there was a discussion in the friends at the table discord over what seasons are good for onboarding new people and someone mentioned that it can be a hard rec because it's so long and it scares people off. meanwhile i came from critical role which means a backlog can never possibly be intimidating for me ever again until i die.

anyway i got curious so i made some bar graphs. thank u critrolestats and @weirdpine (post here) for aggregating this data.

so anyway. my findings are, critters, would you like to enjoy a piece of media that will give you much more free time but is still ridiculously, absurdly long to the average non-ap consumer? start with marielda.

The Kanagawa wedding was a distant memory then; Croesus had beaten the shit out of him for only saving half of Cecil and the only friend he had left in that family was Cassandra, who he barely spoke to. Juno was as happy as he could be, he was engaged, and he was working his way through the ranks of the HCPD, all the way to DI.

The way it fell apart was so quick, so like dominoes falling, that Juno felt he had a right to think that it all had been scripted in order to put him in the right state of mind when Min came knocking on his door to tell him Croesus was dead.

All this stuff happening in the fandom lately has got me thinking, and I really want to support poc who write and make art in the DA fandom, and I'm pretty ashamed at the fact that I don't follow much of them and I should change that. Do you have any creators you can recommend?

The fandom drama has caused me to think a lot about this as well. As I have been scouring the list of people I follow, I noticed a shameful scarcity of creators of color that I follow and support and I need to do better myself.  I have a brief list of people I follow who I know to be POC creators ( I am linking their blogs rather than tagging them so they aren’t annoyed by a bunch of unnecessary notifications).  I hope that other tumblrs will be able to provide more recommendations for both of us! - laskulls makes some kick ass, vibrant, detailed artwork

- crystal-grace is an amazing artist AND an amazing writer with some of the BEST OCs

- cullenvhenan posts some beautiful artwork and has some really interesting headcanons, drabbles, and meta

- crisontumblr writes some really wonderful tabristair fanfiction, and is just an all around awesome person 

- dalishious has lots of good art, lots of spot-on, perfect, wonderful meta, and no tolerance for fandom bs

- brialalavellan has some impressive writing and meta, too!

- bunabi is another badass artist who makes some really lovely pieces 

- eazzy–pink ,as it says in the about me section, is “an occasional fanfic writer” and “not here for white bullshit.” Excellent person to follow!

- blacktabris is on a hiatus right now, but when she’s around she writes some good fanfiction

- weirdpine does some really amazing artwork that can be found on her [art blog], and some really cool meta stuff that can be found on her [dragon age blog]
