For your Super Vessel au, how does Sonic react?

Sorry for the late response!

But, I think at first he would be angry and upset that he got thrown into a guardian position with no warning. Sonic is also freaked out that the Chaos Emeralds can take control of him at any point and he can’t fight back. Sonic also doesn’t like the fact the Chaos Emeralds talk to him through his mind. The voice the Chaos Emeralds have is hazy and hard to understand yet clear to Sonic. It’s like the ancients language but Sonic can now understand it perfectly. This means he can also understand koco and chao.

(Also a little headcanon I have is that Knuckles can understand koco and chao normally since he’s the guardian of the Master Emerald but it takes him a minute to understand it.)

Back on track, Sonic at first doesn’t mind that he’s always in his super form, but it quickly gets annoying since he is always bursting with chaos energy and can just give someone the effects of like ten energy drinks just by touching them. This also means that Sonic doesn’t have to eat, drink, or sleep. This doesn’t apply to Knuckles since Knuckles doesn’t have the Master Emerald in him like Sonic.

And about the extra strength, Sonic can actually control it pretty well, most of the time. He’s used to controlling his strength due to the Werehog experience, but Sonic will forget about his strength and high five someone…then they precede to crash into a wall.

Sonic also hates the fact he’s stuck in his Super form forever since the Chaos Emeralds refuse to release from him.

Also Sonic is immortal now, so angst is ripe.

Mario, wearing a Mile Morales' Spiderman costume, looks at himself in the mirror and then down at his stomach before letting out a sigh.

Peach: (Places her Hands Onto Mario's Shoulders While Wearing Her Spider Gwen Costume) Still worried about your weight, sweetie?

Mario: Yeah. It's been months since I've started my diet routine, and I feel like not a lot have changed at all. (Crosses his Arms) Maybe I'm not trying hard enough?

The HedgeFox is this AU's equivalent of the Werehog, but since wolves are HUGE, I changed the species to a Werefox (plus Sonic and Tails being the same species is an adorable bonus).

He wasn't cursed by Dark Gaia when the world split apart, he was just born a were-being.

(super rough idea of what the different moons do to his appearance)

I go on a super babble-fest, so there's an entire rant below the cut.

When a Super Moon (3-4 times a year) appears, Sonic's HedgeFox form increases from 56 cm to 65 cm to reflect the roughly 14% increase the moon appears to be then and becomes 'super charged' in a sense.

He becomes super paranoid and overstimulated when it's a Super Moon, thinking goes into more primal instincts, with him calling Tails his 'cub' even.

A Super Moon to a were-being in this universe is a nightmare, but it gives you plenty of time to realize what's about to happen so you can find a spot to hide (kind of to protect others, but mostly to protect yourself from the sensory overload you're about to face).

The cycle of a Full moon takes place in normally 3 nights in a row once a month.

Night 1, Transform. Day 1, Revert to normal. Night 2, Transform. Day 2, Revert to normal. Night 3, Transform. Day 3, Revert to normal until next full moon cycle.

But for a Super Moon, it goes a little differently.

Night 1, Transform. Day 1, Stay in form. Night 2, Super Moon Further Transform. Day 2, Revert to Normal Full Moon Form. Night 3, Stay in form. Day 3, Finally Revert normal until next full moon cycle.

Yep, they remain in the Full Moon form even during the day when it's a Super Moon, it saves them energy from going straight from their base form to their Super Moon form.

Their power is basically doubled on a Super Moon, but that just leads to them being incredibly paranoid that they'll harm someone they care about by accident.

During a Super Moon, Sonic cannot release Tails. He seriously tries, knowing that he's being overprotective, but his mind is too clouded with worry that he can't even begin to fight it (not really that Tails minds, it does though worry him that his dad is going through so much in his mind and all he can do to help is just be in his arms). After Knuckles joins the party, they learn that he can finally release Tails if Knuckles is nearby, but he still has to keep a sharp eye on the kit.

A Micro Moon is a lot more simple. Due to how far the moon is, they can actually choose whether or not to transform into the were-being, but it's 14% smaller and half as strong as normal.

Ehem- uh, sorry for the rambling. I really like the Werehog and well, since this is my AU, I can make it stay. >:) It probably doesn't make any sense, sorry about that.

☆ Sonic in his Werehog form isn’t that different from his usual form. Other than the obvious changes in appearance, he’s still the same funny guy. Just.. a bit more huge and fluffier. Truth be told, he didn’t even know you liked werewolves.

☆ He found it weird— yet oddly comforting—that you didn’t really mind his new form. He loved how you didn’t mind his razor sharp teeth, or the unsettling growl tinting his voice every time he spoke. You loved to feel his fur, and occasionally poke at his fangs to see just how sharp they really are.

☆ Sonic as a yandere would be Clingy, obsessive, possessive & paranoid. This only gets worse when he’s a werehog, as these traits amplify significantly.

☆ Speaking of, I think his clingy and obsessive behaviour would become stronger during this. He already hates being away from you normally, but it just gets worse when he’s a werehog. His jealousy would also skyrocket. He’d also be way more protective of you.

☆ On the topic of jealousy, I don’t think he minds getting his hands dirty. If he feels he needs to, for any reason, he’ll do it under the guise that he’s protecting you. If it’s someone he doesn’t like, he’ll convince himself they’re bad news and need to be taken care of. He’s very protective of you, and he won’t let anything horrible happen to you, so why should he just stand by and let some guy who’s obviously making you uncomfortable talk to you? He’s a friend? Sure he is. You’re just blinded, surely. That’s the only explanation the werehog can come up with after all.

