of the cluster of trees around you.
Straining your eyes through the mist, you saw a shadow stood in the distance, completely still except for the wave of a hand. A whimper escaped your mouth, lips trembling and eyes watering. They had found you, but you won’t be giving up that easily.
Wiping your eyes in order to see clearly, you postured yourself in a position to run and bolted out of there, dodging branches and bushes along the way that only cut you up even more until you stumbled into an open area in the woods that housed an abandoned building.
A very creepy, dark, decrepit, seemingly haunted abandoned building.
Well, shit.
Checking the woods behind you, you see a blur making its way towards you and you realize that once again, you have no choice but to make the absolute worst choice possible.
You needed to go into the building.
Steeling your resolve into not dying, you thrust open the rusty door that was almost falling off its hinges at the years of decay and not being used. The screeching it emanated rivaled that of a nail on a chalkboard and your entire body cringed. Pushing your way into the darkness, you blindly felt for a wall to help maneuver your way through.
During your slow ascent into the building, does the door suddenly slam behind you, causing you to jump and let out a shrill shriek. Along with the deafening slam do you hear what sounds like a lock clicking into place.
What the actual fuck was going on here? Was this all actually real or a really elaborate prank set up by your shitty friends? Whatever it was, you weren’t having it anymore. Time to do what you do best when you’re scared – use your sense of humor.
“This is very funny.” You announce to the supposedly empty room around you. The door had locked itself, and you found yourself even moreso alone with little applicable skill to get yourself out of there. “I’m not the protagonist type, I’m more of the comedic best friend character. Now can someone please bust in here and save me?”
Silence. Nothing but eerie silence.
It was worth a shot.
Unlike the blur you saw in the woods, this time you saw more of a wispy white fog begin to appear on the opposite side of the room. It cast a faint glow, more than enough for you to utilize it and sprint down the hallway that made itself visible due to your ghostly accomplice.
Bare feet padded quickly along, and you tried your best not to look behind you just knowing that you wouldn’t like what you saw. So, instead, you plowed through the various hallways that now felt like an endless maze with how alike they appeared. The doors that lined the hallways were the same as well, solid except for a thinly shaped window that was planted in the middle within eyesight of what’s deemed ‘normal height’ for a human. You wondered what this place was used for, but thought best not to investigate and trouble yourself further with details.
The only thing you should be concerned about is getting out of this place alive.
The heavy fall of boots echoed across the halls that made you pause in your step to listen closer and decipher which direction it was coming from. Not having an inkling of the layout of this building, you realized trying to figure it out was futile and instead continued on. It wasn’t until you heard the footfalls sound in the hallway you just exited from did you begin searching for a door that was unlocked in order to hide.
Jiggling several handles, you found they were all locked. You just about gave up hope when you saw a door at the end of the hallway that was cracked open. Quietly running towards the door, the boots crept closer. Just as you slid your body through the crack of the door and shut it all but a sliver so you could peek through, did the mystery predator reveal themselves.
Your breath caught in your throat, eyes collecting pools of liquid that trailed down your face as you tried your damndest not to make a sound as they inched closer and closer to your hideout.
They were wearing all black clothing, the only pop of color coming from the hideous stark white mask that was littered with specks of something you couldn’t quite make out due to the distance, the mask that covered their face successfully hiding their true identity. As they came within a yard away from the door, did you come to the grim conclusion that this person had what looked to be dark, red splatters of an unknown substance all over their clothes and mask.
Something that was scarily akin to blood.
Closing your eyes, your hands covered your mouth in a fruitless attempt to stifle the whimpering that wanted to come out from the sheer terror that coursed through your veins. Every passing moment felt eternal. And you couldn’t tell if closing your eyes made it better or worse.
You didn’t know if hiding would be the ultimate factor in you getting out alive or not, but it was the only idea you had left. As you pushed yourself further into the corner of the room, your back slid down the wall in relief once the footsteps faded.
Taking a deep breath, your head fell on your knees. With a shaky exhale you let out a minuscule puff of laughter. You were tired, your body was tired. It wasn’t till you felt you had a moment of safety did your body wind down from its adrenaline rush and now all you felt was the crash that comes after it. You allowed this feeling for only a fleeting second, then hoisted your body up and out the door, but not before cautiously poking your head out to be sure the mystery figure was truly gone.
They were. For now.
You stepped out from your safe haven and attempted to make your way back down the hallway from whence you came, hoping you’ll get dumb luck down another corridor and find the exit. Your heart pounded this time, but not from fear. This time, it was pumping with liquid courage through your veins.
Despite your earlier declaration of being the secondary comedic relief, you decided with renewed vigor that you would be the final girl.
Oh, how wrong you were.
There was a sharp pain in the back of your head, your mouth opened in a silent scream that would never come as your body collapsed on the cold, tile floor and you were down for the count. Your body no longer having the energy to fight back, that liquid courage seemingly sucked up in a matter of seconds you just lay there – still. Your eyes struggled to stay open as you blinked them, trying to focus on the white mask that was within your line of sight as the figure knelt down and stroked your forehead, gently pushing the clump of hair that fell in your face away and tucking it behind your ear. The very same ear where you could feel a trickle of liquid slither down the side of your face and off your nose. The last thing you see being red before you closed your eyes for what you thought would be the last time.
Jungkook’s POV ~ The Same Night
He sniffed the air, smelling the faint metallic odor of ‘crimson crack’ as he liked to call it. Tilting his head back, he closed his eyes and honed in on it, letting it take over every one of his senses in order to conclude where the source is coming from. Opening his eyes, they flashed a deep red, before returning back to their usual brown state.
In a flash, he was gone.
When he reappeared, he was standing in front of an abandoned building. His head tilted in confusion, ears perking when they hear the tall tale sign of a human heartbeat. Faint, but there. And it seemed to be getting closer, even a hint louder in its desperate attempt to keep pumping blood, oxygen, life to its human shell.
Interesting.
His hand reached for the door handle, which he promptly brought back to his side and took a step back when he realized the handle was turning on its own and the door began to open. He clasped his hands together in front of his abdomen and waited for the grand reveal of his next meal.
With his centuries of life, he would’ve thought that he saw it all. Apparently, that wasn’t the case. This night, he would have another first.
Seeing you. Smelling you.
Your blood alone caused the saliva in his mouth to pool, the scent making him feel dizzy in a state of euphoria. Body vibrating with the need to get closer to you, to taste you. He nearly pounced, if not for the minor inconvenient detail of your limp body being carried over the shoulder by an all black clothed human male. The mask this male chose was displeasing to the eyes in a sense of it was so gaudy and fake.
The male stiffened upon seeing Jungkook, the hand that clenched the knife that he used to both knock you out and engrave his alias initials into the length of your neck gripped the handle, his knuckles becoming more pronounce as they strained against the leather material of black gloves he was wearing.
“Who the fuck are you?”
Jungkook could tell that the male had anger issues. His voice was devoid of emotion, cold. It made Jungkook chuckle with a deep laugh that had the masked assailant stepping forward in hopes of scaring Jungkook. It only spurred on the laughter more, and made the male even more angry.
“Shut the fuck up, you freak! You wanna die?”
“Do you?” The laughter ceased as if by a flip of a switch. The wind blew between the two males where only one couldn’t suppress the shiver that went down their spine. The masked male thoughtlessly threw your unconscious body onto the ground next to him, a loud ‘thump’ followed shortly after your weighted body hit the solid dirt of the woods. He then poised himself with the bloodied knife raised in front of him, ready to strike with the intent to kill.
Jungkook tsked sardonically.
“Give me the girl and I’ll let you go.”
He thought the deal was good. The masked man did not.
“Fuck you. She’s mine. Get your own, the night’s young.”
“True, it is. But I’m not. And I’m easily annoyed. So, I’ll give you one more chance, human. Give me the girl.”
The masked male blamed his obscured sight from the small holes that the mask granted him, the material only making it harder for him to see Jungkook clearly. Though, he swears he sees his eyes flash red, but it’s gone within the next blink of his eyes. His gut tells him to run, but his pride prevents him from doing so.
The masked male makes his move, and his knife impales into Jungkook’s chest — directly where his beating heart should’ve been. Except, it wasn’t.
“My turn.”
Jungkook grips the male by his arm and yanks his body until it’s pressed tightly against his, using his other arm to encase the squirming male and prevent him from escaping. The mask falls off to reveal a young face, barely hitting his mid 20s. The amount of fear that is on his face gives Jungkook a sick sense of satisfaction.
“What are you?”
The male whispers fearfully. Jungkook doesn’t answer, and instead grins widely. Both fangs twinkled in the faint moonlight as the male’s eyes widened in horror, only to close moments later as Jungkook sinks his fangs into the male’s neck and begins to drain him of every drop of blood in his body.
Y/N’s POV ~ Moment’s Later
When you come to, you find yourself laying on the dirty earth floor as your nails dig into the soil and it gets stuck underneath. Inhaling a breath – it’s crisp, cool, autumn air. You let out a broken whimper when you realize that you’re alive, but it hurts to move. Your head is at an awkward angle, but you can make out two blurry figures out of your peripheral. One looks limp, and the other looks as if they’re embracing the other in order to keep them standing.
In a way, you were right. Your eyes then dart to the fallen off mask that’s settled a few yards in front of you, and you wonder what exactly happened to your perpetrator for them to let you go. You don’t have time to dwell on it for too long, as the next thing you see is the back of your eyelids as you pass back out. It seems like your mind was awake, but your body still needed some recovering.
The next time you open your eyes you’re laying in a huge bed, in a huge room that looks like you’ve been transported into Dracula’s castle, but you were still in a modern home. The decor and looked ancient and worn, yet surprisingly still in good condition. As you sat up, your body no longer felt drained of energy, and in fact, you felt refreshed and reinvigorated.
Your bare feet hit the cool flooring as you stand up straight. A knock on the closed bedroom door has you flinching back to your previously scared state and you hold your breath as the door slowly opens.
In the threshold of the door stands a very attractive male, who looks like along with this castle, he’s from the world of Dracula. His skin is almost sickly pale, yet his eyes held a natural warmth to them. He just stands there, and doesn’t attempt to step inside once he notices your scared expression.
“I’m not going to hurt you.”
His voice is smooth and velvety. Despite not knowing this person and going through the ordeal you were just in, your gut tells you that you can trust them. So, either stupidly or —no, just stupidly — you do.
“I know.”
When he hears your voice for the first time, his stomach does flips. It was in that moment a kind of bond was formed, and you’ve been inseparable since.
Now ~ Monday, October 31st, 2022 7:50PM
His hand can’t help but trace the faint scarring of initials that still resides on your neck to this day. A constant reminder to him and you of the horrific, yet fateful, night you met.
Your eyes close reflexively upon contact and you let out a sigh of discontent, knowing where his mind just wandered to, as does yours.
“Koo, I’m still here. It’s okay.”
Your eyes open to meet his. There’s a pinch inbetween his brows that you just want to rub away with your finger, so you do. He chuckles, the vibration flowing through your own body in waves that has you giving him a warm smile.
“I was doing it again, wasn’t I?”
“You were.”
He clicks his tongue, shaking his head to rid of the intruding and unpleasant thoughts and regain focus on the mission for tonight – going out with you on Halloween night to a frat party you were invited to by a brainless jock that Jungkook already hates with a burning passion for catching your attention.
“Shall we go?”
Your eyes narrow into his and you pat his chest, before turning and walking away from him to reach into your bag and pull out an outfit you brought just for him. It wasn’t so much a costume as it was an outfit you just really wanted to see him in.
“Nice try, buddy. But I didn’t forget.” You make your way back over to him with the outfit held out in front of you. “Wear this. No objections.”
He groaned, but resigned to his fate and took the outfit from your outstretched hand. He waves his hand as a motion for you to turn around while he changes. You lift a lone brow at his sudden shyness.
“It’s not like I haven’t seen you nude before.”
He rolls his eyes, then narrows them at yours. You throw your hands up in defeat and make a show of slowly turning around until your back is to him. As you bring your hands back down, one subconsciously falls to the scarred initials on their own and just like Jungkook, some aspects of that night fog the forefront of your mind.
You let out a chortle that catches Jungkook’s attention, his eyes fall immediately to where your hand resides as he zips up the black pants you wanted him to wear, but he doesn’t say anything. He knows he doesn’t have too, you always tend to speak your mind.
“Remember when I thought for a second that you were actually going to hold me captive?”
He does. As does his body, even moreso as he flexes the muscles of his back to shrug on the crimson red bomber jacket that covers the plain, black shirt he’s wearing underneath. Tugging the cuffs of the sleeves down into a comfortable position.
“Yeah. I gave you the benefit of the doubt to just walk out the door, and as soon as I turn my back to you, you stab me.”
You throw your head back in laughter, and he can’t help the quirk of his lip that occurs at the sight and sound of it. There’s no blood pumping through his veins, no warmth to his skin, but still he felt a unique glow when it came to you that was within the depths of his soul. It was hard to describe, and he couldn’t say exactly how it was possible, but it happened. Only when it ever came to you. And for a moment, he felt a sliver of being human again.
“Can you blame me though?” He doesn’t. “Are you almost done?”
“Impatience will be the death of you.”
“I think knives will be the death of me, actually. Maybe some poison.”
He folds his arms across his chest.
“Funny.”
“I thought so.”
“You can turn around now.”
“I still don’t understand why you didn’t want me to wat–,” your words die in your throat as you turn around and take Jungkook in in all his glory. Jesus. You changed your mind. This outfit would be the death of you. Your thighs rub together without your knowing, it makes Jungkook’s nostrils flare for a second, and he stiffens, clearing his throat.
“That bad, huh?” He tries to break the tension that came out of nowhere as you continued to stare at him. It’s like your brain stopped computing he looked that good.
“Oh, shut up. Don’t pretend that you don’t know how sexy and amazing you are.”
The words flew out of your mouth unfiltered, unfaltering, and you weren’t even ashamed. It baffles him how a human could be so truthful. So unabashed.
“Let’s just go.” He’s still stiff as he brushes past you and you catch the whiff of the earthy and musky scent that is just naturally him, it only made the want for him that much more prominent and you trail behind him like a lost puppy.
‿෴🦇෴‿
Frat House ~ 8:24PM
Even though you two are early, the party is already in full swing. The music is loud, so damn loud, it makes Jungkook’s sensitivity to sound a hinderence in his opinion - but he does his best not to let it ruin the night. Before you even stepped inside, the porch was littered with bodies as a couple seemed to be making out not too far from the entrance of the house. Red solo cups, beer cans and bottles alike were thrown haphazardly in the bushes surrounding the porch.
How could humans be so careless? Jungkook thought with a grimace. Back in his day it was frowned upon, but now it was the new normal. How the times have changed.
His nose crinkled in disgust at the public display of affection that should be withheld for closed quarters, and you just walked by like it was second nature. The front door wasn’t even fully closed, so all you had to do was push it open to gain access. From what you heard, you thought it was going to be a ‘limited access’ party, apparently you heard wrong. It felt like the entirety of the school was present and upon the door shutting behind you two, the cluster of body heat was more than prominent, triggering your slight case of claustrophobia.
Jungkook could sense your distress, his open palm rested securely on your lower back as his thumb rubbed circles in hopes of easing your anxiety. He could feel you tense, then relax. Bending down so his head was next to yours he asked you a question.
“Want to head to the back?”
You nod your head in answer and he guides you both through the crowd. You do your best to smile and wave at those you know so as not to be rude, but in truth, you just wanted to get the hell out of there for now.
“Empty handed? Here!”
A random guy pops up next to you both as you almost make it to the back door from the kitchen, and shoved two red solo cups of an unknown liquid into your hands. He salutes with a dopey smile and saunters off. You presume he’s going to fill more cups for other random guests. He looked familiar now that you thought about it, and you think it has to do with his two different colored eyes, it always wowed you.
Before you know it, you’re both back outside in the night air and it’s easier to breathe. Jungkook swiftly grabs the cup from your hands and dumps it into a bush nearby. You give him a quizzical look as he dumps his as well.
When he focuses his attention back onto your puzzled one, does he explain his reasoning.
“Never drink from a cup that you didn’t pour yourself, you don’t know what could be in it.”
Your mouth forms an ‘O’ shape and you heart palpitates from the level of protectiveness he’s showing. It never fails to get your heart racing.
He smirks knowingly, and opens his mouth to make a flirtatious comment.
“I love how your heart races for–,”
He’s cut off by a letterman jacket and he wonders what the big deal with them are while the guy pulls you into a tight hug with a big grin.
“Y/N! You made it!” His enthusiasm seems genuine as he tightens his hold on you. Not seeming to care in the least bit that he has to bend over awkwardly to accommodate your obvious height difference. It causes a snarl to build within Jungkook’s chest that he fights to suppress so as not to bring unwanted attention to himself.
“Joonie! Thanks for the invite!” Your tone is light and airy, a soft puff a laughter escapes your lips at the death grip he has on you. You savor the hug, returning it in earnest before you mutually let each other go. His hands are on your shoulders as he takes in your costume of choice.
“Little red, hm?” His brow raises and he lets out a bellowing laugh that you can’t help but join in on. You forgot about the inside joke that was made back in your freshman year of college and he makes a playful jeer.
“Am I still the big bad wolf?” He waggles his eyebrows feigning being seductive, and you snort in embarrassment that causes the natural flush in your cheeks to make a show. It was a one time misjudgement when you decided to listen to the gossip of those around you, rather than form your own opinion. Everyone described Kim Namjoon as a heartless, hard headed, quick to temper and pessimistic jock. You would learn, in fact, he was very much the opposite and those who said otherwise just never had the courage to even try and befriend the tall, lovable, giant you now consider a good friend. Their loss.
Jungkook hates it. He hates all of it. What was this talk of being a wolf? He wasn’t one. He was normal. Jungkook would be able to tell otherwise. And why are you acting as if you completely erased his presence from your side like he wasn’t even there. Anger began to rise, and he closed his eyes in order to prevent the red from showing to the humans around him. He should’ve worn his contacts, but you encouraged him to just ‘be himself’ whatever that means.
Jealousy. A ridiculous human emotion that unfortunately can still occur with vampires.
He loathed it. Like he loathed this human boy.
He began to mimic the timing of breathing as a form of meditation, regaining his sanity and self back just in time for you to acknowledge him and introduce him to your male companion.
“Joon, I’d like you to meet my good friend Jungkook. Jungkook, this is Namjoon. He’s the host, and my science partner.”
Namjoon scoffs at your introduction of him.
“Just your science partner, huh? Is that all I am to you? A lab partner that makes sure you pass the class in order to graduate this year?”
You give a feigned moment of silence as if in thought, your finger resting on your bottom lip that slightly parts them in the process. Jungkook doesn’t miss the way Namjoon’s eyes flicker to them upon the innocent action, but you do. All you do is give an over exaggerated wink in reply. He places a hand over his heart and acts hurt.
Seems like this human boy has taken an interest in you. He wonders if you feel the same.
Again. He feels the jealousy build and stiffens, then relaxes though his fists stay clenched tightly behind him. He plasters a fake smile on and interrupts your little flirtatious banter.
“Pleasure.” His hand is outstretched, waiting.
Namjoon just sees it as a polite gesture and takes it with a soft, yet firm grip. He realizes that there’s even a slight height difference with the jock himself as he steps forward towards Jungkook, leaning into the handshake. It takes everything that Jungkook has not to crush every bone in his hand as he relays what is considered normal strength for a human during a handshake.
You watch the two with wary eyes, but inwardly sigh with relief when their hands part and nothing else happens. Maybe they could be friends after all, or so that’s what you hoped.
“Please, by all means. Feel free to take advantage of the beverages and food. Mi casa es su casa, and all that jazz!” Another female party goer slides into Namjoon’s side and places a hand on his chest. Jungkook is surprised when you greet the female with even more excitement. He assumed you would be upset, furious even.
“Natalie! I thought you said you weren’t going to be able to make it?” You gave the girl a mock glare, and she gave a twinkling laugh in return. Namjoon stared down at this ‘Natalie’ with love and adoration. Jungkook was confused.
“I was able to convince my family to postpone leaving until tomorrow so I could congratulate–,” Natalie pats his chest and looks up into Namjoon’s eyes with just as much love, if not more, before continuing. “this guy on his big scholarship!”
