I don't know why we somehow all came to the conclusion that Rauru was the toxic polyamory sort that can't help but drag you into his mess, but I feel like it's near-universal fanon for some reason 😭

Ok, I must know, just how did Rauru attach his arm to Link?
‘Cause I can only think of a few things and it’s driving me crazy.
He disarmed Link (knife?) and put his arm in place (either with weird ghost magic or the ultrahand glue)
Same as above but instead of a knife or sm, it’s the wiggle thing you have to do to unstick things with ultrahand
Just the ol’ switch-a-roo (one sided, since Rauru doesn’t have Link’s arm)
Transmutation (Link arm —> Rauru arm)
I wonder if the markings on Link’s torso are from the gloom and just look different or it they’re from whatever magic-hullabaloo Rauru did.
Edit:
I just remembered that Rauru’s arm saves Link so maybe his jewellery does something to his arm or something like 3 or 4.

Answers to the common questions of “Why didn’t Zelda retain dragon features?” and “Why did Link’s arm revert to normal?”
I’ve been dying to do some analysis posts since TotK came out, and after seeing a lot of people complain about the above, I decided my first should be related to the endgame.
So, I’ve seen a lot of posts where people seem to misunderstand what was going on when Zelda changed back into a Hylian, and why Link’s arm returned to normal. Many write this off as simply plot convenience, and while it’s true that Nintendo wouldn’t want to leave the main characters of one of their most popular titles with permanent changes, I’m here to try my best to explain the actual reason these things happened the way they did, because whether you noticed it or not, there is plot relevance to this reversion.
Draconification is permanent.
This is an indisputable fact.
And while I have seen people criticizing the way Zelda changed back, the fact is she swallowed the stone knowing that she never would.
“I’ll be forever changed…”
Her cry for Link to find her was not for her sake. She wasn’t depending on him to find the key to changing her back. Nay, the only reason she desperately prayed for him to find her was so that he could get the Master Sword, which—ignoring game mechanics that would allow you to beat Ganondorf with literally any weapon with the right damage/durability ratio—canonically is the only thing that can hurt him.
When Zelda changed back, it was almost entirely thanks to Sonia. That’s right!
…Let’s take a second to recall this scene in which Rauru decimated the horde of Molduga.
We see Sonia extend her hand and then gesture for Zelda to do the same.
Tumblr media
Here they’re extending their own power to amplify Rauru’s counterattack, even beyond the already-massive boost the Secret Stone provides.
Tumblr media
In the final scene when Link finds himself hovering over the sleeping Light Dragon amongst a dream-like atmosphere, it’s really quite telling that Sonia is the first to rest her hand over Link’s, then followed by Rauru.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This time Rauru is fulfilling the role of amplifying Sonia’s power over time. Not just that, but adding it on top of the time manipulation that Zelda gave to Link at the beginning of the game.
That’s what’s happening here. This is immensely powerful, triple amplified time magic!
Tumblr media
The change from dragon to Hylian wasn’t a transformation in the same sense that it was when Zelda changed from Hylian to dragon. I know that’s a confusing sentence, but consider the basis of Sonia’s time magic is recalling things as they once were.
Zelda didn’t retain dragon features because, through the power of time reversal, she was never a dragon to begin with.
This is the also the reason the Secret Stone reappeared on her necklace.
This is ALSO the reason Link’s arm reverted to its natural state before he was affected by the gloom.
And before y’all come at me with “well, why didn’t Rauru do that in the first place instead of giving his arm to Link?” Simple; Sonia wasn’t there. Even spirits aren’t omnipotent… in Hyrule. (Probably.)
The point is, this was essentially a lucky break for Zelda and Link, because if Sonia (and therefore Zelda, by inheritance) didn’t have time magic, there would have been no way to undo the Draconification. It would have been every bit as permanent as Hyrule legends and history says it is, and Zelda would be gone forever.
In fact, it’s likely it was a shot in the dark even on Sonia and Rauru’s part, considering there was no prior knowledge of reversing time on a dragon, let alone a person. It was a glorious blend of the convenience of Sonia’s time magic, and luck that it worked out the way they (“they” being all characters involved) wanted.
Anyways, to wrap this up, Draconification is indeed permanent, unless you have the number one badass-master-of-time-manipulation Queen Sonia on your side. Then you can probably undo anything. :)

it may not look like it but this took a long time to make
heres a rough ability breakdown for the totk rewrite project (i know its hard to read in the pic so let me clear it up and add some extra info)
theres two ability wheels now, sages are not frame rate killing glitch ghosts around you but their abilities are selected through the wheel on the right (pic is rough concept, it is clearer what is selected and what isnt + it has names in final version, symbols are placeholders as well) and bound to the player, when you acitvate it an aura appears similar to the arm abilities and their ghostly form appears besides you, charging or firing when you hit A while the ability is active
SHIEKAH ARM WHEEL
ANALYZE: zelda tells you info about targeted enemy/NPC, it gives you info about it and informs you more dynamically about important things than the foto-entries do
FOTO its fotos :) zelda joins selfies tho and does silly poses with you
REWIND: functions like the time recall in canon, but this time it is a more developed version of stasis instead
AMIIBO: its ... amiibo
HOOKSHOT: grab onto anything (perhaps restricted but not yet decided), you pull yourself+zelda to heavy stuff, light weight objects are pulled to you (including light enemies like bats or small slimes) grab onto something and hold onto it, usable like a vine (think, ww grappling hook) but with limited duration (battery power?)
AUTOBUILD: like in canon but it uses luminous stones if material isnt all there (or other material you put out to so its more versatile and you are more aware of what you have, no accidental spending then)
BUILD: similar to canon, but no glue (it kinda just fuses with no extra graphic unless pehaps like a bolt or sth), you put stuff together anyway you want; build is also used for weapons (no extra ability needed), you just build a weapon on the ground and pick it up afterwards (it has to be a weapon handle part and then sth else to it, otherwise it wont turn into a weapon)
INFUSE: infuse somethign with ancient energy, useless on normal objects usually(?) but reactivates broken or deactivated tech like elevators and doors; used to dynamically access caves and especially labs (labs serve a similar function as shrines, they are old shiekah labs that broke over time, puzzles are diverse things like traversal and little quests in which you help the researcher ghosts of the people that died in these labs (by the calamity, earthquakes, accidents, or killed by the royal army when their tech was banned and they refused to give it up)
SAGE WHEEL:
WIND GUST: same as in canon
LIGHT SHIELD/LIGHT LASER: zelda uses a shield of light to protect herself in combat, it does not affect the player (or perhaps only when you happen to be within range, which is small, this is more a character thing for her than useful for you) for the player through the selection wheel; aim and tell her to shoot a light laser like rauru did in the moldora cutscene in canon totk (a bit more dynamic) it deals very high damage to anything hit but has the highest cooldown of all abilities; deals extra damage to miasma enemies
THUNDERSTRIKE: similar as in canon, it charges through you however (so the charging only gets stopped if YOU shoot an arrow or get hit)
FIRE .. BOOM THING: similar as in canon but yuno has a little animation of daruks shield around him again :)
YIGA TELEPORT/KOGA CLONES (undecided yet): A: target a location in range and koga grabs you like a naughty kitten and teleports you both to the targetted location, you spawn in a little above ground giving you time to either perform a bullet time move or a sword attack from above B: summons a bunch of koga clones that serve as a distraction for enemies and combat support, they die in one hit (reference to kogas and monk moz kyoshias similar moveset; since there are no sage ghosts around you all the time and a max of two companions (zelda always, sage in sage dungeon) it serves as a replacment for that)
WATER ...WELL(?): sidon gives you a shield of water, elemental effect is applied to weapon and lasts as long as the shield does no matter how many times you attack; if it is hit by an enemy it breaks but you dont take damage; if the shield lasts it entire duration without getting hit it it grants you a percentage of your missing health back upon dissolving (ref to mipha healing powers anyone??)
im open to constructive feedback but overall im quite happy of makign it work out like that, although there are quite a few things that need polish i think this is both realistic and works well with what else i have been writing; remember tho, this is my rewrite so im undoing the things i dont like, like riju never being there when you need her bc she runs right up to the enemy and her losing her charge bc she keeps getting knocked over + overall uselessness of minerus robot (to me)
(totk rewritten project)

A part two cause I couldn't help myself <3
I wasn't sure how to name Ganon's horse as there wasn't really an official name so there were two options of Phantom or Galloughs as both names have been mentioned when it comes to his steed so I just went with Phantom-
Also including a love triangle???? Square??? Uh well, would it be a square?? Technically, since it's a couple who wants the reader and Ganon who wants the reader, I would imagine it to be a triangle and not a square? Ah who knows at this point 🕳👩‍🦯
The last note is that I'm making Ganondorf around 8 feet or 240 cm. There are way too many things about his height to make sense of so I'll just go with this.
But for real, I had a lot of fun writing the first part, so here's the second one! Also this ended up way longer than I was expecting 🧍‍♀️
Part One | Part Two | Part Three | Part Four
WARNING - MINORS DNI
AFAB reader and reader is described as feminine and chubby/plus sized.
Yandere themes, mentions of stalking, Virgin reader, smut, oral (female receiving), cunnilingus, fingering, slight breeding kink???,
Yandere Ganondorf x Archeologist Reader (part two)
Tumblr media
The throne room went silent. The acceptance of the proposal nearly made Zelda faint, her hand holding onto the side of Sonia's throne for support.
"So long as this will keep the peace I will accept. I don't want any more bloodshed or any more fighting. If a marriage between the Gerudo and Hylians can keep peace I am willing." You started, bring your hands together before taking a deep breath.
"But you must know that I myself am not a distant relative of royalty. Zelda is but I myself am not. So any benefits regarding that are void. I don't think it would be fair to lie about it." You stated, finishing everything you wanted to say.
Ganondorf was surprised at the revelation but not by much. He had suspected something, as you were far different from both Sonia and Zelda in quite a bit of aspects. But even his warriors agreed before the meeting that even if you were not of distant royalty, it wouldn't matter.
Once Rauru had heard the statement he was hoping that Ganondorfs greed would prevent him from marrying anyone who was not of royal descent as marrying a Hylian already sounded out of character for the Gerudo King.
But when he didn't see him falter he gripped the arm of his throne and held back from speaking as Ganondorf spoke up, "Your intelligence, beauty, and kindness are what make you valuable to not only me but also my tribe. I can guarantee peace and your happiness as well my lady.".
Rauru and Sonia gave each other a knowing look before looking to Zelda, hoping she may be able to talk you out of this foolishness. But she could only give them a shake of her head, her eyes falling on your figure. That look in your eyes settled everything.
Even before they came to the past there were times where you were incredibly stubborn. Moments where you wouldn't step down from something, especially if you had your mind set on it. And even if you yourself had doubts, you would rarely stop. And the look in your eyes was the exact look you had when you dug your heels down and Zelda doubted she could stop you.
Ganon had a giant smile on his face, a light chuckle escaping his throat as he quickly approached you and held you up by your arms, twirling you around in the air with him.
You let out a squeal, realizing just how tall he was as he lifted you over his head slightly. You definitely did not want to be dropped by this man. He had to at least be the size of a small building...
But he quickly stopped twirling you upon realizing your fear of being so high and then brought you close to give your forehead a light kiss. "Thank you, my love, I guarantee you won't regret this."
The sudden term of affection and closeness startled you, causing a bit of blush to adorn your cheeks before he set you down, his head turning to face Rauru.
