Hiiii! For the WIP game, would you elaborate on the "SW - ER Nurse AU" for me? Either more explanation or some content from it is fine! :)
Ok so I got inspired when I was trying to keep my mind entertained while waiting for 6 hours in the Emergency Department with my phone battery dead, and there was a cute nurse, and well...
Once I started developing the broader story and building the world around that, I kept getting more ideas for how to incorporate stuff and well, it's starting to get a bit out of hand lol. But so far it's like a political/criminal conspiracy, feat. Rexoka, Anidala, (maybe Codywan &/or former Obitine?)
Rex, and I'm thinking also Cody and Wolffe, work in a major hospital in Coruscant City (and Rex in the Emergency Department as a nurse, "on the front lines," so to speak). I'm guessing it'd be a "family occupation" type of thing where many of his brothers followed in their dad's footsteps in various pathways of the medical field, maybe some of them being army medics, first? (Echo and Fives decided to take different job/life paths, but that'll come up within the story later.) I'm picturing them as like siblings close in age or quintuplets? Bc why not lol. And w/ Jango Fett as like super distant career-focused dad.
Anakin and Ahsoka do some kind of like dangerous and hush-hush work that will incorporate with the plot. Several years ago, at her entry into adulthood Ahsoka joined the military (for reasons to get explained), a few years after Anakin joined, too, (for him to get citizenship- Shmi immigrated when Anakin was young, Qui Gon (and his son Obi Wan) were their neighbors, and he adopted Anakin after Shmi got deported.) There was an incident a few years in, she was falsely accused, court martialed, etc. (also, her and Rex's paths crossed in a way that gets revealed later.) Anakin cleared her name, but both of them got out as soon as they could, remained besties trying to figure out careers and adulthood. Ahsoka is kinda like burnt out and directionless after the trauma of everything that happened. (Both of them are having kind of a mid-20s crisis tbh) Anakin has a major crush on Padme, youngest member of the City Council.
The story starts when Anakin (carrying Ahsoka) hobbles into the ER, and Rex is the nurse assigned to her, which is the initial meet-cute and they vibe. (Well, except Rex is too professional to *actually* flirt with a patient because professional boundaries.) Her name seems familiar to him, but he can't quite place it (yet)... But of course this won't be the first time everyone will cross paths…

SECOND BATCH AUTHOR REVEALS ❤️‍🔥
• A song to keep us warm by nakintups (sputnikan)
Dyad AU.
Obi-Wan Kenobi was renounced by Qui-Gon Jinn after the battle on Naboo and had chosen to leave the Order.
Anakin gets to be Qui-Gon's new padawan instead.
Years later, Obi-Wan resurfaces again, on the battle of Geonosis, as a Sith Lord.
Shortly after that Anakin begins to have visions of him, the Force somehow connecting them and Anakin is forced to confront the man who might have been his older brother his friend but now turned his enemy.
DW: Sort of Reylo Force connection vibes, with Anakin being angry and guarded, while Obi-Wan is curious and calm. Maybe they slowly learning about each other.
DNW: Major Character Death, Unhappy Ending, Anidala (could be in passing but ultimately obikin is the soulmate endgame)
• 'eat your young' by DeanSWade
Sith Lord Kenobi and his acolyte Skywalker have a grueling training session.
DW: sexual tension, sweaty bodies, bloody sparring relationship might be established or not.
DNW: go crazy! no limits
• i'll help you fall down with me by zombiekatherine
Rako Hardeen Arc (or a similar style mission), but rather than faking his death, Obi-Wan fakes a fall to the Dark Side for the mission. In his distress, Anakin falls (for real) and follows after his Master to find and rejoin with him.
DWs: Angst, Established relationship for obikin, Dubcon or noncon when Vaderkin finds out Obi-Wan was faking his fall
DNWs: piss, scat, vomit, mpreg, heavy pet play, major character death
• I would burn the stars to protect you by Himilce
Whump with sith Obi-Wan + jedi anakin.
They haven't known each other for long but actually long enough for them both to develop feelings to each other despite their differences. The context on how they meet is up to you. It can be because of a mission the council assigned to Anakin, but yeah you decide.
One day Anakin gets seriously injured by one of Lord Kenobi's inquisitors. Obi-Wan goes feral and fully in protective boyfriend mode (The guilty inquisitor is immediately killed of course).
DW: The more angsty and whumpie the better!, Blood loss injury
DNW: major character's death (it can be temporary tho), smut
• Disintegration by CourtesyTrefflin
ROTS AU where Obi-Wan Falls instead of Anakin
• flesh amnesiac by innominatta (acrylicsalt)
Reverse AU + AU where (suitless) Vader and Anakin are twins
Master Anakin and Padawan Obi-Wan are on a mission when they get separated (either by accident or evil plans, your choice) and Vader finds Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan thinks that Vader is Anakin and Vader has no issues with playing along with it when Obi-Wan starts to come on to him.
Bonus points if Anakin finds out that Vader fucked Obi-Wan somehow and gets really jealous/possessive.
Your choice if Obi-Wan ever finds out.
DW: Established relationship between Anakin & Obi-Wan, dub/non con due to identity issues, "thank god you're alive" sex, Vader being rougher in sex than Obi-Wan is used to, jealous/possessive!Anakin
• i've done dark things (in these shadows) by apagetorn
Obi-Wan as a Sith apprentice of Dooku and is Dooku's chosen heir but seeing as Dooku is just from a part from an external branch from the Bane line of Sith, his line of Sith Lordship isn't well liked or favored by either the wide known Sith Empire or Sidious himself (the current Sith emperor).
Because of this, Dooku cautions his apprentice to hide his talent so others will not know their plan to overthrow Palpatine, so they can usurp the throne and establish Obi-Wan as the new Emperor.