Namjoon’s face flushes from the admission. Your mouth drops open in bewilderment. You punch Namjoon hard in the shoulder and he winces.
“Geez! Ow!”
“You jerk! How could you not tell me?!”
“I was going to, tonight!”
You side-hug Namjoon and Natalie and make promises to catch up. Jungkook pretends not to hear when Natalie whispers in your ear about a ‘double date’ and instead acts like the sight of people gyrating against each other is more appealing. It’s not. But something does transcribe whilst he’s staring at the couples that actually know how to dance properly.
Nostalgia washes over Jungkook, like the gentle sway of a tide pulling his conscience to another time, another place. He felt the phantom stirrings of movement where his heart would’ve still been beating back then, the desire to grin and to dance, but could only place the grainiest of images to memory. He couldn’t quite remember what it was that brought him a feeling of such warmth and fondness, but he felt enchanted to stay within that feeling.
Natalie and Namjoon have long since departed, but Jungkook was still stuck in a time long passed. You cautiously place a hand on his cheek, caressing it while gently rubbing your thumb against his sharp jawbone.
“Jungkook? You still with me?”
The glaze in his eyes disperses upon your call of his name, and his eyes instantly lock with your concerned ones. He gives you a faint smile, sucking in a breath to release it and then answers you.
“I’m still here.”
This isn’t the first time this has happened. Jungkook getting lost in the past. He was never afraid to answer any questions you had for him back when he was human, or even when he was turned by a rogue vampire and left to learn the consequences and rewards of being a vampire and immortal all on his own. His life was hard, but it was still life. Something he didn’t treasure until he was no longer alive, and rather just living — existing.
He realizes that he never had a reason to feel alive, until now.
Until you.
He had tried to do what he could to keep you at arm’s length. Your smile was so disarming, you were so genuine, that he couldn’t help but get close to you. Even when knowing it was a bad idea. He didn’t want to fall in love with you. He kept ignoring the intruding bloom in his chest, telling himself that it would wither on its own.
It never did. It just grew.
It grew a forest of flowers within him, the colors so vibrant and the aroma so intoxicating that it was hard not to fall in love with you when it was you who consumed his entire being, his entire soul, or what was left of it.
And you didn’t even know.
‿෴🦇෴‿
You had been at the party for hours now. Talking, mingling, even dancing a little. Much to your amusement and Jungkook’s displeasure.
His hands rested politely on your waist, never once faltering into the danger zone. Your arms were wrapped loosely around his shoulders, hands dangling. A slow song was on, one you never listened to fully due to how slow it was, seeing as you usually only heard it when you were driving your car and as soon as it would come on you would change the station to a more upbeat option to keep you awake. But, you’ll admit, it was growing on you.
Much like the vampire in front of you has over the years of knowing him. His mannerisms, his personality, his way of talking, his way of dressing. You kept every minute detail locked away inside your head, and your unspoken feelings locked inside your heart. Though, as you both stared into each other’s eyes in a way that should’ve been saved for lover’s, you wonder briefly, albeit hopeless romantically – if he might, just might, feel the same way.
Your body is buzzing with all the alcohol you’ve consumed throughout the night, and as you sway to the song, do you realize how much it’s him who is actually holding you up discreetly and leading you. It’s only when he suddenly stops, does your wobbly figure collapse into his taught chest. Your ear lays against where his heart would be, yet you hear nothing. Another stark reminder of the difference between you two, as your heart raced at how close you two were.
He doesn’t say anything, standing still. When you look up from his chest, his gaze is no longer on you, but something in the distance behind you. Following his line of sight, your puzzled expression turns into one of forlorn.
It was another girl, dressed ironically as a female version of Dracula. You nearly scoffed at the coincidence, though you know it can’t be the costume that’s caught his attention, rather – it’s her blood.
“It’s that time of the night, hm?”
Your question lingers, his focus still caught. You can see the red tint begin to take hold, his grip on your waist tightening into a bruising one. Your heart jumps at the sudden sensation, and it’s only then that Jungkook regains his bearings and gives you a look of regret, his hands parting from your waist instantly as if being burned.
“I’m so sorry, y/n. I just need–,” his nostrils flare of their own accord, hands clenching and unclenching at his sides. He closes his eyes and when they reopen you know for sure the night is over.
They’re blood red. He needs to feed, or risk losing control and slaughtering literally everyone here, including you. And he won’t have that, he refuses to let that happen. He’d sooner throw himself into the sunlight’s blazing rays and turn into nothing but dust than be the reason you die.
For a split second, you almost gain enough courage to tell him to just use you, but you know he’ll say no. He’s never directly stated that you couldn’t be an option, moreso does he just announce when it’s time he needs to leave you to feed. He swears he never kills those he chooses to feed on, having enough control over his emotions and hunger enough to only drink what’s needed and then heal the bite wound with a solid lick of his tongue. After he’s done feeding, he makes sure to leave their body in a safe place until they come to, waking up from what they believe to be just a blacked out moment and they’re on their way back home.
He steps in the direction of the ‘lady of the night’, and your face twists into one of sadness as you say your parting words, doing your best not to slip up as you speak and let the lump in your throat win over.
“Be careful, okay? I guess I’ll—,”you awkwardly looked away and locked eyes with another classmate of yours — Jimin — giving him a tight smile and small wave, before turning back towards Jungkook to finish your statement and are meant with nothing but an empty space.
He was gone.
Surveying the area, do you catch a glimpse of his back, his hand that was once on the small of your back only a couple hours ago, are now on the mystery girl’s as he leads her around the corner and out the side gate, into the night.
“Y/N, hey! Are you by yourself? Want to hang out with me and Yoongi?”
Jimin’s smiling face appears in front of yours. If he notices the way your eyes are rimmed red with unshed tears, he doesn’t comment on it. Just throws a friendly arm around your shoulders to guide you towards his friends. His excited rambling tickles the shell of your ear as he tries to talk over the blaring music, it having changed to a catchy k-pop song that you love cause it reminded you of Jungkook.
The very person you currently wanted to forget, if only for the rest of the night. As you walk up, Yoongi gives you a silent nod in greeting and you reciprocate the action with a small smile.
They don’t leave your side for the rest of the party, and, dare you say, you actually had a good time. The next morning, you realize, maybe too much of a good time.
Coffee Shop Confessions (Gator Tillman X F!Reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reader overhears Glenda (Gator’s girlfriend) bragging about how intimate her and Gator were a few nights ago. You want to remind Gator who he belongs to.
18+ only!!!! Smut below. Smut includes oral (m receiving), mentions of piv, infidelity (huggge thing), facial (f receiving), exhibitionism??, cumplay. If any of these things are not to your tastes, pls do not read the fic!
This is at some point after the two sinners fic. This dynamic is so fun to write because Gator is an awful person (but so are reader and Glenda).
You’re out on a casual coffee date with Jax when you see her walk in. It’s Glenda and as always (as much as it pains you to admit it) she looks great. Her hair is in her signature low ponytail with a white shawl draped around her shoulders. Underneath the shawl it looks like she’s wearing a long green dress but you fear pointing your eyes in her direction for too long. Glenda comes in with the rest of her book club, they usually meet at the Church hall every Wednesday afternoon but renovations are currently in the works so the group meeting has been diverted to your usual coffee shop.
You saw Gator three nights ago, his afternoon shift was quiet so he spent a few hours fucking you in different places around your home. You know that he hasn’t slept with Glenda yet, he has to marry her first and from what he tells you, his daddy is really on his back about doing it soon. Roy tells him that a woman like Glenda won’t hang around forever and if he isn’t ‘man enough’ to marry her; a better man will. The only reason that Gator would ever marry her is to keep his daddy happy. He’d spend a life betrothed just to appease a man who views him as nothing but a disappointment.
You’re sat on a couch near the back of the shop so Glenda and her group don’t see you as they peruse the menu. Jax is completely unaware that the group have entered and only knows Glenda from around town. He’s chatting to you about this new deal he’s getting close to finishing at his work. You’ve been feigning interest until the ladies walked in but now you’re not even paying attention to him. They choose a big table and unbeknownst to them, sit within earshot of you. They’re all clutching their dogeared copies of Jane Eyre as a barista delivers cups of tea to the table. You try to tune the conversation about the book out until you hear something peaks your interest.
“Okay, I have to ask I can’t wait anymore” Glenda’s friend Holly squeals, all of Glenda’s friend look exactly like her but with interchangeable eyes and hair colour. “Glenda, have you and Gator done anything else since the other night?”. You watch Glenda’s cheeks tinge pink as all of the group turns to look at her, placing their books down and holding their mugs close to them, seemingly waiting for the gossip.
“Oh my, Glenda! Have you and Gator…y’know” Sophie all but whispers. You smirk, none of these ladies would ever say sex out loud in a public place, maybe in the comfort of their homes but never ever out where they could be heard. You imagine if they would ever call it fucking rather than sex. It seems like Gator exclusively refers to it as that and you can’t imagine him using a softer term like ‘making love’. The thought of him saying that to you sends a shiver down your spine.
Glenda places her mug down and a small smile crosses her face. You’ve known Glenda since school and you know how much she loves talking about herself. It’s probably a tie between herself and her relationship with God for her favourite topic of conversation. You watch as Glenda looks at all her friends to seemingly ensure that all attention is placed on her. “So, ladies- some of you may know that Gator and I were…shall we say…intimate the other night?”.
You feel your heart drop into your stomach. Why hadn’t he told you? You honestly never considered that they would do that before getting married.
Glenda continues, “Okay well not ‘intimate’ in that kind of way”. The table erupts with polite giggles as you feel a wave of relief wash over you. Of course they wouldn’t be doing anything like that yet. They’ve been an official couple for 8 months and Gator has been fucking you for just shy of a year. You wonder if it’s difficult for him to pretend he’s never done anything before. This whole topic makes you feel uneasy; discussing Glenda is completely off the table for you and Gator. You don’t talk about their relationship or their future unless you’re in an argument and you want to hurt him. Or, if he wants to make you feel insignificant. Both of these things happen more than you care to admit. Gator didn’t lose his virginity to you, that was long gone by the time you two started…whatever this is. Jax interrupts your train of thought, he can probably tell that you haven’t heard a word he’s been saying for the past few minutes. “I’ve just got to take a call and then I’ll grab us a coffee to go- okay?” You nod and rub your hand against his forearm. He smiles at the gesture but really, that is your way of asking him to hurry up so you can eavesdrop more.
“So he came home from work and ladies, I think we can all agree that he looks very dashing in his little uniform” The groups nods and giggles. “I’d had a small glass of white wine whilst finishing up my new library book and I don’t know what came over me.” The rest of the group look enthralled with the tale and you realise this is probably the most exciting thing that has happened to them in the past month.
“So, he comes and sits next to me and he’s on his phone and I tell him how handsome he looks and I put my hand on his knee…well not on his knee, maybe above it? And I suppose, I just took control! I kissed him and we made out a little. No tongue or anything but it felt really special. I tried to sit up closer to him but he told me that it wasn’t the right time. I love that about him y’know, his commitment to the Lord is really there.” By the end of her tale, she looks flushed as if reciting the interaction has got her worked up. “So I guess, that means we’re going to wait until we’re wed. I know you all understand how much that means to me.” She holds her hands out into the centre of the table and her friends grab and squeeze as a sign of support.
Your phone buzzes and pulls your attention away from the group. Jax is calling and as you look up you see him smiling and holding two coffees to go. You grab your bag and as you turn to leave you accidentally bump your hip into Glenda’s chair.
“Oh…I didn’t see you there. I hope our book club didn’t disrupt your date with this new gentleman friend of yours.” She looks at Jax and waves at him, her eyes don’t leave his as she turns away from you and says, “You just seem to have so many gentleman friends…I guess it’s hard to keep track”. The sound of the group giggling under their breath takes you right back to high school. Right back to hearing Glenda make comments about you and your friends to a roaring laughter from her minions. All of whom would never even look your way without Glenda’s presence. You consider how cowardice always outweighs confidence.
“Y’all have a nice day discussing that book”. You pat Glenda’s shoulder and hold your head high as you leave the coffee shop with Jax. You know the only thing they’ll be discussing for the rest of the afternoon is you and your ‘scandalous’ life.
[sent at 19:03] You: need to see u tonight, come round when u finish
[received at 19:07] Gator🐍💩:??? k omw to u now.
He knocks on your door just after quarter past. You’ve changed from your coffee date outfit into your favourite piece of lingerie. You’ve had it for a while and it drives Gator wild every time he sees it. It’s white lace bra and panties with a garter belt and white sheer suspenders. To answer the door, you’ve draped Gator’s plaid shirt over your body- he loves shit like that, it makes him feel more possessive over you. The shirt is completely open and you pray that no one else is on the street. A quick glance through your keyhole just shows Gator looking slightly more fidgety than usual.
You open the door and greet him with “hey Sheriff”. He rushes inside pushing you back, trying to hide your body. He sits down on the couch and covers his eyes with his hands, “are you fuckin’ insane? Why the fuck are you answerin’ the goddamn door like that?”
He keeps his hands covering his eyes as you position yourself on your knees between his legs. You huff out, “I wanted to surprise you…I bet you’ve had such a hard day at work.” You run your hands over his thighs and smile at him when he puts his hands behind his head to look at you. You dropped the shirt when he pushed you back from the front door so now you’re just kneeling in front of him wearing your delicate white lingerie. Your hand stays on the bulge in his pants, your thumb rubbing over it gently as you rest your head on his knee.
“What the fuck are you doin’ baby,” he lifts his hips to push his bulge into your touch and bites his lip at the contact. His thumb runs against your cheekbone as his eyes bore into yours. It’s a tender moment, a rare one for the pair of you and all you can think about is how much of a fucking bitch his girlfriend is. You want to send her boyfriend back to her completely wrecked.
You unbutton his pants and Gator takes the hint and shimmies them down until they’re pushed down below his knees. You inch closer to him and stick your tongue out as your eyes meet his. He smirks as he taps the head of his hard cock against your tongue. The sound of wet slaps fills the room as he asks you, “y’gonna help me unwind?”. You nod as you take his cock into your mouth.
You hear him mutter “fuck” under his breath as you swirl your tongue around the head of his cock. His left hand rests on your head as the other stays behind his back. He doesn’t apply any pressure to your head as you take him deeper into your throat. You feel tears filling your eyes as you pull of him with a gag. Spit connects your mouth to his cock as you keep stroking him as you catch your breath. His eyes are hooded and he smirks at you as he teases, “oh honey, I thought you wanted to help me relax…y’were doin’ such a good job too”. He grabs your chin with his forefinger and thumb and presses a kiss to your forehead. He pulls off you and you move your mouth down to his cock again.
“Make me fuckin’ cum down your throat, pretty girl”. Gator loves to hear you gag on his cock, he is pretty big and hearing you struggle reminds him of that. You get into a steady rhythm of sucking his cock and twisting your hand for whatever your mouth can’t reach. As he gets closer to finishing, he pushes his hips up so his cock is hitting the back of your throat.
He whimpers above you, “fuck baby, I’m going to fucking cum…quick- where sho-“ before he can finish his sentence you’re giving him your best doe eyes and begging him to cum on your face. He moans at the instruction and finishes before has chance to consider what you’ve said. Ropes of his cum cover your face as you wipe it from your eyes to look at him.
You pick your phone up from the ground and throw it at his chest, “do I look pretty enough for a picture, Gator?”. He still looks dazed from his orgasm as he holds your phone in his hand and snaps a quick picture.
“Why the fuck do you want that?” He asks after he gets his breath back. He dresses himself quickly as you tell him it’s probably time for him to leave.
Glenda always posts what she makes Gator for his dinner on her Facebook. The caption usually containing what the meal is and how thankful she is to have such a ‘grateful man’ to cook and care for. Gator’s long gone by the time Glenda posts her chicken casserole picture. You send him a message as soon as she posts the meal.
[sent at 20:34] You: hope you’re still feeling relaxed baby ❤️
You attach the picture of you from an hour ago. Between Gator’s hairy thighs, smiling with your eyes closed and ropes of Gator’s cum covering your face.  Gator has no manners so will undoubtedly open the text sitting at the dinner table with Glenda. You smile as you go to put your phone on charge. You leave it on silent and turn it so the screen is facing down.
You’d hate to interrupt the happy couple’s evening.
Just a quick milf Wanda thought because I’m homosexual and I need to write this. Pls ignore that I had this queued for Wednesday and put it back in my drafts because of that creepy anon I got, here be the thing 💖
cw for implied smut and lingerie shopping, but there’s nothing truly explicit in this, just Wanda being flirty
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wanda asking you to run a few errands for her because she’s unexpectedly busy with the boys since Vis decided to come pick them up around dinner instead of lunch. And yeah, maybe you had a few things to do with your Saturday already, but she sounded so overwhelmed on the phone.
You could just picture Wanda slumped against the kitchen wall watching Billy and Tommy run circles around her, her sentences rushed as she tried her hardest to be quick with giving you the list of places she needed you to stop by, “Oh, for the last stop, be a peach and pick something out for me. I trust your judgment.”
She said it so innocently, you hadn’t thought of anything of it, noting her errands and setting off to start your drive around town. Each time you mentioned to a shop’s person you were you were picking something up for Ms. Maximoff, their face lit up, perfectly agreeable to help you grab whatever she asked for and praising your helpful nature.
The last place was in the next town over, a small store you’d never paid much attention to. The second you stepped through the door, you realized why.
It wasn't that the lingerie store was tacky or crude, but you certainly felt underdressed in your denim cutoffs amongst the lavish mannequins. You could barely make eye contact with the shop owner while trying to ask for Wanda's order, the older women clearly amused with your struggle.
Upon revealing there was nothing set aside for her, a reminder of Wanda's words mortified you: pick something out for me. For her. Lingerie... for Wanda. On your judgement. To your albeit limited knowledge, the only person she’d worn anything like this for lately was you.
Steam had to be blowing from your ears. If not for the fear of disappointing her, you would've run away.
Suddenly each outfit was visible on Wanda and not only was it impossible to pick, the process of being shown all the details and advantages of every choice by the shop owner left your face hotter than the sun.
As soon as you pick one, you put the purchase on Wanda's tab and sprint with the box to your car. The drive home only makes your anxiety rise, wondering if and how to present it to her, hoping your taste in lingerie isn't offensive; there were way too many racing thoughts.
Finally you settle on just putting the box on her bed and busying yourself with putting as many things from your errands away as you could. But by the time Wanda comes back that evening, you're wondering why you lingered in her empty house for so long. She hadn't asked you to do anything more than complete some tasks for her, certainly not to lurk without purpose.
Wanda doesn't care, thinks it's sweet you'd wait for her return instead of running off to some party on Saturday night. "Here to keep me company, sweet pea?"
You figure saying no sounded rude and it gave you an excuse for being in her home still so you went along with it, rattling off the completed list of tasks and explaining what you'd put where just in case you were wrong about anything. If Wanda noticed how you left out the last shop, she didn't say anything, granting you a bright smile and pulling you in for a kiss that made your heart melt.
"I'll go change into my house clothes, then we can curl up and watch a movie. Give me ten minutes!" As soon as you heard Wanda shut her bedroom door, you remembered the box you left at the end of her bed and you waited with baited breath for a scream, a gasp, any indication that she'd opened the package at all... but none came.
For some amount of painfully long minutes, you heard nothing, leaving you stone still on the sofa, feverishly wiping your clammy hands over your legs. And then, finally, her voice called out from upstairs, "Come up here, please. I need your help!"
She didn't sound mad, just... normal. You didn't know what to expect as you climbed the carpeted stairs, but then as you turned the corner you saw Wanda standing in her bedroom doorway, grinning as she toyed with the sleeve of her new dark blue gown. "So this is the kind of thing you want to see me in?"
The actual dress was a little shorter than she typically wore, ending at her upper thigh, and much lower cut, accenting the slight push the bodice's corseted fit gave her chest. "It was a hard decision. You'd look beautiful in the whole store."