"It looks as though the Gerudo and Hylian people will be joined with this marriage. I and my warriors were planning to leave in three days. We hope to bring Y/n along so we can plan our wedding together." He states, the echo of his voice roaming through the hall only added further irritation to the king of Hyrule.
Unfortunately, Rauru can not object in public to this marriage. On the surface, it's a good deal. He and his people are guaranteed peace and what would be decent trading for different kinds of fabrics and ores. But deep down, he knew it wouldn't last. Especially since he and Sonia desired to keep you for as long as possible. They had their own plans on how to win your affections, and yet Ganondorf had ruined everything.
Rauru only gave a nod, letting Ganondorf walk you out of the hall.
Sonia turned to look at Rauru, tears forming in her eyes as she grabbed his hand, "What do we do? We can't let her go to a man like that! Much less marry him!" She cries, Zelda, coming to soothe Sonia, silently wishing that Ganondorf would just leave you here at least so she could have more time to try and convince you of how much of a bad idea this was.
As the throne room remained tense, Ganondorf walked with you to the common room where his warriors dwelled, many of the women beamed with smiles when delivered the good news.
While Ganondorf was congratulated, you were surrounded by the tall Gerudo women before being patted on the shoulder. They gave you big smiles and brought you to sit down at a table.
"We are so glad he chose you! You may not be as tall and strong as we are, but his majesty told of us your love for the desert and about your intellect so we are very happy!" One spoke, another set their arm to rest on the table before leaning in a bit, "And you have such soft-looking skin! Undoubtedly you'd be very lovely to hug at night. I'm sure you feel nice and warm for his majesty.".
You could only get embarrassed at their words before laughing awkwardly. The Gerudo sure were extroverted and talkative. Yes, you were more of an introvert, but you found the women's boisterous laughter and big smiles fun to be around.
Ganon meanwhile had pulled out a scroll, laying it on the table, slowly laying it to spread across with what looked to be a layout of sorts.
"This is the plan for the palace, and hopefully, the village that will surround it. Building in the desert is difficult but my tribe has found a spring where the water flows freely. Some of what you told us about how to build and where to build has been very helpful as many of the times we stay in tents or huts made from different types of animal hides." He states.
"I was hoping you could tell me more. I want our wedding ceremony to be held when the palace is built so we could have a proper home to live in." He adds, sitting next to you, keeping his legs on the floor so he would be at eye level with you.
He wanted your input. This would be your home just as it would be his. He wanted a solid home that would hold up and luckily you knew different ways.
You excitedly began forming a proper list of materials to put the palace together, even giving ideas on steady gates for when the village would be made. You gave ideas on how to get the white dye for the tiles to put on the roof and tried your best to think of ways that would be the most efficient and worth it, wracking up the knowledge you've culminated and putting it to use.
You were hoping that by creating a steady environment for the Gerudo tribe and creating a home, the future would not turn out to be too horrible. And that Ganondorf hopefully wouldn't turn out to be the great evil that wants to destroy the kingdom of Hyrule.
And so with that Ganon had sent a messenger bird off with the scroll before returning to sit next to you.
"I didn't prepare a ring." He mutters, a light scowl reaching his lips as he realized his mistake. You put your hand over one of his before smiling, "I'm sure you weren't exactly thinking you'd be in this situation so don't be too hard on yourself. I'm not that picky." You add.
You didn't know much about the wedding traditions of the Gerudo. From what you knew, they didn't marry often, only going outside of the tribe to find someone to have a child with, and some rarely settling outside of the tribe.
And with one male born once every 100 years you didn't know a lot about how that male would choose his bride or even if he chose one. And you never knew if they had children. Information on the Gerudo was harder to get and you tended to focus more on the land whenever you went there, always curious about the desert beyond where the Gerudo stayed.
It's also how you knew about how they built their main village and how they did their best to insulate and keep their people from getting dehydrated in the desert heat.
You knew at this point in time they had yet to build the village since you asked around. You didn't know exactly how far back you and Zelda had traveled but you did know that it was far enough that most villages looked far different than they did in the future.
And because of that you couldn't help but want to help them build it. Even if it meant changing the future wasn't that the point? To prevent certain things from happening?
You didn't want to think about it, shaking your head to rid your thoughts ad you focused on the present.
Ganondorf had gone to prepare for departing, making sure the horses had enough supplies and making sure to pack enough for the long trip back.
It was going to take at least three days of travel, finding that he didn't want to push you too hard just to make it back quicker.
He knew the Gerudo, especially the warriors he brought back, were stronger than the average Hylian. And while he knew his warriors could handle a rough ride back with no breaks, he didn't want to put you through that and risk causing you to fall ill.
When you left to your room to pack your things, bringing along several notebooks where you had written knowledge that you've kept over the years, things you had a harder time remembering all written in a code you developed just for yourself.
It wasn't until the last day that Zelda, Sonia, and Rauru entered your chamber, all with concerned looks on their face. You knew for sure they would try to stop you at any cost if you had told them before the meeting three days ago, but they couldn't cancel it now.
Rauru stayed near the door as Sonia and Zelda approached you. Zelda was the first one to speak, "Are you sure about this Y/n? This really doesn't seem like a good idea. We have no clue what that man is planning!".
You made sure that the cloth bag was well organized, beginning to put the buttons through the buttonhole, ensuring that nothing would slip from the bag after it is closed. You were listening to Zelda go on about the dangers but the moment your bag was closed you went to make sure that there were some you could change into before you left in the morning lying on top of your bag that now rested on a chair.
"Zelda I know you don't think this is a good idea, just as I know that both Sonia and Rauru are willing to let relations with the Gerudo sour. But this is a chance to change the future!" You started, turning to face them, holding your hands together to prevent them from knowing how anxious you truly were.
You squeezed your own fist, your brows furrowed in slight frustration, "I don't know what Link may be dealing with in the future. But couldn't there be a possibility to prevent a tragedy from happening? We both know what happens to the founding Kingdom of Hyrule Zelda. We warned them but it's possible that may not change the fate of the kingdom.".
"So by trying to keep the peace between Ganondorf, who may be the start of the tragedy, and the kingdom of Hyrule, shouldn't that be the priority?" You asked.
Sonia stepped up beside Zelda, her posture straightened and her eyes showing the slight frustration she felt, "I understand you wish to change things but it's possible things may not change. There's the possibility that there's no way to change the future as the events that happen now shape your future. Or the possibility that changing the future could make both you and Zelda disappear from the present." She claimed.
Sonia stepped closer to you, putting a hand on your shoulder and the other to hold your cheek, "Listen Y/n, if you could change the future, that could mean that you would be stuck here and Zelda would go back to her life unknown to what had happened. If things were to go south and you were stuck here, you could be in danger or worse. If you were stuck here and in a place where I or Rauru cannot protect you then you would be the only one to suffer." She insists, putting her forehead to yours as she held you close.
Rauru stepped away from the door and closer to you, pulling Sonia a little bit away as he put his hand on your other shoulder. A certain red-haired male came close to the door about to knock till he realized it was slightly open.
"Me and Sonia care about you. We don't want to see you hurt. The Gerudo will be fine without you. And Ganondorf is a rough individual. A man who has hurt and killed others. And the desert is a rough place where the day is sweltering and the nights with a harsh chill. It is not a place for a fragile Hylian like you." He claims, his eyes narrowing as though to try and scare you out of your decision.
Their words reminded you of how one would talk to a child about the dangers of the world. It irritated you so you took a step away from the royal couple, not realizing the slight possessive look in their eyes turned to one of desire for something they needed to control.
"The desert can be harsh for those that don't understand it. But I've been there! I've done my research and learned. I can help the Gerudo people and maybe they won't resent the harsh nature of the desert much when they can finally dwell in it without worry." You said, determination adorned your face as you stared straight at the three.
"As for Ganondorf, so long as I'm useful and don't get in the way I'm sure I will be fine. While I'm not sure if he loves me or not, I don't think he's a bad man. I'm sure he had to do things to protect his tribe that he wouldn't have had to do if he wasn't born into the role of King. Unless he does something heinous in front of me or there is proof I won't consider him some monster." You finish, putting your foot down on the matter.
Zelda tried to talk again but you wouldn't listen, grabbing a towel so you could prepare a bath. Sonia was visibly upset but Rauru knew they couldn't change your mind, they would need to come up with another solution so he convinced Sonia and Zelda to return to their quarters and he felt regretful as he too left.
There were no traces of the Gerudo King by the time they had left your chambers, but he was quite content with what he heard.
He knew you were far too kind, especially if the rumors about him didn't sway you away from him. But he would need to fix the misunderstanding about his marriage to you.
He needed to make sure you understood that he loved you. He wouldn't marry just because it was beneficial to his tribe. Occasionally, he had trysts with some women of his tribe but they were never candidates to stand by his side.
He wouldn't marry if it wasn't you. No one else would bare his children, and no one else would ever lie in his bed other than you. Once he had you, he wasn't letting go.
And when he finally had you in his territory he would make sure you knew he loved you. He would never want you to think he didn't.
The night was unbearably silent for many in the Hyrule castle. Some had hoped that the Gerudo would attack so that a single person would know their intentions weren't pure. And others had hoped for the night to go by faster, having a desire to return home and help improve it so they wouldn't have to worry about their people any longer.
And as morning came, you brushed your hair, made sure everything was in your two bags, and went to the stables where most of the Gerudo already were, along with the three Hylian Royals that hated to see you go but wanted to at least see you off.
Zelda looked like she would cry, and Sonia stayed in place. Rauru was always the most visibly calm out of the three, but if you looked closely at his eyes, you'd see just how upset he was.
Ganondorf was preparing his horse along with the rest of the Gerudo warriors, his face visibly lit up when he saw you enter the courtyard next to the stables.
"Little Vai! You made it just on time." He said happily, leaning down to get the two bags you had in your hands. He thought you'd have more possessions but didn't question it as he went to latch it onto his horse, which you notice is far larger than any horse you had seen.
While Ganondorf made sure everyone was set to go, you turned to face the Hylian Royals.
Zelda looked upset but you simply embraced her tightly, your head resting on her shoulder as you let out a small sigh, "I know you don't agree, but please don't resent me for this. You and Link are my best friends. I don't know what I'd do without you. That's why let's hope everything goes well, okay?" You asked, trying not to tear up.
You didn't have any family in the future of Hyrule. Your parents had died due to some monsters long ago and you were taken in by Purah as you lived in Hateno Village. Purah was your family, and when you had grown close to Link you finally felt like you had a friend. Link was someone who could share the loneliness you felt.
And when Zelda came along you felt as though you could share your interests with her. So you didn't want her to be so upset.
Zelda nodded silently, you could hear soft sniffles come from her as she held you back just as tightly. You two eventually let go, Zelda gave you what looked to be a book wrapped in a ribbon.
"It's a gift. I'll be attending your wedding of course! But for now, just stay safe, and I know you get bored without too many things to read, so hopefully, you'll enjoy this."
You smiled softly, giving her another hug before you finally faced Rauru and Sonia.
They both looked a bit disappointed, but Sonia couldn't hold back and hugged you tightly, Rauru following just as quickly. It felt so warm and nice to be wrapped in their embrace, and you hugged them both with one arm.
Rauru came close to your ear and whispered, "If he does anything you don't like or tries to hurt you, we'll do anything to get you back here okay? Press the button on this if anything happens and you want to come back. This place will always be a home you can come back to." He said, placing a small Zonai device into your pocket carefully. You reached down into the pocket of the robes you wore, feeling the metal in your hand.
You could feel the slight bump of the button and marks engraved into the metal. You were sure you'd never need to use it but nodded to give Rauru some peace of mind.