Palpatine's chosen is Anakin and the moment Anakin and Obi-Wan meet, Anakin knew he wanted Obi-Wan for himself, cue dangerous flirting game and Obi-Wan trying to navigate having both Anakin and Palpatine's attention on his back.
DW: Bottom Obi-Wan Kenobi, Top Anakin Skywalker, Kinks of all kinds, Gore, dead Dove, it doesn't matter, anything goes.
DNW: Top Obi-Wan Kenobi, Bottom Anakin Skywalker, Major Character Death (Only Anakin and Obi-Wan, if others, it's fine idc)

Cy's 2023 Fic Replay - Track 9
I am very sorry, but this is continuing ...
track 9: Let's Hurt Tonight - One Republic
I'm pretty sure I found this song just this year through Spotify and from the moment I did it went to the top of the playlist for the modern obidala 'padme lives' AU that I've been working on off and on for the past year.
fic: wires
[obidala, anidala | modern-au | padme lives]
This fic has lived in my head for almost as long as Unintended has. I mean honestly, are you really an obidala author if you don't have at least one 'padme lives' au swimming around in your head? And while I adore all the gentle domestic 'obidala helping each other heal after Anakin' AUs, this is not that. After watching OWK, I really really wanted to just let them swim around in that mutual self-hatred for awhile. So Wires is where I get to do that
Which is probably why this song fits so well. Because really could anything say more clearly "I enjoy watching two characters I care deeply about tear great gaping chunks out of each other" more than this song. Particularly this part:
I'll hit the lights and you lock the doors Tell me all of the things that you couldn't before Don't walk away, don't roll your eyes They say love is pain, well darling, let's hurt tonight
I worked on it quite a bit for PadMay, and it expanded out into a non-linear character exploration of Padme and her relationship with both Anakin and Obi-Wan. And while I haven't managed to finish it, it's got some wonderfully dark and raw bits that I can't help but want to share, so indulge me:
SPOILER WARNING
“I am not testifying against Anakin.  I told you that.” “No one’s asking you to.  My testimony should be enough for them to–”  “To what?  Lock him up?  Let him rot in prison?  You know what things would be like for him in there.  Is that really what you want?” “He’s dangerous, Padme.  His being in a wheelchair doesn’t change that.” “Says the man who put him there.  What are you trying to do?  Finish the job?” He jerks his head away.   Padme falls back against the bed. “Maybe we should talk about this when you’ve gotten some sleep.” Like that’s going to happen.  “Why?  I’m not going to be any less of a bitch about it then.” “Then maybe we should talk when I’ve gotten some sleep.” Of course.  This is how all their other fights end.  She says something completely unforgivable, and he…doesn’t.  Either retreating or calling a truce for the kids or distracting her in other ways he finds effective, but never never actually returning fire.  And she knows that control, that ability to keep himself distanced enough, detached enough to never let his emotions get the better of him, is what kept him alive for all those years undercover.  But god if she doesn’t hate it.   Just once she wishes he would fight back.  Just say it.  All of it.  Every why didn’t you and you should have and this is your fault  she knows he’s been carrying around in his back pockets. She knows they’re there.  She can see in his eyes, feel it in his touch.  She doesn’t understand why he won’t just say it.  What’s holding him back.  If he would just say it, just blame her, accuse her, something, anything, then she could at least mount some kind of defense, build a case, explain herself.  But if once, just once, he would fight back, beat her up a little, then maybe she could finally stop doing it to herself. Padme stares up at the ceiling and doesn’t say anything. Obi-Wan turns to go. “I’ll never forgive you.  If you do this, I’ll never forgive you for it.” He stops, back still turned.  “I’m not asking you to.” No.  No he’s not.  He never has.  As if he knows she used up all her forgiveness on Anakin ages ago, and doesn’t have any left.  For either of them.

After reading metas, how can you marry someone after they massacre people? And this isn't about having compassion or believing their capable of goodness, I think that's great, but to marry them and technically, cover it up? Maybe I'm talking to the wrong person about this, since you ship anidala, but still it just confuses me so much.
Hello! :) (Sorry, I don't know if you're the same anon, lol)
I would describe myself as someone who greatly appreciates the love story of Lucas second trilogy, as a tale of a doomed relationship of star-crossed lovers, so maybe "ships anidala" is accurate. But to be honest, I differentiate between loving the narrative that George Lucas was telling, and being emotionally invested in their fictional relationship per se. So maybe it's not that accurate.
Regarding your question, I believe this is a very sensitive topic. I think there are two things to consider:
Scale-of-justice view vs. Continuum view
I think it ultimately has to do with one's view on humans. In George Lucas' Star Wars, whether we're good or bad is nothing more and nothing less than whether we're able to control our fear, anger, hate and aggression or we're being controlled by it. If you have this view, you can't really take out one thing from a person's life and say, this and that is what should define them as good person or bad person. When your dark side is in control, you're under the sway of your fear, anger, hate and aggression, greed, so you act in an evil way, you do evil things, under the influence of negative emotions and motivations and so on. That evil behavior arises as a result of certain causes and conditions. A Jedi Knight is someone who controls their dark side through patience and training and going as far to their light side - compassion, love, kindness, charity and hope - as possible, they're dedicating their whole life to achieve this and to radiate onto others. But this is a very hard task and you have to be very diligent about it, you have to work hard and you have to be very disciplined, because your dark side is always there and if you let your guard down, it will erupt. You must be mindful, compassionate, committed and serious.