☆ I also think he’d inherit at least some animalistic traits and instincts. I think his sense of smell would be heightened, and so would his needs to protect you. He’d also be a lot faster and stronger than he was before. He’d become familiar with your scent rather quickly, and it’s like a drug to him. He craves you, to hold you close and claim you as his, but he knows better than to kidnap you. Not immediately, at least. Besides, he knows you can never outrun him even if you tried your hardest, much less be able to struggle against him. Sure you can try, but he’s not letting you go that easily.

☆ Taken over by his animal instincts, he can’t help but give you gifts of his own. It’ll start small, with little dead animals such as mice or even flickies. But then it’ll grow bigger, with every kill Sonic commits in your honor being delivered straight to your house. Whether you choose to accept his gifts or run away is completely up to you. But that doesn’t mean they’ll stop, nor will Sonic. He loves the chase, after all. Plus, he’d act like a wounded puppy if you found out it was him and expressed your distaste.

☆ I think he’d find it adorable how tiny you are compared to him. He loves to pick you up and spin you around. There’s just something about you being smaller that just drives him crazy. (No, not like that.) This would be followed by him squishing you in a hug, allowing you to be basically wrapped around his warm fur as he smiled, his sharp teeth allowing themselves to be seen. That’s one of his favourite things do to with you— to hug and cuddle you. It makes him think he’s protecting you, and allows him to be closer to you, both physically and emotionally.

Sonic Forces Mobile roundup: Tech Knight Silver teased, Surge the Tenrec leaked

Several character events have been teased and leaked alongside new patch notes for Sonic Forces: Speed Battle. Here's a quick run-through of them all.

Surge the Tenrec leaked

Take a look at the official SEGA HARDlight render of Surge the Tenrec, spotted within the game's files. Not much is known about her runner specifications and release window as of yet, but more is expected to be revealed later on.

Surge will join Whisper the Wolf and Tangle the Lemur as the one the latest IDW Sonic comic characters to appear in official games media.

Tech Knight Silver officially teased, Mummy Knuckles coming soon

SEGA HARDlight posted two teasers for the upcoming slates of character skins in Speed Battle: the "Tech Knight" skin for Silver the Hedgehog, and the "Mummy" Knuckles the Echidna skin.

All of the aforementioned runners were inadvertently teased by name in a spreadsheet leak from the game's developers in late June. Since then, a spokesperson acknowledged that the slate was "subject to change," but did not rule out the release of the mentioned characters, which all came to fruition as planned.

A spokesperson did not acknowledge the leaked renders of Surge and Tech Knight Silver as of press time, due to a policy that prohibits discussion of datamined content.

New in-game events

Speed Battle players can collect Special cards for Sonic the Werehog and Reaper Metal Sonic during the "Graveyard Smash" event. The mission rewards will alternate between each character in the event, scheduled between 24 to 31 October. The event's bonus box will contain 15 cards for each runner.

There is also a new "Brawl Mode" event to earn guaranteed cards for Sonic the Werehog and Reaper Metal Sonic. Scheduled between 24 October to 7 November, players will be placed into teams between the two runners.

To score points in this Team Vs Event you will need to hold the Brawl token, and carry the Brawl token over the finish line. Deal damage to rivals to steal the Brawl token from them, but if you get hit they'll take it back!

The winners of the event will receive 50 cards for their chosen runner, while the runners-up will receive 25 cards.

The new Halloween-themed events followed the launch event for the Classic Super Sonic runner, timed to coincide with the release of Sonic Superstars. Here's the specifications, in case you missed it:

You mentioned Unleashed being a main season story, and this was probably asked but I can't find the post, how was Unleashed done?

Mainly the whole Werehog part?

Unleashed was done through a whole copious amount of planning, a whole copious amount of things going wrong, Sonic completely throwing the whole thing on its head and a lot of paperwork.

A lot of work was put in to take Sonic around the world organically - he really did go around the world! - and a lot of work was put in to make sure he never left that set path.

@blsantos As far as being hesitant to read long fics, I totally get that. Sometimes when I see a large number of chapters it can overwhelm me at first too. However, at least for me, the story is one of those that I haven’t been able to put down since I started! Like I just said, I started it only yesterday and I am now at chapter 38 lol. Also, some of the chapters are really short, so don’t let the number scare you. Besides, I think with most stories once you’ve found something you like, you’re always wanting more anyway!

For those of you who haven’t heard of Wars of the Heart by @midnightfire1222 , it’s a werehog Sonamy story taking place in an alternate universe. If you like DND or fantasy novels, this one is right up your alley. It’s also so hot! 🥵 Just a warning to my younger followers or those with aversion to violence/spice, it’s intended for an older audience. But if that doesn’t bother you, I HIGHLY recommend it!

Sonic: (Raises an Eyebrow in Confusion) Second time?

Sonic: Oh! Right. (Walks in the House Before Closing and Locking the Door Behind Him) Sorry. So whatcha wanna do to pass the night? (Walks With Amy to the Living Room) Movie Cuddle Night?

Amy: (Smiles Brightly While Holding Sonic's Big Arm Next to Her) Of course!~ I think it'll might help me come up with some Halloween costumes for us to wear.