They both let you go, Sonia reached a bit to leave a soft kiss on your forehead and gave you a small smile before she let go of you. Sonia didn't think she could say anything without revealing how upset she was so she remained quiet.
Finally, you could set off.
"Ready?" Ganondorf asked, looking down at you. His hand reached out to you after you placed both the device and book into one of your bags. And you took it, nearly squealing when he placed his hands on your hips and put you onto his horse, quickly mounting it afterward.
"Wait! I'm riding with you?" You asked, a little surprised. You had learned horseriding from Link and honestly hadn't expected to ride with Ganondorf.
He let out a soft chuckle, softly patting your head, "My horse's name is Phantom. She's big and strong. She's the only one I trust to carry both you and me. Now hold on tight my love.". With that he took off, his warriors following behind.
He didn't go as fast as he would have normally, not wanting the ride to be too rough for you. Leaving the Great Plateau was relatively easy, with the gate opening and finally setting off past the founding kingdom of Hyrule.
You held onto Phantom, your hands holding onto the edge of the saddle, not wanting to pull on her mane. You could feel Ganondorf behind you, his size doubling yours made you feel like you were completely engulfed by the man.
But you could still feel the wind rush against your cheeks, watching the sights as you travel. Finally, after crossing the bridge to make it to Gerudo Canyon, everyone stopped, setting up a small camp so everyone could rest.
A small tent was set up for you to rest in, one of the warriors smiling as they made sure you had some water to drink set by the cot for you.
The last thing you saw as the tent closed was Ganondorfs' broad back sitting near the entrance of your tent.
You really tried to sleep, but all the excitement about the journey kept you up.
You slowly peeked your head out of the tent, leaning a bit to find the Gerudo King seemingly asleep, sitting cross-legged and his arms crossed.
It looked uncomfortable to sleep like that. You gazed at the couple of scars you could see across his body, and then peered up at his face, taking in his features for a bit.
You knew that if they had really wanted to they could have made the trip back to their home in a day. Especially with how strong the Gerudo were, there was no doubt in your mind that Ganondorf had taken your health and safety into consideration.
It seemed foolish but you took an extra blanket from your tent and slowly wrapped it around his shoulders, standing up on your toes to make sure it would stay before leaving a kiss on his cheek. "Thank you." You whispered, before heading back inside your tent, finally ready to rest for the night.
But of course, the beloved Gerudo King had been awake the whole time, always on alert unless within his own safe space in his village. He touched his cheek, and the biggest grin formed on his face.
Oh, how he adored you.
┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
The next day and night passed, the final day of travel leaving you slightly exhausted with all the riding that you were doing. You felt a bit guilty for ill you felt. But you tried your best to keep quiet the whole time, not wanting to become a bigger inconvenience.
Finally, the party of warriors arrived at Gerudo village, the vast desert surrounding the village and a natural spring forming an oasis.
And you got to see the progress that everyone had done due to your instructions. A couple of houses were built as practice and the main outline of what seemed to be a palace was completely dug out.
Soon after you met a lot of the people within the village, and many children ran around, and in certain areas, warriors practiced or had mock battles.
It was fun to learn more about the people you'd be living among. And like the blink of an eye, a month passed, and you helped the villagers learn techniques to help make houses while Ganondorf was busy with other things.
You and Ganondorf had hardly any time to see each other, occasionally having a meal together. You both prepared for the wedding and for the palace to be completed.
It honestly didn't take long for the palace to be completed either, the knowledge you had helped it go faster and smoother. Plus it was fun to plan out where certain rooms would go. You also helped plan out areas for the village, several more houses being built since you asked for the team that was building the palace to be split up so more people could have houses quickly.
Luckily, Ganondorf agreed with that. It made the village grow, and some people had made lovely white tiles, with blue, green, and yellow tiles mixed in. A couple of the children had some fun and painted the tiles with flowers or different symbols.
You sat on the floor with them, decorating some tiles and painting some regular ones so there would be enough for the next batch.
And while you sat there, surrounded by laughing children who enjoyed your stories and also enjoyed telling you jokes they had learned, you were being watched by Ganondorf. There was a smile on his face as he watched you smile with the children.
A part of him was trying to get things as done as possible, knowing that if a rough sandstorm came, it could seriously affect their progress and the lives of his people. But the other part of him enjoyed this feeling of peace that came with your existence. It made him spend a bit more time on wedding preparations so you two could be wed already.
The palace was nearly finished, and the perfect-sized butte (a/n a butte is like a mesa but smaller!) that contained a spring of what seemed to be a never-ending flow of water was perfect to dig into for the formation of the palace, large arches carved to let fresh air in and slowly building the houses surrounding it.
He didn't know much about decor so he left it to you and the other Gerudo women, some teasing about how big the bed would need to be in the bedroom.
Luckily, he got to trade with more Hylian people for goods and seeds since word of an alliance between the kingdoms was formed. It also made it easier for the Gerudo women to wander through Hyrule in search of a husband or a man to have a child with.
Everything was going to plan. It meant he could start on his other plan to slowly get certain royal Hylians riled up.
He wasn't a fool, he knew how King Rauru and Queen Sonia looked at you. While Zelda had an obsessive sort of friendship with you, he could tell the other two had different interests.
The desire to possess you and never let you go was something he shared in common with the Hylian Royals. But he also deeply enjoyed watching you have fun with the people of his tribe. And he could tell his people were fond of you. You were highly intelligent but didn't show it off as if you knew everything. You told them stories and wanted to hear his people's stories in return, gaining knowledge just as much as you gave it out.
You weren't arrogant or a snob, and you would gently guide those that needed help. And you even asked for help when you needed it. If you were struggling with something or wanted an opinion on something you would ask. And for that, it made it easy to approach you.
The children adored you and so did everyone. The women liked to style your hair, some complementing your figure and how pretty you looked in their traditional clothing.
And you carried a light umbrella made by some of the children around since they didn't think you were used to the desert sun quite yet and insisted you carry it around.
And he loved it. Ganondorf loved that the people enjoyed you almost as much as he did. Despite not getting to see you, he made sure the guards he ordered to follow you would tell him about your day, and when he got to eat meals with you, he loved seeing you enjoy the meal and how you would tell him about aspects of the week or day you enjoyed.
And just like that, more time passed. Four months have passed since you arrived, and it was time for the wedding.
┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
The village was bustling with life, palm trees planted for shade and decor for a grand wedding to be held in the throne room of the palace.
Everyone was invited. Including those of the different lands, not just the Hylians. The Rito, Zora, and the Goron as well.
Everyone had arrived, and surprising to you was that both Rauru and Sonia had joined Zelda in coming to the wedding for the large celebration.
And in a separate room, you were adorned in fine white silk, gold bagels, and a golden headband partially covered by a white veil adorned with intricate embroidery.
You felt nervous, the pants you wore and the top you wore showed off a lot of skin, and you had yet to see Zelda and you needed someone to talk to about how nervous you felt to marry.
Gold bangles and golden anklets, golden earrings, and fine jewels. White silk and the sounds of women chatting joyfully. Everything felt heavy and you couldn't help but pace the room slightly, trying not to chew on your lip or else the makeup that had been applied to your lips would be smeared.
And when you heard a knock on the door you nearly jumped, completely startled till you invited whoever it was in, only to see Zelda there.
You smiled happily, raising your arms to hug her tightly, "Oh I'm so glad you came! I was so worried you wouldn't make it. Please I just need you to distract me 'cause I feel like my heart could burst out of my chest." You say, leading her to a sitting area where the two of you could talk.
Zelda took in how you looked, finding that you looked incredibly beautiful adorned with jewelry and fine silks, getting to see much more than she usually got to see with the clothing most Hylians wore.
Zelda put on a smile, gently rubbing your lower back in hopes to calm your nerves. "It looks like everything has been going well! Everything looks great over here and it nearly looks as stable as the Gerudo of the future! Have things with you and Ganondorf been going well?" She asked, hoping to distract you with conversation.
At that question you raised your hand and shook it, implying a so-so hand signal. "It's so great here! But both of us have been busy and we haven't really gotten to talk or know each other better. Except at meals, but oftentimes, he lets me ramble about all sorts of things and I've realized I've never really asked about him or how he feels." You say, looking down at your lap to fiddle with your hands.
Zelda looks at you slightly concerned but tries to mask it, not wanting to ruin your day even if she wasn't really happy about the wedding she didn't want you to hate her.
"Perhaps after this day, things will change. I'm sure you two will finally have the time to relax after this no?" She says. And you found her to be right. Things were slowing down and this wedding was the last big thing going on in the village.
You and Zelda talked until it was time for the ceremony to start.
Zelda returned to Rauru and Sonia to tell them about your concerns and if you looked healthy.
All the tribes sat in their own respective areas, and the Hylian King and Queen sat with Zelda next to them, both of them having their stomachs churn at the thought of you getting married.
But before they could fall deeper into their thoughts, the large figure of Ganondorf came to the front of the room, a priest already there, the space around the throne room decorated with white silks embroidered with golden thread.
That's one thing the Gerudo would always have an abundance of. Their gems and the purity of their metals are amazing. It's why trading with them had been far more satisfying for the Hylains recently.
But Rauru didn't care about the situation between them. He wanted you back where you belonged, by his and Sonias' side.
Honestly, he wasn't sure when the obsession started. Maybe it was the way you would be so talkative and bring a certain warmth to every room you walked into. Or the way he got to see Sonia's eyes light up when you would come to spend time with them.
It was one night when Rauru was restless in bed, Sonia laying by his side and she started to speak, "I think I want her to stay with us.". She turned on her side to face him, Rauru turning slightly to look at her.
"Something about her is so comforting. She takes in everything about others and the world around her. She's so kind and wonderful. A little stubborn but I enjoy her company so much I fear as though I'm betraying you. And yet I find myself wanting her here, between the both of us." She whispers, her voice nearly trembling as if speaking of the topic would make a city crumble.
Rauru gave Sonia a small kiss before putting his hand on her cheek, "I feel the same way, my love. It's okay. I do not feel betrayed just as you know I would never betray you. We can have her together no? To share and be ours and to be hers. It will take some time but I'm sure it will happen." He states, assuring his beloved wife that everything will be fine, already envisioning their child accepting you as another parent and possibly welcoming another chid. That night they slept in each other's arms before eventually, Ganondorf would come to whisk you away.
Shaken out of his reminiscing, he notices everyone begin to look back, your figure becoming clear, draped in fine gold jewelry and white silk. The veil with traditional Gerudo embroidery made with fine golden threads.
He couldn't help but clench his jaw at the sight. He couldn't help but think that this should have never happened. It should have been you dressed in fine silks, strewn about the bed, your head in Sonia's lap while Rauru finishes up a little reading.
And yet he couldn't stop this. But he reminded himself to be patient. After all he had a plan.
And yet there you were, walking slowly, anxiously holding a bouquet of what looked to be violets, a flower you chose even though this kind grew mostly on the cliffside, it was one of your favorites for its tenacity to grow in rougher areas.
It was the one thing that was more difficult to get for the wedding ceremony but Ganondorf assured you it wouldn't be a problem.
And when you finally made it to the altar, where Ganondorf stood, you looked up at his face to see the biggest smile you had ever seen. He looked so genuinely happy you were wondering if you truly meant something to him.
But you ignored that thought, trying to enjoy the moment. Marriage was something that you didn't think you'd be doing again. You wanted to enjoy it so you gave him a soft smile, the priest started his words, a traditional speech used to tie the groom and bride to each other.
When asked if he would care for you, Ganondorf smiled and said "Yes.". In return so did you, the words leaving your lips just as sure as when you accepted his proposal of marriage.