Being on the light side and in control of the dark side - that's Anakin Skywalker. Being under the sway of the dark side and being on the dark side - that's Darth Vader. What I am trying to say here is that you should try to view him and all others as a continuum and judge them by their current state and not like weighing their actions on a scale and trying to get a verdict based on that. That's one of the core lessons of Lucas' Star Wars. For example, Anakin saved Naboo in Episode I, and in Episode IV, he destroyed Alderaan. I doubt that anyone who watch this, says, well, one planet saved, one planet destroyed, therefore, he is back to square one, whereas scale-of-justice logic requires exactly that conclusion. The scale-of-justice logic cannot make sense of the redemption of Darth Vader, thus, there are many who left bewildered by the fact that he ended up being a manifestation of the Force like Yoda and Obi-Wan, whereas it's actually the conclusion of the view that sees him as a continuum. In Episode III, he was no longer the good man named Anakin and in Episode VI, he was that person once again, and no longer Vader. In the same way, in Episode II, Anakin fell under the sway of his dark side, and he massacred the Tuskens. You can say that he become Darth Vader for that time. Then, he was once again Anakin, and he was tormented by guilt and shame, saying, "I'm a Jedi! I know I am better than this." According to scale-of-justice logic, butchering the Sand People goes into Anakin's permanent record and he must do something very good to balance it, so he can be considered a good person once again, but this is, once again, the flaw of that logic.
Padmé views Anakin this way. She is not marrying the Anakin who is under the sway of his dark side, but the Anakin who is in control of it and who is on his light side. In Episode III, she begs him to turn back into that person. As it's explicitly stated in Episode VI, Anakin is this person's "true self", obscured by his unchecked dark side. He carries Vader as a potential in himself, and Vader carries him as a potential as well. This is why he can to turn into Vader, and back into Anakin.
Sand People: demonized natives or beasts?
As for Sand People, sometimes I wonder how they were meant to be viewed in George Lucas' canon. It's very clear that Anakin butchering the younglings in Episode III and wiping out the entire Tusken village in Episode II are meant to be seen as two very, very different things: Padmé immediately tells Anakin that she cannot stay with him, and she can't do that "Because of what you've done. What you plan to do." Lucas himself said that Padmé would certainly won't be able to live with him after this, although she would still love him. And even though she is well aware of the fact that Anakin massacred Tusken women and children, when Obi-Wan reveals that Anakin killed the younglings in the Jedi Temple, she reacts with saying, "Not Anakin. He couldn't." I saw many who found this ridiculous but it's quite clear that Lucas wants us to separate the two incidents, even though he says that Anakin killing the Tuskens is "completely inappropriate."
We can argue about whether or not it is a good thing, but if we watch the movies and the tv show, we have no real reason to believe that when they were described as creatures who are walking like men but they're actually mindless and vicious and animal-like monsters, it wasn't accurate. In fact, Lucas explicitly stated that he wanted the Tuskens to be introduced as such: deadly, treacherous, disliked, not completely human, as he said. This is not to say that they are not composed of light and dark, like all living things, but they're meant to be seen as a race of bloodthirsty and animal-like, primitive marauder creatures. They're the baboons in Disney's Tarzan.
So, in George Lucas' narrative, what Anakin did was certainly bad, but the emphasis is always on Anakin took lives out of hate, anger and aggression branching from his rage over not being able to have his mother in his life, descending into blind vengeance. A Jedi Knight must not take revenge, no matter what, and must be able to be in control of his dark side. That's the point.
The portrayal of the Tusken Raider as more human, even noble, with complex spirituality and traditions is (and again, we can argue about whether or not it's a good thing, but that's another conversation) coming from Book of Boba Fett and the Mandalorian, and it can be traced back to some Legends works. Viewing Attack of the Clones with this in mind, Anakin massacring the Sand People village is basically the genocide of a tribe of natives and Padmé's reaction to it is deeply concerning and it seems she either ignores it or simply just doesn't care. But in Lucas' narrative, the Tusken raiders, like I wrote it above, are closer to stereotypical baboons. Their death is not acknowledged as something that has the same wight as the death of the younglings. Or the Ewoks, who were prepared to cook Luke and Han. Even more importantly, if you watch the Clone Wars episode Trespass, on the surface, the Talz are very similar to the Tuskens, yet, they're worlds apart, and the story makes sure that their equality is clearly emphasized. If the Tuskens would meant to be seen similarly, there would've been an episode introducing them in a similar way.
The Tuskens are nightmarish nomadic maunderer creatures roaming a desert planet, intelligent and able to create culture, but driven by basic instincts, inspired by horror stories about desert dwelling, nightmarish nomadic maunderer tribes that were based on stereotypical depiction of the Bedouin, who historically raided trade caravans, villages at the margins of settled areas and threatened cities. So, Padmé's reaction to Anakin's confession and she marrying him anyway should be interpreted with this in mind.
Like I said, we can argue about whether or not it's a good thing, but that's another discussion - to be able to have that discussion, I think, it's crucial to clarify, what is the story that was told, how the characters, the creatures, the philosophies etc. were meant to be viewed, because then we can have a clear picture.

3, 9, 10, 16????
3: NOTP
i was HOPING someone would ask this so I could drag some things through the mud :3
number 1, uncontested and undefeated,is, has been and will always be: Obitine. you can hunt me with this shit, I'be never seen a canon pairing with less chemistry.
Maybe except number 2: anidala. I just.... no. i don't get it. never have never will. mainly bc I simply dont get how anyone could ever look at Anakin and think "ooooh yeah, imma FUCK THAT" (specifically the character. he is just such a walking red flag its unreal)
controversial, but I also don't like Codywan (and Jangobi is VERY hit or miss at this point as well)
but yeah, those two are ships that WILL break interest in a fic for me even if everything else is right up my alley.
9: Fic rec!
I have so many, honestly, but there is ONE i will ALWAYS shoutout at this point bc it was FORMATIVE for me and my desire to write crack.
old, unfinished, about ocs but so, so , SO dear to my heart:
Adventures of the Galaxy's Most Idiotic Trio (by hikikomochi)
PLEASE give it a read, it is SO FUNNY
10: fanart rec!