"Well aren't you a charmer," Wanda beckoned you closer from where you fidgeted in place, drawing you in until you were mere inches away. "Let me pay you back for all your hard work today, sweetheart. I'll even show you how to take me out of this once I get tired of wearing it."
whenever you got the notification that "sunyangie" was starting his live, most times, you would drop what you were doing, crawl into your bed & grab your favorite bullet vibrator. you would cast your phone screen to your tv like you were some type of perverse, corrupt gooner. however, when it came to your favorite camboy, you were.
it just seemed like your mind slipped into mush when you watched him. you would wrecklessly spend your money to make his cock ring vibrate against the base of his shaft. you would watch the way his precum leaked out of his pretty pink tip. his expressions, his eyes rolled back and puffy lips spread, gasps and wanton moans coming from his mouth.
you had basically memorized his streaming schedule, and you always found time to watch one of his streams. you found yourself in your bed, his stream up on your tv and with your vibrator pressed up against your clit at least twice a week. every monday, wednesday, friday and sunday, you found yourself completing tasks sooner than you would on any other day, just because you knew that in the back of your head, sunyangie was streaming today.
you were layed back on your bed with pillows stacked up just enough for you to see the tv, the volume low to not alert any neighbors of what you were doing, and soft music playing as you waited for him to start the stream. your vibrator and new pink dildo that you had gotten earlier today were layed out next to you.
you looked up at his stream and as soon as you did his face popped up on screen. he was absolutely glowing in the luminescence of his sunset lamp and fairy lights. the dainty silver chain hanging around his neck was glimmering in the dim lights and, the camera angle was low enough for you to see his face, down to just above his thighs. his pink hair framing his fave perfectly, hands resting on either side of his thighs as he was checking to see if people had joined.
he gave a bright smile and waved. he greeted the chat; voice soft, low and sultry, "hello guys, how have you all been? i've been okay! sorry i missed monday's stream, something came up."
he seems calm, but as you inspect him further, the erection in his pants is anything but calm. as he's reading the chat and getting ready to start, you watch him palm himself. you rub yourself through your panties at the same speed, wanting to keep in time with theo.
as he's reading through the chat, you feel as if he's looking at you, you feel so incredibly turned on and flustered at the way he's skimming through the messages that flood in. his eyes are slightly red and low from what you can tell, as if he just smoked a joint (and he probably did for all you know.)
"are you ready to start?" theo asks, pulling his hard cock out of his grey sweatpants, squirting a bit of lube into his hand. as he spreads it along his tip he hisses, "fuck.. it's cold." with his eyes screwed shut and his hand slowly working up and down on his veiny shaft, you slip your hand into your panties and decide on rubbing small, leisurely circles around your clit.
you hear a soft giggle come through your soundbar and you open your eyes to see his eyes open, with his plump bottom lip between his teeth. he grabs the pink and white cock ring from his desk and holds it in view for the camera to capture. "let's have some fun." he purrs out.
you whimper at the sound of his smooth voice, grabbing your vibrator and pulling your underwear off.
you watch as theo pushes the ring down towards his balls and grabs his new hitachi vibrator. "hmm.. i got this new toy today, shall we try it out?" he has a smirk on his face while glancing at his chat going crazy, being spammed with positive answers.
you decide to donate 10 dollars, sending a message, along with making the pink ring around his base vibrate. you see his hips jump out as he lets out a whimper, he reads out the message as his voice slightly shakes. "please use it? okay.. does it turn you on to see me like this, (username)? i've seen you in here a lot.." he chuckles and tilts his head.
you gasp and your eyes shoot open at him reading out your username, you've been in his chat before but you didn't think he would remember you. you decide to type in the chat, using a few of his channel points to highlight your message, "i love watching you, you're absolutely gorgeous yangie." typing out a quick message, short enough for your horny brain to process.
he smiles at your comment and thanks you, typing something into his phone quickly & then turning his vibrator on at the lowest setting. he presses it to the underside of his tip and sucking in a sharp breath at the new feeling. "shit.. oh- that feels amazing.."
you see his stomach contracting with each gasp and moan he lets out, his forehead starts to glisten in the dim light of his bedroom. as he runs the toy up and down his cock, he starts to get a little more used to the odd feeling.
he turns it up onto the second setting, throwing his head back and whimpering as the vibrations get stronger. he's rolling his hips as his shaky hand holds the large white toy in place.
"damnit- guys.. i don't think i'm gonna last too long.. hah-" theo is already panting, whimpering and moaning. he's a mess already and it hasn't even been ten minutes into the stream.
he pulls it away and decides to take the cock ring off "need to cum- 'm so needy today.." he pouts as he places it on his desk and continues with his ministrations on his dick, his free hand coming up to rub against his chest and play with his nipples.
you're working the dildo into your sopping cunt, moaning out with him. if someone were to hear you, it'd sound like something straight out of a porn video.
you push the dildo into your pussy at the same pace as his hips on the screen. fast, yet not rough. you hold onto your chest with your other hand, also playing with your hard nipples.
"fuck- fuck!" he moans out, stuttering as he turns up the setting on his toy once more. you can tell he's about to finish, his eyebrows are knotted together, eyes tightly shut, he has blush dusting his cheeks. "please.. so close.. gonna cum, gonna-" he cuts himself off with a moan as cum shoots from his tip. it paints his stomach, and the head of the vibrator; even going up to his chest.
his back arches out of his chair and his legs shake as he rides through his heavy orgasm, slightly overstimulating himself.
you cum at the same time as him, tears prickling at your eyes and your thighs clamp down on your wrist. the hand on your chest moves up to your hair and runs through it, as you moan and heavily breathe, your fingers now moving to work at your clit as you squirt and convulse around the dildo. your orgasm leaking down your ass and onto the bed.
as you start to come back down from your peak, you glance back at your screen and see theo shutting the toy off and putting it down to scoop the white substance off of his stomach. he shows the camera the cum on his fingers before he licks it off, making a spectacle of hit fat lips wrapped around his fingers. he opens them to show you his tongue circling the digits in his mouth.
"mmm.. sweet.." he says after he pulls them out of his mouth, licking his lips.
after a minute or two of basking in the afterglow, and speaking to viewers, he wraps up the stream, smiling and wishing the chat farewell, apologizing for the shorter stream.
as you exit the site and put on a random youtube video, getting ready to clean up, your phone dings with a notification from your instagram.
you decide to check what it is and you see a message request & follow from.. theo-?
The hair stuck to your face wildly as you rutted your slick cunt against the balled-up sheets. It was late. Half past twelve, as the clock read. You’d been aching all day, some unsettling urge dampening your panties as you attempted to go about your daily duties. Something within you snapped, sending you into somewhat of a heat. You were insatiable, your thoughts being clouded most of the day with lustful scenarios of your roommate. Someone you knew would be coming home soon- as you frantically tried to relieve the ache in your cunt.
“Goddamn it!” You huffed, falling back down onto the plush mattress. It was not the first time you experienced such frustration, seeing as it all traced back to her. It seemed silly, but she managed to push all the right buttons by just existing. Her sheer presence was enough to send a gush of arousal straight to your cunt. She was so tall, so strong, and so fucking dominant. Her physique and attitude demanded respect, and that had begun to mess with your head. You shouldn’t be thinking of her like this, it was wrong. You shared a living space with her for Christ's sake, not to mention the fact she was due back at any second and you were sitting pantless on a pile of wet sheets with the most sexually unappealing pout on your lips.
Abby Anderson was a plague, once you got it the diagnosis was terminal. Only a little left to live before you died of the frustration she bubbled inside of you. You were sure it would eat you alive, the negging feeling returning as you quickly moved to your dresser to grab some underwear. The last thing you needed to add to your list of misery was being caught half-naked by the woman. It was hard enough seeing her every day, catching glimpses of her muscles as she changed in her huddled corner- back straining against any fabric she tried to cover with. Your eyes found her everywhere- she was like a flame. You the moth. Somewhere along the way, you were surely going to get burned.
The lock clicking made your heart skip a beat, dashing back over to your bed as you tried to collect the soaked sheets before they could be seen- stuffing them under your bed haphazardly as she burst through the door.
“Oh, hey. You’re awake.” She hummed, closing the door quietly as she threw her key ring down on the counter. Her hair was doused in a light coat of rain, making you glance towards the windows- seeing that it had begun to storm outside, how that didn't catch your attention before escaped you. “My stupid key keeps getting stuck.”
You nodded, sitting down on your barren bed- pulling a pillow over your lap to cover your indecency as she moved further into the room, heading for her bed. “You could, uh, take mine if you need. I don’t really use it anyways.” You replied, trying to make yourself seem as small as possible as she halted slightly in front of your bed.
Abby’s eyebrows knitted together as she glanced at your bed, seeing a thick tuft of sheet peeking out from underneath the edge of your bed. Laundry day wasn’t until Wednesday, right? It was only Monday. “Yeah, thanks. That would be really cool.” She began, before nodding down at the crumbled ball. “What happened to your sheets?”
You kicked yourself mentally, face instantly flushing as you shook your head in the most nonchalant way you could. “Oh, nothing. Just spilled something on them, no worries.” You lied, using a foot to gingerly kick them fully under your bed. Something about the way she narrowed her eyes at your statement had your stomach knotting, seeing the hesitation before she eventually made her way over to her bed.
“Are you gonna tell me what's going on with you?” She asked, letting her backpack fall to the floor before sitting down on the edge of her bed to untie her boots. She spared you a glance, peering up at you through her heavy blonde lashes as she waited for your answer.
Fuck you, Abby Anderson, and your irresistible fucking attitude.
“It’s nothing. Nothing is wrong.” You coughed, clearing your throat to sound more even, legs squeezing together as you shivered under her gaze. So dominant, even when she probably shouldn't be. Like now, when her roommate wanted nothing more than to jump her bones. “Why do you think something is wrong?”
Abby rolled her eyes, standing up and pushing her boots to the side of the floor as she unbuckled her belt and pulled it off in one single swoop- letting it fall to the floor with a loud thunk. “I know more about you than you think.” She murmured, taking a couple steps forward- coming in reach of your bed as she did so. “Your eyes are dilated, sheets gone, no pants, and-,” She chuckled, now standing almost too close to you. “It smells like sex in here.”
Your mouth opened and then closed again, words escaping you as you looked up at the overwhelmingly intense aura that was Abby Anderson. “I, uh, I don’t know what you mean by that.” You said, shaking your head as you felt the heat rise in your face. You wanted to crawl into your sheetless bed and pretend this didn’t happen, praying she was just teasing you again, not wanting to risk ruining your friendship for something that probably meant nothing to her.
“Was someone else here?” She asked, her large hand coming to rest on the soft cursive of your neck- thumb tracing over the protruding of your muscle. She could feel your rapidly beating heart, chuckling to herself silently.
What? Why would that matter?
You shook your head, confusion and arousal clouding your thoughts as you kept your gaze locked onto hers. It was like some twisted competition, who was going to break first? “N-no, nobody was here.” You clarified, clearing your throat.
Abby let her hand explore the soft skin of your collarbone, fingers lightly caressing the dips in your skin as she found herself growing more and more impatient. The tension in the room was enough to kill, and she was tired of it. “Were you touching yourself?” Her voice was barely above a whisper, fingers dragging down to brush against the hem of your T-shirt.
“Yes.” The words came out before you could stop them, kicking yourself for being so easily manipulated by the woman. She was like a drug to you, clouding your mind and inhibitions with some feral lust. You wanted to be embarrassed, but as her fingers drew harsh lines into your skin- you felt the heat in your core pulse, sickly wishing she’d make a move.
A soft groan left her lips, finally allowing herself to indulge in the urges she’d had since being assigned roommates. She was much better at hiding her intentions, never letting you see just how badly she wanted you. It was as easy as breathing when she was out, but as soon as she came home and smelled your sickly sweet scent it was like she’d been collared- mind completely taken up by you. “What were you thinking about?” It was a push, a disguised beg, for you to tell her it was her you were thinking of. It was her that you wanted.
You leaned into her touch as her hand moved to cup your cheek, her thumb brushing over the flushed skin of your cheek. You hesitated, not wanting to be read this the wrong way- though the look in her eyes was more than telling, you more so didn’t want to make a fool out of yourself. “Well, nothing really, just sex?” You spoke aloud, the words coming out sounding more like a question than an answer, biting the inside of your cheek as you watched her tilt her head knowingly. “Fuck, okay. You.”
Abby chuckled, nodding her head as a rush of need washed over her. “Yeah? What about me, pretty?” She asked, thumb coming to skim across your bottom lip, soaking in the hitch in your breath as she did so. The things she'd do just jump your bones now, having you underneath her writhing around as she finally got to touch you the way she wanted to.
Your thoughts flickered back to earlier, the images of the woman before you clouded your memory. It was so silly, she would think so too, considering there was no real reason. It was just her. “Just you, Abby. I just couldn’t stop thinkin about you.” You mumbled, taking a small breath as you squeezed your legs together- trying to dull the ache in your cunt as you watched her closely. Even now, the looming sight of her was enough to send a pitiful rush of lust into your stomach.
“Fuck.” She hissed, not being able to hold her composure anymore, hand coming to the nape of your neck- pulling you into her as she dipped down to meet your lips. Her fingers were needy, twisting in your hair as she swallowed all of the little noises of surprise she drew from you. She was never good at waiting, even worse at stopping. She slid her free arm under your hips, lifting you off of your bed as she took your place- settling you on her lap roughly. “You have no fucking idea how long I’ve waited for this.”
You practically moaned at her words, chasing her lips as she pulled away to press wet open-mouthed kisses down the flesh of your throat, hands exploring her solid torso. You didn’t even know what to do, your entire mind blank as you melted into her feverish touch. “‘Want you so bad.” You panted, eyes blown as you ran your nails over her muscled arms, aching for her to do something- do anything.
Her hands detached from you for half a second before she found the soft curve of your hips, hands latching onto them as she settled you onto the thick muscle of her thigh- her legs parting to account for your knee. “You’re so pretty, god.” She huffed, pressing your cunt down onto her tensed thigh. “Just wanna see you fall apart.”
The sensation was like a shock to your system, making your mouth fall open as she drug your hips against her- the ridges of her muscles creating a delicious friction against your clit. “Abby!” You gasped, hands gripping onto her shoulders now, as you attempted to buck your hips- aching for more of what she was feeding you. You could feel the wetness from your cunt soaking through the thin underwear and onto her jeaned leg, almost making you embarrassed had you thought about it any longer, mind-clearing almost instantly as she moved a hand to grip your chin.
“Look at me, pretty.”
You forced your eyes to open, focusing on her flushed face as the pleasure made you dizzy- rutting mindlessly on her thick thigh with her help. It was unlike anything you’d felt before, bundle of nerves swollen as she pushed your hips down- the pressure drawing an obnoxiously loud whine from you. It was like your body wasn’t yours anymore, cunt gaining a mind of its own as you submitted to its will. “Oh god.” You whimpered, nails digging into her shoulders hard enough to leave marks.
The only pleasure like this you’d ever gotten had been from your pillows, making your mind fuzzy as you reminded yourself that this was real. The woman beneath you was real. You weren't dreaming again, her thick hands explored your body like she was there for something specific yet they never found their destination- sending chills down your spine as you felt your stomach tighten. “I won’t last, I'm close, Abs.” You whined, thighs attempting to squeeze together despite her blockage.
“Already, baby?” Abby chuckled, hand creeping down to rest on your throat- encouraged by a small noise from you, fingers finding your pulse points almost instantly- clamping down to cut off the blood. It was cute, she thought, how easy it was to please you. She could feel your thighs trembling around her, making her smile as she peered up at your lust-blown eyes. They were all pupil, big and doe-like as you silently begged her to cum through broken gasps for air. “Cum on my thigh, pretty, c'mon.” She urged, loosening her grip to let you breathe before tightening again.
That was all it took, the rush of pleasure sending a white-hot pulsing into your cunt, spilling cum into the soaked fabric of your underwear before it seeped out onto the wet jean that was now sticking to her thigh. Your body folded, limply laying against her as you let out whiny noises of contentment against her neck. Her hand came to rest on the nape of your neck, coaxing you out of your high gently as she leaned back onto the soft mattress- keeping you secured to her chest as she did so. “Good girl.” She hummed, ignoring the dull ache in her cunt, willing it to fade.
“What about you?”
“In time, pretty. In time.”
god is fair | j. t. kiszka
Tumblr media
title | god is fair
word count | 7.7k
warnings | swearing, mentions of alcohol - nothing too terrible... yet ;)
author's note | i've had this in the chamber for some time now, i just lost the inspo to write, which is why i haven't in a long time. this isn't a promise that i'll post more fics as they come to me, seeing as i'm a senior in college who has a fuck ton of other things to do. there will be a part 2 to this fic, but i couldn't tell you when it's coming :)
also, very much so listening to god is fair, sexy nasty by mac miller while writing this & starting the next part, so take that as you will ;)
unedited as hell so pls excuse any mistakes !
You always had this rivalry since the beginning of freshman year. This guy, Jake, would never show up to any of the classes the two of you had together, but always got the highest grades on every single goddamn exam that your Intro to Bio professor gave out. It infuriated you.
You figured that in the spring semester, you would be freed from the disappearing boy, but you weren’t. While the teacher called roll, everyone shouted out here. She landed upon his name, calling out to the class and looking through the rows of students. He had been there for orientation, sitting in one of the middle rows, slouched in his seat.
You planned to confront him the next day you had class together, on Wednesday, but Jake was nowhere to be found. Your roommate and your friends had heard your exhaustive theories as to why he was never in class. “Babe, you sound insane. Just let it go.”
But you couldn’t.
Competition lived deep within your roots, having an entire competition with the second top student in your graduating class in high school. Though the rage held between each other was never taken far outside of the academic realm, the two of you never thought to be friends and encourage one another. Thankfully, the two of you resolved the competition when the two of you realized you would be going into two very separate fields of study in college.
Camren, who knew she was going to be a chemist from the time she first learned about chemistry, had told you she loved the competition – made it fun and kept things interesting. And there you were, going to school for Pre-Med with the same feeling. The two of you kept in contact, updating each other on the strive for greatness in college as well.
You kept a close relationship with a lot of your teachers, making sure to get on their good side before classes had really begun. You emailed most of them, especially your Anatomy and Physiology professor, Dr. Sahnya Heinz.
She was incredibly skilled in her field, leaving the active medical field to teach the new and future minds of medicine. It was a cliche line she delivered on the first day, but it encouraged that familiar competitive fire that dwelled within you.
You don’t quite remember how you came to figure out that Jake was ahead of you, but you had found out somehow from your professor, although it was an accident.
It made everything in you burn with anger and frustration. Anytime someone mentioned him, or mentioned the fact that you were second, you clenched your jaw and your teeth gritted together. Your friends had an inside joke that you were only mad because you had a huge crush on him.
“I barely even know what he looks like, Mel! I fucking hate the guy. Don’t start shit.” You’d plead, beer can in your hand in the lounge of some fraternity floor.
Over the next few semesters, you kept trying your hardest, spending most of your free time in the library, reading everything that you could to prepare for every exam. You wrote papers early, having them done at least three weeks in advance. As soon as you would be told about a new one, you’d immediately start finding sources.
You sauntered around campus, thinking that you would be way ahead of him. He still never showed up to any classes, aside from orientation and exam periods. You’d stare at him for a few moments while the teacher passed out the exam, looking over his face as much as you could.
His long hair would obscure your vision on occasion, making it hard to catch any of his features at all. From what you could see though, he had nice, full lips. His nose was something you could have stared at the entire exam period.
You watched him as he licked his lips, whispering a thank you to Heinz before grabbing his pencil from his desk and getting to work. You looked away from him as soon as Heinz put your exam on your desk, offering her a small smile and a quick thank you before getting to work.
It was almost spring break, meaning some of your assignments had been slowing, some of them had been increasing. A group of your friends from different majors told you about one of the lounge parties a fraternity on campus was throwing. “Sigma Tau has the worst lounge parties, Tamia. You know this.”
“They’re joining forces with the Delta’s though, so it’ll be better than normal! You have to come, you’ve always got your nose in a book. You haven’t drank with us in so long, I forget what you’re like when you’re drunk.”
“I don’t know… I need to work on this Midterm paper I have in Kainz’s class, it’s due next week.”
“Babe, it’s been done for weeks! You just keep editing it trying to find mistakes and there are none! I’ve literally read it five times. Please, go out with us, just tonight?”
You looked between Tamia and Mel, knowing in the end you would give into them anyways. “Ugh, fine! Tonight, and tonight only, just this once. If I don’t like it, though, I’m leaving and going to bed early.”