There were cheers heard and before you could even blink you were held tightly before given a kiss on your lips, realizing that it was Ganondorf, your now husband who was kissing you. You kissed back and gently wrapped an arm around him despite not being able to come close to his size.
He finally pulled apart, lifting you up and twirling you around, just as happy as he was when you accepted his proposal. Ganondorf looked at you like you were his world.
As soon as that was said and done, the celebration started, and all sorts of Gerudo women around the village gathered to drink, eat, and dance. The Zora and Rito enjoyed dancing as well, the Goron were more curious about the structure and differences in food compared to the Gerudo and sat with some asking questions.
But the Hylians that came were just as happily dancing away, all except for the Royal couple who ate silently, mostly the King and Queen holding tension as they watched you sit on Ganondorfs lap, your cheeks adorned with a blush that nearly reached the tips of your ears.
You were being hand fed, trying to claim that you were full and Ganondorf would try to feed you just one last bite of fruit.
And honestly? Ganondorf was loving every second of your attention. He loved the way your eyes looked up at him and how beautiful you looked dressed in fine jewelry and silk.
He couldn't help but give you another kiss, smiling as he set down the bowl of fruit and brought you close. When he pulled back he loved seeing your face scrunch up and your eyes open a bit to face him again.
It wasn't until he decided to stand up and pull you to the dance floor that you finally let loose of your fear and nerves, a bright smile adorning your lips as you danced with him, other Gerudo women joining you.
You were happy as you watched the women dance, trying to learn from them and copy their movements, Ganondorf moving along with you, the crowd smiling and cheering as they watched their King and now Queen dance, the music in the background adding nicely to the scene.
It was so lovely that no one could notice a couple distraught Hylian nobles who looked on with envy.
The night carried on, growing colder as the night reached its peak, and Ganondorf and you prepared to sleep. While Ganondorf was slightly nervous, the urge to have you in his arms made his heart ache.
But you were in a dressing room right next to your shared chambers, a Gerudo woman known as Inesa had been by your side for your stay here, helping you get used to customs and advising you carefully. And tonight she was insisting on a sheer fabric that you told her covered absolutely nothing.
Inesa only shook her head and motioned for you to get dressed after shoving the piece of what you could only call lingerie into your hands, "Trust me, the wedding night is when you want to be teasing while also showing the most. He'll long for more after that! And I'm sure his majesty would love to see you in that." She assured, quickly leaving the room so you couldn't continue to protest.
You found yourself giving in, adorning the sheer garment and slowly opening the door, peeking out to see if Ganondorf was already asleep.
And he definitely was not, sitting on the edge of the very large bed and you knew he was probably waiting for you. The bed was one of the things Ganondorf had told you that he would handle. And you were glad because you knew his large frame would be a nightmare for anyone to try and fit a bed for.
The bed had its own platform, fine silks and cotton with all sorts of fabric filled the bed, pillows covered most of the headboard and you could have sworn the bed could be as big as a house back in your village.
You take a deep breath before walking out, looking down as you stride right to the bed and sit down next to him.
You couldn't look at his face, and he was eerily silent, his hand clenching into a fist as his cheeks lit aflame. You were about to look up but he quickly covered your eyes.
"You look amazing my love. I just need a moment to take you in and compose myself." He claimed, trying to look anywhere other than your soft skin and how nicely the sheer fabric looked on your figure.
When he finally felt a little in control of his impulse to rut into you like an animal he slowly tilted your chin up, focusing your gaze on him. He kept eye contact with you before putting a hand on your hip.
"I want you. I want all of you. I didn't ask to marry you just out of benefit but something about you called to me like a legend of treasure beckoning an adventurer." He claimed, his large hand resting on your hip, his thumb brushing back and forth on your bare skin. "But I don't wish to force you to do something with a man you don't even love. So if I have your permission, is it alright if I go further? To please you?" He asks, his voice making you melt as you nod, his eyes gazing at you telling you he wants a verbal answer.
You knew that you were worried about whether he loved you or not due to the fact you had already fallen for him, his rough nature but kind smiles and protective demeanor winning you over.
"Yes" Is all he needed to pick you up, spreading your thighs against his lap, lifting you up a bit to leave sloppy kisses against your neck. You kept your hands against his torso, his chest right against your palms.
You could feel his heartbeat right under your hands, a strong and fast heartbeat as he stood up with you in his arms, rearranging himself on the bed and flinging off the sheer fabric to show you in all your glory.
You attempted to reach for the clasp that held his robes, but it was too far up on his shoulder to reach. Ganondorf let out a chuckle before undoing the clasp himself, his robes discarded and his pants discarded as well.
His loincloth was the only thing preventing you from seeing his cock but you didn't need to see the whole thing to see the massive bulge straining against the cloth. You nervously gulped, taking a deep breath as anxiety pooled in your stomach.
Ganondorf noticed the change and smiled before laying another kiss on your forehead. "Don't worry my love. I'm not so cruel to force you on me right away. I'll take my time with you my little vai." He claimed, embarrassment running through you at his words.
He carefully pulled pillows for you to lay on, your plump thighs spread out to show your lovely garden to him.
He loved the way you shivered as he laid down, his head below yours and his lips right in front of your lower lips, the soft breath teasing you as you squirmed. He couldn't help but take it all in.
The sight of you in front of him was something he wanted to be seared into his mind. Your nervous gaze, how your arms came together to hold your chest, and the slight tremble in your thighs to hold back the urge to close your legs.
He soon wrapped his arms around your thighs, keeping them spread and close to him. He knew that his size would be too much, so isn't it better to please and prep his wife for what was to come?
Before you could even ask him to stop staring like a man deprived of water he gently licked a stripe against your lower lips, his tongue stopping on your clit before wrapping his lips around the small bud.
Frightened by the sudden pleasure, the urge to close your legs became stronger but his arms stayed steady, no amount of force you could muster would compare to his strength.
He gently parted your lower lips, gently licking up all the nectar coming from your cunt. Ganondorf could feel his cock ache from the taste, a slight groan leaving his lips before he reached to suck your clit again.
The gasps and slight moans that leave your lips only egg him on. He feels you lightly run your fingers through his hair, his long hair slowly getting grasped by your fingers. Light groans escaped his lips when you would tug, the sounds vibrating a bit against your clit.
It wasn't long till he slowly pushed his tongue inside you, his tongue large enough to stretch your delicate walls. His nose buried against your clit, the pleasure too much as you cum, your thighs squeezing more against his arms, and your fingers grasping his hair tighter.
He felt you cum around his tongue, his cock leaking and escaping through the side to rest against the sheets.
You looked down, tears filling your eyes from pleasure you hadn't received before. He smiled, rubbing your clit with his thumb lightly to check your sensitivity, noticing the slight pull against his thumb.
He carefully gathers your slick around his middle finger, gazing down at your pussy before looking at your face. "I have to prep you, darling. It might hurt and if it hurts too much tell me and I'll stop okay?" He says, emphasizing that he'll stop at any point you need.
You nod and he carefully teases your entrance, slowly pushing the tip of his finger in, watching your face for any sign of discomfort. He made sure to trim his nails before the wedding. He never wants to cause you harm, arranging things in the background carefully.
He slowly thrusts that finger till he feels the hymen, and carefully he breaks it, watching your brows furrow at the sudden pain. He carefully waits a minute, waiting even if you didn't say anything he doesn't want to risk it.
Ganondorf then slowly starts to thrust his finger, slowly gaining confidence as you start to enjoy it, noticing the small amount of blood on his fingers but such a thing never bothered him. He uses his other hand to rest his thumb on your clit, eventually adding another finger to stretch you open.
He sometimes rubs your clit, especially when he adds a third finger, noticing how much your entrance refuses to budge as easily as it did with only two. He leans down again to gently suck your clit, trying to reach that perfect spot and after a bit he finally finds it, watching your hips jerk when he presses his fingers against that special spot.
He watches you fall into pleasure and reaches down to palm his cock, his slick leaking against the sheets and he could nearly cum just from the taste of your cunt lingering on his tongue.
He couldn't help but groan, his cock aching but he continued to stretch you. You could feel the burn that came with your entrance being stretched but you could also feel it turn to pleasure, the right spot being hit with every thrust, his fingers teasing you, and the groans you heard only adding to how much you desired him.
"It's okay.." You whispered, your eyes finding his as you attempted to relax your thighs. "I want you Gan." was all you could muster to say. And that's all he needed as he gently lined up his cock to your entrance.
You thought he had stretched you but now you were wondering if that was enough. His 11-inch monstrosity was so thick you doubted you could wrap your hand around it. But you shook off your anxious thoughts, anticipating him to thrust it in but he slowly teased your cunt, the tip of his cock brushing against your entrance all the way up to your clit and back.
He reached to the bedside, a decorated pitcher in his hands before oil spilled on his hands. The oil warmed up in his hands before lathering it on his cock. Letting his fingers trail a bit of oil on your lower lips and teased your entrance.
Ganondorf slowly edged himself inside you, the stretch making you grab the sheets. His torso kept your thighs spread, his left hand holding himself up by your waist and his right hand holding his cock. He could feel your hand reach for his wrist, holding on tightly as tears slowly fell down your cheeks.
He could barely get inside, only about two inches in before he pulled out, only to enter again.
He carefully thrust, getting slightly deeper each time, groans spilling out of his mouth continually before he bit his lip. He couldn't stand it anymore, his cock ached and he kept still inside of you.
He could only get to about five inches, his cock straining as he started to pump the rest of his cock, his other hand reaching to brush against your clit.
He would enter you fully one day, but right now he needed you. And before you knew it you came again, your walls sucking him and his continuous pumps bringing him right to the edge and came.
His cum filled you, giving you a sensation you had never experienced.
You both came down from your high, Ganondorf pulling out and looking down, watching his seed spill out of you made him give into the urge to gently finger it back inside, his desire to breed you just as strong as his desire to have you.
He watched you, your eyes fluttering and your form relaxing into the pillows underneath you. He couldn't help but smile, rubbing your hips softly and leaving a kiss on your cheek. He left to grab a wet cloth, coming back to your sleeping form. He gently wiped your body so you wouldn't wake up too uncomfortable.
While he really wanted to stay in bed with you, he had some plans to complete, leaving his chambers heavily guarded as he approached the meeting place of a letter that was supposed to make it to you.
And there in the cold desert night stood Rauru, his demeanor unshaken as he laid his eyes on the Gerudo King.
Rauru only shook his head, a chuckle of disbelief leaving his throat. Anyone could notice the clear disgust he held for the man in front of him. Yet Ganondorf only kept a sly grin on his face.
"Sorry to interrupt what I'm sure would be a very meaningful conversation, but my wife and I were busy." He stated, emphasizing the word wife. Oh, how he loved how Raurus' face twisted and his brows furrowed.
"Cut the nonsense Ganondorf. I never wanted you to marry Y/n. She shouldn't be with a wretched man like you." He states, stepping closer, "And I'm sure you know that. She needs stability, a place where she can thrive and learn all she wants to learn. Not with a man like you who would monopolize her." he finishes.
Ganondorf can only laugh, a hand reaching to cover his mouth to prevent him from being too loud to alert the guards. As much as he trusted them, he'd rather only a few know about the rivalry between the Gerudo King and the Royals of Hyrule, all of them vying for your love and affection.
"I'm sorry to say but I have not monopolized her in the slightest! I have encouraged her to get close to those in the village and do as she pleases. She's free to roam with a guard at her side just as she did inside your castle. Except I let her roam the village instead of staying cooped up inside the castle hm?" He sneers, his eyes narrowing at the Zonai King.