THIS dunmeshi piece lives in my head rent free (you didn't give a specific character so I chose)
Honestly tho, the dunmeshi fandom is hands down UNRIVALLED in the fanart department. you go sceoll the tag and it is jus BANGER after BANGER after BANGER after BANGER
so good
16: do ppl irl know I participate in fandom
yea
i famously told my old boss about the existence of ao3 (and that i wrote fanfic)
i've read some of my fanfiction to my mom
i've told most of my friends i'm writing fanfic and some of them have a link to my ao3.
Honestly, it's one of my main hobbies. Cringe is dead and i get joy from it so i don't see the point of being hish-hush about it. if ppl are interested in what I write I show them.
(i think it helps that i've always been a weird girl and vocal about it. and that most of my friends also are weird, in their own regard. shoutout to my friends!!)

Get to Know You
Thanks for the tag @sinvulkt! Maybe if I answer this right away I won't forget it :|
Last song: Rob Oxenbridge – Upon This Field of Tears I Stood. What can I say. My music box is full of songs just as dramatic as this.
Currently watching: I am bad at this. The last thing I started watching and still haven't finished it, was Tron (2010), a movie. Well. It do be like that sometimes, when I watch a movie for longer than someone does a 3 season long series.
Three ships: ... so there was this Star Dreadnought called Executor, and the Black Pearl, and also the Dragon Wing... idk, I don't feel very shippy nowadays.
Favorite colour: Ever since black is not a colour, I don't have one. I love them all. Maybe this kind of red at the moment, but four months ago it was this green.
Currently consuming: Homemade raffaellos. I don't know how they happened, I made a cream for a cake and it turned out to be like that, and since I was following the whispers of my heart while mixing the ingredients, I'll never be able to reproduce it.
First ship: Maybe Anidala? But the very first ride-or-die ship was PruHun for sure.
Birthplace: The Kingdom I mean, Republic of Hungary. The name changed since then, now it's just Hungary.
Current location: Same 💅
Relationship status: Complicated relationship with myself. Barely tolerating them, wouldn't recommend to anyone.
Last movie: Nimona, when it was available on Youtube.
Currently working on:
Pllangóhatás / Butterfly Effect,. Two/three chapters left. I found a fic that was using the Thing I wanted to, will be able to continue this after I don't feel worthless.
Sequel to Tűz a mélyben / The Fire Within. The story is basically done, it needs some polishing. It is delayed due to the fact that I need to write a follow up for this, or people will come after me.
My super secret birthday project :3 I tend to write a story for the birthday of my nick. I'll turn 8 this year, I'm so proud of myself! If I am able to finish it, then this year's project will be a longer Inheritance Cycle fic. You might watch the progress here and here.
This is a tag game, but I feel like making this a wildcard – feel yourself tagged, or just send a notice telepathically and I'll tag you!

I just found my first instance of a man not remarrying after his wife died young.
My great*4 aunt got married at 16 (about a month away from turning 17) to a recently 20-year-old man, she unfortunately died less than a year later giving birth to their one and only child at 17. That child died 3 months later, 5 days before my aunt's birthday.
He died 21 years later, and he was listed as her widower (as in her name was in his death registration), so he never remarried. My mostly surface-level search supports this; I haven't found any evidence of him having any other children, either.
I've found sooooo many men who remarried within the same year their wife died, this is the first instance that I've found one who didn't. Well, who didn't as a young man, I mean. He was 20, turning 21 in the next month. He died a week before his 42nd birthday and I just wonder about those 2 decades after her death.
He lost his wife and child within 3 months of each other, a widower and a father with no living child at 21. Did he never develop a romantic relationship again? Was he a mess and slept around? Was he some sort of social pariah? Did he love her so much he just couldn't move on? Was he just not interested in other women? Or women in general? I'll most likely never know, but it is interesting to me. It's so outside the norm I've found in the hundreds of people I've looked at, I can't help but think about this.
I need to remind myself to not make up stories about them, they died well over 100 years ago and most of them and the people around them would not have left behind anything I could read or look at. At most, I can maybe find their graves when I next visit my grandparents, if they haven't degraded too badly (a majority of my ancestors have been in the same area for hundreds of years, apparently, and the most "exotic" ones I've been able to find are the ones that moved from Zacatecas to that area of Jalisco lol I've yet to encounter another state, just Zacatecas).
My preferred theory is that she was it for him, that they fell in love young and married in the hopes of building a life together. That he named their child after her in the hopes that they'd carry on her legacy and memory. But again, who knows. For all I know, I'm waxing poetry in my mind about him when he's actually a piece of shit who never remarried for a very good reason. Who knows.
The whole thing just sucks; I hate that she died so young, giving birth to a child that would join her only a few short months later. I hate that I found another 17-year-old who died giving birth to a baby who wouldn't survive so soon after the last one I posted about. I hate that I know she won't be the last or the youngest. I hate that my great*3 grandfather, her younger brother, only got to know her for a year before she died. I hate that a baby named after their mother, likely in an earnest attempt by a grieving father to keep her memory and love alive, died of an illness that was listed as herpes only a few days before they turned 3 months old. That if it was herpes, they likely got it simply by being born, so that fatal act doomed both mother and child. I hate that my great*4 uncle experienced such awful tragedies so close together and at such a young age, regardless of how he was as a person, nobody deserves to lose their loved ones like that. I hate that my great*4 grandparents, her parents, continued to have children after she died doing the same, giving her siblings she'd never know and who'd never know her.
Idk something about this whole thing hit me hard. I think it's because I'm neck-deep in both my Todofam and Anidala feels lol

My to do (one day i swear) fics masterlist (forgive the messy summaries and useless commentary i literally made this two weeks after seeing the movie and didnt touch it until today lol )
1 Titanic AU for this one im still thinking abt the general plot (edit 28/01: i have the plot but i have to write it lol)
2 Coryo has his grandma and cousin 'captured', it has some consequences on his psyche and thoughts... ( he believes them dead--> during the scene after the games with Highbottom implies they might be dead the little shit) and is directly (like literally forced, hes not allowed to see his family) sent in District 12....