“You’ll have so much fun, I swear!” Mel and Tamia looked between each other, sharing expressions of excitement and happiness on their faces. You rolled your eyes, standing up from your chair.
You let them raid your closet, trying to throw something together quickly. Most of the time, Tamia and Mel never obeyed the dress code for the lounge parties, hating the idea of giving into the male gaze of the fraternity brothers. Tonight, however, was a bit different. The theme was Western, meaning it was cowboy hats and very tiny shorts.
You looked over the outfit that laid out in front of you, straw cowboy hat that Tamia had bought from Amazon (one for each of you), a pair of short shorts that may or may not show your ass a bit, and a red bandana top that Mel let you borrow last semester that you forgot to return. “I don’t know about this. I don’t even have the right shoes.”
“You forget we wear the same size, bitch, you’re going. No backing out.” They joked, tossing you a pair of white boots. “Just put that shit on while we heat up the curling iron, okay?”
“Fine, fine, okay.” You peel off your shirt, throwing on the one they picked out. Next to go were your pajama pants, which were replaced by the shorts. You kept the same socks on, knowing that nobody would see them anyways with the boots going up to the middle of your calf muscle. “I look fucking ridiculous.”
“You look fucking hot, now sit down while we do your hair and makeup,” Mel spoke, pulling out your desk chair while Tamia smiled wickedly with the curling wand in hand. You were nervous, looking at the both of them, but the good kind that settled under your skin and was left hidden behind the smallest smile.
You talked about upcoming exams with them while they did your hair and makeup, much to their dismay. They attempted to fill you in on the various drama situations going on around campus while you had been heavily plugged into your textbooks. You gasped often, finding shock and awe in some of the things they had been telling you about classmates.
They spoke about Jake, letting it slip that he had been planning on attending the party, joined at the hip with one of the girls he had been rumored to have been dating. One of the many. “Ugh, he just sounds like a douche. Gives me even more reason to hate him.”
“We’re not feeding into your delusion that he’s some douchebag. Dropping it.” Tamia spoke, putting her hands up in a surrender. Mel laughed, pulling away from you with an eyeliner pen in hand. “Maybe we’ll get you drunk enough to admit you like him.”
“I don’t like him, and I thought we were dropping the topic.” You looked at Tamia in the mirror, watching her face deadpan as she looked back at you.
“I have something hot in my hands, don’t be rude to me.” The three of you laughed, getting back into the rhythm of getting ready. You let them do their thing to you, curling the last bit of your hair and putting the finishing touches of highlighter on your brow bone.
You looked at yourself in the mirror, marveling at the job they did. You thanked them for getting you all dolled up, watching them change into their outfits. It was mostly just them taking off the sweats they were wearing, throwing them over the back of your desk chair. You took a few pictures with them in your mirror before finally deciding to head out.
The party had started a half an hour ago, walking into the party late like most people did. The three of you got in easily with matching the dress code, immediately looking for the drinks table. The boys in charge handed the three of you a free shot of anything you wanted. Mel chose for you, starting the night out roughly with a shot of Svedka.
You grabbed a Sprite from one of the boys in one hand, the shot of Svedka in the other. The three of you tapped your glasses together before downing the shot. The alcohol burned as it slipped down your throat, trying to soothe it with the taste and coolness of the Sprite. You shook a bit, throwing the cup away in a nearby trash can.
“That was fucking gross, I hate you so much for choosing Svedka.”
“I could’ve chosen something even more nasty, like Jack.” Mel laughed, leading the three of you over to a section in the lounge where you could stand a decent enough distance away from one another, instead of being piled on top of one another.
“I would have rather taken a shot of Jack, Mel.” You spoke, sipping more of your Sprite. Tamia pointed out a few of the people they had talked about earlier, letting you put names to faces.
In the midst, two of the Sigma brothers decided to start a dance battle, capturing the attention of those around them. Everyone joined in, gathering around the two guys. Mel and Tamia joined too, but you had slipped out of their grasp by telling them you had to use the bathroom.
You were happy to escape the party, sneaking out with a bottle of Smirnoff the boys had left unattended. You walked outside, taking a deep breath in. You were thankful to be met with the smell of fresh air, not smelling sweat and booze everywhere. Your peace and tranquility was ruined by someone’s voice, “Well, don’t you look adorable.”
Your head snapped towards the voice, seeing Jake sitting up against the bike rack with a cigarette between his fingers. “Shut up.”
“What? I can’t compliment you?”
“No,” you started, crossing your arms with the bottle still in your hand. “No, you can’t.”
“Why’s that?”
“Because I hate you.” Jake looked at you, up and down, taking a drag of his cigarette. You screwed off the cap of the bottle, taking a pull. You tried your hardest to not make a face, looking away slightly when the familiar sting settled in your throat.
“Why do you hate me? I’ve never spoken to you before.”
“Do I have to have a reason?” You asked, walking closer to him.
“Suppose not. But if I knew why you hated me,” he tossed his cigarette butt on the ground, stomping on it with his boot. “Then maybe I could find a way to make you not hate me.”
“Unless you flunk your next exam, I guarantee that won’t happen.”
“Oh, I get it.” He chuckled, standing up from the bike rack he was leaning against. He grabbed his cigarette butt up from the ground, tossing it into the nearest garbage can. He turned towards you, staring at you with his brown eyes. “You’re just mad because I’m smarter than you.”
“You’re never in class. You shouldn’t be ahead of me.” You glared at him, lips moving into a frown.
“Just because I’m never there doesn’t mean I’m not getting the information. I work five, sometimes six days a week. We only have class three days a week. Typically, I gotta work those days. Heinz sends me the powerpoints and the assignment notes so I never miss anything.”
“Oh yeah? Where do you even work then?” You asked.
He chuckled, fingers brushing yours that were wrapped around the bottle. “Now if I told you that, it would ruin all the fun,” he looked you up and down once more, licking his lips slightly. “Well, maybe I’ll see you and your bottle inside.”
You waited til the doors closed behind him to roll your eyes, and huff outwardly. You took the bottle of Smirnoff, turned on your heels and walked towards your dorm hall. You hated Jake. You really hated Jake.
Your midterms came and went. The stress decreased slightly, but only to be raised again as the end of the semester loomed around. Assignments started piling up, various papers and presentations due all around the same week. Since the end of Spring Break, you had been holed up in your room, left to your mountains of homework.
Your Microbio class had a presentation due that coincided with the research project you had been working on all semester long. Human Anatomy and Physiology (or affectionately known as BIO 312) had a major cumulative exam on the entire semester, which stressed you out more than any other homework assignment or exam you had.
Thankfully, your school held an all day event that attempted to boost the morale of the students on campus. Filled with a bunch of free things, you took advantage of everything offered.
Lined up on tables were various student organizations set up, with their own little games and prizes. A few of them had speakers that played the music they wanted to listen to, all speakers attempting to outman the other. However, the one that ended up winning was a tie dye station located in the lawn, handing out free t-shirts to dye.
One of the guys at the tie dye station had a wide smile on his face while his hands were dripping with dye. Setting your prizes down at a table where Tamia and Mel had put their things, you walked over to him. He welcomed you over with a smile, “Hey! Lookin’ to tie dye?”
“Yeah, I’m a medium.” You smiled at him, blocking the sun with your hand. He called over to Benny, asking him to pull a medium out for you. Benny handed you the shirt with a smile. “I’ve never dyed anything before.”
“Never?! That’s a crime against mankind, darlin’, let’s get this shirt dyed.” He spoke, talking you over the colors in each of the buckets. He explained to you some basic color theory, although you had remembered that from your high school painting class, you didn’t stop him; he was pretty when he spoke.
The curls on his head stuck out from the shaved sides, the gold of his earrings stood out underneath the blistering April sun. He licked his lips often, using the back of his hand to wipe sweat from his forehead. He helped you pick out the style you wanted, making sure the rubber bands were placed exactly where you wanted them. “I’ll dip them in the bucket for you so you don’t get your hands dirty.”
“Thank you. I could’ve managed on my own, but I definitely appreciate it.”
“Of course. What’s your name?” You offer up to him, before he lets out a chuckle. You question him with a pull of your eyebrows. “Jake talks about you.”
“You know Jake?”
“Yeah, he’s my twin.” As soon as the word left his mouth, you could see the resemblance; you almost scolded yourself for not realizing it sooner. They were similar, especially in their features and their eyes, although the two of them had very distinct color differences. Josh, as he told you after dropping the bomb on you, had warmer eyes, filled with caramel colored hues of brown in relation to Jake’s colder tones; his eyes were a darker shade of brown, with the occasional gleam of flirtation laced within the reflection.
He spoke quite differently from Jake, mostly just with the sound of his voice. It matched their eyes, their personalities. Josh’s bright, bubbly stature followed in his voice, almost theatrical as he spoke. “I guess that makes sense, you two do kind of look alike. Minus the hair, of course.”
“Well, of course. Mine’s better,” you liked that about him - how kind his tone was. You attempted to grill him about what Jake was saying about you, curiosity flowing violently through your bloodstream as if it lit your body on fire. “He just says that you’re second in the Bio class you have with him, and that it makes you mad.”
“It does, Jake’s never there. I’ve seen him three times, and two of those times were for exams.” Josh wrung out the part that had been soaking in the dye for a bit, watching the water fall back into the bucket.
“Yeah, it’s cause he’s working all the time, if I’m honest. Jake stays home during the week to work at the nursing home in our hometown. We don’t really have a large CNA population, most of the people who work there are highschool kids, so Jake’s really been their guy. Especially since high school, as soon as he graduated he moved to full time. All the old ladies love him.” He snorts, dipping your shirt into the blue dye.
“I didn’t know that.” You thought he was lying about where he was, which is why guilt started to eat away at you. You felt terrible for making assumptions, but you couldn’t take any of that back now.
“Jake doesn’t talk to a lot of people, but we love him anyway.” You chewed at your bottom lip, rethinking your opinion of Jake. “You goin’ to the concert later tonight?”
“Hadn’t decided. Mel and Tamia want to, so I’ll probably end up going. Are you?”
“Yeah, I think I’ll probably go.”
“Do you know who’s playing?”
“Some local band I think? I’ve heard a lot of the girls think the frontman’s pretty handsome.” He spoke with a smirk. You promised him you’d go, just to see if the girls had been right. He handed you your t-shirt to hold while he grabbed you a plastic bag. He also handed you a piece of paper with instructions on how to take care of your new tie dye.
“Make sure when you wash it, you wash it by itself. Otherwise, you’ll dye all of your other clothes and believe me, you don’t want that,” he chuckled, as if he was speaking from experience.
You thanked him with a warm smile, waving to him before returning to your room. As soon as you got back, you opened your window, allowing the air flow to travel inside. It kept you cool, allowing you to walk around comfortably with a t-shirt and shorts on. You put your plastic bag in the closet of your room, writing on your white board to remember to take it out and wash it tomorrow.
You texted Mel and Tamia, knowing that Mel would probably have some smart comeback about why you want to go to the concert. It wasn’t that you didn’t join them on nights out, you just had a lot riding on your academic success. Not only because you were the first one in your family to go to college, but also because of your mass of scholarships that only continued to flow if your GPA was at a suitable level. Anything below a 3.2, and you would lose almost all of them.
The doors open at 8 right? I’ll be over about 5:30-6ish. Gotta finish up this paper for Heinz real quick
You locked your phone before they could scold you for doing homework on a day that was designated for relaxation and recuperation. You pulled out your Anat and Physio binder, pulling out the sources you printed off in the library. You ran through the last one with a blue highlighter between your teeth.
You set an alarm on your phone for five o’clock, saving enough time for you to shower.  You were about halfway through the last page when your timer went off. You silenced it, attempting to hurriedly finish highlighting the page. The article was placed onto your desk, highlighter returned to the cup on your desk filled with various writing utensils.
You pulled out your shower caddy, putting it on top of your dresser before pulling out your robe. You laid it over the edge of your bed, removing all of your clothes. You threw them into your hamper and put on your robe. You slipped on your slides, grabbed your caddy and traveled to the bathroom.
Underneath the uneven streams from the showerhead, you thought about Jake.
Maybe your first impressions of him were wrong. When Josh told you about the nursing home back in their hometown, you felt instantaneously bad for assuming that he just never showed up. You knew from what Jake had told you, that he had work, but you figured that was just an excuse.
You bit at the skin of your lips, hands on your shoulders as you soaked the warmth of the water in. You were pulled out of your thoughts very quickly as someone flushed the toilet, making the water fade in from super hot to super fucking cold. You hated the school’s water system.
You finished your shower quickly, drying off with the towel slightly before putting your robe on and throwing your hair up into your towel. You walked back into your room, locking it behind you. You set your caddy back where it originally was.
You threw on a pair of jean shorts that hadn’t seen the light of day since early October, pairing it with a long sleeve shirt that you had gotten back in high school for Christmas. It was plain, brown, but hugged your body well. The sweatshirt debate lasted a few seconds before you remembered how hot it was going to be outside. A record temperature for mid-April, almost 80 degrees outside.
When you checked your phone getting back from the shower, it was just barely five thirty. You texted the groupchat again, asking if it would be cool to come over a half an hour earlier than you had originally said. You knew it was a dumb question, you would always be welcome in their room. You chuckled at Mel’s response of, “Are you fucking dumb? Of course you can come over. Bring wine if you have any left! No carry-in’s allowed at the concert.”
You put your phone down for a second and slipped on a pair of shoes that were comfortable enough for you to stand in for a long time. They used to be white, but had gotten progressively dirty from the years of use. You shoved your phone in your back pocket and slid a few different bottles of wine into your backpack, separated by extra clothing so the bottles didn’t clink together.
You walked down the stairs, out the door and over to the other dorm building across the walkway. You scanned your keycard to get into the building, walking through the hallways waving to the RA on duty, McKenna. She had been in a few of your classes and was always incredibly nice.
Her room this year was actually a few down from where you were living. McKenna was a great RA, knowing exactly how to handle the rowdiness of the floor while still keeping the resident’s respect. She didn’t bother them unless she needed to, and they didn’t bother her unless needed. She kept it underwraps about the underage drinking that would inevitably happen, mostly by telling the floor they could do what they want, as long as they were quiet by quiet hours (which was around ten thirty on the weekdays, and one in the morning on the weekends).
You took the elevator to the second floor of East Sunderland, getting off as soon as the doors opened. The booths that had previously been up had begun to dissipate, bringing the plastic tables back into the buildings they belonged in. You took a last glance at the people cleaning before heading into Mel and Tamia’s dorm building.
You knocked on the door, coming as soon as you announced yourself to Mel and Tamia. The girls laughed as you walked in, looking at a picture of Mel from when they were a kid. The two of them showed it to you as you settled your bag onto Mel’s chair in the corner of their room. “Your buck teeth! Oh my God, you were adorable, Mel.”
“Oh shut up, I bet you didn’t look any better.” Mel spoke to Tamia, making the three of you laugh. “Anyways, what wine did you bring?”
“The Barefoot we didn’t finish the other weekend, and then I still had some Rose, so I brought those over too. I wasn’t sure what we were feeling.” Tamia pulled some glasses from her shelves, passing them out to the two of you. You filled their glasses with the Rose you brought.
The three of you talked specifics on the plans for tonight, hitting up another fraternity party as soon as the concert ended. There were two separate ones going on at the same time, so the two of you weighed your options over which one to go to. “The Sigs are throwing one, but I’d rather die. Delta’s throwing one, too, we’ll go to theirs instead. And maybe see if anyone’s at the Sig party that we like and stop there before heading back to the dorms.”
You walked down with them to the Athletic Department, hoping to have gotten there early enough to get a good spot. As soon as the doors opened, you were filtered through the doors, making sure that you were students with the college. The three of you half ran to the barricade, settling yourselves against it on the right side, although still somewhat in the middle.
The show wouldn’t start for quite some time yet, the three of you talked amongst yourselves about upcoming finals, what you had to do for various classes. You also found a few people around you to chat to while you waited, hearing laughter roaring through various parts of the crowd.
A few students from the Admissions Office had taken the stage, playing a random playlist of music that matched what the band was going to be playing. Rock thundered through the speakers, filling audience members with anticipation. Rochel addressed the student body, “Hello everyone!” welcomed by the sounds of cheers and screaming.
“We’ve got about fifteen minutes before the band comes on stage, so help us warm them up to the stage!” Everyone clapped, although some of the girls around you looked unenthused as they stared down at their phones. You checked yours for any text messages from any family members. You had nothing, so you put it back in your pocket.
Around four songs played before Rochel turned the microphone on again. Everyone shouted before she talked. “Well, it’s that time! Please, give a warm welcome to Greta Van Fleet!”
Rochel and the two other students walked off the stage, passing by what you had assumed to be one of the band members. He sat behind the drums, smiling and waving off into the crowd. You cheered for him along with Tamia and Mel, cheering just as loud when their bassist walked onto the stage. Both of their hair was longer, goofy smiles on their faces as they got situated with their instruments.
Your mouth hung open as you watched the last two boys walk on stage, seeing the twins. Jake’s eyes scanned the crowd as he slung his guitar over his shoulder. He found you after a moment, sending a smirk your way. You closed your mouth, glaring at him. Mel laughed at you, noticing your demeanor shift. “How we doin’ tonight everyone?”
Everyone cheered. “A lot of you might know me and Jake, seen us on campus and stuff. It’s wonderful to see all of you here, coming to support us as we celebrate the onslaught of spring! It’s been a particularly warm one today, so make sure to drink water! There’s plenty to go around.”
Jake started them off, pick between his fingers as he strummed the beginning chords to one of their songs. Some of the girls had begun to scream, shouting at Jake’s response to Josh’s little speech before he began playing. His signature smirk formed, watching the girls go crazy, eyes scanning the crowd before he found you again.
As Jake continued to play, he looked over to you any time he could. It was hard to tear your eyes away from him, enthralled by the way he looked on stage. You tried your hardest, truly, to look at any of the other boys on the stage aside from Jake but you just couldn’t. He fit the stage just right, bringing the attention away from Josh and demanding to be seen by the entirety of the crowd. He belonged up there.
Jake went to the center of the stage during his solo. Josh lingered around the drummer, keeping to himself, drinking whatever was in his cup. They kept on playing as Jake took the spotlight, everyone cheering and screaming for him. You kept silent, wanting to hear him play. His fingers worked against the frets of the guitar, not before sliding down and up it quickly.
You tried to hide the awe you were in, but your friends knew. They saw it written all over your face. The frustration and annoyance you felt when you first spotted Jake on stage dissipated the second his guitar solo began. You swallowed thickly, watching as his attention turned from his guitar to you, pointing it in your direction. Your cheeks flushed, and your thighs pressed together.
This was going to be a long night.
The second the concert was over, Josh thanked everyone for coming. His smile was wide as he waved goodbye to everyone, walking off next to Jake who had his guitar by the neck before he passed it off to one of the stage hands. Josh put his hands on his shoulders as they walked off stage.
You stuck around mostly waiting for the crowd to die down before trying to leave the building. Mel and Tamia talked about the show, saying that it was fucking dope, commenting on how excellent Jake’s playing was. You didn’t speak about Jake’s playing, mostly praising Josh for his spectacular performance. “I never expected that voice to come out of him, how heavenly.”
“Talking about me?” Jake cuts through your conversation, walking over to you with Josh not far behind. You roll your eyes. Tamia and Mel congratulate him on such an amazing performance, gushing about how sweet his guitar looks. “Why thank you, ladies.”
“Mel! I didn’t think you were going to be able to come.” He gushed, wiping his hands on the sides of his khaki shorts he had changed into.
“Yeah, well, Miss Quiet over here wanted to see her archnemesis, didn’t you?”
“I-I–” You turned your head slightly towards Jake, who had an amused smirk written all over his face. “I did not, Mellie, stop lying.”
“By the redness of your cheeks, sweetheart, I’d say she was telling the truth.” You had barely noticed that Mel, Tamia and Josh had slipped away from the two of you, leaving you alone.
“I didn’t even know you were playing.” You admitted shyly, hiding underneath a guise of innocence.
“Even if you did, you looked pretty hot and bothered by my playing.” You held the back of your arms, trying hard to maintain eye contact with him. You looked into his eyes, they were staring straight at you.
“Yeah, sure. I actually came because Josh said he was going. He neglected to mention that he was going to be singing,” you looked at Josh who wore a smile that read ‘guilty as charged’ before patting you on the shoulder.