He steps closer, his back straightening, "And not to mention, she chose me." he adds.
"She chose to trust me, to marry me!" He exclaims, smiling before staring at the man in front of him, keeping eye contact for his next sentence, "And she chose to lay with me.".
At that, the Rauru rose his fist but Ganondorf put his hand up, bringing his finger to his lips to indicate silence, "I wouldn't attack here. What would she think if one of the people she trusted started to destroy the work she had done for others? Not to mention, after such a joyous occasion?" he mocked.
He turned his back to the Zonai King, opening the door back into the hall, "Now if you'll excuse me, nights are cold here in the desert and I don't want my queen to grow cold without my presence.".
Ganondorf walked back to your shared chambers, seeing you slightly stir awake. He laid with you under the sheets, coming close to you, a hand resting on your hip.
"Gan?" you questioned, gazing up at him slightly fatigued at all that had happened during the day and night. He let out a hum, moving a bit of hair out of your face to gaze upon your beauty. "Tell me more about you. I want to know of your greatest joy and your greatest sorrow." you said.
At that, he smiled, and some part of the night was spent whispering stories about each others' memories and fears. a slight cold wind blowing through the cold desert night.
Yet it was always so warm within Ganondorfs' arms.

if you wrote totk how would you approach link losing his arm? i feel like they were so close to something impactful and then they just hit reset.
Ooooo aaaaa I don’t know if my approach would be any better, but I would definitely stick with the arm being lost. A chopped off limb is a chopped off limb. He already had a close call with death and it took 100 years to recover. Growing back an arm like a lizard would be weird even with “but time magic brought it back”
This story felt like it was about losing things and making sacrifices, even if it’s an integral part of urself (links sword arm). To rewind back and give link his normal arm felt like as much of a missed beat as Zelda saying the entire time she was a dragon it was like she was dreaming (kudos to fans incessantly still going with her being conscious the entire time). This could have been an great opportunity for a line that is similar to the one from botw about courage never being forgotten (in the theme of memory loss) but this time about still being urself no matter the sacrifice
I feel like the arm rauru gave link should have disintegrated. Rauru accomplished what he needed and now he is at peace, this part of him should go as well. I think in the epilogue link could’ve easily had a mechanical arm, it wouldn’t have felt out of place. Or even if the epilogue was longer maybe there could’ve been a glimpse of a new arm being made for him by Purah or her team. Not having the arm back as it was does not mean it’s not a happy ending, u cannot go back to how things were but that is okay. I feel like that could have been an affirming last note from that game but instead it felt like there could have been no happiness without a reset

TotK Link
Okay, I know not everyone has played Tears of the Kingdom, nevertheless finished (I know I haven't), but I just have brainrot that I need to spread.
And I now have the platform to do so >:)
So, of course, Spoilers under the cut!
CW: Yandere, TotK spoilers!
Tumblr media
・❥・So, this can go two ways. One, TotK Link is Wild who was taken mid-adventure with the other Links. Or, two, this is an entirely different Link, kind of like Calamity (AoC Link-- there are some great headcanons about him -> Here! Go check them out they are so, so good.).
・❥・I like both ideas! But, let's talk about the second option.
・❥・So, imagine, the chain and Reader are coming through a portal to this new Hyrule. Or, well, they think it's new. It's oddly reminiscent of Wild's Hyrule only...bigger. There are islands in the sky, holes covered in what appears to be malice in the ground. People are more abundant, there are towers standing, glowing a welcoming red rather than the golden towers in Wild's Hyrule.
・❥・It's so different, but yet so familiar.
・❥・Now, it's evident that this Link is a little more...Feral. Look at his hair and tell me otherwise, you can't. This man had won. He had won, gotten his victory over the Calamity and was supposed to have the rest of his life to settle down. But he didn't. It was ripped away from him once more. Not only that, but he was thrown back to square one. Gloom now riddled his veins making him feel like he was newborn fawn stumbling out of the Shrine once more. So he's probably livid. Angry with Hylia and fate, and Ganon and and and-
・❥・He has no patience left to offer.
・❥・Zelda was supposed to have unlocked her sealing powers, no? And she did nothing. Actually, that's a lie. She used them to save herself. He was left dying again and she saved herself. After he destroyed the Master Sword, the only thing that made him anyone, protecting her. Destroyed his arm. Destroyed himself. And she saved herself. Rauru had to protect him. Had to save his life before Zelda did.
・❥・So, yeah, he's a little less...companionable. He had to save someone who wouldn't give two shits about him again. He thought they had improved their relationship, but he guesses not. Betrayal runs deep in his gut, igniting a fiery inferno that burns on spite.
・❥・And the worst part about it? Everyone around him is praising that damned Princess. For the bare minimum. Showing them a recipe, building a school that should've been there years ago, hell, even just having a horse got her praise out the ass.
・❥・He was tired of it.
・❥・People stay out of his way a lot more. He wears a look that promises some form of harm should someone cross him, and he's more than willing to deliver. Because now, it's not just the one land of Hyrule. Now he has to deal with the Sky Islands and the Zonai creations. Now he has to deal with the depths and all of those creatures which just bring back the gloom he dispels. And he's so over it.
・❥・Now, picture if you will, Reader falling through the portal, separated from the chain, scared and alone. Reader thinking they're in Wild's Hyrule, but his doesn't quite look like this, does it? Reader thinking that, hey, at least they're hidden and in a forest, only Oh Sweet Goddess Above-- THE TREES ARE MOVING-
・❥・Reader doesn't know what to do because THE TREES ARE COMING AFTER THEM, they were forbidden from having a weapon (Because why would they be separated ever? They were there to protect their sweet reader? why would they need to burden themselves with a weapon when the Links could fight for their honor?), and THE TREES WERE ATTACKING THEM-
・❥・But, here comes their knight in shining armor- or some sort of blue tunic. Honestly, the tunic was styling if we're being honest; the open back and split sides along the hips? (Iykyk)
・❥・The trees are taken care of easily and the blond is turning to look at reader.
・❥・Reader just knows. "...I'm gonna guess your name is Link?"
・❥・And while on the outside, all he gives is a simple nod, it's anything but simple. You, this gorgeous being that he just so happened upon, recognized him. It seemed that without Zelda parading him about like some show dog for all of Hyrule, people didn't know who he was. but you? You did? You knew who he was? And the way you were staring at him was like you knew what he had done. The sacrifices he had given. And you were thankful and appreciative. Which was all he asked for.
・❥・You then thank him (You THANKED him) for saving your life and explain that you had been separated from your group. (Group? You had a group? And they just...let you out of their sight?) He offers to help you look for them and you eagerly accept.
・❥・Now, he latches onto you pretty quickly. Your already used to all the Link-isms so he isn't much different. The silence, the constantly guarded exterior, your used to all of it. And it just convinces him further that you're perfect for him.
・❥・Eventually the rest of the chain do pop up. But this Link isn't convinced their safe, after all, Ganon could make puppets out of everyone. Whose to say their not puppets or Yiga? It's better to stay with him, can't you see that?
・❥・The chain obviously have a different opinion on the matter, Legend all but Demanding you back. Hyrule and Four try to placate this Link, while Wild, Wind and even Twilight are trying to think of way of just scooping you up and running. Sky and Warriors are trying to barter with this Link (What does he want? Fairies? Potions? Money? They could have it all should he just give you back). Time is the only one to recognize that this is still a Link. He still wants what's best for you. That doesn't mean he trusts him.
・❥・If Fierce Deity and First are int he group at this point, they too are probably either trying to manipulate explain to this Link that they are in fact your aforementioned group or are just barely holding onto the shred of sanity left thats stopping them from simply doing away with this obstacle.
・❥・But this Link, like all Links, is stubborn. Not just a regular stubborn either. He has learned the hard way that if he wants something, he's going to have to fucking cling to it to keep it. And he's not losing you. Eventually they explain the situation after a bit of your pestering and he loosens up, just the slightest, to take in their words. That doesn't mean he lets go though. Oh no, he just lets them meander closer without threatening a flame throwing at them.
・❥・He's sort of indifferent to Wild, I would think, since they're kind of the same person. He was just dealt the shittier hand.
・❥・When asked where Zelda is, he simply points up (Maybe her name is Natura? Idk, I'm uncreative). He does not elaborate. They don't ask him to.
・❥・Now, it's obvious you have just claimed this Link. He's yours. Sorry not sorry. It's just a matter of taking him with you. He's insistent on not leaving your side. The Demon King isn't actually doing anything, other than unleash monsters the people of his land are already familiar with. This is obviously a new threat and he's a Link isn't he?
・❥・In terms of names? Maybe he's the hero of the Zonai because Tears of the Kingdom doesn't really give us much to work with. Maybe they call him both Zonai and Sage. I like Sage, so I'm going with that.
・❥・The way he fights is fast and brutal, delivering hits that dissipate his enemies own mobility before delivering a fatal last hit. He's a unit of a man, probably like Twilight, if not a little smaller. (Have you seen the shit he has to lug around? Mans is built.) Same height as Wild though, just more built.
・❥・As for the type of Yandere he is? He's on you. Constantly. He is hovering over you because anything and everything can be ripped away from him in an instant, as Hylia as so helpfully shown. He is making sure nothing gets the chance to get closer to you. And he's using his new abilities to do so. Wild is probably interested in the abilities and the arm and the tech, since his Hyrule, after Sage's, is the most technologically advanced.
・❥・He's inspecting your food, checking your person every time you disappear out of his sight for a second, snarling at people who attempt to talk to you.
・❥・The group have to keep him in check like an untrained puppy.
・❥・Oh, but how he laps up the attention Reader bestows upon him. He is such a cuddle hog and he knows it, smirking smugly at the others while you hold him close because oh how his arm hurts so badly, didn't you know? Oh, how the gloom has him feeling absolutely rotten, please can he just lay with you for a while? Just until he settles back once more? Pretty please?
Anyway, those are my thoughts for now, feel free to add your own!

Make It Up | Rauru/Reader NSFW
Tumblr media
Description: 1.8k words | Rauru comes to bed late but he’s determined to make it up to you. | Requested by @deniixlovezelda
Tags: fem!autonomy (no specified gender), size difference, belly bulge, fingering, penetrative sex, breeding kink
Pointed but harmless nails trailed across your skin as you woke. You didn’t get the chance to open your eyes before he pulled you against his chest. You arched your neck as he buried his nose in it. You stretched your legs while he practically claimed you by rubbing his face along your neck.
His breath came out in a warm puff against your skin. “I didn’t mean to keep you waiting.”
“Well you did,” you said as you reached back to grab his hand and pull it around your body.
He pushed up the fabric of your sleep dress and dragged his nails down your stomach. “Let me make it up to you.”
His hand traveled further and further up but did nothing beyond that until you gave him the go ahead. “I’m listening,” you said as you leaned further into his touch so you could nose his cheek.
He chuckled to himself. He moved to grope one of your breasts. He messaged the softer skin for a moment before he tweaked at the nipple. He curled his thumb around the bud before he took it between two fingers and began to roll it between them.
His other hand drew just barely there line down your back before he lifted your hips so he could get it around the front of you. With the briefest time spent away from your chest, he made quick work of your underwear and went back to playing with your other nipple.
He kissed your shoulder softly, sharp teeth barely scraping your skin just mere inches from your pulse.
“Rauru,” you whispered in the silent air.
“Yes, my darling?”
You wrapped your arm around his neck to pull him closer, “More, I need more than just teasing for you to make it up to me.”