3 (in this one they're technically older than in canon), before the war they meet many times (from 10 to 15/16y), then the war happens: they meet again during these events, (the Covey didnt partake in the war in the novel, but im still deciding though if Lucy Gray'll choose a 'side' to help or not...edit 28/01: she will pick a side hehe and not its Coryo's) ...(...maybe , after, the angst during the war, then the 13 win and they meet at opposite side of the line...and then forced to be together due to the new 'Games'.?????..bruh i have so many tropes and AU mixed in this one)
4 okay, so this is a Star Wars AU...(not Anidala i swear...they just...dont fit them i think) so idk if you watched Rogue One, but it'll be loosely inspired by this movie...
5 College/University AU, where Coryo is forced (literally, he is blackmailed by professor Highbottom) to tutor Lucy Gray otherwise he (C. Highbottom) wont valid his stage/work (or smt like that idk precisely yet since i dont know a damn thing abt American or British university ) - and he choose Lucy Gray especially for him bc he knows Coryo'll be pissed abt it and wont succed (well, he thinks he knows Coryo wont succeed, but little did he know...) so Coryo not exactly happy abt having to tutor this...girl. (pretty snobby abt it too)...their start is very...rocky...(i have written their meeting scene (well, the official meeting) already )
6 (edit 28/01: this one is very shitty i hesitated to let it on this post but here take what my snowbaird brainrot managed to imagine lol) ...due to the fragile 'peace' between districts and Capitol after the war, the new government decided to send children/teens/adult to differents district or Capitol (a sort of 'exchange'.... well and also 'you start doing suspicious things, we have your people in 'hostage' kind of thing) and for them to live in it (for a limited amount of time), and if they succeed without raising any problems, they can come back 'home' (little did kid Coryo know he will end up loving district 12....not right away of course, right now hes rather angry, disgusted by 12 and a condescending little shit... )
7 (edit 28/01: i wrote a more insightful plot for this, i'll add it tomorrow) Lucy Gray, killed in the forest wake up to the day of her reaping.
8 another modern AU (sorry if u dont like that) inspired by Mamma mia (i fully blame the whole movie album) with, of course some twist and changes...(edit 28/01: it can works my brain said so to me)
9 WHELP. ANOTHER MODERN AU. so. i wont detail everything here (its the first fic idea i had and i did work a little more on it ) but, Coryo after 3/4 years in the military (forced by his mom but theres more to it of course also,/ not thinking abt real military accuracy now) come back to see his friend Sejanus - yeah, he really is friend (reluctant) Sejanus in this,(Sejanus, who due to some events- his father death???- created with his mom a scholarship for students who live in less priviligied areas of the town/or country??? still thinking abt it ) . So. Coryo come back just to see his only (with Clementia of course) friend doing buddy buddy with Lucy Gray. Lets say hes not happy....
10 Im sure others already thought of this one, but if Highbottom was more of a close 'mentor/fatherly' figure to him after the war??? ( not only, but also manipulating Coryo to his own ends)
12 And Actors AU because well, they're both performers in their own right and Actor/actress + (fake dating maybe??) + a past still haunting them + lowkey despise you = perfect angst.

Treacherous (RNM, Malexa)
5. Do you respond to comments?
When people actually comment, yes! I always feel my responses are superfluous, but I love when people take the time to comment.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Probably Last Kiss, considering it ends with Padmé's death...
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Three Makes a Family, but it's been in edits for over a year so nobody gets to see how wholesome it ends because I haven't been able to put myself back into the RNM writing mood 😭
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I did in the RNM fandom because some people can't handle polyamory.
9. Do you write smut? What kind?
Not much. I usually default to fluffy smut. The closest I've come to actual smut in published fics is Treacherous, and it's focused on their feelings rather than the action.
10. Do you write cross-overs?
I tend to stay in one fandom at a time when writing.
11. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope. And I'm not sure I'd like it. I would be too worried about whether they got the tone right.
12. Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
Once, when I was in the TVD fandom, years ago. The other two cowriters just stopped participating after like 3 chapters and told me I could do whatever, then got mad at me for taking the whole thing down.
13. What WIP you would like to finish, but doubt you ever will?
Ouch. Three Makes a Family is technically written, just not edited. So it's kinda finished...? But I haven't fallen back into the RNM mood, and the shitshow that was s4 made it very hard.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
Ships come and go with my special interests, so ask me every few months and the answer will be different. Right now, I'm leaning toward Obikin/Anidala equally.
15. What are your writing strengths?
Writing out feelings and lyrical prose. (What is this, an interview? 😅)
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
Continuity in a long arc. My brain goes too fast and gets stuck on subplots. Halfway through a long project I usually have to rethink my idea for the ending (if I even knew where I was going in the first place) because I strayed so far from the original plot lol
On the bright side I am slowly learning to actually outline my fics 😂
17. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
For real languages, it needs to be grammatically correct. I say this as a native French speaker who read way too many published novels where there's dialogue in French and it's absolutely awful.
For fandoms languages, have fun I guess! A translation in the notes or between parenthesis always helps tho.
18. First fandom you wrote for?
Either HP or Buffy, back when we posted on fanfiction.net. I read those fandoms a lot as a teen, but I can't remember if I wrote much back then.
19. Favourite fic you've ever written?
Treacherous maybe? I really love how it turned out.
20. What fic would you want to rewrite one day?
None. When I post a fic it's done in my head. If I start thinking about how it could be better, I'll never stop editing and rewriting it. And then no one would get to read it. My fics are by no means perfect, and there's always something bugging me about them when I reread them, but they represent my writing at that moment.