“Hey, you didn’t ask. You just asked if I was going.” You rolled your eyes and chuckled slightly. “Anyways, Sam and Danny are gonna spend the night in my room, so I’ll have to find somewhere else to be tonight. Are you guys going to either of the frat parties tonight?”
“We’re going to the Delta party. The Sigs’ reputation is not the best, and I don’t feel like seeing whether or not it’s right.”
“That is completely understandable. I shall see you ladies there then. You coming, Jake? We still have a lot to put away.”
“Yeah, in a second,” he turned towards Josh who had begun to walk away, waving him off before turning back to the three of you. “I hope you guys enjoyed the show, maybe I’ll catch up with you at the party.”
“You’d like that, wouldn’t you?”
“Yeah, actually, I would.” He smiled at you before joining the other boys cleaning up their amps and cords.
“Jesus Christ, the two of you just need to fuck or something. I don’t think I can handle another interaction like that,” Mel joked, making a gagging face when she finishes her sentence. You pushed at her arm, turning around and walking out of the gym.
Tamia and Mel giggled profusely about your and Jake’s rivalry. The two even started making bets on when the two of you would finally ‘get it on’, as Tamia put it. You just rolled your eyes at the conversation, changing the subject to something different.
The party, though filled with lots of fun and drinking, was a bust. While Josh had shown up with his younger brother and his brother’s friend, as you learned, in tow, Jake was nowhere to be found. You thought to ask Josh why he wasn’t there, but he was too busy dancing with Micah. Through the grapevine, you learned that Micah and Josh had been together since high school.
You stayed around the party for almost two hours before you wanted to go back. A small part of you had wished Jake had actually come. You wondered if maybe the two of you would get along if you put your competitive nature aside. You tried not to dwell on thoughts of Jake’s absence for too long, wanting to enjoy the rest of the night with your girls. But when you had enough of the party, you shouted in Mel’s ear to let her know you wanted to leave.
Mel and Tamia had made sure you got back alright about two hours into the party. Your legs were tired and your feet had begun to hurt. The two of them stumbled with you back to the door of your building, making sure you were inside before leaving to go back. They almost came in with you, until you insisted otherwise.
Laying on your bed with your head pointed towards the ceiling you started thinking about Jake again. What was his reason for not being at the party? Did he just make those comments beforehand just to rile you up? It seemed like the only valid reason your impaired mind could come up with.
You grabbed your phone, almost dropping it on the floor. You sluggishly opened Instagram, and searched for Jake’s profile. You scrolled through, looking at the few photos he did have on his page. Most of the pictures he had were of his guitar, or places he’s traveled. You were sent into a panic when you realized you had accidentally liked an older picture of Jake’s, one from freshman year of college. Hurriedly, you unliked it and immediately locked your phone.
That had been a few days ago.
Now it was Wednesday and your first final exam was here. It was for the class you shared with Jake, BIO 312.  It wasn’t exactly final exam time, but Professor Heinz was going to be away at a conference for a week starting Friday. You didn’t mind, though, since it spaced out your other finals enough to have a decent amount of time to study for them.
You sat at your desk, looking over your notecards one last time before the exam began. A frequent look around the room and you noticed Jake walking in, going to a random seat a couple rows in front of you. He set his bag down next to him, before bending down to grab his laptop. He noticed you watching him and sent a wink your way.
You looked away as you tried to hide the rush of rosy skin that fanned over your cheeks and heated up your ears. You tried to ignore him again until at least when the test started, embarrassed that you got caught looking at him. Your phone pinged and you pulled it out of your bag to look at it, as well as turn it on silent.
jacobtkiszka wants to send you a message.
You swallowed and hit the notification taking you straight to the message.
“Person who turns their test in last pays for coffee?”
Your lips curved into a small smile, feeling your fingers type the first thing that comes to your head.
“Hope you brought your wallet with you, Kiszka.”
You put your phone on Do Not Disturb and shoved it back into your bag. The professor walked through the door, setting her things down on the desk in the front of the room. Her coffee mug still had steam coming from it, freshly poured. A quick look of her watch after getting settled and it was time to start the exam. “Okay, everyone. It’s time for class. Take out your laptops and begin your exam. You may leave when you have finished. Thank you for a great semester, and good luck.”
The questions on the exam were all ones that you knew and had studied for for weeks. It was strenuous, trying to remember everything on the cumulative exam. You had hoped it would go quickly and you would answer them faster than Jake could. Occasionally, you turned to look at Jake, seeing if maybe he was trying to look at you too.
With one question left of your exam, you click the answer and press submit after a minute of debate. You had a bad habit of second guessing yourself occasionally; it was actually the bane of your testing experiences. You hated when you felt confident about an answer, until you really sat with the other possible answers it could be.
You put your laptop back into your bag, zipped it up and noticed that Jake had already left. You cursed to yourself, knowing that now you had to buy Jake a coffee. You waved goodbye to your professor with a smile and walked out the doors. Jake sat outside of the classroom at one of the tables they had throughout the building. “Whatcha reading?”
“Josh recommended it to me, but I’m going to be honest, I fucking hate this book.” He laughed, shoving it into his bag. “You know any good coffee shops around here? I’m kind of tired of Starbucks.”
“I just so happen to know the best coffee shop in town, but it is a bit of a walk, if you don’t mind that?” You asked, walking through the door that Jake was holding before muttering a thank you to him.
“I could also drive, if you’re okay with that.”
“I’m more than okay with that,” you chuckle, letting him know that your dorm building had enough stairs; any chance you could get to use an elevator, or get driven somewhere, you would take that opportunity in a heartbeat.
The drive was short in comparison to the twenty minute walk it would have taken to get to the shop. Jake tried to offer the radio to you, but you let him play what he wanted to listen to. You didn’t know exactly who was playing, but the blues music that played through the speakers was a breath of fresh air.
Your typical shuffle had a plethora of music from differing genres, whether that be rap or old country. You hadn’t known much when it came to blues music, especially the difference between good blues music and bad. Eventually, you got the courage to ask who was playing and Jake answered, letting you know that the song was by Buddy Guy. “It’s called She Suits Me To A T. I tried for weeks to learn this song when I first started playing music more seriously.”
“This is the coffee shop, at the next corner.” You watched his hand as he made a right turn, noticing him steering with just the palm of his hand. Letting the leather steering wheel glide back to its original position in his hand, elbow propped on the door with the window rolled down.
It’s all you thought about on your way into the coffee shop, completely relying on autopilot. Your responses to Jake were almost textbook, one word sentences that could continue the conversation without much effort. “What’re you thinking of getting?”
“Oh, um, I’m not sure. I usually have them surprise me,” you admit, shoving your hands into your jacket. “Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s not. That’s the gamble you take.”
“I like that a lot, actually. I think I’ll have them surprise me too, if you don’t mind.”
“No, not at all.” You smiled at Jake before he went to order for the two of you. You found a place to sit in the meantime, offering a spot towards the windows so you could watch people come and go, each on their own paths of life.
By the time Jake sat down, both of the coffees were in his hand. After a few questions, Jake set the iced drink down in front of you, and the hot drink in front of himself. “Yours is an iced chai, with brown sugar syrup and vanilla. Mine is some sort of tea, I wasn’t really paying attention to what she was saying. I just wanted to remember what she put in yours in case you liked it.”
“Oh,” you spoke, bringing the cup towards you. “Thank you, that’s really sweet. Do you like your drink?”
“You know, it’s really not bad. I wouldn’t have gotten it otherwise, but it’s really not bad.”
“You hate it.”
“I hate it. It’s not good.” The two of you chuckled before you offered him a sip of your drink. “Mhmm,” he moaned. “That’s good, oh my God.”
The two of you continued small talk, whether it was over the classes you had previously taken, memories of parties from past years – anything. You shared previous high school experiences, mostly about the ridiculous things that were considered parties in your teenage years.
Conversation with Jake was surprisingly a lot easier than you thought it would be. Especially since you’ve hated him pretty much your entire college career. You figured he’d be stuck up, aware of his academic achievements and ready to flaunt them in front of anyone who’d listen.
He was the opposite. His sentences were wrapped with kindness, and the reflection in his voice seemed nothing but positive. His voice was like silk, he could’ve talked you into damn near anything as long as his voice sounded like that. It hurt when the conversation slowed, spending a few moments to take in the scene around you two, as well as finally being able to drink more of your drink (which was very delicious, it was almost like crack).
“How long have you been playing guitar?” You asked after the silence became almost uncomfortable to sit with.
“Oh jeez. I’ve been playing since I was… like three? Yeah, three.” You stared at him with eyes slightly wide, mouth agape. “What?”
“N-Nothing, that’s just a really long time. You’re what, 21 now?” He clarified that he was only twenty, his birthday roughly a week away. You poked fun at him, mentioning how you were older, even if it was by less than a year.
“Josh is throwing us a birthday party, if you want to come. Since it’ll be our 21st, we’re having it at our parents cabin on Lake Michigan. You’re welcome to bring Mel and Tamia if you’d like. Sam and Danny are going to be there, even though they’re underage, but we’re gonna pretend like they’re older.” Jake spoke with one last sip of his drink, letting the empty cup echo on the table as he set it down.
“I will let Mel and Mia know. I can’t make any sure decisions without talking to them first, but I’m pretty damn sure that they’ll say they would love to go.”
“Yeah, I don’t think they’ll say no either. They seem pretty adamant that you have a little crush on me or something,” he said, putting your cups inside of a bus tub to be picked up and washed.
“I don’t have a crush on you,” you laughed, walking out of the coffee shop with Jake. “I actually hate you, remember?”
“You may say that you hate me, but you’re not really good at showing it.”
We are so pleased with this match for wip wednesday pls
Kara cannot imagine how this idiot thinks Match's current state is in any way going to be their problem. The Agenda are the ones who are about to have to deal with what happens as soon as Match either notices Kon or gets here; whichever comes first. That's–
“Subject Match just gets a little aggressive with interlopers at these times,” the scientist says, still smirking, and Kara realizes just how stupid everyone working for the Agenda actually is.
“You think he's just territorial?” she asks incredulously, and tries not to laugh. “Like, on a recurring schedule? That's your take-away here?”
Rao, these people really don't know shit, do they. She feels bad for Match, frankly, because if they're this clueless about what's going on with him right now . . .
“Considering how evolved you people think you are, it’s not particularly subtle behavior,” the scientist says. Kara wonders exactly how badly he did in his high school biology classes, because it must've been bad. “More animal than any of us lesser lifeforms, in fact.”
“Uh-huh,” Kara says, because this idiot clearly has no idea why anyone on Krypton ever did a single thing on “schedule” or how Kryptonian society actually did develop and evolve their behaviors. “That’s fascinating. Really. Wow.”
Kon still doesn’t say anything, which remains no surprise whatsoever.
Do a part 2 of I’ve got a race to win! PLS it’s so good like give us the smut 😩😩
Ummmmmmmm so no smut(sorry to disappoint) but I don’t write that but heres a part two nonetheless
Also I honestly didn’t expect part one to get so much attention
This is about Xaiver and NOT Percy Hynes-White
-Victory-
Tumblr media
Xavier Thorpe X Reader
Part One
Ummmmmm yeah. Typical relationship problems sequel. Slight angst(maybe, not really) ahead. Happy ending because I can’t write one that isn’t annnnnnd Xaiver’s a little bit of a whiney bitch in this (that boy has some abandonment issues and maybe some other things, depressed ass) This is also kinda shitty because i honestly didn’t know how to expand on part one
——— ———
Oh god you fucked up. How you fucked up, you aren’t quite sure.
After the Poe cup you tried to get back to Xavier, but you just got caught up in everyone. Your team decided to have a mini celebration in your dorm and whenever you tried to leave, someone pulled you back.
You didn’t think too much of it, Xavier was your best friend(? Boyfriend? You don't really know) you could talk to him tomorrow.
But, as it seems, he did not want to talk to you.
You tried, you tried a ton. Every class you had with him you made a point to sit next to him and try to get his attention. You passed notes, made quiet quips to him about the lessons, tried to follow him to classes you didn’t even have.
He was ignoring you. It was very plain to see. Maybe if you had found him immediately after the cup. Maybe if you talked to him more insistently. Maybe if you hadn’t kissed him at all. You could have been misreading the signals, there might not have been any to begin with. And now you have fucked up and you don’t even really know what your fuck up is.
“I don’t see why you can’t just speak with him.” Wednesday says, watching you pathetically lay face down on Enid’s bed. “He’s ignoring them though.” Enid replies, sitting down next to you.
“I don't see why you can’t use force. Or let me drain him of his blood, that would put an end to this exhausting situation and let me have quiet writing time.” She snips out, pushing the keys on her typewriter a bit too forcefully.
“I’m not as intimidating as you. He’d see through any intimidating facade I put on.” You put a mocking tone on intimidating, knowing Xaiver would probably laugh in your face if you tried to be forceful with him.
He didn’t laugh when you were nipping at his neck in the forest
You groan at your thoughts, who even knows if he actually enjoyed that. Could have been faking to stall you. Which, in hindsight, doesn’t really make sense considering all it did was stall him.
A knock on the door breaks you out of your thoughts.
“Why is our room the one everyone decides to congregate in?” Wednesday asks annoyed, getting up to angrily open the door.
You jolt upright at Xavier’s voice.
“Wednesday, I really need to talk to you.” He said, not yet noticing you. She groans in response before stalking over to you.
Xaiver looks… honestly as bad as you felt, despite that you can’t help find his undone look incredibly attractive. Even though he looks ready to bolt as soon as he sees you.
Wednesday grabs your hand, forcefully pulling you up and dragging you towards the door.
“I believe you need to speak with them.” She replies by pushing you out the door.
You both stand there silently for a very long time.
You don’t really know what he’s waiting for. You’ve tried talking to him and all he does is push you away. The sigh that comes out of you when you realize he’s waiting for you is quite pitiful if you’re being honest.
You start to walk away, not letting him have the satisfaction of you asking what’s wrong again.
“Wait! Please… we really should talk.” He says after grabbing your arm. He puts on a joking tone, as if you’d laugh after all your dropped jokes from today.
“I don’t see why you want to talk now. After I’ve been trying all day.” You quip back, thoroughly exhausted with him.
“I know… I shouldn't have ignored you. I just… can we not do this in front of Enid’s room where you know she’s listening? Please?” He trails off, placing a pointed stare at the door behind you.
“Fine.” You sigh out, removing your hand from his grip and walking swiftly down the hallway. He catches up with you easily. Damn those long legs.
The walk to your dorm is awkward. So very awkward. The both of you used to be able to fill any silence with banter, gossip, or nothing at all, not caring what filled the silence, just that you were spending time with one another.
Then you went and screwed it all up.
Or he did.
Or you both did.
You honestly don’t know.
When you open the door you both walk quickly in, letting him shut it before leaning back.
“Look, I… I’m sorry for ignoring you. It was uncalled for.” He gets out, he’s never really been good at apologies.
“I don’t care that you were ignoring me, okay I care but I just want to know the reason. What did I do that made you so pissed?” You ask, placing your hands on your hips.
He looks utterly astonished that you don’t know, not taking into consideration that he didn’t tell you.
“Excuse me? You used me! You kissed me when you knew I liked you to win the stupid trophy and didn’t even care enough to spare me a glance after you did.” He answers, which only makes you more confused.
“First of all you kissed me, not the other way around! And secondly, how could I have used your feelings if I didn’t even know you had them! And third of all! I tried to talk to you and you blew me off!” You reply, stalking closer to him.
“How could you not have! I made it so incredibly obvious! Everyone knew! They constantly joked about how whipped I am in front of you!” He says, exasperatedly, running his hands through his hair.
“Well I didn’t! And now you decide to ignore me because I couldn’t get back to you immediately after I won! I wanted to! If that makes you feel better. Except you’re so good at ignoring me and not just fucking communicating like a rational person, that that wouldn’t have mattered! Ya’ know sometimes I think- “ it doesn’t really matter what you think when Xavier pulls you head forward to meet your lips with his.
While this is most certainly not a solution to the problem at hand you can’t deny it’s a very good distraction. Xavier’s hands land on your cheeks, making sure you don’t stray too far from him in your attempts for breath, while yours are clutched at his shirt, just as desperate to keep him close to you.
God, it’s lovely, hot breaths mingled in between long drawn out kisses and Xaivers short groans whenever you decide to nip at his lips.
Reluctantly(very reluctantly) you pull away from him.
“This isn’t exactly communicating.” You whisper out, looking at Xaivers flushed face.
“You’re not getting the message?” He says, trailing one of his hands down to rest on your hip. “I love you, have for longer than I’d like to admit.”
“Thankfully, don’t know what I’d do if I had to go back to pretending that you don’t drive me crazy.” You confess, quivering as his thumb swipes over your lips.
“I might need to make it a little clearer though.” He suggests with a devious glint in his eyes.
“Maybe… “ you breathe out, your eyelids already sliding shut.
Once his lips are on yours for a third time in the past 24 hours, you don’t think you could ever remember when victory tasted as sweet.
———
She missed him, every day and every night, she missed him when she was about to go to sleep, remembering all those times they would FaceTime right before bed, even when he was at the other side of the globe and it was 9am where he was, he would always be sure to call her before bed, she missed those times when he wasn’t traveling, those few days between races where he would stay in their apartment and wake her up with breakfast in bed, or take her to the beach or just driving around in the city of Monaco, right now she was in Atlanta shooting for her new film, but she couldn’t really get her boyfriend out of her mind, needing to see him, hug him, kiss him, feel him and just be with him in general.
It wasn’t more than a week since the last time she saw him, they reunited in Monaco right after Silverstone’s huge disaster in which he did a wonderful job keeping good positions most of the race but getting Ferrari to fuck him over once again getting a disappoint p4 and a really angry Charles at his own team, but at least Carlos had won and she was truly happy for the Spanish’s first win.
Then they both traveled back to Charles hometown, Montecarlo. Her first on Sunday afternoon and Charles joining her later on Monday morning, they stayed there for a good two day, or so, she was supposed to join him at the race but sadly she had to comeback to Atlanta earlier than anticipated, her boyfriend driving her to the airport at two in the morning on Wednesday, leaving her sobbing on his shoulder before catching the plane.
He wanted to come with her, to see her in action like he said, but his schedule didn’t really allowed it, having press conferences and practice a day earlier because of the sprint race.
"And cut!” The director yelled at her direction, getting her out of the small trance she had entered thinking about her boyfriend. “We are done for the day ladies and gentlemen”
“That’s it?” She asked, at little bit confused thinking she had to film some other things before the end of the day.
"Yup, i have a meeting with some of the producers and stuff so I’ll let you when the filming will start tomorrow morning”
She nodded standing up from the floor she was previously laying, walking to her trailer, her assistant running toward her at a full speed.
“He got p2!” She exclaimed excitingly, and probably the whole of the set heard the small scream that left her mouth, whilst a brilliant smile lit of her face.
“Really? Oh my god i knew it, I’m so proud of him” She said hugging her assistant, and taking the towel out of her hand to dry her wet hair and body that came out of the previous scene she was just shooting.
“Did he call?”
“No, not yet they just finished i was watching it live from the app like you asked me to”
“Thank you so much, Ana” she genuinely thanked her assistant, she was really nervous for Charles and a little bit upset that she was going to filming be in between scenes during the sprint race and even though Charles insisted that it wasn’t that big of a deal and that she should be focused on her filming and that he would call her as soon as he could to tell her everything from his mouth, she still asked her assistant if she could watch the race for her so she could be updating her in between shoots and the young girl didn’t denied.
“Yeah no problem, it was actually kinda fun”
“I’m glad you enjoyed it, Ana”
The blonde started telling her a little bit about how the race went as they both made their way to her trailer, the girl telling her that Verstappen had gotten p1 but her boyfriend still scoring some great 7 points and Carlos some other 6 from the sprint, something the team need for the constructors championship if they still wanted to be competitive, when all of the sudden her phone started ringing as they arrive the door of the trailer, the name of her boyfriend adorned with heart emojis lighting up her screen.
“I’ll leave you two to it, bet he’ll tell you the story better than me”
“Thanks Ana, see you tomorrow, love you”
“Love you too, bye”
“Bye!” Was the last thing shouted back to her assistant as she entered the trailer, answering her boyfriend with a big proud smile on her face as she throw herself on the bed of the big car.
