#auh thank you!#I think most people who draw and/or have their own characters dream of seeing them in animated form #I visualize them that way in my head #and it's really nice to hear you can imagine them in motion as well! I hope that means I've managed to make them convincingly expressive #I know animating as an individual artist and for fun is getting more accessible #but it's still a very challenging and time consuming art form #knowing how to draw doesn't necessarily translate to being able to animate well #I'd love to give it a try though #answered #anonymous

thank you for the kind words !!! im not much of a writer, but i do have some sort of story in mind for them.. theyre bitter rivals who end up as roommates bc of their scatterbrained elderly landlord lol

#idk how much of it im gonna keep or change but thats basically the gist of it ^_^#i dont know if i could ever write a solid linear story bc im very indecisive and tend to change things a lot so most of what i make ends up #very abstract or nonlinear.. just short drabbles or stuff that can be slotted into a general setting or premise #although i do want to challenge myself to try and write some sort of enemies/rivals to friends because i have a huge weak spot for that #dynamic!! i tend to be a little soft on my characters which i think has to do with me being a conflict avoidant person. so maybe exploring #this kind of dynamic will help me experiment with my sense of storytelling. although i cant promise it will be written well lol #im also thinking of making their story part of a bigger world so kinda like an omnibus?? i have another story in mind i think i can fit int #the same canon and itd be funny if theres like a bunch of wacky going ons between different apartment tenants nichijou style #but we'll see!!! thank you for your interest in these little shits!!!!#my art #myart #my oc #oc #presto #shuffle #house of cards #oc talk #ask #doodles #yapping

And there we have it, folks! After a successful conversation with his siblings, I think Daniel feels a lot more confident in coming back to this competition with his heart on his sleeve! Good thing, too, because the voluntary exit of our beloved Julesx2 has opened production’s minds to a very interesting idea, and Dan will have to be ready for the next phase of this competition! 👀

When I first began the reboot of this challenge back in March of this year, I had no idea that it would become the project that it is today! It is my proudest achievement, and I am so so happy that you’ve all come on this journey with Dan and I! Though I am stepping back a bit to give my creative mind a break, know that Kiss Me in Komorebi is definitely returning, and I look forward to continuing this adventure with you all!

Here's the thing about politics, and ultimately, the world: you are going to be biased, and you are going to have a limited understanding of others to an extent. The key is to not deny that this exists because you will be ignorant when you are biased and limited in your worldview.

Yes, absolutely listen to multiple voices and points of view and a variety of different types of people. But know that this isn't the same as erasing all biases and "self-centered" views. Strive to do better without denying that you are fallible.

#politics #this is how growth happens too #it is natural to be almost self-centered because you both live with yourself but also view the world as a self/selves #and it IS better to strive to remember inclusivity and sensitivity but that doesn't mean that you will NEVER betray those goals...#...and that's not because you are Bad Person Number One but rather because you are fallible...#...you will try your best and sometimes fall flat on your face regardless. that's the POINT of being alive...#...what you do is recognize that you're fallible and learn how you fumbled and remember that for next time...#...arm yourself with that knowledge and you will be better for it.#you can never reach this magical point where you Never Do Wrong because that Doesn't Exist #so what you do is learn. and keep learning. and challenging yourself. and not blame yourself for being an Actual Person #i would rather somebody stumble but ultimately mean well and actually learn than somebody who assumes that...#...'oh well because i say i believe and do Good Things that means i'll NEVER do ANYTHING bad EVER'#inspired by me realizing that a question i had stemmed from a limited worldview because i live As Me and don't know anything else truly #even i am fallible much to my chagrin (lighthearted)

Remind me how this 'game' is supposed to convince me I'm not destined to turn into an evil demon monkey thing again!? Cause every option I pick takes me to this same screen!" "Hey you're finally getting it! No matter what options it's giving you, you're always gonna end up in the same spot." And it's like, losing being inevitable, the game being rigged, the only option being to find a different choice, yet still "every choice has consequences—for someone." Overall I just kinda feel like this:

#em draws stuff #hornblower #william bush #horatio hornblower #first and foremost! sorry for melting bush's face off in this image #but for a bit more context this is because I had the idea that a hornblower story based in 'the steadfast tin soldier' would be interesting #so here we've got pewter-cast model bush and paper theatre guy hornblower (and things are not going well for them!)#this one was an interesting challenge since I wanted bush to look like the metal was sort of melting out from under his paint #and then hornblower's paper hasn't quite caught alight yet but is starting to char at the very edges of him and where he's touching bush #both of them are much more complex designs than I'd originally been planning for (bush has got ball-and-socket joints and all...)#(the original original plan was that I would learn pewter casting and make him Real. as you can see I did not do that.)#but hey I'm pleased with how they turned out in the end! this took me three sharpe episodes to draw :|#(eleven episodes in and I think it made me weird in the head so I think I will slow down for the time being! too much riflery!)#aaaaaanyway. I don't know if I'll ever write anything about this idea so I'm releasing it into the wild if anyone else likes it #part of this was. an excuse to put some sequins on hornblower yes. fellow should sparkle a little more often!