Tagging @bisexualalienss, @maeglinthebold, @burntblueberrywaffles, @palfriendpatine66 and @somethingsteff and anyone else who wants to do it. Feel free to ignore me 😉

Your point about the only thing Rey people being interested in was her relationship with Kylo and how that paralleled the Luke/Vader relationship is interesting. It would have added a lot of depth to the story if they'd been twins. Rey goes for the kiss. "No Rey, I'm your brother." lol. Awkward. Insanely awkward.
Hey, sorry but since I ship them and SW has already had enough soap opera-like "i'm your secret twin" last-minute revelations for my tastes I prefer them to be a romantic enemies to lovers pair - something that in SW (at least the movies; the EU was a bit different with Luke/Mara Jade and Revan/Bastila etc.) has never been seen before, so it adds an element of originality in what is basically Poor Man's OT. Same themes as Luke+Vader (love and compassion as a redemptive force) but not make it a family thing, please. That would have been uselessly redudant imo. What I meant with the Luke+Vader parallel is they're a similar brand of "the protagonist shares their most important relationship with an antagonist who turns to the Light thanks to their influence; said dynamic also challenges the main character's naive and black/white beliefs on evil&good, it challenges them to see the world under a different light". Rey didn't need to be a literal Skywalker, Kylo/Ben could have been enough for that as "one half of the protagonist/one side of the coin" - also because he has had to live with that legacy/lovable dysfunctional family for all his life while Rey struggled in a desert and Luke was "a myth" to her. She doesn't even know them; Vader&co. mean nothing to her (that's one of the many reasons the Rey Palpatine revelation feels so hollow - are we even sure she knew what a Palpatine was? lmao). The Vader Is Luke's Father plot works so well because he's the antagonist Luke has been fighting since Film 1, and Luke has been idolizing his dead dad since forever. This forces the kid to grow up - his world shatters, so he has to find a new sort of belief code. Similar to what her relationship with Kylo does (or should do) to Rey, but in a romantic key. Maybe a romance that redeemed the original star-crossed space lovers (Anidala) - this is all about Vader's legacy after all. In fact, it's all about that and how Leia couldn't (understandably) cope with it, and her son getting targeted by Snoke. Anakin's ghost should have definitely made an appearance in TROS and had an overdue talk with his grandson and his daughter but alas, "Palpatine somehow returned" but Anakin can't be bothered about his family I guess lol (that's deeply OOC of him - I'm saying this as a fan of the character).
But I agree with your point about Rey never failing/fucking things up/needing others' help. That's one of the reasons the audience feels like she's never really matured and changed. She needed to face her own demons, not someone else (specifically a man)'s. The angst about her parents abandoning her and treating her like shit should have sufficed: if she's shown her parents were Good People All Along and they were really coming back for her - well, that only reinforces her childish beliefs and never really puts her in the position to challenge them. Same as if Luke's dad had been a good guy, like he dreamed, and not literally Satan's right hand man. That's How To Write Protagonists 101 but I don't think Disneylucas ever cared about creating a somehow coherent story.

Hi Charlie… It’s so wonderful to get to know you on a more personal level. I’ve read your description of yourself…
I feel like I’ve found my fellow comrade. With a few differences… I live in Southern California… I am a big advocate for mental health.
I am an elementary teacher… I currently teach 1st grade. My students are my inspiration for living life to the fullest.
I enjoy reading… and my favorite is reading FanFiction stories only “Anidala” stories. I’ve thought about writing a story.. but I’m not brave enough. Maybe someday. I enjoy reading all your stories. You’re an amazing writer. I truly appreciate all FanFic writers because I know how pushy and critical some people can be… and it’s all done for entertainment. The first story I read from your list is “Alternate Perspectives” and “The Skywalker Spirit”. I’ve read them more than once.
Well.. I’m glad I was able to learn more about you and share something about me.
Thanks again for sharing your talent of writing… Looking forward to reading more of your stories.
Sfloresf66
Hey Sfloresf66!
Wow, The Skywalker Spirit is an old one...lol. Altered Perceptions will be updated as soon as I get it’s next chapter finished, don’t know when that will be though. Anidala isn’t the only type of fics I enjoy, but Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader is one of my favorite characters to write, he so fun to get into the head of.
Thank you for the compliment regarding my writing. I truly do enjoy writing and it is a wonderful outlet for so many things. I spent so many years self improving my writing and I’m not always convinced of my own skill, always feeling the need for improvement. I do appreciate the compliment.
I think, if you want to write a story, go ahead! You don’t have to publish anything unless you feel ready to. I only have a small fraction of my own writing published. I can offer some advice if you want, based on my own experience. I may write a post about that at some point, idk.
Yes! Some people can be picky and pushy, especially readers, lol. It’s all good though, even if a bit frustrating at times. I can understand both sides. As a reader, I feel anxious for the next update for a really good ongoing fic and yet as a writer, I understand just how long it can take to update. I used to be able to crank out update after update, fic after fic but I’m starting to suspect that it was the manic side of me that did that, lol. Now, it takes me a while to update a fic and I do feel the pressure to satisfy loyal readers.
Hey, that’s amazing that you’re a teacher and feel such passion for your job! Teachers don’t get enough credit or respect, and the really good ones can leave a life long impression. I can count only a few teachers who have left strong, positive impressions on me. The best teacher that I had was Mr. S. whom I had in fourth and fifth grade. He was strict(in a good way) but the things he taught are things that have stayed with me almost thirty years later. My older brother has worked for the school system since he graduated HS, working his way up through the system. During my HS years he worked as a teachers aid at one of the county’s ESE schools, also being given the position of union rep. The stories he has are insane! I think it is a disgrace the kind of shit teachers have to put up with these days and yet they still don’t paid enough nor compensated for the extra effort they put in for educating our kids. I have other relatives who work in the field too and I have mad respect for teachers.