“Baby guess wh-“
“My favorite 7 point winner!” She celebrated smiling through the screen, Charles face all light up because of the happiness he was feeling after scoring some good points that he truly needed, her heart flustered at the sight of his bright smile and redden cheeks.
“You got to watch it?”
“Something like that”
“What do you mean something like that?” He ask as he accommodated himself in his drivers room.
“I made Ana watched and update me while filming” she admitted embarrassed, cheeks tinting with specs of red.
“Don’t me embarrassed ma chérie, I love it when you do small things like that for me, it’s cute”
Her cheeks turned more red with every word that came out of the monegasque’s mouth, a small laugh coming out of his lips when he noticed how nervous he was making his girlfriend.
“Stop Charles, or I’ll punch you when I see you”
“I’ll rather have a kiss if it’s up for discussion mon amour” she smiled, admiring proudly the boy on the other side of the screen, it has been a while since he has been this happy with anything race related, he truly loved the sport but the awful strategic choices that he’s team constantly made, we’re making him frustrated and sad, so it breath of fresh air seeing him that happy, even with a p2.
“I hate you, Charles”
“No you don’t” he gives her smirk on his side of the screen making her roll her eyes and give him the finger.
“No, I don’t” she gives in a small grin flashing her face. “But I do miss you, so much baby” she finally admitted to him, she never liked to tell Charles that she missed him because she didn’t want him to feel guilty like he usually does about everything that surrounded him, even things that didn’t have anything to do with him, like Silverstone and Azerbaijan.
“I know baby, I miss you too, all the frinking time, but summer break it’s right around the corner and then I can join you in Atlanta to see you film like I’ve always wanted and then take you to Monaco beaches and we can go traveling the Italian coast like I promised you, it’ll be just the two of us, and believe me when I tell you that the only time I’ll leave your side it’s when I’ll be on top of you”
“Charles!” The girl chuckled, redden cheeks once again.
“Making you scream just like that”
“Charles, I swear to god” she started laughing as she scolded him through the phone, as a goofy smile adorned her boyfriends face.
“It’s okay, you can also be on top of you want baby, I’m always here to please your needs” he gives her a small grin as she tries to keep her laughter from coming out with a serious expression.
“I’ll hang up now Leclerc”
“No wait, I want to tell you about the race”
He pouted and she gave in with a small sigh never been able to be mad or
to say to him, accommodating herself on the trailers bed ready to her all of what her beautiful boy had to say.
So he excitingly began “it started When Verst…”
(….)
“Baby I have to leave you, Binotto is annoying me about press”
“M’kay baby, I love you” she mumbled as she was falling asleep, not because he was boring her or anything but because Charles voice always had a way to soothe her, and relaxing her, she has always had sleeping and anxiety problems, but since their calls before bed she has slept like a baby, not to mention that when they sleep in the same bed she can pass out for 10 hours straight with her head on her chest or with him spooning her both like he loved to.
“Love you too, sleep well” he hangs up smilie face and everything but not before throwing some kisses at the camera just for her.
She smirk like a stupid person at the phone, as she throw it in the bed to plug in the charger, the time was 10 pm o’clock and she realized she had just spent almost 3 hours on the phone with her boyfriend and that the girl that handles the schedules for the next day at 8 pm sharp never showed up.
She shrugged her shoulders, as she prepares for bed walking towards the bathroom to begin with her respective skincare routine, but several loud bangs on her door interrupted her halfway.
“Oh my god! You won’t believe it!” The voice that clearly was her assistant’s echoed throughout the whole trailer, excitement clearly noticeable in her tone.
“What happened Ana?” She mumbled why grumpiness opening the door.
“You now have free week and a half”
“Yeah and- Wait, what?!” She exclaimed still half sleep not sure that she had heard correctly.
“Yeah! You have more scenes done that anyone here so meanwhile the others catch-up with you the producers and directors took the choice of giving you a week and a half break so they don’t have you here doing nothing”
“Oh my god!” She squealed loudly, jumping up and that, that meant that she could go see Charles and spent time with him.
she could even see him race tomorrow!
“That means that i can go-“
“See Charles, yeah i’m way ahead of you, I already book you a ticket for Austria, your flight leaves in two hours and a half” her assistant interrupts her as she hands her the flight information and the tickets. “You’ll get to Austria two hours before the race, and you’ll get to the circuit about half an hours before the star of the race”
“Did I tell you that I love you?” She said admiringly, almost swearing that Ana was basically glowing like a divine intervention right now.
“Yeah, yeah I’m amazing now go to your place, and pack a bag because I don’t want you to make me watch the race tomorrow while I listen to you for two more hours about how you miss Charles”
“Ok” she said softly before wrapping the small girl in a tight hug full of gratefulness.
“Thank you”
“Sweetie my job is to make you happy, and you’ve miss that boy with every cell in your body since you got here on Wednesday, so go now and have fun before producers regret and call you back to have you here to do nothing”
The girl pulled her outside of the vehicle as she handle her the keys to her car and pushed her to hurry, she thanked her again as she basically ran to the vehicle needing to see Charles more that anything in the entire world.
(…)
She landed at about 11 am, and the drive from the airport to the hotel where Charles was staying took about an hour and a half.
who would know that Austrian traffic is a real bitch?
When she got to the hotel, Charles’ manager had someone meet here there with the drivers room key and a car to take her to the race.
She went to the room, a big ass smile plastered on her face from the moment she opened the door and the smell of her boyfriend invaded her nostrils.
She basically run at the speed of light into the bathroom from how fast she got in there to take a shower and change herself into a more adequate closes for the race, so she put herself into some cute black pants, a white top and a Ferrari jersey she got from Etsy with Charles’ number embroidered into it, she had been dying to show it to the driver, excited for when the next race was going to be and now she could finally show it to him.
When she got to the circuit, all she could see was a freaking horde of orange and Red Bull caps, and obviously the typical Red Sea of the Ferrari Fans or tifosi how they are usually called.
She got out of the fancy black Ferrari car that had picked her in the hotel, with the paddock pass hanging from her neck, black dark glasses covering her eyes, when all of the fans got the sight of her the screams became significantly louder.
A small laugh got out of her, as she approached some teenagers that were begging for pictures with her, one of the girls throwing a cap with her boyfriends number on it.
“You sure you wanna lose that?” She ask a playful smirk adorning her face before put it on for a picture with them.
“Keep it! I have a few others at home bu I’ll never get the chance again to say that Charles’ Leclerc girlfriend wore my cap to the Austrian Grand Prix”
She burst out in laughter whilst signing her phone case. “Thanks cutie” she said winking her eye action that she had adopted from her boyfriend before walking away.
She got in smoothly with the paddock pass, it was impressive those little plastics work, she walk nervously towards the Ferrari garage, anxious to see Charles’ face.
All the engineers and crew from the team saying hello to her since she was there for most of the start of the season when she was taking a little break from acting.
The first Ferrari drivers that showed up on her sight was no more or less than Carlos Sainz who’s face turn up a big smile when he saw her.
“What are you doing here?!” He wrapped her in a tight hug lifting her a little making her shriek excitingly, when he put her safely back on the ground she explained to the Spanish driver that she was there to surprise Charles. “You’re boyfriends over there on his typical pre-race ritual, very stressed, Binnotos’ there with him trying to calm him down, seeing you will do him really good”
“Yeah I missed him like crazy, see you Carlos, good luck”
The driver left with a friendly kiss on her cheek sprinting to his car, she smiled to him one last time before walking away, every step that got her closer to where her boyfriend her heart pounded faster, hands shaking uncontrollably, she was excited but also a bit nervous because when racing, Charles would get on this different mindset and it kinda worried her that he wouldn’t like that she was there, it was very unlikely but this was the first time she surprised him showing up to a race unannounced.
But when she saw him, his back facing her, headphones on his ears as his elbows were on his knees while staring on his phone, she could swear that the smile on her face made her look like a crazy person, her heart beating so fast she could feel it on her throat so with shaking hands she started walking towards him.
(…)
Charles was stressed, a pit in the bottom of his stomach worried about what would the result of this race might be, he was tired and worried, he would oftenly text or call his girlfriend when feeling like this, cause she would always knew how to calm him down and exactly what to say to make him feelbetter, but he knew that she was working and didn’t really wanted to bother her, he knew she wouldn’t mind but he didn’t want to get her worried.
Charles adored his girlfriend, he would take a bullet for her on the spot without a hint of hesitation, sometimes he wonders to himself how he got to be with such an awesome girl like her, he loves everything about her, every time a race ends the very first thing he thinks about it’s her, about how he wants to celebrate his wins with her in every way possible, and to be in her arms everything time that something goes wrong, which have been the case lately.
He got up, taking off his headphones and passing her hand trough his hair, he check his phone once again to see if his girlfriend had answered his texts, seeing that there wasn’t any response he turn it off again a little worried with the fact that she hasn’t even read the text he had send it the night before after they had FaceTimed but he shrugged it off knowing that he had to focused on the race and knowing that probably the reason of his girls disappearance was because she was filling or learning lines.
He put his phone on one of the tables in his garage when suddenly he felt some thin arms that he could recognize even in his sleep wrapping around his waist, and the characteristic coconut smell hitting him all at once as the girls head curled against his neck as she purred “Hi baby”
“Mon ange” he whispered in disbelief that this was her, right there with her arms wrapped around him, face on his neck, he wasn’t dreaming and she wasn’t thousands of miles away from him, he could swear that the smile that formed on his face could be seen from outer space.
He took a deep breath trying to take it all in, as she rested his face on his neck whispering “how much she had missed him” He was still a bit shocked that this was happening, as he took her arms on his hands to free himself from her grasp to turn around, cupping her face with one one his hand as the other snaked it’s way to her waist.
“I can’t believe you’re here”
He said softly rubbing circles on her waist while she had one of the most biggest beautiful smiles that he has ever seen looking almost proud that she could pull this off and that he was so happy to see her.
but how couldn’t he be? When every time he was around her he felt the world was lifted off his shoulders, that there were no longer expectations and disappointments and it was just him and her pretty ass smile, it made his heart fluster that it was all because of finally seen him, that she was just as happy to see him so he knew he couldn’t restrain himself any longer when he crash his lips against hers.
When they finally kissed after all those days that felt like an eternity, they both felt like nothing had ever felt so right as they basically melted against one another, her arms curling through his neck, both hands petting his hair, and right there she felt like crying from how much she had missed him and how much she loved him, Charles right behind as he finally relaxed after all those stressed days where he wished she had been there with him, the kissed was one feel with sentiment love irradiating from the couple as his tongue pressed her upper lip asking for permission, the girl smiling mid kiss just to kiss the driver once again.
“ I missed you so fucking much “ Charles murmured again her lips, giving her small pecks through her face making her giggle.
“I was so nervous” she admitted, both her hands resting on his face, as his arms kept still around her waist.
“Why?” He asked genuinely confused, she then proceeded to shrugged it off saying that it was just her being dumb, Charles denying with his head as her cheeks turn red.
“Mon ange, I don’t ever want you to think that I don’t want you here with me, because I mean, if it was for me I would have you tied up to my side day and night, okay?” She nodded as he gave her a small kiss and hugged her again, this time his face on the crook of her neck.
“My pretty girl” he whispered as he went leaving kissed on her jaw and neck, her giggling once again. “Came all the way from Atlanta, with a jacket with my number on it”
“You liked it?” She asked excitingly as Charles laughed against her neck, separating from her.
“Are you kidding me? I love it” he smiled against her, as their foreheads touched, her baseball cap falling to the ground, he separated from her as he knew that the would calling him for the formation lap any minute now, the engineers all in their world as they wanted to give them their privacy, he grabbed his girls hand as he dragged her trough the garage while asking her about her trip, she excitingly telling him every single thing about it as he now rested against the outside wall of the garage, putting on his suit and drinking some water, while looking at her like she was the only thing in the entire world, just for him, with a jacket and a cap to prove it.
“What? Am I talking too much?” She asked while playing with her hands getting a bit embarrassed that he was boring him”
“Oh non chérie, you just look really pretty with my number on you” he smiles to her as she chuckled, rolling her eyes.
“Charles I know your happy that your girlfriend is here but Mattia will have a stroke if you don’t get in the car right about now” one of the engineers informed them, making them both giggle as Charles lean towards her for a last kiss before put in his helmet on and get in the car.
“I love you” he said as their lips touched once again, her smiling against him.
“Good luck baby, go kick their asses like you know how to” she encourage as she peck his lips one more time, leaving him with a small smile as he put his helmet on.
“Yes ma’am” he said as he finally separated from her and got on his racing car.
“Love you, be safe” was the last she shouted to him as the car started and she walked towards the paddock and he gave her a small thumbs up.
(….)
She felt like she was about to throw up right there and then.
Carlos sitting beside her, still very angry about his DNF and his engine problems but borrowing his arm for her to squeeze as his boyfriend was suffering in the track, his throttle giving him problems with only three laps left and Verstappen on top of him.
“Turn three it’s really difficult” he said through his radio as she felt like she could pass out from her nerves for her boyfriend, the win almost his for the taking.
So when he finally passed the checkered flag, a couple of laps later she felt like she could finally breath again as everyone around her celebrated and even Carlos who was still down from his engine problem clapped and celebrated for her boyfriend.
“Go celebrate with him, he’ll want you there when he gets here”
She got up from her sit as Carlos encourage her moving his hand from front to backwards as she rolled her eyes smiling starting to run to the garage to receive her boyfriend from his winning race.
So she stand there as he park the car as he celebrated and hugged his engineers, but when he finally saw her she smiled to him with everything that she had as he launched himself to her to wrap her in a tight hug.
“I love you, I’m so proud of you” she scream throughout the noise as Charles took of his helmet, to gave her a winning smiling as she felt herself so full of excitement for him, being able to see him happy and excited again, his eye’s lighting up as his face was basically glowing from how happy she was and she was so thankful that she was there with him, and so incredibly proud of what he had just accomplished too.
So when he took of his helmet he crashed their lips together once again, catching her of guard as she returned the kiss placing her hands on his cheeks.
“Won that race just for you chérie, I love you so much”
And with that she kissed him again, both their hearts beating at what it felt like a thousand miles per hour, as they both thanked everything around them and that they were together to celebrate Charles’ win.
So she screamed like a crazy fan when he was in podium and got redden cheeks when he wink to her as he lifted the trophy to then bathe her with champagne and laughed and kissed as they enjoyed that well deserved rave that the driver most definitely needed.
Her wishing for a celebration of the both of them just later.
Her unexpected visit wasn’t so bad after all.
„And I thought I was weird for feeling uncomfortable at that, you know? They broke up, it's not really his place to say anything like that especially after telling Dina he's over her anyways" You're best friend said, finishing up her explanation of yesterdays event with Dina and Jesse. He found the two of them smoking near a warehouse and from what you made out of Ellie's explanation, he wasn't too happy to see them sitting so close.
You and Ellie were having another movie night, those happen pretty often. ( Every Wednesday, to be exact.) sitting on the old sofa in your living room with you're legs resting on hers. „Well, it's still fresh. Don't think he's jealous of the two of you spending lots of time together but maybe it's just a weird feeling seeing her with someone else, though there's absolutely nothing between you and Dina" you replied, chuckling at the thought of Jesse being all jealous over nothing. You rested your head back against the many sofa pillows, enjoying the comfy half sitting half laying position you're in. „Yeah.. totally" Ellie mumbled, looking down at her hands resting on top of you ankles, shifting uncomfortably. Knowing Ellie probably better than anyone else, you knew right away that something seems off.
„Wait.." you said,  sensing the weird vibe from you're best friend. „There is nothing between you two, right?" you said, lifting you're upper body into a more sitting posture. „Ellie?" you said her name as you're so called friend didn't answer right away. You felt you're heart stink, not really being sure of what's going on exactly. „uhm.. I don't wanna talk about it?" she said, looking at you with an apologetic look, making it sound more like a question than an real steady answer. „Hell no, remember our ‚no lying rule'?" you said. „Cmon we made that rule as we were 15, that's childish." she said while caressing through her hair, suddenly looking all exhausted. „It wasn't childish when I had my first kiss and didn't want to talk about it" You mentioned. Remembering the night you ran about 2 miles to Ellie's house after spending the afternoon with some other kids in the pub, playing some stupid games. After you kissed Sophia as you're truth or dare quest you took of running, straight into the arms of the brown haired girl who couldn't participate that nights event due to a cold. Ellie knew something must've happened and as you really didn't want to talk about it, embarrassed by the fact that everyone could probably tell you never kissed anyone ever before, Ellie set up a rule. *„Let's promise to always be honest, life is too fucked up to screw it up with lies"* you knew she was right and since that night you tried to always be honest to each other.
„Cmon that's totally different!" Ellie defended herself, crossing her arms above her chest. „Jesus, Williams, answer the fucking question and stop being difficult" you said with a light voice, feeling like Ellie was some deer that takes of running as soon as you're tone was slightly off. „I mean, there is nothing between me and Dina.. so" she explained and you could tell that She was satisfied with her answer since her shoulders became less tense. „But you wish there was?" you asked, not able to look at Ellie you decided to give you're hands something to do, grabbing the soda can you had standing infront of you at the table. „I.. yeah, I guess? Okay. Who am I kidding" she said, her hands running over her face. She revealed a slight laugh. „Oh god" she groaned, now fully blushing like a 13 year old teenager. „Yeah, yeah I do like her. Fuck, this is the first time admitting it out loud" she said.
You took a sip from you're soda, the carbonic acid being long gone since you opened the can almost 2 hours ago, giving you a second or two to continue to stay silent. Having the opportunity to ignore the trouble of you're mind right now
The Jealousy building up inside of you made you think like you're going all crazy, fighting against the urge to scream inside a pillow you took that energy elsewhere. „okay, good for you" you said, taking another sip from the drink, hoping to put out the fire building up in you're chest. Ellie looked at you saying „it's not weird, right? Falling for her?" you looked at her again, considering of telling her what you really think. You consider of telling her that's it's not weird, but you don't like it either. No , you hate it. You hate it so much because you want Ellie to fall for you instead of her.
But you didn't say that. Instead you betrayed your 15 year old self by lying to Ellie and yourself.
It's been three months, 4 days and 2,5 Hours without a word from her.
 Ever since then , You are entangled in the delicate web of grief for what felt like for two people, where the threads of loss and longing weave intricate patterns within your heart. Two souls, distinct yet equally significant, find their place in the chambers of your being.
Dylan, now resting six feet under, has embarked on a journey beyond the veil. His earthly vessel lies cradled by the soil, while his essence pirouettes among the constellations. The wasteland of the unknown stretches before him—And then there's your best friend, a constellation of memories and shared secrets. But her presence has become elusive, slipping through your fingers like sand. She chooses silence—a withdrawal that echoes louder than any spoken words. And you tried. Oh, how you tried to get her to speak—the silent symphony of longing, the unspoken words that hung in the air like dew-kissed spider silk. Your gaze, a language of its own, whispered secrets that transcended mere sentences. But she? She met your offerings with silence—a void that echoed louder than any spoken syllable. She stopped coming over. The threshold of your space became a chasm, a bridge severed by unspoken truths. The door, once a portal to laughter and whispered confidences, now stood closed. The only ever time you got to see her, to give yourself the inner peace of her being okay, was on the weekly parol meetings. She attended, her presence a fragile thread connecting you both. But she mastered the art of departure—slipping away before your eyes could catch hers. The opposite direction became her refuge, a path untrodden by your footsteps.
Talking wasn't what Ellie needed. You sensed it, that unspoken ache in the air—the need for silence, for space. So you stepped back, honoring the boundaries she drew around her heart. But your longing couldnt be unoticed by you any longer so after three weeks, you started writing to her. Youre desperation spilled over, ink bleeding onto paper.  You became a clandestine messenger, slipping perfumed notes into the small slit of her mailbox. Each letter carried a piece of your soul—a plea, a confession, a desperate whisper.  It lingered on your fingertips, a bridge between worlds. And as you pressed those letters into the darkness, you imagined her fingers brushing against them. Would she feel the urgency? Would she hear your silent screams for her friendship?  Handwritten letters—those delicate vessels of ink and paper—weave memories that transcend mere words. Each stroke of the pen, each carefully crafted sentence, carries a piece of the you in them. The intimacy lies not only in the content but also in the act of creation itself. You decided to write her if shes unable to talk, you wanted to give her the space she needed, you tried to be as understanding as you could. But one unanswered letter turned into two, three, four. You stopped putting them into her mailbox after five.