“Of course, dear.”
He kissed the back of your neck right before he let his hand wander down to where you truly wanted him. His fingers breached your folds and entered the warmth between.
He gave a small moan that vibrated through his chest. “I love how wet you get for me,” he said. “So good, so perfect.”
His fingers stayed still for a moment before he began circling your vagina. He teased and toyed by pressing against it but never hard enough to enter.
“Rauru,” you said as a beg, a warning, you weren’t exactly sure.
“Do you want it tonight?” he asked.
Your eyes fell closed as they rolled back just at the thought of him filling you. “Please. I want it, please.”
He pressed his fingers inside as he nipped at your ear. It wasn’t hard enough to break skin but it was hard enough to bruise.
“Then you’ll have it,” he said.
His fingers curled inside you as he pulled them in and then out again. He pushed them in with enough force to knock you a bit back, so you could feel the press of his hard length against your thigh.
“Fuck,” you said, dragging out the word due to the stimulus. “Rauru, I need you. I need it.”
He hushed you as he ran his free hand up and down your side. “I know. I just want to make sure you’re ready,” and he punctuated his sentence by adding another finger inside.
You shifted your hips in an attempt to get him to speed up this process. You knew he was right, however. It’d been a while since you two had both the time and the energy to do this. You needed to be prepared no matter how much you also needed him inside.
“Rauru,” you begged.
He only replied by shushing you more.
His fingers did curl against your g-spot. Although, you couldn’t figure out if it was intentionally timed with your beg or not and you didn’t exactly care.
You shifted your hips down on his fingers. He wrapped his free arm around your waist and held you in place. He added a fourth finger.
“Fuck me,” you told him. “Please, Rauru, please just fuck me.” When he didn’t relent his slow explorations, you went for what you knew would be the kill, “Make love to me, please. Fuck me. Spill your seed in me. Fill me up with your babies, Rauru. Breed me. Please, I need it.”
Rauru went still. You could feel him tense and not just his fingers but his cock twitch against you. He slowly exhaled against your hair.
His fingers retracted, leaving you with a whine from you as you felt yourself be empty.
“You want that?” he asked.
“I need it,” you told him. “I need you. I need you to breed me, Rauru.”
You felt him pant behind you. His fingers curled between your folds, barely brushing against your clit causing you to let out a small noise. He pulled you a bit further down the bed. Then he raised one of your legs so it rested over his.
His long, thick length stretched you slowly. It was bordering on painful how big he was inside you. He went as far inside as he could and even then some of him remained outside. He exited at the same slow pace and then entered in again.
He pressed his free hand to your stomach. He petted it. “I’ll breed you, darling,” he said. “I’ll take such good care of you.”
He kept the slowness, allowing you to adjust and get used to the intrusion, for several thrusts. Then he began to pick up the pace until it was fast, sharp, and quick.
You could feel the stretch. You could feel him everywhere. There wasn’t a place left untouched by the feeling of him and it turned you into a mindless, moaning mess.
One hand went to your clit to work it in time with his thrusts while the other continued to pet at your stomach. You could feel him twitch inside you each time he could feel himself when he thrusted into you.
It had taken so long to convince him that you wouldn’t break during sex. You thought it would take even longer to get him comfortable with seeing a bulge form when he thrusted into you. You had been wrong. He actively enjoyed seeing and feel himself fill you so much that you both could see him create a but if anything it made him want to have sex with you more.
He pushed down on the bulge occasionally. He moaned loud and wantonly when he did.
It was that, that sound combined with the stimulation he was giving you which pushed you over the edge. You clenched around him, unable to clench as much as your body wanted you to, leaving you whining and pulling him close as you kicked your legs. Your body was telling you to stop, to get off him because it was too much but you didn’t listen. You wanted it. You wanted too much even if it made your vision turn white for a moment.
Your grip on him loosened as you came down from your high. You sighed and pressed yourself as close to him as you could get as he still thrusted into you.
The rest of the world seemed to be in a haze. It was like it was frayed at the edges, as a blanket would be. Everything seemed to have the comfort of a blanket as well. You and Rauru wrapped in a blanket of blizzful haze was your world at the moment and you wouldn’t change it.
You reached behind you to stroke his ears lazily. “Come on,” you encouraged with a voice barely there. “Fill me up, dear. You can do it. Go ahead, breed me.”
His hands had moved from your clit so he could wrap his arms around you. He kept you in place as he thrusted into you. You could feel him exhale against your hair as you played with his soft, long ears and spoke words of encouragement.
He grunted and with a final thrust and shaking sound between a moan and a sigh, he came inside you. You could feel him fill you to what was nearly a breaking point but to break would be an honor at this point. His hand settled on the bump created by his dick inside you. The warmth flooded you and you could feel the overflow begin to leak out of you.
He stayed there for a moment. He held you tight as he steadied himself. He nuzzled his nose to the top of your head.
“Did I make it up to you?” he asked.
You could only hum as you scratched at the soft under scruff where his ear connected to his head. He turned his head and moved one hand to gently grasp your wrist. He kissed your palm.
The both of you stayed like that for a moment before he slowly began to pull out, eliciting a whine. He shushed you and petted at your skin. Even after he fully exited, he held you close.
“I’m going to get some things to clean us up, alright?” he said and though you hated for him to leave, you gave your affirmation.
He let a hand stay on you for as long as he could before he had to leave the vicinity of the bed. He squeezed your ankle before he left the room. He came back mere seconds later but without him it was cold.
When he returned with a piece of damp cloth, he placed his hand on your thigh as he began to carefully clean. He squeezed and massaged your skin while he worked. He paused when you tensed or made a noise and waited until you told him to continue.
As soon as he was done, he tossed the cloth into a bin of dirty clothes so he wouldn’t have to leave you and crawled in the bed. He turned you around so you could face him and immediately you wrapped your arms around him and entangled your legs together. He wrapped an arm around your middle and engulfed you with warmth.
His hand went to your head. For a moment he simply cradled it and ran his fingers through your hair. Then he gently tugged on it to force you to look at him. He used this position to place a kiss to your lips that was long and sweet.
“I love you, my darling heart,” he said. “Sleep well.”
And cuddled up with him with a contentment like no other swarming in your chest, you did.

Finding Link after he goes missing (TotK)
Link x reader
A/N: obvious spoilers for Tears of the Kingdom, gender neutral reader
It’s been a hot minute, hasn’t it? OG fans know I’ve written for LoZ before, so why not start again?
Tumblr media
You dropped everything once you saw him again
His hair was down, his garb different and seemingly aged
And of course, you cannot help but be distracted by the arm that was in the place of his original flesh
But you didn’t care, days of worry and fatigue were really what lead your thoughts at the moment
As you rushed to your silent lover, you could tell something was weighing on him.
His eyes were tired, his blond hair wind-swept and messy; an appearance he would previously refuse to show
He seems to regain some light in his eyes after he sees you, though
But you know him too well. There is a heavy weight on his shoulders, a permanent furrow in his brow
You bring him with you to sit down on a nearby bench, comfortingly caressing his shoulder
With few words, he explains all that had happened
Zelda’s disappearance, Rauru, the islands above, the dangers below, etc.
You knew he had felt guilt like this before, especially many years ago when the champions fell and the calamity struck
And it wouldn’t be easy to have this guilt shed
But now was different.
He wasn’t alone anymore, he had you
And that, already, made him feel so much more secure

Thanks for reading!

Sidon, Yunobo, Riju, Tulin and Link reacting to finding out you are the light dragon
For Tulin it will be platonic!
Tumblr media
Sidon
Tumblr media
🦈 As soon as Sidon heard news about your disappearance, he wanted to go searching for you as soon as possible, but with the sludge situation going on, he couldn't leave Zora's Domain.
🦈 He had hoped that he would learn something about your whereabouts when he and Link arrived at the water temple.
🦈 He did learn about what happened to you and where you were, but not the way he expected or hoped.
🦈 Learning about your transformation into the Light Dragon, he could feel his heart shatter as from what his ancestor explained, that there was no way for you to return to your former self.
🦈 But knowing Sidon, he will not give up on you.
🦈 He will fight alongside Link and the other sages to defeat the Demon King, and he knew that they will stop at nothing to turn you back.
Yunobo
Tumblr media
This gif was made by my friend @heyhellohihowareyou who made some Yunobo gifs since my phone won't let me post any gifs or pics of my own, but luckily it works on my laptop so I can post gifs and pics on there! I just hope the issue gets fixed soon!
💎 When Yunobo first found out that you went missing when the upheaval started, he went into a state of panic, he couldn't bear the thought of you being hurt, or even lose you.
💎 But when his ancestor showed a vision of the Sage of Time visiting him, Yunobo couldn't believe it.
💎 Apparently during the upheaval, you were sent back in time to the beginning of the kingdom of Hyrule and you played a part in the imprisoning war against the Demon King.
💎 That's when his ancestor showed another memory, this time it showed the four sages standing a good distance away from the Temple of Time as a bright golden light emerged near the temple along with a loud roar.
💎 His ancestor explained that you had gone through a forbidden process called draconification in order to restore the master sword and deliver it to Link.
💎 Yunobo was crushed to hear that there was no way for you to return to your original form, but he still held hope that they would end up finding a way to turn you back.
Riju
Tumblr media
⚡Riju was crushed when she heard about your disappearance when the upheaval happened.
⚡ She would have gone out to help aid the search for you, but she couldn't with the gibdo situation, but she promised herself that when things were back to normal, she would go look for you.
⚡ When Link showed up and explained about what happened when the upheaval began, as well as finding tears that contained memories of what happened to you, she felt a sense of relief knowing you weren't hurt.
⚡ But when she was informed about you turning into the light dragon from her ancestor, she was hurt.
⚡ She knew that you did what you did for the sake of Hyrule, but she wouldn't be able to see the real you again.
⚡However, when she heard about Impa looking for a way that could change you back, Riju felt hopeful.
⚡If there is a way to bring you back, she will help in any way that she can.
Link
Tumblr media
⚔ After waking up from everything that has happened, from you falling into the abyss and dissapearing in a golden light as well as being saved by the mysterious arm, Link was determined to find you.
⚔ He would never let anything stop him from trying to figure out where you were.
⚔ So when he saw the first memory, where you ended up in King Rauru and Queen Sonia's care back to the beginning of Hyrule, he knew he had to find the rest, holding onto hope that it could help him find a way to bring you back to your time.
⚔ But after watching all the memories, and watching as you emerged from the light as the light dragon, he just couldn't believe that you were gone.
⚔ Despite what Mineru said, that there was no way for you to transform back, Link knew that he would stop at nothing until you were back to normal.
⚔ But first he had to defeat the Demon King, for you.
Tulin
Tumblr media
🏹 When he had first heard about you going missing, Tulin was very upset when he couldn't go out to find you both.
🏹 You were like an older sibling to him, so he prayed to the goddesses that you were safe.
🏹 He was happy to see Link doing alright when he was at Rito Village, but was worried since you were still missing.
🏹 But when his ancestor revealed that the sage of time, which he had also revealed to have been you, transformed into the Light dragon to restore the master sword, Tulin didn't want to believe it.
🏹 He just knew there had to have been a way to turn you back to normal, he wasn't going to give up on you.
🏹 Determined to help out, Tulin accepted the secret stone.
🏹 He would make a promise to you that he would help Link defeat the Demon King, and turn you back to normal.

Fighting Fate: Chapter 2
Ch.1,
(Wow you guys really wanted a continuation of this....well who the heck am I to deny yall. Consider this a confirmed series that I will write out. Enjoy!!!)