Thank you for sharing some of yourself in return. Sending good vibes your way!

So I got your take on Padme. I still like anidala as a fairytale romance and think if the circumstances were better then they could have worked things out like any other couple. However, fics involving Leia and now Padme are making me inexplicably frustrated. So I wanted to ask again what kind of woman you could see him with. You mentioned I think someone also with trauma (disagree a bit with that) and/or someone from a similar class (agree).
I could see Anakin being with a kind of down-to-earth girl maybe from a working or middle-class family. Someone still sweet and feminine like Padme but kind of tomboyish and not afraid to rough it out. Someone with a big heart but still sassy (a bit like Leia or maybe a bit like Toph from Avatar). Maybe she has a relatively big family who welcomes Anakin in like one of their own even if he is not her husband yet (he deserves a loving family so much damn it!). Someone who takes the time to listen to his fears and concerns without brushing them aside.
In return maybe she is a bit self-conscious about her looks or talents. Or people looked down on her due to her family's financial problems. Given how Anakin is with Padme, I think Anakin praising this girl for her inner and outer beauty would be a lot sweeter. It's easy to call a well-off girl with pretty clothes and ready access to beauty supplies "an angel" after all. And given his past as a slave, he would be the perfect guy to reassure her of her worth.
Just a rough idea, but I would like your take on it! I think Padme did Anakin a disservice in so many ways. Sometimes it is not a good idea to pair two traumatized people together although I do see where you are coming from. But I believe someone less privileged but still emotionally steadfast would be a good match.
@fanfic-lover-girl
Oh I love this idea!
And yes Anakin needed someone who could understand and relate to his trauma. Padme tried but she just couldn’t bridge the gap between her lack of understanding of Anakins suffering and his impatience with her ignorance. She tended to brush anakins trauma under the rug until it burst. Anakin needed an understanding empathetic partner who came from the same kind of cloth and a good therapist. That’s just my opinion though.
Someone who experienced similar trauma would be ideal. Anakin desperately needed someone who would help him face his issues, not burry them. Someone who would support and defend him, while helping him feel safe enough to reveal his inner insecurities. A therapist would be a must though, no matter what. No partner can be a stand in for a good therapist experienced with CPTSD or BPD. A partner who knows and can help Anakin with triggers would be most ideal. He can’t help being triggered but he can be taught to manage his triggers in a healthy way with a partner who can comfort him but also talk through the trauma with him. Boy or Girl, this person needs to have an idea of Anakins mental illness, and be willing to take the journey of self discovery with him. Ideally? They’d also be adventurous and a bit possessive. Anakins sense of love comes from a bit of possessiveness (not totally unhealthy but can become unhealthy, he’s a bit codependent from the loss of attachments, hence the BPD) and someone who doesn’t mind him being clingy.

I have no idea the deep lore for reylo, only what I've seen on tumblr. But I think I would like ship, if Kylo or whatever his name is, did not kill Han Solo. Like I ship anidala! And I love Anakin Skywalker for force sakes. Yet the killing of Han Solo like that by his only kid no less is where I draw the line and why I will never watch the sequels. Ever. Like they did Han dirty! The orginal trio is supposed to be having their happily ever after. Growing old together. They are suppose to have tons of kids and grandchildren! So I don't ship reylo cause for me they do not exist. Sequels sorry I don't know them.
SPOILERS FOR THE STAR WARS SEQUEL TRILOGY!!!
Harrison Ford, the actor of Han Solo, hates his character. He wanted him dead way back in Empire Strikes Back, which is why they froze him in Carbonite and left it ambiguous.
Ford was so sick of playing Han Solo and forced the filmmakers to kill him off.
It sucks that he died, yeah.
I've seen theories that say Kylo Ren never meant to kill Han, and Han ignited the lightsaber, killing himself. Idk.
Everyone's fate in the sequel is pretty bad.
Maybe the filmmakers were thinking that the prequel trio (anakin, padme and obi wan) had traumatic fates as well...so let's make it that way for Han, leia and Luke.
I shipped Reylo after The Last Jedi because that's where they had the most screen time. Maybe your thoughts will change then?? Idk. You can give the sequel trilogy a try if you want.

Anne Shirley in the GFFA
Yes, you read that correctly.
You see, a very strange plot bunny has been lurking in my brain for months, now.
What if Anne Shirley, and maybe someone else from the Green Gables books, somehow ended up in the GFFA toward the end of the Clone Wars? Thinking maybe Anne of Avonlea-era Anne, when she's a teacher and Marilla takes in Davy and Dora Keith.
I just think it would be really funny, because of how Anne is always encountering twins, wherever she goes, and then Luke and Leia are born while she's in the GFFA, and... yep, checks out.
I wonder who Anne would find to be a kindred spirit. If she got to see Yoda's whimsical side, I almost think she might find him to be one? And possibly Padmé? I see a lot of Anne's idealism in Padmé.
She would get to the SW galaxy through the Haunted Wood, one dark and misty night when she's taking the twins back home after a visit to somewhere, perhaps.
Anne would find plenty of "scope for imagination" on Naboo, she'd find it absolutely delightful. As for Anidala and the Set and Veré scheme, she'd be in raptures over the romance of it all.
Oh Force help us, if Davy and Dora happened to be along for the ride.... "Davy Keith! Don't walk on the edge of the veranda, or you'll fall to your death!"
Davy's opinions on kriff, kark, fierfek, etc.:
"They're the bulliest swears, Anne, and they ain't blasphemous 'cause there ain't God here, so I guess it can't offend him."
"No, Davy, but they're coarse and vulgar in another way entirely, and little boys still shouldn't say them," Anne admonished.
And Dora, remarking on some of the people they meet:
"Mrs. Rachel would say they're ungodly and wicked heathens," Dora observed, primly.