Now, you're trying to ignore the pain in your heart every time you wake up. Ellie's childish behavior hasn't stopped you from living your life. Instead, you channel your anger and sleepless nights into your work, making each patrol count. Working alongside Jesse has become a bright spot—a fun experience you eagerly anticipate. It's not the same as those moments outside the gates with Ellie, but it's different in a way that doesn't breed resentment.
You and Jesse share a closeness that predates his separation from Dina. The heartbreak they both faced has left its mark, and you find solace in each other's company. Jesse isn't thrilled about the situation either—the breakup and lingering jealousy still gnaw at him. On that second day of patrol together, he broaches the awkward topic between you and Ellie. "So, you gonna tell me what happened or not?" Jesse's voice cut through the quiet of the abandoned checkpoint. He pulled a sandwich from his backpack, the crinkling of the wrapper echoing in the dim light. The two of you sat there, weary from the day's patrol, the weight of your assigned route still clinging to your bones. Nightfall had descended too swiftly, and the dangers of this post-apocalyptic world made it impossible to venture home safely after dark. You shifted uncomfortably on the hard ground, the rough edges of the old checkpoint digging into your back. The makeshift campsite was a stark reminder of the life you now led—constantly on the move, always vigilant. Jesse's eyes bore into yours, waiting for an answer.
"Don't really know what's there to say, to be honest," you replied, your fingers tracing the edges of the food you'd prepared hours ago. The silence now haning between the two of you wasnt uncomftable,punctuated by the distant howl of a lone infected.  "Maybe explain why we're now patrol partners? I thought you and Ellie made such a good team. Not that I'm complaining, though—we're badass too. Just wondering why you suddenly decided that Ellie wasn't good enough anymore," Jesse's voice cut through the dimly lit space of the makeshift camp. He lay down on the sleeping bag, using his right arm as a makeshift pillow, his gaze fixed on you. The flicker of confusion danced through the forest of your mind as you replayed Jesse's last words.
"What? I didn't decide that," you replied, studying your friend's posture as he took a bite of his cheese sandwich. "I asked Dina what happened earlier today." Jesse mumbled, his mouth still half full. "Ellie told her it was you who decided to change partners. Don't get me wrong—I feel honored to be your new partner in crime. I was just curious about what happened." - ''the fuck?'' You said more to yourself than him. ''Thats so fucked up..'' -"Okay, c'mon, I need the drama. Please explain to me like everything. Consider me one of your gossip girls," Jesse quipped, his unseriousness bringing a smile to your face. You took another bite of your food, savoring the dry bread as you gathered your thoughts. Trusting Jesse, you decided it wasn't a bad idea to share what had transpired between you and Ellie. So, with a deep breath, you began recounting the events of your last patrol with her. Jesse leans in, eyes wide with curiosity. His sandwich forgotten, he hangs on every word as you recount the events of that fateful patrol with Ellie. The tension, the unspoken words, the ache in your chest—it all spills out, painting a vivid picture of the fractured bond between you and the girl who once felt like your world.
"Damn," Jesse mutters, running a hand through his hair. "That's heavy stuff." His gaze lingers on your face, searching for answers. "You think she'll come around?'' You shrug, the weight of uncertainty settling on your shoulders. ''Dont think so, I think she regrets even kissing me. She has dina now, dont think that she'll need me anymore.'' Your gaze drifts down to your wrist, where the matching bracelet still clings—a fragile thread connecting you to Ellie. You wonder if she wears hers. Jesse, now leading forward, nudges your shoulder playfully. "Well, partner," he says, "we'll keep kicking ass out here. Fuck them both".
After that night, you felt like Jesse and you were attached at the hip. Somehow, you both helped each other navigate the jagged terrain of heartbreak, spending time together and letting the hours slip away. Being friends with Jesse had its perks. He acted as a bridge to Ellie, still maintaining a sort of friendship with Dina, getting slim updates from her. Through Jesse, you received updates about Ellie—whether she was safe, whether she'd eaten enough.
But it wasn't the same. Those impersonal updates couldn't replace the warmth of setting eyes on Ellie, hearing her voice—the cadence of her laughter, the way she'd say your name. You missed the little things, the mundane details that had once woven your lives together. But over the time you started to accept the turn of events, knowing you cannot force Friendship on somebody.
You started to distract yourself outside of work, whether it was with Jesse or... Sophia. After that encounter where Maria broke the news to you about Ellie changing everything, you did the only thing you knew you were really good at: You ran off.
Weirdly enough, two weeks after that pivotal moment and your  patrols with Jesse as your new partner, a knock on your door interrupted your vegetable-cutting session in the small kitchen. As you walked toward the door, a million possibilities raced through your mind. Was it Ellie, knocking on the wood on a late rainy afternoon? Or perhaps Jesse, wanting to talk? Dina? Or maybe Joel, coming all the way to the comfort of your four walls to deliver news about his beloved Ellie being hurt.
Secretly, you wished it was Ellie. So you ran a hand through your hair, glancing into the small mirror hanging near the door to check yourself out before opening the squeaky wood.  But on the other side stood Sophia, holding a plate covered in aluminum foil.  "Uhm... hey," she said, her cheeks flushed with red. "I've made some cake—way too much to eat all by myself. I wanted to share it. If, um, you want to, of course. It's chocolate cake." Her words tumbled out in a rush, and you sensed her nervousness. A Small smile spread across your face as you stepped aside, making space for her to enter the house. "That's too kind," you replied. "You've got impeccable timing. I just finished dinner—perfect time for dessert. Come inside." You didn't mention the comforting fact that her house was all the way across town, meaning she'd walked quite a distance just to bring you cake. Nor did you acknowledge that it was common knowledge that Sophia is allergic to Chocolate but it was your favorite.
One hour with Sophia turned into two, and before you knew it, the entire afternoon was filled with your laughter. She ended up staying over, making your house feel less empty. Since Dylan's passing, sleep had eluded you. Without Ellie by your side, it felt impossible to quiet your mind. Sophia changed that somewhat, but it didn't feel the same. Perhaps your own mind betrayed you, clouding your thoughts about her presence. You didn't want her to leave, yet you didn't necessarily want her to stay either. The universe seemed to decide for you, as the strawberry-blonde girl drifted off to sleep on your sofa after what felt like an eternity of talking.
You settled into your gray armchair, gently covering her thin body with your favorite blanket—the same one Ellie used to take whenever she stayed over. The entire night, you found yourself comparing Sophia to Ellie—the way she moved, the cadence of her voice, the sparkle in her eyes when she spoke about her interests. It wasn't a good thing, you must admit. Sophia is a nice girl, but you never really considered her a potential friend, especially since you both shared your first kisses with each other. After that, things got weird, and you both grew up, walking different paths.
Yet now, here she was—baking you cakes, making you laugh, and filling the void left by Ellie. The universe had a funny way of intertwining lives, even when hearts were tangled in memories and unanswered letters. Having someone else in Ellie's place is like trying to fit a puzzle piece into a space that was uniquely shaped for her. It's both comforting and disorienting—a blend of familiarity and foreignness. Her presence brings warmth, but it's a different kind—the soft glow of candlelight instead of the blazing fire that Ellie ignited.Sophia's touch is gentle, her fingers tracing patterns on your skin. But it lacks the electric charge—the pulse of longing—that Ellie's touch carried. You wonder if Sophia noticed the way you hesitated, the way your heart stumbles when she leans in too close.
The day with Sophia didnt end there, it  stretched into a comfortable rhythm, covering the next two days of your life —a dance of shared meals, laughter, and quiet moments. Her presence filled the spaces that Ellie had once occupied, and you found yourself not minding it at all. The awkwardness of those initial conversations melted away as you both peeled back layers, revealing stories and dreams that wove your lives together.
But life has a way of interrupting even the most harmonious melodies. Jesse, with his uninvited pizza and the entire Twilight saga in tow, barged into your living room. You tried to politely decline the teen romance marathon—you'd seen it one too many times—but Jesse, being Jesse, brushed off your protests. His eyes widened when he saw Sophia sitting there, a teasing grin tugging at his lips. You knew he'd milk this moment, teasing you about having a cute girl over at your house.
After Jesse left, well, pratically run out, you settled back onto the sofa next to Sophia. "That was... Jesse, right?" she asked, her fingers playing with her curly hair. You leaned against the soft material of the sofa, nodding. "Uhm, yup." Sophia's gaze lingered on you, and you sensed her curiosity. "You two do spend a lot of time together—even after patrols," she observed."Oh? You noticed that? Stalking me, huh?" you teased, making Sophia blush. Her cheeks turned a delightful shade of pink. "Well," she replied, her voice soft, "you just always catch my eye." And then, without warning, her body shifted closer. Her hands found their place on either side of your waist, and her lips met yours—a sweetness that tasted like possibility. You hated yourself for it, truly. Because here was a girl with good intentions, almost on top of you, and your mind couldn't help but wish it was Ellie.
Another two months slip through your fingers, ephemeral as morning mist. Life, once heavy with the ache of Ellie's absence, begins to lift itself up.  Sophia becomes a constant presence—a sunbeam that warms the corners of your heart as you allow yourself. Your growing relationship with Sophia blossoms, and you find comfort in her laughter, her touch, and the shared moments that weave your lives together. The unspoken question lingers: Are you allowed to call her your girlfriend? After all, you've shared more than just cake and conversations. Perhaps labels matter less than the way she looks at you, the way her fingers intertwine with yours.
And then there's Jesse—the steadfast friend who bridges the gap between patrols and pizza nights. His teasing about Sophia doesn't go unnoticed, but he's also the one who brings laughter into your home. Everything else remains unchanged—the memories, the unanswered letters, and the quiet longing. Life moves forward, and you find solace in the delicate balance of old and new. Patrol was as good as it could be, once you and Jesse found a way to connect your abilities, it didnt really feel like work anymore.
"Yo, little one," Jesse's voice cut through the quiet of the stables, interrupting your grooming session with Lacy. You turned to meet his gaze, immediately noticing his patrol clothes—fitting perfectly against his frame. "What the hell are you doing? We have the day off, remember?" you asked, your fingers still caressing Lacy's mane.
"Not anymore," Jesse replied, already opening the door to his horse's stable. "Dina apparently has the flu, and they both forgot to sign in at the station outside. Maria asked me to take their route for today and look for anything weird." He led his dark brown horse out of the stable, determination etched on his face.
"Good luck with that," you said, turning back to continue your work. But Jesse wasn't done. "Nuh huh, lover girl. You're joining me," he declared, his tone leaving no room for argument. "Pardon?" You looked at him, confusion knitting your brows. "Don't hit me with Spanish,"- ''Its french'' Jesse chuckled. "well whatever it was,I don't speak it. Come on now, get ready. We don't have all day." He saddled his horse efficiently, his movements practiced. "Why should I? You said yes, not me," you replied stubbornly, even though you gathered all the essentials needed to prepare Lacy. "Well, because I'm your partner in crime? Your work husband? Love of your patrol life?" Jesse grinned, his eyes dancing with mischief. "And because I'll get bored alone. You don't have anything better to do anyway." - ''Rude?! maybe i had things planned?!'' You said, jokingly offended as you grab your stuff  ''You can meet sophia  and have all of those important 'converstations'' he made weird kissing noises ''later.'' He finished his sentance, making you laugh ''Well first of all I-'' You got interrupted by the sound of someone clearing their throat. You looked into the direction of the noise and saw the last person you wanted to see today. ''Sup, Ellie.'' Jesse said, leaning against the stable door. ''what can I do for you?'' He asked, eyes stuck on ellie. But her gaze lied elsewhere; On you.
You shivered under her gaze, your heart racing. As you looked into Ellie's eyes—the first time in forever—you sensed something there, something you couldn't quite put into words. Her burning gaze finally shifted from you to Jesse, arms crossed at her chest.
"Earlier, when me and Dina were at the station, I lost my journal," Ellie said, her voice close, intimate. "Can you look for it? Kinda really need it back." Her words echoed through the stable, and suddenly, the air felt too thin. Your knees wobbled, memories of Ellie cascading down the memory bridge, crashing into your stomach. You felt like you might throw up. "Sure, we will look for it. Anything else?" Jesse asked, glancing between the two of you. Ellie's eyes traveled back to you, and silent hope bloomed in your chest. Maybe this was the moment—maybe Ellie would finally have the guts to talk to you directly, to say she's sorry. But as her gaze wavered, you felt the familiar pang of disappointment. Once again, Ellie remained silent.You felt a strong hand on your shoulder, silently offering support. Jesse's familiar scent enveloped you. "Thought so," he said, ending the conversation. Ellie nodded and turned away, leaving the two of you alone. The barn was filled with silence until you spoke with a shaky voice. "Okay, let's just go." And so you did—you and Jesse left for patrol. But with every passing second, the memory of that confrontation lingered, and you realized how much you still craved her.
"Jesus, I hate this path," Jesse grumbled, pushing open the old, creaky door to the station. His face turned red from the effort, and you couldn't help but giggle. "Stop crying like a baby. Let's sign in and leave," you said, walking toward the desk on the opposite side of the room. As you approached, you noticed that a pen was missing. Without it, you obviously couldn't sign in.
"Jesse, there's no pen," you called out, looking at your friend. "Really? Look under the table or something. We'll find one," he replied. You followed his suggestion, getting down on your knees. Spiderwebs greeted you, along with the encroaching dusk. You pulled out your flashlight, shining it underneath the table for a better look. And there it was—an old, leather-covered book. You'd recognize that book spine anywhere, even in the grandest libraries.
You picked it up, wiping away the dust that clung to its material. The thickness of the journal reminded you of what you were holding—a door to Ellie Williams' secrets and mindful thoughts. "Found one!" Jesse's voice snapped you out of your reverie. You turned around, hiding the journal behind your back. Jesse joined you, writing your names on the slim paper of the checklist. ‘Partner in crimes ( Jesse and y/n)’
"Did you find anything? The book, I mean. It's not somewhere I looked," Jesse asked. You shook your head, slipping the journal into your bag without it being noticed. "Nope, didn't find it either."
''Every poem I ever wrote was about her. That smile of hers, those golden eyes—whenever she's too close to the sun, it's impossible for me to stay away. The day I left, my heart shattered into a million pieces. In my head, inside my perfect self-made world, she never left me. All my thoughts revolve around her—the memories etched into my mind. Her touch, so soft—I never wanted to let go. The scent of her clothes, stealing my breath away. The nights we spent dreaming together, the minutes I never want to regret. I never dared to imagine a lifetime without her. Yet here I am, writing these words with a hole in my chest. I'm bleeding out, the wind kissing my mind, refreshing memories of letting go. The silence surrounds me, a reminder to hold on.
I search the past for redemption, but it eludes me. The only thing left of me are broken pieces of her.”
The words were carefully etched onto the paper, making it hard for you to breathe. You hadn't intended to overstep her privacy—why had you taken that journal in the first place? You dont know.  But here you were, sitting with the book in hand, the only light in the living room emanating from the countless candles you'd lit.
The journal looked thicker than usual, and that's what caught your attention first. You knew that book well, even though you'd never seen what she put inside—except for her drawings of animals, Joel, Dina, and you. She'd never shown anyone what she wrote between the pages.
The reason you'd decided to open the book, against all your inner morals, was the fact that as you carefully pulled it out of your bag—treating it like fragile glass—multiple letters fell out. You noticed them right away. They were yours—carefully written letters she'd never dared to answer. The envelopes ripped open showed you she defenetly read them all. You dont know how to feel about that yet. Relieved that she cared enough to read them? Happy becasue she carried your letters with her, doesnt matter where shed go? Or mad, because she never replied? You know nothing. The only thing you're able to do now is bury yourself in the book, reading what Ellie never dared to say out loud.
''Ive been having a hard time adjusting, I had the shiniest wheels, now they're rusting. I didn't know if you'd care if I came back, I have a lot of regrets about that. Pulled the car off the road to the lookout, Could've followed my fears all the way down. And maybe I don't quite know what to say but I'm here in your doorway. I just wanted you to know that this is me trying''
The words cut deeper than a knife,
before you knew it, your eyes traveled to the next phrases, crossed out, you could barely read them:
"It's hard to be anywhere these days when all I want is you.
Seeing you with Sophie burns me from inside out.
Why are you with her?
I know I don't own you, perhaps I never will,
so the anger inside of me when I see you with her
is something I'm not allowed to feel.
What I feel, I shouldn't show you.
So when you're around, I don't.
I let you walk away with her.
I know I don't have the right to feel it,
but it doesn't mean I don't."
The rest of the book was empty, besides some skteches of eyes that look dangerously like yours. You swallowed hard, not really sure of what you should feel. You re-read the sentences out loud, letting the bittersweet aftertaste of them making you feel alive. Your heart has been Ellies since the first time you both laughed together; yet you were so sure of the fact that she would never feel the same. Considering the words in the journal, maybe it wasnt one sided after all. Youre confused, being with Sophia was easy, comftable. But with ellie, it was different. better. You miss the butterflies in your stomach, miss her touch and her closeness. The rollercoster was everything you ever had, after all.
Two days of full selfishness carried its weight, and you continued to keep the journal. The guilt crept in, stealthy as shadows, finding you at night, when the world slept and your thoughts roamed free. Those written pages from Ellie, inked with longing and crossed-out confessions, haunted your mind. You tried your best to hide the pain, a fragile masquerade. Distancing yourself from Sophia and Jesse, you walked the tightrope of deception. It wasn't deliberate; it was survival. The what-could've-been danced like a ghost, whispering secrets in your ear. You wondered if Ellie's heart echoed the same unspoken words.
Sophia, her presence a comforting harbor, yet her touch felt like borrowed warmth. And Jesse, his eyes— The guilt gnawed at you, a relentless hunger. You held Sophia too close, fearing Ellie's phantom gaze. You looked into Jesse's eyes, and the lie about keeping the Journal tasted bitter on your tongue.  Ellie, elusive as a wisp of smoke. The barn encounter—the air thick with unspoken truths—left you breathless. You havent seen her since. You called in sick for the patrol meeting, a desperate escape from the inevitable. The fear of facing her again, of unraveling the fragile equilibrium, gripped your heart.
In the quiet of your room, the journal lay open. The crossed-out phrases, the sketches of eyes—they were your silent companions.
——————————————————-
"Okay, Miss being all sad and distant, I'm not having this anymore. Tell me what's going on right now or I'm killing you," Jesse declared, pressing past you as you opened the door. His urgency hung in the air, a storm brewing behind his eyes.
"Jesus, very aggressive today, aren't we?" you quipped, trailing after your friend into the living room. The door closed behind you, sealing you both in a cocoon of tension. You sank into the couch, and Jesse settled next to you, his gaze drilling holes into your soul."Therapy session. Now. What's going on?" His hands clasped together, a makeshift gavel. The room felt smaller, suffocating. You glanced at the coffee table, considering the whiskey bottle, but thought better of it. "Nothing? Do you want to drink anything... or?" Your voice played innocent, a fragile mask. Jesse wasn't fooled. "The jury says stop trying to change the subject." His tone held a mix of exasperation and concern."The jury...?" You grinned, despite the weight in your chest. "Yeah, me." Jesse's eyes softened, and you chuckled. "It's nothing, really.“
"You're completely distant," he said, his voice calm. "Even Sophia asked me if I have any idea what's going on." The truth hung between you like a fragile thread, ready to snap.
"I don't know... it's, urgh, weird." You fidgeted with the edge of a cushion. Jesse leaned closer, his breath warm against your cheek. "Tell me!" His insistence bordered on desperation
"Okay, but promise me not to hate me?" You gave him a side-eye, afraid of meeting his gaze head-on. "Could never hate you," he replied, and the words carried weight. So you spilled it—the secret you'd harbored, the journal you'd found.
Ellie's words, inked and crossed out, danced in your memory. You didn't reveal the exact phrasing, but you shared the confusion—the way her emotions bled through the pages. Jesse listened, his eyes wide, and you wondered if he saw the echoes of your own heartache.