-
Ganondorf smiled to himself as he overlooked his kingdom, to see the women and children going about their days as the sounds of the desert surrounded the area with the sun beginning to set for the day. He looked over his shoulder to see Zelda at his desk writing out a letter to be sent to all of the realms as to inform of the union that would come to pass. He couldn’t help but find it a bit funny that she needed a plush pillow in order to sit properly as the desk was much bigger.
He knew that this union would be a difficult one to accept, but if he was truly to insure his peoples freedom then he would be willing. But in the back of his mind he knew this union was not entirely unwelcome. She was a fair and wise girl for such a young age and his attempt to wed Sonia was never going to come to pass, he scoffed at the memory of when he first saw Queen Sonia when both of them were teens. She was just as beautiful as she was now, but years of being apart caused them to drift apart, especially when he found out her betrothal to the Zonai. A memory that would haunt him for the rest of his days.
A small tap on his arm made him flinch ever so slightly as he looked down to see Zelda holding the finished letters.
“You wished to over look the letters did you not?” She asked as he nodded to her and took them to read them. In short they were a simple and none showed of any fear or warning of their union. The ones to the Zora, Goron and Rito were straight to the point and offered comforting words in showing that the union was agreed by both parties. The one written to the hyrulian though were written more as a sign of peace, saying more how the Gerudo were treating her fairly and how no hostility was found with him. It was strange to see how she wrote positive words of his people when many hyrulian saw most Gerudo as thieves and warriors with no mercy.
“They are acceptable. I will have my fastest riders send them to your guards at the border then they can deliver them to each realm.”
“Before you do there is one matter you still need to do.”
He gave her puzzled look as she handed him the quill.
“A show of good faith with your signature and mine on each of them will show that there is no hidden agendas or tricks for the others to worry for.”
He scoffed.
“As if they would care for what I think. They will never truly trust us.” He gestured out to the kingdom.
“Then make them. I promise you...it will help. They will see that you truly wish for peace, trust me on this matter King Ganondorf.”
He was about to speak out once more but he knew there was no point, she was quite headstrong and stubborn, she would make a better Gerudo than Hylian with such traits. He walked over to the desk and signed his name at the bottom of each letter and she signed her own name next to his.
“Perfect, now they may be sent out. She said walking up to one of the women guards who kneeled down and took them bowing her head to both of them leaving them in the room by themselves.
Ganondorf simply shook his head pinching the bridge of his nose realizing that there would be even more political matters in the future. Something a warrior king truly hated...maybe even more the idea of swearing fealty to Rauru.
Zelda turned her gaze to him and softly coughed to get his attention.
“If you would be willing...I would like to see more of your kingdom. Perhaps a walk around the city before it gets too dark.”
He thought on it for a moment before walking over to the throne grabbing his blade in hand. As he motioned for her to follow him. She did so trying to match his speed, every step he took would be equal to three of her own. She watched as he walked ahead of her down the main stairs to see the women guards she had come with were being offered some fruits and drinks as some of the Gerudo women placed fabrics down on the ground clearly showing good faith. The guards noticed her walking with him and for a moment were about to stand up at attention until she waved a hand at them for them to be at ease. It pleased her to see that not all of the Gerudo seemed to hate the Hylians, perhaps staying in his domain would truly help the kingdoms relations.
They both turned at the corner of one of the alleyways to where she saw a few of the small shops, most with food and clothes where she saw other traveling hylians offering trade. She had heard that Ganondorf was open to the trade of the people who were wondering the deserts as not all Hylians were sworn to the crown and preferred the life of being on the open road.
“King Ganondorf!” She heard the sound of multiple small footsteps running their direction to see many young kids run up to their king were he leaned down smiling at each of them gently rubbing their heads messing up their hair in the process. One of the children snuck up behind and climbed up his back making him sigh as they tried to topple him over with no success. Zelda smiled and couldn’t help but laugh at the sight. She saw his gaze fall on her for a moment before the children stood behind him looking over at her. Clearly a bit nervous to see a hylian of her stature. She could see them whispering to him and suddenly he chuckled to himself as he pointed to her and whispered them something that made them all smile and run up to her.
“Lady Zelda come with us! Please you’ll want to meet them.”
“Yes please miss you with love them they are the cutest sand seals.”
“oh I suppose...alright...woah” She said as the girls gently pulled her hand forward and some gently pushed her legs forward. The sigh made Gannon smirk to himself as he walked behind them carrying two of the girls on his shoulder as they gripped his hair laughing as he walked.
Zelda saw the children bringing her to a side stable where a large pen was. The children let go of her hands and ran to the fence to look at the sand for any vibrations. Zelda as well was a bit curious as she looked at the sand with them until a small rumble could be seen but then disappeared.
“Aw no fair, they must be sleeping.”
“Well perhaps all they need is to hear his call.” one of the children said looking up at Ganondorf. He rolled his eyes for a moment as he spoke.
“They are not sleeping children...they are simply waiting.”
Zelda looked curiously at her and then back at the sand when suddenly two of the biggest sand seals she had ever seen pounced out of the ground bringing their heads to the top of the pen.
“In the name of the goddess...they are huge. I never imagined they grew this big” Zelda said as the children laughed and smiled as they walked up to them giving them pets. Ganon walked beside her putting the two children on his shoulder on the ground.
“They have to be, they are mine to command and ride. None of the smaller ones could handle me.”
“Oh...” She said as got a better look at them as they licked the children's hands and faces. One had much more grey than brown fur with a red mane with larger tusks than the other. The other while the same size had blueish fur with a white mane to match. She saw one of the children pick up a whole melon from the side of the pen and offered it to them, eating it in one big bite.
“Miss, here  here your turn.” one of the children offered a smaller piece of melon to her pulling her closer to them. Zelda smiled as she broke the piece in half offering both of them. The seals hummed to themselves as they each ate them so quick that it almost surprised her. They licked her hands and gently nuzzled their mouth toward her hands trying to lick up the juice left on them. She started to laugh at the feeling as she watched the children smiling and laughing with her. Ganondorf watched with a bit of surprise and curiosity.
Most hylians were not used to sand seals yet she seemed to be completely at ease around them, it was as if she had seen them before yet he knew she had never been to his kingdom before, he simply chalked it up to her having seen them when she arrived but still it was a bit odd.
Suddenly the sound of a spear hitting the ground was heard as two women stood behind looking to the children.
“Children the moon is out, you should head home for the night. You will all need your rest to become great warriors.”
The children looked a bit disappointed as they simply nodded as Ganondorf held a hand out to the warrior women giving the children a moment before leaning down to them and putting his blade away from their sight as he opened his arms out to them and offered a giant hug making each of them smile and laugh as he lifted them from the ground as if they weighed nothing. They all laughed as he placed them down on the ground running off into the directions of their homes. he smiled to himself before looking over to Zelda who was utterly shocked.
The demon king that she knew would never have done that, heck it was almost impossible for her to even imagine. Yet here he was offering them kind actions like a father would to his children.
“So surprised to see such acts from their King...” He said a bit coldly to her thinking the look she gave him was one of judgement.
“No. Its...its just nice to see they are enjoying their childhoods...I never really had such an option.” She grew a bit saddened as the memories of her father constantly criticizing her for her interests in the tech and the loss of her childhood when her mother passed. She honestly couldn’t recall the last time her father made her smile like that.
He looked ashamed of himself for what he said. He should have known that being related to the royal hyrulian family was no easy task, after all the responsibility was not unknown to him. She looked to see Ganondorf facial expression change as he looked at his sand seals and then out at the gate leading into the desert and immediately a thought came to his mind.
“Did you still wish to see the lands of my kingdom?”
‘Of course.”
He hummed to himself for a moment as he whistled to the his seals that perked up their ears and immediately ran to the front of the gate. She watched as Ganon tied a small supply back on to the back and checked the ropes tied to the gigantic sled, he stood on it and checked the ropes before offering his hand to her.
“Your not afraid now are you? Tough girl.” He said with a small smirk.
She shook her head as she took his hand letting her stand in front of him with his arms on either side holding onto the handle of the sled. He kicked up the reins and in an instant the seals ran off into the vast ocean of the sand. She felt her whole body hit into the front of his as she tried to keep herself stable until she felt his arm wrapped around her midsection. She couldn’t help herself by grabbing his arm, to be both surprised and maybe perhaps a bit welcome at the gesture . The sand seals rushed into the dunes past multiple sinkholes almost too close for comfort, jumping out of the sand so quickly made her whole body lift off the sled a bit making her laugh but also scream surprisingly as she saw them climbing through the thick desert sand up the hills to see a small oasis that seemed to be void of any people. The cool desert air pricked her skin as she felt the grains of sand cling to her skin and clothes. The seals stopped just a bit short of the small oasis shaking off their fur as Ganondorf looked down at her only to laugh loudly at the sight. Her hair was slightly a mess and still she clung onto his arm with her legs shaking a bit.
“That was....that was not what I expected.”
“Hahaha. Perhaps you would want to try it again so you get used to it.”
“No, no, I'm fine with us stopping here...” She said looking down at her hand on his arm, immediately feeling her ears getting a bit warmer as she quickly moved it to fix her hair.
“You...you can let go of me now.”
“Are you sure about that?” He said moving his arm lower so she was sitting on it lifting her up to his eye level.
“I wouldn’t want my new bride to hurt herself.”
“Y.....yes I am very sure...please.”
“As you wish.”
He smiled to himself as he placed her back on the ground as he stood off of the sled untying the ropes allowing the seals to drink from the oasis. He looked behind him to see Zelda looking out into the now illuminated sands by the moon. The wind howling into the night as the faint hue of the kingdoms lights could be seen. He breathed in the night air, moments like this reminded why he was fighting so hard for his people. He knew what the other realm thought and in truth he couldn’t have cared less. All he really wanted was freedom, both for his people and himself. For years he hated that the knowledge of Demise’s curse flowing through his blood made all those who looked upon him as nothing but a monster. The moment from his birth he was told that he would lead the people to their true value...yet he would be hated and feared by all. Perhaps it was foolish of him to hope that he could change his fate.
Suddenly he felt his sand seals leaning on him offering a comforting nudge of their heads as he pet them. He leaned over to the sled and untied the rug that he kept with him in case he was to scout for days on end along with his troops. He placed it down on the hard ground as he watched his older seal sitting behind him as the  younger seal lay down beside him breathing slowly knowing fully well the children must have fed them more than they thought they could handle.
As he looked over Zelda and noticed she was shivering. The moon light glazed over her skin making her look almost like a holy spirit as the dress she wore which was lightly covered in sand blew in the air in time with her hair. Yet she was still a sight for sore eyes, truly one he didn’t expect to enjoy.
“Lady Zelda...” He said seeing her turn around gripping her arms as she noticed him sitting down beside his seals with an arm gesturing to the spot next to him. The moon illuminating his body in a low glow as the gold accessories he wore gleamed in the light. His vibrant red hair surrounding his frame as the loose Gerudo clothes blew in the wind. She was now completely nervous. Why was he being like this to her? They were not wed and yet he was acting completely differently than she ever expected. This man was the reason for all the pain in her time, Mipha, Urbosa, Revali and Daruk. All of them died by his hand, the pain inflected on her kingdom and Link.
Link... She had almost forgotten that he was searching for her in their time. But she knew the choice she made was for the best. By marrying him, all the deaths and suffering that happened will never come to pass. But then again there was no true guarantee that it would happen...after all with the blood of the goddess in her veins and Demise in him...fate might be cruller to them than any past incantations. She would not allow such a fate to happen again...not if she could stop it.