"Oh, Dora, I don't think anyone can be wicked who's kind and wise."
If Anne is dropped onto Coruscant, Padmé takes her in, she becomes some sort of aide, goes to the Senate with Padmé. "I don't like that man," she told Padmé, watching the Chancellor. "He is NOT a kindred spirit. Something in his eyes reminds me of [Mrs. Blewett, or someone else unpleasant like that]."
Her patroness' wardrobe would also send Anne into raptures. "Why, it's just like the wardrobe of a princess from one of the stories the girls and I used to write! Oh, Padmé, I could live in here for eons with no sustenance but to feast my eyes upon the splendor!"
Nightmare night. Mid-conversation, Padmé and Anakin hear a crash from outside. Anakin immediately ready to fight someone, Padmé's just like "Davy!" Living room or kitchen, find Anne and Davy. Who's broken something or other on a midnight foray for food. Could lead to a more productive conversation that leads to Anakin being a little more rational.
Also, Padmé and Anakin get a preview of what the next several years of their lives will be like, with a child in the house. And they're like, "Oh, thank goodness we'll only have the one." (Joke's on them there, of course.)
Anne gets through to Anakin about Obi-Wan. "Maybe he's like Marilla. She's... well, I suppose she's most like an aunt. She adopted me, but I could never imagine thinking of her as a mother. She isn't at all the motherly sort. She's prickly as a thornbush, and she seemed oh-so-stern, austere, really, and it took simply ages to thaw her out. She was always disapproving of my messes and scrapes--and oh, there were a lot of scrapes, especially early on--but... oh dear, I'm rambling on again. Anyway, Marilla is not what one would call an affectionate woman, but I just know she loves me, because she's put up with all my scrapes, and if she does correct me, it's because she cares. She didn't care at the start, you see, not that way. She only cared enough to keep me so that horrible Mrs. Blewett wouldn't take me instead, which is really just what any good, upstanding person would do. And I think maybe your Obi-Wan is the same way. After all, it's a pretty difficult thing to raise a child and not come to love them in some way."
Somehow, this all leads to Anakin not falling and Palpatine being properly disposed of.
I may actually try writing this one, because, weird idea though it is, I also think it could weirdly work. Anne Shirley has this way of improving all the lives she touches, and I see no reason why that wouldn't continue in the GFFA.
Any opinions on who Anne might find to be kindred spirits in the GFFA? I'm leaning toward Padmé and maybe Yoda (maybe), but I'd love to hear any other suggestions!

Find something different to defend to the death. Like idk, a classic book or smth. Or a movie that was actually good and had cultural impact (not the Star Wars sequels, only the prequel and og trilogy had impact. The new shot is blatant milking from a capitalist shitstain company that would rather its employees die in their cars from starvation than give them a livable wage.) or maybe go take a literature class and learn abt subtext and themes, and narrative equivalencies, and be able to understand that real life affects fiction (1984) so logically, the reverse must be true. (literary tropes and monsters becoming mainstream, concepts and phrases from books becoming so commonplace nobody can even remember where they came from, a lot of things abt Sherlock Holmes and how so many things from that series of stories affected real life police and detectives and how they were perceived. these are all examples of fiction affecting reality and peoples perception of it.) you are being a clown for no reason. Take off the mcdonald shoes and put on your big girl ones.
What kinda fucking cocknozzle sits there and tells someone else that the thing they like ain't worth defending then shoots a fucking fat turd of a paragraph trying to explain why?
Yes, that's what I want. A fucking prick telling me the thing I love is bad because they don't fucking understand it.
Ya daffy fucking cunt. You probably don't know fucking dick about botany but that don't mean the kudzu that has been slowly choking the entirety of the fucking southern states of America suddenly isn't a fucking issue anymore because you don't understand what the flying fuck it is.
Things can mean many things to other people even though the point can evade you, and fuck me sideways, a lot of information looks like it evades those two brain cells you got knockin' around. Let's help you out by pointing you to a few metas since you can't seem to understand the cultural impact these movies may have had on some people: Musically Ben and Rey mirror one another.
Another music study on Ben and Rey's leitmotifs because John Williams don't fuck around and understood the fucking assignment.
Reylo is just reverse anidala and you can see this shit with your fucking eyes closed
Rey has a lot of fucking reasons to be absolutely fucking furious but chooses the high road and how we can all learn from that.
Rey and Ben are ying and yang.
They cover that topic a lot because it's not fucking subtle.
Kylo Ren and the five stages of grief
The color red is in The Last Jedi a lot and it's not fucking accidental.
More on the topic of blood and the color red used in these movies.
The trilogies are all metaphors for growing up.
The Force Bond was set up in The Force Awakens and it's really fucking obvious.
Another one.
And another one.
Many of these metas, specifically the force bond ones, were made well fucking before The Last Jedi came out if that tells you how fucking obvious the bond was going to be in the plot structure of these fucking movies moving forward.
You remember this scene?
Tumblr media
Yeah John Williams knew full fucking well reylo was gonna be a goddamn thing
Really fucking obvious Beauty and the Beast parallels.
Snoke is a dragon from ye olde fairytales.
The canto bight scene and it's cinematic parallels to My Fair Lady
Just to name a fucking few.
There are literal lists upon lists of these fucking metas on tumblr.
Listen, I could go fucking on there are countless metas floating around on this very fucking website that covers just... fucking everything dealing with The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.
Tumblr media
Not you Rise of Skywalker, we don't fucking talk about you.
These 2 movies alone gave us so much fucking content that even now 8 years after their release we can still dive in and catch new shit. That ain't fucking shallow you dense motherfucker.
Just because you watched these movies with your head rammed up your ass so fucking far you can only see shit doesn't mean they are shallow works with zero cultural impact. They don't mean dick To You. They mean quite a bit to many other people who ain't fucking stupid.
I may be a clown but you're a fucking joke.