In that quiet room, the truth hung heavy. You'd kept Ellie's words hidden, but now they spilled forth. Jesse's hand found yours, and you clung to it, hoping for absolution. "It's Ellie," you whispered. "It's always been Ellie."  His silence spoke volumes, eyes carrying the weight of unspoken understanding. He'd always sensed your feelings for Ellie, perhaps even before you did. It wasn't a secret to anyone but her—the way your heart gravitated toward her, like a moth drawn to a flame. “You guys need to talk.” Jesse said.
"I can't," you whispered, the words fragile on your tongue. The weight of unspoken truths pressed against your chest, threatening to spill forth."And why the fuck not? What do you have to lose?" Jesse's voice held a mix of frustration and concern. He saw through your defenses, stripped away the layers you'd carefully woven. Ellie—the enigma, the ache—loomed between you like a shadow."Afraid of losing her? I think you already archived that." His bluntness cut through your heart. You knew it too well—the missed chances, the crossed-out phrases, the silence that echoed louder than words. Jesse could see the pain in you and the bluntless paired with that slight tinge of what appeared to be anger slowly disappeared into thin air, much like the smoke of a lit cigarette blown into the night sky.
"Look" he begins, sighing while he considers the phrasing of this. He means no harm, but being too gentle could erase the importance of the situation "I want to help you, but you cannot hide yourself away. If you truly want this girl, you need to be able to put in the effort. Dina and Ellie arent dating either, dina told me herself that the two of them thought there was something but ended up with nothing. Be honest with yourself, but also with everyone else" You exhale deeply, relief floods your system despite the heavy heart still pounding against your chest.
Jesse is the kind of friend you can never let go. He's just that important.
Between the soft tunes of comfortingly familiar songs and a few shed tears, the two of you scheme together... Creating a, hopefully, foolproof plan on how to finally approach the elephant in the room. Ellie and you; it wasn't over, was it?
Part one
——————————————-
After leaving your hotel room that night, Max went back to the family house. He, of course, told your guy's mother everything that happened. And Max was even more upset after learning Kelly knew before him. However, Max was hurt above all else.
“She said…” Max paused, not wanting to believe that you meant what you said, “I’m not her real brother.” Your guy’s mom, Sophie couldn’t help but laugh, “mom, it really hurt my feelings.” Max was in disbelief that his mom would laugh at the situation.
“I’m sorry my boy, but this is your own karma,” Sophie giggled.
“What do you mean by my own karma?”
“Do you not remember when you were first starting out in formula 3, your sister wanted to follow you to every race, and you told her she isn’t actually family, and only family is allowed,” Sophie looked at her son.
“Yeah but I was…”
“You were angry, because of how your father was acting, just how your sister is angry with how you’re acting.” Sophie spoke, cutting her son off. “She doesn’t mean it, she knows you’re her real brother in every way that matters, and Victoria is her sister, I’m her mom, and Jos is her father.”
“It really hurt my feelings that she said that,” Max said, still deeply hurt by your words.
“She knows, that’s why she didn’t come home. She’s not here right now, to give you space, because she knows she hurt your feelings.”
“She can come home, I will go.” Max said, wanting you to have a place to run to like he did.
“You’re gonna leave Tuesday night for Monza anyway, your sister will come home when she’s comfortable. Enough worrying about her, she’s a big girl.”
“Mom, you don’t think I was wrong for being upset right?” Max asked as Sophie began to leave him with his thoughts.
“She knows you’re just looking out for her,” Sophie said as she pulled her son into a hug, Sophie pulled away looking at her son, “but she’s a big girl now, she’s not that little girl who just lost her parents. Let her finish growing up Maxie.”
-
You had texted your mom that you left Zandvoort, and was heading to Germany, home to your birth parents. Your mom wished you a safe flight and she thanked you for letting her know.
Mom: Max wants to know where you are.
Mom: I didn’t tell him anything, just text me when you land and when you get to the hotel so I know you’re safe.
You: I will mom, I love you mom <3
Mom: I love you too sweetheart
You shut off your phone, heading into the airport. You wanted to forget about tonight, even if it was just for a few hours.
-
Charles didn’t get a chance to stay in Zandvoort, as soon as it was Monday morning, he was on a plane to Milan. Charles didn’t really mind, he was hoping that the celebration of the 75 years of Ferrari would be enough to occupy his mind, instead of you. For the most part it worked.
Only when the day was over, and he was laying in bed alone, did he start to think of you again. The way you would talk about your day. How you would play with the rings he wore, when you’re cuddled into his side. The way your smile for him was bigger than your normal smile for everyone else. How you made sure you added subtle hints of red into your outfit to cheer him on.
He was missing you more than he had ever missed anyone before. He couldn’t get you out of his mind, that you had started to appear in his dreams. When Wednesday finally rolled around, Charles couldn’t take it anymore. Any free moment he got, he spent calling and texting you.
Mon Cherie <3 42 calls
Charles: can we talk pls
Charles: y/n just answer your phone
Charles: I’m sorry I got angry with you, you didn’t deserve it
Charles: pls talk to me, answer the phone
Charles: I just finished my meeting, I want to hear your voice
Charles: y/n please
Charles: can you at least let me know you’re safe right now
Charles: you’re worrying me dear
Charles: I need to get over to Monza right now
Charles: Maybe we can talk this weekend
Charles: call me pls
Charles: at least tell me you’re okay, we don’t need to talk about us, I just want to know that you’re okay
Charles was clearly frustrated by the end of the day, at your lack of a response.
“Mate you alright?” Carlos asked, clearly worried about his teammate.
“It’s y/n,” Charles sighed.
“I thought you were done with her,” Carlos said, taken aback by the mention of your name
“I thought I was too, I don’t know man, she did something to me,” Charles sighed once more. He knew from the first night with you that he was never gonna be able to leave you. He was yours from that very first moment together.
“What happened?” Carlos asked cautiously
“We got into an argument about Max, and I said something that I don’t mean. And since then I have gotten radio silence from her.”
“Well you have to see her this weekend right?”
“I’m hoping,” Charles said, thinking that you’re gonna be in Monza with your brother.
-
When Max finally arrived at the paddock on Thursday for practice, he tried to act normal but the rumors already started. He could hear the little clicks of the camera catching him arriving, alone. He could hear the little whispers being made, he saw the confused faces.
“Where is she?”
“He always arrives with her,”
“Did she come in separately?”
“Are they fighting?”
“Did anyone catch her arriving alone?”
“Where is y/n?”
Max ignored everyone and headed straight to the Redbull hospitality room. However, even there, he wasn’t safe.
“Mate,” Christian called out to his favorite driver, “where’s y/n?” Christian’s face turned confused, not seeing you by Max’s side.
“I’m the one driving, why would anyone fucking care where my sister is?”
“Okay, relax,” Christian taken aback by the sudden snap in emotions from Max. Christian thought Max was becoming more level headed now, “she’s just always with you during race weekends. Sibling fight?”
Max took a deep breath knowing he couldn’t possibly pretend that everything was alright, when he has heard from you in days. “Something like that, honestly I can’t worry about it now.”
-
The next day, Max arrived at the paddock, not alone, but not with you. Victoria was by his side today, however that didn’t stop the rumors. Max actually did an excellent job avoiding the rumors and whispers and questions. Victoria also stuck by Max’s side like you would normally do during the weekend.
That was until the media pen, and most of the reporters didn’t really care enough to ask where you were. Majority being more focused to ask about the championship. Then just as Max was almost done. After the reporter asked the initial question, then they asked, “where is y/n by the way, I see you have Victoria by your side this weekend instead of your other sister.”
Max gritted his teeth, not having the correct answer to the question, “Y/n, took a couple days off, she’s resting right now.”
“Didn’t we just have summer break, three weeks not enough vacation for her, some women,” the reporter meant it as a joke, but of course Max didn’t take it that way. Neither did Victoria.
“Our sister’s personal life is none of your concern. That was a very rude statement you just made,” Victoria spoke up, as she pushed Max along, knowing that he would’ve taken it further.
As Max and Victoria walked back to the Redbull, “thank you,” Max whispered to Victoria.
“Of course,” Victoria responded. The two continued to walk back to the hospitality room, but before they made it. Charles stopped them.
“Max,” Charles said, almost out of breath, “where is y/n?”
“Why are you asking me?” Max looked at Charles confused.
“I thought she was with you,” Charles said, looking more confused.
“I thought she was with you,” Max said, now completely lost, “where the fuck is my sister Leclerc?”
“We got into a fight last Sunday, I haven’t heard anything from her since then.”
“Do you know where she is?” Max asked, turning to Victoria.
Victoria took a breath, “yes.”
“Where?” Both Max and Charles asked in unison, Victoria laughed at the two of them, shaking her head.
“She’s fine, and she’s safe, there’s nothing either of you can do about where she is right now. Both of you have other priorities at the moment.” Victoria said, shaking her head.
“Max,” Charles said, “I like your sister a lot. I want something more than just a fling with her.”
“We’re talking about my sister Charles, not just some girl you met at a party.”
“I wouldn’t do anything to intentionally hurt her, Max,” Charles argued.
“Yeah, then where is she?” Max asked, leaving Charles in the sun.
-
According to Victoria you were safe, and fine. That’s the only piece of knowledge that kept Charles sane the rest of the weekend. Everyone could tell Charles was out of it, and they all suspected it was because you weren’t there.
“You alright Charles?” Pierre asked his friend.
“I’m perfectly fine Pierre,” Charles said in semi-sarcastic tone.
“Y/n isn’t here this weekend,” Pierre sighed, knowing it was because of you that Charles wasn’t really focused.
“Yeah,” Charles sighed sin a monotone voice, “but she’s safe and that’s all that matters.” After the short exchange Charles walked back to the Ferrari motorhome, not really wanting to talk to anyone.
Pierre on the other hand couldn’t handle his best mate being out of it this bad. And Pierre wasn’t the type to just sit back and do nothing, especially when he was the one that ‘set you guys up.’
-
While you sat in your cushy hotel room watching the Monza qualifying take place, you got a call from none other than Pierre. The first call you sent straight to voice mail, not wanting to talk, especially about Charles. Which you were sure, is exactly Who Pierre wanted to talk about.
Pierre: I know you’re watching the qualfying right now, answer your phone
Then came the second call, which you sent to voicemail again.
Pierre: y/n, I know you didn’t miss qualfying pick up the damn phone.
You sent the third call to voicemail again.
Pierre: If you don’t answer my next call, I’m gonna be forced to tell Charles about the night in Barcelona.
He wouldn’t, you thought to yourself, as you remembered your drunken rant to Pierre about how Charles was leaving you more sore then when he got you.
Pierre: don’t try it, y/n
When the fourth call came in, you answered right away. You stayed silent waiting for Pierre to say something.
“When are you getting here?” Pierre asked, he sounded so sure that you were gonna be there.
“I’m not going to Monza, Pierre.”
“Your brother is racing this weekend,” Pierre started off.
“I’m fully aware of my brother's commitments this weekend, Pierre.”
“When are you getting here?”
You sighed, “Pierre, I’m really not going.”
“Come to Monza, you’ll feel worse if you don’t come,” Pierre said.
“How do you know I’ll feel worse?” You scoffed.
“Y/n,” Pierre sighed.
“Max is so mad at me, Pierre,” you felt yourself getting choked up, reliving your argument with Max, “and Charles, he just had the worst timing.”
“Come to Monza, it’ll make you feel better if you work it out in person.”
“Okay,” you finally agreed.
-
You were set to arrive in Monza, on Sunday morning. You should have enough time to get to the paddock just before the start of the race. You knew you wouldn’t have enough time to work everything out with Max or Charles before the race, but you would be there when they crossed the finish line.
Your heart was pounding against your chest the entire flight. You couldn’t manage to sit still your mind racing with a million and one thoughts of what to say. You didn’t want to make things more worse than they already were. You didn’t even know if you really wanted to fix things with Charles.
Max might be right about this, that you shouldn’t date Charles or a fellow driver in general. Maybe it was best the two of you pretend nothing ever happened. It seemed a lot better to do that, than try to work through whatever happened between you guys. Maybe Charles was only meant to be a one night stand. Maybe this was suppose to never happen and you’re just going against nature. Maybe there is a grand plan that you’re just not following.
Wen the plane finally landed, you caught the first taxi to drive you down to the race track. You hated the fact that you had your luggage with you and you walked to the Redbull motorhome. You quickly found Max’s room, leaving all your stuff in there. You took a peak at yourself in the mirror, and suddenly the thought of Charles seeing you like this was more terrifying than apologizing to Max.
You knew Max was already on the track, getting ready to start the formation lap, so you pulled out one of your best outfits. Deciding that it was better to wear a mutual white color, instead of too much red or too much blue. You fixed your makeup, redid your hair and now your heart was racing again for a different reason.
The thought of Charles, seeing him in that god awful yellow, and being there for him, had you bouncing with excitement. Being back in his arms, feeling his kisses, celebrating his accomplishments. Everything about Charles excited you. Charles was so right for you, that you don’t want him to be just a fling, just a one night stand, just a little fun. Charles was so much more than that to you, and he deserved so much more than that.
When you finally made it to garage to watch the race you quickly found Kelly and Victoria.
“I knew you’d make it,” Kelly whispered as she held you tight.
“He’s not that angry with you,” Victoria said as she pulled you close.
“He should be, I shouldn’t have said that to him,” you argued.
“He’s just worried about you, he’ll feel a lot better when he sees you.” Victoria said with a smile. Victoria was always the peacemaker in the family, not wanting anyone to be angry with anyone else.
-
Charles spotted you the minute he walked out to the stage. He couldn’t miss you, in the crowd with the Redbull people, standing in between Kelly and Victoria. He wanted to call out to you, he wanted to race off that podium to you. But you weren’t even looking at him, too busy in your conversation with Kelly. He felt his heart break a little when they announced his name and you still didn’t look up.
Charles smiled for the pictures, he sprayed the champagne, he basked in the praise from the Tifosi, but it was all fake. None of it mattered, if you weren’t happy for him too.
-
After the podium, after the celebration, when the quiet finally set in, did you finally get to make things right.
“Congratulations, brother,” you said, as Max pulled you into a tight hug. You felt yourself beginning to cry, “I’m so sorry Max… I don’t… I don’t feel that way, you’re my brother, you’re…”
“I know,” Max smiled to himself, pulling away, “I’m just glad you’re safe, and you’re okay now. You’re always gonna be my baby sister, no matter what you or anyone else say.”
You nodded your head, wiping away the tears. “So dramatic the two of you,” Victoria scoffed, causing both you and Max to laugh. “I want it to be known that I have never told either one of you that you weren’t family,” VIctoria added.
You guys began to walk back to the hospitality room, to gather your things before heading to the hotel for dinner. When Max suddenly stopped.
“What’s wrong baby?” Kelly asked Max. Max didn’t answer, instead turning back around heading towards the Ferrari motorhome.
“Max,” you called out, confused by his actions, as you, Victoria and Kelly followed after him.
Max made his way through the motorhome, before he finally found Charles' room. He then turned to you and said, “you're an adult, you should date whoever you want regardless of my feelings.” Max then turned back to face the door, knocking, before leaving with Victoria and Kelly en-suite.
You vaguely heard Victoria ask, “does that mean I can date fellow drivers too now?”
-
Charles heard the knocking on the door, and for a good second he debated on pretending he wasn’t in. Ultimately deciding against it, he dragged his feet to open the door. Already thinking of a million and one excuses to turn the person on the other side away. That when he opened the door to see you there, while Max, Victoria, and Kelly quickly walked away, he was left speechless.
“Hi,” was all he could manage.
-
Charles opened the door, still in his race suit, that was tied around his waist. The black fireproofs hugging his body in all the right places. His hair out of place from being in the helmet for the past hour and a half, traces of sweat still dripping down the side of his head.
“Hi,” was all he said, but it was enough to have you weak in the knees.
“Hi,” was all you could say back.
Charles stepped out of the way to let you. You walked in looking around the room, like you haven’t seen it a million and one times before. You knew exactly what you wanted to tell Charles, you were just completely lost on how to word it.
“Um,” Charles broke the silence first. You were always so grateful that he always took the lead. He always made the first move. He was the one putting himself out there. You didn’t even think that maybe it was time for you to put yourself out there and make the first move. “Where have you been?”
“Germany,” you answered. Charles nodded his head at your answer, not asking for an elaboration, or a reason as to why you were in Germany. The room fell silent, you kept telling yourself to just blurt it out. Just say the first thing that comes to mind. Just open your mouth and the words will come out. That’s exactly what you did. You opened your mouth and the words poured out of you with no thought behind it.
“Charles, I didn’t mean it when I said we were done, I really like you, and I want this to be more than just a fling, or a little bit of fun, or friends with benefits, which in all honestly we never really explicitly said that this was a friends with benefits relationship, I think it was just more assumed , and that we both assumed that all we wanted, so I don’t think you can fully blame me for what happened, because you could’ve always made the move and asked for a more serious or exclusie relationship, not that it wasn’t exclusive, I mean I wasn’t seeing anyone when I was seeing you, and if you were seeing someone else when you were seeing me it’s comepletely fine, because, well I mean its not completely fine, I don’t like the thought of you with someone else while you were seeing me, but like I was saying earlier we never explicitly said we were exclusive but at the same time we never said we were friends with benefits, so if anything it would be really messed up on your part if you were seeing someone else because it was never made clear what type of relationship this was, but I want to make it clear that I want a serious, exclusie, real relationship, preferably with you, but if you don’t want this then I understand, I can’t say I woudn’t be hurt be I get it… I mean,”
Charles cut you off, placing his hands on your cheeks, his smile wider than the one on the podium, that little sparkle of hope in his eyes. He looked at you with so much love, it had your cheeks flaring up. “Are you done, mon amour?”
Mon amour, my love, that’s the first time he ever used that nickname for you.
You nodded your head, not wanting to risk losing the feeling of Charles hands on your cheeks. “I want a serious, exclusive, real relationship with you,” Charles said, as he pulled you into a kiss. You had to control yourself to stop smiling into the kiss.
You pulled away first, “you’re serious, like you’re not messing with me right now, like you want to be in an actual boyfriend-girlfriend relationship?”
Charles laughed, his smile so wide that you can’t even recall the last time seeing him this happy, “yes, I’m serious mon amor.”
“And you’re not just saying it to make me stay right?”
“Y/n, will you be my girlfriend, exclusively, my girlfriend?” Charles asked, wrapping his arms around your waist, pulling you close towards him.
You finally let your mind and heart settle, “yes.”
-
Back home in Monaco, things were mostly back to normal. Max and Kelly were enjoying breakfast in the kitchen, while Penelope and you were still sleeping the morning away.
“Feel better, baby?” Kelly asked Max, watching a content smile spread on his face.
“Yeah, everything is how it’s suppose to be,” Max said. Just then your bedroom door could be heard opening, “finally you’re up for breakfast,” Max said not looking who was walking through the door.
“Awh mate you made me breakfast,” Charles said, hands over heart.
“Good morning,” you said standing behind Charles, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes.
“He’s not allowed to sleep over y/n,” Max said crossing his arms.
“That’s fine, I’ll just sleep at his place,” you teased back, knowing Max wouldn’t like that either. Kelly laughed at your remark.
“Leave the children be Maxie,” Kelly said.
“Yeah, leave us be, Maxie,” Charles teased further, while you and Kelly bursted out into a fit of giggles.
“Come sit down for breakfast,” Kelly said, beckoning you and Charles over to the table. The four of you guys are sitting down and enjoying breakfast together before going about the rest of the day. At the table you silently mouthed a thank you to Max, to which he just nodded back. Your heart is feeling more at ease now.
WIP Wednesday 4/3/24 (Closed) | Surely
He listens to Andrew's breathing and knows that based on how he's breathing he's still down deep. Neil wonders what exactly had woken him up but figures it might just be the anxiety the memories of his first trip to Europe brought him. He brought a hand up to his chest to where the bullet hole was.
He focuses on Andrew's warmth at his back and the knowledge that everyone who had been hunting him in Europe was now dead or soon to be dead. He closes his eyes and focuses on how far Andrew has come for them to have this. It wasn't without it's pitfalls, but Neil could hardly regret the additional small scar or two he had from Andrew's panic.
He lets himself relax back into Andrew's chest and can't help but smile as Andrew unconsciously pulls him closer.