“You’ll freeze if you just stand there.” He said this time patting the rug as if it were no big deal.
She simply nodded in agreement as she sat next to him as the younger of the seal cuddled up to her allowing all the warmth to return to her body. She looked up at Ganondorf and spoke.
“...Thank you. In truth I did not think you to be like this to a woman you barely knew...seeing as we both have strange fates...”
“You should know by now that I am not a complete and utter monster. I am a man first and a king second. Whatever the other realms see in me...I will change that fate. No matter how it must be done.”
He looked down at her.
“I can see in your eyes that you wished at some point that you never had the blood of the goddess in your veins...for what reason you need not tell me...but clearly your family sees you as thing to be relished on a pedestal...a holy figure.”
She saw him look up at the stars and sighed. She knew what he meant, living a normal life was never going to happen. She had to grow up fast and learn to fight off the Calamity since she was very young. While the protecting the realm was more than enough a reason to do it...it was never truly enough for those around her. Only the champions and Link truly understood her and yet...here she was sitting with their enemy so to be wed and in truth felt that he too understood her struggle.
“I do hope that this...” She gestured to both of them.
“Will truly work.”
“We will have to wait and see.” He said leaning back. When he felt her lay her head against his arm which surprised him seeing her gently petting the younger seals head making it hum in appreciation. He could feel his heart beat ever so quickly at the sight as a small blush came upon his face as he ran a hand through his hair trying to ignore it.
“King Ganondorf....”
“Hmm.”
“I meant to ask, what are there names” she said pointing to the seals.
He pointed to the bigger one and then to the smaller one.
“ Cerbofog and Tuguk.” the seals moved their heads in response but soon calmed down and layed back down in the sand.
“Really...Huh...”
“What? They are Gerudo warrior names. What would you name them?”
“Well...personally they look more like Blubber and Flipper to me...”
The look on his face was one of pure cringe at the idea of the names for him being so...casual. It didn’t help that when she called them that they actually looked up with wide smiling faces barking in excitement.
“See...even they like the idea of nicknames like that.” She said rubbing their fur causing them to roll over in pure joy as she ruffled up their manes in a friendly manner. He was never gonna the hear the end of this from her. But the sight of her laughing as the newly appointed Blubber and Flipper loved on her even more than before made him sigh to himself...for once...in a very long time did he feel peace.

Post-totk headcanons!
heavy spoilers ahead
ZELDA.
this woman spent millenia as a dragon she is going to have goddamn antlers.
so yeah, she keeps small antlers. they glow. big golden eyelashes too, eyes keep a strange glow to them
she's generally more eldritch.
I think she tends to have more memory issues after coming back. nothing too bad, but she struggles a bit sometimes.
Now Link- he does not just get back his arm. Amputate that man.
yeah so he loses his right arm from a bit above the elbow once Rauru disappears for good and takes his arm and magic back.
He gets phantom pains and all, sometimes he reaches for ultrahand and is just like. ah yeah
he takes it pretty well honestly. Purah and Zelda figure out how to make him a prosthesis and he wears it most of the time, but doesn't like it that much - he just would hate to get caught by surprise by monsters or the Yiga and fumble w/ his left arm.
Zelda and Link are always together after totk happens, but like. even more always together. And it's not just Link protecting Zelda anymore, she's protecting him too.
I think she gains a sort of very faint healing power from her time as the light dragon, so she tries to find ways to always be touching Link so he doesn't get too hurt
Mainly because he has the habit to just. not say when he's hurt, or when something's wrong.
The sages ask a lot about their ancestors, and Zelda loves to tell them and Link everything about her time in the past. She warns that she may not remember everything well, but they don't really care.
more than 100 years after the calamity started, some of the champions are starting to get forgotten - mainly, Revali and Urbosa. Daruk literally has his face carved in a moutain and the Zora live so long that most of them still remember Mipha, but Revali and Urbosa are really becoming more legend than anything. Link and Zelda make sure people remember them.
After everything starts to calm down, Link is forbidden from coming into Gerudo Town again, unless there's something happening and he has to come and protect the city, so Zelda visits often and tells him all about how everyone's doing. Riju sometimes comes out of the town and goes on walks with Zelda and Link.
Link spends a lot of time in Rito Village, telling the kids about Revali and how annoying he was- but mostly about how strong and skilled as an archer he was. He doesn't want Revali to be forgotten.
Sidon is so stressed lmao, Link visits him often. He brings gifts for him and Yona and spends time with them and everyone at the Domain. Sidon is very thankful for his friend.
Link hangs out a lot around Mipha's statue, just letting her watch over him. it's one of the rare places he feels safe enough to put his sword down and just relax.
Tulin is SUCH an excitable little bird child. He loves hanging out with Link. They're siblings I'm deciding right NOW
Link shows Zelda his dream house in Akkala and she just loses it. Link. Link you put my paintings around? Link you out our favorite flowers here? Link you got a bigger bed for the both of us? Link our horses are here? Link I'm Going To Marry You
They move here and make the house in Hateno a safe house for everyone in the village and every traveler that might come. They place travel gates near both houses so they can still go to the school.
They get married because I said so-
Back in the King's time the wedding would've been really big and public and annoying, but Zelda isn't having it. She does make a public announcement that they are getting married, but the actual wedding is a small thing (lol small).
They get married under Satori Mountain's cherry blossoms, and invite the sages, Yona, Purah, Impa, Paya, a lot of the kiddos they met in their adventures, etc. they wear flower crowns too. Link cries. Zelda cries. Everyone cries.
Link doesn't really become King because the second Zelda goes yeah you're kinda legally King now he just goes EW. NOPE.
So Link stays the Queen's knight, they're just yknow. wed.
Hyrule is rebuilt! Nothing bad happens again! because I cannot have these babies hurting again
I think Zelda learns how to fight cuz like. Come on this girl is definitely going to want to explore the Depths and Link is not going to let her go in there without a sword.
She's going to love Froxes. like so much. They're Frogs Link!!!! They Are Frogs
She finds she's most comfortable with a bow and gets a strong golden bow made for her (not the bow of light but something similar, way less powerful) and a shield cuz like goddess pls use shields people
edit after finding the dusk bow and that one person in the notes said she should get the dusk bow she gets the dusk bow
omg they build cities in the sky. They make big ass stairs.
anyways pls add on if u got headcanons for post totk.

TOTK Rauru HC's
Tumblr media
Here's some headcanons I thought about this goat handsome man at 2am while chatting with him in Character AI sjhdajkshdkjahd. Him and Revali have in a grip it's incredible.
You bet he loves getting his ears pet by you.
Your scratches are the BEST thing in existence for him.
Though his sweet point is behind his ears just where his skull and ears joint, RIGHT THERE and he'll melt.
His ears are really sensitive okay.
Starts purring when petting his ears but will only allow it to people he feels comfortable with, in this case, only you. <3
Chin scratches please!
His ears move depending his mood.
For real this man is definetely more a cat than a zonai.
When flustered, the tip of his ears will flush in a pink shade.
Gets even more flushed when you notice his flushed ears.
Alright I'll stop with his ears I know I talk a lot about them BUT I JUST CAN'T HELP HOW THIS MAN MAKES ME FEEL- NLNDFOUAUHLCNALSA
An adorable big man, zonai....goat? ksjdsk
He genuinely gets interested about people you speak so fondly about, can be a family member, a friend, a colleague. If you love them, he loves them as well. ^^
Would like to meet them.
HE IS THE CEO OF GENTLE GESTURES FR I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW SOFT AND CARING THIS MAN IS.
LOVES to caress your hair and touch your cheeks. You're just to precious to him.
Despite him having everything a king could possible have, he thinks you're the most beautiful and amazing thing in the whole kingdom og Hyrule
His priority is to make you feel comfortable and at ease with him.
Puts his arm around your shoulders ALOT. (Man's too tall, he can't reach your waist without crunching all his back, so for both yours and his comfort he choose your shoulders.)
Teases you and loves to make you a flustered mess in private.
A FLIRT in private of course.
He finds your flustered state adorable.
If you get to know him he's really playful.
His favorite nickname for you is "my dear" <3

you know what i just saw some more of that weird ass reward for getting all shrines in totk, and tbh im still so
what is that?? there are no dog like sentient species in this version of hyrule?? the most is the sonau themselves but they got no tails??? i dont think anything in this hyrule has a tail like that? and sonau legs are pretty normalish human too areant they? they dont even have proper claws, just veguely longer fingernails- i guess there are the statues in the underground that kinda look like it (they dont got tails either tho do they??) but like ,,, theres nothing you can learn about them right? its never mentioned or even hinted at despite there being so goddamm much of the sonau still just up and functioning- their lil "material deposits" in the depths arent even withered beyond some plants growing on them, all their 'tech' (isnt it just .. magic tho? where the mechanism actually? its usually just some stone animated by green swirlies ... but ill mention that in another post) just runs perfectly like it was made yesterday
where does that thing come from?? and its supposed to the the HERO FROM THE TAPESTRY???? huh????? and its decked out in sonau clothing head to toe with clear gerudo refs too?? that so weird bc youd feel like there would have been some mention of this, especially considering that that thing is on the tapestry and impa(was it her? or purah?) RECOGNIZES ITS THE HERO FROM THE TAPESTRY???? like, CASUALLY even?? like a well known fact ?? did i miss some big lore part somewhere that talked about that dog gerudo sonau thing?? and if its on the tapestry that means it wasnt that long ago really (i mean ... all the sonau shit is still pretty much fully intact so arguing that they came and went in the time between totks past and botws past isnt that plausible either imo ..??) o how come you never see anything from that and yet its somehow completely known for them, and you cannot tell me she saw the abstract version of the hero and then looked at that armor and went thats the same bc two colors veguely matched or what?!! also given that its fully clothed in sonau stuff .. like the arms are literally raurus bracelets .. thingies, but then the sonau where supposedly a complete and unknown mystery until it suddendly came all raining from the sky and revealing its been there and EVERYWHERE the whole time apparently? with the most we knew was some flimsyly made stereotypical barbaric armor set in faron in botw? which i guess is also fully undone by totk since it shares absolutely zero in desing to the 'actual' sonau stuff we got in totk
and if it where some sort of descendant from the mix of kids rauru and sonai kinda .. must have had (unless they did away with zeldas bloodline stuff too .. which .. why even call it zelda anymore at this point lol) then again, where did those features come from (like the tail and red hair, the strange googly eyes? is there a mix of goron in there too??) and how was it then not documented or seen anywhere else?? youd imagine the mutant kids of the first tragically dead king and queen of this hyrule would be known in some way .. that is assuming it was that, but given the weird features no other species has still is ... it just doesnt add up
(i had the awful thoguht for a second that it might supposed to mean the gerudo came from that but .. the gerudo are already there LITERALLY the 1:1 same as in the present, just like all the other species ... which is also disappointing as hell, like seriously? not even different feather colors for the rito? literally the same clothing for the gerudo as in botw but white with golden stuff instead?? some vaguely different zora features? idk ? anything? also the hero would never be gerudo, we know only evil comes from that *explodes*)
if its supposed to be a mystery then they absolutely failed in making it any interesting or intriguing but still something that feels like its part of the world, like botw was very good at giving you mysteries you wanted to talk and theorize about that still felt organic, harmonic with the world, but in totk its all either boring answers or just ... completely out of nowhere and just kinda stumps you (in a bad way)
*sighs* yet antoher ramble rant, this game could have had it all, it was right there on the plate in front of them all they needed to do is grasp at it, why wouldnt you ..
totk will never not frustrate me huh ಠ_ಠ
